going to the hardware store next week. I need to get some ceramic squares to serve as palettes, some white primer (I only have grey and it makes light colors a nightmare), a wooden block to hold my models while i paint, aannd...
what else should I get? I don't have a lot of fancy painting stuff. I'm supposed to get the 6x6 glossy pure white ceramic tile right? can I clean it off easily?

Don't use a tile, use a wet palette. Put a kitchen sponge in a Tupperware half-filled with water, and put some baking paper on it. Keeps the paint active for literal days.

I like the idea anon, but the execution is bad. There is no focus on either of the models, and the ground looks like cork (I know it's made of cork, but you can easily hide the fact) rather than actual terrain.

Then you should be starting to work. Till one gets his highest level of license and/or PhD one should not use up time for such stuff like hobbies. It is stuff you do between 13-18, and then pick up when you are late 30s early 40s, when you are divorced and have more free time.

Try sleeping 8 hours, after a 12 hour surgery and a triple shift, before that at 35+ and check what happens to you. You can take out the wrong kidney from a guy, by mistake.

and if you are uner 35, then you should be working to help people who are over 35, so they have a bit easier time. Young people are just lazy. "8 hours spend on what ever" in my 20s this ment getting a second job because of 90s recession. people with PhDs were painting houses and doing constructions just to get by.

so what happened to all the primarchs who turned daemon prince? do they just sit in their daemon worlds in the warp and just plot? They're giants so I imagine they just float around looking menacing twiddling their thumbs until GW needs them to do something. What's their endgame anyway? Don't they get bored? If they personally led their armies into battle thenthey would just steamroll the entire galaxy right?
For example, does fulgrim just sit in warpspace meditating? Does a century in realspace only feel like a month in the warp? So many questions..
>>
>>86834696
'CADIA COPES' would have been bad marketing, both for the boxset GW is trying to sell in the real world, and for the cadian descendants seething about the total failure of their parents within the setting.

Is it possible to permanently kill a daemon?
>>
>>86834724
The galaxy is a big place, and the Warp is even bigger. They may have spent millenia waging wars against each other or minor Warp entities, building up their daemonic realms, going on raids in the realspace, meditating on various sorceries or 15d-chess tier plans to outplay each other.
Plenty of stuff to do when you're a daemon prince.
>>
>>86834724
>so what happened to all the primarchs who turned daemon prince?
All Demon Princes are given a world to rule however they desire, they control it's very reality so basically they're just enjoying their personal version of heaven until they're ready to head out to fuck around.
Since they're immortal time means nothing to them.
>>86834740
Chaos Gods can permanently destroy demons and I think the Gray Knights have a method as well by I am not sure if it only banishes the demon or destroys it.
>>
>>86834740
Yes, but only Emps is 100% confirmed can really give a daemon a true death. His sword can do this too, but that's because it is basically bathed in Emperor's psychic power for so long that it can also give daemons true death.

Maybe some Grey Knights and Custodes could also do it, but they'd have to be über strong and be either a Grand Master/Supreme Grand Master or the Captain General.
>>
>>86834740
Yes. The patron god can withdraw favor from their daemon, true killing it. A null can also true kill a daemon, as well as a powerful psyker.

>>86834724
No. Almost all of what you said is wrong.
The God devoted primarchs have been devoted to the great game. That is to say the war between the chaos gods, mostly waged by daemons. Since the daemon prince primarchs are themselves of course daemons, their nature compelled them to be more concerned with that conflict than material wars.
Magnus has been leading his forces in real space for a fair while. Obviously he hasn't steamrolled the galaxy. However he has been building up a new empire where Prospero used to be.
Similarly Mortarion recently took to the material galaxy and similarly the Death Guard started building a nurglite empire north of Ultramar.
The great rift opening, thus spilling warp space more into real space, obviously has had an impact on the primarchs turning their attention.
Lorgar in particular has been meditating. Though for both him and Perty, they've also been stuck in a canon-limbo as to the nature of undivided daemon princes, since they are that, but Belakor fluff insists that he's the only one of that. With AoS reintroducing generic Undivided DPs, that might herald the fluff deadlock breaking and allowing GW to actually address the two of them again.

And for all of them, as daemons, their own free will is debatable at best, so questions of boredom or even endgames aren't even fully applicable.

>>86834772

What are your WORST BL moments?

Mine probably when McNeil went full retard and made Fulgrim somehow regain his body and following suit, instead of remaining an actual tragic character, locked in a painting.
It's so bad I actually forget all three novels were written by one man.
>>
>>86834772
>And for all of them, as daemons, their own free will is debatable at best, so questions of boredom or even endgames aren't even fully applicable.
Multiple Demon Princes have shown free will and the ability to wage war against the Chaos Gods even against their own Patrons.

Most of the durability in the Codex is accessible as a Dreadblade. To note, you can get:
>Ramshackle
>Favour of the Dark Gods upgrades like +1T, can't reroll against, FNP
>1/2 CP strat to reduce damage by 1
>1/2 CP strat to improve invuln save to 4+
You cannot get
>House Herpetrax
>Dread abilities that are -1 to hit (though you rarely use them since they're shared with better abilities like turning off ObSec)
>Relics like the 4+ invuln in ranged, 6+ invuln in melee one
>Abominant FNP (just a 6+)
>Tyrant area bubble (who uses tyrants though)
The bigger issue is that you're going to have to pay half your pre-game CPs just to bring them (unless you're playing with someone that reads the rules like a regular human being and not a retarded TO, but that's another story) and then if you're second you might have to pay 1 or 2 CP to keep them healthy if they get focused, which they will because they're big scary robots with threatening profiles. That being said I do think Brigands are good for DG since they bring long range, heavy firepower DG has no access too. Executioners as well since a potentially 4D3 S7 AP-2 (-3 within 18'') D3 shots which is a the kind of firepower DG really, really sorely lacks. And obviously the fact they're fast and get ObSec even when in allied detachments.
Many armies are subbing in some Dogs/Helverins with success so clearly there's a reason to do that. The problem is that core DG is probably too weak to be improved significantly by Dogs.
The good part is that if you have 2 dogs you can spend like 160ish more and already have a 1000 point CK army, and like 220ish more after that and have an actual 2k pointer.
>>
>>86834813
Not just Princes, Greater Daemons too.
Most obvious examples are Skarbrand and Aetaos'Rau'Keres.
Abnett in his Inquisitor series also wrote about some Daemon trying to rebel against the gods, I don't quite remember if was a Greater or Prince though.
I think there we other examples too, but usually they're just footnotes.

I've been practicing a lot of 'eavy metal style painting on marines to try and increase my brush control. I think it just looks good on marines as well.

I actually thought about starting a fluffy force of pure firstborns (spare Korsarro perhaps) of White Scars, inspired by this picture. I ordered 2x Biker Squads and an attack bike. I plan on doing my own simple banners with Aluminum flashing and small plastic rods. I really want this to look, in every way, similar to what a box art eavy metal white scar would look like.

Does anyone have an inkling as to how to go about getting this turquoise?
>>
>>86834970
Bright silver stained with a turquoise ink?
>>
>>86834970
Hmm...
Using GW paints why not try:
Basecoat: Kabalite Green : Sons of Horus Green (2:1 mix)
Soft shade: Kabalite Green: Sons of Horus Green (1:1 mix)
Deeper shade: SoH Green (Maybe even 1:1 SoH and Incubi Darkness)
Soft highlight: Sybarite Green
Higher highlight: Gauss blaster green into a Gauss blaster green:white 1:1 mix.

The reason I'm a little unsure is because Kabalite is a pretty desaturated color. I think however if you were to mis it with SoH green, you can get a good saturation while still keeping most-ish of the color from that Kabalite green.
>>
>>86834954
Why arent armies as kino as this anymore?
>>
>>86834970
I'm guessing it's Terradon Turquoise over silver/gold for the armor
>>
>>86834904
Honestly, for 25 PL Kabals are a good starting point then you can use wyches as an expansion.
>>
>>86834976
>Bright silver stained with a turquoise ink?
Nah, that's not a metallic paint job.
>>86834970
You can see the colours, it's worked up from a dark and quite blueish shade (applied by airbrush and visible on some of the unpainted bits), through brighter and greener tones, to a very pale top highlight. Applied with quite a lot of detailed brushwork to give it a rough appearance, and with a sort of NMM approach to shading which is why other anon thinks it's a candy coat. The effect here is less about the specific colours used, and more about the person doing it being a very competent painter willing to put a lot of time into a single model.

>>
>>86834813
>>86834866
Daemons going against other gods is a moot point, that's at least half of each patron god's main motivation.
But daemon's going against their own god isn't evidence of free will. All the chaos gods are self destructive. Skarbrand is seen by many within the settings as the greatest avatar of Khorne exactly because of his attacking Khorne. Khorne is the god of senseless violence. The god of caring not from where the blood flows. How can it not be blindingly obvious that violently rebelling against Khorne is an absolutely khornate thing to do? Thus it not in any way evidence of free will, and is in fact further showing daemons as slaves to their nature. Similarly tzeentch is constantly overwriting and foiling his own plots, infinitely scheming and counter scheming.
The chaos gods are each inherently self destructive. Their deamons acting against them is merely another way they act in accordance with their nature as aspects of their patron.
>>
Has anyone tried defeating the tyranids with the power of friendship?
>>
>>86835069
For 25 PL you can get a Splintered Genius Archon, 10 man Trueborn, 10 man kabalites and 1 raider.
Not a bad starting list.
>>
>>86835086
Cool. Is a raider useful at that level? I was thinking for Combat Patrol I'd take some incubi or a talos instead
>>
>>86835092
Incubi are good choices, Talos are kinda garbage after losing core.
Having a raider allows you to stick one of your squads onto it, now effectively having 14" M squad that if you stick splinter racks onto will always be in rapid fire range. Stick the trueborns on there and you don't have to worry about move and shoot with the heavy weapons because lul no hit roll or ballistic skill modifiers.

What do you mean?
Can't I make a superheavy detachment with a knight and two wardogs then add them to my CSM army as allies or something?
>>
What would happen if Orks began to sexually awaken and started to lust after human and Eldar females? How would the Imperium and Eldar react?

If you do so you will break both your CSM and CK rules. What you can do is put a unit of War Dogs or an Abominant in a super heavy auxiliary detachment which will make them gain the <AGENT OF CHAOS> keyword so you will get some CK rules and keep all of your CSM rules.

Damn that's quite disappointing, I honestly thought I could make a regular superheavy since everyone was talking about knights not breaking army rules rules anymore, guess I should've looked deeper into it.
Where could I find these rules and their updates in the future, in the CK codex or somewhere else?
>>
>>86835299

Yeah, more specifically it's the Fallen Hero rule. You can find it all on the codex, or just google "wahapedia chaos knights" and read it all there.

Mainly everything Erda did and all she revealed to have done in that book.
Like scattering the primarchs, which is dumb because we already knew in the past, it was the Chaos Gods, it doesn't need to exist.
Also her justification and motivations to do it are fucking dumb. She did it because she got pissed at the Emperor because he was going to use the primarchs as his generals.
Also she didn't like fucking with humanity's evolution and thought making artificial perpetuals and such in the primarchs is bad.
Also in general she didn't believe that the killing the Chaos Gods would even work.
Then add that once Emps realized what she did, he never came after her or retaliate in anyway even though Erda says Emps knows where she lives. Which makes no sense based on the Emperor is constantly now potrayed as a ruthless tyrant that will kill you for crossing him.

I guess that perpetual pussy does make you act unwise.

Also they have now completely up and killed the Ollanius Pious thing completely.
Now it is literally confirmed to be the case of like multiple individual events happening in the Heresy which have then morphed into one myth over time.
The guy who's actions would become the legend 10k years in the future is some random dude and they die not because they stood against Horus, but instead of fighting daemon Angron.

You certainly can, but bear in mind that will cost you 6 command points meaning you start the game with 0, so you can't get any warlord traits or relics. And CSM have some really good ones you will want.
If you like CKs, you can easily expand that into a full army. Hell, 2 more dogs will get you at the 1000 points threshold already. And you get Dread Auras which is a very fun mechanic.

IIRC an exchange between Malcador and Valdor during the Unification Wars implied that the Emperor viewing any of the primarchs as family to be treasured was actually weirder than if he had simply viewed them as tools to be used and discarded. >>
>>86835841

>>
>>86835831
Because Chaos and Warp has no rules and it can do whatever the writers want.
>"Does it break established canon and events? Yes, but it doesn't matter because Chaos and Warp can just do that."

This is the main reason why I view anything Chaos and Warp related as non canon to 40k.
Because it is better to just ignore it and like it doesn't exist.
>>
>>86835831
Because since warp is timeless, the moment Chaos and the dark gods were created, they existend from the beginning of time to the end of time, they were just hiding in super-warp in the past to wait for their birth. Because of reasons.

None of this makes any sense, ignore it. The writers don't know shit either and make it up along the way while pretending there's a consistent plan.

>>
>>86835629
First one is bad but could be potentially doable. Still probably a bad idea because Relics and WLTs are important, in some armies more than others.
Breaking your rules tho, that's just gonna be terrible to play. Breaking your rules doesn't even let you get warlord traits or artifacts, and basically there's a lot of power hidden away behind rules. You'd be playing with only datasheets and stratagems and there's a huge difference.
For example having your rules or not is the difference between a block of termies, or a block of termies with -1 to be wounded, objective secured, +1 to hit in overwatch and always fights first.
>>
>>86835844
Because whatever happened, happened and whatever didn’t, didn’t. The warp is paradox free time travel, read a book.

Be'lakor is human. He couldn't be alive at the time to know anything about Necrons, since the chaos gods only started making them *after* manifesting, which is during humanity's middle ages.

Absolutely. It keeps the iconic 3ed cadian armour and helmet design but adds the webbing and detail of the 2ed designs while fixing the helmet proportions to be more in line with the 2ed helmets. There's also a lot more variety in poses and bits than there was in the 3ed kit. I would have personally made the backpacks optional instead of sculpted on the torsos but I don't really mind them. 10 closed helmets would have been a nice touch for any fan of the hazard environment upgrades that are no longer availiable but there's options by scavenging bits or from 3rd party sellers.

Degrees of assholery may vary by people.
Original Fulgrim couldn't even kill Ferrus, the Daemon had to switch in to possess him.

Then SOMEHOW he then manages to go out of the painting, which is equivalent to some eldar possessing someone through his soulstone.
And then the lengh of assholery to Perturabo is really the best explainable for Keeper of Secrets, rather than Fulgrim himself.

Granted, he could have been corrupted and embracing the dark side, but then he would have strong enough will, if he gets possessed by a daemon.
Either the whole story with a painting is bullshit, or it's not Fulgrim who's now the snake-lady in the warp.

Fabius Bile: Manflayer had a funny take on this. Fabius pays a visit to Fulgrim's daemon world. As it turns out, the whole planet has been remade into a replica of old Chemos, and for thousands of years Fulgrim has been using the planet to run iterative simulations of his own origin story. So he's tried countless variables and made different decisions to see how things might turn out differently. He wants to perfect every step of his own journey.

And the kicker is that it doesn't matter. Nothing he does can change the fact that he's fundamentally just a deeply flawed, atrocious sack of shit. He'll never be purehearted or free of doubt or any other flaws. He literally can't be better than he is. We know that because he's literally run that experiment over and over with godlike powers over reality.

Sorry, I'm right and you're wrong. Especially now with GW redesigning the Guard to have more correct proportions and look more like a contemporary realistic soldier, the Russ sticks out like a sore thumb. They look a bit better if you kitbash/convert them all to hell by adding track guards, reducing barrel diameters, lengthening the chassis, get rid of the sponsons, etc., but it's still like putting lipstick on a pig. GW simply does not know how to design good looking vehicles, especially for the Imperium. The good looking ones are the exception rather than the rule.

That's why the only reason I even own official GW IG vehicles is for when I play a sperg that doesn't like 3rd party shit. Otherwise I just buy tank models that don't look pants-on-head retarded.

Maybe because those were never the significant racial symbols?
Eldar had lost MUCH more than Biel Tan before. To be fair I still think that's completely batshit on the part of GW, but at least it allows them to finally consider alliances.

Orks generally couldn't care less about Octarius itself, it was a fucking footnote up until the nuLore made it explode.

And Damocles was major Tau "victory", moron. Similar to the Winter War for Finns. What's there to remember? They didn't lost any iconic worlds or even lost anyone of note at all.
It was mostly a humiliating show for the Imperium.

And now Cadia literally stood for 10 millenia unconquered, survived 13 Black Crusades and a was finally beaten by retcon to make a point.
It's understandable both marketing gesture and propaganda piece.
Your butthurt is unsubstantiated.

This is really Chaosfags fault. For years the edgelords who play Chaos have been minging and whining about how GW hates them and doesn't give them good fluff and makes them out to be a joke. Abaddon was the butt of many of these jokes because he's a lolcow. So finally GW had to do something to address it and retconned Abaddon into actually being competent and accomplishing something, and Cadia fell in the most spectacular way possible.

So really all the "CADIA STANDS" and "THE PLANET BROKE BEFORE TEH GUARD" shit isn't so much IG players chest thumping as it is poking fun at Chaosfags who thought they won some great demoralizing victory or something.

Sure, but retcons don't exist in a vacuum.
GW may rewrite Abby lore to make him more competent, but for grogs or anyone just old enough to read the previous codexes it's as little more than amusing game of pretend.
Don't forget. Even GW didn't actually gave him the victory after all. He failed on the field and run away seething only to return and ruin the fun for everyone with those ruined Blackstone junk.

Abaddon is doomed to remain as hilarious armless failure in the real to the endless amusement of the gods, who could see the meta.

Yes it is.
Abaddon is *named* the most successful war leader. Without anything recorded to actually back this up, which is the whole point of the joke.
All of the 12 Black Crusades were described as beaten and repulsed and even 13 Black Crusade failed in the Eye of Terror campaign in back in 2003.
THAT's the lore.

The rewriting of the it does not make us forget the previously established canon. And given GW's declining competency, I see little reason to step away from this legacy.

Autism runs in the blood.

>The audience hall itself was reached only through a series of antechambers like locks on a canal, ascending towards the slope of the Hera’s Crown mountains. Each antechamber was separated by a broad corridor lined with murder holes and energy barrier generators – a killing field almost impossible to negotiate.

>Still none sought to bar their passage, the Ultramarines manning the posts silent as the black-clad First Legion swept imperiously into the last assembly hall.

>It was full of Space Marines in the livery of several Legions. Holguin ordered his men to stand fast as he spied Drakus Gorod across the antechamber. The Captain of the Invictus bodyguard saw him and the two met halfway across the tiled floor.

>‘I am here on the orders of the Lord Protector of the Imperium,’ Holguin announced grandly, drawing his greatsword, the tip rounded in the style of the Windmir reavers from whom he was descended. ‘The Lion of Caliban, primarch of the First Legion, declares Legatus Militant. All authority for the security and close protection of the Imperial Triumvirate and the environs of the Fortress of Hera reside in me and my officers. None shall pass into the presence of the Lords of the Imperium without express permission from me. By my life or death, I will guard them.’

>Gorod looked around the reception hall. Holguin followed his gaze, taking in the immobile ranks of the Deathwing, moving across the Ultramarines Cataphractii Terminators guarding the entryway, past the wounded Azkaellon and his Sanguinary Guard prowling at the doors to the audience chamber, before coming to rest on the Space Wolves watch-pack lounging at the far side of the hall. There were some White Scars as well, and a few dozen soldiers of the Praecental Guard. [...]

>The commander of the Invictarus elite turned his flat stare back to the leader of the Deathwing.

>‘Well, that’s a relief.’

No, the original campaign saw Abaddon's fleet smashed and his forces, while not finished, were stranded on the worlds they assaulted.
And while several minor worlds were captured, they were still uncomparable to the Cadian Gate and the fighting didn't stop, it was in put in stasis, with Chaos having ground superiority, while Imperium had fleet.

Abby's crowning achievement was just getting a few minor worlds at the gates of the Imperium.
Compare this to Horus now.

Dude, you are just showing that you have not read any EoT material.

The Imperials took control of the Spacing lanes, which prevented Cadia from being overrun. The traitors however continued to have orbital control over Cadia and have isolated them from the rest of the Imperium. The Imperial fleet couldn't aid Cadia without giving up the spacing lanes.

The Cadian Gate itself was breached, and the forces of Chaos were pouring into the Imperium. The text reads that it's now the start of the End Times.

You are really obnoxious with how secondary you are.

Dude just stop. This is getting desperate
>>
>>86836944
That's a creative interpretation of the events, dumbass.
Abaddon fucking threw everything he had at Cadia, while most Traitor Primarchs still chilled back in the warp.
Who was going to pour into the Imperium? People didn't got up from their asses to attack it in the first place?
The Chaos fleets were fucked, including Abaddon's then flagman Planetkiller.

Cadian Gate being breached means they managed to land and win some ground, not take it over. Not to mention the Imperials could always virus bomb them even if they did.

Oh, you meant "gay" as in "dumb" rather than "gay" as in "homosexual," gotcha.

Yeah, I completely agree that most Chapter names are pretty repetitive and stupid. That's what happens when you assign Jerry the intern to name 975 Chapters because your autistic fanbase won't stop screeching about having a full list of 1000 Chapter names.

Also you're gay.
>>
>>86837006
Nope. That's the actual lore. There is not a single piece of lore that says that the traitor fleets were fucked/ I dare you to prove it.

Let me post some of the excerpts from the EoT newsletter.

>THE BEGINNING OF THE END TIMES

>Darkness has fallen across a hundred worlds, and for the defenders of the Cadian Gate, the pure light of day now seems but a distant memory. Though the forces of the Despoiler have been denied the ultimate prize of the fall of Cadia, Abaddon’s hordes have gained a foothold upon the worlds of Man, and none can see them being repelled for many years to come. Abaddon and his council of three have outmanoeuvred and out fought the forces of the Imperium at almost every turn. Corpses litter the battlefields in their millions, yet millions more still stand beleaguered, against a foe that knows no mercy and whose only goal is the utter destruction of all who stand before them.

>The Thirteenth Black Crusade has broken the Imperium’s hold upon the Cadian Gate- perhaps forever. The raging tempest of the Eye of Terror has surged forth, engulfing those worlds lost to Chaos. The Imperium no longer bars the gate to the Eye, only a small channel remains through which Imperial Navy vessels may pass to bring aid to the desperate forces upon Cadia.

>At the close of the Thirteenth Black Crusade, Cadia still stands. But she stands alone, a failing beacon flickering against the encroaching night. Total war is come to Segmentum Obscurus, and all hopes of repelling the invaders are dashed. The Imperium must now consolidate its grip upon those worlds it still holds, and prepare to fight a war that will not end within the lifetime of any of its combatants. While Cadia still stands, humanity has reason to hope.
>>
>>86836987
Yes, it "says" victory.
Do you realize your picture still says
"The forces of Order HAVE HELD THE LINE in many places and Cadia itself still defies ... Abaddon"?
Abaddon partially succeeded... on his 13th try.

That's the lore that's been mocked unto death so GW itself retconned it and you still don't get it.

lorelet scum.

Let's post another excerpt from the final newsletter

>"he has breached the Cadian Gate, and none can now hold back the inexorable tide of Chaos unleashed upon the Imperium of Man."

>Cadia:

>The bleak moors of Cadia are reduced to a barren, crater-pocked wasteland, blasted by orbital torpedoes, super-heavy artillery and the footfall of titans. The Vilklas and Andur defence lines have collapsed under the relentless pressure of a million frenzied cultists, traitors and mutants, and the Cadian High Command has been forced to relocate to Kasr Gallan on the far side of the Caducades Sea. Though the Imperial Navy is in control of the inter-system space lanes, Chaos rules the skies above Cadia since the orbital defences fell in the opening days of the Black Crusade. The defenders of Cadia are now deployed around Kasr Gallan and throughout the Wastes, resolute that not a backward step shall be taken. The order is given- ‘stand at Cadia, or damn the Imperium of Mankind to the depredations of Chaos for all eternity’.
>>
>>86837058
Nope. You said that the 13th Black Crusade was a failure. I said it was a minor victory and it started the 40K End Times with Chaos pouring into the heart of the Imperium. The Crusade was ongoing with Abaddon having the upper hand. You just have fanfiction.
>>
>>86836856
What's up with his legs
>>
>>86837025
The "actual lore" was created on outcomes of the table, imbecile.
You can say it again that the whole Black Crusade wasn't everything Abaddon had.
>>
>>86837084
And you raped it to push your headcanon. All the lore I posted shows that Abaddon won the 13th Black Crusade not completely since Cadia didn't fall but the Cadian Gate as breached and Chaos is pouring into the Imperium.

The whole "the Chaos fleets were destroyed" narrative you invented is false. You dreamed it up.
>>
>>86837078
>You said that the 13th Black Crusade was a failure.
Yes and it still is for all it's intended result.
Terra is the heart of the Imperium, not Cadia.

This failure was the reason the Storm of Chaos, the WHFB was straight up retconned because Chaos sucked BALLS, again.
>>
>>86836654
>The only type of idiots you see try to pass their failures as successes and rewrite history into their delusional fantasies.
Chaos? The faction that had to have all their losses retconned into 5D chess victories.

>>
>>86837108
Nice goalpost move, dipshit. Terra wasn't the target. Destroying Cadia and breaching Cadian Gate so that Chaos can have free reign ravaging the Imperium at will, was the goal. Abaddon succeeded in breaching the Cadian Gate, perhaps forever. All of this started the End Times.

Abaddon won the 13th Black Crusade in EoT, and he won in the Gathering Storm. There is no way around it. You secondary idiot.
>>
>>86837121
Name three losses that were retconned. I can name 3 times when an Imperial loss was reversed in the lore.

Abaddon succeeded in *reaching* Cadia, you pathetic loser.
He didn't take it.
"Breaching" doesn't mean the blockade aren't there anymore. It just mean some straggler leaked into the Imperium.
That's not "free reign" as you fanficked it for yourself.

Abaddon "won" so hard it had to be retconned. There's no way around it indeed.
You go seeth together with Abby about secondaries stealing your victories, again.

>More fanfiction.
Abaddon besieged Cadia and with the Cadian Gate breached Chaos was pouring into the Imperium. The Eye of Terror was growing forward. It's in the text I posted above.

The Imperial fleet just control the spacing lanes toward Cadia. They aren't doing shit to the Chaos fleets that are attacking hundreds of worlds elsewhere. Learn to read. The text is above.
>>
Btw, that Eye of Terror campaign had been at the time of the creeping cheese for the chaos cunts.
They were statistically stronger and were groomed for victory which they didn't actually get.
>>
>>86837199
Not really. The first Black Crusade was about uniting Chaos and getting Drach'nyen.

The Black Crusades that were known at the time were just raids against specific targets like a sector navy base and the Kromarch fortress
>>86837210
Are you assuming that Abaddon and Vashtorr will honor their deals with each other at the final point?
>>
>>86835717

>>
>>86837225
>They were statistically stronger and were groomed for victory which they didn't actually get.
They got it. Andy Chambers in the article above said that Chaos players outfought and outwitted their counterparts almost at every turn. GW did its best to minimise their victory and then later they retconned it.
>>
>>86837225
Thanks guy who didn’t know what warhammer even was six years ago.
>>
>>86837215
Yeah, they're preventing the majority of Chaos fleets from congregating on Cadia, dispersing them, while Abby scratches at the gate.
>>86837252
You mean inflated. They even stated the "unexpected twists of fate and circumstance" which hurt their intention to declare Cadia fallen.
>>
>>86837285
>dispersing them, while Abby scratches at the gate.
He breached the gate. Like the text says, the gate was broken and perhaps forever. Chaos is streaming into the Imperium, and there is nothing stopping it. Want me to post each and ever line of the text above that you refuse to read?
>>
>>86837301
Read your own text, dipshit. The text says "some bastions" have fallen. Not the Gates.
Planetkiller and Blackstone fortresses were destroyed, Abaddon himself still mired on Cadia without support.
Chaos fleets having to to disperse to assault random worlds, where Imperium has other troops.

You desperately want this to be a victory much like GW did.
Which is why they retconned the whole history of failures into ChaosD-chess and the Fall of Cadia.
What are you complaining about then?
>>
Could be a stretch but some keen eyes nigga manage to see "The Rock besieged" in the Ark of Omen trailer.

Where does it say the Planet Killer was destroyed?
>Chaos fleets having to to disperse to assault random worlds, where Imperium has other troops.
Fanfiction.

>What are you complaining about then?
That you are a liar. They retconned it because they didn't like the new status quo with Chaos on top.
Lets go over each line.

1-"Abaddon’s hordes have gained a foothold upon the worlds of Man, and none can see them being repelled for many years to come."

2-"The Thirteenth Black Crusade has broken the Imperium’s hold upon the Cadian Gate- perhaps forever. The raging tempest of the Eye of Terror has surged forth, engulfing those worlds lost to Chaos. The Imperium no longer bars the gate to the Eye"

3-"Total war is come to Segmentum Obscurus, and all hopes of repelling the invaders are dashed."

This is a lovecraft reference. A little tragic that two anons mentioned Kingdom Hearts already but noone mentioned Lovecraft.

Exactly.

Your reading comprehension must be suffering with cock in your face, bro.
I said this from the start, fuckwit, the "lore" pretends Abby is a winner, when the actual results are fucking middling.

No. You are simply mistaken. The Planet Killer wasn't destroyed in EoT. At best there are reports that at least one of the BSF was destroyed. You suck at lore.
>Official lore tries to make Abby look like a winner and fails, because we can see the falling arms, and failure to get Cadia.
Nope. It's just you being a mental case. Anything that goes against you is fanfiction whether its old or new. You admitted defeat since you are not arguing with lore but with your own headcanon.

Horus failed.
Huron hasn't achieved anything worthy or succeded in any of his invasions.

>The Cadian Gate may not be open to Abaddon, but more of his followers are over the wall than ever before

The imperial fleet had control of space, which is why during the entirety of 4th edition the situation in cadia had forced a stalemate, forcing key lieutenants like Ygethmor to go to places like medusa V trying to get advantages elsewhere to tip the situation in their favour. This is also why 5th edition reset the timeline because they wanted to "do it again" for another big boost of sales and interest down the line, without letting pesky things like eldrad sacrificing himself pointlessly get in their way of selling a new eldrad model.

No. He didn't. He failed. And that was with half of the Imperium with him and the element of surprise.
