>>10609942No kidding. I guess I didn't need to rush to make the thread after all.>>10608763>Hasbro just has no clue how to give a ball joint proper range, seems to be an issue with every lineThat's the odd thing here. They don't even have the range of the other females in this line which is what I was expecting. It's hard to get any kind of decent contrapposto out of them compared to Baroness.
>>10610020Could try and pop them apart at the diaphragm and clear some space around the socket, seen a lot of people doing that with Legends lately.
>>10610020damn, the valks are beefy.
>>10610049It honestly will probably be worth doing to them.
>>10610020I've never even taken her glasses out of the box, to scared I'll loose them. Messing with artic bat, I love the heads, may use gear from other bats since I'm kinda feeling like this bat is like a body bomb. Don't quite understand why they gave it a sniper rifle, doesn't feel like something a bat would do. Oh yeah happy labor day.
>>10610156The bike baroness doesn't have removable glasses, they come glued onThe retro baroness has removable glasses
>>10609942Good time to play with Joes
I forget the name/ version of the COBRA trooper that comes with a T.V. camera. I've been trying to find it at on ebay.ca, or barring that is there a recaster that makes cameras and video cameras? I've seen Shooters camera for 5 bucks - but postage to Canada for these have been around $20Can. - making them not worth it.
>>10610498You mean the 25th COBRA TROOPER from one of the Cartoon DVD box sets?
>>10610618 Thanks I looked at yojoe but just went through the standard troopers. ya, I would love to find the camera separately or is someone was making them. Having a name makes it a bit easier to search.
>>10610679If you know the year I find 3djoes to be a good place of refrence.
found this, anyone know if this is supposed to be a G.I. Joe bootleg or something?
>>10611468Looks like Stardust the Space Wizard lol
>>10611468Idk man. Fletcher hanks was frigging awesome. Get the book off Amazon and just let the purity wash over you. Also classified figure when?
>>10611468Oops, meant for>>10611604There should be a stamp on the butt or back or inner thigh, a date and country of origin and manufacturer should be noted.
Anyone planning on getting some of the Monster Force stuff to use with Classified? Pic related could obviously be used for a Red Shadow forces but I think even the more monster type guys might be fun for Halloween themed displays
>>10611895If my budget wasn't already shot I'd probably grab a squad of the baddies and maybe some of the more interesting monster figures. They look fun and I always enjoy the idea of a Monsterverse full of these classic monsters, doubly so if they have that tacticool steampunk element to em. But it's hard to buy supplemental items for the Classified line when the Classified line itself does not stop with their releases. I thought this would be some short lived mini-series and now I'm sitting at like 50ish of these guys, and I'm not even going hard with the army builders.
>>10611895>Red ShadowDefinitely a tinge of interest with them but I wanna wait and see how they turn out first. Price is kinda high and the a lot of them look locked up in the mid section with bulky vests or long coats. >>10611929>hard to buy supplemental items for the Classified line when the Classified line itself does not stop with their releasesMy problem as well. Crazy how things were so slow the first few years and now the line's exploded with releases this year
>>10611929Yea I know what you mean. I'm kind of lucky they have hit the majority of my core characters so I can hold out and focus more on the vehicles from now on but then they go and do stuff like the Valkyries or that HISS fire team. I haven't even been able to try out some of the Valaverse figures yet but I'd like to get their Steel Brigade and some of these Monster Force figures as well. Dr. Caligari looks really nice despite being a pretty barebones figure compared to the others.
>>10611951>>10611895There's one comming out that looked like a cobra trooper as a zombie that I'll likely grab a few of to go with Molerat, but they don't quite vibe with the normal classified enough to justify the price.Which I can't say with a straight face since i'm going to spend like $100 on figures to build my own custom Roddy Piper Iron Grenadier figure.
I really dig this aesthetic because it reminds me of the way Hydra looked in that Captain America Super Soldier game. Makes me want to get a few to go with that upcoming Mafex Cap.
>>10611929In general the line interests me. I plan on getting Drac, Mummy, invisible man, Frankenstein, and Brain in a Jar. but the army builders are going to be the big buy for me.I want the blue vampire troops, they match the cobra coloring better, and they can alt as good vampire soldiers. >>10612231>Roddy Piper Iron Grenadier figure.Fuck, they need to do more Joes like Roddy, Rocky, the Fridge in the classified, Bruce Willis and Channing Tatum are top of my list.
Little Armory's UGV next to a Joe.It's a fun design. It features a regular machine gun braced to the robotic frame (it's not meant ot be removed, but it's cool to see the gadgetry up close). The articulations are hard plastic unlike other model kits, but it's not like you're goint to be moving them all the time, so they work fine. Full armament is the machine gun and four grenade launchers. The control equipment includes an XBox controller that may be useful for unrelated scenes. It's not expensive by Little Armory standards.>>10611895They are cool, but the price point compared to Classified (and versus its easier international availability) means I'd just buy one or two outstanding designs. I haven't jumped the gun on any of them yet.
>>10612285They ended up making Rocky?
>>10611895 You need this guy's head on this guy's body >>10611951 to make a near perfect red shadow trooper. I just can't justify paying near $80 for an obscure army builder from an unproven line. If they ever go on sale I'll pick some up, but I doubt they will.
>>10612978It never went past the prototype, they couldn't secure the license.
Picked up my Vals, Vypra and Big Ben the other day. I'm enjoying them all, but Big Ben is easily my favorite. Just a really solid military figure in general with the only downside of the usual soft weapons. For an opportunistic parts reuse, Vypra is surprisingly striking. She could use some more paint or detailing on her all-black pants but other than that she's fun.
They REALLY don't want you swapping heads in Classified, it's unreal. I had a slight hope some ML heads might work, I thought about doubling down the valkyries, but the pegs on the necks are just too small. In fact, they're also too small for the Classified line, because Baroness, movie Baroness, and Zarana's head cavities are all also too big for the tiny ass pegs on these two figures. Is there any solution to this? I think I've heard of people using clay or something inside the head hole to make it fit around a smaller peg, but I've never tried anything like that before.
>>10613310Fill the socket in the head with hot glue and rub a layer of vaseline over the neck peg. The vaseline won't stick to the hot glue so you can still move it around and pop it off when you want to.
>>10613310JESUS CHRIST SHE KILLED ALL THOSE GIRLSJokes aside that's also a problem with ML. I have so many spare heads but whenever a new figure comes out they never fit for some reason or other. I wanted to create a bunch of generic SHIELD agents when that female mold came out but like one out of ten older female heads fit.
>>10613332Thanks, I'll have to try that>>10613341Yeah, it's a pain too because female MLs usually hit clearance rates pretty quick in the aftermarket and even sometimes in stores, and they've gotten so much better with female faces than they were even just a few years ago
>>10613310Damn. I was hoping to be able to swap heads on them too...
Speaking of the Valkyries...>Was planning on buying a couple more sets, since during the PO window they never sold out.>Now that they actually released, they're sold out.>Already going for almost double on eBay.Fuck.Also looks like the Tele-Vipers and Trouble bubbles sold out to now that they're going to be shipping at any moment. Glad I grabbed two of those, at least...
>>10613376Tons of people are already offloading their tan webgear ones, I imagine those will drop down to around 30 bucks or so in a month or two at least
>>10611628I'm afraid the only thing it says on the back is "made in china"
>>10613341Yeah, I was hoping to make at least one generic greenshirt out of the extra breaker I got back when he went on clearance, but not one of the dozens of extra ML heads I have fit his peg. I'm too scared and too dumb to try and mod them the way some people do.
>>10613382Hoping someone comes up with a good replacement. Might be the first marauder's set I buy if they pull it off.
>>10613382They're also primarily selling the black girl head with it lmaoIn my set the white girl head had wonky eyes so she's the one who got replaced with the gas mask
>>10613383Idk, doesn't look like a cheap bootleg. >>10613384I've got a few ml heads I'd enjoy using but I'm not gonna risk screwing up a classified figure, even if it a low risk experiment.
>>10613582I'm gonna try something more benign like putting mini rubber bands around the ball joint to see if that works before I work with any chemicalsWorst comes to worst the main head I want to use for my vague mujahideen inspired Cobra girl here: >>10613310 has super long hair that more or less keeps it steadyI'm gonna get that ugly ass desert snake eyes for his weapons and maybe some kind of cloth cloak for her tooAnd probably a spare black webgear valkyrie to replace the tan one I'll be using
>>10613594>>10613341>>10613310I fixed mine with heatshrink tubing for wires. It's cheap and easily shrinks down if you hit it with a hairdrier on max, just layer two or three layers over the peg and it will grip the inside of the head socket.
>>10613384You need to swap head and neck among Joes to make it work
>>10613594>maybe some kind of cloth cloak for her tooRead it as "goth cloak" at first, got hyped.
>>10613625Yeah, except they don't really give us spare heads in the joe line. The steel brigade helmet that comes with grunt will hopefully fit it. Though I was trying to create a greenshirt not a steel brigade. I prefer the former as troop builders.
>>10611468Found it, guess I'm not worthless after all huh mom. https://boonsartshop.com/product/cosmic-saga-rocketer-v-space-patrol-virtual-warrior-near-complete-1990s-mc-toys-gi-joe-ko-world-peacekeepers/
>>10613612For this, do you mean literally just layer the tubing over the ball joint like longways or whatever and then heat it, or do you force the tube opening over the ball joint and then heat?
>>10613889Nice detective work, you crazy lad
>>10613594Silicon glue, maybe?
>>10613310You can also try to swap out the ball pegs as well. Sometimes the bottom peg fits the neck hole or you can just shave it down a bit if it’s too big. That’s what I did when swapping heads from ML with the Joe line.
>>10614058Insert the ball into the tube and clip it off and then hit it with the heat, it shrinks down smooth against the ball joint. Usually two layers, or maybe 3, will thicken the ball up enough to hold the head in place. The kind I have are 1/8", I also got a slightly larger 3/16" in case I had to put a thicker outer layer on it, but so far just two layers of 1/8" has done the trick.
Pulse just took my payment for the Trubble Bubble. Can't wait for it to ship.
>>10613889Incredibly based, thanks a bunch! I see it’s not worth much but it’s whatever, it’s a cool looking dude anyway so he’s worth keeping in my book
>>10614371Same, guess it's time to buy some stands for this and the Valkyries. >>10614811I racked my brain trying to think of what it could be and then I just tried lens. Happy to help bud.
>>10614371>>10614833Yeah, they took payment from me too. Glad they'll be coming soon. I've been looking forward to the Tele-Vipers a lot. I only got two, but I wish I had gotten another one or two now that they're sold out...
We have zombie vipers at home.
>>10614948>ugly shit>practically identical to Classified and Action Force
WTF is going on?! These never even hit my local targets or walmarts.
>>10614968I think I only saw them at Target once, and then once or twice at a comic shop marked up to $30. I got mine online, but if I came across them at $5 I'd probably buy a dozen of them.
>>10613310If the head cavity is larger than the ball joint, use a bit of loctite blu-tac. It holds pisitions well and tacky enough that the head doesn't fall off. I use it for loose hats and helmets. So far after a year I don't see any discoloration, but it's in a non visible spot anyway.
>>10614968Hasbro has regional distribution issues. Some places will get flood and people can't stock up on constant clearance sales. Other places get jack shit. I'm also in a dead zone and its always painful to see stuff like that.
Damn, I just got an email from BBTS that my Snow Serpents will be in soon. Shit really is coming in in a flurry right now.
>>10615042yeah, I ordered one from gamestop a while ago and it had them listed as releasing september 24th
>>10615023I'm kinda in a dead zone too, IF the store gets anything it's always one case. Never found anything on clearance except dusty.
Is there a site that lists all the toys by year? yojoe.com used to, but they haven't updated since 2017?
>>10615692yojoe got bought and original staff pushed out. hisstank covers classified but not as well as yojoe did things
>>10615692>>10615761Yea, I'm sad Yojoe seemed to just die out, it was (and still is to an extent) a great resource of all things Joe. I doubt any site will ever actually replace it as all those archive type sites seem to be falling into disrepair.
>>10615692I think 3djoes is a good reference, it definitely sorts by year. >>10615761Didn't the yo joe guys do a book? Anyways, I remember visiting them a looong time back. I found out about funskool there while trying to figure out what the hell windmill was.
>>10615878>Didn't the yo joe guys do a book?no because they were working with someone who was going to but it fell through. 3djoes basically aped their bit and then after the buyout they through their support behind the site to fuck over the new yojoe owners
>>10615761Yojoe forums were my home since 2001. The new owners clearly bought the site because it had huge traffic and therefor ad revenue with no intentions of spending money to improve the site. The archive staff worked for free, but something happened with the archive behind the scenes that they couldn't fix. I assume the owners didn't want to spend whatever money it would have cost to fix it so the archive has never been updated.
Pulse is preparing to ship Snow Job
>>10616571Yeah, I got that email this morning too. I haven't gotten one for the trouble bubble yet, and everyone else I know who ordered one got one already.
>>10615023This.In Asia, there are a shit ton of Supreme Snake Commanders and Chuckles out there.
>>10616580They took the payment for my Tele-Vipers a few days ago, but they only shipped out this morning. You should be getting yours soon, I'd imagine.
>>10616571Dammit man., hasbro your gonna cause trouble for me at home! And of course it's exclusive shit so I can't cancel and of course I love the snow figures so I really do want them. I just explained away the valks and trouble bubble. Fudge.
>>10616809this is exactly why ppl were bitching in jun/jul about all the preorders n exclusives. they dump it all out at once as the cargo ships get unloaded. the staggered schedule doesnt mean shit
>>10616877I wonder how long till they do Wraith and that evil surgeon guy
>>10616826I got used to the po stuff and frankly I don't mind but yeah, hitting all at once is painful even if you are only building your teams and not getting them all. >>10616877Not predator looks cool. May look good with Neca xenon.>>10616893I think the Dr is called scalpel? Had the 25th anniversary figure, looked cool and I think he had a gauntlet with knives and surgery stuff.
>>10617019Yeah, that's the guy. There were a lot of edgy cobra dudes in the 2000s like Shadow Tracker that I associate with each other.
I'm happy to confirm the heat-shrink wire coating worked on the ball joint, three layers and the ML head popped on like it was made for it. Now I just have to get more Valkyries to turn into waifus.
>>10616877God damn that looks awesome
>>10617210Damn, that's an awesome bishop custom lol. Nah it looks great.
Who is your big never-ever that you still secretly hope will be announced at Pulsecon?
>>10617469Holy shit, Core Memory unlocked. I had to look it up, but yeah that's the Interrogator figure from the battlecopter with the pull cord.I had forgotten about him till you posted that.
>>10617469BAT v2BarricadeCrimson Guard Immortal (CG seems to not have sold well and apparently filling up Ollies)
>>10617469Astro-ViperLamprey would be nice to see,but I don't think we're going to see pilot-type figures without vehicles for them.
>>10617514The CG sold fine, it's just a rare example of Hasbro exceeding demandThat whole block of figures is selling lower than retail everywhere online, I don't know if they overreacted to how the first few waves of figures were hard to get or what, but it's the same thing with Stalker and Spirit and Tomax and Xamot, they're all selling for lower than retail most places online
>>10617469>Who is your big never-ever that you still secretly hope will be announced at Pulsecon?Headman and the Headhunters (the earliest trooper with the dome masks)Eco WarriorsThe Fridge and Roddy Piper
>>10617514>(CG seems to not have sold well and apparently filling up Ollies)Distribution issue, not demand. The demand is there, Hasbro fucked up. Like the best PoC waves (Data Viper, for example) ending up at Tuesday Morning because they couldn't get them into retail shops
>>10617521I think the Lamprey could work as some kind of amphibious assault trooper
>>10617210Ella Balinska joined COBRA?
>>10617210are Joe/ML headswaps pretty effortless?
>>10617545ML require greenstuff often to make up for bigger balljoints on ML bodies
>>10617545It was very easy to do, based on this guy's suggestion: >>10613612I bought a pic related, which is more than I'll ever need and it took three layers on the ball joint, heating each one before the next, and then the ball joint was twice as big and the ML head popped onGenerally ML neck ball joints are pretty uniform, Classified ones are all over the placeAnd if for some reason I ever want to revert it back to normal, I don't imagine it would be hard to take a razor or something and remove the layers of rubber
>>10617469Golobulus and Rocky
>>10617580I can't ever look at that Rocky figure prototype and not think of the pos that went by that name.
>>10617469Psyche out. I was kidding a few years back but I'm serious now. Just give us one figure that encapsulates the fun and silly imagination the designers had then. >>10617521Nice, ASTRO is cool.
>>10617469This was my absolute favorite joe as a kid, and was my own self insert figure whenever I played like that. Something about the color scheme really appealed to me. Pretty much zero chance he'll ever get made since people will ignorantly complain about whitewashing.
>>10617469RaptorBombstrikeBlack OutZanyaCrimson AspLink TalbotData-ViperVvV Jinx
>>10616877This is a must have for me. Though his older 3/4ths design was a little more cool to me. Regret getting rid of my smaller collection cause this nigger is going for 8 bucks used on ebay
I got a spare black webgear valkyrie to fill in the gap left by the tan one I headswapped, and then I ended up ordering a second Cobra Island trooper today to display without the goggles and armband and so I guess I've finally become a full on troop builder now
>>10617683There was a prototype?
>>10618422Oh wow, african throwing knife.
>>10616877Kind of annoyed that the artwork clearly shows the mask from the PoC version but the mask that comes with the figure is different. The smooth Predator style one is cooler than a skull mask when he already has a skull face beneath it to begin with
>>10618200The Astroviper was one of my favourites as a kit; I loved that he had a removable helmet with a cosmonaut-esque balaclava underneath. Him and Countdown always ended up in a battle to the death whenever I was playing. The big jetpack backpack with extra guns and blast-off effects parts would make for a great deluxe style $35 figure.
>>10618560I believe it was unfinished but there are physical parts yes.
>>10618756You hit my high points, that helmet and face. I got two separately as Xmas gifts one year, normally you'd be bummed as kid but nope, loved it, one masked and one helmeted.
>>10619265What does Big Boa have to do with Rocky?
>>10619605Big Boa was created to be a Cobra rival for Rocky, back when Hasbro thought that they'd done a deal for Rocky Balboa to be part of the GI Joe line. The deal supposedly fell through because Stallone had signed a deal with another toy company which gave them exclusive rights to produce toys bearing his likeness.
I guess no bubble till Monday, got the girls though. Pretty nice set, gonna try to tear into it later, but I will say that I hope hasbro keeps this packaging for classified. The footlocker is just whatever but it's nice, I just enjoy the portraits on the figure holder.
>Tele-Vipers and Trouble bubbles from Pulse and Snow Serpents from BBTS are both out for delivery today.Hype.
What vehicle would be cool to have done for the next Classified HasLab? I'd like to see the good old MOBAT or the Mauler done, they're not massive and they're just cool. MOBAT reminds me of a combination of the Sheridan and "Starship" tanks, and the Mauler's funny gun-shroud gives me vibes of that one canned experimental tank from the 80s.
>>10619930And just for good measure.
>>10619930The Cobra Crimson Command Copter, of course.I remember thinking this thing was way too fucking big as a kid, and that was for the 3.75 inch scale.
>>10619930>>10619933I'd be down for a good Joe Tank, as long as it seated a crew of at least three figures. One of the reasons I was never a fan of the original Mobat...despite ended up with at least three of em...is that it barely fit a single Joe. The Mauler was a much better tank imo because it had seating for a full crew, which made it much more fun to play with. Unlike real tanks, toy tanks usually have tons of space to work with. But so many toy companies just leave it all empty and boring. So it's nice when you actually get a tank with some decent usable internals and space for multiple figures.
>>10619930Hmm. You know, if I had a say I wouldn't even go vehicle for the next haslab. I think it's time for the Pitt or something, maybe have that jump jet as a tier and we could still get a smaller tank as a unlock too. Offer up classic arah duke Ala mickey mouse commander and dial tone or breaker. If we are just thinking vehicles though, a classified night raven or sky striker would be exciting.
>>10618422 I've never seen him that cheap. -but then US to Canada postage has been raised to rape levels.
>>10618422Okay. this is the first used one. If I give you $20 and $9 shipping will you sell yours to me?
>>10620161also willing to pay a bit more shipping. say up to $15?
>>10619265Just wouldn't by IDW if they weren't gender-fucking characters
>>10620047Yeah I think I want something more of a playset next for Joes. I find myself needing an environment to put them in that isn't just my backyard or my desk. Something like The Pit or even a Tactical Battle Platform would be cool.
>>10620165If they said it was a different person and the old one died and this was "Mama Boa" or whatever, that would at least be something
>>10620192I've tried using back drops on my shelves but nothing hits, I've been looking at some of the smaller stuff arah had I'd be happy with some of that stuff. Ah well, they are doing marvel now so it's gonna be next year before we get a possible new campaign. We could get lucky and hasbro could start a build a base type pack in but that's far fetched
>wee...I like it, aside from the lack of flight stand. And mine having a slightly misaligned printing for the screen readout.
>>10620418are there any pegs in the bottom for some of the flight stands hasbro has done in the past? sometimes they do that at least
damn, I got my valkyrie box from ebay on tuesday for 50 bucks and now they're selling for 100+
>>10620420Infuriatingly, no... Now I'm gonna go check Serpentor's air chariot. Not sure that has anything to attac it to a flightstand either.
>>10620427The chariot definitely doesn't, I have a plastic cube thing I set it on top ofIt has movable landing gear at least
>>10620207Fuck forbid they just make up a new character.Or just use any number of female character that already exist
>>10620418>>10620420>>10620427>>10620429Bruh, I was gonna get stands too. Why do that? Hasbro has stands, not for this, but it's not like they DIDNT know it would a big deal. Guess I'll go search around unless anon has a suggestion. Kinda bummed the bubble can't float.
>>10620606yeah, they do the same thing with MLs where half the time there's a Green/Hobgoblin there will at least be a peg for a stand if not also a stand and the other half there's not even a hole for it
>>10620606Just use the hasbro stand. Put a spot of bluetac on the top of the stand arm, attach the clip to the gun and boom.It does suck that they didn't make a proper stand clip, but there's work arounds.
>>10620723nta, but hasbro did flight stands for fortnite which use a universal ball joint on the end for multiple types of fortnite stuff to connect to
So I just opened up my Valkyries and I gotta admit, the tan webgear isn't as bad in person. The weapons are still awful and will be binned, but the figure itself looks pretty good. I decided to remove the leg holsters from both figures so now they each get a black pistol and I feel that helps the look immensely. Just out of curiosity I decided to check to see if there's any loose singles of these girls on ebay, cause I'd love to have a three person fireteam of them. To no surprise, the tan figure is the most common solo listing, but what is a surprise is the price most people are asking for. For what people expect to get back from just one figure could get me the whole set from a reliable store. Guess I'll have to wait a while in hopes of the prices dropping. I don't really mind if the tan geared one is the "troop" of the set, but I won't be paying what most people are asking for as these figures just aren't THAT great.
>>10621004The Valkyrie set is regularly selling for $80-$90 on the aftermarket, and the single figures seem to be selling upwards of $50, though its mostly just people swapping the black chick's head over to the tan webgear body in an attempt to get rid of all the undesirable parts...
>>10621174>people don't want black people to be villainsExtremely un-based.
>>10619890Got these boys in last night.
>>10620617That retro hob irritated me, can't make his feet look 'right' when he rides the glider. >>10620686I'll remember this, I always have that tac around as is>>10621004The tan looks fine to me, since I've only got the one set I'm thinking of using them as my bat wranglers. 2 squads of three, each with one valkyrie and 2 bats. >>10621246Really looking forward to the serpent, gonna use that pelt elsewhere.
>>10621188I miss when diverse cobra female troop packs just referred to hair color.
Hasbro still hasn't shipped anything to me yet. Getting annoyed.
>>10621378What did you get?
>>10621174Oh I get why people are selling off the tan ones, but I just think it's ridiculous to sell off the figure "no one wants" at a price that's higher then the original two pack was sold for. I'm sure this set will see a restock, the damn Viper set was all over the place and went on deep clearance. But who is actually going out and buying the "undesirable parts" as such a high mark up?
>>10621600It's just because it's new and FOMO overreactors always panic and buy 50 dollar shit for 80 dollars, which inflates the value of something for a few months. It's like how right now, if you're just that desperate, you can get a range viper if you want, you'll just be paying 2.5x the regular price of something that you might end up seeing in person during a Christmas blowout at walmart or whatever.
>>10621600A lot of people don't use Pulse. Like a whole lot of people. They buy all their shit via ebay under some kind of dumb excuse or other or laziness and then yeah you're gonna get this kind of bizarre scalping culture.
>>10621004>So I just opened up my Valkyries and I gotta admit, the tan webgear isn't as bad in personI agree but maybe I'm just biased because I live in the desert so it fits well with my natural environment. Also looking at it closer, I think painting some of the details black will make it better. Same with the weapons. I'm going to do a wash and add some black to the grips and whatnot. Painting Beachhead's guns really helped them to not look cheap so it should work here too.
Still not grasping the tan gear issue, just take it off and keep yhe toy and replace the gear with 3rd party stuff?
>>10621784Some people are lazy because she has tan painted on other parts of her and for some reason they are scared to pick up a brush.
>>10621374Wow, Cobra used to have some nice rack and thigh standards policy
>>10620164What? You aren't interested?
Other than Grunt, are there any guys that pass for a modern day special forces soldier?
>>10621996Falcon, as a guy who took an IED to the face and had to get emergency reconstructive surgery in Kuwait
>>10621793I may be totally wrong but you could even dye the tan stuff black right? I guess I'm just not seeing it, I'd rather they both be uniform myself.
>>10622406The boots you could but her arms would be pretty difficult because you can't just pop off her forearms like you can the boots. Otherwise you'd risk dying the blue part of her arm. It'd be far less effort to simply paint it.Did anyone else get an update for Desert Snake Eyes from Amazon? Mine should be here Tuesday apparently
>>10622469this is the only snake eyes I intend on buying, but the general reaction to the figure leads me to suspect it'll be going for 15 bucks in a few months
>>10622487It's just that it's like the 5th snake eyes we've gotten since classified started... I think most people who just wanted a snakeeyes have the one they want. Unless you're someone who buys one of every figure, I imagine like 80% of people are skipping him.
>>10622469>>10622487That's a pretty neat look for him
>>10621775It's far easier to use Ebay, that's why. Pulse is fucking useless as fuck if you want stuff, because faggot faces use bots to scoop up entire inventories of new figures before anyone can actually pre-order shit on the website. And Hasbro routinely fucking refuses to keep pre-orders opened indefinitely so that people can buy them in the months leading up to their releases.
>>10619930>>10619933Still think the MOBAT should've been the next HasLab after the H.I.S.S Tank as a rival to it rather than the Dragonfly. Hope we get the MOBAT regardless in the future.
>>10622509I am, I've got v1, the fortnite (I think, got shipped to the inlaws out of state when we moved) and the retro which is MY snake eyes. I'll get a timber set eventually but until we get blue snake eyes I'm OK.
>>10622629most of the time it's easier to do it that way with store exclusives too, when there's 1) autist scalpers buying up everything in person2) employees themselves doing it 3) your stores never get any of the product in the first place
>>10622629It really doesn't help that you pretty much need to be paying for a premium membership to even have a chance at getting some of these things. Sometimes they don't even last beyond that. That beging said, some of the recent stuff, like the Valkyries and the Tele-Viper/Bubble set were available and never sold out all throughout the PO period, and only sold out once they actually came in stock and started shipping out.
What's the best way to pop the top half of the torso off the abs with a classified? Boil them first?
>>10623588Boiling the torso won’t work, you’ll have to crack it.
>>10623736No dice, then. I'd rather just snip the belt off with scissor then.
Is anyone else picking up an Axel Foley figure? Lecroy Toys is doing them with Lone Wolf Toys, and Bad Mother Tatoos and Customs.
>>10623821When are we getting G.I. Joe style slashers? Scarlett and the girls need to be stalked by Freddy
>>10624004The NECA ones are too big, right?
>>10624006I think so. Have they made new ones on a smaller scale? They would be awesome. Jason, Leatherface, Pinhead, all kinds of little accessories and playsets.Lady Jaye takes a wrong turn and next thing you know, The Tall Man is chasing her
>>10623837The company Lecroy Toys is offering them. They're currently involved in doing a pseudo o-ring style line of figures that they have up on BigBadToyStore-https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/173932?o=4The guy making them said on his Instagram that he's making a run of fully painted ones with custom slide decals made by Bad Mother Tattoos and Customs. This run is coming in December, and you'll have to message him on Instagram when he makes them available, sort of like what Black Major does with some of their more limited run customs.https://www.instagram.com/lecroystoys/You can currwntly buy the unpainted o-ring head and Lions decals thru Lone Wolf Toys and Bad Mother Tattoos.
>>10624109The customizer, LoneWolfToys sculpted the figure and sells the blank head sculpts currently on his website. He also sells a number of custom o-ring kits that are better than anything Hasbro is putting out.https://lonewolftoys.ecrater.com/p/41216065/detroit-axel
>>10624004The guy who sculpted the Axel figure has kits for Jason, Freddy, and Michael, along with some bikini and nude o-ring bodies for all your slasher scenes.https://lonewolftoys.ecrater.com/p/43234425/trio-of-terror
>>10624133Some other examples of his work. These are what the kits look like when they arrive. They're very high quality and look great in hand.
>>10624145His Heartwrencher kit, which really looks miles better than that exclusive modern era version.
>>10624149His Pythona kit
>>10624153His Covergirl head sculpt next to an official Hasbro one. I'm sure if Hasbro ever remade her O-ring figure they'd still give her that large old lady head.
>>10624145>https://www.instagram.com/lecroystoys/>>10624149>>10624153>>10624160I wish I had painting skills. Would like a bikini baroness and a nude body.
>>10622469The only reason to buy desert Snake Eyes is to use them as placeholders for Desert Scorpion Cobra Troops. What the hell were they thinking with this repaint, when we STILL don't have a proper mass release of Snake Eyes V2???
Anyone know the point of having SDCC exclusives if people won't be able to get them until 4-5 months AFTER the convention?I want my Chuckles figure already!!!
>>10624035>The Tall Man with those metal ball thingies as accessoriesBOOOOOOY!!!!Never thought I could want that.I've seen some guy selling 3D print models for Ash, Snake Plissken and the likes. Ash would be the perfect fit for a versus.Or mix the pieces to make that guy from Billy & Mandy.
New pics went out for the Pulse Con exclusive Crimson set>https://news.hisstank.com/2023/09/12/hasbro-pulsecon-2023-schedule-of-events-september-22nd-2023-84269
>>10624657sexy expression, but not as sexy as those double-jointed elbows
>>10624657Please, Hasbro, give me this in black.
>>10624666it's annoying with the twins too, because the facial sculpts on in this set look softer and less refined than the existing ones but Xamot's scar is actually prominent like it should be unlike the previous one
>anon STILL hasn't subscribed to Pulse
>>10624657She looks amazing. The twins and all the weapons look like shit. This is going to be a reluctant buy that I'm going to regret getting almost as much as I'd regret passing on it.
>>10624666I was going to say just use the retro thats peg warming but this has the new Double Elbows and Torso. I really am not looking to a fourth baroness until the blue version for the DiC era, but if they pack it with her Q-Anon disguise I might be tempted.
>>10624789At this point you can even get the Baroness with the bike for under retail on Amazon.
>>10624796I got her coming in today, pretty excited
>>10624833Really the only flaw with the figure is the elbows, and I guess the hair limiting head movement but there's no real cure for that one.
>>10624153That looks good. >>10624657Is this all I have to worry over for pulse con? They look cool but I'm just not hyped to double dip on the twins and ice got two baroness figures so I'm quite ok with cobra leadership roles being filled. If it were major bludd in crimson I'd bite.
>>10624657>bottom teeth visible while biting lipHow is that physically possible to do?

>>10625254So she bites herself to turn into a titan? Frigging titans.
>>10624685Baroness's scream is borerline pornographic and Xamot's is comedic, but Tomax looks like a fucking wojak
>>10624210I contacted a bunch of customizers in toy groups to do paint commissions for me. Here's what the bikini one looks like painted.
>>10624971I just picked up the Hulk Hogan kit, so he can finally join my Joes.
>>10625441Who's that green motherfucker on the left there?
>>10625443I think it's a Mighty Ranger. They were KOs from the 90's that were part Power Rangers and part GI Joe.
>>10625455I actually contacted multiple customizers, but Lecroytoys did respond back. He told me about how Axel would be for sale fully painted around December. He's going to be selling the figures for around $130 I believe, which isn't too bad for a super limited fan made figure.
>>10625469I just want a bikini baroness based off that one ep and a nude one for reasons.
>>10625439Kinda chonky.>Alf is back! In o-ring formNice
>>10625441Nice, I'm kicking the tires on putting together a figure or two. You got not hulk, ultimate warrior, Rocky, and ba from a team or clubber Lang not to mention Apollo creed. Kinda amusing myself making toy vs pw dream matches.
>>10624876Kind of pissed off...Ollies got in three cases of the Crimson Guard/Zarana/Dusty wave for $5 each and someone already motherfucking grabbed all the Crimson Guards. Was super fucking pissed off. Ended up buying a dusty for custom fodder. What Cobra troops does Dusty's head fit on the next joint for?
>>10625345>It's over, Commander! Joe team has already depicted your troops as the soijaks and ourselves as the chads!
>>10625609>>10625247the dichotomy of baroness having anal sex
>>10625586Buy a spare Shipwreck or Tiger Force Outback (IE the shitty version of Outback). Both are compatible with Dusty's head.
I'm super excited for Chuckles to ship I know he's supposed to be Magnum PI but I can't stop seeing him as Ryan Gosling's character in The Nice Guys
>>10625686You got a notice that he's shipping?
>>10625717No notice yet but I was just reminded of him looking through the Joes I have coming in for the rest of the year
It seems like my gamestop ordered Snow Serpent is getting ready to process, they sent me an email about confirming my info an hour ago
>>10625523I highly reccomend them. I'm going to have a custom Dic Lady Jaye painted up for my 90's Joes. Also working on a Dic Zarana.
>>10625788I got charged by pulse but no shipping. Also got stalker on the way finally, been dragging my feet hoping for a new version to be announced
>>10626130I finally got charged for Mindbender last night!
>>10626148Whoa, he went back up??? That's great, where'd you find it?
>>10626420I pre-ordered him off Pulse last year
>>10624657Looks good, I miss the shoulder pads though, I think that helped her silhouette quite a bit. I did want a crimson Baroness, but the twins are too lackluster for me to splurge on the set just for her. >>10624789Still blows my mind that they not only used single jointed elbows for her and Scarlett, but that they were so fucking shitty. It's not like they have to adhere to a design, it's their own original stuff, they easily could have modified it to reach at least 90 degrees.
>>10626420They seem to be making another print of him for Pulsecon.
>>10626500Nice, but good luck to everyone holding their breath for any kind of scaled back wide release version now.
>>10614924I swear this line gets more and more tempting. Though if I were gonna grab some, I'd go with the Red Shadow looking guys. I don't really care about an army of Zombies, but those sci-fi WWII lookin dudes would be a fun squad to build.
>>10626644I would like to get a couple of these guys to pair with Mole Rat but $38 a pop is pretty steep even though they come with a lot.
>>10626644>>10626653No joke on that price. I have so many of these guys pre-ordered and I'm suddenly very scared they're all going to actually drop all at once despite the staggered pre-orders
Upgraded v1 Grunt and Snake Eyes
>>10626653>>10626672The price is the one thing that's stopping me from grabbing a team. I would have loved if they did a cheaper army builder figure, less paint and gear, but it seems they want to go all out with these guys. I did break and finally decided to order their Not-Frankenstein's monster. I figure he'd be a good one off at the very least so I won't feel the need to grab more right now. Plus I'm a sucker for smart, good guy frankenmonsters wielding tommy guns.
>>10626692I mostly just went for, like, the not Frankenstein, the Imvisible Man and the big bad because he's an evil mummy and I fucking live mummies, even though he doesn't necessarily have the total mummy look. The zombies ended up getting me too, though.
>>10626679I mean, at this point I wouldn't call it v1 at all...So where's this from anyway?
>>10626503I'm still waiting for a dang major bludd, I know it's available from resellers at a fair price, I just get grumpy that everyone gets all these repaints but I can't get a damn mercenary. >Valkyries repaint when exactly? Can they be snow deco or maybe alley viper? Thanks hasbro.
>>10627031my main concern with a new major bludd would be his face being a downgradethe face on the cobra island one has probably the most sculpt and effort and paint put into it of any figure in the line and regardless of sculpt being the same the paint could end up being worseAnd I want a lady viper two pack before the valkyries get re-used again

>>10627205uhit's a scimitar now
>>10627212From Amazon at least
>>10627203Thanks, pretty neat
>>10627205Still have no idea how the fuck this happens when the weapons are just shipped loose in a little tissue paper baggie.
>>10627205It's not bent, it just has character. Anyone else get charged for the python patrol crimson guard? Anyone actually going to put together the whole squad? Copperhead is coming next which only leaves the Tele viper. I'm not interested in python copperhead myself, the mainline release is perfect for me.
>>10627673>Anyone else get charged for the python patrol crimson guard?I saw like 8 of them at Target yesterday
Does anyone know what tools would be best to dig into a figure's neck hole so it can sit lower on a neck peg?
>>10627540I don't know either. What's even more odd is that it was just that sword and the scabbard that were bent. Everything else, including the second sword, were perfectly fine.
The Hot Bitch Strike Team/Cobrally Spies is coming along pretty well, I have to get some better guns and I plan on using the two-pack Silk Marvel Legend for the eventual third and final one. I'm got a loose MCU Ms Marvel figure to give the blonde a more ninja-y red scarf instead of a bandana.
>>10627873They all received an endocrine implant from Dr. Mindbender that makes them exude sexual pheromones in order make targets more pliable before intel extraction or assassination. Also it's bad lighting.
>>10627906>double white man vipersb a s e d
>>10627858where's the blonde head from?
>>10627946That's Valeria Richards from a Fantastic Four 2 pack with Franklin, I bought her loose. She looks a little evil which made her a great option.
>>10621374I know there's unpainted custom heads out there, but I still think there's a good market for someone to move in on just pushing out pre painted and pre peg fitted heads for classifieds. I'd buy the shit out of some pony tail valkyrie heads.
>>10627991Unlike Mattel, Hasbro doesn't used consistent balljoint sizes between lines or even figures in the same line. Also the skintones change every figure
>>10627205>>10627797So does this release confirm that a headswap between wave 1 SE and the retro is possible? Or did they develop yet another unique ball joint?
>>10628037If it's the same torso mold I doubt they'd change it, but I wouldn't bet any money on thatI legitimately believe there's someone or multiple someones at hasbro that don't want us swapping heads outside of specific figures with multiple head options
>>10628041Yeah the same can be said for many of their lines, but at least Joe heads have been easy enough to pop off. Black Series heads have such small sockets that attempts to remove them can easily rip the neck joint apart, even with lots of heat
>>10628007 This seems like a self-sabotaging act. Butt hen I've seen some of their bullshit Haslabs so I'm not surprised.
>>10627888>>10627962Looks nice. Do you have a backstory or are these just you making your perfect version?
>>10628128The blonde, Valentine (though I might change her name to something else later)- valley girl with rich parents- borderline personality- somehow ended up training briefly with the Arashikage- that didn't work out because she's too much of a psycho - Cobra finds out about her and recruits herSo she's generally a ninja, just without any inner peace or patience or tactI plan on making an Asian one eventually and I didn't want that one to be the ninja, it felt too clicheI have a shortlist of Marvel Legends heads I want to use for unmasked troops (I want to get the upcoming Wonder Man with the bright red glasses, for example, because I think that would be a cool look for an unmasked Crimson Guard), and they just sort of speak to me in terms of what the bullet points of their characterization should be.This one still needs some kind of red neck accouterment for me to be satisfied, I plan on using a Kamala Khan neck scarf.
>>10628265They made her too old and weirdly menacing for a character that's supposed to be like 12 so she's perfect for cobra.
>>10628269What about the latina
>>10628271She's actually an Arab. The head is from the "M" x-men figure, which is the hero name for Monet St Croix who's a lame mary sue character with 15 different powers. So now she's "Sahara" the daughter of a mujahideen extremist who was opposed to cooperating with the CIA in the 80s, and so he got sniped in the head by maybe Snake Eyes or whoever and Sahara was a kid and saw it happen so she swore revenge on the Joes. She's a sniper, and I'm going to give her Spirit's rifle and maybe the desert Snake Eyes' curved sword and pistol.
>>10628278I mean she's the one who should have the palestina scarf no >>10628150Or maybe even better a hijab.
>>10628313She's not muslim anymore, just an areligious arabic terroristthe reason the blonde gets the Kamala Khan scarf is because it reminds me of a ninja thing in ShinobiI'm trying to avoid stereotypesThe asian one will be a heavy weapons specialist
>>10628316Joking aside the spare Marvel heads I have that fit the Vals the best are the Emma Frost one from her black suit version and the Mary Jane Watson one, but I'd have to fill out the sockets a bit to make them fit.
>>10627962>Fantastic Four 2 packIs that Kif?
>>10628327Yeah, those are good heads, I was thinking about using Mary Jane but it looks a little too specific for me
>>10628335She does, and I can't really see her being like a "generic" Cobra either.
The Mrs surprised me with scrap iron. Very very happy, if his face is as nice as copperhead or spirit I'll just be over the moon. Either way, I'll need scappy for the hiss tank and it's always nice when you get a gift.
>>10628424Herbie done grownt up. Really enjoying your stuff bud.
>>10628473I liked Scrap Iron way more than Copperhead, personally.>>10628478Thanks!
>>10628511>>10628424The thighs on the Vals really sell the figures
>>10628775their asses aren't bad either
>>10628789shame the torso joint is a bit stiff
>>10628800That's definitely the biggest flaw with the girls. They can barely even tilt to the side, this: >>10628511 is the best I could do. Arms and legs and shoulders are basically perfect, hips are pretty standard kinda mid, and the necks are alright. It's definitely a base they should reuse, though. I hope they do a Python Patrol single release.
>>10628803Yeah there's just not enough wiggle room due to their THICC CURVES. But I think I can loosen it up.
>>10628330Just his severed head.
Uh, wow. Got an eMail from Pulse saying that Python Patrol Copperhead, PP Officer, and PP Tele-Viper and Trubble Bubble were going up for PO today...did anyone know this was happening, or was this the first news of them dropping this on us?
>>10629110nope its a straight surprise. I feel sorry for people who didnt notice in time since its all target exclusive shit so you really want to order from pulse if you can.
>>10629110Officer and Copperhead where known but the TB was a complete surprise for me. Preordered 1 of each on Target. Hopefully the officer gets clearanced later, I'd like at least 3 or 4.
>>10629110My money is safe from these for sure. Copperhead doesn’t look too bad but man that bubble is hideous.
>>10629126Well, I knew that they had revealed the Officer and Copperhead, I just didn't know if they ever showed or said that they were going to drop them for PO today.
>>10629143I just read about them this morning. They're sold out at pulse so I'll be doing the target pre order shuffle for the officer, probably adding the Spiderman too.
>>10629154Honestly, the PP stuff has been so abundant at Target, I can't imagine these are going to be difficult to get once they hit stores.
>>10629141It's gonna shitty when that one is 10x easier to get than the standard.
>>10629110Does anyone else get an autism tingle that this one is also called "Cobra Officer" just like the last Python Patrol one?
>>10629180Wasn't the last one wrong, and that was just supposed to be the trooper?
>>10629185The last one had the V on the helmet like the standard Officer release.
>>10629188I guess I more mean that IIRC the color palletes were swapped, and that color scheme on the last "officer" was technically the color of the old O-ring standard PP Trooper.Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I do remember it being pointed out that something with the color schemes was wrong about the Classified standard trooper and supposed Officer.
>>10629180>>10629185>>10629188>>10629193The last one was originally a "Trooper" but used the Officer. The "Officer" used the Trooper body. All because someone at Hasbro fucked up in the 80s, But modern Hasbro was trying to fix it so the last one was the Officer and this was suppose to be the trooper... except they did the Trooper colors on another Officer body. Morons.
>>10629205That's silly, but good to know. Whatever the case, for me the previous one is the lead and this new one is the grunt because it's got interchangeable heads and so I'll probably get a second one.
>>10629143I assumed they would go up for preorder with pulsecon in a week like Ripper and Buzzer and the other standard releases seem like they will.
>>10629157True, plus I just got charged for snow job soooooo yeah, I need to cool it on toys. I'll still try to get one, just at a later date. I really don't need it but while I'm not a troop builder per se I do like the look of the various factions together. Go ahead and slap crimson on the trooper and officer, I'll probably buy them.
That's all the original PP figures in Classified then, right? I hope they do a Valkyrie one.
>>10629387All the ones from the 82-94 line yes. Not all the O-Ring ones since a few came out as exclusives in the late 90s and early 00s.
Time to start working on Valk #3

>>10629739maybe once I get the steel corps 2 pack and have people for them to do war crimes onI want to recreate the picture scene from Come and See
>>10629710Oh, sorry. I must have missed that thread, and I had no idea about that figure. Weird.
Yeah you weren't kidding about the tricky fit with female Marvel heads. Some sit okay on the neck but a lot are either too low or too high up. And none of the long-haired ones fit over the backpack, of course.
>>10629946I never almost never use the backpacks for displaying anyway, with the Vipers or CGs or Zartan it's just a heavy piece of plastic that throws off balance and would probably warp the legs/ankles if left for too long. For this one the ball joint was way too small so I took some advice from a thread or two ago and used three layers of heat-shrink wire coating and made the thing like 2.5x bigger and now the ML head snaps on like it needs to. For the other, the trooper ball joint was actually perfectly sized to fit, but the ML head sat too high on the neck so I took a phillips head screwdriver that was roughly the same circumference and just ground at the inner plastic until the hole was an inch or so deeper.
>>10629973NEW THREAD>>10629973NEW THREAD
>>10629908I find that figure pretty cool, even if they made him look like Dolph Lundgren in a bad mood.
