A Fate prompt:What would be the optimal pair for your Servant/Master in terms of personality compatibility? And what do you think their most battle optimal pair would be?
>>87491927In terms of personality, the selfless and well intended Less is an extremely good match for Liz. Sure he's an idiot, but that just helps open up storytelling opportunities (i.e. helps with personal growth). You could argue that someone smarter, more mature, but still extremely justice autism-y would get along better, but I feel there wouldn't be as much room for personal growth- like if a pair fits each other too perfectly, there just isn't enough room improve the relationship. So, Less is honestly ideal. For Combat... Admittedly, Less's MEoDP could help Liz deal with conceptual defenses, but it honestly doesn't make up for flaws imposed by his crippling master potential. Someone with a good support magecraft would probably be better, like August's death substitute dolls, or at the very least a super circuit chad like Sabile that could bump her crazy stats even higher.

>>87492130While Voldemort and the Death Eaters are no longer around, the general attitude of pure-blood supremacy likely still is. What is your builds relationship with these ideas, do they harbour them deep down? have they ever been victimized or bullied over non pure-blood status?
>>87492149Evelyn doesn't care about being pure-blood or not, and if anything the concept is just another cause for her families ambitions of breaking into the 'nobility' of the wizarding world. Basically, some part of her (naively) feels like she'd live a happier life if the idea didn't exist.

>>87493887Good night anon~>How would little Liz react to the whole Lostbelt thing, the "we have to genocide this entire planet to save our own?"I frankly know nothing about Lostbelts, so my only source of information is this sentence. And frankly, she simply doesn't have it in her to harm anyone that isn't actually evil. Best case scenario, maybe you could get her to focus on taking out an explicitly evil sub-set of that planets people, but it's just as likely that she'd dig her heels in and advocate finding an option 3, not giving up on saving both worlds even on threat of death. Really it comes down to the fine details.>when the Blue Dragon office needs to present their fixer IDs?She sits quietly off to the side and let's someone else handle that. Also, unless the good fights are inside the building, she's fine with being left outside.>How does Alma, or anybody really get in contact with Morana?Anyway, that's actually quite the issue for her. It's probably going to be an issue until she settles down and finds a kenn- a house. Until she finds a house.>Another one for Liz: Favorite mahou shoujo?,it can't be her or Arcuied. Now that is a question. Definitely not Prisma Illya- too lewd. Honestly, I don't have a solid answer- I don't actually watch much of the genre. Probably the kind that can overcome all obstacles with the power of friendship- maybe talk monsters down instead of just killing them.>How good is Liz playing cat's cradle? Probably pretty good?>How many Moranas do you need to change a lightbulb?1 should be enough. >Nabi and Skeith-chanNabi could have a job offer of some sort for Morana. A satisfied and not murderhobo Morana would want to learn to cook, so Nabi could be her first vic- first helper. >>87492149Bree cares more about the strength of character than blood. She genuinely doesn't see the difference typically, but the people who keep challenging her (and failing) are worthy of respect regardless of their status.I imagine the family is more or less the same too, since I don't feel like there's anything stopping a muggleborn from being a grand duelist or a strong fighter with enough practice. And they may be even better at it than a Pureblood since they will have to adapt to less perfect circumstances.
>>87494843I hope the MP feels less like My Hero and more like Masks. Give me a bunch of angsty teen titans running around
>>87492149James's grandfather was a squib, and his line has been essentially disowned by the rest of the Grimm family as a result. Being the first wizard in two generations, James tries to hide these details as best he can, usually avoiding discussion of his family entirely if he can help it.It's safe to say he's less than fond of those ideas, since they've caused his family a great deal of ostracization and hardship.
>>87494872We can make it feel however we want, even without a vigilante option and stuff.I for one think it should take place in america.
>>87494994Oh I know. I just meant I hope it turns out that way based on the tone and builds anons go for.I agree that it'd be cool for it to take place in america.
>>87494994I'm gonna be a japanese school girl no matter where it is.
>>87492149Oliver's family is a victim of pure-blood supremacy's ills, as while they themselves are a pure-blooded line, their inability to produce an heir of quality has reduced them to the situation they find themselves in now, in massive debt and poverty.Oliver himself, in the beginning, does not try to associate with people that might "taint" his supposed pure blood, but as he gets into the newspaper business and gets over his inability to be good at what his family is known for, he'll become much more lax about it, perhaps even envying those who do not have the burden of a bloodline on their shoulders.Might also grow a distaste for society as a whole but that's not going to lead into anything, unless something puts him down enough, which I don't think is too possible with our current cast.
>>87494843Idk how I'm going to find character art for it.

>>87492149Henry probably doesn't care so much about it normally. But there is a risk of entering the "evil route" if he gets pushed on the topic too hard. Capturing and draining people to compare if the "Pure Blood" differs when it comes to magical properties.
>>87495329Actually better. Imagine how ridiculous that place would be if they got quirks.
>>87495060Thats fine, be a exchange student or something. I just dont want it to be in japan is all.

>>87495402I miss Hoard's sweaty armpits
>>87495395So, I wonder if we could make the setting some kind of 'artificial academy island' kind of deal. Somewhere that's country neutral so that any nationality makes sense- that way, every build can be from different nationalities without it being weird. Otherwise, if we picked Brazil, but then 3/4 of the PCs (and therefore the cast of characters) all end up being transfer students, it'd be really jarring. To me at least.
>>87495645I mean, were gonna have pro heroes and villains too, so it kinda cant just be focused on the school on its own
>>87495721I mean, yeah. I just figured the artificial island would be on the bigger side. The one from the movie had like 10,000 people. If you had an even bigger one with like 100,000 people, it's already on the scale of a tiny country, so naturally you'd have crime.Though I'm not sure why I said artificial island, an actual unnamed island somewhere would work just as well.Main point being that I wasn't picturing just a school floating in the middle of the sea. You'd have businesses, sights to see, residential districts, a large wilderness area, and maybe even a slum. Like a small country in the sea, that happened to be a good place for a high-end international hero academy to be founded. That's the kind of thing I was picturing.
>>87495874 (me)Anyway, maybe when MHA drops, we can do a strawpoll or something for setting location. For now, I'm off to bed.
>>87489995In a battle of attrition she could take down everyone but Auguste and Constantine for sure. And even then it'd be a 50/50 or even less for Auguste to win over her.
I wonder, Are you going Hero? Student? Villain? Support? Something not quite in one of those catagories?
>>87496170I'm going to play a cyoa in a better setting
>>87496170Depends on the quirks and such. Probably student or support (policeman).
>>87491927For personality, Servants like Liz and Baldwin (for understanding their dedication to humanity) or Bheithir and Caveman (she gets to ignore her charm debuff and pampers them). Narratively, the former work better.Battle wise I'm not sure. She'd try to tailor herself to support whoever she was paired with.
>>87495402And it was as off-putting as the anon who used it
>>87495113Some deviantart user already made an OC around my Faygo servant concept, then I thought better than to use it because fetishistic character designs were half of the reason for my hatred of that franchise.
>>87496192You just lack creativity
Hello, this cyoa started as a DLC of the Isekai Yog-Sothoth version 2.0 for the world of "Gargutawaria" but I decided to make it a separate Cyoa.In any case, you can play it normally or in god mode with the powers of the Isekai Yog-Sothoth version 2.0.Awakening in the Future Cyoa:

>>87497921Yog-Sothoth Isekai cyoa Ver 2.0
>>87497931You're right, did someone delete this or do I have to do something?
>>87497899I can't stop laughing at this and I don't know why
>>87494151>I frankly know nothing about LostbeltsOkay i have already explained what the pruning phenomenon is with that Fortuna backstory discussion right? Timelines that are too different from the norm get cut by the World and eventually cease to exist. A Lostbelt is one such pruned world, being sustained by a Fantasy Tree, a creation of the Beast 7, the Alien God. The only thing keeping the world stable is the Tree, and to guarantee their existence the Lostbelt must grow, consume all other Lostbelts and destroy the regular timeline to make itself the real one. So it really is a matter of "us vs them". The only way for both the Lostbelt and our world to survive is to destroy all others (From our perspective, the 7 Lostbelts, from theirs, all other 6 lostbelts and our world). We joke about genociding them, but that isn't exactly what happens, we don't go around murdering everybody, we just destroy their Fantasy Tree, which means they'll be erased from existence. It probably won't do much good to the mental health of a certified seigi no mikata like Liz, meeting all sorts of kind, good people who help you out, and you solve their problems in turn, only to repay them by erasing their only chance of survival. Repeat that 7 times.
Since the FGO cyoa dropped, I started playing the mobage. What's up with the difficulty spike on Camelot? Gawain forced me to use one of those items to respawn my servants and in general I stopped using those story provided support servants cause they do jack shit here
>>87498827The Camelot difficulty spike is pretty well known, it's actually still considered one of the harder story chapter because of this. Mostly because it's the first chapter to have actual boss fights that aren't just demon pillars or servant with inflated, things get a lot easier afterwards until Shimousa and then being super difficult becomes the new normal.
I wish I had any motivation to write right now

>>87499318Its a twitch emote.>>87499308Maybe one of the artificer ones could be taking a perk from any other archetype? Like pay 15 points then full value (70) and get furioso?Maybe one for getting loads of bullets where you can carft a bunch more bullets at once for the same price because reasons. Be it a tax break or whatever.Maybe a perk that gives them a big bonus when using gear they made themself? I dunno.Distortion... Meltdown mode? Like they go into a Furioso style rage or something and lose all control but spike in power drastically?Maybe a thing where the wounds they inflict seem to be different somehow (Like shifting colors of damage in lobcorp) and may be more effective than otherwise.Iunno this shits hard.
>>87496170Villain, i already know what i'm going to make. I have the character, the name, the quirk, the backstory, goals, etc
>>87496170Villain, if only because my inspiration pic doesn't exactly give off heroic vibes.
>>87496170I've got a hero in mind
>>87499567all the more reason to make it a hero
Sounds like we need Heroes, and to a lesser extent Students
>>87499699I'll likely be making a Student, or at least a Sidekick.
>>87499699Mine will be both
>>87496170If I do get back into this, probably a hero or student
>>87499699I might go with >>87499591 and just make them a shady hero or maybe "reformed" villain (they've only committed some petty crimes so let's throw them into school instead of super jail sorta thing).
>>87492149It's questionable if Mira even considers herself a muggle-born, but if does she'd find the whole idea of "pureblood supremacy" laughable. She has enough things she hates herself for and none of them are fact she wasn't born to actual wizards and witches.
>>87498827Camelot is a pain, but it teaches some good lessons if you're in for the long haul (Mostly one big lesson about abusing anti-trait buffs). If I can offer some unsolicited advice, it would be not to rely to much on your friend list for damage. It was a trap I fell into, which led me to only level support servants so I could skip a lot of the progression and speed through the story, but when Lostbelts and Shimousa came with Forced Story Supports it hit me like a truck.>>87499318Sent a friend request, I owe you the help if my dlc got you into it.
MHA anon gib updates pls
>>87500944It's been one day since the last update, man
>>87500991one day too long
>>87500944>>87500991>>87501001Had to split Gimmick Body into 2 things: Natural Weapon and Enhanced Mobility. Also added Projection.Realized I also have to put some location options alongside timeline options.
>>87501111Also this week's chapter is surprisingly good. I haven't felt excited for the series like this for quite some time. Must be a good sign.
>>87501111I'm waiting as impatiently as the threadslave
>>87501111>Realized I also have to put some location optionsWon't that end up like...splitting people into different regions and the like?
>>87501300That's a good point, but I don't wanna restrict people playing the cyoa to a single country or city. Ideally this is for both mcyoag and cyoag users to enjoy. There's always the option of making a ruleset for the mp like others have done.Anyway, the location thing is something I'll focus on later, right now I have more quirk templates to make.
>>87501111>split Gimmick Body into 2 things: Natural Weapon and Enhanced MobilitySo why did gimmick body get split into those two? And what does projection cover?
>>87501464>why did gimmick body get split into those two?It was just too broad and required too many suboptions. I wanted a template that would fit powers like Ida's and Jiro's, so I made Gimmick Body, but it wasn't enough to cover stuff like Gran Torino's or Burnin's quirks. So Natural Weapon covers the combat oriented stuff like fire hair, and Enhanced Mobility is for stuff like flight, wall-crawling, water-walking, engine legs, etc.>And what does projection cover? Most emitter powers like Endeavor's, Momo's, Nejire's...
>>87500446Anti-trait buffs as in those from Command Codes or should I somehow look for Servants that gave those? For now I've been using Heracles that I got as my first servant as my main damage dealer (lvl 98/100, with attack and hp buffs at a bit over 1000, and for that item the one that gives him immunity for some attacks, but increases the damage he takes after), but support servants help in Camelot as I sometimes come a bit short on damage if I get unlucky cards so I feel like my other servants are lacking as they are lvl 80 only (and Mashu at 60). Should I keep focusing on Heracles or start dropping grails at the rest? Thanks for the friend invites, Anons.
>>87501560We don't have to pick exactly those powers, right?
>>87501675They are templates for a reason. You can customize the Material you create, the Location where it's created, the Speed at which it appears, and the amount of Control you have over your creation.
>>87496170Probably Student and build up to Hero. More fun to progress that way imo
>>87501756I figured, but was just making sure. Sounds good, anon. Godspeed
>>87496170I think I'll make a hero with a really generic name that everyone makes fun of him for
>>87501818Heroman? real name Hermano.
>>87501995Why did we have so many makers for worm?
>>87501995found your reference pic
>>87502054I didn't have any character concepts set up for MHA, but a Blippi the Clown-esque "Children's Entertainer" could be kind of fun.>>87501615I was referring to Servant that deal extra damage off enemy traits. Euryale, a 3 Star Archer with huge damage bonuses against male servants, is available on the Friend Summon and is how most people got through Camelot. Heracles is a really good Servant, but I'd advise you to be a little more stingy with Grails, they aren't a cheap investment, and get harder to come by after you finish the story. Developing your roster is complicated to plan, and your pretty much guaranteed to regret your choices no matter what you do unless you've already played through the story on multiple accounts, so don't worry about it to much. Just don't burn Servants unless you've already gotten them to Noble Phantasm Rank 5 and mistakes can be fixed with time (unless you desperately need rare prisms, but considerations on which Rank 4 and ups to burn are too much to get into here).Don't take anything I say as a golden rule, but many people like to use Herc as a "Last Stand" Servant, which is to say they leave him in the back line so he doesn't come out until the rest of the team is dead. They do this because if you only have one Servant left and the enemy activates their Guts buff it automatically ends their turn, and Herc gets a stacking Guts buff off his Bond 10 Craft Essence, so he can last several turns alone, even soloing certain bosses.
>>87502324>is how most people got through Camelot. Most lucklets maybe
>>87502324Thanks for the info, much appreciatedSo far I used Herc a my opening because with his high damage he was able to clean up the enemies fast and with the craft essence the vulnerability of a Berserker was mitigated. I'm still far away from bond 10, but when I get them to might move him into backline. How do you level up so many different servants? I'm low on xp cards. And I've been burning those low level servants just to make space. Are low star servants even useful? I thought the higher stars are much stronger (just by gacha sense).
>>87502404>Are low star servants even useful? I thought the higher stars are much stronger (just by gacha sense).Very useful, just more situational. FGO's balance is a little wonky, 4 and 5 Stars are generally stronger, but many low star servants have a focus on a specific niche where they can actually overcome their higher rarity counter parts. The archer on my list, Arash, is actually top tier for his ability to instantly clear the field while killing himself, effectively letting you skip the first wave while maintaining team comp. He's very useful for ember farming, which is how you get EXP cards. You can get EXP cards by doing events too, but the bulk come from Daily Quests in the Chaldea Gate tab. Look for the set quests titled "Ember Gathering", they change classes each day.>>87502338I don't believe in luck, if you roll or miss a Servant it's Fate
>>87502720>low star servants have a focus on a specific niche where they can actually overcome their higher rarity counter partsJust like Ahab would beat Belle
>>87502807>Just like [ECHOES OF A BROKEN MIND]
What are we up to today, anons?
>>87502807I'm starting to think Ahab would be the one to lose to his own hubris
>>87503265waiting for MHAnothing to do until then, not playing the other cyoas
>>87503265It's been 2 days I'm thinking I should write for fate but kinda bummed there hasn't been much writing for titanic
>>87503280Ahab anon here (not the one you responded to). Rather than Hubris, Ahab would fall due to Hamartia (see his misinterpretation of the prophecy leading him to think he's immortal), but those are specifics. He can also die due to just shitty luck or any other obsession related problem. Or just magic, he has no resistance beyond pure endurance and some immunities to mental effects.
>>87502807But would he?Sure in a 1v1 servant v servant he snipes pegasus then wins the normal fight, but would he win in the grail war we would have?
>>87503304I have trouble writing for stuff involving other characters
>>87503459So do I but I have to try, else it ruins the purpose of multiplayer
>>87503452Ahab anon here (going to sleep soon), he probably could win grail war only in some bad ends. He's not a protag material. Otherwise his role in the story might involve defeating Bellerophon but it's probably as a result of getting manipulated into it and he gets backstabbed soon after.
>>87503304I have one in progress but little time.
>>87503304Don't worry anon. At the very least, I'm still working on that last part of Siren Hunt.>>87503265Siren Hunt. >>87503537on that note, who is protag material? My guess is Nobody
>>87503593She was already the protag of the last one, she can't be it againI'd say Less, he's perfect dumbass protag material
>>87503832True. Dumbass Justice frontline master and kuudere justice saber. Minus Black Annis, it's like the Shirou and Artoria all over again. Plus, he'd frankly need HEAVY plot armor to win the war, which just makes more sense.
>>87503832Too stupid to be a protagIf you truly want to pick a single one rather than an ensemble piece, probably william
>>87503593Obviously, nobody is the protag - it's an MP.
Also, Lucia anon here, she wouldn't participate/reason to in a normal HGW, so she would just resign her command seals or use all three in a go to just ignore the HGW and go back to Baldanders/WanderWandering Sea.
>>87503873Shirou isn't an idiot, he was just overly idealistic. Less is major side character material, not protag material.
>>87503958Based and reasonable
>>87503593I think Liz would be a good protagonist
>>87503958So that's how she won... conceptual advantage...
>>87504051too mary sueish
Holy shit the entire point of a collaborative mp like fgo is to avoid those talks of main character since everyone shares that spot and everyone can winUtter autism
>>87503581Hmm, when i was reading on spiritron hacking i remembered a nice random thing to ask about Liz, but that could very well work as a prompt to all magecraft users: What is your mental trigger to activate your circuits? "Once the magic circuits have been opened for the first time, the practitioner can switch them on and off at will. Each practitioner visualizes the flipping of this switch in their own particular way. For Shirou, the image is that of a gun's firing hammer, while for Rin it is stabbing a heart with a knife. This image tends to be related to how the circuits were opened for the very first time, so there even those who can only open their circuits through sexual arousal or self-harm."
>>87504069I have to agree, nasu would never make a protagonist that isn't at least a little bit fucked in the head.
>>87504101>a protagonist that isn't at least a little bit fucked in the head.I think both Guda and Hakuno fit that bill. Gudao "only" has to sleep with the knowledge of doing genocide half a dozen times, and i think Hakuno doesn't have any weird quirk as well
>>87504120>i think Hakuno doesn't have any weird quirk as wellWatch last encore
>>87504129>Watch last encoreThe hakuno from last encore isn't the same as the game hakuno
>>87504051To be honest, Liz herself would have no interest in the grail. She'd probably allow herself to be summoned because 'it's never JUST a holy grail war', and she'd be seeking out whatever unnecessary threat got added into the chaos while doing her best to protect the normal citizens.Narratively, I think she'd be absent for like the first half, and suddenly show up later to help introduce the true threat to the MC. And then near the end, she heroically martyrs herself in proper grimdark Meguca fashion. So she's more of an important side character.
>>87504153Feels like a "doesn't count!" retortGame hakuno is limited by being a self insertLast encore hakuno gives nasu more liberty to do what he wanted with the character
>>87504167>Feels like a "doesn't count!" retortNot saying it isn't, but they are quite literally not the same person. Last Encore is a what if set 1000 years after the original Fate/Extra, where the original one (Hakunon) failed to defeat Saver.
>>87504192Yeah I know I watched the show
>>87504099Hmm... Good question. I wonder what her trigger would have been as a Einzbern homunculi. Magecraft was basically pre-programed into her, so how about an internal image of 'Opening her eyes'?

But opening her eyes is a nice and simpe trigger for the skillmaxxing Saber
>>87504099So anon, what's your character's metal trigger?
>>87504298Forgot to add the pipe bombs and flash bangs to my gear combat rating, should be 57 instead
>>87504362Yeah, I was more thinking that as a homunculi designed to use magecraft, her first experience with using her circuits would be very early in her life. Like: 'I've been able to use magecraft from the moment I first opened my eyes'- which lead to that trigger. That was the thought process I went through.
>>87504375>So anon, what's your character's metal trigger? For NR, it is an emerald being shattered into dust
>>87504414>That was the thought process I went through.Well it works just fine. Also a funny coincidence that the boy with an eye power has a servant whose trigger for magecraft is opening her eyes.
>>87504510True enough. Clearly the master and servant were very compatible.
>>87503537Ahab/Aleidoros would be Heracles/Illia or Medea/Kuzuki style antagonists that signify immense immediate threat but die after taking out a pair or two due to bad luck or other pairs ganging up on them.
>>87504943Makes sense. August's team seems like they'd fill the same role.
>>87504985He strikes me more as the zouken cockroach type with bheithir being a saber alter like
>>87505002I can kind of see that. How about Bryce/Tyler? For some reason, my brain wants them to fill a Rin/EMIYA role.
>>87505043Bryce is a good mentor character so he can fit in rin's shoesFor tyler he does have the carefree nature EMIYA sometime shows
>>87505064What about the remaining teams? Constantine/NedSabile/Belle/KairoWilliam/RSChikai/NRLucia/Fortuna
>>87505064The idiot/Medusa pair seems hard to replace. None of our masters are scummy enough. So, maybe we can do Chikai and NR as Sakura/Medusa, and toss in a trashy NPC for the idiot? (We'd just have to replace all the lewd parts about Sakura's plot with some other kind of suffering).
>>87505159>Chikai/NRCould fit sakura as she's easely manipulated and NR would just go along with her master>Lucia fortunaShinji and rider, nuff said
>>87505171I think nasu would lewd the loli desu.
>>87505178So, I know we've been doing OG Fate, but I want Bellerophon as Iskandar from Fate/Zero. I sense a similar based energy.
>>87505208>nasu would lewd the loli desu.If that's true, where is our Illya route? Checkmate atheist
>>87505178>Could fit sakura>>87505171>Chikai and NR as Sakura/MedusaWho would be the boy doing the high jumps? We need somebody to trigger all the dark sakura nonsense and rescue her.
>>87505237>prisma illyaUnfortunately, no badly written h-scenes, so its almost there.
>>87505217Len in the tsuki fan-disc thingy.
>>87505235>Who would be the boy doing the high jumps?Subverts expectations by being literally anyone cause chikai is so starved for bonds she latches on to whoever looks in her general direction
>>87505235Good question. We have Bryce as Rin, so that's going to be one hell of a love triangle. Or Polygon after we add Aleidoros (as Illya).
>>87505296So The protag is female?
>>87505321>So The protag is female? That would only leave Sabby as the candidate for the role.
>>87505291>by being literally anyoneThat means the only real qualification for the role is being willing to answer to her totally healthy dependance, being autistic enough to try and save her.
>>87505367Ahab the disc one boss that cripples her Servant till the endgame, with Aleidoros serving as a wake-up call about absurdly powerful Masters.
>>87505296Which way, japanese school kid? Older, dependable guy who will teach you about the world of magecraft and the Grail War? Little sister who is extremely emotionally dependant on you who will do anything for a scrap of affection? Or a beefcake who is constantly trying to restrain his murderous impulses but is also a great chef?
>>87505367I support this turn of events.
>>87505064>For tyler he does have the carefree nature EMIYA sometime showsGoing to die stalling a monster just so the protagonist can get in a threesome, what a guy.
>>87505415So...Rin/EMIYA = Bryce/TylerSakura/Medusa = Chikai/NRIllya/Heracles = Aleidoros/AhabKuzuki/Medea = ???Zouken/Alt Saber= August/BleithirKotomine/Cu/Gil = ???Shirou/Artoria = ???We've got Less/Liz/Annis, Nobody/Cook, Lucia/Fortuna, Sabile/Bellerophon/Kairo, William/RS, Constantine/Ned, Miyori, and Helios left.
>>87505508Medea/Kuzuki has to be Lucia/Fortuna, a servant without much direct combative power relying on strategy, and a master who goes on the frontline being able to beat up servants. By that measure, i think Helios would end up as Fake Assassin, the noble servant who is summoned by them as extra muscle. Red Scare fills the True Assassin role, because in direct combat she is weak, and relies on trickery/surprise attacks/keikaku for any real damage. What does that mean for William? No idea.
>>87505675Uhh... Maybe William got killed by Fortuna (i.e. Medea's original master?)
>>87505675All my current ideas for writing for Red Scare are pretty FGO centric and don't really work in a Grail War, even if she was originally from the 6th hgw.
>>87505675Actually, wasn't True Assassin's master Zouken?
>>87500991We are hungry please understand
Can't sleep. Goddammit.
>>87505709>Actually, wasn't True Assassin's master Zouken?Yeah
>>87506059I like to comfort myself by thinking that all the chatterboxes are busy writing.
>>87504099Chikai's circuits would have opened during attempts to make her psychic powers awaken, so it would probably b something like "bleeding" or whatever type of danger she was put in to achieve that and fall into the self harm category. It could also be something more innocuous like "mother's smile".
>>87506433Hoard anon was just too cringe

>>87507078t. newfagAnons are constantly singling out builds, usually in an attempt get others to hate them.
>>87507154People talk about my builds plenty, but I do write a lot of prompts yeah.
Hi newfag, where did you come from?
>>87507078>>87507171You're both newfags. Samefagging like this isn't new for /mcyoag/. It's not because the thread is dead.
>>87506982Honestly, kinda. I had some things planned, but I just don't really have the motivation to do them. I don't think it's necessarily because the threads have slowed down, though that's surely part of it. It might be the crappy weather lately. I'm excited for MHA, though, and I hope it'll get the creative juices flowing again
So, how many anons have an idea for what they intend to build for MHA (assuming you're interested in it)? I'm mostly asking out of curiosity, but as a bonus, MHA anon might look at our build ideas and get some inspiration.Personally, I was thinking of doing an accumulation quirk that steals stamina from other nearby living things, and can spend that stamina for (temporary) physical strengthening. I'm in the same boat as another anon in that I want a good guy with an evil quirk. Probably a student.
I'm mostly not doing anything here right now because I've been distracted.
>>87501111Question, anon. How do quirks that fall into multiple categories work? I don't even mean a fusion quirk like Todoroki's, just one that'd realistically be part of at least one other category. Do you just pick the one that seems to be the best fit?
>>87507259I've got an Idea for an uncontrolled Fog quirk that invokes everything that breathes it in worst nightmares for as long as they breathe it in and its in their system
>>87507220t. newfagIt's clearly target shitposting
>>87507259Depends on how the cyoa turns out. I don't like having too much stuff preplanned in case it just doesn't work. My preferred method of making characters (both for cyoa and ttrpg) is looking at the options available and build around them.I do have some basic ideas:-if we're in Japan, then a student or hero who teleports behind people and attacks with his katana-if we're in Brazil and the powers work for this, then it might be an uppity Gracie kid who wants to show that BJJ is the best and wants to promote it for Heroes to learn by becoming one himself.-If somewhere else, then I was thinking about a Support character who's a retired hero and now works as a policeman. Near the retirement age and constantly whines how he's too old for this shit.
>>87507259I got nothingI probably wont even make anything but I'm hoping it inspires me to get back into this
>>87507259I have one in mind. I think my quirk idea is probably one at least one other person might go for, but it feels weird to spoil my build before the cyoa drops, even if it's not anything super unique. I guess I'll just have to be quick about it.There's also the chance that I go for something completely different if the cyoa itself gives me some other inspiration. I often let the cyoa take me where it wants to go when making my builds. So who knows what I'll actually end up with in the end.
>>87507261with what, anon?
>>87507299Then I'll hope you get some inspiration too anon. Writers block is a fate no one deserves.
>>87507259My idea is pretty basic, being made of/producing thread.
>>87507259Still not entirely sure on the quirk, but I'm leaning towards a projection-style one, a bit similar to MomoWhich would let them create temporary hard light constructs, but doing so requires them to drain light from the surroundings, so they can't make things in the darknessDunno how well that would translate into the CYOA rules though
>>87507259I'm planning on making a hero who controls fiberglass.
>>87507259Got a few ideas, though I'm kinda leaning on making a Villain that can create neurotoxins.

>>87510705Eh, I usually just make a different build if someone else posts one that's really similar to my idea.
>>87510705Just turn it into a gag like steel boy and hardening boy in canon
>>87510705A lot of anons don't even read builds. Just make something and unique and you'll be fine.
>>87511021>A lot of anons don't even read builds.Do people really not read every build? Shameful
>>87511084I skip 90% of builds and writefags
>>87511084I think people actually read the builds more pre-/mcyoag/. Which makes no sense to me. Maybe Worm having a million builds just got everyone used to ignoring them?
>>87511210Worm is the build abomination we all know, but all other mps have a manageable number of builds to read.
>>87511219No I agree. I just meant it might be partially to blame. Imagine if you're new to cyoas and your first MP was late Worm where most builds were ignored. You might think it's normal to just post your build without reading any of the others.
The more builds there is the bigger chance I'll start skipping them. And usually unless I plan to include them in a writefag I don't read into them too deeply (like each skill etc) instead just reading summaries. I get especially motivated when making relationship charts.
>>87511219Personally I find organization, interaction and concise writing to be key. Consider how the Torential Tide formed in OR, or how the original HP ally sheet evolved. Both were large but their formatting and relevance allowed them to flourish.
>>87510729I probably read them.
>>87511102>>87511210it actually surprises me hearing some people skip builds since that's kinda the whole point of /mcyoag/.I get people liking their own characters and wanting to see them in stories made by anons but I always found it fun to read other people's builds just to see what kind of characters people make in a CYOA's world and I like seeing the diversity of builds people make or how creative they get with skills or background/character info to use a set of skill if they're limited
>>87511084>>87511210I read every build. Even for worm.
>>87511295I definitely agree. But I think it's also a matter of etiquette. Sure the HP ally sheet looked prettier than how we usually compile builds here, but its not like that's the sole reason anons were interacting the way they did. Same with the Torrential Tide and Support Spider's build compilation. Anons were looking to cooperate way before that was made (Though the CYOA itself obviously facilitated that.)To me it sometimes seems like there were just unspoken rules or naturally shared behavior that didn't fully carry over here. Hard to put into words.
Pre-MCYOAG fags are the worst, They should go back.
>>87511409>>87504298I dunno what the fuck this guys doing here either.
>>87511614What about pre pre-/mcyoag/ fags?
>>87511733I don't think it was bait, just a joke.
What are some MPs that you wish had taken off as much as you think they could have? And why do you think they failed?
>>87511834Star Wars failed because I had to take a break for college and I couldn't deliver my writefaggotry
>>87511880I think it failed because there weren't enough anons willing to post it, and I got too busy to do so myself.Which build was your, anon?
>>87511764I was more so talking /fcyoag/ and /worm/
>>87511935Pridwen. I was planning on writefagging a cyoa mission, the initiation cruise
If RWBY hadn't such shitty lore, it could be interesting for a MP.
>>87511834>>87511880I liked it but I arrived a bit too late to integrate properly so I didnt really get anything to write off of.
Finished Projection and Concealment, now it's time for Flesh Manipulation, Plant Manipulation, and Brainwashing
>>87512325I feel like you could have flesh and plant manipulation under a "biological manipulation" category or something, so it's less work for you.
>>87512461Oh no, too many suboptions involved. With flesh manipulation you can have quirks that mess exclusively with blood, bones, or muscles, or quirks that control all of those at the same time, while plants have different components. I don't wanna leave a template too bloated.
>>87511979It is what it is, anon. I also got busy during that time. For what it's worth, I enjoyed the writing you did do
>>87512489That makes sense. Hope you're enjoying working on it, anon.
>>87512548It is pretty fun, can't wait to finish writing everything so I can make lots of test builds. I am dreading the graphic design part tho
>>87512565You could release it like City Anon did at first and then make it look prettier later
>>87512489>plantsDo fungi count here?
>>87512597Maybe, if I can find enough common ground between fungi options and plant options
>>87512565I made some test builds while trying to come up with a balanced ruleset for the Worm MP, and I found that pretty fun. I assume that's one of the more exciting parts of actually making a CYOA. Good to hear that you're enjoying the process, anon.
The first budget of the City was 200 points, but as a I runned through the CYOa, I found it to be too little, so this was when I decided to up the budget to 250 points, and better the freebies. The initial equipment section was 50 points of stipend for everyone who wasn't an artificer,m and 100 to artificer, but like with the budget, I upped it to 100 and 150 instead.
>>87512730With the little experience I have, I'd say that the ideal point is when you can make a fun build, but without going overboard with the points. The more sovful you can make it with the initial budget, the better. Add drawbacks as they come for those who want to make mmore elaborate builds/with more gimmicks or options.
>>87512753I agree. I think that's why Outer Reincarnation ended up as soulful as it did. You didn't really have that many points for the personal options save one or two choices that gave you extras. And the strength of most of the abilities was vague enough that you needed to put in some effort to explain how they'd work for your character.
>>87512753I think there's such thing as too many drawbacks, though, especially if they aren't universally detrimental enough. If you can make some demigod freak in a world of street level characters, because you don't care about half of the drawbacks, that's not great for MP. I think a reasonable amount of clearly detrimental drawbacks is ideal. All of them should be impactful enough that taking one or two makes your character more interesting, not less, and taking more than that should basically be suicide.
>>87512753My personal view is that any good cyoa is basically just a really advanced writing prompt generator, and that applies to drawbacks as well. You should take drawbacks because it will make your characters more interesting, rather than just because you need points.
What should I start the next thread with
>>87513159We've done a lot of Fate and HP for OP lately, so preferably not those.
>>87513159>Randomly picks name from hat...Uh... PMD?
>>87510682Kino art as always, King Effortfag.Very nice,
>>87511880The Sith memes we got were pretty cool tho
>>87513322I made my apprentice sith slightly too late to really integrate into the memes properly. Felt bad.
>>87513279>>87513279>>87513279Get goin', Hogs
