Having 3 armigers for less than a single 500 knight is practically a no brainer, not only do you have more units to position and cover objectives with, you don't just lose half your army to a single charge. If they brought back Armor for vehicles and made it so there was a qualitative difference for the bigger knights where they couldn't be hurt by weaker massed attacks maybe the meta would shift, but as it stands there is little incentive to pay for gigantic 500-600 point models that can just get glancing blowed to death by enemies rolling 6's, not to mention the proliferation of AP and damage stratagems/auras making many units able to punch above their weight class.Paying 600 points for a model with a 3+ save and no plot armor wound caps like abaddon is a fucking sucker's game.

For IK, bondsman abilities are incredibly strong and a Knight with a certain relic can give a buff that lasts for the entire game to one armiger each turn which gives -1D taken, a 4+ Invuln and rr1s or +1 to Hit or something of the sort. And for CKs, bigger knights can actually be made durable with blessings.That being said yes. Big knights tend to get relegated into buff/utility machines while Armigers do the heavy lifting because simply put a 500 point model with no invulnerable in melee is just so trivial to kill in the current game it's a bit silly.

Mixed people from mixed groups, different sex, different adeptus(which is like religion/race/etc all in one). Played well it could be the new Ripley.
