If they actually did do an AoS version of Chaos Dwarfs, what would they call them?Legion of Azhgor was meant to represent one very specific group of Chaos Dwarfs and would likely not carry over to a new plastic line.
>>78559244ossiarch are probably the most overall well rounded army to collect right now, they are also in a great spot with rules. the army is both strong and flexible. they can play a slow marching heavy tanking phalanx supported by artillery, a grindy attrition machine with troops that explode when they die and stand right back up, an ultra fast charging all cavalry and flying monster army where the whole army runs and charges, and they've got some solid heroes.i would say their only downsides are because of their eliteness it's hard to always fit everything you want in a list, and they are pretty reliant on their 3 named characters (arkhan, katakross, and nagash) to really shine. nurgle is looking better with the updates but still a slog to play. slow without a bell, but can reach decent speeds with the right build, everything is tough and expensive, they lack ranged options entirely and their casting is garbage, their hitting power is also on the weak side, so they will pretty much just sit on objectives tanking all game.idoneth deepkin are a blast to play, fast, hard hitting, good melee and decent ranged on the sharks and turtles, good options and everything is now usable except the reavers who still kind of suck. but if the fish aesthetic is not for you, skip em. if you like fish, go for it, rewarding army to play and fairly meta proof. sylvaneth are in a REALLY bad spot. avoid except as an absolute labor of love for the models. tree dependency makes them expensive to collect too, half the cost of the army will be terrain.KO are fast, redeploying, shooty skirmish alpha army that wants to skirt the fight and cripple the enemy early before they can hit back. lots of tricks and traps, like a mix of 40k's dark eldar/edlar, GSC, and tau, a wholly unique experience in AOS, they play like no other army. probably one of the more difficult armies to play well though. high skill ceiling

If the objective is making the combat sequence as streamlined and as quick as possible, then fixed rolls aren't the solution. Warcry's version of S/T works much better, because there's only one roll to attack and no save roll. Instead, what were saves (mainly armours and shields and stuff) instead increase Toughness, while what was rend now increases Strength. That way you have a simpler system with more granularity, that isn't locked to just 6 fixed values and that has less rolls that don't need to switch between players and the same amount of looking at the opponent's stats as current AoS.
