>Don't care for lotr>Don't like phyrexiansI have waited so long for eldrains retun please don't be shit
>>88101063>https://mtgprint.cardtrader.com/I want to print some sheets on monday. Is there anything to consider or do I only have to create the PDF and print it?
>>88101063Why does Floral Spuzzem and not the player make the decision
If I want to do wither and killing things with debuffs what commander should that be?Scorpion god, atraxa, volrath, toxril, or yawgmoth?Initially I wanted to do atraxa for easy proliferate but there's not enough wither without red
>>88101154it will always live in his shadow
>>88101198All wither is in rakdos, I would go scorpion god or hapatra personally
>>88101063Floral Spuzzem walks a planeA body made of leaf and grainAs a creature, Spuzzem is greenFloral Spuzzem hates a brain
>>88101154Eldraine 2, Kang Boogaloo will have the niglet children assume the throne with more diversity knights and lip smackin mmm-hmm das rite peeps to slang blades in dey hood knowimsayin?
>>88101154>>88101383Fuck Eldraine, gimme more Innistrad so we can have more Werewolf support. There isn't a single thing that Eldraine has that is unique, while us wolf players are stuck waiting for the returns to objectively the most flavorful plane to get anything. Just fucking retcon Day/Night and Transform for Werewolves, Wizards. Do it, you fucking cowards
>>88101616We've already had three, I think everyone has had enough
>>88101616Werewolves are fucking lame and so are you.
>>88101690Not to mention that every time we go back the style and themes of the plane deteriorate.
>>88101616Innistrad and Ravnica need to take a long break. Alara and Lorwyn are basically forgotten, but still I'd rather see something new and fantasy. OG Ixalan could have been good, but they went full reddit on OMG DINOSAURS, and completely overshadowed the new take on vampires.
>>88101735I feel like mtg gets more goofy as time goes on>inb4 we always had goofy cards
>>88101766Old goofy stuff knew what it was.New goofy stuff is someone genuinely wanted a chainsaw equipment for the classic horror movie plane
>>88101741I'm not a fan of alara but at this point returning there would be welcome compared to three rounds of innistrad and ravnica
>>88101741Alara has the most SOVL so they will never return to a multicolor plane without making it as much broken cancer as the new sets with overpowered multicolored bullshit, and Lorwyn would just get culturally enriched by nignogging all the white Kithkin and pushing fairie rogue bulkshit.
>>88101766I'd argue it's less about about being goofy and more about diluting the essence of the plane in order to rocket out new products. Skeletal Grimace is also goofy, but it does so in a way that feels in place with the plane's gothic horror aspects as compared to a fucking World of Warcraft chainsaw.
>>88101844Basically, flanderization of planes.
>>88101616>>88101383We need an ogre like Shrek and a MTG version of Puss and Boots. Eldraine 2 should be the not-Shrek set and lean in to it hard
>>88101861When are we getting return to Rishidan? I want more mercs and rebels.
>>88101912You mean Mercadia?
>>88101981Rabiah Scale 9, so never
>>88101987why is faggot Maro racist against Mercadians?
>>88101999The original reasoning was things that resemble/are inspired by real world things will not be revisited.
>>88101912But anon, we just got a whole bunch of new Rebels! God all the hexgold stuff looks fucking terrible.
>>88101735>Not to mention that every time we go back the style and themes of the plane deteriorate.Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I actually thought Midnight Hunt was a bit of a "return to form" for Innistrad. It's not as good as the original sets but it's better mechanically than Shadows, Eldritch Moon, and Crimson Vow. Eldritch Moon had some cool body horror art but was mostly shit otherwise.
>>88102029Like Amonkhet, Innistrad and Kamigawa? Holy shit when will Maro be shitcanned and replaced by a diversity hire black xer already? It can't be worse than what he's doing.
>>88101154Eldraine was great, it was my first set so nostalgic for me.
>>88102077I actually agree with this, eldritch moon wasn't a positive direction for the plane at all. Crimson vow wasn't my favorite because blood tokens are awkward but I did like the new direction for humans and spirits
>Built this dude for shit and giggles>it became the most winning deck i have.Is a kind wierd of a feel...
If i use pic related with Ovika, whats the mana value then? 2 or x + 2?
>>88102415I rather want to ask how many tokens i will do then
>>88102415For X spells, the mana value is the total amount of mana you spent for the spell.
>>88102450>>88102429So if i pay 7 (5+UU) i get 7 tokens right?
>>88102088>>88101154It is so strange to me that when Eldraine was standard legal everyone was bitching about the low power level (ignoring Oko) and now everyone talks about it as a high powered set the same way people used to talk about Lorwyn block. Same with Ixalan-when that set released the internet endlessly bitched about it, now people speak nostalgically about it and are hopeful for Return to Ixalan. The monowhite conquistador vampires had everyone complaining about them at the time but now majority opinion is they are kino. I wonder if faggots will start speaking this way about Brother's War and Return to Return to Dominaria in a few years.
>>88102415the mana value of X spells on the stack is equal to the mana cost+the X value (so X+2)
So this dude got a lot better with the proliferate support added in ONE, right? Including the new him that doesn't look like him.
>>88101155>Is there anything to consider or do I only have to create the PDF and print it?make sure to choose the correct paper size in the drop down. I've fucked up a batch of sheets myself by not checking that. The default is A4, which is not the default sheet here in burgerland
>>88102481Do spells like Helm of Awakening and Ruby Medallion lower the cost of X spells?
>>88102541Yes, this is why you add x cards to decks like Rakdos Lord of Riots.
>>88102469eldraine had other powerful cards that were too powerful and format-warping (fires, bonecrusher giant, once upon a time, embercleave, great henge, robber of the rich, lucky clover, fabled passage, witch/oven, brazen borrower). eldraine limited was low power-level and boring, but standard was nuts. it was just pretty low-power right before that.ixalan block didn't come together well mechanically, but it had cool flavor that drew people in.dominaria united will probably be remembered as a pretty good set, brother's war i don't really see it.
>>88102541yes, by the order of casting a spell you determine the value of X before you pay costs, so you can choose an X value you can't actually pay, then apply cost decreases afterward. That's why pic rel is so strong
>>88102469Bro war was boring and Dominaria Cucknited only had Sheoldred, so no.
Just played with the new phyrexia w/g/b deck.I won using a cheap green to proliferate on an opponent at 38 life. That did not feel good or fun. I'm going back to my eldrazi autism project.
I have a bunch of black stuff lying around like lake of the dead and recursion/sacrifice stuff like gravepact/black market. What's a fun commander to builf around these cards?
>>88102469half the eldrain set got banned lol (but I blame that on being there around the same time as MH, and wotc not wanting to ban MH cards). I always said Ixalan vamps were a neat idea, but the dinosaurs and pirates were extremly cringe (woohoo wacky xd). Jace and Vraska subplot was cute since I'm a monstergirlfag, but my only memory of ixalan cards was that they were irrelevant compared to energy that somehow refused to leave.
Anyone tried running her as a commander?
>>88102541they lower the mana cost but not the mana value. So if you have Ovika and ruby medallion in play and cast finale of promise (XRR sorcery) where X is equal to 5, you will create 7 tokens even though you only spent 6 mana to cast it
>>88102696Only the booba anime version is valid
Ok, this is where im at atm, any suggestions? I'm trying to keep it as budget-friendly to me as i can, so that is why i don't have any of the other lands that are 10€+>Purphoros is way too good in this deck to not be included
>>88102581>Sheoldred is $60+>Next most expensive card is Liliana at $16Ain't that the truth
>>88102733very cool but how are you casting that giant bumblebee? sit on your ass for 7 turns and hope for the best?look into high tide, seething song, etcthan dynamo and hedron archive, 'big rocks', anything that helps you put that thing on the field and inevitably recast it when someone stubs it with removalsome devious bastard suggested picrel a few threads ago and it's one of the most fun cards i've run in my list ever since
>>88102733Think about Search for Azcanta, Primal Amulet, Finally of Revelation, Narset's Reversal.
>>88102811>very cool but how are you casting that giant bumblebee? sit on your ass for 7 turns and hope for the best?yea that's my only issue, i gotta get to 7 mana asap and then i can go offseething song is already in my list, will check the other cards, same goes for >>88102823thank you anons
I just got a walking ballista for 12 bucks (half off what its worth in canadaland). What should I do with it
>Masters set is reprinting triple digit price tag cards>Eldrazi Deck confirmedAre you holding your Emrakul foils close tonight?
>>88102811so you get all "untapped" mana from the chosen opp? so all untapped lands and mana rocks?
>>88102862>Eldrazi shitLmao hell no
>>88102733Give this page a scroll throughhttps://edhrec.com/combos/jin-gitaxias-progress-tyrantCombos are generally boring shit, but you might find some fun spells to add that incidentally also combo off. Like >>88102823 suggested, a flipped primal amulet with narset's reversal can effectively give you free spells (as in you don't waste cards) every turn, and often goes infinite with something like frantic search.
Is there a more fun commander than Xenagos?
>>88102936No, it basically forces the opponent to tap all their lands, and then it empties their mana pool and gives your the mana that was there.
>>88102955oh so only mana from the lands? but still neat
>>88102733>commander makes goblin tokens based on cmc of spells>has no goblin synergies (such as Skirk Prospector, Brightstone Ritual, or Krenko)>has few token synergies (Magnus the Red, Distant Melody) >has no high cmc spells with self cost decreases (pic rel, either of the suspend Refrain cards)>>88102811>that picI have never seen that card before, but it is about to go into my only deck with blue
>>88102936Go to gatherer and read the errata.
>>88102964however the opponent can for some reason choose to tap their artifacts for mana and then give that extra mana to you, like for instance if you need to cast a board wipe you could politics with an opponent to give you extra mana.
>>88102943ok i have added both to my list (primal amulet and narset's reversal)
>>88102811I'm 99% sure the answer is yes but if they say had a cradle out and 10 creatures the one cradle would contribute 10 mana ya?
>’wrong’ guy wins PwPs cedh tournament>instantly ban him from all future events and tournaments
>>88102571>dominaria united will probably be remembered as a pretty good setI agree with this a lot, I actually liked a lot of the new legends in the set and it had a great limited environment.
>>88102369Give me the list
>>88102811Can't they tap all their lands in response to this?
>>88103128Ot empties their mana pool, they would have to use the floating mana first.
Is Kaldra Compleat playable as a Stoneforge target or is it simply too expensive if Stoneforge gets removed?
>>88102941ITS COLOURLESS TIME AGAIN BAYBEEEEE
>>88103174I'd happily run it in something that has some way of cheating on either the casting cost or the equip cost like Gwyn, Balan, or Godo.
>>88099678I did not expect my random pet card to be so well-received
>>88103204>On one hand, Eldrazi are cool>On the other, Eldrazi likely aren't fun to play against>Also EIGHTY FUCKING DOLLARS
Ok, things are slowly adding up
The Gitrog combo deck looks like a fun combo mechanically, but it probably looks awful in real life.
>>88103204MOTHERFUCKER NONOT AGAIN
>>88103068The feelings of men in dresses are more important than the level of competition in a competitive Magic environment. In case you haven't gone peak yet.
>>88103406For how much people like to complain about Thoracle, combo decks that waste time gathering redundant value are miserable throughout.
>>88103457Is that even what bad dog is supposed to have done
>>88103406>Gitrog combophysically unplayable because it takes you nearly half an hour to actually kill a table with the conventional dakmoor/shuffle loop, you're fucked the moment you sit down near a contrarian who forces you to play it out or someone who's just sandbagging interaction and wants to fuck with you just play your favorite funny g/b/x commander with pic related if you want to make a funny combo deck, gitrog is one of those lists you play 2-3 times and never touch again
If brash taunter gets blocked by multiple creatures, does each creature cause a trigger that can be assigned to a different opponent?or does all the damage only make one trigger that's assignable to one opponent?
>>88103669One trigger per source of damage
>>88103683does the first creature do damage then the trigger resolves, then the second. or do all creatures do damage then all the triggers happen?
>>88103704All do damage and then you order the stack.
>>88103704The latter. Unless one of the creatures has first strike and then you'll be able to assign that instance of damage before regular damage goes through at least thats how it worked on arena and I trust arena
>>88103669This similar card says it happens as one trigger
>>88103563Gitrog is such a lame reddit deck. It folds to graveyard hate and also folds to killing the commander multiple times.
>>88103068>>’wrong’ guy wins PwPs cedh tournamentlol what did he do that was so wrong and offensive to the men in dresses contingent?
does anyone know how to specifically search for spells with X in their mana cost in scryfall? I've scoured the syntax guide and feel like I'm missing something.
>>88103547Winner "misgendered" people during a tournament.
Is pic related actually fun or just a meme tribal commander from before meme tribal commanders were a thing?
>>88103365I also balked at the price, but precons might actually breaking out of the 'needs to be 95% chaff" and actually be competitive out of the box. This is a pretty big moment to prove the viability of such a price point.
>>88103950Pretty sure rebels was a competitive deck so not really a meme
>>88104038In standard, not commander
>>88103970the point of a precon is to be an entry point for new players. if they have to cost $80 to justify the power level of cards this is only a benefit to already-enfranchised players who are willing to pay that much.
>>88103970>but precons might actually breaking out of the 'needs to be 95% chaff"You can't possibly be this naive right?
>>88103970>>88103204>competitive out of the box>completely colorlesslmao it's going to be a giant shitlist of overcosted dead draws with 4 mana rocks in itit would have had a chance if it had some form of green in it for a chance at mana acceleration and creature synergiesi'm not sure you've ever seen a "tribal" colorless eldrazi list in action, but it's about the same as a budget ur-dragon in terms of the player just sitting there whiffing land draws until they play some shitty 8-mana donothing
>>88104067Ya no shit lmao
>>88103068>>88103457>>88103945i cant find anything regarding that, any links?
>>88104277And I'm asking about commander, so why bring it up?
>>88104458>is it a meme tribal commander from before meme tribal was a thingMy post then let's you know that it was not a meme tribal card, but a competitive tribal card. You're retarded
>>88104430From the word doc:>There are some themes and common behaviours that I have observed throughout the collection of these reports.>Lack of respect towards individuals with positions of authority.>Attempting or succeeding in convincing individuals they are disliked to ostracize, isolate, or control them.>The diagnosing and attribution of negative mental health conditions as a method of discrediting individuals. >>88104473It's not competitive in commander, and you're in a commander thread. I even specified "meme tribal commander". Do you walk into chess clubs and start ranting about how garbage the queen was in Shatranj? Your comment as just as relevant, and just as obnoxious. I bet you're the type of person who says "Well I'm not happy" when your mom, strained and weary-eyed, wishes you a happy 32nd birthday when you wake up at 3pm, you waste of a bump.
>>88104587Wow you are really stupid
>>88104606He's retarded for malding, but you're retarded in general
>>88104606>Is Lin Sivvi a meme commander>Rebels was a competitive deck so no>That was in standard, I'm asking about commander>Ya no shit lmaoNo anon, you are the super retard
>>88104629>>88104630Nope sorry. He asked if it was a meme card from before silly tribals were a thing. I said no it was never a meme card. EDHOnlies like you three are embarrassing
>>88103950>Is pic related actually fun>is <TRIBAL DECK> fun?do you find spending comical amounts of mana to shuffle your library every turn for nonexistent-board-presence creatures fun while playing the weakest mono-color in the format?people building tribal "because it might be fun" are fucking stupid - these decks came to exist because of sentimental value regardless of quality or performance. do you have sentimental value for rebels? do you just think they're neat? neat enough to have a shitty underperforming rebel deck forever because you like so much you just enjoy seeing the cards? no? move on
>>88103563>whenever YOU cast or copy...>THAT player may copy...why do you post these two together? they hardly synergize. even in a 1v1, your opponent will just say "no, fuck you" and choose not to copy it to deny you your second trigger.
>>88104736Yes, but what if you target yourself? That could be whacky!
>>88104736You target yourself, anon. You can make infinite copies, and get infinite magecraft triggers
>>88104750huh, didn't know you could target someone without a hand
>>88104736i'll give you a hint
Is he too fotm to build? I'm itching to build something new
>>88104104That's not my experience playing Eldrazi tribal. Sure it's not the BEST deck, but with roughly half the deck lands or ramp I get to 10 mana fairly quickly. Then cast Kozilek from the command zone, pick up a whole new grip, and essentially have a whole hand of counter spells to protect the incoming annihilators. The biggest weakness of the deck is usually the lack of interaction with opponent's game plans until your commander comes out.
>>88104833he is just as boring as light-paws.
>>88104833Slicer is based, but even though he doesn't look like it at first I think he's one of those commanders that can't really be built at a lower power level

>>88105028>cutting the mother's hipbone openI can't imagine the survival rate was that high
>>88102488he doesn't need proliferate imo
>>88102850put it in any deck that makes you infinite mana
>>88105047A quick search tells me it's much higher than you'd think, but you're definitely completely bedridden for a while afterward
I'm tempted to build this as a commander. Been looking for something that makes a lot of treasures or any non creature artifact token that could be then tapped for mana and make some big splashy turn where I draw all my deck and win. Had Jaheira and Galazeth in mind. But I think this dude is actually the strongest, maybe even too strong for my pod.
>>88105105True, but it looks like blue and green got most of the proliferate support and you are able to proliferate your own experience counters, correct? Also god I hate the art on his new card, his face looks so goddamn stupid.
>>88105206Why's he look so gay now?
>>88105226look up the artist
>>88105206His face looks even stupider on Claw of Progress
>>88105206There just aren't many proliferate cards. That Ezuri doesn't even proliferate unless you pay 7. There are better cards for the good Ezuri. Pic related is much better and might not even fit the deck either
>>88102077Midnight Hunt with the witches as the GW faction was kino. I hate that they almost immediately dumped that for more "muh church" shit.
>>88104833Slicer's card art has such a convoluted design history.

>>88105386left because you get to play OG vindicate

>>88105317This isn't even anyhwere near as bad as black Aragorn. This is in levels of acceptable because it would have been confusing as fuck if the alternate version of Wheeljack was named "Slicer" an entirely other card. This makes sense to people who are only generally interested in Transformers which most people are.
>>88105674>This isn't even anyhwere near as bad as black Aragorn.I... never mentioned black Aragorn. That's completely unrelated to what I posted. Jesus fuck, you have brainrot.
New to commander, I don't get how you're supposed to have removal if you can only have one of each card?So I can put in a single lightning bolt and a single wizards lightning, them I'm fucked
>>88105801There are over 20000 unique cards, I think you can find more than two pieces of removal even in monoR
>>88105837but me lightning bolt...
>>88105801>Red>Chaos Warp, Abrade, Blasphemous Act, VandalblastThere's probably more that I don't remember or know about; if you want even more removal, just pick a Rakdos, Boros, or Mardu commander and add in any of the ones in black and/or white.
Let's be honest. You'll never stop playing Magic.
>>88105503Alright, what other aspects of Innistrad would exclude it from having a chainsaw?
>>88105753You do realise that you can group MTG cards into categories right? For example one might group on into the category of:"Inability to design quality MTG cards" And from there we might even start a discussion how Wizards is being careless and the sheer number of cards being developed is causing a quality that is unacceptable and hurting their brand.Who knows though. Who fucking knows. Who knows how anything in this world works. Certainly not me. But most of all- Certainly not you. Stay fucking desolated, because you truly are the brain rot priest.

>>88105317So the shattered glass arts are from a bizarro universe where the roles are swapped?

>>88106500Did the red eyes and purple symbols not give it away
>>88106513No, I honestly have no idea about the universe other than the first Michael bay movie. The red eyes just looked cool
>>88106500"Shattered Glass", both the name and the concept on the whole, is a reference to "Mirror Mirror", the bizarro episode of Star Trek.
>>88106541NTA, but Shattered Glass is a role reversal universe. The Autobots are warlords operating on a few sects of Cybertron. The Decepticons are mostly-underground resistances to the Autobots trying to reawaken the Titans. And Goldbug is most definitely not an ally of humanity.

>>88106680This info makes it sound more interesting desu, though maybe that's to help me justify building a Slicer deck despite knowing nothing about the universe
>>88106678angels are durable as long as your pod doesn't run any interaction
>>88106697that's true for anything anon
>>88106695Normal Slicer is practically a non-character and Evil-Wheeljack-Slicer is just slightly better with a handful of comics for appearances, so you don't have much to work with for character lore.

Just have multiple decks covering multiple power levels.
>marrow gnawer>39 swamps>30 relentless rats>30 rat colonies
>>88106474I feel like it'd have to include black. Black is funnily enough probably the most resilient color in magic mostly because recursion means you don't have to care as much
>>88106791But EDH power levels are almost as nonsensical as D&D class tiers.
>>88106808I define power levels as when does your deck win on average. not perfect but gives a pretty solid estimate. also filters people with issues who somehow feel insulted by such a question.
>>88106019I haven't played a game since Christmas. No LGS, didn't meet with my friend either, we just chose other activities every time. We talked about having a game this evening, but I refused, I'll try riding this and stop playing and coming to this place

>>88106988Lorthos, crabmanI run omenkeel
anyone played with this guy? I love the sea monsters but I feel like it's one of these decks that gets old after 2 games
>>88107076>omenkeelhow have you built the deck?
>>88107094Cheap useful etb/effect on tap creatures(scaretiller is very useful) and some fun bombs/untap shenanigans. It's a weird deck because it's not very strong, but because you whack people with omenkeel you'll never miss a land drop. Trepanation blade dies a surprising out if work. It gets discounted a lot but I regularly do lethal commander damage because people ignore a piddly 3 damage here or there for bigger threats, and omenkeel is so cheap removal isn't usually worth it
>>88107086there's like 3 decent sea monsters so it won't do much
a guy does something +- like this:>t1 sol ring + skull clamp>t2 grim tutor>t3 rhystic study + some mana rock>t4 ashnod's altar + more mana rocksI cast nevinyrral's disk that someone else protected twice with counter spells and blew up everything turn later and he scooped up because he said it's pointless to play while being targeted that muchwho's in the wrong here
So whats the best use for this? Removing your own card in hoping of putting in something better or removing the creature of your opp hoping he doesn't get anything valuable?=
>>88107201Instant speed removal of something that lets your opponent lock the board.

>>88107181from a "feels perspective", if I get an opening like that, I don't mind getting blown up, but if I'm stuck with one card in hand after that while the next guy is about to do some crazy combo off, continuing to target me is just being an ass.
>>88107276Yes because it's a red removal that doesn't do damage. 99% of the time the flip will stop a game winning play even if they get something 'good'
>>88101063Secret infinite combo.
>>88107181>blowing up a rhystic studybasedit's his own fault for farting out a pile of value cards despite having nothing to do with them, playing a raw skull clamp to an empty board is retarded and slapping down "DO U PAY 1" afterward is just begging for deathbad players with worse attitudes, every time
>>88106988Hakim "You must not redeem" Loreweaver.
>>88107181>wahhh I’m being targetedhe’s in the wrong for being a whiny little bitch. magic is a game where you sabotage your opponents while trying to win. you should go into games assuming people are going to counter your spells, wipe your board, destroy your commander, attack you, use spot removal on your permanents, etc.
>>88101912While I’m in agreement that a Return to Mercadia set would be awesome, modern day WOTC is currently incapable of a proper execution. Part of what makes Masques such a great, unique set is the non-digital artwork and flavor the old artists of magic used to bring. They would need DiTerlizzi, Rebecca Guay, Tirese Nielsen, Fred Fields, Andrew Robinson etc. to capture the aesthetic that made Masques such a memorable and fun set. A return to Mercadia by modern day WOTC would have horrible digital art, some awful justice league planeswalker plot, and hamfisted diversity and inclusion bullshit. In a way it’s a good thing that MaRo doesn’t want to go back to Mercadia because it didn’t bring in enough shekels back in ‘99. One less fond memory to be defiled.

Shill me on your mono-white commander
So am I correct in thinking that once the game is down to two players left, you, as the player with the slicer deck, will never get to keep him on "hired muscle" unless it's the turn he is cast, and there's no reason to hand him to your opponent because Goad will not prevent them from hitting you if you're the last person left?So then at that point how do you win?
Why is he so based?
>>88106988Jacob Hauken is really underrated
>>88107181He is. He got way too greedy and didn't even fucking do anything with all the shit he crapped out. He probably saw the other players protecting the disk as the table colluding or ganging up on him "unfairly". Dude fucking made himself archenemy and then fucking complains about it. The dumbass is probably a noob and doesn't understand how to play the table. There's even a fucking playstyle to try and be the 2nd most powerful player so once everyone blows their load of interaction on keeping number one in check you just go for an easy win.
>>88108257You want to be in lethal range against the remaining player by the time it's 1v1. Otherwise you swing him out, then hopefully have a sac effect.
>>88108257>you, as the player with the slicer deck, will never get to keep him on "hired muscle" unless it's the turn he is cast, and there's no reason to hand him to your opponent because Goad will not prevent them from hitting you if you're the last person left?correct>So then at that point how do you win?Slicer needs to deal 63 combat damage to players, assuming the average 4-person game, to win. He does 18-24 per turn cycle. By the time you're in a 1v1 with him, the last person should be low enough for you to rouge's passage or something for the win. Of course that is just theory. The most likely scenario if you get down to a 1v1 despite using a group slug deck is that the other person is playing tokens or something else that counters you hard that you just can't beat.
>>88108262He's no Rafiq, but I guess he's pretty cool.
I almost never read what my Orvar target spells do, but I'm glad I remembered to do it the other day, because I found out I can change Field of the Dead to blue and then All is Dust it.
Given that value is so powerful, would it be viable to make a good deck of double faced/split cards? I imagine that playing with essentially 140 or so cards could be handy, but to my eye it seems that these double cards are kind of restrictive as they tend to play off of/synergize with themselves. Just wondering if anyone has ever experimted with the idea before I waste time on garbage.
Can someone recommend me an super easy to play cEDH deck? I have the autism and am super bad at making decks.
>>88108615Um, Tergrid if you want everyone to despise you, K'rrik if you want combos (just learn them by heart, and fetch what you need).
>>88108552I think modal spells like the charms and commands paired with ways to recur them is a bit more impactful. Some of the fuse cards are pretty decent though like Far/away and Wear/tear. There's also a few aftermath cards that are pretty decent. I'd prioritize stuff that can 2 for 1 or replace themselves. Do you have an idea for a commander or colors? I run an Inalla deck that is very charm and command heavy.
>>88108615Slicer is probably the easiest. Play slicer. Buff him on your turn or stax your opponents. Turn sideways
>>88108700You know what, your post made me realize that charms and command spells ARE much better. Now I'm thinking that this idea has already been perfected in the form of lucky charms type decks. My extremely half baked idea was just using child of alara or something like that and winning through value, which again I think has already been perfect through the aforementioned charms decks. IDK it was just a thought but now that I'm talking it out it just sounds like a bad idea.
>>88108257>High Speed AntagonistI hate the names of the transformers cards so much
>>88108784Yeah... Ramos charms is probably what the end result would be. The underlying idea of having 140 cards like you mentioned works it's just that charms and commands bumps that number even higher and usually have better modes.
>Decide to build Tasha with leftovers>Looking pretty good actually>Realise I have practically no mill cards cause I never play millIt'll be fine, right?
>double power >double mana>double triggers>double combat steps>double tokensThese sorts of cards/commanders satisfy my monke brain.

so what does this plump do? is it just a group hug deck?
>>88110823yes, until you whip out the thoracle and ostracize yourself from your group
>>88110747>they will never let her resolve/stick aroundI'm confused by this. Do you regularly, intentionally let your opponents' commanders stick around when you have the means to remove them? That seems like very strange behavior. Merieke eats a lot of removal, but so do all our commanders. Is it normal to let other people have their commanders in play for long periods? I exclusively play with a group I've known for a decade+, so I don't know "the meta."
>>88110823Yes, but you control the board at the same time, then you whip out a hightide into omniscience into enter the infinite into thoracle OR you use cards like Viseling and Psychosis Crawler to murder while spreading joy OR you mill them out with your love.
