Yu-Gi-Oh is gay and by posting in this thread, regardless of the content of your message(s), you are hereby agreeing that it is gay and that so are you.
>>81719472Blessed ass. Can't wait for you to hit the tcg
>>81719487speaking of, i look forward to eventually seeing buff dude yugioh fanart.
post bad cards you still play just to see your opponent's reaction
>>81719902After playing 4 different virtual world players at my locals for weeks, I started bringing this with trap trick just so I can watch my opponent banish 10 to give me advantage

Can someone tell me what card the op of the last thread is supposed to be?>>81688154
>>81720540You better not be more than $25 a piece on release day....
literally what the fuck is this retarded archetype
>>81720910Get pranked, nerd
How do I effectively make use of trap trick? It telegraphs what trap I'm putting down.
>>81721120What traps are you running? If your opponent simply knowing what trap you set is enough to completely avoid it without giving up any resources, then you could probably be using better traps.
>>81720488i dont get any horror vibes from them
>>81721155sorry i mean much, there are some cool designs here that fit
>>81720910It's peak Yugioh. The archetype that looks like it was made for seven year olds is actually galaxy brained and requires proper sequencing, resource management, and memorization. >>81721120It's pretty simple. You have to use it as a last resource since it gives you one more trap per turn but other than that it's just a blank card that acts as another copy of other traps in your deck. The opponent knowing what you have also doesn't matter. They have to get rid of it, play around it, or play through it either way. Since it's whatever you need it to be that puts it on you to grab the card that makes it the hardest for them to actually gain advantage. Trap decks are a lot harder to actually win with than people give them credit for but properly using your resources makes you infinitely better as a player.
Organizing old cards. This one looks cool.
For that guy who was asking about cynet regression last thread, i was at worm and misread the card. Its an if effect not a when effect so ip doesnt need to be chain link 1 for it to resolve, but it does need to be in a new chain after whatever chain you activated ip in has fully resolved and because its an if even if your opponent activates a card in response to your summon as long as it isnt negated you can still activate the regression. Sorry for the confusion.
>>81721146>>81721234What I'm taking away from this is that I should be picking a trap that would dissuade my opponent from making further plays.I'm not sure what traps I want to run yet, some ideas I have are torrential tribute if I think they will continue to combo or mirror force if I think they are done and are in a position to walk over my board.
SD43-JP001 Tri-Brigade MercourierDARK Winged Beast / EffectLV4 800/0You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.(1) When your opponent activates a monster effect and you control a Fusion Monster that lists “Fallen of Albaz” as material (Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand or field to the GY; negate that effect.(2) If this card becomes banished: You can add 1 “Fallen of Albaz” or 1 monster that lists that monster in its text from your Deck to your hand, except “Tri-Brigade Mercourier”.SD43-JP002 Sprigguns Kitt (Springans Kitt)Level 4 DARK Beast Effect MonsterDARK Beast / EffectLV4 1700/1000You can only use the 1st and 2nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.(1) If you have a Fusion Monster that lists “Fallen of Albaz” as material on your field or in your GY: You can Special Summon this card from your hand.(2) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 of your “Branded” Spells/Traps that is banished or in your Deck or GY to your hand, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck.SD43-JP003 Ken’en no Soukenshi (Unlikely Swordsoul Allies)LIGHT Spellcaster / Tuner / EffectLV4 1800/1500You can only use the 2nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.(1) When a monster declares an attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, negate that attack, then, if you control a Fusion Monster that lists “Fallen of Albaz” as material, you can destroy the attacking monster.(2) If a monster becomes banished face-up: You can banish this card from your field or GY; Special Summon 1 LIGHT Spellcaster monster whose ATK equals its own DEF from your hand or GY.
What are some places to look for yugioh cards that you wouldn't expect to carry them? Big box stores suck around here and I kind of want to try looking for some older releases.
>>81721423SD43-JP020 Shitsurakuin (Paradise Branded)Continuous SpellYou can only use the 2nd effect of this card’s name once per turn.(1) The activation of your cards and effects that include an effect that Fusion Summons a Fusion Monster cannot be negated, also your opponent’s cards and effects cannot activate when a monster is Fusion Summoned this way.(2) If you Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster: You can add 1 “Fallen of Albaz” or 1 monster that lists that card in its text from your Deck to your hand. This structure deck seems paperclips and pieces of string tier.
>>81721167they're literally corpses reanimated through the power of hatred and suffering. i think that's pretty spooky.
>>81721423>best brigade girl as a level 4 springans extender>it's just more albaz support and doesn't do the springans' attachGot my hopes really high for a second there, now I'm just sad.
>>81721344Thank you!So the order is this1st chain:CL1: opponent does something idkCL2: I activate I:P 1st chain resolvesI link summon into Evil Twin Sunny TroubleCL1: I activate Cynet Regression (Does my opponent get to respond to my link summon before I do?)Since the link summon occurs after the first chain resolves, if say CL1 from the first chain was AA Zeus sending everything to the graveyard, would my link summon occur after Zeus and I get to keep my summon?
>>81721431Not sure on yugioh but Barnes and Nobles had the latest pokemon stuff. When I went on the day of release in the morning, I was the only person there.
>>81721456I'm kind of annoyed too. These are all Branded cards with effects that are allusions to their story archetype. Depending on how they end up being tied together by the boss monsters they could just be a messy soup of themes and effects that don't really do anything.
>>81721481This is not Magic the Gathering. You cannot add new chain links while a chain is resolving. Whatever you add needs to be placed at the highest chain link and once both players stop adding links, the whole chain resolves at once.
>>81721423>>81721434I was wondering when Theo and Adin would show up again.
>>81721563it's 2 different chains
>>81721563I'm confused now. Does my link summon occur before or after the resolution of CL1 in the first chain?
>>81719902>>81719979So many players at my locals play a variation of Eldlich en 2 of em sometimes bring their frog decks so I started putting Jinzo in my sidedeck
>>81721560Albaz fusions are already a weird mess of 2500 beaters with incongruous effects, that's pretty much beyond saving, but I hope we get that structure deck over here since I kinda enjoy the mess.
>>81721653I’m responding to their question of Zeus vs Masq.>>81721663If you activate Masq in response to Zeus CL2 resolves and you summon and CL1 resolves and your shit gets wiped.
>>81721762I see, but if it wasn't zeus and nothing was wiped I could activate cynet regression and that would occur in a new chain after the first chain is fully resolved. Which player gets to respond to the summon first? It is my opponents turn.
Guys. I pulled 10k dragon from the first booster box.
>>81722225Congrats man! I don't even know what the card does but I think it works similar to pot of greed
Are there any relatively powerful decks that don't have a handful of cards that by themselves cost the same as the rest of the deck? It's getting really disappointing to find a cool archetype I want to try out only to discover I need X specific card printed once 5 years ago that doubles the decks price by itself.
>>81722398Grab 3 copies of a structure deck and go from there. The cyber dragon one is pretty good and none of the missing extra deck cards cost more than 2 bucks each.
Is this correct?Link devotee was summoned and got hit with infinite impermanence which negated the effect stopping me from link summon 3 and higher. I tribute link devotee using Link disciple causing link devotee to move to the graveyard and then this activates the "if this card is tributed" clause of Link Devotee while Devotee is in the graveyard. The devotee in the graveyard is a different devotee than the devotee on the battlefield (due to zone changing), the imperm does not apply to the devotee in the graveyard. The correct play would have been to Call by the grave the link devotee when it triggered the "if this card is tributed" clause.
>>81721423Ngl I'm pretty excited to try Albaz.dek once it has enough of its weird hybrid support to form a deck of its own
>>81722398I think ABC machines can be built for very cheap, and isn't terrible even today, the galaxy soldiers can be replaced with other negations, enablers, or OTK cards
i want to see chain link mechanics get brought back in a similar way to how column did.
>>81722597I'll look up to see if I can find some builds to base myself on, dont know much about them other than that all of their main monsters are union and that there was one deck that won a tournament.
>>81722597Finished checking them out, if they're anything like they seem to be I love it. They're just so simple, but effective. Of I skip on the extra deck staples the deck really is cheap as hell and fairly competent. Thanks bro.
For your main deck pre-side, what balance of going first and going second cards do you run? Or do you only run cards usable in both situations?I find myself really struggling going second so I think i should put in some strong going second cards
What tournaments have you gone to? What did you play? How did you do? What was the toughest duel? I want to hear your stories.
>>81719472lmao this OP is ass
>>81723214I stop by my occasional local tournament bracket from time to time, if not to participate myself then to support my friends who may be. I've played a "pure" Sacred Beast deck for as long as I can remember, something obviously made a lot easier with the support that came in last year, suffice to say I don't exactly... place all too well for the most part, but it's never mattered to me all too much. Anyway.A day that stands out to me above all else was a time one of the participants entered with their Magician Girls and had their Dark Magician Girl card reportedly stolen from his deck, it was a really rare one too. It wasn't me. The venue was placed under a lockdown and we were all searched for about an hour or two before the boys could get to the bottom of what happened. I'm not even sure if he found that card in the end.I learned that day that it is an incredibly stupid idea to use particularly rare cards in a deck you're looking to play out in public with strangers, and counted my blessings that my own cards didn't befall a similar fate. Met a few new friends during the nonsense, mind you, but still. People lose their minds over their special cards, I tell you what.
>>81723291Getting my shit stolen really turns me off from packed stores. Too many people going around.
>>81723214Never played in tournament, only went to a sneak peek once, Shining Victories. A girl pulled Crystal Wing and actually managed to summon it with the fucking draft deck and rekt me. It was fun, but creepiness, stench and autism discourage me from attending events. I wish there was some posh YGO place, like a nice Casino, a man can dream.
>>81723129I use an ABC deck at my locals, 3x ABC pieces, 2 Union Drivers, 2 Gold Gadget and 1 Silver and next are my combo pieces:3 Lefty Driver and 1 Righty Driver3 Deskbot 003 and 2 Deskbot 0011 Mecha Phantom Beast ColtwingLefty/Righty leads to halqifibrax which summons 1 Deksbot 001, then you go into Auroradon and do synchro combosDeskbot 003 leads into 001 into Halqifibrax and now you can do an extended synchro combo since you have 2 001's in the GY.Can't wait till Cupid Pitch and Baroness De Fleur are released, it's gonna make my combos real cancerous
Who is the clown in this picture? Why do I want to lick this clown's legs?
I like the idea of Albion's dedicated support being scattered across multiple archetypes to showcase the journey, this probably means there's an Icejade that's really just Albion support in the structure deck because Albion has to fuse with something to make the cover card.
>>81723665Aluber aka Bastard's brother.
>>81723688Those are some feminine as fuck legs on homeboy's brother
>>81723688Wait, this dude is Fallen of Albaz‘s brother?
>>81723708>Stat lines>Fuses and becomes dragon>Both belong to the Branded archetype>Albaz's bastard has Branded in White while Aluber has Branded in RedYep, all signs point to them being family.
>>81723725They don‘t appear to like each other, real shame.
>>81723725Hell the thing behind the bastardxIcejade fusion in >>81723678 is probably Aluber after fusing with Long Yuan
>>81723737dragonic brothers trying to kill each other isn't particularly new
>>81723630Thanks for the tips! I'm glad to see righty driver there, shes adorable but I rarely see her in deck lists. Although Cristron isnt the easiest to get.
>>81723725There is a notable difference between them. Aluber seems to have mastery over their transformations where as Albaz seems to not. Can't wait till Fleur hits Aluber with her lightning of plot convenience.
>>81723748I never understood what lore was behind Dracoslayer, True Draco (are there false ones too) and all that stuff, is there some lore or something?
>>81723940>is there some lore or something?Don't bother, it's some of the least organized lore settings. A lot of people can't make out when certain cards take place.
>>81723950Ok, thanks. Can‘t be more interesting than Marron anyway.
>>81723965Speaking of Marron, why the random Support card?
>>81723725Wait a minute I thought Aluber was just Albaz corrupted by Despia? Is there any proof they're not the same person?
>>81724020Have you not been paying any attention? They're both in the same place, looking at each other, fighting.
>>81724027Shit, I missed this card completely.
>>81724069He's also raping Albaz in bottom right of >>81721606
https://ygorganization.com/bach-remaining-cards-plus-the-1-card/They reprinted Dragon Master Knight lmao
>>81721299don't forget her
>>81724069It was shown in the Icejade BACH wave where the lore showed that Long Yuan accepted Ad Lib's offer and got a Despia power boost. He then proceeded to attack Icejades, ended up fighting both the Swordsoul Gran Duke and the Ice jades while Albion and Ecclesia intercepted Aluber and the structure deck will probably show the fight's aftermath. Iris, Adin and Theo oddly enough are in this ritual spell's art which isn't exactly clear on when it takes place. This could be after the structure deck's fight or before it but Iris, Theo and Adin are already in their Swordsoul getup and seem to be getting ambushed by Maximus/Dramaturge in Dogmatika Nation. Maybe they went to scout the situation? The last time these three appeared chronologically was in Golgonda in Springans Interluder.
>>81721299Dunames Dark Witch looked great, but was so rare that nobody had her and we only knew her from Worldwide Edition for GBA.
Vampire concept art.
Any speculation as to what those blue things that are falling from the sky in the background are? They seem like crystals.
>>81724319Who is she? The Link 3? Looking good, but I would never betray my wife Vampire Vamp who I love very much.
>>81724344Yep, the Link-3
I think my best line of play for going second on live twins against a stacked board is making a 4 material Zeus and wiping the board.
>>81724344The concept art looks far more upbeat than the real thing
from where can I get ocg product? The new dogmatika and tri brigade sleeves look good but I have no idea where to order from
>>81725190Same, but I want the Meteonis Drytron ones once they get released.
>>81721481So heres how that would resolve, chain link 1 zeus attemps to send chain link 2 ip effect to link. Ip resolves and you then immediately summon your monster then zeus sends said monster to the grave along eith your trap card and you are unable to activate it.
>>81721845If your opponent has a quick effect to respond to the summon they get to activate it first as the turn player but even if they do because regression is an if effect as long as your summon was not negated you can activate it.
>>81721663I:P's quick effect would be 2nd in the chain and chains resolved backwards, so unless the card you summon with Masq is immune to card effect destruction, its gone.
Dudes, going to a cyber strike event. What cards should I get rid of while making the deck from the structure deck? Never played cydra before.
>>81722433Yes, hitting link devotee with an inperm or veiler is a terrible play but called by stops the important effect
So do you guys eat your booster packs with or without the wrapper?
>>81726531remove all non-cyber cards
>>81722597Excellent recommendation. I'd say the deck becomes much better if you have access to Prosperity but even without it the deck is so effective against the current meta.
>>81723214The last non-locals I went to was a tin case tournament. I was playing VW and scrubbed out at 3-3. I lost the diceroll for five rounds and drew unplayable constantly. The hardest game was round 6 where I was playing against Drytron. Game 1 I blew him out. Slowed his plays down to just summoning Verte and Dragoon then OTKed with Sigma/Beyond. Game 2 he hard drew Red-Eyes Fusion, I Ashed, he Crossed it out, and then ripped my hand with TTT. So that was fun. Game 3 I went first and built a Zombie World/Beatrice/Crystal Wing/Chuche board with a few hand traps and I think a set imperm. He had four names in hand and TTT and pecked through my negates, looked at the clock, TTTed to steal my Crystal Wing, then punched over my Beatrice which should have been in defense.
>>81724119Tribe DriveNormal Trap CardYou can only activate 1 card with this card’s name per turn.(1) If there are 3 or more different Types among monsters you control: Choose 3 monsters from your Deck with different Types from each other that share a Type with a monster you control, have your opponent pick 1 of them at random, and you either add that card to your hand or Special Summon it. Place the other monsters on the bottom of the Deck in any order. This seems kind of good for type soup decks.
>>81720910Not gonna lie, I think the card looks cool and takes skill to play.
>>81728135What I mean is, I don't think your average 12 year old that likes the card because of the art is playing it In a deck.
>>81722225fake and gay
Pulled a BLS from OTS, what do I do with it?
>>81723980Marron is a Good Boy

>>81726531Cyber dragon support cards are stronger than cyberdarks. Keep the impermanences.
I'm a boomer and i hate extra deck cards, so far i've build phantasm spiral. Is there any other decks which needs ZERO extra decks cards? Thanks bros
>>81730175Yeah, Monarchs uses no extra deck and can even floodgate the opponent out of their extra deck too.
>>/vg/355689416 /dng/ got derailed. my new archetype:Endless summer: a WATER pyro (going to sea + hot summer) group of human kids (stylized in ed edd and eddy artstlyle, or any wackier artstlye, but not necessirily chibi), adorned with Kids next door technology relating to summer holidays. They gotten patronage from endless summer guardian, boss monster. Now gameplay:Endless summer nights, the kids all share the following:All are HOPTYou can special summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 pyro monster from your hand, field or gy. This is an inherent summon, you can still summon them by other ways.If your endless summer synchro monster leaves the field, you can special summon this monster from your GY. You cannot special summon for the rest of the turnProblem with "creative" archetypes is that you still need to play through the interruption, and have grind game. I decided to give all of my monster shitty extending and conditional recovery so i can give my monsters wacky effects. (althpugh i may have stolen the last effect from aluber)Now for individual nights:Endless summer night birthday boy- Level 1 tuner 0/0When summoned, you can return 1 your banished pyro monster to your GY.Basically snotty boy from back at the barnyard, with an ugly hawaiian shirt. 9 year oldEndless summer night nautical savior- level 2 non tuner 0/2000gains 500 atk for each your banished or in your gy pyro. opponent's monsters must attack this card if they cana kid wearing snorkle mask and fake shark fins, armed with water guns, standing on ledge over the sea, heroically like e hero captain gold, ready to jump. >>81731916oh shit i cropped out the life points but they were at 7600. I couldn't figure out how to get that much damage in a single turn.
>>81731997if you can get trouble sunny out alongside maindeck 4400 evil twins, you attack with evil twins, sunny (3300) then use trouble sunny's quick effect to pop itself, SS another twin and attack for game
>>81731997>>81732081also, doesnt the standard combo involve summoning the link 2 lil-la that pops an opponent's card when summoned? that should've helped clear whatever else was in the way before you make sunny and attack
>>81732121>>81732081I don't think I can get Sunny and the 4.4k out at the same time.Okay I think this is how to do it.1. Summon Evil Twins Kissikil-Lila from hand, reduce their board to two.2. Summon Live twin Kisikil (normal summon)3. Activate Live Twin Sunny's snitch to search for Lila Treat (extender)4. Link summon Evil Twin Kisikil5. Use Evil Twin Kisikil to pull Evil Twin Lila out of the graveyard (I don't think this works because the 4.4k is a kisakil and a lila monster so the Evil twin's revival effect conditions aren't met, you must not already have the other named twin on the board)6. Link summon Sunny using the two link Evil twins.
>>81732233ah you're right, they can't rez if big twins are on the field. in that case i'dve summoned link lila first cause it can pop and then use cynet mining and another extender before going into sunny
>>81732233>>81732274sunny just requires an evil twin monster in its materials, so even if you just have a link 2 and 2 main deck monsters out you can make itoh hey big twins' special summon can be from the GY and isn't a hard once per turn, is it? just the make-em-pick effect? that's handy
>>81732274I'm not sure if that works either. WithBig twins and Blue Twin on field the best I can cynet for is a backup secretary but Sunny is link 4 and Blue is only link 2. I could go into gryphon and spin out something and that will get me to 6.6k damage.
>>81732341how many copies of the main deck monsters are you running? and whats in your extra deck?sunny can summon up to 2 monsters not including big twins with it's pop effect, and big twins can SS from graveyard with any two link monsters and that's not a hard once per turn. the trouble is getting sunny on the field at the same time as big twins so you can swing for 7700 and use sunny's pop for anything left over
>>81732410I only have 1 of the main deck monsterExtra deck is justKnightmare unicornknightmare gryphonfirewall dragonunchained abom2 sunny trouble left1 Evil Lila left2 Evil Kis leftlink disciplelink devoteei:p
Why don't we have a group discord btw
>>81732582We have enough pointless petty squabbles over anonymous users as is. Let's not go there.
>>81732582Because Discords never fail to turn into shitshows at breakneck speed. If it wasn’t because of that fact, the remote duel tournament would look like an incredible proposition.>>81730175If you want to be that guy so badly, why not play 3 Banquet Of Millions?
>>81732465honestly i assume youve ended the duel by now but i kinda want to see if i can squeeze more damage from somewhere and make it an otk.you can use sunny's snitch to search out whatever maindeck low lvl twins you have left, and cynet mining can get backup secretary at the cost of dark hole. that combined with kiskil gets you big twins, kiskil, and backup secretary on the field.i think i got it>pop backrow>ss big twins, forcing them down to 2 cards>activate sunny snitch, searching out Lila Treat>cynet mining, dropping dark hole to search out backup secretary>summon kiskil, secretary>use kiskil and big twins to summon link 2 kiskil>evil kiskil summons evil lila, pop one of the remaining cards> lila treat comes out. shes having fun>the link 2 evil twins get put into Trouble Sunny.>link together lila treat and secretary into evil Lila, who special summons evil kiskil from GY>use big twins gy summon effect and tribute the link 2 twins to get big twins back>battle phase, big twins attacks, sunny attacks, sunny pops self and summons the 2 link 2 twins who also both attacki think that works, but it could use double checking. it relies on the big twins' SS effect not being once per turn
>>81732726I think that works! Thanks, going to try to remember this. That picture was from last night actually. I'm constantly testing against the dogmatika ai on edo, other than twins, that's the only deck that I have any idea what the cards do. I don't consistently beat it unless I use my dogmatika version of the deck.
>>81732811idk why but that was really satisfying to figure out, thanks anon!also since big twins only need link monsters and not necessarily twins link monsters, you can use your link devotee and link disciple to summon them- which pops disciple's summon token effect so you can put those into i:p masquareena during main phase 2. you can use masquareena to link together big twins into either of the link 2 twins to disrupt your opponent's plays during their main phase if you need to, or go into knightmares or something.
>>81732909sorry, its devotee that has the tokens effect my bad
>>81732811it feels like most of your combo lines are going to focus on having just one of the twins on the field so you can SS the other one, so dont be afraid to use big twins as material for smaller twins if that lets you use your recursion effects so it doesnt get in your own way
>>81719472Wtf I love Yu-Gi-Oh now? Also is there like boomer format it something I can get into? Never played Yu-Gi-Oh.
>>81733326It is not hard learning all the summoning mechanics. Unless you really hate the modern game for whatever reason you should still give it a shot.
>>81733326yeah it's called GOAT format
>>81733326the easiest entry points are the games imo if you want to get a nice refresher before playing irl. link evolution is pretty good
Besides the imperms, are there any other cards in the new structure deck that are useful to other deck archetypes?
>>81732638Outside of discussion for the actual tournament the remote duel server is dead. Absolutely zero discussion. You can always leave when the tournament is done too.
>>81731560>floowandereezeHoly mother of soul, i'll build those birds, thanks anon>>81730237monarchs are nice, but a little bit too common for my taste>>81730239isn't this the archetype that people use with aleister? idk bro, seems fishy
What do you guys think of Guardian Chimera?>3 monsters with different namesMust first be Fusion Summoned using only monsters in your hand and field as material (min. 1 from each). If this card is Fusion Summoned by a Spell effect: You can draw cards equal to the number of monsters used as material from the hand, and if you do, destroy cards your opponent controls equal to the number of monsters used as material from the field. You can only use this effect of "Guardian Chimera" once per turn. Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects while you have "Polymerization" in your GY.
>>81733795would work as an extra boss for a fusion focused deck but im not about to build something around it. idk if I'd run vanilla polymerization with this, it seems not worth it unless you're using verte to dump poly, and there's way better verte targets if so
>>81733673Fusion deployment is sauce for almost every fusion deck
>>81732603>>81732638But we're like what, 10 15 regular anons who post here?We could host mini tournys against each other and have proper discussions and post lewd shit, literally anything.all the other ygo discords are reddit and filled with sjw trannys
>>81733887you act as this would be the only yugioh discord in my discord list anon. it'd just be a bunch of people who join in to start and then promptly dont talk ever again
>>81733908I mean, what's a good ygo discord to join then? And yeah it would be a little slow at first but then it'll pick up some pace when other users see that some users are more serious about it.
>>81733764Dogmatika is built entirely around fucking around with extra deck, sometimes to the detriment of your own. Not that it matters since you wont summon anything from there. One of the boss monsters is a ritual after all, and the other is a main deck beatstick with a negate.Punishment sends one from your extra to pop a monster on the field, maximus makes both players discard to the grave etc.Perfect archetype for someone who wants to drain all the fun from the game like you. Not that it's bad, but the fact that it's used with Invoked Shaddoll says enough.
>>81733887Or we could just have all of that in this general. Well, except the lewd stuff.
>>81733963im gay so the no lewd stuff isnt that much of a loss anyway
>>81733974Damn that sucks. I hope you get well soon.
>>81733963>i want to keep typing the captcha and seeing ads and giving money to chinkmoot everyday>>81733974gross
>>81734027its going pretty good, no worries.
>>81733795If it were banish instead of destroy I would consider it
So goat format is a thing. But is there a format for like....qilis/burning abyss/shadolls/insertothernoteabledeck or around that time? I had a fuckload of fun playing back then. I mean the top decks still beat everything, but it seemed like literally anything else could be teir two and do alright.I started in dragon rulers/spell books and and slowed WAY down when performapals/dracopals started dominating, then just noped the fuck on out when links came out. Tired getting back into it a few months ago and its a completely fucking different game now. Like eveything combos with links fast as fuck that hand traps are the go to now. But ya, are there other time frame specific formats that arnt goat?
Oh look, new Sky Striker card.>Sky Mecha Armament - H.A.M.PDARK / Level 8 / Machine / EffectATK 2500 / DEF 2500(This card is always treated as a "Sky Striker" card.)(1) If you control a "Sky Striker Ace" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to either field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster on that controller's field. You can only Special Summon "Sky Mecha Armament - H.A.M.P" once per turn this way.(2) When this card is destroyed by battle: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it.
>>81734526So I'm supposed to triute their monster then pull it back to my side?
>>81733326There is, its called GOAT it gets old really fast and you should download some of the emulators on the OP and try stuff from there. But before you do that.I will assume that you have basic notions about card games, then watch this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1QsMX9MwHAand thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkvMk-sLzcoThen try some stuff online, in case you have any doubts about anything don’t be shy and ask here. You should be ready to go when the Dinoruffia cards (the deck of the chick whose that ass belongs to) hit this place.>>81733887Yeah, no. that road always leads to hell and its always paved with good intentions. >>81734104That’s leagues better than what Discord does! They do in public what Youtube and Facebook do behind doors and boast about it for fucks sakes.
Would you guys say more people main Nibiru or Droplet? I'm torn between setting my Designators or keeping them through the course of my end phase. Would you guys say there's any value in adding Lambda to the extra deck? The only thing that sucks is to bring it out for me is that I either need to extend a bit too wastefully in situations where it's even possible or end on Lambda in place of I:P which I usually use to bring out an Apollousa with four negates on my opponent's turn.
>>81734754I think a lot less people will be running nib once brave token is out.
>>81734692it's an in-archetype way to out dragoon that we can find off most of our cards. works for other pesky boss monsters like BLS link that striker struggles with. also lets striker clear a kaiju they put on our field on the next turn. we can also push for game with this guy sometimes, either summon it to our field then widow anchor it back or tribute roze to get bigger guy or something, its versatile, but the summoning condition is a little bit annoying.
>>81734465Edison format has been getting more popular over the past year or so. They have a website, discord, and they host tournaments from time to time. That's like 2 steps before shaddoll/Burning Abyss and Synchros only and tons of variety.
>>81734886Do you have a link to the cards that are allowed in the format?
>>81734908https://www.edisonformatdotcomThey have sections for those kind of questions.
>>81734955Anon, did you try looking at it closely?
>>81734970I feel silly now
The print and ink quality on the new structure deck cards is dogshit. They're all super faded with edge shimmering on the foils.
>>81734465I want to play HAT format but no one is interested. You might be able to rope some people into playing Duelist Alliance format but it's like five formats down the list for most people. Modern > GOAT > Edison > Plant > HAT is the pecking order for old formats right now.
Do you guys think a machine deck would be too crippled by the lack of these cards? They're out of stock everywhere around here, that or they're going for 10+ dollars.
>>81735359If you're going for Earth Machines the first two are pretty big, the last one isn't entirely 100% necessary.
Is there a check list of things you go over before calling your deck done?
Got 3 copies of the cyber dark structure mainly just to get the impermanence. How playable is the deck as is? Do I need to get the extra deck cyber dragons?
>>81735859Mostly just the Chimeratech stuff, Nova, Infinity, and maybe Sieger.
>>81735859It's alright. You hard lose to Droll though and Verte is one of the best playmakers in the deck and is prohibitively expensive. You basically want the Chimeratechs for contact fusion, Nova/Infinite for going first, Sieger for OTKs with Rampage Dragon, and Almiraj as a way to get things in the GY. Some decks have a hard time dealing with Cyberdark End Dragon and Cyberdarkness Dragon is actually pretty good. Overdragon isn't bad either for OTKs since Power Bond makes it actually a threat.
>>81735859After experimenting a bit I decided to create this abomination: cyberdorkmatika. You can do regular cyberdark stuff to get 5 cyberdarks in the GY and use Cybernetic Horizon to send Cyber End Dragon to the GY and use Cyberdark Chimeras effect to search a powerbond with the added bonus of getting to banish materials from the GY.Or you go the Dogmatika Maximus/Necro Fusion route, send Cyberdark Dragon and Cyber End Dragon to GY, use Necro Fusion in your opponents Standby Phase.I kinda wanted to use 3 preparation of rites, 3 Illusion of Chaos and 3 Magicians' Soul, Soul can pop the equiped cards on the old Cyberdarks which leads to extra draws, but it's not worth the pricetag on Magicians' Souls
>>81736247Oh whoops thats an old screenshot, I ended up removing Dog Fleurdelis and Foolish Burial for 2 Cyber Emergency
I'm getting back into the game because Tour Guide has reawakened something in me. What decks best utilize her well in this meta. Bonus points if Halloween themed>>81720126I want a Halloween themed fiend deck, which shouldn't be hard, but all the fiends are so generic demons. I would love if there was one that was inspired by horror movies tropes or monsters.
>>81736247Try replacing one elder for one titaniclad, it will let you special summon a dogma at the end of your turn from deck. Fleur is pretty good to have one of to search for it you already have the other stuff you need. Careful with dogma punishment, it will lock you out of your extra deck for a long time. You can try using nadir to get the pitch to gy and search for ecclesia
>>81736329for decks that utilize her well in this meta the burning abyss + phantom knights deck is pretty good
>>81734526This looks really really cool. Great offensive tool for Sky Striker and it can be searched too or picked up with Area Zero. Also, the super shiney box looks fucking immaculate. I want one.
>>81736546That a really cool looking box, was the Mayakashi card announced as well?
>>81736561Nope. They still have the one striker card, and the four other ones to reveal.
>>81736660>four othersi thought there was only three archetypes each with two new cards or am i wrong?
>>81736927No, you're right. There's two more cards for Mayakashi and Witchcrafter a piece, so four total cards plus the next striker card
>>81736546Holy shit. I need the Witchcrafter version of this box.
>>81736370Thanks for the tips
What's the safest tier 1 deck to invest in for long term? I don't want the Jan list to kill the deck, speaking of which how hard do you guys think the Jan list will hit the meta decks?
I suck at this game. I can hardly remember combos half the time
>>81738139Just summon dragoon and protect it
>>81738139Just play control bro
>>81738139>pepe der froschDisgusting
>>81722597Just built this, has my Utopia Double I never thought I'd use.
Ties + Barrier Statutes still good or not worth the space?
YGOPro, DuelingBook or Dueling Nexusand:Will you quit it when Master Duel comes out, assuming it is not a paypig game.
>>81738818edopro, no and it will be.
>>81738818>assuming it is not a paypig game
>>81738905This right here
>>81736546>Witchcrafter front and center of the 3. Neat icons too. Konami should make 1 for every archetype the game has.
>>81738818Only if theres a way to add cards you own to the game and a good system to obtain singles. I dont want to open boosters only to get what I want
>buy copy of card A from pack X>buy copy of card A from pack Y>both cards look identical, except for the pack code bellow the artworkIs that how it is supposed to be? Did I buy a conterfeit card?
>>81736329What has she awakened?
>>81740389you know exactly what
When’s the new blue eyes support gonna hit america? I need those cards, Ultimate Fusion looks so busted
>>81740657>When’s the new blue eyes support gonna hit america?check the OP
>>81734886Ya thats not quite what im looking for but its cool that exists. Its neat to see more (insert time frame) formats popping up. Ygo has been a metric fuckton of compleatly diffrent games at this point. I think magic at least in terms of legacy is kind of like that now too. Maybe in a few years ill finally get mine. I mean i guess that theres nothing stopping me from finding a group of like minded people to play x way. But still. Holy fuck do i miss magical hats/histaric sign harpies. That shit was so fucking fun.
>>81740912>Holy fuck do i miss magical hats/histaric sign harpies. That shit was so fucking fun.You could make a format around them, pick ~500 cards that are legal in your format and post a pdf here and we could host a tournament.
>>81741032Around harpies? That sounds kind of boring. The fun thing about was how diffrent you played each match up. It was a great rank 4 tool box but each matchup centerd around a diffrent dude. And you even had a solid match up aginst qlis too so long as they didnt turn 1 towers. You just pitch queen for hunting ground, then dancer into summoner to pop scale and gg, you could set up for whatever. And if you were a cool guy (like me) you main decked a pet dragon for some cheeky rank 7s like draccoaak and big eye, evwn though they were a bit past theor prime at that point.
>>81740293Need a lil more deets than "I bought two cards", Konami does reprint cards and occasionally in the same rarity
>>81733795Into the Beast deck it goes.
Fuck you local shop for selling the Cyber structure deck at $15 already.
>>81733795I'm having fun playing this in Despia, their in archetype fusion spells only use the hand and field anyway, you get massive advantage from both Chimera and pretty much whatever monster you use as material, and it adds some spot removal, which the deck previously lacked.
>>81742118Support your local businesses they say. Fuck that, I'm going to Wal mart
>>81736329There's this I made in the last thread. It's semi-budget Phantom Knights which are peak Halloween.
>>81735130keep at it. Eventually players will get bored of what they're playing and migrate to HAT. I believe in you, anon.
>>81742118Bought three for a total of 21€, ecks dee. YGO would be so fucking expensive without cardmarket.
>>81739568I don't understand why they stopped. Almost every single Duel Terminal archetype has one. Also wish they'd attach names to more cards.
>>81737774Tribrigades are gonna get hit hard. Swordsouls come out in BODE and are gonna be high tier at least, judging from the ocg so if you're looking for a good deck to invest in, that's likely to stick around for a whileIf you're looking for something you can probably play at a local game store, the cyber dragon structure deck just came out today and it's solid if you get 3. It's got a staple handtrap in it too and it's worth buying multiples just for that
>>81743036What do you think about drytron, a safe deck to invest in?
>>81743060Absolutely not. Drytron is probably at the top of the murder list. It's the best "break my board" deck in the format and has been in the meta for around a year. People were already surprised it dodged the last list. In a January murder list it'll be the top hit to make way for the next combo deck. Considering Drytron is in this position and uses a lot of expensive cards for its engine and backup plan (Diviner, Verte+Dragoon), I'd say it's not worth the investment.
Got my three Imperms with my Structure Decks. What's the best way to build a deck with them?
>>81743310hmm okay I guess OCG trends wouldn't be safe to follow considering they haven't touched drytrons, but TCG does things so different
>>81743413OCG has Maxx "C". You can ignore most of the OCG trends.
Going out to target later in hopes of finding SOMETHING yugioh related (hopefully Cyber Strike). Wish me luck duelists.
>>81719487YGO is officially the least gay TCG with all the Loli waifu bait. Maybe that's why I stopped playing years ago
>>81737774Stay clear of Shaddoll, Winda likes to live dangerously
Anyone have any oldschool control decks that don't use Gravity Bind/Level Limit/Messenger?
>>81743413Is tcg still just a selling tool? I remeber thinking the ocg lists were way more fair back in the mid teens when i actually played. Bottomless at 2 would have really evened things out vs qlis (as would have the bitch cry babies main dwcking mst, but we wont talk about that.)
>>81743353Leave them in the structure decks and buy 3 galaxy soldier, 2 nova, 2 infinity and 2 rampage and call it a day
>>81743310Let's hope they hit PK then, drytron is definitely on the chopping block since they can't and won't abuse DPE or brave token
>>81743541Brave PK is just okay. As soon as Verte gets bopped the deck's viability drops back down to tier 2-ish. Without a backup boss monster like Dragoon or DPE the deck has to fall back on Dark Requiem which is pretty great but requires a long string of uninterrupted actions. Give it a few months and the OCG will release a new power creep set.
somebody explain to me, how attack / defense work with monster card levels. why are really old cards so weak? you have monsters with level 5 which have like 1300 attack. why has summoned skull the same attack as the dark magician, while one needs one tribute and the other needs two? why do we have monsters with 1900/1900 stats now, when gemini elf was ultra rare expensive with 1900/900 stats in the olden days? why do cards with high defense have a smaller penalty than cards with high attack? there is no formula. I tried to make one myself in a spreadsheet, but i see so many cards in the wild that break simple balance rules. just compare vorse raider with alien shocktrooper. vorse raider has the clear advantage, when you only look at the numbers. one of my ideas was, that some attributes or types have a different bonus. like dragons get more attack or earth monsters get more defense. that would make thing more coherent.
>>81743714Monster level means nothing when it comes to a monster's ATK/DEF values.
>>81743742but it should. you can blame the mangaka. celtic guardian was level 6 in the comics, once.
>>81743761>but it shouldNo, it shouldn't. Our game barely even remotely resembles the silly manga shit Takahashi was doing and that's great. The manga game is a mess.
>>81744069>our gamelol, "your" game is the powercrept mess, without any rules. you can shit out 5 monsters with effects and 3000 attack in one move. this is stupid as fuck. the manga atleast had the rule to only summon and attack with one monster. this is already more balanced than nu-gi-oh.
>>81719472>DinobuttAll I can hear now is Rattraps's voice mocking Dinobot.
>>81743714The thing you gotta keep in mind about the balance of Yugioh starting out is that the franchise wasn’t meant to be about a single card game but about a kid who uses dark magic to punish evildoers by playing various kinds of games. It’s just the one magic the gathering parody caught everyone’s attention and they pressured to artist to do an entire tournament arc about a game he just made up.So the balance is a bit whack in the earlier days because it was written before the actual rules of the real game were set in stone
>>81744109>you can shit out 5 monsters with effects and 3000 attack in one move.>this is stupid as fuckYou just argued yourself and don't even realize it, dipshit. I could take apart a board like that in my sleep. So, yeah. It would be stupid as fuck to build that board turn one.
Is Duel Devastator worth picking up if you're new to the game? I recognize some good cards like Ash, Effect Veiler, and a few others but not sure about the rest of the list>just buy singlesI like gambling a little bit with a case or three since I collect in addition to playing and like fresh ass cards.
How viable is just using full cyberdark compared to getting the rest of the cyber dragon cards for the structure?
>>81743714try not to think too hard about the original aspects of the game. A monster's level in the manga and early anime was an indicator of its rarity, with an 8-star like BEWD being only 4-of-a-kind and things like Tri-Horned or Cosmo Queen rarely if ever appearing in any deck, while two-tribute monsters like Dark Magician and Red-Eyes were treated like these all-powerful threats despite being objectively worse than Summoned Skull, because tribute summoning wasn't a thing at the time. A lot of effects were hidden until a character publicly declared it, like machines being immune to spell cards or types having inherent weakneses and resistances like pokémon do, etc. You'll see a diminishing trickle of old manga-artwork normal monsters in the TCG as pack filler from Legend of Blue-Eyes all the way to about Pharaoh's Servant before the developers were able to fill each set with cards that were actually designed for real games. As for why newer monsters tend to have better stats than older monsters, it's pretty much just up to the times and power creep.
>>81741711Two Dingirsus, one from DUOV and other from DANE.
>>81744147i know. the good thing about the manga creator is, that he put alot of love and care into the games. rules were put into info boxes. boards from overhead. rarity and stats on screen. perfect.
https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/products/sd-sdaz.htmlAlbaz Strike confirmed for TCG.
>>81744193those two sets had dingirsu in the same rarity, ultra. so yeah, apart from the code they are supposed to look exactly the same. cards only look different when printed in different rarities
>>81744154the safest gambles are typically the reprint sets. tins or the gold series usually have the cores for the latest good decks
Ouch this really hurts, cannot say I was surprised at all but Agents was the first structure deck I had ever bought but this absolutely confirms that we will see them chopped into pieces to slot into multiple sets that will most likely be half garbage
>>81744160cyberdark sucks cause horn edge and keel only activate their equip a card effect when normal summoned. the fact that they can actually go into the rest of the cyber dragon deck is what makes them adjacent to playable
>>81744151i don't care if you, a internet tough guy, can take apart a enemy board. the sole idea that you can fill the board with raid bosses is retarded and unbalanced as sin. why have a tribute system ,if you can ignore it 99% of the time? total powercreep garbage.
>>81744218rip to the utopia deck and agent decks, now we gotta have em chopped up into boosters. ughhope the albaz deck reprints nadir servant
>>81744218Holy shit based alert. inb4 we don't get something stupid like a Dragoon reprint●Structure Deck: Albaz Strike (Mar 11)
>>81744228I meant to add this will also apply to the Utopia deck; Konami thinks you are not worthy of good products because you are not willing to pay enough money
>>81744168thank you. after all those years i still think, that those trast filler monsters need more love.
>>81744240>board with raid bossesYou have no idea what you're talking about and it shows. Please, fill me in on this Generaider combo line. Do it.
>>81744147Hell, the rules were only set in stone in the first place because of the CCG (the Konami card game/anime launched around the point the Duelist Kingdom finals were getting underway in the manga). Without that, DK would've just been a weird oddity and he'd have gone on to other freaky games
>>81744228Agents could be stuck into the old Spring SDR release window since we don't have another SDR announced in the OCG. Keep in mind this is due to the OCG skipping a structure deck window forcing the TCG top shit out the Egyptian God garbage later than usual. Utopia is absolutely going to get chopped into our next Summer side set.
>>81744269later it feels like they started establishing ceilings for atk based on level likea lvl 4 normal monster with no effect (typically a detriment to most decks) can have up to 2k attack.a lvl 8 monster can have up to 3000 atk, but if it has more it usually needs some kind of drawback or restriction to itand most of these rules are mushy because if a card has a drawback it can have bigger stats, and sometimes a card has a high level but low stats because of their effect. given that lvl 4 is the "can be normal summoned without issue" threshold, more attention gets paid to those kinds of monsters.
>>81744296i think he did, iirc they had people writing in wanting to play the game and shonen jump was like "bruh we need to get in on this"
>>81744220I see, but the selling sites display pics of them with different foils and they have different prices. Is that because Dingirsu was also printed in a different rarity in one of those sets?
What is an archetype that is aesthetically similar to dogmatika?
>>81744292you can shove your handtraps, kaijus and combo cards up your ass, friend. GOAT format is the last good thing.
>>81744355yes. one of the prints was at a different rarity and thus more or less copies of the card was printed. theyre identical in gameplay terms, its just one is shinier maybe
>>81744365as in sinister church? you're probably best off looking at Agents.
Hope one of the new Witchcrafter cards is a new boss monster for them. Worst case scenario would be a link-1 since that would be the laziest thing to give them.
>>81744355the only other rarity dingirsu was printed is in ultimate in the ots packs. ultimate cards are quite expensive so there is a big difference in price between the ultra dingirsus and the ultimates
>>81744391make verre irrelevant plz konami
>>81744367>more uninformed takes>no argumentAt least you're consistent. I'll give you that.
>>81744346funny, how the giant soldier of stone, with level 3 has better stats, than mystical elf, which was super rare. i guess alot of the rare cards where fan- favorites.
>>81744415oh yeah def values are pretty much anything goes cause you can't play things in face up defense position irl so its much less likely for players to actually use defence position.also i think people made mystical elf their waifu
>>81744399But I'm pretty sure copies from DUOV and DANE are sold for different prices around here. And one of them is more shiny in the website pics.
>>81743489in goat you can use Anti-Spell Fragrance to keep your opponent's spell cards set to slow them down, then use Xing Zhen Hu to keep them there. Then just use flip monster rotating cards to factor out your opponent's monsters and have this bitch burn your opponent from all of their set spell/traps. If you play in reaper format instead of goat, you have access to Malfunction, a terrible card that is nonetheless hilarious to use to keep your opponent's trap cards set for more burning.
>>81744414and after like 5 replies you still don't argued on how nu-gi-oh is good, and not just powercreep incarnate. you call me uninformed, while i played the game since 2002.
>>81744437control players make me sick
>>81744415Well remember, Mystical Elf is a duelist kingdom card so it being rarer means it was capable of doing more things.
>>81744415you can sort of kind of almost make a case that Mystical Elf and Aqua Madoor got the better deal for the first few years of the game as Spellcasters got a lot of support in early sets while Rock barely got anything until 2005. Giant Soldier's only real edge was being able to attack through Gravity Bind.
>>81744496they recently made "Mystical Elf - Mystical Burst Stream" effect: When a monster your opponent controls activates its effect and you control a Level 5 or higher Normal Monster (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, negate that effect. During your opponent's Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Normal Monster in either GY; Special Summon it, and if you do, while you control it, monsters your opponent controls must attack it, if able. You can only use each effect of "Mystical Elf - Mystical Burst Stream" once per turn.
>>81744436I don't know about your area but the prices are almost the same for both sets. I have also one dingirsu from DUOV and one from DANE so I can assure you they look the same.sometimes foils or colors come out looking slightly different, or maybe the photos were taken with different lighting
>>81744496you could balance the stats around effects. like monsters turn in their stats for effects. mystical elf looses like 1000 atk for a aura effect. sometimes konami does this, but most often than not, effect monsters have just as high stats as vanillas, which is stupid and unbalanced.
>>81744479Ah, here's the secret. I legit don't care what you think. I think it is absolutely hilarious you don't even know enough about the cards to know when you're name checking archetypes. Go, ahead. Shit yourself with contempt for the modern card game. Everyone is just going to assume you're trolling. It doesn't even matter what I post at this point. I can't paint a less generous picture of yourself than you already have.
>>81744651you mad? still waiting for your nu-gi-oh defense. go paypiggy. buy more tins. give konami more money. maybe you get a ghost rare next time.
>use big narrow font in the effect box for ROTD print>switch to wide small font for OTS reprint>switch back to big narrow font for MP21 reprintWhy are they so inconsistent?
>>81744408Granted! The new and perfect version of Madame Verre can be link summoned by sending 5 banished cards back to the deck, 5000 atk. Just from this effect you know she will be the new Accesscode Talker. The new effect banishes the entire opponents monster row by discarding one spell and while she is face up on the field the Witchcrafters costs can be paid by sending spell cards from the deck instead of from the hand and total protection to effects. We also made the new Verre smugger and younger to symbolize her newfound mastery over her powers and wearing something so outrageous even a Harpie Lady would get cold by looking at her. A total powercreep over her original form you will never have to worry about seeing ever again. I am Calypso and thank you for playing twisted metal
>>81743456Target is a bust. It's only magic here. Time to check Walmart.
>>81744682>buy more tinsAs you command
>>81745032god bless monkey's paws
>>81745161Same for Walmart. No pretty cardboard for me today I guess.
hey I'm a returning player and I am having a really tough time finding the answer to this:What are the prices of strcture decks at MSRP? What are the prices of booster boxes at MSRP?For the former, I am guessing $15? I never see them in person so I can't gauge how bad I'm getting jew'd. THe latter, I only see them going for $75? Is that MSRP?
>>81745466actually I lied, I found the structure decks MSRP for $10 so i am overpaying like a motherfuckerhaven't found MSRP for a box, only individual packs X 24, which is $95
>>81745466you can check yugioh-card.com for the MSRPsas for the SDs it depends which one and what year it came out, but all the MSRPs are 10, but shit like Zombie Horde is nearly 100
>>81745466>>81745491Structure Decks should be about $11-$12 if you live in the states
>>81745576I do thank you for confirming
>>81744538I see, so my cards should be alright. I guess the sellers around here are faggots who overprice their cards. Good thing the dude who sold me both copies offered a good price.
What the hell is going on with threads these days
