Last thread was a nice little time, even hit the bump limit. Received anything exciting recently you want to share? Modern, vintage, whatever you got, let's see it.

Best Buy was having a sale on some Star Wars Black Series figures so I picked up Ahsoka from The Mandalorian. She wasn't a priority but I decided fuck it, it's $17 and I ended up liking it more than I expected to.
>>10019922They seem to nail the faces, more often than not. Sometimes they're a little derpy but the resemblance is there.
Started a new job about a month ago after over a year of being out of work. Indulged a little as a reward and finally got the 4 Inch Nel Classic Mega Man. I missed out on it back when it released because of money issues and it's only gone up in value over time, but luckily I was able to find one for a good price. He's definitely my favorite of the line so far, those chunky boots and joints just feel so much more solid than the others.
>>10020336It was probably you who got it off Manda before me, fuck you
>>10020343I bought it from a Japanese eBay seller for $98 actually. Gave up on using Manda to find it because they were always sold out by the time I'd find the listing.
>>10019839I bought some Imaginext Batman and DC figures. They are fun to play with. I even ordered some more.I think Imaginext, although it is a line for young kids, is actually pretty great. Good quality, durability, and good designs. Their normal lines like pirates and stuff are rad. I get the blind bags stuff on ocassions.
I decided to buy a few Robocop Ultra Police figures on a whim. I picked up Nightfighter Robocop because I purchased him at Children's Palace when I was a kid. I also picked up the main villains I had from back then: Dr Macnamara, who I remembered was an evil scientist who had turned himself into a cyborg, and then the strange echo villain Toxic Waster.
>>10023245A pic I snagged off of ebay of Nightfighter Robocop
Saw the Goliath neca figure on discount so I picked it up. I know nothing of the source material but it's a really cool monster design.
>>10019945I’d like to nail her face if you catch my drift
>>10023249Oh shit I used to have this.
Ss86 slag and ss84 perceptor, really happy since I've been eyeballing these guys for quite awhile
Is this Mortensen doing Gunpla shopping? that's pretty cool. Personnally i'm waiting for the Zero Two Nendo, should ship soon
Yeah.. you may be asking 'what are you doing with a crusty old figma like that,' but I've been meaning to pick this one up for a while now. I used to go to anime conventions in the late 2000s/early 2010s, and I swear, fucking everyone had this figure. It was like a rite of passage or something. All my friends had one. I had one too! But you know how life is, and 10+ years later she is no longer among the living. Saw Mandarake was selling her brand new for less than 20 USD, so I got it without a second thought. For me, this figure sort of embodies the culture of those late 2000s/early 2010s anime conventions I went to. Wasn't all too long ago, but it makes me a little nostalgic all the same. Good times. That being said, these packages were less /toy/ related than I thought. I guess the other package I was anticipating will arrive later in the week.
>>10026993I never had her, but I get exactly what you mean. She was the first figma that my group of friends got, and it pretty definitively changed our collecting habits. If you went to anime conventions in 2008-2012, they were inescapable. There was an energy to that time. I miss it too.
Picked this up this weekend. No accessories but was excellent condition.
>>10026993>brand newis she sticky at all?
>>10019839This past month I have gotten the Haslab Razorcrest, the mission fleet razorcrest, Lego razor crest, hotwheels and polish limited edition lego razor crest, etc etcthen I got about 25 TVC and 6 BSIll take a pic afterI'm so overwhelmedI also got all the MGSquadron coming in the mail as wellI don't know how this happenedI haven't really bought toys recently, I enjoy the odd gachapoin and blindbox here and there but some weird fucking nostalgia kick in me just got me buying "action fleet" and figures i used to see as a kid and then some that ive always wanted and couldnt get like obiwan, mace, yoda, because i didnt know shit as a kid going toy huntingthis was the biggest haul I have ever done and my closet looks like a motherfucker. I need to find the time to open all these, one thing for sure I am as excited as a pig in shit. I did end up opening 1 MGS and 2 TVC and im blown awayThis is going to be extremely fun
>>10027011Nope. Right as rain. >>10027001>2008-2012Listening to some of the culture and convention favourite songs that came out during that time really gives me that shotgun blast of strong memories.https://youtu.be/JIkNu15R5dU
>>10027008Awesome pick up, Major Disaster is my favourite of the Toxic Avengers, I hope Super7 make him in the future
just got a metamoroid lulucowould have gotten her nendoroid but I like her space suit more than her school uniform
>>10027181forgot the pic
>>10026991same for me last month, everything from 3-4 months came the same fucking week
Got this the other day, the gattling gun is so big holy shit
>buy figures from 1999>packaging is essentially useless to keep>don't want to throw it away because it feels like discarding a piece of historyI have issues.
Had to get her friends too.. didn't want her to get lonely.
>>10030263cute, be sure to show us them together sometime
>>10030316Sure thing. Would have done so sooner but these gashapon also came in the mail and I've spent the last hour messing around with them. I'm such a sucker for gashapon that come with a lot of accessories and props.
>>10027181>>10027183Oh shit, does he transform?
>>10027183Do it anon, show us her Justice Gun Morphing.
>>10030425>>10030429more like partsforming but yeah she does>>10030433FIGHT FOR JUSTICE
>>10030316I'll pose them more creatively later, it's getting late and I'm too tired now.
>>10030498You could always do poses from the OP
>>10030511I was planning on equipping them with baseball bats and tire irons and having them fight each other, but that's a better idea.
>>10030422Oh, these things! How fun.>>10030498Fuck man, this is giving me nostalgia for 2010 era /toy/.
>>100198393 sepreate orders that contained NECA figures all came at once today.Poster Art Thing and Bronx were my literal dream figures so I'm thrilled to have them.Simon Belmont is alright too though he shows his age and that face is one only a mother could love.
>>10031819Simon's face looks like he's been eating poop, and very messily at that. I wonder if you could alcohol some of that mess off?Very jelly of your two Bronxes. I'm still waiting on a preorder of him...he was my childhood fave so I'm very excited too.
>>10031819The Thing poster-man looks neat
>>10031829>Simon's face looks like he's been eating poop, and very messily at that.Gotta do something when you can't find any wall meat.>I wonder if you could alcohol some of that mess off?Probably but I don't trust myself to do it right so I rather leave him as is, flaws and all. Also I don't think it's as bad up close as it seems in that picture, but his face sure does look jacked up.>Very jelly of your two Bronxes. I'm still waiting on a preorder of him...he was my childhood fave so I'm very excited too.Great taste, Bronx was always my favourite too, I always ended up gravitating towards the team pet in cartoons and I always thought Bronx was cool so to finally have a good articulated figure of him has made me happy.I got two so I can use the other as a demon dog in my monster display while the other hangs out with Goliath and eventually Hudson.>>10031833It really is, the paint is really well done on it and though you can't see it in the picture and back has nice blue shading on it.I'm amazed this got made though, like I said it's a dream figure for me as I always wanted a figure or even statue of the poster art for The Thing as, for whatever reason, my mental image of the creature always default to that.I haven't tried the light feature yet but I'll probably do that over the weekend.
I'm not of fan or Roblox, BUT every now & then they pump out a figure that gets my attention.Just picked this little dude up.
>>10032770Love that he comes with all sorts of accessories & is customizable with different little heads.
>>10032774You can even add the little stuffed animals into the claw machine. The glass clips together to the body for a pretty good hold. The little claw at the top can move back & forth & spin.
>>10032778I really like the plug tail. Has decent articulation, but they are a bit flimsy but still manage to hold a pose.
>>10032770>>10032774>>10032778>>10032781very neat anon
It was miracle one Astrobots Apollo showed up on some shop. I don't know if I should get prototype Apollo or female Astrobots which are just no the same as these guys.
I got Heihachi from Storm, he's very stiff but he's great
>>10033556Oh I also got Pekora this month
Sometimes the joy you get out of something exceeds the insane cost you will spend to obtain it.
>>10034679I'm glad I'm either not american enough or not a big enough transformers fan to understand what on earth that text is about.
>>10033529>>10033549>>10033556>>10033647I'm surprised how well his face turned out, I remember storm having troubles with those but I haven't checked them out for awhile >I also got PekoraI'm still waiting on mine to ship from GSC, EMS has been back for a whole so I have no odes what's going on
Gremlin neca at target
Adding to my vintage Victory collection with Great Shot. I bought the Titans Return version as well because I really like the design, and I wanted a more poseable one.
Its been decades since I bought anything online but the moment I saw her on preorder I nabbed her and she just arrived yesterday. Hasbro should be ashamed for the figure they released for her.
>>10035186She even has the spider mode!
>>10035190She looks amazing.I always want to buy this type of figure, but knowing they don't transform always stops me.
>>10036081She does transform, very solidly, too.
Really liking this guy so far>>10035175Mine's hopefully on the way - can't wait!
>>10035175these are transformers?! I thought transformers could only be big coloured squares and rectangles
>>10038355Have you been in a coma since the 80s?
>>10038355Oh ye Anon, of little faith...
I just spend $2000 on almost a complete set of gem mint Beastwars Transformers + Metals + Transmetals I have the box sitting here now and it doesnt seem real.
>>10035175>arrived yesterday>very hairy Anon what is going on
I never thought I'd get a figure of this from a "what if Batman had Superman's powers" elseworlds comic from thirty years ago
>>10026993samejust picked up the winter uniform version for like 18 bucks
>>10039374Its really more a, "what if superman were raised by the Waynes" story. Not so much batman getting powers.
Both of these bad boys were 50% off at Big WEspecially nice since I'd been eyeing both of them for awhile but didn't really wanna pay retail
Finally got a third Reflektor for $15, so now I've completed both retail camera teams. Hope I'm not too late for the selects team being discounted at GameStop.
>>10039369 I have a cat and its a constant battle.
>>10039367Unpacked half the box. The sealed stuff is factory fresh minty
>>10039357who is this semen demen
>>10041043Be careful the gold plastic toys
>>10041043>>10041045>>10041046Wow, I kinda thought you were just joking, or memeing, especially with that pic you posted earlier. This is a really nice assortment of stuff. Mad jelly honestly, this was one of the greatest eras for TF toys and many of them still hold up surprisingly well today.
>>10041043>>10041045>>10041046Don't think I've ever been more jealous of someone on this fucking board before. Jesus christ.
>>10041047APC Toys Night Countess AKA 3rd party Airachnid
>>10041045I think you win the thread.
>>10019839Just got back from a local action figure convention, had a real good time. Brought $200 in cash, spent it all. Towards the end I had $30 left and found those R.L. Stine books, my girlfriend loves the Fear Street books so I picked up those and made it an even $30 with the Game Genie. Wish there had been more Gremlins since that is what I'm currently looking for. Not a lot of import figures either, but that's not too surprising, this region is pretty shitty for Japanese imports.
>>10034693I only have him and Rugal, but the face sculpting on both of them is incredible.I'm going to buy Fuuma soon so we'll see if his sculpting is good too.>EMS has been back for a whole so I have no odes what's going onMine was in the office for about two weeks, but it arrived in perfect condition and so did the box, so I'm not complaining.
>>10046336>get my super shredder>his torso is a little skewed >its set that way in product pictures>some versions aren't/dont have the 'defect' Whats the deal am I insane
>>10041075All of the vacuum metal pieces on these are flawless, not even going to transform anyone out of fear. Are any of these particularly prone? Theres a couple with pearl gold/bronze plastic but it feels and looks factory fresh. I believe most are the Tomy japanese releases >>10041339>>10041350>>10041352Im glad im not the only one that loves the designs and engineering on these, the ball joints put these ahead of all the non-transforming toys I had as a kid. There's still more sealed and loose stuff to unpack but I'd like to sort out the display properly and take some decent photos for you guys.
>>10046885If you don't know what Gold Plastic Syndrome is it's a thing where gold plastic is more brittle due to how it is made meaning transformers with it are prone to breaking.Out of the ones in your pictures Torca is the most dangerous as his legs, hip armor panels, tail hinge and sides are all gold plastic.I'd reccomend looking at the tfwiki article on it since it lists all the toys known for GPS and you can check to see what ones you should be careful with.
>>10046885>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcjAUN5Ssj8Be very, very careful with the gold ones, just look at poor Randy to see how easily it can all go downhill.
>>10046336I somehow only just got the wrath of khan reference now. Damn.
Never owned an S.H. Figuarts before. Saw this one for a little under 2800 yen, and since I like Sailor Moon a lot, I thought why not.
>>10039367need the story behind this excellent find
>>10050189Is that what they were referencing? Seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Would have been nice if the boxart somewhat aped the Star Trek II poster layout in that case.
>>10030422Where did you get these and why are their dicks so long?
Went to go pick up my lego opti and decided to peruse the sales a bit. Don't really care for capeshit but if something is discounted and looks cool I'll buy it
>>10051788That Shocker is actually one of the best Marvel Legends in recent memory. There's real love put into it, you can tell someone really cared. Good pull, especially on sale. I like everything else you got here too.
>>10051806I bought the hobgoblin the other day too. It seems like a fun line
>>10051788The display potential has gone through the roof here. An epic battle is about to commence
>>10041043>>10041045>>10041046BASED BASED BASED
One of life's little pleasures has to be opening up old, sealed toys without hesitation because they're so undesirable that you picked them up for an absolute song.>>10051788>Prime & OrchidNice! Got both on the way. Called up an old friend on a whim to see how he was doing; turns out he works for Lego now and can get me 50% off absolutely anything. Mind blown.
>>10053793He's a nice chonky lad
>>10053798Is this a good 'tank'? Absolutely not, but I kinda love it. Gives me Time Bokan vibes or something.
>>10019839Wew. Got like 3 months of toys from BBTS as well as some newly released stuff. It was a busy week for toys.
>>10051513Azumanga Daioh gashapon from Bandai, released around two decades ago. Can find them on any given Japanese website that sells novelty stuffs. I got the complete set for well under ten USD on the JP Yahoo Auctions.
>>10054560>herald thor OBSCENELY BASED
>>10053798>>10053800looks better than I'd expect
>>10054560George looks regretful
>>10057575He might have gone too far in a few places.
Got a couple new Ghibli figures. Nausicaa seems to be the only story to get cool toys, unless I missed something.
>>10057954I have no idea what any of these are, but they look cool
>>10056925I'm loving it! Helps that my expectations were rock bottom, but it's got a real fun presence in both modes, and the face-hiding step is a laugh to mess around with.>>10057954I saw these go up for pre-order and was very tempted - can't remember what made me hold back. They look great.Snagged some tickets for the Royal Shakespeare Company/Studio Ghibli/Joe Hisaishi/Jim Henson Creature Shop production of Totoro and I'm pretty psyched.
>>10019839Biggest haul I've had in some time. The P-40B Tomahawk is my introduction to these 1/18 fighter plane toys, but might've had an incredible stroke of luck happen because I was gushing about it to a friend of the family. Gonna be an nerve-wracking week or two waiting on some good news hopefully. The three Robot Spirits Banshee Gundams were impulsed on due to very cheap prices(worst case of cigarettes smell saturation I'll be dealing with though, and really roughed up boxes for the two that had them still) from a 'Book Off' type of store. With the Zeonography MP Qubeley, was 1,500 Yen brand new... An ancient figure sure, but the only way to get something articulated of the Mass Production Qubeley right now. Also funny to daisy-chain a connection to OP's pic, even if this Qubeley isn't one of the Fix Figurations hahaha!>>10026993>>10027041>>10030263>>10030498Can understand this picked up a Kagami winter uniform to pad out a deal last spring, and was nice to finally that one. Trying to just keep it to that one, goodness the prices are ridiculously low for Tsukasa sometimes hahaha! That said, just a heads up the light pink paint on the chest ribbons can peel/flake off real easy these days. Will try and find the figure sometime to post a pic, but it happens where the 'knot' is usually.>>10057954Nice, only had given serous thought to the Sentinel Ohmu up until recently, but how is the Formania Valley Gunship; and what's that other one to the upper right if you don't mind me asking?
These fuckers. Pretenders are the worst line but I have a soft spot for the goofy aesthetic.
I have returned from work to bring you the rest of the bundle, box number 2 and bonus. We're doing this live I have no idea whats in there except its beastwars related. The value of everything already exceeds the 2000 (AUD) that I paid for it. >>10051100The story is I was setting up a stall at a local toy fair to sell cards and the guy next to me gets these large boxes on the table with beast wars written in pen on the side. Im already getting a sweaty at this point. Were chatting and he's getting out more and more minty fresh sealed transmetal boxes and just plonking them down next to these boxes of loose figures>>10041046. I go apeshit. I get him to crack one of the boxes and show me, everything is mint, accessories, the lot. I didn't really care what the cost was at this point. He laughed and said at least 2k and id have to pay immediately expecting me to back out or haggle. Paid the man immediately. I got through one box before posting on /toy/ last time. Just go back from a remote callout. It's time.
>>10062442I also got to use his table space which was dope. Box is packed like the last one, he said there were some damaged ones in here but more were minty and complete.
>>10061221>vintage BlackshadowThat can't have been cheap
>>10062445a few damaged ones, sawtooth head is here though
>>10062452a few more chase figures I was after in here, everything is perfect with no wear at all. Not even dust, its like he's kept them in storage the entire time.
>>10062455Time for another layer
>>10062455the fucking magnaboss sworddont fucking tell me
>>10062446Nope, wiped out my monthly budget for robots in one go. No box, but it's essentially minty fresh and complete, so I couldn't pass it up.
>>10062456Another glorious layer, and there's still more to go. Stoked to be getting Drillnuts
>>10062464Big guns coming out at the bottom
>>10062469Was hoping Tripredacus might be in here but should be able to trade for one with this.
I've never made a better purchase. Time to try and fit all this into my display with the rest
>>10062471Almost forgot the special surprise. He really made an act of deciding if he was just going to keep this or not. He didn't consider the other 6 or so sealed box items that important I can't imagine what this would be.
>>10062478One of the sealed items was this beastwars returns Blackarachnia but the colours are weird.
>>10062484Some more of the boxed stuff; Optimus vs Megatron, Blackarachnia transmetal, Tarantulas, Cybershark, and Leo vs Galvatron
>>10062493No room to fit the Maximals
>>10062495Fucked up on my choice of lighting so the main cabinet is dark.
>>10062478whats in the fucking box anon
Deluxe Gunslinger Spawn so far is my favorite McFarlane revival figure. I would say this may go down as one of my top for this year.
>>10062498>>10062497>>10062495This is unbelievably fortunate if true, with a worthless pretend currency no less.
Here is pic with his pale horse
Total package is big, takes up lots of space on the shelf. But it's ace for a McFarlane.
>>10062538>>10062500>>10062508>>10062478Not sure what this is
>>10062612VS pack with a mountain
>>10062614Still sealed. Slightly underwhelming
>>10062612That's one of the lesser known playsets from the Japanese Beast War II line, it's rare but also not that great as the base is too small for the bots and the included transformers are the same as their western versions. There is another base which is the Maximals HQ called Niagara Base which is more popular as it comes with one of the main cast of the anime
>>10062629Here a picture of the two
>>10062484Blackarachnia is a limited release version, 3000 were made. You might have one of the 5-10% left sealed. Volcano playset is also very rare in that condition. You're in price discovery mode for almost all the sealed stuff, this is an incredible pickup.
>>10019839I got Claw Shredder today, since NECA is planning on making the two other clones I decided to track one down and got a good price on it (less than it would have been if I did buy the lootbox). That said this one is a floppy mess, the right arm is very loose on the top pin (as well as warped for how it packed but that was an easy fix) and the top knee pins are very loose too but all the other joints are fine.He can still hold poses and even hold his right arm up if you fully bend the elbow up halfway it falls down.Really unfornate because I've never had QC issues with NECA stuff before, I think I might have to try using that joint tightener I keep hearing about.Oh also I got the Shot Factory KR Kuuga box set.
>>10062852neca's cartoon shading is so aesthetically pleasing to me
>>10063263I don't like what they're doing with the Fred Wolf line, with the darker shadow tones. I think that looks weird. But the Mirage-style stuff with the heavy lining, that looks 100% amazing.
>>10062471Astoundingly cool haul. I think BW (and the resulting spinoffs) are some of the coolest Transformers toys ever made. They hit this sweet spot of discovering better articulation, and a more freewheeling toy industry that was willing to go in on weird plastic types, finishes, tons of paint apps, chrome, etc. It was just a fantastic time for designers to go wild, and they used that freedom to great effect.I got a lot of these figures only recently, so I am freshly excited about them. B'Boom is so goddamn cool, I just wish you could use his mutant head in his beast mode. Razorclaw is amazing, both in the VHS and standard translucent purple decos. Inferno is still great, as is Cybershark. Just so much goodness here. Even that weird Beast Machines translucent blue Primal has a lot of neat stuff going on, and a terrifying, skeletal-looking gorilla head.
>>10063263I feel the same as this anon when it comes to it >>10063483 I'm not really a fan of the two tone thing they've been doing with the cartoon figures though I don't collect those anyway. The way they've been doing the Mirage and Archie stuff though is nice though I'm iffy on Casey from in hand images I've seen but I'm holding out on a red shirt version later down the line so I'll see how I feel then.Claw Shredder has a lot of nice comic shading, the helmet is my favourite part and in hindsight I should have taken a picture of that. It's an overall nice figure it's just a shame about the floppyness on my one, hopefully I can fix it.
>>10062629>>10062635>>10062652Thanks for the info. I'm still struggling to find decent sales data on the volcano set. >>10063490Couldn't agree more; the level of articulation and quality of the vacuum metallic and clear pieces still looks and feels very modern while the overall design aesthetic encapsulates the best of the 90s for me. I haven't given a shit about any of the re-releases when the original figures are so good but Inferno looks phenomenal based on the China 'leaks'.
>>10063650If there's one thing the new figures haven't been excelling at its the headsculpts, I wouldn't be surprised if they're using the show models
>>10060408I got lucky and found the Formania one in a tiny Osaka toy shop for 12,000Y years ago. I would describe the design as a high detail re-work of the original design. It's sleeker, less chubby than it's movie depiction and has some mechanical features that I think are only depicted in the manga. Hayao Miyazaki apparently oversaw the design. I'll take some better closeups shortly. At its current price you pay mostly for the scarcity. The other gunship is the Sozo Bandai, part of the same line as the glider and Castle in the Sky robot. Mandarake wanted 10,000Y-12,000 for each of them and I think they're a bargain. The packaging is absolutely beautiful and the model itself is movie accurate with clear plastic scale characters. The gunship is the best value with a nice weighted display base, lights and the glider.
>>10063680Yeah I picked up kingdom dinobot thinking he had the metallic blue paint for the face but they went for two gold metallic strips on the legs for some reason. Inferno looks like he got treated better, I hope it's not a downgrade on release.
>>10063896She's significantly longer, I'd love to know more about the design. It might be closer to his design and concept drawings that were simplified for animation
>>10060408Sozo version has blue LEDs, animation accurate proportions and the folding wings. Formania wings don't fold at all surprisingly.
>>10062442Nice anon, sounds like you caught him off guard or he really didn't want to be there selling them to screaming children. Are you selling any? I'd be interested in bidding on most of these.
>>10063962I thrust my pelvis disapointinly at you.
>>10063888Not even MP dinobot has the metallic finish on the face, not sure why, he constantly has closeups in the show and it would look amazing.
>>10062471I'm jealous. Great find, anon.
FInally managed to pick up Lasstranaut! Came with the original shipping box and everything unopened
One of the weirder figures I've ever gotten. I have no idea what's going on with this nigga's spinal cord, it's like he's a reverse hunchback that makes him hard to pose in any kind of neutral way. Other than that he's pretty cool. I rarely ever buy loose figures, which sort of contradicts that I take everything out of the box anyway, but even so - got this one for dirt cheap and the only peculiar thing about it is that it smells faintly of like, root beer or cream soda hard candy. Yeah..
>>10066662The 1/12! I never did see how this one turned out, I've only seen the 1/6. Please post opened pics and your thoughts!
Anyone buy these little dudesI'm surprised how good it is Easy to buildSolid AFIf you gave It a good paint job. It would look pretty damn nice.
Found it for $8
To BE or not to BE!I also picked up another toy, but I left it in the car.
Surprisingly found this out in the wild for about $20.
>>10071173>>10071174Yeah, the Eva Frame stuff is pretty awesome, they turn out pretty big and are very poseable. It's my favorite kind of candy toy, a lot of fun in a relatively cheap package.I got the unit 02 Alpha and it's huge for a candy toy. Very impressive, the sculpting is very crisp and detailed, and it's fun to pose. The only downside is that it came with a LOT of stickers and they took forever to put on. But at least they don't feel cheap, and after burnishing them down with a spudger I doubt they'll peel anytime soon either.
>>10071249>>10071180Look how nice it can look all painted up. Truly a great toy, and I'd say the best overall option for this form, since the Revo and RD are both super expensive and don't look $80-100 better than this sculpt.
