Basically the vampire emotions attract animals that will go to the vampire or will meet the vampire where he is, without him having to call or even be conscious. If he vampire does not give a command or is unable to do so they will do their best to protect the vampire which will usually result in someone getting hurt. The second power is a obtenebration/animalism that creates animals made of shadows. They usually take the form of a pack of hellhounds but they can be anything. Both are usually used by npcs and in some games I have players purchase them instead of some high level powers (like getting this instead of possessing beasts.)

The worst part of your life is over and it's about you picking up the pieces in a strange new world. The first story arc in my game was helping to save a play two mortals were doing and then trying to invite all the local Changelings to it. Saying it like doesn't do justice to all the minor social politicking, character development and other applications of Changeling powers for what is a minor task at the end of the day. It made the pay off, where half the cities Changelings turned up and enjoyed the spectacle, all the more satisfying when a True Fae randomly comes up to the mortal performers after its done to congratulate them while every Changeling in the room shits their pants.You can do big epics with it too, like a pilgrimage to satisfy a Court Patron or winning the heart of a Goblin Queen or having to deal with a group of dreary old men who are hunting fairies. Some of the mechanics in it aren't as interesting as I'd like for conducting stories, such as oneiromancy / hedgespinning / a lot of pledgecraft, but even among those systems there's room to do really cool stories. I always interpret Lost as being fairly small and human in its stories, with politicking having a more 'positive' outlook than what you might find in Vampire.

All WoD stuff were to be done by outside studios like OPP, Mophidius or Hunters. They allowed those people to create stuff on their own again and that's what we get.
