>>10629973Surprise drop today of Python Patrol Cobra Officer, Copperhead, and Flight Pod w/ TeleViper. Get them at Target or Pulse
I almost like the PP Copperhead more than the standard, I just wish they'd gone with exposed arms instead of the sleeves for that one.
>>10629982>exposed arms instead of the sleevesAgree, the 25th design was my favorite. Painting bodysuits on exposed skin is not good, save that for superhero figures
>>10629993And the forearm tattoo is the coolest thing about the figure imoAs a sidenote, is Valkyrie a designation for lady cobra troopers that already existed in the past or was it made up for the new set? And am I too presume because of that designation and the armband that they're meant to be more elite than standard infantry? Or does it just mean they're women who are on the same level and women typically aren't?
>>10630007I still feel like that was just done for retail differentiation purposes rather than some sort of lore reason
>>10630007There's no lore behind the name so far. But what would they have sold them as? "Cobra female troopers"?
>>10630007The specific Valkyrie thing was made up for the line. Maybe it's supposed to distinguish them from regular troopers as if they were Vipers, but personally I think it's just because calling them "Cobra Troopers (female)" would have caused Twitter fags to get all riled up and Hasbro wanted to avoid that.
>>10630021>>10630024>>10630028I gotcha, I just never had the lady trooper 3 (?) pack from 15 years ago or whenever it was and I wondered if they were called valkyries in the bio card or something along those lines.
>>10630031Oh absolutely not. The only specific name the Club used was "nightstalkers" for the black repaints. The one hasbro released in the 3-pack was just an officer.
That head looks way too good but yeah as I said before too distinctively MJ. But she rocks that uniform.
>>10630176there's the earlier MJ head that they also used for black widow that might be a more suitably generic redhead
Anon said they thought the pp Trubble bubble was hideous but honestly I'm coming around to it. Ofcourse I'd rather just buy a televiper in pp colorways.
>>10630277at least with the PP version I can't justify buying two regular ones according to my personal autism rules
Does anyone know a place to go for alternate heads/gear for Classified? Been interested in the Marauder weapons but they only do 1/12 scale weapons
>>10630844I see a lot of people buy stuff from Grid Iron Props but I find them to be a tad overpriced although they are painted and finished pieces. There's also Anthanatos Unlimited on Etsy. They're unpainted prints but have stuff like vests and webgear, heads, and tons of weapons/accessories
Since I didnt like the mustard straps on the Valkyrie, I did a quick repaint of them. And while I had the figure dissembled, I did a quick touch up of her as well. Pretty happy with the results. Will have to bust out the airbrush to color the guns black, so for now Im using the guns from the other one.
>>10631436That looks great, they really should've gone with a brown like that instead of Desert Storm beige.
>>10631436Way better
Soon™
>>10631437Or atleast made the guns black.
>>10631511>serpentorJELLY
>>10631601He's the best figure in the line, or at least top 3.Or so I tell myself to justify spending over 100 dollars on him and the chariot.
>>10631620I'd even buy a re-release without the chariot if it meant I could get just the fig. is the head-collar combo as bad as some say?
>>10631663He's been on my shelf with the separate collar/head exclusively. I definitely don't give a shit if it looks more cartoon accurate or whatever if it has zero range of motion. And apparently they're doing a re-run of the deluxe Mindbender, maybe they'll do that with Serpentor and the price will drop into the 70 dollar range
>>10631436Tight pants
Trubble Bubble just arrived!
>>10631694I need to get a better stand for it. Wish they could have included one.
>>10631696yeah, it's annoying that hasbro has that tripod balljoint stand but they only use it about 1/3 of the times they should
>>10631683oh he's big too, nice. i thought he was standard size
>>10631710eyeballing it he's like maybe 6'10 compared to the taller cobra guys who are like 6'3 maybe
>>10631620He was stupid expensive, also thanks to the anon that dropped links for serpentor and mindbender if your still around. >still boxed since I've yet to set a display for classified stuff.
>>10631908Is that black shelf from target? I used to use that one or one just like it until I got a wider, deeper one from a neighborhood garage sale.
Alright Joeanons, I just got Shipwreck and Torpedo, but now I'm stuck with two water guys and nothing for them to do. Besides the Fortnite boat, what are my options for a decent 1:12ish vehicle for them to use? I don't want it to take up an entire wall of my toyroom, but I don't want them in a little inflatable raft either. It was hard enough finding boats for these guys back when they were 1:18 scale. At 1:12 I don't even know where to start looking.
>>10632051Maybe there's a jet ski out there that would workBut as far as 1:12 scale vehicles not taking up too much space, you might have to get over that because anything more than a motorcycle or single-person flying thing, it's gonna be big
>>10632051>>10632062There is a Barbie jet ski at Dollar Tree/General that I see people getting and painting for Joes. You could grab a few of them and maybe some of the Final Faction weapon packs and kitbash some stuff together
A Lone Wolf Toys Hulk Hogan arrived for me today, bros. I'm getting ready to mail him out to a customizer for some paint work, and then he's off to stomp Cobras.
>>10632390the world just (gained) another hulkamaniachttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9JfhANM9B0
>>10632390Some other Lone Wolf customs arrived as well: got a Pythona, along with a Scarlett head, a Covergirl, Baroness, and Zarana. The Zarana I'm sending a donar figure to the customizer to repaint as a DIC version. I had to boil her torso to pop her torso to pop her apart, but it was worth the effort.
>>10632420Fun fact: Zartan and his siblings are of the few vintage Joes who are glued together on the inside. You have to boil the torso in a pot and then wait until it becomes rubbery, and start squeezing it until the seams start to apear on the sides. Then you keep re-heating and slowly pry the seams apart. Eventually you sort of just rip it all apart-- and you've done it. Honestly easier than I thought.
Oh shit, I just got this notification.
>>10632390who's your customs guy? I tried to get a hold of Matthew LeCroy, on instagram and FB but no reply : (
Couple of magnets and the air mine now has a nice spot next to the hottest part on the Bubble.
>>10632446Matt's agreed to do few for me. He takes a long time to reply and is probably super busy. I just mailed him everything here: >>10632420 I think people dick him around on prices for his work, and act like it's too pricey for him to paint a figure. The other guys I'm talking to are Joshua Joe and Luke's Toy Box(he's going to sell me pre-painted heads). Lone Wolf Toys also said he'd paint a figure for me and quoted a price, and put me on a waiting list for when he gets some free time. Here's some more stuff that arrived as well: a cartoon Lady Jaye, and Sunbow Cobra Commander head. The Lady Jaye's going to be a DIC version for my 90's Joes.
>>10632468nice, I was just gonna have him hold it like a football
>>10632486It's weird they didn't include a spot for it but at the same time it seems like the intentionally left a spot open on the mine for a magnet along with that space on the pod itself.
>>10632524what kind of magnet did you use?
Vypra gets to hang out with the other Cobras since there's so few female ones. She works pretty well as kitbash figures go, the colors are very fetching. The skull mask is just tilly tho, wish it had been a full alternate head instead.
>>10633068I'm gonna put her with Copperhead and Croc Master since she was originally leaked as some kind of Python Patrol generic ninja.
nigga what
>>10633156They showed off the prototype at SDCC
>>10633117She has the Python Patrol icon on her too and her outfit is snake-themed.
>>10633183absolutely tiny for even that scale
>>10633292Yeah but it looks cool. I want to know if it can actually hold figures or is it a millennium falcon type playset. Like, besides being cool looking and huge, what does it do?
I'm ready for my HISSTank now.
>>10633310I'm ready to buy the figures on ebay and skip the tank
>>10633324Why buy drivers for a vehicle you won't even have? And you'll probably pay the price just for the four figures that the tank was originally going for.
>>10633183this is dope as hell, if it has a decent interior ill probably jump on this and i have like 2 gijoe figures
>>10633328Because I like Cobra guys and I don't think having a 3 foot long plastic tank that would end up on a closet shelf is as novel as some I also don't give a shit about the classic CC, they've already said the point of that one is the mickey mouse-esque logo and they'll do a normal classic one later
I wish they'd make the exact same hisstank with all the light features for 1/18. 1/12 shit is useless.
>>10633348It would still be $175 to $200. Mando's 1/18th Naboo fighter was what... $125 with no electronics?
>>10632648These ones that are meant for table top minis. They aren't super strong but given their size I think it's okay. If you shake it around, the mine will pop off but for display it's fine. I used two in the hole on the mine so that it would stand a bit proud and then one to go onto the back of the pod.>https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084NZVDQ3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
>>10633382Nice, thanks.I could see experimenting with these for mounting guns without pegs on the backs of figures too
>>10633412You definitely can. I originally bought them when I first got the Cobra Island troopers and wanted to remove the pegs off the rifles but still be able to store them on their backs. They fit perfectly into the holes on their vests.
>>10633348>I wish they'd make the exact same hisstank with all the light features for 1/18. 1/12 shit is useless. They don't make electronics in these kinds of toys anymore because of import laws. That's why you only get them through Kickstarters and things direct to consumer.
>>10633183I hope it has an interior playset that I can use for my o-rings.
New Skeletron pic
Looks stupid
looks Cool
looks
Looks original
I got the McFarlane edition Snow Job
>>10634116Kek>Not sure if serious
>>10634116>falcon>cover girl>shipwreck>snowjobjoes really are batting lower than cobras lmao
>>10634116Mine isn't that bad for the alt head, but it's not a great paint job in general. Making these windowless and exclusive is stupid
Do the WWE figures and accessories scale well with Classified? I was looking through 1:12 stuff on Amazon and a lot of those figures come with cool shit
>>10634409Accessories are fine. Basic line figures are shorter, Ultimate figures are about right for scale
>>10634680I love those ultimate figures, just so damn nice and posable.
I bought a second regular BAT simply because I had a good idea for a picture I could set upHave I gone too far?
>>10634910I'm not super into troop building, but buying two BATs seems very reasonable, if not the bare minimum if you like the figure. You will surely have good uses for them in the future.
>>10634912I guess I should've mentioned I do also have one of each of the other BAT variants but that would throw off the symmetry of the picture
When's pit viper
>>10632390But painting is where the fun begins!
>>10634965they have to do at least one more Alley Viper recolor before they do a new type of viperWe just got two versions of the Televiper, it's gonna be a while
Tunnel Rat came in. I'm happy to have him to complete my core team of Joes but man, all the stuff that just hangs on his torso makes him really fucking fiddly and adding a heavy backpack onto it that doesn't want to stay plugged in just makes it all really annoying to pose the figure. I took this picture of him with all his gear but I'm definitely swapping some stuff around. Going to give him one of my extra Snake Eyes backpacks and give him a different gun so I can get rid of the ammo belt. Not sure what I'm going to do about his flashlights though. I wish the NVG's could flip up and down but they're just one single molded piece unfortunately
>>10634996Yeah, my biggest problem with the line at this point aside from random figures with terrible QC is that really all the belts and thigh holsters and chest gear should be pegged onto the figure somewhere, even if minorly, because nobody's web gear or belts harnesses or holsters stay in place well at all and it makes posing them a pain in the ass, unless it's a solid chunky vest over the whole torso like the cobra island troopers and firefly, but that also ends up being a huge limiter in posability
>>10634910Nah, I've got one of each and I'm not a troop builder. I've got some crummy pics I'd like to take myself. >>10634987Neat.
>>10634117
Waited all this time and Mindbender really disappointed. Also don't much dig Snowjob. He feels hollow and is unpleasant to articulate. Poor showing for the Joe team's first bulky-clothed figure.
>>10635134
>>10634996I mean, he's supposed to be a tunnel rat, so just ditch all that gear. All he needs is a revolver and a knife. All that extra crap is counterproductive to his role.
>>10634996I canceled hin at the last minute.
>>10635134yeah I got mine and kinda... solidified that I'm going to probably pull out of this line once they do the rest of the dreadnoks. 42 bucks for him felt like a complete ripoff.
>>10635134I like Mindbender a lot, personallyMine didn't have have the purple shoulders thing that everyone complained about when they first started getting them
>>10635264Mine doesn't have that either, but so.ething about him just isn't working for me.
>>10635273not a bad looking figure but I don't get what the silencer on his bow is supposed to do
>>10635274It's not a silencer, it's a stabilizer that helps balance the bow.
>>10635291oh that's neat, I've never seen that before
>>10635273Bit annoying how they go through the trouble to include a separate arrow and everything, but not an alternate drawn bow. They've done it before
>>10635298still better than the deluxe zartan and girl ninja that come with the lame ass stringless bow and just a sculpted full quiver with no loose arrow at all
>>10635293The stubby ones are more of a hunter thing. If you've watched Olympic archery then you've probably seen the long thin ones they have on their bows.>>10635298I agree. At least with recurves it's usually pretty easy to cut the stupid plastic string off and tie a real one to it that can actually mimic a draw. It's a bit more of a pain in the ass to do that with compound bows though.
>>10635312nta, but I always figured that was like a guiding rod for the Olympics
>>10634987I love that ketchup and mustard camo, it's horrible. Great addition to any squad
>>10635182I got rid of most of it and just switched the backpack for Snake Eyes' smaller one. He's already much better. Also gave him the entrenching tool from Outback. I ordered him some new webgear so I can ditch the holster and make him a little more modern feeling along with a smaller rifle
New Phantom figure from Lone Wolf Toyshttps://lonewolftoys.ecrater.com/p/43618869/phantom
My gamestop order of the Snow Serpent went from September 25th to TBA to October 5thI preordered it super early so I don't think my order got bumped, more likely the release date itself.
Anyone else like recombining their Joes?
>>10635725That's really cool. What's the head from?
>>10635732Thanks! It's from a Black Panther, from the recent Avengers Monster Fighters (or something) line.
>>10635794(Extra spider body from an old Darth Maul figure)
Where the fuck is range viper
>>10635725>>10635794Pretty cool stuff! Did you pop the torso?
>>10636050maybe it will be like the retro CG where it shipped to stores 6 months after it was supposed to
>>10635794This is really awesome and kinda unsettling anon. F yeah!
I'm satisfied but I'm also drawing a line here. I can't keep buying Valkyries just for this.
>>10635443I did the same and I'm giving his scoped m-60 to RockNRoll since in my shelfcanon Roadblock is the kill 'em all sprayer and RNR is more controlled burst suppression.
>>10636513...or can you?Brotip: Yes, you can.
>>10636573I there are a few head options left to consider but none of them speak to me the way these three did. I might wait until they do python patrol valkyries or something and some more cute Marvel Legends girls to relight the fire.
>>10636589Probably not at all what you would want but retro Scarlett witch and tigra are qt, omega sentinel is cute too but mostly robot. Maybe uo could find some cheap lightening collection alt heads? Idk just throwing out some of my ideas here
>>10636629Yeah, I've been looking at other lines, there are some wrestling chick figures that I have no familiarity with but look pretty good, I think the fortnite heads are too big, I'll have to eyeball it the next time I see some in a store.I bought a retro Lady Jaye the other day so my girls will have someone to terrorize in future pictures.I thought about Scarlet Witch but the big red M headband is too much of a character signature. Tigra is actually up near the top of potential 4th ones, as like a genetic crossbreed animal soldier made by Mindbender. I'd use her hands instead of the valkyries if I do that, and then maybe give her an Indiana Jones whip.
>>10636589What heads are these?
>>10636696In orderSilk from the Silk vs. Dr. Octopus 2 Pack, I used her her alternate unmasked headM (Monet St. Croix) from the Chod BAF wave>Valeria Richards from the Franklin & Valeria FF 2 Pack
>>10636525That's a good idea. I might just do the same if/when I pick up RNR. This is the webgear I grabbed for Tunnel Rat. I like that the JoePro is sculpted into it. Hoping the fit is decent since he's smaller than Duke.
>>10636717Tanned Silk? WTF
>>10636799she's not very tan, but she does a lot more Asian than the previous two figures of her they didhonestly still not super Asian though
I find it pretty funny that Tripwire and Tunnel Rat both have the same job and they give Tripwire this huge modern armored suit and Tunnel Rat still gets to go to work in a shirt and pants like in the 80s. Poor motherfucker.
>>10636821That's still better than how you could put a Roadblock and a Heavy Duty next to each other and I'd only be able to guess which is which
>>10636821Blatant heightism because Tunnel Rat is a manlet.
>>10635443Does his revolver have a barrel spot for effect pieces?
>>10636849And that isn't even taking into account there's a third big black machine gunner guy from the 90s toyline who is just a Roadblock figure with a new filecard and name.
>>10636860All classified guns do these days
>>10636870they're still using that rectangular sidearm pistol that the vipers all came with and it doesn't have a hole for anything, I think Falcon came with that one too
>>10636860>>10636870Not this one. The 1mm peg they use for the effects is nearly the same size as the whole barrel for TRat's revolver so they didn't put a hole in it.
>>10636899that sucksI gave one of my custom girls a marvel legends revolver and it's from years back so it doesn't have one either
In other weird weapon-related news, Snow Serpent comes with a combat knife but no sheath for it that i could find. He is rad otherwise though
>>10636938that is strange, maybe instead of a decision made by an actual human someone just checked a box on a spreadsheet internally to give him all the same weapons as the valkyries + his snow shit and RPG
>>10636821Eh. Tunnel rat us a hardcore jungle dude, that gear would get him killed. Tunnel is more like guerrilla warfare while trip wire is more conventional tactics, not many 6ft tall dudes go face first into fox holes or bunkers or pill boxes etc Was tunnel rat ever involved with stalker and snake eyes while they were in the shit?
>>10636948It is definitely weird. I looked all over to see if I missed something but while he has two holsters for his handguns, a clip for his rifle on his backpack and the RPG slings over his shoulder I couldn't find a spot for the knife. I don't mind tho, free bonus weapon to give to somebody else.
>>10636938>>10636956It was probably because the mold for the other weapons has the knife on it so it was just thrown in. They didn't bother to design a sheath for it because it wasn't necessarily intended to be there since they were first used for the Valkyries.
>>10636971Very likely.
Eel is back up on Amazon
Snow Serpent and Rock N Roll came in for me a few days ago. RnR is an okay figure but nothing more, his best part is the helmet. Great headsculpt tho. Snow Serpent s a really nice figure but some articulation is hindered by his bulky outfit. But IDK how they could have made it otherwise. Love that he has so many paint details like even the fur on his outfit is airbrushed a little, not just the big wolf coat and hat.
Got my Trubble Bubble this week. Initially ordered it for just the pod but the Tele-Viper is really growing on me. He looks like such a happy asshole ready to kill some Joes.Definitely hoping the Target I work at gets a lot of them so I can grab em on clearance. Street datebis Nov. 26th so don’t expect to see them before then.
>>10637356every python patrol figure I have I was able to find in the store amongst 3 or 4 (or like 8 with the Python Patrol CG) so unless the regular bubble being scalped to fuck causes heightened demand for the pp one, I think it'll be the same for that
>>10637361I've never had the luck of the exclusive vehicles making it to clearance at Target. Just a bad area for it I guess with so many collectors
Target put Scarp Iron, Shipwreck Wave on 50% clearance. Still full priced TF Dustys in my area and all the CG are gone, at full price!
>>10637379It sucks that Shipwreck's fucking face makes him not even worth half price for me.
>>10637379Oh damn. I hope mine has Scrap Iron marked down
They really need to do some more male troopers now.
>>10637380I'm going to get him but yeah, I'm not happy with him yelling or whatever. Guess he will just yell at the parrot while drunk on shore leave.
>>10637403bust here after checking. no markdowns
>>10637520>I'm not happy with him yelling or whatever
>>10637529I don't even know how to properly explain the problem with his face, it just looks bad
>>10636077No! The spider body is completely hollow. Unfortunately, the legs aren't articulated, but if the Black Series ever does a proper spider-Maul, I'll likely upgrade him. >>10636337Thanks!
I also swapped out his boots.
What other figures do you guys use to supplement your ranks if any. Was thinking of looking at some other 1:12 lines to fill out my ranks as mercs and wondering if anyone has any suggestions
>>10637529I just see the side of the box everyday, so that's the image burned into my eyes.
>>10637926Action Force
>>10637926I keep almost getting valaverse stuff but they don't have any cool looking villains imo
>>10638152What, "stereotypical racist south" depictions isn't good enough?
Retro Lady Jaye, kinda lame. I probably should've gone with the original one.
>>10637926I've pre-ordered 3 monster force figures, with mole rat coming I think they may all look decent together with mindbender.I've got more display ideas than space to display
>>10636802isn't she suppose to be korean or something. She shouldn't even be THAT tanned.
>>10638310you know koreans are the same color as all the others, right? don't be fooled by kpop makeup
So BBTS's Monster Force is offering a generic General Figure with a Not Joe Colton head and a Not Lawrence J. Flagg head and a Not Thaddeus Ross head if you're into Marvel.
>>10638303Yeah I actually prefer the original. The Retro line is so hit and miss.
>>10638322Wish he didn't have the name tag, but maybe
>>10638384hopefully they don't screw up retro scarlett, I want to get one of her and the past ones were a little too bland looking for my tastes
>>10638390It includes a blank
Oh boy, pp crimson shipped! Now it can join snow job and lady slither at a mo warehouse and rot together! Frigging pissing me off waiting for fed wx.
>>10638393They will HAVE to make new sculpting for her. With retro Destro and Jaye they could get away with just repainting the first one but if they don't make a Scarlett with double elbows it's meaningless. I really hope this one won't suck.
>>10638450I hope so, but they were also content to have Retro Baroness be the same just with less body highlights and a slightly different paint job on the face.
>>10638450>They will HAVE to make new sculpting for herWhich they already did with Glenda
>>10638322I've been holding off getting any of these guys till they get in people's hands and we see some actual final product reviews, but that's just too perfect. Time for me to go in on them.
>>10638322That looks amazing, but >Estimated to arrive 2nd Quarter 2025Two year preorder window? I thought hasbro was bad, but that's nuts.
>>10638482What the hell is a Glenda
>>10638526Eh, Fresh Monkey is a tiny company. Not even trying to meme. I'd be impressed if they actually can deliver them by that time.
>>10638322Man, this dude is worth it for the extra heads and glasses alone.
I mean, I was gonna have the normal one be white and the python patrol one be black but this is just ridiculous
>>10638662same deal with the valkyrie heads. I only know that because I'm trying to get another white head.
>>10638675I bought fucking 3 boxes of those bitches and the white girl's eyeline was unacceptably wonky to on all of them
>>10638662Hate to say it but I am thinking of doing the same. I don't know what I'm going to do with that head. I was hoping I could toss it onto a Cobra Trooper body but the ball on that peg is a lot larger than the socket in the TeleViper heads are. I feel like they should have done one production run with the white head, then another later with the black one or vice versa when we also are getting the fully masked head included too.
>>10638683they already do troop builder exclusives with standard figures that are hard to find which is annoying enough, but making the bubble pulse exclusive and also a built-in troop builder with multiple heads is a completely new leveland that's without even factoring in the demand level for one of the most iconic cobra vehicles, which they weren't able to meet
>>10638686There will be more Tele-Viper releases.
>>10638686I'm hoping that they success of the Trubble Bubble will help make sure other vehicles make it out to at least the Fan Channel retailers when the VAMP becomes available. I definitely want another Bubble but the timing of this release was just so bad with all the other shit coming out at the same time so I could only afford one. It's going to suck ass if they don't make more available down the road.
>>10638710At this scale they could get away with just doing vehicles without figures, but I can't think of any I had back in the day in smaller scale that didn't come with at least one pack-in guy so they might consider that antithetical to the line or whatever.
>>10638718I mean they have already put pack-in figures with vehicles that didn't originally have any. The US release of the RAM didn't come with a figure (the European release came with Quarrel) and the Trubble Bubble didn't come with one either.
>>10638718They really should have just released it by itself. I don't feel like the TeleViper needed to be included with the pod at all other than the fact that he was the one on the box for the first release and came packed with it during the 25th era, but it's not like he's the dedicated pilot for it like the HISS Tank Driver or Wild Weasel. And most people buying them are bound to have plenty of other figures to throw into it.
>>10638739don't remind of my visions of the dark future where Wild Weasel is exclusive to a potential Haslab Rattler
Does anyone know the price of the Strike Team set?
>>1063903779.99 on pulse
>>10638845Maybe we could get a weasel for the crimson bubble? I mean, we got copperhead ad a figure, I'm hoping hasbro understands the figures appeal in a similar way.
>>10639046maybe, but also if I was as big a fan of Wild Bill as I am of Weasel I wouldn't be holding my breath for a solo release any time soon
>>10638845>The monkey's paw curls>Haslab 3 3/4 Rattler but it suffers from the same landing gear issues as the '84 version.
Grunt showing up in stores already apparently. It'd be real nice to find him next to the figures they've supposedly been marking down to half-price and pull the ole double-scan trick
>>10639079oh apparently he was also being clearanced at that target
Any word/chance of a Valkyrie restock? I really didn’t expect them to be going for double the price in the after market.
>>10639180Hasbro only has part of their shipments so far
I've seen a lot of people using various Cap heads for a Fred custom, but I'm thinking Hank Pym because he has a more austere, villainous look to him and better hair
>>10639051They've got this stupid no reprint unless it's a repaint deal, but yeah, wild bill would be nice with out buying dragon fly. Plenty of really awesome pilots out there that'd look good alone. Cross country could stand out, but they'd never do him. Overlord I could see really standing out as a vehicle pilot that is cool on its own, zanzibar too. Hell, zqrtan ain't got a swamp skiff, yet I guess. That's for the dreadnok box set at sdcc 2028
>>10639205One thing about Wild Bill though is that they can always remake him from scratch in his Battle Corps Union Cavalry uniform. Which would sell pretty well since fans have been clamoring for core cast in their Battle Corps unifroms for AGES.
>>10638561
>>10639187Speaking of Fred, Battle Armor CoCo when?
>>106396182026, after they do a repaint of the Hiss Tank CC as a retro figure some time in early 2025
>>10639618>CoCo
>>10639613is she still locked?
>>10639668No, the shopper hit all the goals.
>>10639687nice, based joechads putting the gay marvel and star wars people to shame
>>10639691As a kid, I never got any of the vehicles that weren't like some small thing. So I jumped at the chance to get a firefly, I also wanted the hell charger but it was a mess, so I got the ramen racer.
>>10639613what a qt
>>10639691Man, if you've been a classified fan since day one then you deserve something special. Can't tell you the hours I've spent looking at targets back then.
>>10639706First year was kind of miserable. You'd be lucky to see a single Cobra Commander or Cobra Island Roadblock, and that's the only thing you'd see for months on end.
>>10639711I walked in and found 6 CI Troopers before they were known to be hitting the pegs. Never saw them again after that
>>10639743I saw ONE one time, saw CI Baroness and Coil once, and the CI Roadblocks, and literally never saw another CI figure after that.
The regular Trubble Bubble is back in stock on Pulse
>>10639833fucking shit, I caved and bought one 70 dollars last night
I guess there's a somewhat inaccurate use of the classification 1:12 scale within the dollhouse furniture market.Really good quality for 20 dollars though, other than the size being a little off.
>Just randomly had the new FireFly drop in my PoL at BBTS.Wasn't expecting that...didn't even get an "order processing soon" email.
>>10639902Yeah I had to double check, I had two in separate orders. Damn, this I s adding UP
The Badger's a really criminally underrated vehicle. I just re-stickered this one.
It seems like Amazon refreshed their pre-order stock, the Snow Serpent and Eel are both back up for sale
Snow job got delivered, can't really play with him but I guess I'll check his face in case I need a replacement
Got my Hiya Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow today. Never bought any Hiya stuff before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I think they look fantastic and pose pretty decently though. The tattoo on Storm Shadow looks incredible, especially at this scale. I'm glad to have a figure of the original Classified design. Only thing that sucks is I got two right gripping hands instead of a left and a right, which means I can't really use the bow since they give a specific arrow gripping right hand for the 3 removable arrows.Scale wise they don't really look too far off from Hasbro modern era figures. They are slightly taller but posed around it's not really noticeable and the accessories are nicely compatible. I really don't like the proportions Hiya went with for Snake Eyes' sword so I'm giving him one of my many spares. I'm interested in getting the rest of this line now for sure. Just wish they were available in the states.
>>10640414Also the hole in the suppressor on the Uzi fits the Classified blast effects which is pretty neat
>>10640200A lot of those early 90s vehicles were really fun, though none of em seem to ever be as iconic as the late 80s stuff. Personally, one of my favorite underrated Joe vehicles was the Mudbuster. A chunky armored pickup 4x4 with a huge harpoon launcher, working rear suspension and rubberband loaded ramming bumper. I never had the Vamp, so this was always my main light transport for the Joes (this and the Dino Hunter variant of the Desert Fox). They went full on with the gimmicks at that point, but unlike the Joes themselves and many other action figure lines, the gimmicks on some of these vehicles were awesome. They had those two jets with hidden water cannons, a Cobra bulldozer with drop and fire missiles or that transforming Joe tank with the quick shot line of missiles. Gliders with pilots, a sub that could actually kind of rise and submerge on it's own, and then there was the Battle Wagon with it's ridiculously oversized rapid fire gatling missile launcher. A lot of these things had play features that were actually features and not toy ruining gimmicks. Joe and Cobra vehicles were always at their best when they just went crazy with the designs.
Amazon says I'm getting Classified Grunt in on Tuesday. What am I in for? This is my first Classifieds figure, I'm not really into GI Joe but Grunt looks like a pretty good generic soldier.
>>10640588Outside of like two specific figures, Classified has been a consistently fantastic line for me. Some of the best articulation in a retail western line, usually tons of gear which can all be stowed and carried (with very few exceptions) and just great paint and sculpt work. Grunt will be just that, a generic Grunt with his generic guns and even an extra generic faceless army man helmet. But if he's anything like all the other Classified figures, he'll be the best damn generic soldier you've ever bought. ....though you may have to white over his name tag if you buy multiples. It's a cool detail, but a terrible decision to put a name tag on a potential troop builder.
The Crimson Viper I ordered from Amazon is apparently arriving on the 28thFirefly is still listed for November 2nd, hopefully that gets bumped up too
>>10640680Bbts has/had (haven't checked today) firefly in-stock. The crimson viper makes me curious if we could get crimson troopers. I think an imperial procession in classified would be cool. I loved this set.
Hmmm
So what's the most realistic outcome of the stream? Real figures of the renders we've seen and renders of the pipeline ones and then an official announcement of the filipino operator guy that leaked and then basically nothing else?
>>10640809Most likely. I assume we'll be getting preorders open for the new guy and Shadow Tracker since people already have them in hand
>>10640824oh right I forgot about the shadow tracker pics
>>10639086It happens. One of my Targets still has Falcon wave and they're on clearance while Shippy's wave is full price. Got a cheap Scrap Iron for the effects parts and a second Missile pet
I hate when I miss out on shit like this
The python patrol crimson guard box art is some neat stuff. Reminds me of bill Bill Sienkiewicz from marvel comics
>>10640936there's definitely a market for hasbro just blowing the art up to poster size and selling it but that would make things too convenient
>>10640963They did for some of them. Look up Trends International.
>>10640929Target should do these toy purges more often. It's bad for my wallet but damn I love to glut.
>>10640929It was never stocked online to begin with just random in stores that got them. Going to check that one target far from me that seems to be a collector deadspot area. It's always stocked.
>>10640795>Valvaverse on deathsbed. This looks so much better than the soccer mom SUV.
>>10639079Dang, Amazon just shipped mine.
4.5 hours until we get 30 minutes at pulsecon
>>10641365Hope no one's getting their hopes up for anything new or interesting during this whole thing today. I don't know why they're even bothering with it when there's so little time spent on each brand.
>>10641395it's weird that they dropped the unannounced python patrol televiper and bubble a week ago or whatever and didn't hold until it today when they're announcing "new" things and doing pre-ordersnow we're looking at possibly zero proper reveals when they could've at least had one
My predictions:>10 minutes talking about the crimson pack and the new PP releases>15 minutes talking about the new Indian character with optional Indian "celebrity" there to hype it up>5 minutes showing renders of things already announced.>No updates on the Hiss tank release date
so does hasbro the scan your face shit to make a figure disallow you to use like a celebrity or art or whatever? it would be the perfect too for creating waifus if it doesn't
>>10641395>NOOOOOOOOO>I MUST CONSOOOOOMMMMM!!!Fucking Hell, do you sois really need new toys every week or something?
>>10641434I'm pretty sure its not actually creating custom faces for everyone. They just have some generic face sculpts and they pick whichever one is closest to your face scan. So you shouldn't be able to create an actual celebrity likeness using it.
>>10641441Yes.
>>10641441No I only come to a toy thread on a toy board to look at pictures of old toys. It would be weird to want more than that.
>>10641434We've been over this a dozen times, the app scans your face for the submission, you can't submit some random photo of someone else.
>>10641441More of why watch this clown shop then
>>10641395Do you not remember they're dropping the next round of pre-orders today? 5 retail figures alone
>>10640583I had the Mudbuster when I was a kid. I'm gonna try and get one off of eBay and give it a repaint and some other cosmetic upgrades. I have a feeling it would be good fodder for a rock crawler conversion but I've never tried one of those before.
>>10641395I'm just hoping ripper and buzzer go up for pre order and I can secure a pre order for them. Not too concerned with anything else. >>10641429> no hiss tank updates, Yeah and this.
>>10642073>I'm just hoping ripper and buzzer go up for pre order and I can secure a pre order for them.Same.I might get Helix if they don't fuck up her face, but I'm not holding my breath.
>>10641395>>10641429>>10641441I'd like to at least see a few things, but Joe June was fucking brutal with like, 5 new figure going up for PO every week, and a throw of the dice as to when they would actually all show up in stock. Shit is still going to be filtering in from that for the next few months, so some lull on new releases would be nice.
>>10642079Helix is going to go in the old save for later cart at amazon and won't get bought till she goes on sale.
>>10642117Joe June, including the Haslab, is going to end up killing this brand before anything else. Too much all at once followed by long stretches of nothing. That kills the wallet and interest in the off season.
god dammit, the pig bitch will be on for the Joe panel
>>10642153It would be one thing if the release dates were accurate. Stuff showing up early is nice, but not when all the shit we were expecting across the next six months almost all drops within like, 2 months.
>>10642169That's more of a Hasbro problem in general but Emily did say that has all been caused by playing catch up from covid delays and after this fall they should be back on track with dates. So hopefully that either means shorter preorder windows or more accurate release dates
>>10642235I'd believe it if all the other lines were as bad off as the Joes, but it seems to only effect them.
>>10642235honestly the past few years have been better than the pre-corona era of them only have like 15 figures total and 1/3 of them are for the storm shadow movie and 1/3 are exclusives that no one could ever find
>>10642235>>10642319Yeah, not only is that bullshit and everyone else has already caught back up, but they've already gone back to windowed packaging in other lines, >>10642401 but we're still stuck with mystery box shit here.
Classified Panel starting soon.

>>10642578Looks cool but shitty accessories
>>10642588But you can't put ankle articulation on a barefoot figure it'll looooooook baaaaaaaad
>>10642587aren't they the same ones the original came with?
Thank god for this one
Techno Viperrrrr
>>10642601Laughing even harder at the people who wanted Imitation Technoviper.
Deluxe releaseAnd not name-only like they said

>>10642611HE STILL LOOKS LIKE JULIAN, YES!
These guys look great, especially Techno-Viper, Metal Head and Mutt & Junkyard.
>Junkyward gets alternate faces>Mutt doesn't>but he gets the muzzleMaybe man is the real animal
>>10642596I have no idea
Alt ponytail
>>10642623OK, ok, more animals pals!
>>10642623Based
What this stream calls "1080" is total bullshit
>>10642632>>10642651>mfwI hope the heads with the originals are swappable, I kinda prefer them
At what point is the difference between the Retro figures and Classified when most of the Classified designs are just the same as the original figures
60th Anniversary homages to the original eraThese are deluxe figures also
>Realistic soldiers
>>10642662>realistic soldiersEh. My wallet thanks them.
>>10642644>>10642651>>10642662S7 and valaverse final coffin nails.
>>10642662Valaverse's assholes blown out.
>>10642651I assumed he wouldn't be a big enough improvement over the first release to be worth getting. Boy was I wrong. I hate rebuying figures, but gotta do it here.
>>10642662They just keep sticking it to Valaverse
frogman type guy, also 60th
>>10642662Looks fucking cool. I'll get a few to use as army builders
>>10642651No way, og duke and Scarlett? I can re enact my boy hood soap operas again! >>10642662Might double down on this.
>>10642662>>10642682These are greatWhat sucks is there probably won't be any kind of Cobra equivalent
>Classified prides itself on not being "entertainment accurate' and doing "its own thing/modernizing">has been backtracking on that for like a yearFuck you, Emily.>>10642682Don't hate this. But I l9ve that Bond movie with the frogmen.
RIPPER (removable shades)
HAWK
HELIX
>>10642682Basically Shipwreck v.2 & 4. Not awful.
SHOCKWAVE
BUZZER (removable goggles)
Hot damn all these reveals are just fantastic. I haven't actually bought any Retro card figures yet, but I may need to grab Scarlet and Duke. I'm not a fan of Mutt not having a relaxed face, but it's not a deal breaker for me. And I also don't like how the Techno Viper's weapons aren't being shown as removable. Even in his missile launcher set, the tools seem to be fused to the backpack. If they made it so those tools can't come out of the back, in a line that is all about the accessories, I'll probably just skip the figure entirely. >>10642662>>10642674>>10642675>>10642678I'm not one to brand wars, but I gotta agree that these generic soldiers look a lot better then the ones Vala put out. If the Frogs go on sale I might grab a pair to keep Torpedo company seeing as they have most of his gear and then some. I definitely need one of the generic Army men though, just for his weapons alone.
>>10642651Something about his face seems a little cartoony here. I think I might prefer the older Duke head better. Other than that, pretty excited on this release.
all the in-hand figures are going up for order today
>>10642726With the exception of this one, maybe, but I can't remember what they said about it just now
That Baroness face looks like it's traced from porn
>>10642725Wave 1 Duke is still my favorite head sculpt in the whole line. Don't know what the hell happened to the TF version though
>>10642708Wait, they can do that?
>>10642725He looks kinda like fuckin' Buzz Lightyear from that newer movie.
the hasbro photographer says GI Joe is his favorite brand to shoot for
HISS tanks will supposedly be shipping before the end of the year
>>10642744That's exactly what I thought! It looks like Buzz Lightyear!>>10642740I always liked this sculpt, I'm hoping it swaps well on the Retro.
>>10642745I thought that was funny. Probably because his personal photography is mostly Star Wars based
>>10642688Well they're updated current service branch uniforms like the original '64s. Army, Navy, etc
>>10642578With this reveal, I predict the next Ninja Force figures will be Slice and Banzai. We're getting closer to a Street Fighter mold reuse cross over.
>>10642745>>10642766It's probably because Star Wars figures continually lose points of articulation while Joes innovate
They did also mention at least one more of these 60th anniversary guys so I'd bet on a paratrooper
>>10642778Well he also has more creative freedom with it since Disney would have to approve of the pictures for both Marvel and Star Wars
>>10642766>>10642778You can't make images like this for Star Wars
>>10642804Also Transformers would have all kinds of shit going on.
>>106427834 figures are coming, just two revealed today
>>10642568One thing getting glossed over here is Ferret. Only one I know by that name is the driver for that weird big iron grenadiers vehicle. Is there another one, or is that the next sub group they're about to make?
>>10642820https://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/85/ferret/
>>10642820It's this thing, which seems like an easy 40/50 dollar box with a figure
>>10642824Did they say it was the vehicle? I thought those were just character reveals.
>>10642831they were very disorganized, they just said name-only, I can't remember how the trubble bubble was announced but I assume they mean the ATV since there's no other non-haslab vehicles out in the pre-release ether otherwisebut also metalhead was the first name-only they mentioned but they also had a render
>>10642825Why name your evil vehicle after a cute animal that some people keep as pets?
>>10642817I'd kill for a more classic pajamas-style Cobra trooper with option tactical webgear and a bunch of real guns in the same style as the cobra island guy who had some minor deco options and a bunch of sci fi nonsense weaponry
>>10642834I would think they would have revealed the driver first instead of the vehicle, like the tele-viper and the pod, but who knows. they were a mess. hopefully someone can ask them on instagram later since they said they were doing a q&a there
>>10642845It could just be a re-colored viper or something so there'd be no point in selling it on the figure
Shouldn't the Pulse con stuff be up now?
>>10642862I think it's up right now for premium people and will but up for everyone/other retailers in an hour
is the three pack the only thing going up?
>>10642820>>10642824>>10642825Yea, that caught me off guard too. But if they were gonna do the Iron Grenadiers, there's no way they'd start with a dorky nobody like Ferret, and that ATV always gets re-released in a Joe line at some point. >>10642839Because ferrets are evil little stinky thieves. My brother had one and when I was a kid the little bastard bit my finger and stole my donut. So I think it's absolutely fitting the bad guys would name their vehicles after one of them vile little creatures......but they are still super adorable. >>10642865>>10642862They're coming out in batches and waves, happens after every pulse con. Joe stuff probably won't be up for another few minutes at the latest. Hell, I remember last year it took almost a half hour for the figures to go up for sale.
Those 60th guys going to be exclusives or what?
>>10642912maybe, target is basically out of python patrol guys now unless they start doing the lame red paintjob ones from the 00s or start doing new shitpersonally I hope they at least to a python valkyrie
>>10642912Won't know until next year. They're Deluxe figures so they have a chance to be Specialty retails (Amazon, EE, BBTS, GS) but we won't know until later. A smart person would put the 60th Anniversary figures at regular retail. The Navy Diver will make a great Fumbles
>>10643004They'd also appeal to general /k/-type military toy collectors the way the premium doll-style ones from like 10 years ago did
Got my Dreadnoks, the new wave is up on Amazon and probably everywhere else too.
>>10643072Don't see it
>>10643072Same, but added Shockwave, not excited but I love him, and hawk. Got them from bbts since pulse is selling out. Really glad to add some friends for zaranna and zartan.
>>10643089go up and put it to "newest arrivals"
Ripper looks so fucking cool holy shit
>>10643126He Arab or poo?
>>10642662Ok so how and where can I get this?
>>10643132Tasmanian so he's probably like Jango Fett's actor
>>10643133We don't know yet
>>10643072>>10643095>>10643126No TORCH reveal today. Are we gonna get fucked with an exclusive for Torch?
>>10643163no Jinx either
>>10643163>>10643170Is there another toy/nerd even this year where they might drop those?
>>10643195NYCC I think?
>>10643195Toy Fair is in about a week and then NYCC is after it in mid October.
>>10643197>>10643201Either one or both could be where we see Torch and/or Jinx and one or more of the 60th figures and maybe something else new like how the standard Technoviper wasn't on any of the lists before today.
>what a useless college degree does to an mf
More pre-orders are coming in Oct. Emily made a comment on how much people complained about overloading Joe fans with pre-orders on top of each other.
>>10643245Went from starving to drowning, couldn't imagine trying to collect the entire series. I'm so damn happy retro Scarlett and duke are coming, Scarlett is fine but I do prefer her og look and the only duke I like was stuck with a vehicle I don't much need.
>>10643245>>10643292I'm really glad that they addressed some of the problems collectors have been having, like Retro Cards being Wal-Mart exclusive and the cardboard being too thin, as well as not dumping all the preorders on us all at once. I have a certain amount of money each month that I can spend on GI Joe and I don't mind picking a few up every month, but if there's like 8 releasing at the same time after a long drought it's extremely overwhelming.
>>10643214I think we're going to see the VAMP model at one of them too
>>10643312>I can spend on GI Joe and I don't mind picking a few up every month, but if there's like 8 releasing at the same time after a long drought it's extremely overwhelming.Same, and it's a double burn when the shit sells out in a day and doesn't restock for weeks/months if ever and you end up having to pay more for it on the aftermarket
The Range-viper still isn't out, right? Has anyone found it stateside at all?
>>10643319Yeah, that was the worst, having to make such narrow choices about which Joes to buy out of a big wave, and then not knowing if the ones I didn't preorder are going to disappear when I try to buy them later.
>>10643329That happened to me with the Eel since I don't remember it being stated anywhere that it was an amazon exclusive beforehand so I didn't jump on it right away thinking it would be fine but it was gone so fast
>>10643332Yeah, the same thing happened to me and it sucked hard. Thankfully there's retro carded Eels on the way so all's not lost.
>>10643197>>10643201>>10643214I don't think Hasbro does anything for NYCC. I know the past few years they've been absent. Toy Faire is the most likely place they'll reveal stuff, but with the whole "Online Convention" Pulsecon crap they've been pulling out of physical cons the past few years. >>10643322I haven't seen anyone with in-hands of him yet. >>10643332>>10643335I'm kinda disappointed in the Eel. He's just Torpedo with one less gun and a different hat. Even the original had the much cooler harpoon gun, while the Classified just gets the same one as Torpedo.
>>10643397They were there last year in a limited capacity to promote the Hell Charger. It is weird they don't have a bigger presence though considering New York is a pretty short trip from Rhode Island.
Amazon just shipped Lowlight
>>10643652NEW THREAD>>10643652NEW THREAD
>>10642601Oh wow was just checking out these guys at 3djoes earlier today
