this is also highlighted by the fact the secret girl of the other bjd series anons posted about last thread, the Teenar School Sweetheart JK, has multiple listings (it's the matcha girl at the center)

Abby's body compared to Drac and Frankie
>>
>>10409400
she looks great, wish her nose was more of a soft gradient like in the promos and art, but that can be very easily fixed by hand
>>
>>10409278
matcha girl is 1/96, fish girl is 1/72. the fish girl has a really cute face but her outfit is nothing special so i’m not too bummed.
>>
>>10409400
damn we finally got a big thiccy, but nu abbey is kinda uggers. I'd like to see someone un-tumblr her nose to see if that improves it maybe. if not maybe a new character down the line.
>>
>>10409485
who else could they use this body on? I doubt they'll bring Marisol back
maybe Rochelle will also use the curvy body since real gargoyles are on the thick side
>>
>>10409400
i like her body type, look like she can share bottoms with draculaura. She will also be able to wear rainbow high clothes and some barbie clothes as well. i hope she also has a pearly finish or built-in glitter, i know G1 abbey yellowed overtime but her glittery icy skin was so pretty.

Her nose is so ugly they should have used the same method for her blush plus why use freckle again it's such a dated trend.
>>
>>10409485
I think the nose should be an easy fix luckily. The rest of her face is really pretty.

Her body sculpt might be my favorite of g3 so far. I love that she’s thicc and statuesque but still proportional in the shoulders and chest (I always think Drac’s upper body looks a little shrunken). Going to be very interesting to see what clothes she can wear for restyling.
>>
>>10409400
I wish her torso was just a wee bit longer. Love everything else about the new body, though. I'd be interested in seeing how a G1 head would look on it.
>>
>>10409562
>thicc and statuesque
actually now that you remind me, would abbey be the best g3 for omg lol Fierce clothes?
>>

I hate the fat mold on Drac but for Abbey I think it works better, probably because her height helps. So she doesnt look frumpy and weird. Though I do agree with >>10409581I wish her torso was a bit longer. Its so small it's like the designer forgot to give her one.

it's there, but a lot more faint than G1's, looks more matte as well, kinda reminds me more of rochelle's skin flecks than abbey's glitter, i'm hoping it sparkles more when catching the light or something

I want companies to mold genitals on the dolls. It's about time okay.

Don't see a point for a doll to have genitals, the point is to dress them up and look cute. It be a waste of plastic. Unless you're one of those weirdos who wants to fuck their dolls.

But if you want that so bad. Just go get a bjd. Most have genitals, some companies will even make it so the dicks can move or give you extra pieces so you can swap out the dicks to be different lengths/ stages of arousal. Super weird, but unfortunately true.

For lol dolls their penis is for peeing, the girls only have a hole without any details.
Because of the controversy they kinda stopped doing boy dolls as much since most parents don't read the anatomically correct label.
I find it funny since they're so conservative they would say boy doll without genitalia are trans agenda but they simply draw the line at doll nudity

I like her overall, so I'm gonna get her despite it but I'm getting rid of that blemish asap
>>
>>10409736
/co/ would probably appreciate that more, we don't care about the show over here.
>>
>>10410027
If I cant find a decent enough one in stores I'm gonna see if I can make that purple a little more of a softer gradient on the nose, if not I'm just removing it entirely, it looks silly.
>>
>>10410027
Ugh I really wanted her based on stock pics but this nose just ruins her. I don't have the skill to remove that without also messing up the freckles so she's a no-go for me.

I hate that both she and Clawd look so different from stock pics for some reason, for the worse in both cases...
>>
>>10410553
It's pretty easy with a q-tip, and if you get the ones with paper sticks you can just cut it in half and use the stick to get the tighter spaces to avoid freckles
>>
>>10410460
>>10410553
it's a shame because her nose looked really cute in the promos, but yeah the production paint job is awful, like how they fucked up clawd's hair
i'm just going to lightly remove most of it to make it more of a subtle blend, or remove it entirely and add a new gradient myself
>>
>>10410571
If you look closely, a couple of freckles overlap slightly with the nose paint though. I would almost definitely mess up the freckles at least a little. Maybe more skilled people could carefully avoid it or even re-paint the freckle back on.

>>10410577
Yeah exactly. I was really looking forward to both of them but now, nope. I don't understand why that's happening with these two only, when all the other core dolls look like their stock pics just fine. Doesn't give me much hope for future cores.
>>
>>10410027
I don't even get what her nose is supposed to be? Frostbite? Or is it like a makeup highlight?
>>
>>10410636
The pink nose tip is a makeup trend that’s supposed to make you look like you’ve just spent a bunch of time in the cold so you have a rosy/blushy complexion. I’m probably going to be taking it off and adding in some softer/more diffused nose and face blushing with pink pastels.
>>
>>10410604
Eh losing a freckle or two isn't the worst
>>
>>10410027
All the new head molds of G3 are such downgrade, they have really cute screening but the sculpts lack definition so they're too samey and smiley plus the stick out ears are annoying when styling the hair and doll

>>
>>10411232

>>
>>10411139
Rainbow high should be the top as someone else mentioned. BJD should be down a tier, its still not normie, typo in 'gorgeous', the last two groups are very good though.

I'm conflicted on Na na na surprise that far down though, is it really that 'strange'?
>>
>>10411244
That's makeup trends for ya, nose blush was and in some cases still is a thing.
>>
>>10411139
Feel like bjd and pullip are too high. They should definitely not be on the same level as lol omg. Those dolls can be found in any retail store meanwhile bjds and pullips are more niche and can only be obtained through certain sites. Also, why is RH so low? Like a lot of these are really subjective but some are super recent and currently trendy which belongs on the top teir.
>>
Noob question: does "playline" VS "collector" have a meaning beyond how much the manufacturer/retailer tries to charge you? Are there mainstream collector dolls with delicate lace and such you wouldn't let your small child play with?
>>
>>10411450
"Collectors" quality is all over the place, sometimes it's near identical to playline quality just with a collectors label slapped on, sometimes it's a step or two above playline with unique clothes and hair with a lot of small detailed accessories, sometimes it's clothes that are intensely detailed and delicate, with real gemstones and precious metals. It's up to the collector but generally i don't think many people here want kids touching any of their collection, collectors quality or not.

The modified faceplates can look really cute imo. I assume it's the ease of customization, if you get a base doll it's not too hard to get blank faceplates to customize and switch out, so you're not risking the full doll. Their bodies are also roughly the same size as other fashion dolls so they can fit a lot of clothing.

I think they suffer from the same problem as the BJD community where a lot of ppl make very ugly sculpts/dolls because it's just the "aesthetic".
>>
>>10412686
I don't know what the deal is with these faceplates though, I see a lot of very cute ones but when I look them up to purchase it's always like 300 dollars a plate. It's weird that china isn't mass producing plates with different sculpts since they're so popular, but you can buy bootleg default plates.

>dolls for a heterosexual male?

You can buy whatever you want if you're an adult with a job.

I personally like the Barbie looks series because of the better face sculps and monster high because I like monsters. Both have jointed ankles, wrists, knees ect. They're pretty much 12 inch action figures.

You might be able to find barbie looks 8 at tjmaxx for 10 right now if you like pixie cuts.

It's kind of a money dump of a hobbies if you're serious and not just cooming. Because you'll buy other dolls for outfits, fake food, furniture, etc so you can kind of set up photos and make fake scenes.
>>
>>10415001
Picture of 8, though 12 and 16 are my favs though.

If you're just cooming though, just get a cheap 10 dollar doll at Walmart, coom, and put it in the garbage and move on. Or just look up a pic or something.

Dolls are a money sink if you really like them. Like those Looks 12 and 16 dolls have the curvey legs and feet. A lot of barbie clothes won't fit them. So you end up buying other curvy dolls at 10 20 and 25 to get pants and shoes. You could drop 100 just to get the outfit you want if you have a vision of something specific.

I got lucky and made a custom pretty cheap over the weekend. Got a new curvy yoga made to move for $5 and a barbie fancy with a rainbow side shave and made a new doll with the two. But the fancy clothes don't fit curvy legs so I'll have to buy a third doll to complete the look.
>>
12. Very comfy face sculpt.

All the looks dolls have 5 poa in the arms and another 5 in each leg. I think they also have a waist swivel. This is more than the first generation made to move dolls that only have 3 poa per limb and no waist swivel.
>>
>>10415001
>It's kind of a money dump of a hobbies if you're serious and not just cooming. Because you'll buy other dolls for outfits, fake food, furniture, etc so you can kind of set up photos and make fake scenes.
This.
It's so much fun to give them different outfits (and you end up with excess bodies), but you won't want to just treat a shelf like a bare fashion runway, so you spend more money on scale furniture and small accessories to take funny photos...
>>
>>10415046

And God help your wallet if you get into the doll houses
>>
>>10415046
I do wonder how much crossover there is with dolls and playing with sims, character creatures, house creatures, etc.

Like I'm not playing pretend with these things. I just have a vision of something I want to create. Like a specific outfit with this doll and another outfit with this other doll. I want to like recreate the 80s barbie rockers and then have them go to McDonald's.

That sounds like pretend but it's more like setting up a fake photoshoot for ads in my minds eye.

It's fun to assemble these things. Like playing with the character creator or that one castlevania where you collect furniture and decorate a room.

The only thing similar for men imo is people that get deep into photos and building backgrounds.

I guess if dude really wanted boy dolls, there are various 12 inch joe releases, then mego releases and some attempts at 12 inch star wars dolls. I think there are also 12 inch WW2 style dolls and vehicles. There is even a 12 inch scale Stuart tank that I shoot myself for never picking up because it would have been killer for a tank girl custom. I think hottoys might technically be dolls.

But if it's just cooming, I'd just spank it to images online. Dolls are a pretty expensive sink just to wank to Abby in hot pants

Ngl, my doll collecting got me into playing the Sims again after barely touching any of the games since I was a kid. Unfortunately my laptop is currently on its last legs and can't handle it for more than an hour or so without overheating so I've had to shelf it for now until I get a few one lmao
Also very glad I've always been into crafting and sewing because being able to make my own furniture, clothes and accessories for my dolls has probably saved me a small fortune

i only recently got into doll collecting and i didn't realise just how much i'd want to pick up for sets/props sake, it's really gotten me into potentially making miniatures and furniture myself though.

same anon, personally i love having sets for my dolls and giving them various restyles, but i don't really play with them or anything, i just want them to look nice on display instead of standing around and like to switch them up now and again. for me it's probably partly because i'm an artfag and one of my main interests is character design, it's why i love monster high so much.

>Enchantimals

>Spirit dolls
The horse movie ones? Haven't seen those in stores for years.
>Harry Potter dolls
Also have not been in stores for years now.
>Bratz
Only has collector releases now and very limited runs.
>Art Squad, Bright Fairy Friends
Never heard of or seen these.
>Miraculous Ladybug
Not fashion dolls imo, more like action dolls but could technically count ig. Very limited runs again.

The other ones you mentioned aren't fashion dolls (AG, Calico) or are only available in specific areas with high levels of black people and in very limited runs (Fresh Dolls, Naturalistas, Karma, Proud Family, Laylay, Dream Ella). Never seen any of those in-person because the population here is barely 2% black. So none of those are mainline, widely available fashion dolls competing with the ones I listed...

>>10417444
A big city in California and yes, I've been to many in various cities while doll hunting. I'm sure they have plenty of those in places like Oakland or Inglewood, but def not widespread and available everywhere like the mainstream doll lines, so they can't be considered competition.

>>10417339
If you're talking about the anime-style Harry Potter ones, those were discontinued a year or so ago.
>>
>>10417446

>>
>>10417639
>It's a fact that those black-only lines are only available in certain places, not something I made up.
that doesn't mean they don't count. they're also everywhere i go, so it sounds like "certain places" is everywhere you don't go.

>I've been to many in various cities while doll hunting
you're a terrible hunter if you can't think of more than 6 mainstream and widespread lines

>If you're talking about the anime-style Harry Potter ones, those were discontinued a year or so ago.
they're not in the picture above but they just popped up in a different walmart of mine (which also has other different lines than the one in the pic). go outside more
>>
>>10417650
>that doesn't mean they don't count
Yes it does. Small, limited-availability lines can't be compared to mainstream lines that are available everywhere. They obviously won't sell as well just by virtue of not being accessible to a lot of people in the first place.

>they're also everywhere i go
Congrats on living in an area with more black ppl? Again there's been a lot of discussion/debate on these only being available in certain areas. Idk why this fact is bothering you so much.
>>
>>10417650
That anon just wants to be right and gets assblasted when corrected. Notice how "fashion doll lines in the market" goal post got changed to "if i don't see it while hunting it does not count" and "if its not limited it does not count".

Removing Cleo's tinsel is a different experience from removing tinsel from an MGA doll.

Yep, though again only in toy stores. Lola and Wilde showed up in regular retail for a while but now all of them are only in that single chain. Except for Robin. I don't remember seeing her at all, but that might be just that I wasn't really interested in her so I didn't pay attention.

This may not be the correct place to ask but I was wondering if any of you anons here use these dolls as a figure for drawing? I would like a doll with the most feminine look to her, body and face wise, and plain without any or as few sculpted details as possible. I was thinking about picking up a doll from the Monster High line because they seem to have the most points of articulation for various posing and such. Do you have any recommendations? Doesn't have to be Monster High btw, any brand will do so long as they fit my criteria as much as possible
>>
>>10422303
I’ve used one of my mermaze dolls for drawing half-bodies and their proportions are quite cartoony. If you want cartoony feminine bodies, g3 monster high would probably be best for full body.
>>
>>10422303

>>
>>10422309
Wouldn’t an old cheap holiday Barbie be a better choice than a $100+ doll that anon just wants for drawing?
>>
>>10422303
Genuinely, Barbie Looks, other anons on here will shit on them but I've posed Monster High and Integrity and the MtM barbie body is so much more posable and looks way more natural in poses.
>>
>>10422311
from what I'm seeing, holiday and gymnast don't have wrist articulation (they do have waist articulation though), so a monster high would still be the better option in my opinion
however the 2009 fashionistas have about the same articulation as mh + chest articulation, so if you can get one of those it might be a good alternative
>>
>>10422357
My only issue is how ugly the articulation is. Also the fat body is ugly
>>
>>10422311
you can get an out of box or nude poppy parker on ebay for a reasonable price.

>>10422357
the long pants are working overtime here, the MTM knee joint is so ugly. unfortunately ugly joint = way better range of motion so it really depends on what anon’s priorities are. an MTM barbie probably can’t be beat for cost effectiveness especially since clothes for restyling will be way cheaper and more accessible (if anon even wants a clothed doll).

>>10422449
the other brands figured out how to make a curvy doll look good, why is barbie slacking so hard.
>>
>>10422478
>ugly joint = way better range of motion
For drawing reference it's better to have a reference that can articulate closer to a human rather than a joint that looks nice. Anon is trying to use a cheap doll as reference when he should be taking life drawing classes and looking at photo reference so I don't think there is a great recommendation either way.
>>
>>10422478
>you can get an out of box or nude poppy parker on ebay for a reasonable price

I am genuinely starting to hate RH dolls, and the reason isn't rational at all.
They're so pretty, with cute accessories and somewhat unique styles. But at the same time they're so basic and not out-there enough to make me want to display them. But still, so pretty and I'd gladly buy so many of them. But at the same time I don't want to have so many of them. This makes me so angry. Anyone gets what I'm talking about? How do I deal with this?
>>
>>10423131
I get it, they're exceptionally nice dolls, but at the same time none of them really stand out to me, and I don't get any dolls that don't stand out to me. I really wish they'd release fashion packs, and not just purses and shoes, they need to focus on the dolls they have out instead of releasing new characters over and over, especially now that the recent dolls don't come with extra fashions.
>>
>>10410471
agree
>>
>>10423146
>I really wish they'd release fashion packs,
Why is the doll industry moving away from that original business model?
>>
>>10423131
They are really generic, the show doesn't help either, they do have descriptions of them in their website, like Uma and the pink neon girl from Neon Shadow don't get along for example but we never see this. I would say buy whatever calls you and make your own personality and change their clothes.
>>
>>10423176
Im guessing for more money, you are forced to get full dolls for clothes rather than, lets say , a 5$ pack, MH at least is sellling those ugly coffin dolls with tons of clothes and pieces. RH kinda tried fashion packs but for some reason charged 10$ for only a pair of shoes?
>>
>>10411244
You're getting all bent out of shape over unrealistic makeup on a doll of a fucking mythical creature. Think about what your saying.
>>
>>10411450
Collector quality dolls should include elements that would make them unsuitable for children. Small parts, real chain or zippers etc. If it could pass as a doll you'd buy at walmart it's not collector. Like the shit Mattel puts out us just playline at a premium.

>>10423256

>>
>>10423180
> I would say buy whatever calls you and make your own personality and change their clothes.
yeah this is the best way to interact with rainbow high, just buy them purely based on looks and make them your own character.

i get so annoyed with their commitment to making dolls with pretty/interesting outfits that still somehow feel bland and have zero characterization. RH has overcommitted to the real world high school premise, to its detriment because when they want to do more eccentric characters or styles they still turn them into regular teens. now we have girls with purple and blue skintones but are supposed to act like they’re just zooey from seattle who likes fashion design like all the rest of them. lame.

i also hate the industry’s overreliance on the high school setting storyline but that’s a complete different topic.
>>
>>10422303
You shouldn't be using fashion dolls at all for posing reference because their proportion are usually completely fucked. Try these instead anon

ABROBROKI Body Kun Doll, Artists Manikin Blockhead Jointed Mannequin Drawing Figures for Figure Model Male+Female Set (Gray) https://a.co/d/hRv1eK5

They're better proportioned, poseable and in a solid color with no details like hair or eyes to distract you. I have a friend who uses these and they really help when she can't find a photo of the exact pose she needs for reference.
>>
>>10423131
I don’t care for Rainbow high. Ugly round alien faces, big creepy staring eyes with hooker make up shovelled on and they’re all fat with thunder thighs and look stumpy.

The fashions are high quality that’s about it.
>>
>>10423131
i have mara and harley, i love them both and have them on display, even did a bit of custom work to them, but i recently got winter jade mainly for the outfit sets and i just do not care for her at all, i don't even really like having her on display because she's so boring to me
i love the shadow high dolls, they're all much more unique and overall have more fun concepts, but the rainbow high dolls are so fucking boring to me. there's a few exceptions, i like the more recent lines of series 4, the spring line, and the special edition dolls are really fucking good, but overall i'm just so bored by the majority of RH dolls.

Sometimes I wonder how horrifically boring dolls would look if people who think fantasy elaborate makeup is somehow morally bankrupt could make their own doll line. Then I remember "oh yeah we got that boring bitch and her name was Lamilly"
>>
>>10423308
>fat with thunder thighs
i agree they look stumpy but if you think the RH bodies are "fat" you need meds
>>
>>10423531
some people in this thread are so funny with their insistence on hating on dolls with an over-the-top aesthetic. it’s the exact same vibe as the era where people thought they were doing feminist activism by calling MH dolls/bratz/similar lines slutty and blaming them for eating disorders… aka the people who got us lammily (pic relevant) and fat barbie. it’s so cool that random guys on 4chan have picked up where the suburban mommies left off, feminist kings!!

>aka the people who got us lammily
Lammily is actually kind of a fetish doll. The guy who created her has said he finds glam women intimidating and the official insta has a bunch of weird pics comparing her with chubby women's nude/lingerie photos.
>>
>>10423708
I mean that doesn't change the fact that she was a plain faced nothing doll. Like just because that's somebody's niche fetish doesn't change the point I was making.
Also the type of people obsessed with calling little plastic women slutty probably wants some kind of weird trad wife doll line and couldn't tell if s woman was wearing a lot of makeup irl if they had a gun to their head. We've had "down to earth" doll lines in the past and every one of them failed soon out the gate. People want fabulous fantasy inspiring dolls and no amount of weird value projecting us gonna change that.

Rh faces are so unappealing to me I genuinely wouldn't know where to begin on making them look better. Maybe making the face less round and making the eyes smaller and less far apart, for less water head baby down syndrome slay. The irises are too huge. And the too flat squished nose with flared nostrils aren't my favorite either. And the bodies are so wide set, that's pretty much the trend, everything on rh is too wide.
I'm not even a barbie fan, I own 0 barbies. I prefer cartoony dolls but not when they're stylized into the uncanny territory.

rh is whatever to me but i love sh
>>
>>10424518
based and same. Sorta want Zooey but her default outfit does nothing for me. I like the jacket though.
>>
>>10424524
not a big fan of her outfit other than the jacket either. i have picrel on the way for her but i actually really like her as is right now, so i guess it'll probably stay boxed up for awhile
>>
>>10424535
on the subject of not really like certain doll styles, i really don't care for omg faces. but in looking up that last pic i found this and i LOVE this

I'm debating if I wanna restyle her hair or try and remove the painted panty. Would magic eraser and rubbing alcohol do the trick?
>>
>>10424599
it bothers me so much that this is some kinda official image and includes a hoodie that comes with a separate doll

>>10424608
omg doll ariana grande should've brought it up but it's a custom. they've done a couple that i've seen. i think repainting like that might be pretty easy and would quickly solve all my issues with omg faces. just wish they had real knees

Zooey is the only Shadow/Rainbow High I have and I love her but she's miserable to pose unless she's literally naked. I replaced most of her default clothes and her big ass can barely sit.
>>10424535
About half of those clothes won't fit her without modding because the RH body is much thicker, I can say from experience. The accessories are great though. Share pics if you restyle.
>>
>>10424678
my experience with multiple omg and sh dolls is that they will fit (also picrel)
>>
>>10424684
I have that exact doll. The jacket doesn't fit. The blue plastic pieces can sort of fit, but the skirt doesn't close in the back. Her heels stick out of the shoes (but I like those so I still use them
). I could just barely get the leggings up, didn't try the matching top, and she lost all articulation in the hips in those pants. The earrings slip out of her big earholes and the glasses pop off of her slightly larger head. The wrist pieces fit. The phaser is great.
I don't regret the purchase but it didn't end up giving me nearly as many usable pieces as I hoped. Maybe the construction on mine was just unusually small.
>>
>>10424690
>it didn't end up giving me nearly as many usable pieces as I hoped
to be fair i literally only bought it to copy the look in >>10424684 but just realized that i am missing whatever the purple parts are and have to figure that out.
>>
>>10424660
This and various custom Ariana Barbies show up for me. I think this doll has a cute outfit, but yeah the lack of knees
>>10424648
I should've known...
>>
>>10424505
See this is how you criticize shit legit. It's perfectly fine to go "I hate this I think it's ugly" it's the bizarre "this isn't realistic enough" when it's a monster line or "these dolls are too slutty/morally bankrupt" when they're rainbow colored 12 inch plastic people that irks me. If you just can't stand them aesthetically more power to you anon!
>>
>>10424744
I'm still pissed te omg fierce line is stalled out. All three of the first wave were great and cemented in me that I would give so many fucks about omg if they were all the size and articulation of the fierce dolls. Lady divas buck wild boots get me every time

What's the verdict anons? Poly?
>>
>>10424855
its poly.
The rumors that skulltimate secret 2 is all poly came from the youtuber Courtly Jester and her Mattel employee leaker.
Why is Mattel doing this? Is this an experiment to see if fans will still buy the doll if they go as cheap as possible?
>>
>>10424684
dang thats good looking. I'm hoping the 'color' skintones sell well enough they start doing pink and yellow skin, etc. The matching tones are kino and rarely done

the eyes are not the same shape. The prototype looks Asian
>>
>>10425005
Oh that's a bummer, I really liked that Frankie based on the promo pics. Her fringe is cut too high too, and uneven...
>>
>>10424712
It does have the purple mesh on those pieces, it's just hidden in the photo. I'd guarantee her pants aren't closed in the back. The top seemed impossible to me but clearly I'm wrong, it must have more stretch than I thought. You will probably be able to make it work but just be gentle pulling the clothes on. I felt like the leggings were going to split a seam when I put them on her.
>>
>>10425005
if my eyes don't deceive me, the stock pick is the china face and the real doll is the indonesia face
we hadn't seen signature indo cleo before, this might mean all cleos from indonesia will be reddish
>>
>>10425005
Well that's a huge bummer, I was looking forward to this Frankie
>>
>>10421880
If one of the ghouls has a variant skin tone depending on the mamufacturing country, why couldn't it be Lagoona? A lighter tone, or a colder hue, or something that would save her! I like her mold, and I don't hate all her fashion, but that skin tone is impossible. Haven't seen any good restyles of her, because nothing seems to work with her skin.
>>
>>10425241
Her skin actually goes pretty well with teal, purple, and lime. But the shades they used are bad, especially the lime shade (it’s literally just yellow). Also doesn’t help that they used pacific blue instead of teal and regular purple.
>>
>>10425005
That's annoying, this was the only G3 Frankie doll I've actually liked the look of so far and was going to pick up. Really hoping it is just the Indo variant or something.
>>
wtf she suddenly got cute without the ugly bangs
>>

God I fucking hate puritans. They were a mistake.
>>
>>10426136
Ok, wow, that is freaky! So I guess the sculpt is actually pretty good, it's just that they fucked up the bangs. Weird that such thing can fuck up the look so bad.

AFAIK they stopped selling them in the US after EAH was discontinued, but they continued being sold internationally and sell really well in South America and Europe for some reason.

>>10426979
Kek I think it's supposed to be like a button on their pants? But it looks wrong.
>>
>>10426350
Is she poly as well? Goddamnit, Mattel!
>>
>>10427341
yup, and according to some sources, it's the clawdeen-like dry poly, not the cleo-like treated poly
>>
>>10427398

it's a bit of a shame but apparently many of the dolls had wonky eyes
>>
>>10428590
>>10428593
If you're feeling crafty, here's a tutorial that might help you out. From this point, you'd just need to buy doll eyes in the right size. Measure the eye in millimeters and then look up BJD eyes + size, so 14mm BJD eyes for example, and you can use those eyes in the doll.
>>
>>10428582
>>10428583
Aw, I liked the old eyes :( But I'll reserve further judgment until I see them in person
