I was able to remove the entire surface layer of stickyness... but then the figure no longer had a matte texture and had trouble keeping it's limbs up.

I've come to the conclusion that nendroid look best when they are gremlin like character already. I feel like Guts just doesn't feel right as a nendroid but his figma looks like shit too and while his nendroid looks a lot better it lacks muscles and intensity.
