Jumbo Mikey has already been found at a Walmart. It's going to vary HEAVILY on your area if you see this thing or not.
>>10232452Looks like the Jumbos and the Battle Shells AREN'T Target exclusive? Which, if that's the case, makes Walmart getting only Mikey as an exclusive to them even more fucking ridiculous.
And speaking of the Storage/Battle Shell Turtles...Playmates done a Playmates. Turns out there's wrong stickers, missing accessories, and reused limbs. For instance, Mikey is has Donnie's arms, and Raph's legs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOpJxyVQreQ&t=1263sMore weird bullshit.
>>10232462Playmates is like a retarded hillbilly that sits on a gold deposit and doesn't know what to do with it.
All these brands and products feels like TMNTmania again. All that's left is a musical or something
>>10232632They already did the coming outta shell Turts. Some of my favorite pieces.
Guy's, Tatsu's finally getting made.
>>10232717While I'd like that to be true, I don't trust some random asshole on Facebook. Especially one that got mad that people called him out as a liar and posted a bit "trust me!" post.

>>10232452>>10232457can't even find these at target let alone wilmrat..
>>10232717>>10232950Yeah I'm gonna need a more reliable source for this
>>10232457walmart needs to be forbidden from having exclusives until they start stocking their fucking online store
>>10232632i love that even this wonky attempt at adapting the movie suits is still so much better than what we actually got that you could easily call this false advertising.>>10232717praise yahweh-sama. please let it be true.and if it's not, then maybe the news will reach him and he'll be like "What? no i didn't." and then hopefully he has the wherewithall to understand about internet liars, but also gets the seed in his mind "hey i should do that" since apparently neca hasn't even been able to hear from him.
So Krang with his giant body is being made in Bst AXN at 8 inches. Really tempted to drop the playmates reissues and buy these instead, just wish that the turtles themselves looked more like the playmates heads instead of the cartoon. Sick of the stores here, Australia, just having the four turtles and the movie box.
My Super7 Leo has loose-ass legs. Is this normal? Any fixes? He can't hold up his body weight if his legs are spread
>>10233156>normal?i'm afraid so. it's not every single figure in the line, but it's most of them>any fixes?for the hips, yes. floor polish (if you don't have, you can just buy the important ingredient, which is water-based polyurethane varnish. it's not expensive and a little will last forever) for the inner pelvic piece which wobbles freely, not really. not unless you can figure out how to pump floor polish up under his shell, above the rim of the pelvic piece, and let it drip down into that piece's interior. I feel like if I just had an S-shaped tube of some kind, it might be possible to kinda 'periscope' it in. but you'd be working totally blind.
>>10232434Vintage-anon here. Went to a local collectibles store and found a bunch of figures. Could only afford to get some guys, but I'll definitely go back soon to get some more. Here's my recent haul. I didn't notice until after I had already bought him, but Raphael's a soft-head. I was already happy to find some figures with their accessories, but that was a fun surprise.Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the 25th Anniversary figures' weapons are the same as recent rereleases where they used different color plastic? I wonder if there's a way to tell if you've actually got the original weapons with the vintage figures or if you got a later releases'.
>>10233156Cop spotted
>>10233926oh wow, the softheads. first edition.
>>10233926The newer re-release weapons are pretty flimsy and almost translucent. I couldn't say for sure if there's a way to tell definitively though.
>>10233926i forgot all about the rat-ppling hook. I cannot wait for super7 to do this guy. bald spots and all. and if they leave off the centipede, I've got a spare one for him to have.
Are the BST AXN toys any good? I kinda like the look of their Shredder.
>>10234276It is the second best current tmnt toy line behind s7
>>10234285Thanks. I only collect Masters of the Universe and cheap vintage TMNT for my kidsBut that Shredder looks good and especially at that price.
I haven't been invested in TMNT for a long time, is there any nostalgia for the 2003 series in the fandom? All I see in merch is early 90s and the moviesI grew up with the classics, bought everything of 2003 series when I started my job, then my parents sold it all at a yard sale for probably pennies while I was away, all I have left is part of a spaceship and the wind up Shedder w/out the helmet
>>10234285This is a total lie.>>10234296Don't. The BST line is one of the worst TMNT lines out there. They break very easily, they fall apart even easier than that. They are overpriced garbage. Loyal Subjects may be pumping them out, but they are God damn awful. Everyone that has bought them realizes the mistake they've made. Do not be fooled by the troll here >>10234285
>>10234683>is there any nostalgia for the 2003 series in the fandom? There is huge nostalgia in fandom but Nickolodeon afraid to use or promote 2003 for some retarded reasons. Probably because they want to push le wacky cartoon kids friendly TMNT image.
>>10234703Probably more to do with 2003 being poison. They want sales. Nobody wants to touch 2003, and rightfully so.
Neca breaks easily, often in the package. BST AXN IS overpriced but never had one break on me. Its biggest problem is a shit character assortment. Did anyone ask for the street clothes turtles? They have big gold Krang out but the regular one is months off? No April or Splinter?Rocksteady & Bebop having human alt parts is interesting, though Rocksteady is off-model "not muh cartoon" to make it work. And none of those ugly black lines Neca does, that only Neca buttkissers think looks good. It's a 3D model, it doesn't need that shit. I got their Krang android to fit in with Super7, if Loyal Subjects veer gets their Krangs out I'll replace them just for lacking that stupid shit. It's weird though their 2 Krangs will be Neca size for a line that's overall much smaller scale.
>>10234714>Neca breaks easily, often in the packageLiterally none of that is true. The way you're twisting yourself into a pretzel to defend BST is quite depressing though. You must not know what a good action figure is, and that's truly sad.And the black lines sell the animated look. It does need that, and it looks incredible. Keep sucking cock I guess. BST sucks.
>>10234714
>>10234710>poisonHow's so?If I remember right 2003 toys and merch sells a way better than 2012 or movie toys.
>>10234276They are quite literally bottom of the barrel trash. Anyone telling you that they're good? They're trolling you. 100%. How they're still going is a mystery, but I have to assume it's because of how poorly made the figures are, they aren't spending much money.
>>10234742>f I remember right 2003 toys and merch sells a way better than 2012 or movie toys. That sure is a fun thing you just made up.

>>10235136>go to the trouble of sculpting a unique pig head>turtles and humans just get a cylinder
>>10232449Gonna pass on these. Chibi look doesn't really suit the Turtles. Anyone that excited for these? Im not sure what is really throwing me off of these they just look kind of off.
>>10235620desu I like turtle chibis, I think it suits them. here's the problems:>knee pads broken up>proportions TOO chibi. typically the four chibi limbs should add up to at least the volume of the torso. yes the turtles could be stumpy-proportioned sometimes, but not like this>massively oversized heads. again, should be the size of the torso if not smaller. Nendos can pull off bigger heads, but it helps that anime characters tend to have a whole lot of cranium and only a little face down at the bottom of the head. These gigantic oversized mascot heads do not work at all. and speaking of>all the same faceand it's that party-napkin turtle face. Way too vacuous for something like this. . decent if they're doing little 'yay!' poses, but not for brandishing weapons. The turtles looked way cooler in the old cartoon, especially the original 5-parter. and it's japanese artists who made them look that cool, so you'd think they would mimic THAT more.
>>10235620I think they look like really fun toys, but I've got so many TMNT things now...these aren't grabbing my attention enough. If I could get them on clearance or something? Maybe.

I bought my giraffe neck prime turtles back on release and kept them in package and they’ve become sticky with what necallectors KNOW is commonplace: cheap nondurable plastics lead to ooey gooey plasticizer leaking out of the pores of randy’s gifts. It is inevitable.
>>10237437You're trolling with this same bullshit, again. You couldn't even add anything realistic to your post... You are so bad at this. Nothing you said is true.

>>10235620I actually am, and don`t currently even own any tmnt. I just think the look fits them REALLY well.i hope this Nendo line continues beyond just the turtles.
Went back to that shop and picked up some more guys. These'll be my last pickups for now. They had more stuff, but I got all that I was interested in. Humorously enough, this Donatello that was next to the Raph I got before was actually a soft-head too! I checked everyone else, but he was the only softy they had. I think they both might've had the same original owner, as they both have the same weird stain spots on their bodies. I gotta say, I really love guys like Mondo and Baxter with all the extra sculpted detail on 'em. They look sick as fuck.>>10233946>>10236963Pretty rad!>>10234166Yeah, I figured as much.>>10234244It's such a goofy accessory, but ya gotta love they stuff they threw in back then.
>>10238103Make My Day Leo was one of my favourite toys growing up. The turtles and real-ass guns just worked.

>>10238962huh, neither of them looks right to me. not based on the pictures i'm pulling up from tmnttoysrecent classics dons have had their red turned up too high. the one on the left looks.. about right to me, and the right looks dark and desaturated. as if someone overcompensated and removed most of the red
>>10237351Based Stone Turtles
>>10239094>StoneSuper7, get on this right now!
>>10238962I want to say the left because the purple is brighter, but in my mind 90s toys don't have matte finishes on the paint, so I'll say the right
>>10238962Gonna say right. Left looks like what I remember. The purple on the right (especially the belt) are too dark and desaturated. Same for the skintone. Gums don't seem to be the right screaming neon pink either.
>>10239504i still can't believe this was a thing
>>10239504Nah S7 has too many licenses going and they cant focus their quality on any of them, I want Mattel to get them and add it to there MOTU Origins line like they did with those Sun Man characters.
>>10239748The late 80's and early 90's were a wild time for toys. I wouldn't believe half the shit that came out of that time if I hadn't witnessed it first-hand.In retrospect the idea of trolls that tried to appeal to the TMNT demographic makes sense from a moneymaking standpoint. Trolls were big, turtles were big, why not find a way to combine their appeal? What could possibly go wrong?
>>10239748>>10239789The weirdest part was that it actually worked. I remember being really excited for Stone Protectors, both the toys and the cartoon. In retrospect they're really goofy (and the ones with bared teeth are kind of frightening), but this made perfect sense in like 1995.
>>10239789>>10239820How successful were these anyway?
>>10239820roffle you must be a little younger than me. I found it the cringiest thing to date.>>10239789the problem is they didn't understand the synergy very well. firstly, only girls like trolls, secondly, the hatedom for trolls is significantly larger than the fandom. they're up there with cabbage patch kids for "why did someone deliberately make this disgusting face instead of a cute one?"even the stone protectors are horrified by being turned into this shiton the other hand, they had sense enough to move the gummy gems up to the chest, the correct power-gem location for a cool superhero.you can really tell they had no ideas beyond 'we will sell toys' because their fucking theme song is just the description of their gimmick
>>10239832Apparently not hugely, neither the toy line nor the cartoon lasted long. I think people only remember it because of what a strange concept it was.
>>10239504I miss the neon era of toys so much
>>10239832One season and the toys hit the 3/$5 bins at KayBee Toys. It's how my brothers and I got all 5. We still watched the cartoon and enjoyed it but we enjoyed most action cartoons at the time. Like Biker Mice from Mars which Im hoping gets good playable figures and not just retro shit when it gets rebooted. My dream would be EXO Squad to be the next big retro revival. But playmates is ass now and their reissues would have less paint apps then the originals did already. If Jazzwares picks up the license it might fare better. They have those mini articulated Fortnite figures.
>>10238962right, you can tell by the desaturated belly chest.
>>10239847These were so fun, too bad the parts were so easy to loose. A few years ago I was going through stuff in the attic and I found the fat dummy with the bug-out eyes and ears, but it was just his torso and head. I don't even remember how or where I lost his limbs, or why I bothered to keep just the torso.
>>10239847I thought the "enemy" figures being robots cobbled together from car parts was a neat idea
>>10239849biker mice was excellent.. but the sequel was bad, I can't possibly think a reboot will be any good. It relies on too many things that people either can't or aren't allowed to have anymore.
>>10239850the word you're looking for is 'plastron' my good chum>>10239858whoa, i was not aware of this. i always found the crash test dummies pretty lame, but these guys I would have been interested in.
It's over bros. Movie is going to be as bad as Rise. At this point they might as well remove Ninja from the title. Splinter is going to be some homeless bum that watch some Steven Seigal movies.
>>10239994Well yeah, we all figured. Nothing about it looks good.
>>10240013a few parts of it look just okay.what made me sure it was garbage is donny having glasses. yknow as in those things you can't wear while fighting.
>>10240055That's nonsense logic and an idiotic reason to automatically dislike something. Plenty of fictional action heroes and fighters wear glasses. If you're going to be that pedantic you might as well argue that turtles cannot speak english or walk bipedally.
>>10240168>Plenty of fictional action heroes and fighters wear glassesname one who wears them into combat
>>10240172Blade Bayonetta Johnny F.A.N.G. Carrie Kelly Wesker Cyclops Maes Hughes Hange Zoe Anderson uhhhhh there's plenty more chief, you want me to keep going?
>>10240213cyclops doesn't go into battle with his glasses on. and his glasses are made of ruby quartz, so he'd theoretically be okay even if he didi don't know most of those, but i know I hate bayonetta and especially her glasses. but her whole thing is that heavily stylized nu-anime thing anyway where nobody would be able to lay a finger on her, it's not like she gets punched in the face. this is ninja turtles. they're supposed to live in the real new york, fighting real humans and getting fists and shuriken thrown at them.
I think we're just getting figures of the new Turtle Ranger renditions not the Mutant Rangers
>>10240329Yeah, I'd be very surprised if they made any of the mutant rangers. With the turtles they can make one body and reuse it four times, looks like this time they don't even need unique helmets. With the rangers they'd have to make brand new individual sculpts for pretty much all of them.
>>10240329huh, new turtle ranger designs. are these based off of anything or is it a unique power they get in the crossover comic thing.. the energy weapons are kinda cool. looks like casey got himself some too somehow and an outfit that.. is also maybe half a ranger outfit?. also the turtles look too humanoid again.. and what would the premise even be for rangers mutating into ranger-suit-colored dinosaur-headed human-bodied guys?
>>10240344Unique power made for thisI guess they just got tired of the complaints thrown out about the MMPR colors not matching the Turtles
>>10240329I hate Power Rangers so much, sentai in general, for one because it's always recolors recolors recolors recolors. It'll be sad when they make everyone in this picture, but also a monkey's paw when they do.
hope you ordered one of those neca turtle vans, only 2 weeks last year to make an order so not many units and was a max of 2 orders.gunna be fucked buying this thing on ebay, very few listings and once the 2 cheap ones are gone its going to be $2k USD
>>10240222Cyclops has done battle wearing casual shades made of ruby quartz (ie, not his iconic monovisor) plenty of times. And that's just talking the comics, he also did it in the movies, and if memory serves, even the 90s cartoon.Whether or not you know all of these is irrelevant anyway. The point is, there are plenty of characters who fight with glasses on. Your assertion was incorrect, and it is still a dumb hangup to have when you already have 100 completely unbelievable fantasy elements going on already.
>>10240373then those characters are wrongpeople who say "fantasy elements mean X doesn't have to make sense" are the worst kind of fans.
>>10240338You under estimate the sellabilty of anything MMPR. They're already remaking the team as deluxe and it's going to sell out. The original figures are the only ones that get higher prices in aftermarket.

Another haul. Man, I've been having so much damn fun collecting this line. And I've gotten so many figures for cheap too. Most of the figures I've gotten recently I've only paid $3 or $5 for at my local shops. I would've thought people would be trying to scalp these guys just because they're old, but I'm happy that hasn't been the case.I'm also surprised at how much I like some of the gimmicky figures. I really love the Head-Dropping guys, and the flipping guys are real fun too. Sucks that the Wacky Action features don't work as well as they probably used to, and I can't test out my Talking Mike without his voice strips, but they're nice sculpts regardless.
>>10249968Always amazing when they still have any of their original weapons
>>10249968>I would've thought people would be trying to scalp these guys just because they're old, but I'm happy that hasn't been the case.oh those people are out there. Just go look at some tmnt lots on ebay. You have people with commons, in a lot of 8, with no weapons, missing hands and legs, trying to get $75. most of the figs are common as dirt. They made a lot of them. They kept pumping out the first wave for most of the run. And even after the show ended, KBToys were still ordering them and they came on a generic card. The only really rare ones are the weird side characters in the last few waves. Like the Cobra guy. see pick related. This was the card they were using when KB was still ordering wave 1 figs well into the series.
>>10250076found this guys post if you want a glimpse at just how many times playmates rereleased basic characters into newer waves. Its kind of nuts. Hard to imagine a modern toy company doing this to this level. https://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showpost.php?p=1823038&postcount=5
>>10250097Kenner Star Wars did it, which was what ruined me for modern lines. The "Collect Them All!" mantra, where you could get them all even as a late-comer, because they were toys and they wanted you to play with them. I absolutely hate these FOMO pushing sales tactics and limited releases. Especially fuck the SDCC exclusive nonsense.
>>10250076>They made a lot of themI still remember the wall of TMNT figures at..I think it was Wal-Mart or K-Mart...but it's when I bought the on card Krang's Android Body figure. I had stopped buying TMNT at that point, but I always loved the android body look. So that was the last TMNT figure I bought of the vintage line, when it was still in stores. Still have it too, complete.

SpeekyGeeky is doing a new interview with Trevor. A time stamp list of the video "leaked" and got removed. They'll be discussing Ult/ April and some other goodies like the Dimensional Portal, accessory pack, and it looks like we're getting Tiffany (Burne's plaything) and Aunt Aggie (April's aunt).

>>10251126>Aunt AggieFuck yeah!!! The toy I always wanted as a child!

>>10251135randy doesn’t like feet
>>10250107>I absolutely hate these FOMO pushing sales tactics and limited releases. Especially fuck the SDCC exclusive nonsenseI have a feeling what we have now with FOMO is deliberate. I think the higher price tags are part of it too. 5 years before this started, there was talk of tiered pricing. Where essentially you charged more in richer areas to richer people and had products just for your wealthy customers. I have a feeling Hasbro probably met with a consultent years ago that pushed this and hasbro bought into it. That is why we are seeing these price hikes and then stuff go to sale real quick. $25 marvel legends and then suddenly target has them for $7. To us it looks like bad business. But to Hasbro and target it is deliberate. They made their big money off the people who paid $25. Then they make a little less on the people paying $7. The FOMO part comes from the fashion industry. It gets you to pay the $25 now. Because you dont want to miss out. Lego was the big case study with this. For a while, new old lego sets would be worth more than gold per weight. Why? Because they would end runs on kids as they got new licences. End the licence, then push it out of the stores on clearance in January. Like the old Avatar the last airbender temple kit is now worth like $350. That was a $30 kit at release. Exclusives are part of both FOMO and tiered pricing. And stores like it because it gets people in their stores, ideally. hasbro has bet too much on all of this an almost fucked themselves. Covid fucked them hard. Its really hard to put into words just how much hasbro stock went to overstock stores last year. I went to a lot of Ollies and similiar stores last year and towards christmas some stores had as much if not more toys than walmart or target. Just walls and walls of it at 75% off. I remember one shelf having like 300 talking baby yodas at $8 each. Those are suppose to retail for $28
>>10250139>yeah it's particularly dumb because it only benefits scalpers, not the company selling the shitwalmart thinks it helps them. But whomever does ordering and works with Hasbro must be asleep at the wheel. Sure, all those cosmos flew out of the stores. They got guaranteed sales. But that was one figure in a box of 8. Why did they order so many remold blurs? So many beast wars recolors? What made Walmart think any of those exclusives would sell well? and why order like 100 of them for every store?
>>10251126>Tiffany (Burne's plaything) and Aunt Aggie (April's aunt)lol, they are so going to pack Aggie with Tiffany because they know a lot of guys are going to shell out for Tiffany. Also, what are the odds that Tiffany gets some slight changes and we get a release of ravishing reporter April?

>>10251605huh. everyone says like, every product in california is expensive and every product in alabama is cheap. because otherwise alabamians wouldn't be able to afford diddly squat on what they get paid. i thought the whole thing about online shopping is that, for once, there and only there, prices are the same nationwide.
>>10251627>huh. everyone says like, every product in california is expensive and every product in alabama is cheap. because otherwise alabamians wouldn't be able to afford diddly squat on what they get paid. i thought the whole thing about online shopping is that, for once, there and only there, prices are the same nationwide.someone from cali can step in, but I'm pretty sure target has universal prices for toys. I think its food, gas and some clothes that are higher in cali.
Toys R Us used to do higher prices in more affluent areas. It was their "bump up" program.
Pizza time
>>10251703i mean it's just common sense. if people make more money at their jobs, for example if they work at target, then they need to charge more for the products at that store. that's basic economics. The secret is realizing we all benefit when all the numbers go up. sort of. the values, not the numbers, that's just inflation.>>10251710ahhh do take pics. I feel bad that I didn't.

>>10251812>when I first got em they were outside in the cold for a whileThat might have been it. They didn't feel cold but the familiar squishiness is coming back as I fiddle around.
anyone else kinda feel bad having such a big expensive collection and not playing with them often? There's just something about figures in general, they don't wanna stand, their shelf arrangements are always a hair away from total collapse, their joints always feel right on the brink of breakage, and weapons are really hard to move in and out of hands. At my old place I used to at least grab a zoid and take it into the bathroom every other day and fuck around with it. and a lot of those had broken motors.

Nothing to speak of so far. Ult. April is in a VHS style box, comes out this year. Comes with nearly all the old one's accessories.
>>10251126>>10251127Welp, no pics of the ultimate April. What a disappointment.
The Dimensional Portal is being sold by itself. Has lenticular cards for different portals.
>>10253750that's actually kind of cool. good prop
So there's not actually Tiffany or Aunt Aggie happening. They have digital sculpts that they use for the props (photos etc). Trevor explained that the majority of the figures were "never going to happen" though, and then they end up happening because the sets keep selling so well. So who knows what the future holds.
>>10253779sorry help me out. in what way do these mockups of figures they have no intention of making.. assist in the creation of props or photos?
>>10253786Cause they can pose the render for a photo that is then included as a framed photo or something with other characters. It's just something one or two of the artists put together real quick. Now, in the future, they COULD use them for a real figure if necessary.
>>10253792Oh okay, when a figure comes with a prop that shows another character in a photo or something like that....... but why wouldn't those just be screencaps from the show / 2d drawings approximating them? why would you spend the money making a whole model? the photo accessories aren't photos of cg models, right? like the TV with April on it shows a drawing of her..
>>10253805I think a lot of the time it's because they wouldn't be able to get a clean enough shot without having to doctor the image some anyway. Without some clean rip of the cartoons, it'd be kinda fuzzy/blurry. Plus this way they kind of fit within the "world" of the toys.
>>10253807i would like to see some examples of these, I thought I'd been paying good attention to the toon accessories because they make me smile and remind me of the old days
So not a ton of news or reveals. The interview was filmed near the end of last year.
>>10253812There's a photo of Tiffany that came in the Channel 6 pack, that's that Render up there lit to look like a toy. The photo of the handsome news anchor is another one, the upcoming April Ult. has the Aunt Aggie digital sculpt used as a photo for her. And nooot quite the same, but this painting of a cheese was in an episode for 2 seconds, so they had one of their artists copy that and now it's going in the accessory set that's coming out this year.
>>10253813interesting paintjob for a comics figure..>>10253818yeah see that's more what I remember. I don't recall seeing those renders in photos. very odd.
>>10253813triceraton paint deco looks awesome. just makes fugitoid look so awful in comparison. hope they re-release utrom and fugitoid with more impressive deco.
>>10253750Blessed
>>10253918Are you high? The Fugitoid looks exactly like he did in the comics.
>>10253929Way to out yourself as not a Mirage comic fan, IDW nu-fans need not apply.
>>10253779Gay. I got my hopes up.
>>10253944You've never read a Mirage comic in your life.
>>10253929>being this retardedthe paint deco is literally drawn by 4 year old sweat shop slave labor and it shows. no finesse at all.
>>10253733What is this? They're kinda interesting, I sorta want them because they're so weird.
>>10253813This looks unbelievable. And judging by the Utrom, he's fucking massive. Zog was always my favorite, I thought we would never get a good toy of him.
>>10254167I think the jaw could have been hinged further back though, with maybe some cheek stretch flesh in between that's attached to the bottom jaw. but maybe this is about right for a tricera I dunno. i'd have to see how he looked in the comics again
>>10254185Triceraton mouths aren't much like triceratops mouths. They have very human-looking teeth arrangement, and from what I've seen, aren't really drawn with that cheek stretch bit, even when their mouths are wide open.
>>10254205well then it should have just been further back. maybe. to me the hinge looks slightly too far forward. or maybe the hinge shape just looks awkward.
>>10254224Oh yeah, I agree with that. It could have looked better. I'm not really unhappy with it either though, it could have been worse too.
