This is easily the least expensive option (they were print-n-play).- two current 1v1 games, FAB and Ashes, have said they're adding this mode within the next year- FFG has Arkham Horror, Lord of the Rings, and Marvel Champions, all of which are co-ops pitting one or more players against scenario decks that drive themselves- the old WoW tcg had dungeon decks and raid decks, which operated on the same principle

Today's Build Divide reveal is an Ultra Rare from the Fate set and notably an Ace.Beyond the Limit, Shirou Emiya<Title: Fate><Fate> [ACT] (Quick timing/Pay 2B, 1C, destroy this unit while it is rested with an Aura): Target 1 command card in your opponent's Cemetery, and play it without paying its cost. When that card would be put into the Cemetery, remove it instead.In addition to that, the entire Fate card list has been revealed due to the set releasing close to the National Championship to give players an ample amount of time to playtest. I will dump it later.
In other news, Aniplex revealed their plans for the second year of the game.The "new gimmick" of the second year will be multicolored cards. There are now 4 new divides and as such, 4 new "colors".(Blue-White) - Cyber World
(Black-Red) - Demons! Samurai! Warring World!
(White-Red) - Warped Story (seems to be circus/theater themed)
(Black-Blue) - Aim for Victory! (seems to be adventure focused visiting temples and caves and some tactical espionage)
The card frames will also change, removing the top part to give a fuller effect emphasizing the art.
Each divide will have its own mechanic.Blue-White will focus on "Quick Units." Units that can be played on the opponent's turn.
Black-Red will be able to modifiy the general rules. Special rules are written on the back of the territory. An example given was increased life and decreased starting hand.
Black-Blue will have the first ever Buster Command cards. They will have the "Legacy" keyword allowing you to play them from the Cemetery.
White-Red will focus on "Shot Units". Units that can be played when revealed as Shot triggers.
Starter deck 5 will be Blue-White. The main Ace is †Rookie Scout† Yuma.

wanted to point something out for all my netrunner bros in case you didn't see it. the artist formerly known as NISEI stepped up and actually restored my faith in humanity a little bit, re: the card back bullshit.for those unaware, they recently decided to change their card backs mid-stream, creating (unsurprisingly) a huge backlash in the community. this was doubled down on by announcing it in a blog post that can best be described as snarky.BUT they more recently put up a subsequent post that apologized for that, and after talking to some of them subsequently it seems like it was honestly just a blind spot. more importantly, they're creating a card-exchange thing for anybody that got shafted by having a mix of old and new backs on current-era cards. it's still a bit of a PITA, but they're obviously going way out of their way to right a wrong.

They work fine stand alone and you can try multiple combinations of the cards before you ever feel like expanding them. The revised is a more stable? Experience compared to the original, but either of them are quite fun.The other option is to head to NISEI's website and PnP the cards aimed for beginners (I forget the set name). Nisei is the fan community who currently handles updates to the game, so if you feel like dipping your toes into an active scene at a potentially significantly lesser cost, you can always start here. There should be a guide somewhere that shows you which cards to print.As for expansions, it's just more cards. If you're getting the FFG cards then go ahead and find the ones that have your favourite faction. Even easier with the Nisei cards since you can just print which ones you want, though there is a format where you can't use the older set I think.

Super basic Wixoss timing question here. If I use the first ability on this card to get some signis on the field, would they count for either of the other two abilities?

With rare exception of some use conditions like Heaven’s Gate, all card effects usually don’t look for their conditions or targets until they’re actually happening. A very easy example is if a spell like Search Light wants 20 cards in your trash but you only have 19 before casting it, you pay the cost fully (1 ener in this case) and move a card from ener to trash before the spell will even care about trash size.Also in case you didn’t know, all “choose” effects like that resolve in order so you can never use options 2 or 3 before option 1.
