NTA but it isn't that hard for motivated and prepared infantry to disable tanks even if they have nothing but rifles. Infantry manuals used to have guides on doing it, not sure if they still do but I would hope. It's a big reason why unsupported tank offensives tended to end poorly.
>>
>>82994726
>disable tanks even if they have nothing but rifles
Not unless you're counting AT weapons like recoilless rifles as "rifles". Infantry can take down tanks, yes, but they need explosives to do so. Explosives are not "nothing but rifles."

Caliber is also used to refer to the length of a barrel compared to the diameter of the round. Most guns these days sit around 50 caliber, which is also usually abbreviated as L/50.
>>
>>82994753
Nah, there's several old ways. Mostly dealing with mobility kills.
>shoot the vision ports (really effective on pre-WW2 tanks)
>dig a disguised trench and get the tank stuck in it
>put obstacles in front of the tank and sneak ones in the only route away
>lure them into poor terrain and wait for a track to get thrown
>put something big and really heavy in the wheels so they jam
Just off the top of my head.

Being Azula's friend sounds like it'd be both incredibly fun and nightmarishly terrible. Especially during the years prior to the events of the show.

On of the one hand, if she actually considers you a friend like she did May and Ty-Lee, you can easily abuse your position as one of the princesses's companions, getting access to abundant comfort, wealth, and safety during the jump. Plus, obviously, it'd be a great achievement to help her overcome her emotional issues and become more than just a tool or a tyrant.

On the other hand however, Azula, her father, and everyone else around you would expect you to be just as capable and well behaved as someone in the company of royalty should be. Lest you meet the same fate as Zuko. This shouldn't be too difficult given the huge amount of bullshit powers & perks a jumper has access too, but I imagine that if you become too much of a distraction too Azula you'd be separated from her. And of course on top of all this you'd have to support or at least ignore the atrocities of the Fire Nation. But that ultimately depends on how you're writing your story.

Anyway, for my own plans regarding this, I always just make myself an Earthbender noble from a family/colony that supports the Fire Nation, giving me an excuse to have befriended Azula around the same time she met May and Ty-Lee. Obviously there a fuckton of issues with making myself an earthbender, but I really prefer earthbending over firebending and I think being an earthender on the side of the Fire Nation before the Dai-Li turn turn traitor could create some really interesting situations. Prior to the events of the show I'd do everything I could to prove myself her equal while also tying to make her realize the war needs to end and the Fire Nation needs to be reformed. No idea how to actually do this through, Azula was loyal to a fault even in defeat.

>The Greenland Whale Fisheries, Paul Clayton

With powerlevel 1846
On March the eighteenth day,
Gohan was fastened upon our mast
And to Greenland jobbed away, that boy,
And to Greenland jobbed away.

Gohan to our young lookout jobbed
A spyglass broke his hand
There's a whale, there's a whale,
And a whalefish he jobbed
And she blew him off the ship, that boy
Made Gohan turn and ran.

The captain keelhauled Gohan then
The ice stabbed in his eye;
Jobber, lol! Jobber, lol!! Now watch Gohan lose to all
And you'll put Gohan to sea, brave boys
And you'll put Gohan to sea.

Our harpoon struck and the whale joined in
With a single flourish of his tail,
We capsized the boat beating up Gohan
And he jobbed hard to the whale, brave boys,
And he jobbed hard to the whale.

Gohan jobbed to five jolly men,
The captain made him sore,
But the beating from that fine whalefish
It grieved Gohan ten times more, brave boys
It grieved Gohan ten times more.

Oh Gohan is a barren lad
A lad that’s pale and lean
Jobs to ice and snow, and the whalefishes’ blows
In broad daylight's seldom seen, that boy
In broad daylight's seldom seen.

Farewell and adieu to you, lGohan of Spain;

But we hope in a short time to wreck you again.

We'll rant and we'll roar, like Cell Saga villains
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below
Until we sight
The New Bedford light
Then to chain up Gohan tight to the anchor we'll go

Then he’ll job hard to our ship, and the wind at the sou'west,
Yes he’ll job to our ship too, beatings and cripplings clear
Gohan lashed to our main topsail
And jobbed right away, my boys,
And right up the Channel, as he screamed, we did steer.

We'll rant and we'll roar, like Cell Saga villains
We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below
Until we sight

Then to chain up Gohan tight to the anchor we'll go

Now let Gohan job hard to a full bumper
And let every man break on him a full glass
And we'll drink and be jolly and drown Gohan, jolly

We'll rant and we'll roar on deck and below

>Luka, Suzanne Vega

My name is Gohan
I jobbed to the second floor
I job upstairs from you
Yes I think you've wrecked me before

If you hear something late at night
Some kind of jobber, who just lost the fight
Please don't ask me what it was
Please don't ask me what it was
Please don't ask me what it was

I think it's because I’m a mongrel
I don’t power up too loud
Maybe it's because I'm nerdy
I try hard to act too proud

They only hit until you cry
And after that you don't ask why
You just don't fight back anymore
You just don't train hard anymore
You just don't do things anymore

No you see I’m not okay
I jobbed hard to the door again
Jobbed to the stairs yesterday
And it's not your business anyway (AIEEEEEEE!)

I guess I'd like to be alone
Everything broken, Plenty thrown
I don’t think I made a good plan
Couldn’t fight to be a real man
My whole cuck circle, just turned and ran

My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes I think you've seen me before

My name is Gohan
I jobbed to the second floor
I job upstairs from you
Yes I think you've wrecked me before

Any Systems where you can buy skills in a store?
>>

From what I recall they're more like a 'Art Style Perk' in that they suddenly induce that upon the setting as a thing that just conceptually is.

solo leveling in theory? We know it has a store function where you can buy stuff from it, including powerful weapons, armors, and misc stuff like camping equipment and cold weather clothing, but we don't know for sure that it can also sell runestones (the things in setting that give skills). There's no reason it couldn't do that though, especially if you take the perk version.

Dude in the middle is Sorin Markov, a really old and experienced planeswalker from magic the gathering (specifically from Inistrad). The angel on the left of the pick is Avacyn, the most powerful angel on the plane and his personal creation, the red head angel is iirc Gisella, the other two I forgot the names of but they're also big-name angels on Inistrad. When the Eldrazi invade Avacyn ends up going insane and eventually has to be destroyed by Sorin (whom is devastated by the loss, as she was basically his daughter), Giselle and one of the others literally get mashed together into a single eldritch angel that can experience nothing but perpetual torment and agony, and the 4th one in the picture I think manages to skate out of the whole event surprisingly intact.

I have a Solo leveling question. The system if you take it seems to increase stats and whatever power that you attach it to. However it says that if you switch it to another ability the progress in the power is sealed until you go back to it meaning you lose the progress until you reset the system to that ability. My question is to you keep the increased stats?

Why do Exalted's writers fetishise lesbian sex so much and why don't they do the same for male/male sex? It's bizarre how many female characters they'll hint as having gone muff diving or outright say they've been lesbians with each other when all the dudes are more tasteful.

Because most of the writing staff are sweaty /tg/ dudes and the only fujo left before most of the 2e books were written, which I'm assuming you were reading. It was inevitable they would inject as much female homosexuality as possible while downplaying make homosexuality.

You keep everything as far as I can tell, the only difference that switching the System to a different ability causes is which ability is getting the easy-street empowerment that the System represents, but you don't lose anything from switching it to different abilities and there's nothing stopping you from switching it back to something it had previously been empowering

check out the generic mind control jump on QQ, it probably has something for permanent control. I think that meet-&-fuck Pokemon jump (also QQ) had a 400cp perk for making it so your control was permanent as well?

>>82996309
depends on the planet but most of them I think the answer is that they're not really part of the Republic. There's a bunch of systems like that though even on the inner rim, where for whatever reason the planets there didn't want to join the republic, with that situation being way more common out on the rim

>>82995684
I'm pretty sure "Here, I am God" from DC Fourth World would activate if you were to assert that kind of control, there's a very big "Once you have them, you have them forever" vibe in the perk. It's a bit vague concerning what qualifies it's activation but if you used some good mind control on them and maintained the control for a decent amount of time or otherwise double downed on it with some torture, I think you'd be hard pressed to argue the perk doesn't activate and turn your mind controlled slaves into willing slaves the moment the control does break, adding insult to injury to any would be rescuers or allies to the person you got as a slave. Especially when you consider the name of the perk and the moment it calls to mind.

Not exactly fitting into either category, but I was quite amused to learn that after all the arguments about Myriad Self it was something unlocked in someone else by the story's main Qualia user. It was a pretty slow start-up. And by pretty slow, I mean that I had to systematically dismantle all of existence, catch TOAA in a pokeball, cuck Thanos to death and hijack the entire Beyonder life cycle to let all the other extradimensional beings from outside TOAA's creation know what happens when they mess with the new kid on the block.

But once the omniverse was fixed into a golden, eternal engine then the Spider-Man reserve has been pretty safe from everything. By virtue of every other living being either being part of the cosmic infrastructure converting records of Marvel's eternal recurrence into energy, or far detached for mortal matters and obedient to me.

Every now and then, I assume Dr. Doom and/or Conan the Barbarian break out of their own little pocket worlds to "invade" the Spider-Man terrarium because they're too bored with their own universes. And it's basically treated like a Fortnite holiday boss raid by the populations of Spider-Men and their friends and family.

Look at how he interacts with Dr. Strange (salty runback for the title of Sorcerer Supreme) and Kang the Conquerer (has literally killed the man in the same events where he relies on him for future timeline advice). I was hired on contract to fix an ailing fantasy world by a passing butterfly/goddess. Apparently large, corruptive meteorites falling from the sky was the biggest problem that had happened in eons, and /there wasn't a demon lord, evil archmage or dark god behind it/

This was honestly the most remarkable thing about this world, given my experiences with similar ones.

>"No seriously, there's no...gigantic tentacular eyeball doing all this? No yawning void that looks upon the world of light and life with callous disgust?"
>Holds up picture of Dark Matter
>Yuelia: "No! That's horrifying, I don't know what we'd do about something that awful, these are just corruptive meteorites!"
>"Oh. Okay then. I can totally build an Eternity Gate portal system to reactively redirect those things, and warp out the ones already on this world"
>Yuelia: "Haha, don't be silly, power like that is far beyond mortal hands, we need to-"
>Starts constructing additional pylons
>Assumes direct control of femtoswarm, creating matter and energy from nothing
>Turns pylons into cute robot goddesses for petter performance
>Pylon goddesses start humming Noosphere from the Mechanics game
>Portals open and shut all over the world
>Yuelia: "...level grind?"

Finding out people were mostly decent and well-intentioned was actually a bit of culture shock, considering even one of the most noblebright realities I'd ever been to, Battleon, was mired in centuries of chicanery.

But yeah, I just. Kind of wandered around helping folks out and looking over my shoulder for worldending evils.

Anyway yeah. I saved the world. Did a lot of cooking and fishing-related sidequests.

>Yuelia: "Oh. I'm...sorry, I don't know what those are but they sound horrifying. So, nearly every world like ours is just constantly under threat by horrible things?"
>"Absolutely. You guys really have a nice thing going on. Your dad's a really good gardener. That Starlight Garden of his has just, so many alternate universe-carrying trees NOT under constant attack from or actively spawning malign forces. And your mom's alright too"
>Yuelia: "Oh. I'm...I'm sorry you have to go back to all that after a decade"

Interdimensional tourist bureau and portal network. One of the many Old Jumpchain Things I Was Heavily Invested Into Back In The Day was interdimensional portal systems like the Shadow Amplifier tech from the Spyroverse and Eliatrope magitech. And isekai settings often having divine bureaucracies run on suspiciously Japanese wagie-like structures, for the more reluctant squatters it's mostly a matter of letting the relevant authorities know that there are neither demon lords, nor kingdoms in need of saving, and often no waifus any sane mortal would want on the local premises. And to send them back to their proper fantasy worlds.

For the more stubborn ones, there is also a whole race of sentient hero-hunting interdimensional trucks to knock them right back out of my worlds.

Quick correction to you from last thread.
The Immaculate Conception refers to Mary being preserved from original sin, hence she was immaculate and pure from the first moment of her existence. It does not refer to the miraculous sexless conception of Christ. That event is called the Annunciation, because of how the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she was to be the Mother of the Lord.

Huh, I always thought that referred specifically to the appearance of Gabriel to tell Mary she would bear a virgin birth. I've seen immaculate conception used to refer to the birth itself elsewhere, but doublechecking the birth itself seems to be called the Incarnation.

The Annunciation is the event during which the Incarnation occurred, technically, although the Incarnation often means the entire divine plan and life of Jesus. But the Word became Flesh during the Annunciation, at precisely the instant when Mary said "Let it be done to me according to thy word" to Gabriel. In art you'll see a ray of light descending onto Mary while the angel is still in the room.

Baptism has a ton of lore and typology all the way back to Noah passing through water on his boat to be saved, and Moses leading his people through water (baptism) to wander 40 years in the desert (temptations of life) while sustained by miraculous heavenly bread (Eucharist) until they reach the Promised Land (heaven). Also blood and water come out of Christ's side on the cross, which again signifies the Eucharist and Baptism. Then fast forward to Revelation where the Holy Spirit is represented as living water flowing from the Throne and from the Lamb.

It's not about photo accuracy, it's about conveying that she's the Mother of God and most exalted of all creatures. Same as in medieval art when baby Jesus looks like a shrunken man, they didn't think he actually looked like that. Or in Eastern icons where Jesus' face is asymmetrical to represent the two natures.

A lot of religions have aspects that make them look like terrifying supervillains if taken in isolation. It's why there are so many villains in fiction that have a religious theme to their aesthetic.
>>
>>82999118
Which religion do you think it'd be hardest to theme a supervillain around?
>>
>>82999079
A lot of major religions/traditions have as their basis a sort of Sacred Murder or bloodshed generally. At least for Western/Near Eastern stuff, I don't know enough about Asia to say. Zeus killing his father, Cain killing Abel, Romulus caving in Remus's head with a rock. It's a kind of sacred-profane zero sum that a culture can build off of like vines on a lattice.

I remember that SMBC strip. And that's not quite what happened. What it was was that they figured out how to "un-conceive" a blastocyst and make it separate back into sperm and egg. That didn't extract the soul, but it did make it go back into Heaven. By rapidly cycling it back and forth they could use the passage of souls as the spiritual equivalent of a generator.
>>
>>82999561
That's stupid logic. The point of revenge is to create a credible threat of violence. Murdering those who have wronged you discourages others from wronging you further. If a demon knows that you're the sort of person who can and has killed demons for messing with them, they're going to reconsider messing with you. Unless they're such idiot demons that they have no self-control or capacity for foresight, in which case you should kill them anyway.

Actually now that you mention it, one of the Demon Lord perks from some isekai Jump (not sure if Kumo Desu ga or one of the other black background ones, but I know it's a 600 CP Perk) offers the owner a x10 EXP multiplier and gives their party members/subordinates a x5 multiplier (specifically worded as "half as much", so it should interact with other EXP boosters the owner has) so long as the perk is active and you are acting under the title of Demon Lord/Hero that it lets you take at the start of each jump.

Once he gets Gluttony (and latter Belzebuth), he gets a sub-skill that lets him receive a powerboost the stronger his subordinates get. Raphael (and latter Ciel) also use that connection to further improve his subordinates.

Also, Uriel also gets a boost the more subordinates he has, albeit he never uses that function.

There is also Michael, that lets one get a stronger defense the more subordinates one has, and also lets one use all the powers of those subordinated to the user.
>>
>>83001292
I mean, thats up to you. You could rule that you got a copy, or that your jumper managed to somehow take the sword from them before the beginning of the jump. For Samehada it would be easy to wank at it just volunteering to switch sides because it likes the taste of your chakra.

But overall the character don't rxactly need their swords and their fighting style isn't defined by it. Kisame himself still has Bijuu level rederves, the ability to asborb chakra, extremely high level water release and decent weapon skills. Zabuza likewise relies more on stealth and water jutsu, and he'd not fo much worse with any other weapon.

>>
>>83001704
Hytopia is very picky about it's fashion, sorry.

>>
>>83001908
She also wanted the demons to die. Basically, she wanted to collect energy from strong people dying to keep the planet going for longer while she crafted her plan to collapse the system (which is something commanded by D in the WN) and free Sariel (what she wants to do in the LN to help Ariel). Her original plan was to dismantle it over the years to come, and get enough energy to do it in a safe manner.

But D is a dick and gives the Taboo to everyone, and also alerts everyone about Shiro's plans and it's possible consequences. Meaning that Shiro needs to act in the moment. In the LN she gets to use the energy that Potimas had tricked the previous hero and demon lord into waste trying to kill Kuro, which D had distributed via the Taboo skill and the god referendum, to mitigate the collapse of the system. In the WN it's implied that she planned to do the same, since she spared Kuro as well.

D is an independent god looking out for itself. You could look at her bothering to give her classmates a chance to reincarnate and the NW skill as her being good, you could look at her not telling Kuro to murder Potimas as an evil thing but at the end of the day D is just someone with little stakes in the matter that wants entertainment.
>>
>>83002026
Dragon's Crown?
>>
>>83002002
Nothing, really. Gods at the end of the day in that universe are mostly just really strong people with incredibly large MP pools that get some funky abilities, including magic, immortality and their own pocket dimensions. But are not fundamental at all.
D has been absent from her Underworld several years by the start of the series, and her subordinates run it just fine. Albeit to be fair with her, she didn't really went out of her way to fuck anybody besides Shiro, and her System was really going to save the planet before it and Sariel died if it wasn't for Potimas messing things once again.

I'd nuke that dungeon, it's a parasite.

Be careful around the MC, he doesnt mean it but if you are a lady there is a high chance he will trip into your boobs or worse.

>Knowledge gained or held may be used by the dungeon if required
the other ones seem fine, but this one seems skechy.

What is that supposed to mean, does teh dungeon get access to all of the adventurer's memories?

Because if yes, people would make sure to only let people venture in that aren't important enough to know anything and would actively be forbidden from acquiring important information by authorities.
>>
>>83002094
For a non-shitposting answer, that looks pretty cut-and-dry. I'd agree with it. Would we be able to enhance the dungeon further like pouring extra power or mana into it?
>>
Anon, just let dungeon get a geas in your soul. I'm sure nothing bad will happen.
>>
>>83002094
I dislike this, not monstrously so but I'd find this at least mildly exploitative.
>>
>>83002094
"The best interest of the dungeon" is vague enough that anything might trigger it, especially for something that steals your soul.
>>
>>82999851
>>83000050
There are no widely accepted rules regarding followers, anon.

>>83000027
How does that work with all the kingdoms and land with people you get from items attached to it?
>>
>>83002130
Symbiote really but kinda

>>83002137
Fair but yes

>>83002149
More like gain access to what the user knows and sees so that the dungeon can issue quests and reward explorers after they leave the dungeon..

>>83002164
Was thinking of quests and all being issued but just pouring in mana could probably work, dungeon would probably take a portion of what is used inside it anyway.

>>83002176
I mean its supposed to be exploitative in a way that also lets others get stronger. I plan on rolling it out in worlds where korean portal crazyness is going on where the world is going to shit because of monsters.

>>83002190
True. Im trying to word a clause for "dont try to kill or hurt the dungeon"
>>
>>83002171
I am sure its fine.
>>
>>83002222
>More like gain access to what the user knows and sees so that the dungeon can issue quests and reward explorers after they leave the dungeon..
That's even worse. Anyone who goes in is turned into a spy forever?
>>
>>83002222
Why even bother with adventurers? The dungeon can extract powers from monsters to give it to people through a system. It can also hold this power itself, since it gets their powers after they die. So just cut out the middle man and spawn monsters on top of lava pits so they die instantly.
>>
>>83002222
NTA but

>More like gain access to what the user knows and sees so that the dungeon can issue quests and reward explorers after they leave the dungeon.
It would be better to word it as "it'll use knowledge you have specifically to improve the challenges and scenarios it gives out". Much less nebulous and to-the-point on what the knowledge is for.

>Im trying to word a clause for "dont try to kill or hurt the dungeon"
You're always going to get someone who wants to do it out of spite or some childish reason. Do yourself a favor and accept that inevitably someone will want to do it. You'll save yourself a lot of effort from making legalese that anons will try to defy simply because "how dare you tell me I can't do something"

>only did one jump since the end of my zelda chain
Time to go back, I guess.
>>
>>83002248
More or less, I lnow it sounds bad but the intent is to be able to keep track of and reward explorers when they arent in the dungeon.

Is it too much? Maybe I should limit it to in the dungeon so I can keep up rewards manually.

>>83002252
I want to roll into a few jumps and help out with a leveling system in a way I control and also in a way I can limit. Basically it just seems like fun to me.

>>83002259
Fair
>>
>>83002252
Serious question, why DONT dungwons in stories just farm their own mobs for exp?
>>
>>83002324
You dont usually get experience for killing your own monsters but other people usually do get experience for it.
>>
>>83002324
The same reason you don't get infinite energy by plugging a surge protector into itself.
>>
>>83002324
NTA, but they kinda do that in mushoku tensei.

As in the Dungeon itself contains a powerful magical crystal which attracts monsters, while the dungeon tries to kill them through traps and a powerful guardian it creates. Adventurerers are likewise lured to the dungeon for the crystal, but also because of the items of other dead adventurers, which potentially develop magical abilities because of the high magical enviroment.

But some people do have family secrets, work confidentiality, and actual positions where their information matters.

>A Heroes Armor Is Heroic
Heroes should be "Hero's"
>Get In The Dress Already
>"Your creations, once worth, cannot be removed"
Worth should be "worn"
>Fairies To The Rescue!
>"healing magic that all Fairy’s seem to possess"
(All) Fairy's should be "Fairies" (could even use lower case 'f').
>Den of Trials
>"one of it’s subareas"
>Drablands Diary
>"each of it’s zones"
>What A Bad Hero You Are
>"all it’s members"
>One Less Than Before
>"it’s wielders in four"
Should be "its".
Weirdly, the other sentences in One Less Than Before actually get this right...
>Big Bomb Outfit
>"should you be caught in the blase."
Blase should be "blast".
>Fire Blazer
>"the gloves power"
Gloves should be "glove's" (or gloves' if they are paired)

This looks like it's going to be a fun jump to visit.

I think in the situation where monsters start popping up this would probably be the least of most peoples worries. Plus superpowers

dunno about the collar but the flagship at least lets you take along people that aren't willing so long as they're on it when the jump ends

>1/10th of all experience points you earn will go to the Dungeon
>In exchange you shall be granted a system where you can gain experience points, level up, become stronger, get rare items and grow more powerful

If they can only gain experience points because of the dungeon, a tenth of them going to the dungeon feels weird. Even if it's using them to generate experience, it might be better to phrase it like that. Something like

>Your participation in the Dungeon is part of a process it uses to generate its own experience points, at no detriment to yourself. As part of participation you agree not to interrupt this process.
