>>10324726>Tell me, how was the gff mc wing gundam and its variants in terms of qc?I only have the original release, but I had zero QC issues with mine Very nice figure! The last MC I bought was the Black Tri-Star Zaku II and I similarly had zero issues with that figure (ditto for the two green grunt Zaku IIs I bought before that), so QC for the MC line seems solid. Granted, I also had no issues with my MB Hi-Nu, but I don't recall hearing about any issues with Wing Custom like there were with Hi-Nu's paint.
>>10326481It's a very nice color but I don't think I could bring myself to own a 3rd Alex, especially at P-Bandai prices. Glad for everyone who got it that it looks great.
>>10326483To piggyback off your response I have snow white replude and no problem either. Someone mentioned before how the og had loose hips half a year ago and I asked him if that is a common issue but he never responded.
>>10326483This looks exactly like the MG ver ka. Why not just buy the MG and paint it using GSI creos pearl white paint?
>>10326839Meant for >>10326483
>>10326839not that anon, but why should he buy something he doesn't want just cause he can make it look like something he does want? Is this kind of retarded logic common among gunpla drones?
>>10326932Because he's retarded and because that wing came out years before the mg.
>>10326932The gunpla is significantly cheaper and that metal composite is riddled with qc issues.
>>10326981>The gunpla is significantly cheaperright. cause it's made with cheaper materials. it's not like it's the same product but sold at a cheaper price. do you comprehend that? >and that metal composite is riddled with qc issues. If anon has the skills to build and properly finish gunpla, as you presume, then he has the skills to fix any qc issues he might run into (I speak from experience in that regard). ye gods, you're lowering the average IQ of the thread by double digits.
>>10324726>>10326483Known issue is the off-center head camera. This affects all GFFMC Wing releases.
>>10326839Having broken a fair few MGs treating them like build-a-figure toys?Yeah, nah. There's a time and place for each.
>>10326839No matter how many threads you ask why people buy figures instead of building gunpla the answer will never change anon.
>>10326839Why do you care?
>>10327049Just the og one right?
>>10327667No, every release including the Noble version

Bandai I know you can take the final step. Give the people what they need.
>>10328568Thanks, fren. I didn't see it on the US pbandai site but it is on nin nin games. Though, it opens up for order in August on there.
>>10326839>all these retards still falling for falseflagsDunno why Gunpla mindbroke people in these threads so hard that some schizo has to LARP like this but you gullible dipshits really need to learn to start ignoring him.

>>10329750It's triple extra wing gundam
>>10329750You mislinked your post. That's not a picture of Penelope.
No P-Bandai logo in sight here, looks like it goes up for PO next week. No product page yet so no price. I feel like hoping for 8800 jpy isn't too silly.

How good is the Dragon scale Guren? Tempted to get it but last time I spent $150+ on a metal build (Mb laevatain) I was left sorely disappointed. The paintjob was terrible and the left leg became loose only after posing him a few times
>>10330134It’s pretty good, definitely better than the Metal Robot Spirits. Stand adaptor sucks ass so you’ll have to either modify it to make the connection better or balance and pray. The proportions might be a little weird depending on your taste since it’s one of the more stylized MB’s, but I think the Guren overall benefits from the design changes (the Radiant Wave Surger arm in particular looks great). The wings are neatly engineered but you will generally need the stand arms for more dynamic poses since they’re heavy as sin, and removing the actual effect parts from the binders doesn’t feel great (I actually snapped off one of the gripping nubs first time I took them off but due to the way they’re designed it still holds on solid as a rock, so don’t worry if that happens). I can’t comment on the paintwork on my copy offhand but I didn’t see anything egregious enough to remember. It’s the best overall Guren Seiten figure on the market IMO, aside from the stand I don’t have any real criticisms, hopefully they improve that when they eventually release the Lancelot later.
>>10330174Do you wear any protective gear (gloves) when handling high end toys like this?
>>10330186Not really, no. If I smudge anything glossy/chrome i’ll wipe it off before putting it back on my shelf or in its box but otherwise I’m not super worried about that sort of stuff. I’m more concerned about breakages and functions working like they’re supposed to when handling figures, paint or finish imperfections have never bothered me unless they’re really bad.
>>10330190>handling figures, paint or finish imperfectionsIm ocd about things like this. I recently bought another RD Gawain because the one I had before had a small scratch on its right arm. Now I'm looking to sell both. How do I become like you? My obsession with qc flaws is ruining this hobby for me and I don't want to quit it. Genuinely asking for advice here
>>10329978Filtered.inb4 generic>y-yeah f-f-filtered by *sniffle* sh-shit designsNo, just filtered.
>>10330193Don’t get me wrong anon, I can be plenty OCD about other stuff, just sort of comes with the hobby from my experience. I tossed the boxes and plastic wrap for a lot of my first few Robot Spirits and 2 Metal Robot Spirits figures for reasons I cannot fathom, and there are times when I genuinely consider purchasing second copies of all of them (the 2 MRDs in particular) solely so I can have boxes for them again. When it comes to paint and finish I grew up mostly with Transformers figures, so to be honest the sort of paintwork Bandai and other companies put out on their higher end stuff is still impressive enough to me in comparison that I let a lot of minor issues with it slide. Best advice I can give is to just recognize that there is no such thing as perfect QC; you’re gonna get duds sometimes, just the way modern mass production is. It sucks when it happens on expensive stuff, but if stuff bothers you enough to ruin the experience then try learning how fix it yourself, more you can control the less you have to worry about rolling the dice every time you buy a new figure.
>>10330193Never buy multiples of a figure to beat the QC odds. Just run with the quirks and learn what you can DIY with your figure, some product lines are rather conducive to being disassembled and un-scuffed by anyone with basic model kit knowhow and some hobby supplies.
>>10330566It isn't aerodynamic at all. It's a fucking brick with random sharp points. Points that would easily break off in a fight, not that it could win anything since the articulation is absolute shit. Even the O had extra arms to compensate for what a fat fuck it was. Go the fuck back to r*dd*t.
>>10331243>aerodynamicLOL>Go the fuck back to r*dd*t.You first faggot. You're the one who's knowledge of the Gundam universe begins and ends with plastic toys. Find a better comeback or a better argument because both of yours are shit.
>>10331611You literally haven't made an argument, counter argument, or anything beyond "lol u dum". You're fucking retarded. Seriously, go back to wherever you came from with your dismissive bullshit.
>>10331243>It isn't aerodynamic at all>Thinking this is important for something in space.
>>10331727It flies in the air in episode one you disingenuous fuck. Plus again, it has awful articulation. The hands can't reach or aim well with all that shit blocking the way. Not to mention it's super easy to hit any of the spiky bits since there's so much area to hit. It's not sleek, sexy, or well proportioned. It's as if someone just kept slapping parts onto a gunpla till the original suit was lost. Now can we please move on? I'm tired of enabling you shitting up this thread with your bullshit.
>>10331243The whole point of the Penelope and Xi is that they don't need to be aerodynamic due to the minovsky flight system, the same kind of system that allows a brick like the White Base fly in Earth's atmosphere. They're basically just miniature battleships or Mobile Armors.
>brick with random sharp points cannot be aerodynamic
>>10331908none of that is random anon, its carefully designed to be as aerodynamic as possible, its essentially the complete opposite of what is being bitched about here
>>10331243Are we seriously bitching about realism in a mecha thread? You stupid children.
I feel so weird after I got my biggest grails.Because now there aren't really too many other designs I'm that interested in owning in toy form aside from 1 or 2 that don't exist at all.I feel like I've almost reached the end of the road. I might get some accompanying figures from the same line but other than that it's a strange feel to not really want something else.Any of you guys ever experience this? I guess it's a feeling of being content with what you have.
Nu Gundam Mass Production Type review:https://hacchaka.net/archives/52092910.htmlLove all the yellow details and pops of teal.
>>10332858What's the grail you got?
>10331660When your argument begins with "it isn't aerodynamic" you're either baiting or you've never given a single shit about Gundam in your life and your understanding begins and ends with plastic toys, which I already stated but you refused to read, which leads me to believe you're just baiting. Either way fuck off. You're an outsider and you aren't owed a debate. Suck my hairy balls, redditor.>>10331727>>10331891>>10331970Don't give him the attention he craves.
>>10332944DX VF-19, MB Exia, and the MRD Woundwort. They're some of my favorite designs of all time and I own the best iterations of them in figure format.
>>10332979Sounds like you gotta come up with a new grail
>>10332982There are a ton of other designs I'm really fond of, but they don't have figures that do them enough justice for me to wanna get them.I'm mostly building my collection around my favorite designs from my favorite designers. So far Ebikawa, Kawamori and Fujioka are already pretty well represented.I wanted to add something from Yamashita, my dream would be a modern EoE Eva unit-02, but it doesn't exist. I considered getting the Metal Build, but I'm not enthusiastic of how the colors on it were done, feels a bit too busy I wish it had been closer to the anime like the MB Exia. But if there's no realistic alternative maybe I should just do it.Nirvash and Xenogears would also be cool, but I'll probably have to settle for the recently announced plamo because I don't think either of those are popular enough for any company to risk a metal figure on em.Katoki, Nihei, and Shinkawa are also on that list, but they're of lesser priority.
>>10332945Oh fuck off dude. You are disingenuous as fuck.
>>10331891There are plenty of examples of good looking mobile armors that compensate for their chunkiness. Those two do not.
>>10332928I hope the double fin funnel type is as good.
>>10332858Sounds like you've yet to catch Cannon Fodder Fever, huh?Look I dunno when Bandai plans to announce the next TV type DX VF-1 but if they do brownies any time soon my wallet is turbofucked.
>>10332979There's like a bazillion Exia variants. Sure you got the one you really wanted?
threezero Voltron review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXtJrZTfdak
Some uncommon Western mecha action! Got this Redemptor Dreadnought in last week, made by a company called Joytoy. Joytoy has been releasing loads of 1:18 Warhammer 40K figures and the smaller figures have been really nice. This Dreadnought is my first experience with one of their large, higher-end figures and I am extremely impressed! The sculpt is well done (granted, it's a fairly simple design) and Joytoy really excels with paint apps. The engineering of the figure is very well done too, with good articulation and strong ratcheting joints, even the fingers are individually articulated with joints at each knuckle. Of course, the most impressive thing about this figure is the sheer size as it towers over RDs and the GFFMC Zaku II. This particular Dreadnought appears to retail for $200 in the US, but it seems fairly easy to get it for $150 or less (I paid $130) and Dreadnoughts from other chapters appear to have their MSRP targeted at the lower $150. At ~$150, I highly recommend this hulk if you're a fan of Warhammer or just dig the design!>>10330193I totally get where you're coming from! Early on in my collecting, I would be very bothered over any flaw I saw on my figures, but nowadays the only thing that really gets to me is when something is broken or damaged. I tend to look at flaws two ways; first, if the flaw is something that is common to all figures (ie, sprue marks on an RD), well it's just part of the figure. Doesn't mean I give the company a pass for the flaw, but it's not something you can change with a different figure. Second, if it's a flaw specific to my copy (ie dinged paint apps), then hey, it's a "charm point" that makes my copy unique, haha. Of course, egregious QC errors will still prompt me to return/exchange a figure (ie wholly missing paint apps), but the main thing that kills me is when the flaw is my fault, like dropping the figure and scratching it up. Ahhh that gets to me, haha.
It was already deleted but some hours ago Amazon listed a Riobot Compatible Kaiser. Probably it will be announced today during the SRW stream by Terada
>>10334895>>10335025>>10335029Man, fuck, why is there this sudden huge influx of SRW stuff? I am going to have to pull out of other lines to keep up with it when every figure its getting is $300+.
>>10335523Sentinel love their pricey products. Compatbile Kaiser is gonna cost an arm and a leg though, especially with the G Thundergate being Sentinel Store exclusive.
>>10335668Yeah unfortunately I'm probably in for anything they make. I hope they do KoRyuOh and RyuKoOh next, seem like the type of flashy design they favor.
