Can I summon a Tiny creature (a crawling hand with animate dead for example) into an occupied square?
>2e>dual-handed assaultWhat's the point of this? Looks bad. Any maths on this?
>>88107829Eh if you're fighter is only attacking once a turn it seems fine,
>>881077211e or 2e?In 1e, excluding the special cases(certain abilities, creature riding on other, swarms. ..) two creatures cannot share the same square regardless of the size, and if tried the creature immediately gets ejected to nearlest open square. As far as I see, nothing prevents you from summoning stuff to occupied aquare though.
>>88107721I think yes cause they can occupy other creatures squares
2eHobgoblins are cool but their stat distribution is weird. What class is best for a Hobgoblin?
>>88107829You get the benefits from Two-Handing while having a hand open. It Combos well with Bastard Sword, going from d8 to d12 adds up as you get striking runes, not to mention the extra damage you get for using a weapon with the Two-Handed trait. You could do something like Dual-Handed Assault > Combat Grab > Dazing Blow to get use of the damage on your first hit and then get the benefits of the regular one-handed style.
>>88107913Are you the Anon who was building a hobgoblin fighter on /5eg/ like a few months ago? Some dude was posting like 3 times a thread, slowly shaping up his hobgoblin. Must've had decision anxiety or some shit because he was asking other Anons to pick his name too lol.
>>881078692eNothing I see in the rules prevents that
>>88108207No, I have never played 5e before. Hobgoblin fighter seems okay but I dont think the Int boost helps that class. So far the only class I can think of for 2e's Hobgoblin is a mutagenist alchemist.
>>88107913Anything that wants Int and Con. Stuff like Alchemist (lmao), Inventor or melee Investigator.
>>88107913You can always just go with the 2 free boosts instead of your regular ancestry boosts and flaws, which makes it a lot less of a hassle to deal with stat lines like that.
>>88107100I’m still kinda bothered that they didn’t have enough white people in the Mwangi Expanse. Sargava is right there, and are they telling me people don’t migrate or move?
>>88107044>TQ: Do you keep track of your date & holidays in your game? How?I keep track of everything, including time and how long people are in the dungeon for. Hoildays I'll be real I typically don't think to make any for my settings but seasons and the like I do. Just set a start date and slowly move forwards, tell players how the grand scale of world events are progressing every so often in town. Is the Northern Hobgoblin Empire getting more progress? Is that Drow Prinecess still marrying that Cannibalistic Wood Elf Prince? Are the Hobbits running out of milk or fresh Thri-kreen meats? Have some stuff planned and tie a few optional objectives or events to the world events, helps players believe it's a real world. Also as Gygax himself said: "You can not have a meaningful campaign if strict time records are not kept" Also 1 day out of game equals 1 day in game for downtime tracking. Your followers need their pay for the week, and your keep only makes so much money a week even when your managing it.

PF 1eI had a character death recently and I'm rolling up a new character. Right now I'm looking to a Dwarven Sorcerer with Empyreal bloodline at 6th level. I'd like to focus on enchantments and mind fuckery, with the "gimmick" being someone who is both a bastion of mental resistance and damn near immunity to illusion/enchantment, but who is adept at using these tools himself. Im going to play him kind of crazy, like the shouty homeless guy who insists he knows whats REALLY going on, and how he can "see the code" and everyone else is just sheep.Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fill out the build? Any suggested traits, feats, or some obscure combo out there?

They never can remain in the square if they do not have an extra ability to do so.
>>88111178>Tiny creatures use move to move into enemy square to attack, but immediately after the attack they will be ejected from the enemy squareagain this is completely wrong lmao, otherwise it would literally be impossible for anyone with a familiar to carry it around in a familiar pouch or have a fucking bird perched on your shoulder. you honestly have to be the biggest fucking nogames in the entire world to unironically try and say this shit with a serious face. http://legacy.aonprd.com/coreRulebook/combat.html#table-8-4-creature-size-and-scaleTiny, Diminutive, and Fine Creatures: Very small creatures take up less than 1 square of space. This means that more than one such creature can fit into a single square. A Tiny creature typically occupies a space only 2-1/2 feet across, so four can fit into a single square. 25 Diminutive creatures or 100 Fine creatures can fit into a single square. Creatures that take up less than 1 square of space typically have a natural reach of 0 feet, meaning they can't reach into adjacent squares. They must enter an opponent's square to attack in melee. This provokes an attack of opportunity from the opponent. You can attack into your own square if you need to, so you can attack such creatures normally. Since they have no natural reach, they do not threaten the squares around them. You can move past them without provoking attacks of opportunity. They also can't flank an enemy.Do you think people riding horses are shunted off their mount at the end of every turn? There is no rule about being "immediately ejected" from an enemy square anywhere, there's no gravitational field that automatically moves people who've already used their move and standard action away.
>>88111227It is clearly spelled out in the combat rules>Ending Your Movement: You can’t end your movement in the same square as another creature unless it is helpless. And Tiny exception only speaks about moving through the squares of bigger creatures.
>>88111319what part of "specific beats general" is so hard for your nogames ass to understand lmao. tiny creatures occupy less than one square, that rule doesn't apply. You can literally see this illustrated in the above text about tiny creatures, since it specifically calls out someone with a 5 foot reach has no problem attacking their own square (which will happen every time you fight a tiny creature entering your square and ending its turn in your space because it has a 0 foot reach)Or look at all the tiny creatures who grapple enemies when attacking or have the grab trait on their attacks, do you think they somehow get forcibly ejected from their space at the end of their turn? https://www.aonprd.com/MonsterDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Varisian%20Hagfishagain, shit like familiar pouches would be literally nonfunctional with your retarded ruling since you and your own familiar wouldn't be able to share squares, since you'd be "ending your movement" in the same squares as one another constantly. https://www.aonprd.com/EquipmentMiscDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Familiar%20satchelplease for the love of god actually play the game instead of arguing like a moron

>>88111902the part where it says 'is destroyed' and returns to unlife.seems analogous to a PC dying and getting Raised - wouldn't that drop an ongoing Dominate effect on that PC?
Why is this Goblin dressed like Ezren?
>>88112026>seems analogous to a PC dying and getting Raised - wouldn't that drop an ongoing Dominate effect on that PC?Depends. Technically speaking "Dead" is just a condition;>Dead: The character’s hit points are reduced to a negative amount equal to his Constitution score, his Constitution drops to 0, or he is killed outright by a spell or effect. The character’s soul leaves his body. Dead characters cannot benefit from normal or magical healing, but they can be restored to life via magic. A dead body decays normally unless magically preserved, but magic that restores a dead character to life also restores the body either to full health or to its condition at the time of death (depending on the spell or device). Either way, resurrected characters need not worry about rigor mortis, decomposition, and other conditions that affect dead bodies. And nothing in it says it drops ongoing spell effects (except soul affecting because the soul leaves from the body). However "Destroyed" is not a defined Condition, so it is up to your GM to interpret what it means in this case and what it does to ongoing magical effects.

>>88116114there's no easy way to get dex to damage on guns that doesn't involve way too many levels in other classes that will delay your alchemist discoveries, alchemy extracts, and sneak attack. you can get INT to damage on guns with kirin style and kirin strike which is potentially more useful as an alchemist, targeting touch AC means you're almost always gonna be hitting anyways. needing IUS is an annoying tax but kirin style and kirin strike will work with guns. https://aonprd.com/FeatDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Kirin%20StrikeThere's also the gunchemist as an option, but you don't get sneak attack like vivisectionist and your melee potential will be eviscerated as a result and you specifically wanted someone who can stab or shoot. https://www.aonprd.com/ArchetypeDisplay.aspx?FixedName=Alchemist%20Gun%20Chemistfor a weapon you can just enchant it with agile, for the guns I don't think you need dex to damage especislly if your character concept is a switch hitter who won't even be shooting things most of the time

>>88116837>mfw I can have my little pet robot lizard transform into a medium sized fucking dinobot
>>88114655The fun thing about the "trans" characters is you just smudge it up a bit and suddenly you erase it. The one on the cover of the Lastwall book? What are you talking about, always been a woman.Weird sex-changing juice that somehow is A. cheap enough anyone can buy it and B. Has absolutely no side effects? Snake oil from a huckster, probably Succubus juice.
>>88117082Tbh I think having trans characters is more harmful to the trans community than not having it. Just think about it for a second. In a world where potions/magic can make you 100% the other gender and are easy to obtain, why would you even bring up the fact you used the item? It'd be like running around telling everyone you meet about the wonders of bread, and how bread saved your life. In such a world, why would anyone care that you ate bread? Bread didn't help you complete some extraordinary task, it's just something you happened to eat as part of your rations. If their backstory is unironically "my family shamed me for eating bread", then just think of the implications of that reaction to bread. It means that despite being common and cheap, there is something inherently wrong with eating bread for that culture.True inclusivity would mean that bread exists and is common, and that bread would be enjoyed casually like any other food/drug should the user wish. Who cares if NPC1 was born one way or another and ate bread once if everyone is just cool with the fact NPC2 spends their weekends going through every whore in town tripping balls on bread? Shit, brothels would straight up offer bread as a new experience for their clientele.[/Late night ramble that is probably barely coherent]
>>88117082Why is a cheap potion in a world full of alchemy and magic unbelievable to you?>>88117250Trans people believe in a separation of gender and sex. Plenty want to pursue physical transition to an extent so that they stop being perceived as the wrong gender by other people, and many have dysphoria that causes them to want to be rid of heavily-gendered things like breasts or a cock and balls... but plenty are content just swapping clothes/pronouns and calling it a day.So not every trans person would just "take the potion/get the surgery," and that's before getting into things like non-binary genders. What sex organs should a Rivethun, the PF dwarven third gender, have? >>88117250nah it's perfectly coherent. they want to have their cake and eat it too, they want their self-inserts to have instant and perfect access to easy magical gender bender magic that straight up turns dudes into woman and women into dudes with functioning sex organs and the ability to have children........but they ALSO want to have their victim complex on display and their self-inserts need to have being trans as their entire identity and personality and have outrage-bait persecution that doesn't make any sense because if nobody gave a shit they wouldn't feel special. It's funny how the conversation went from >Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity? HAHA what a hilarious cursed item, Jack the fighter is now Jill until he gets the curse fixed! lmao! to>wow this item is kind of messed up and problematic and makes light of people with body dysmorphia for shits and giggles, plus forcibly gender bending your players as a joke is kind of magical realmyto now, in the year of our lord 2023>IF YOU DON'T HAVE EVERY CORNER STORE PHARMACY SELLING GIRDLES OF MASCULINITY/FEMININITY SUCH THAT EVEN LOW LEVEL NPCS CAN BUY THEM FOR THE COST OF A COUPLE HORSES YOU ARE A FUCKING BIGOT AND DON'T BELONG IN THE HOBBY!like lmao ok bro. it reminds me of how loving cock went from "gay people can't help liking dicks the same way straight men can't help liking tits, they're born this way and it's impossible to change so deriding people for an immutable characteristic like race or sex isn't cool" to "ACTUALLY, YOUR GENITAL PREFERENCES ARE JUST THAT, PREFERENCES, AND IF YOU REFUSE TO SUCK GIRLDICK YOU'RE A BIGOT, GAY MEN WHO REFUSE TO FUCK "MEN" VAGINAS ARE UNDERMINING THE MOVEMENT AND DON'T BELONG. LESBIANS WHO DON'T WANT TO GET PREGNANT ARE TERFS!" honk honk. if magic gender bender is 100% easy and accessible, people just wouldn't fucking mention it, the same way someone who got a limb or eye replaced with Regenerate wouldn't STILL make being a cripple their entire identity.
>>88117359>the same way someone who got a limb or eye replaced with Regenerate wouldn't STILL make being a cripple their entire identity. This is much better than my bread analogy.
>>88117371That also brings up my issue with the overabundance of "accessibility" items. Here is how I view things, either the magic to fix it is cheap and it's rich people who choose to replace limbs/have overly elaborate clockwork wheelchairs because it's fashionable. Or getting the magic to fix it is prohibitively expensive, and the plebs are shunned and mocked by the upper class for having to resort to replacing lost limbs with mockeries of the real thing.Plus, no a wheelchair that lets you adventure should not be available with Level 1 amounts of gold. Especially one which can somehow climb a ladder.

>>88112962The whole Sargava thing is kind of hilarious if you think about it. Sargava was the last remnant of pre-devil Cheliax that settled horrible swampland on the coast of Garund and the only people they kicked out of the region were demon worshipers. It's people mostly kept to themselves worshipping Abadar and outside of a few examples got along with the locals (Serpent's Skull even had the faction representative for the government be a native Garundian). Then the moment this little nation of like 20,000 people including natives stopped being dirt poor thanks to looting Saveth-Yi hordes of "locals" move in and take over.
>>88118152Yeah again, it doesn't say that. It says their spirits don't match their bodies, not that the mismatch is gendered. It could be they have Archon souls or something? Or even like, elven souls in dwarf bodies, and draw power from the mismatch. Nothing in it says gender.

>>88120126This is you showing your own bias and what you think about, because Asian porn is crazy popular. You're self reporting.
>>88120305>because Asian porn is crazy popular. Are you being deliberately obtuse? Within the context of American society, "interracial" means Black Man White Woman. It's so ubiquitous that it's pointed out every time it happens in the media with an eye-roll. What's *popular* isn't always the same as what's *projected.* The Average Joe might love Asian porn, but whenever an interracial relationship is shown in a supplement, or trading card, or commercial or any number of commercial product, we all fucking know what it's going to be. It's why the argument >>88120182 is so exhausting; the burden of proof is on you to prove that it's not going to be an analogy (or explicit) for transgenderism, because that's what American culture (especially tabletop culture) is laser-focused on.
>>88120401>the burden of proof is on you to prove a negativeNo? Dumbass, they literally don't mention gender. It's just you. You are making a claim out of nowhere.

>>88120992>when all I'm saying is Rivethun aren't trannies. You can continue to blubber about how that "doesn't technically mean they're transsexual" until the cows come home, but anyone reading this will know the truth of it.
>>88121089Except, as the literate people here know what you do not, they wrote Rivethun long before trannies were a culture war topic and before they were even publicly talked about. 1eI was wondering, would letting powerful archetypes for regular monk such as Zen Archer, Tetori and MoMS also apply to UC monk break things or not?For now mostly the Tetori since a player is looking to go wrestler
>>88123809As always, depends on the table. My table has characters of wildly different strengths and effectivenesses, and it's never a problem for us. If you have a more competitive problem, it may be for you.
>>88123833they like optimizing their own characters but it's fairly casual and not competitiveonly thing that might be is someone accidentally going to far and usurping another player's niche, but sofar just talking about it has resolved it without issue
>>88123809an unchained zen archer is going to be a strong martial character, but at the end of the day that's all they are. a martial archer with no spells and who is heavily penalized for multiclassing out of monk due to how their features scale. >>88124015>sofar just talking about it has resolved it without issueAtta boy. Be adults, it solves everything.
>>88123809Regular monk is badly outdated and Paizo did not bother to print enough archetypes for UC Monk. I'd say let them use regular monk archetypes as they like and just rethink what abilities archetype replaces in UC.
>>88107044bros, I'm still trying to port guildmaster's guide to ravnica to 2e and having trouble coming up with ideas for the playable minotaurs' racial feats.I've been borrowing features from other races that don't exist on the plane(as an example, I borrowed Stonecunning for the Loxodon due to GMGR touting them as artisans/builders). Our usual GM suggested I might be able to borrow from the Kashrishi, but the only thing I've really thought would fit and be poachable was Community Knowledge- reflavored as Ancestral Knowledge- and their Horns attack.Any thoughts? I'll limit it to times where the action I lose to drawing the weapon wouldn't be that impactful otherwise, like I'm not gonna skip out on a doctor's visitation on a grievously wounded ally because I want to do a cool gunshot. I want to make a magic blaster of sorts in 1e, but I'm not sure where to start. The idea is that I create magic "magazines" with charges that can be attached to and used through the blaster. The idea is that each magazine would imparts different effects to the blaster. For example, one "ammo" could cause the blaster to shoot magic missiles, another to shoot blasts of cold icicles, and another to produce a "flamethrower" burning hands effect. Perhaps more mundane items, such alchemists fire, could power the item.Should I design this as multiple wondrous items, or a firearm modeled after the dragoon firearms?
>>88126698No, someone had an autistic fit at a new player, and I told him off for having bullshit standards. Fuck you.
>>88127502Spellslinger wizard archetype, ez. The entire idea is built for you already. I recommend taking defensive and utility spells instead of damage spells, because you can always burn them to put the magic into the gun for damage when you want to.
>>88126434It doesn't do much for you, and you're correct that if you try to use the focus spells it's going to play hell with your action economy, effectively turning it into a choice between using a focus spell and attacking unless you're fighting something that lets you use your free DaS rolls. I'd almost say the passives are better--greater darkvision is nice, and so is Deny Advantage. That being said, it's not like investigators have a ton of great class feats on their own list, so taking an archetype isn't some big investment for you.Shadowdancer does come online at a kind of awkward time for you though, since you abso-fucking-lutely want Suspect of Opportunity at 10, which is when you would otherwise take your first Shadowdancer feat. That being said, it's cool, and you're not giving up a ton to get it, so sure.

>>88127579>>88127891I heavily disagree.Having 4 opposite schools, no cantrips, no arcane bond (no familar or 1-day free spell), and no spell scroll isn't worth the trade off for a firearm. He also doesn't get the ability to quick clear it unless he spends a feat on it, or he'll be risking blowing up his gun on every 1 he rolls, or 20 if he throws a spell through it with a save if he doesn't spend a hour repairing it.Plus the range feats he'll need and the minuses from those on a 1/2 bab will be rough.Spellslinger has cool features, but the trade off feels too much for what it is trying to do.

How come more people aren't talking about how easy Pathfinder 2e is to run? I mean holy shit. This game is so tight. I hear people bitch and moan about how the game is supposedly "crunchy" when the only thing players need to know is that they can take three actions a turn and read the description for the damn feat they just picked at character creation. Wow, such a hard game to learn! Holy fuck it's pissing me off. "I'm going to move up to the orc, try to trip him, and stab him while he's knocked down." I guess flanking is now considered a super advanced crunchy rule that players are too stupid to ever figure out? I don't even know what to say.

>>88136319Because it'd be unbalanced. This is 2e, that should be a basic inference whenever a rule makes little sense logically.
>>88135949>but if he's using alchemist cartridges like he shouldHe should be using Spell Cartridges - feat
>>88136300Its crunchy compared to 5e which is the mainstream alternative. Its easy to prepare for because its built as a tabletop wargame first and an rpg second with combat and campaign altering magic being completely gutted.
>>88136453Not him, but iirc 1e had the same shit in the different movement maneuvers. Like bruh, if I can't chuck people into pits or fire why even bother?
>>88136319Guessing it's because you're attempting a sort of feint with the intent of causing someone to move in an attempt to dodge it. iirc 1e had a whip feat to reposition guys with whip cracks, as an example to help illustrate that repositioning is not the same as grappling/grabbing someone and shoving them. If faced with the decision of maybe getting hit with an attack or literally killing myself by jumping into fire or pit, I'm gonna stand my ground and trust my armor/shield/dexterity to do its job.

>>88114599That really depends on your friends more than the rule book anon. That said, the whole reason I won't touch 5e with a ten foot pole is that the whole player base is basically gay or tranny furries at this point and advertising that game locally is almost as bad as posting your phone number on a gay dating website. No thanks.

Been thinking about taking the Herbalism nature bond in 1e for Druid, what are the best potions to make/feats to take to make the most of it outside of just using them as an infinite money glitch?
>>88120873For how long are you culture war fags gonna keep trying to push this narrative? I know you rightoids are desperate to make yourselves the victims in any circumstance you find yourself in, but maybe you shoud fact-check your stupid fucking schizoid theories before shitting up /tg/ with them. >1eI'm casting Allfood on a bunch of potion vials. logically this should remove the need to uncork and swing it, and I can just bite into it or swallow the whole thing right?
>>88140361In the interest of good faith, the post you linked is not where the "lmao paizo are retards who straight up deleted slavery from the entire game overnight to avoid being racist" mockery comes from. What you linked is in fact the much more toned down, PR friendly, sane-sounding version after Paizo walked back the original retarded response. The actual, original response is not that post. What people are more familiar with, and what they're making fun of, and what actually got news coverage and people looking at paizo like they were morons, was a comment posted by Erik Morna on Owen KC Stevens blog, which erik made in response to a complaint-filled anonymous letter he received from a freelancer, which Owen reposted on his blog. This dumb whiny open letter, which was literally just one guy fucking bitching, resulted in a massive kneejerk response from Erik Morna that everyone rightfully made fun of.You can try and be revisionist and pretend that the blog post never happened, and actually the very sane and not controversial "we're just bored of telling these stories and won't focus on them anymore" response is why people are mad, but in the interest of good faith I will correct you. Here's the original blog post and Erik's comment that everybody dunked on.https://owenkcstephens.com/2021/12/13/from-a-freelancer-an-open-letter-to-erik-mona/#commentsAnd here's the verbatim words that made everyone laugh at paizo, and which maybe YOU should """"fact check"""" yourself.>Going forward, we plan to remove slavery from our game and setting completely.Bonus points for him saying that having evil slaver enemies for players to fight and kill was an "ORIGINAL SIN" they're sorry to have committed. Lmao.
>>88140902>just one guy fucking bitching, resulted in a massive kneejerk response from Erik MornaIt still blows my mind that some people (or at least one person) take bitchy rants so seriously, that they decide to publicly announce their shitty knee-jerk overreaction without at least running it by at least one other person first.
>>88140902Why you faggots are so stuck of the whole slavery thing anyway?I don't really give a fuck if it exists or not in any setting. Seems really some murrican bullcrap sane countries give zero fucks about.

Either Erik Mona misworded what he meant and that messaging was clarified by Luis later on, or Mona had a kneejerk reaction and Paizo slightly course corrected in a more official stance later on. New to this. Say I want to make a sort of "Bow-Saint" in 2e. An old veteran who's honed his craft into singular and precise shots to deal maximum damage in individual strikes. What are my options?
>>88141947Precision ranger or monastic archer with one inch punch. If you can tolerate crossbows then sniper slinger is really good.
>>88141541the greatest contributor and fiercest advocate of the transatlantic slave trade was the kingdom of kongo, who became enormously wealthy capturing their neighbors and enemies and selling them to the portugese, and argued for exclusivity and a market monopoly, and after countries started abolishing slavery they went to great lengths to try and maintain its practice.
>>88141947>singular and precise shotsignore the other guy, you want to play fighter. nobody in the entire game is as accurate with a bow as a fighter is, meaning they have the best critical rate and highest accuracy. they also have access to the fighter-exclusive feat debilitating shot which is, besides one of the single best feats in the entire game, fits perfectly with your idea of a single powerful shot that cripples enemies. Slow is the best spell in the entire game. Debilitating shot is a longer-range slow that doesn't allow a saving throw and costs no resources to attempt and also deals full martial damage on hit.
>>88142255Fighter deals normal damage die spamming debilitating shot at 10.Monastic archer grabbing ranger dedication for gravity weapon and far shot rolls six dice and adds a 12 damage status bonus on their three action strike at level 10.Were not cutting cookies here, were dealing the most possible damage in a bow strike. But I'm glad the fighters guild is awake to allow me the opportunity to elaborate.
>>88117320>There's not an answer, because gender is made up bullshitFTFY
>>88125938>Is there some convenient suicide abilities around I could use if the baddie gets caught alive?Just use Continency.
>>88140899Uh sure. But the action to drink a potion inckudes the uncorking so I don't think you'll get a mechanical advantage
Would sahuagin capture a tiny 200 foot wide island with a fortified lighthouse on it? Or would they not even bother. I know they need to submerge fairly often but would they still find use in such an outpost? If not, what oceandwelling race would?
>>88143090Yes, to extinguish or destroy the lighthouse and cause shipwrecks.
>>88142272nothing stops you from taking gravity weapon as a fighter (in fact they get bonus feats to make archetypes even easier) and damage is useless if you can't hit. hitting on a 10+ and critting on 20 is also dogshit compared to hitting on 8+ and critting on 18-20, a 300% increase in crits is insane
>>88143090>If not, what oceandwelling race would?aquatic elves would use lighthouses since they still spend a lot of time on land and have sailors
>>88142462Gender is made up bullshit. It should be ignored and we should use only sex to identify people. Actually they should throw out the whole concept and just go back to gender meaning the same thing as sex like it did before that one pedo in the 60s decided to change it to better molest children.
>>88143167You fail your check to make an impression. The standard fighters guild tactics. But you do not grasp the synergy between getting six weapon dice and a spell that grants you two damage per die on your first strike in a round.A normal hit with one-inch punch actually does as much damage as the fighter criticals for anyway. One day you'll have system mastery that extends beyond roll a fighter. But you're 1000 years too early for that.
>>88143251>two damage per diean extra two damage per die is chump change and fucking irrelevant compared to automatically slowing enemies without a save (and you can still shoot them a second time since it's only 2 actions)the fighter's guild always wins.
>>88143251>unironically advocating for power attack in 2elol please go actually look at the math, power attack (and that's all one inch punch is, is power attack) is garbage and spending 3 actions on it is a joke
>>88143275Its very good if you can get aided and something like true target from an occult caster. Very very good.No one says maguses exploding things with spellstrike is terrible but that's basically what a three action O-IP is particularly if you abuse gravity weapon.Power attack is bad at first level because it lacks the above support and people only ever evaluate feats in their level bracket.>>88143266Optimization goal here is damage per bow strike. It's very nice to slow things, but we don't care.
>>88141947Skipping the Fighter Guild discussion since this is more a theme than a damage challenge, you probably better off as a Starlit Span Magus if you are going for "devastating yet powerful single Bow strikes". Especially if you can't start at Level 6, as Fighter can't snag Eldritch Archer 'til that point.Investigator with Archer archetype also makes a good "Fuck my turn economy, just hit 'em really hard", since Strategic Strike is the highest Precision damage scaling option.Unfortunately we don't have anything that adds WIS-to-Damage like the classic Zen Archer stuff (even Monk's Ki Strike doesn't do that), so you have to figure out something that lets you play into the theme of being this saintly bow-chad. Not fitting theme is why I'm not recommending Inventor, despite it also getting Power Attack on bows with Megaton Strike AND dealing more damage than anything said thanks to Overdrive, since that's...not what I would call a saint in anything but explosions...
>>88142829>I don't think you'll get a mechanical advantageI'm not trying to argue "well it should be a move action" but this kind of makes potions sponges irrelevant since 1 I can do this under water2 If it's like... on a bandoleer or something I can probably do it one handed.
>>88140899>You cannot use this spell to transform objects with magical or other exceptional qualitiesI'd argue that potion effects would fall under the auspices of this condition making them not a valid target for allfood.
>katanas aren't finessewtf, I wanted to play a katana and pistol gunslinger. Do I really just have to play a fighter?
>>88143114What if it was already extinguished?
>>88143580Then no, zero sense for aquatic humanoids to occupy the place. Particularly evil ones.Maybe they leave a small force there to deter or give advance warning of larger attempts to relight it.
>>88143532I can see the shape of an argument for this, but it'd need to be in a game with an overall punative take on all magical effects for me to think it's fair. I'm sure you didn't miss the point I'm not transforming the potion itself. But just to explain myself: I'm transforming the vial/flask it is in. Doesn't need to be a potion in it at the time. Regardless a potion flask gains no benefit from containing magical potions. It's a glass vial with 0 hardness and 1HP. Or an iron vial with 5 hardness and 3HP. Neither of which are bolstered by the magic to protect it from an attack like enchanted items are.
Cheers for all the musings on single-attack damage bow user builds, it's given me lots to think about!
