For all the chucklefucks in the last thread who thought you could deply camo'd mines prone in N3 - no, you couldn't. And to the dude who didn't understand what Decoy is, yes, Decoys can deploy prone if the guy with the Decoy deploys prone.
>>77680785wait, do you need bolt cutters just to assemble the figs?
>>77680785It isn't an Infinity miniature if you can't beat someone to death with it.
>>77681278You want snips, files, and probably a hobby knife. Bolt cutters are... larger scale.
>>77681278lol no pewter is soft, regular dikes will work just fine.
>>77681431the snippers i use for warhammer would work?
>>77681336If you put the maggy in a sock you legit have a deadly weapon.
>>77681484Check if they're plastic snips or metal snips.
>>77681515Has someone ever weighted it?
>>7768148499percent chance yes. I cannot think of a pair of snippers that could not cut pewter. Most dikes are rated for cutting copper wire, and pewter is softer than copper. Staples on the other hand, are steel, son don't cut those with your cutters, just bend them with pliers until they break. Staples make great pins for tough-to-glue joints.
>>77681484>>77681871I use lindstrom 8140 dikes. Total overkill but I also use them for my electronics work, and I will never buy another brand.
>>77681618No but I own one and people underestimate the weight when they try to pick it up.
>>77681278At a minimum. Really you want some hi-powered industrial saws.
>>77681484Does Warhammer really not have metal models anymore? That's so crazy. Anyway yeah they will work but you might want to get a separate pair because you will eventually blunt clippers using them on metal.
>>77683581They have a few. Like one of the ork warboss minis is still metal.
>>77683454>not one of these bad boys
>>77683615Real talk I was fine with clippers until I had to clip out Ragik backpacks which are so tiny and thin they are inevitably twisted by clipping. You at least want a little saw too.
>>77681484I use a pair of old metal wire snips, small metal file, Xacto blade with couple different blades depending on the moooooooooold lines.....
>>77683667I haven't found a knife much use for Infinity models at all. Maybe the one I'm using is just too weak/not sharp enough.
>>77683704I use a pocketknife to trim and cut slits in bases, and an army painter hobby knife to trim bits of flash off of miniatures.
>>77683704A hobby knife should do the trick, but it's probably unnecessary. Useful for scoring contact points, I guess.
>>77685268>>77683704For me, the hobby knife is one of the most valuable tools I have in my toolbox when I assemble miniatures and it's the files that collect dust. I don't even own saw of right calibre. Each for their own, I guess. If you're new, you should try different things and look what works for you.
>>77681431Little too soft. Got a sniper with a flaccid barrel.
>>77686549If it was bashed during shipping it's much better bent than broken; it's fairly easy to straighten, but it would be pretty much impossible to glue back together.
How does Imperial Service work in N4?
>>77680785Whoever makes the next thread, don't fuck up like I did and copy the Embed text.
>>77680811No one said you could deploy mines prone, what are you on about? The question was if ANY camo TROOPER could deploy prone. And the answer was yes they can as they are a trooper. A mine is marker, it cannot. It's S2 until discovered.
>>77688590Protip: you can turn off the auto-embedding in the options so you just have to copy-paste, and then turn it back on. Bit quicker.
>>77681278Its cleaner to use an electric handsaw
>>77688596I can't find the link, but someone in the last thread said that mines were troopers as long as they remained a marker, and that therefore they could be prone. Camo TAGs can't deploy prone, either, but that's a technicality...
>>77688653This was my response in the thread:>>77678686
>>77688701And you responded to someone talking about Decoys, which is a different thing and works differently.
>>77688735The dude was stating you could not deploy camo markers prone--and used decoys as an example of something you could deploy prone dude...It's ok to be wrong and misread stuff. No one cares. It's the internet.
>>77688842The guy he was responding to was asking if you can deploy a camo'd mine prone :-D
>>77688867Yes. Then the guy responded:"No. Decoys can be prone though since they copy states from their controller"So he was saying no to camo trooper prone. That's incorrect.
>>77689487Nope, the guy was asking about mines.
>>77689662lol, just go back and read the thread retard>Can you deploy a camo marker prone?>If it's a mine?>As I read it, only a trooper may be deployed >prone (even in a state like camo).>So, it appears to me that you can deploy a >camo marker prone, but since it can't possibly >be a mine at that point, the enemy will know >it's not a mine.>RIght?>No. Decoys can be prone though since they copy states from their controller.>That's wrong. Camo markers of troopers are >still troopers and troopers can deploy prone>Mines are markers, not troopers, therefore >can't deploy prone.>So yes, you could deploy a minelayer camo >marker prone while the mine would still be S2 >and it would give away the mine.
>>77690059>If it's a mine?Go back and read the thread, retard.
So this may be a dumb question but where do i go to read about the lore?I the website has all the faction but can't find the book that has the fluff
>>77690835For full and complete comprehension, you'll want the following:N1 or N2 Core, for the Exrah Concordat fluffHuman Sphere, for the Merovingia fluffHuman Sphere N3, for most of the other sectorials, as well as ALEPH and TohaaUprising, Third Offensive, and Daedalus' Fall for the rest of the sectorials and plot developments leading up to N4N4, for the latest couple of sectorials, O-12 vanilla, latest plot developments, and general fluff. The RPG and Aristeia provide setting information for the non-military/paramilitary aspects of the setting as well.>Are there scans of them?Only for Uprising, N1 Core, and Human Sphere. The RPG line is all available as digital copies, as well, which makes it your most accessible source on the factions, even though it won't tell you all about their armies. Aristeia's character fluff (which is about all that's unique to it) is on its website.
>>77691045thanks

New Szal Pilot when?
>>77694285We need a new Lizard first.
>>77694398New Lizard is 100% coming with the new C1 wave
>>77694520I wonder when they're going to get around to releasing pilots for the previous wave of C1 TAGs. The Scindron and Crabbot already exist, but the Zeta and Blue Wolf still need theirs.
>>77687723Not very well I would say.
Has CB hinted as to when the next C1 wave hits?I want my Nomads and Haqqs adapted.
>>77695465They said Operations were meant to be on a yearly rotation, which should mean April or so, but that's around the time of this MO rework so it might be GenCon-time instead. Whether Haqq get converted, or if it's just Nomads and Ariadna, remains to be seen. On the one hand, only adding the two for the next Operation lets them draw out the time until they run out of things to add to C1, on the other hand it also stunts the ability of people to play C1.
>>77695610I see. I hope they hurry up, I'm nursing an addiction to metal here.
Are you tempted to try to fix the setting with your tricked out Mary Sue character?
>>77694398>>77694520The Lizard is fine as it is, guarantee a new model will ruin it.
>>77696153Making it look like an actual member of the Reptile series like the Iguana and Szalamandra can only be an improvement.
>>77696170Both of those look generic as fuck, the Lizard does not need to follow suit.
>>77696192Considering how ugly it is, yes it does.
>>77696208>>77696208>Lizard>uglypost models, because that's an absolutely shit opinion. Lizard looks fine and lizard pilot looks finer
>>77696120No, but if I was given a chance to fix the setting by removing good half of character units, I'd have a go at it.
>>77696240>Lizard looks fineThis has never and will never be true. Even when it came out it was an ugly piece of shit.
>>77695610They could be also releasing in for Gencon, so later this year in the summer (August, I think?).
Any news on MO update?
>>77696240Lizard is cool. I prefer CB not touch it if they gonna destroy the concept, like they did with the Szalamadra
>>77696432I think we're not expecting anything until 8 March, CB are supposed to be doing a stream or something then.
>>77696516Szalamandra is gorgeous.
>>77696552i prefer the roundy, old one, with integrated weapons... The new one... fits more in Combined Army
>>77696432Special Infinity Week starting March 8th with a new Studio Update on March 12th (probably the Adepticon seminar if Adepticon was made...)
>>77696575>The new one... fits more in Combined ArmyIt's a fat Iguana, what's this CA nonsense?
>>77696432We are all waiting for the livestream
>>77696516I understand how you may love the old sculpt but the new one is objectively better.
>>77696732It's objectively better in quality, but objectively worse in aesthetic.
>>77696732 objectively better, yes. They improved desing and sculpt. But that thing IS NOT a Szalamandra
>>77696777>that thing IS NOT a SzalamandraThis is like trying to claim the new Securitate aren't Securitate because their uniforms don't look anything like the old ones.
>>77696814one thing is change wardrobe and other is completely change the concept of the troop.Nomad tags are stated to be outdated PanO tags and made with salvaged parts, but improved with the nomad engineers crazy ideas...Where in the new Szalamandra you sense that outdated and salvaged feel?
>>77696760No, it's subjectively worse in aesthetics.IMO it looks better.
>>77696906>Where in the new Szalamandra you sense that outdated and salvaged feel? The old Szalamandra doesn't have that feel either, the sleekness of its rounded body makes it look brand new.>made with salvaged parts"Military surplus" and "outdated" do not mean "made from salvaged parts". And even if they did, the Nomads disassemble and overhaul everything they can, so why would it look like a pile of salvage instead of something that just came out of the Praxis Restoration Labs?
>>77696956That just means you have shit taste.
>>77697094In your opinion. In my opinion you have shit taste. Also, you don't understand the difference between subjective and objective. So shit taste AND shit for brains.
>>77696261Hannibal is cool and so is Wildbill. Also Krit is a chool character, the Thai community loves him. It's not often your country gets represented in a table top. Also I think Nokris is a good character to have in the game. The rest I don't care much about.
>>77696732Someone needs to read the definition of objectively
>> Lizard=uglyF*** off, the Lizard is the ONLY TAG that has been ported 1:1 from Masamune Shirou's Artbooks (Intron Depot series, that is), being a hommage to Infinity's main inspiration. As long as Tachikoma/Uchikoma or Arm Suits are missing (well, Rudra is already a step towards it), the Lizard is iconic - any rebuild might f*** it up greatly.
>>77696639Retards see a red and black paint scheme and shit their diapers.
>>77698798Lizard looked wonderful when compared to the old nomad tags like the old szal >>77696732 , but with the redesigned szal, geckos, iguana.. the lizard looks out of place and doesn't share the same style as the other tags. Also wish the pose itself wasn't so static.
Someone explain the "Dire foes" content for me.
>>77696261Oktavia is actually story-important though.
>>77700481You get two character minis from two different factions and a character/civilian mini, which are meant to be played in a specific scenario/mission contained in the box (or downloadable from the website in some cases)
I need to finish this Jujak.
>>77699218I've found many of the older TAGs to hold up really well after a slight repose and a bit of work here and there. I particularly enjoyed building Scarface and the O-Yoroi as they can be easily modified.
>>776987981:1 copying is just as cringe as pop-culture "homage" sculpts.
>>77702273This. Having a character called Kusanagi is already cringe enough.
>>77681431>>77681871>>77681934>DikesYou keep using that word. I do think it means what you think it means but I cannot help but think you mean something else.>>77687723ISS need a TAG optimised for War Crimes.>>77695610'Rona and the knock-on from it may have forced them to swap the plans about a bit. Maybe MO and a Fireteams update was just a lot easier to push out than a C1 box with adapted rules for the two newcomers plus new models and terrain sets. I mean, to have C1 ready there's the in-box stuff plus a Dire Foes or Advanced Release box usually.>>77696208>>77696240>>77696296>>77696516The Lizard as it is, is an uggo. End of. But at the same time it needs to look like an older TAG upgraded to modern standards. The fluff doesn't actually say it was a Reptile as the basis, just obsolete tags taken to Bakunin to get pimped up.>>77698798Being a 1:1 copy is indeed cringe. >>77702273is right.
>>77702655>a Fireteams updateWhen was this announced?
>>77696732Bubble TAG is best TAG. Fight me.
I like cameo characters like Ryuken9, Bruant, Mirage-5 etc
Let's be honest here, a few of the pilots desperately need resculpts. Like I'm pretty down with the Lizard pilot, but holy shit can we please fix that face?
>>77704163Most of Infinity's faces are shit so even if they changed the sculpt it would be more of the same.
>>77704163I wonder how they'll fit the pilots, SKUs-wise. Would it be better to have a double blister like for the CA pack or to put them with their TAG in the first place?
>>77705725Optimally they would be with their respective TAGs (unless it's a (remote) pilot with multiple TAGs, I'm looking at you, Avatar).
>>77705725Honestly, I like them being sold separately. Like grab your tag, then pick whichever pinup girl you like best for your pilot.
if 60 bucks is your limit can you get into this game? What would you buy? Presuming you already know someone who has terrain and markers and stuff
>>77706069Does your opponent already have an army? If you only need a small starting army for yourself, then a starter pack would be around €40, and a more complete action pack at around €80. You could probably find better prices looking around a bit, I'm just looking at the official store since I don't know where you're located.https://store.corvusbelli.com/wargames/infinity/starters?filter.type=starterAlternatively you could share one of the "Operation" boxes with another person, as they cost a bit over €100 usually - they'd give you two small armies and a bit of terrain, markers and stuff.
>>77706069Did you pick a faction yet?
>>77706069If you're in the USA, then they have "operation" boxes, which are 2 player sets, with 7 units in each faction, for 14 models total. I picked up operation kaldstrom for like $130 on amazon. If you're just looking for an army for yourself, try and find some box sets. The points cap is 300, and theyve got a few sets out that are about 270-300 points for like 80-100 online. $60 will get you started, though, and may even be fine for games less than 300 points.
>>77703347Shit taste.
>>77702694It wasn't, it's speculation there might be one either with MO or very soon. >>77705725Either put them with the TAG or sell them as one SKU, possibly with something alongside. Like PanO does the Crabbot and Tech Bee just now. Trouble is of course if you want to update, say, the Maghriba Guard pilot, where's she go? What goes with her?
rescuing this general for aleph, nomads not welcome
>>77706385>hey I have 60 bucks limit>YEAH BRO GET THE 130 DOLLAR BOXESare you retarded
>>77710192Stop being poor.
>>77680785Literally how is it possible to price these three units like that? And how is it possible that people still shill Tarik to be some super good unit?
>>77706069Buy the starter of the faction you want to play.
>>77710192Dude it's a two player box. Get a friend to go Galveston, and its 65, which is within $5 of the given range.
>>77710646>Guy mentioned his friends has minis alreadyWhy is this thread full of useless "help"?
>>77710814Lots of know-it-alls.
>>77710814He didn't say his friend had minis already, just terrain and markers. >>77706069Yeah, $60 would get you a starter set to play 150-200 point games. Let us know what faction you want to play and we could point you in the right direction.
>>77702655>The fluff doesn't actually say it was a Reptile as the basis>like all the other Nomad TAGs, it has a reptilian name>it has a number of design similarities to the old Szalamandra (the dotted faceplate and the two-tone back sticks, most obviously), which is explicitly stated to be a Reptile-series.That's a whole lotta reaching going on.>>77705725Best would be putting them with their TAG to begin with, but Code 1 makes that an impossibility for the ones in its line.
>>77710229Stop being retarded.
>>77711111nice
>>77711111Sheeeeeit trips of luck and quints of power. That nigga is dead.
>>77710814>Has terrain and markers and stuffDidnt mention minis, so I thought I'd mention the 2 man box just in case. Please learn to read, anon.
>>77711667>Anyone is going to buy markets and terrain but no minisFucking stupid.
>>77711990You know other wargames exist, right anon? This may surprise you, but they also use terrain and possibly markers. Please think before posting.
>>77710349Frenzy discount is some sort of black magic.
>>77713263No, it's because Gutier is a Shiite.
>>77713263It's more than just the Frenzy discount.
>>77713323"Ali was the first imam" - Gutier
>>77713516This kills the Brigada.
>>77713516surely some people get autistic about those girls, right?
>>77715529Yeah, the designers. These profiles are very fanboyish.
>>77715569Ahem. Dashat. Proxies.
>>77710827>The community is autism crystallized to a degree that's rare outside mecha and naval games, tooWell?
>>77716182Anybody who describes themselves as part of The Community for anything is autism incarnate.
>>77716229The funny thing is I bet you think this but are unaware of how stupid you sound.
>>77716182>*looks at the official forums*I can see how he would get that impression.
>>77711990You can simply print the markers at home, and he could have terrain from other games

>>77716182>>77716345
>>77716365>>77716366I was thinking about the volkolak logo incident, and every "cultural appropriation" argument they've ever had.
>>77716366Only you have the power to stop this, CB.
>>77710349I don't see the problem. Are you mad Asawira are good now? Do you even have time to be mad as I run this Asawira pain train directly into your face?
>>77717137But Asawira was already good anon. I'd know I hd played HB for about year almot exclusively before N4 released. The question in the picture is how in the world Two very similar units cost the same, despite the fact that one has BS13, other BS15; Natural Born Warior vs. Protheion with MA4, and that's completely discounting the fact that TArik is few times larger than sheskin. Cause I really do nnot think immunity critical and nerfed remains of SJ are good enough to make up for that cost.
>>77716411Volkolak logo incident?
>>77717256A full week of a polished autist reeeeing at maximum volume about how CB are secret neonazis because the volkolak symbol looks like a swastika (allegedly).
>>77717210>Cause I really do nnot think immunity critical and nerfed remains of SJ are good enough to make up for that cost.Tarik's also got +2 ARM, +2 WIP, Stealth, CC Attack (Shock), and Religious Troop as well as +1 Order and +1 SWC on some profiles.Tarik shilling's probably mostly a leftover from when he had Fatality 2, though.
>>77717210>The question in the picture is how in the world Two very similar units cost the sameProfiles are not entirely comparable between factions because they take in account possible sinergies. Say smoke would be pretty cheap in Haqq and Nomads but more expensive in PanO
>>77717363It was especially funny and retarded because the guy itself had two bolts of lightning as part of its profile picture (similarly to the SS logo). This is the logo of the unit in question, it's more Slavic/Celtic than nazi really.
>>77717363He escaped questions about Poland behaviour in Interbellum. I still want to ask him about it
>>77717386Tarik isn't as vulnerable to e/m weapons either, which is a huge deal for mobile rambos in my opinion.Mostly because im always dropping e/maulers with my bolts. And much less vulnerable to getting oniwaband or something similar thanks to NBW. So he's overall less vulnerable to everything but bts targeting ammo than an asawira. If he had veteran he'd be fucking great actually.
>>77717628But don't you know that Volkolak is a russian nazi folk band? That means CB must all be nazis, too!
>>77718540Poles are actual nazi
>>77711019Well, fair enough, but whatever the end result is, it has to look better than the current one and not look as "modern" as the Szal. Moot point for a while anyway, pretty likely the C1 TAG is gonna be a Gecko MMR. >>77717628Betting that dude didn't bat an eye at the literal in-universe existence of White Supremacist PanOceanian Snowfuckers.
>>77719349Or actual genocidal Yu Jing forces.
>>77719349>White Supremacist PanOceanian Snowfuckers.Keked. Half of pano are literal pajeets, imagine the mental gymnastics of neovikangs.
>>77719349>pretty likely the C1 TAG is gonna be a Gecko MMR.Having two S6s would be unlike the previous TAG pairs, though, and the Cutter has already established that the Code 1 TAG isn't necessarily from the same sectorial as the Operation. The Lizard's a more likely candidate because it's the only remaining old-style Nomad TAG, an MMR Gecko would be more likely to come from a new double Gecko box, because sticking it in the C1 box wouldn't solve the problem of having the twin Combi one in the current pack.
>>77719455They are too stupid for mental gymnastics.

So when is CB going to release a moba or battle Arena Game and how would it work ?

>>77725896>"technical" paints (texture paint)This, but get them by the bucket from companies for scale modellers, they are usually cheaper and more high-quality than GW's. Stuff like AK Interactive or Ammo MIG is pretty good and there are tons of tutorials online.

I'm doing it, boys, I'm going monke. What have I gotten myself into?
>>77727996Keep in mind that 60% of the profiles are 15 points or under. In an elite army like Tunguska, it can really pay to have some decent-if-not-spectacular low-cost units. I guess in that way, they're Tunguska's answer to Corregidor's Jaguars: roughly the same or cheaper than line infantry, but with a more focused niche. In particular, the Specialist Operative profile is a mobile objectives grabber (Super-Jump, dodge on a 15) that can hold her own in a fight and costs only 15 points. The AP Rifle profile is costly at 19 but is a very versatile piece that really punches above her weight class in CC thanks to her MULTI Pistol's +1B working in CC. Either in a complementary duo or haris can do wonders.

Help me out here fatguys.I've purchased an embarrassing about of Infinity miniatures over the past year, with the intention of painting them -exactly- like the studio does. I love their paintjobs and clearly set very high expectations of myself. However I only have a pretty basic grasp of the paintbrush months down the line, previous experience working with fantasy and 40k minis, and am still waiting for an airbrush to arrive. The step by step method of getting these kinds of results is a complete mystery to me. Are there tutorials out there that outline how to get results up to this standard?
>>77738970Angel Giraldez was Infinity's go-to painter for a long time and you can check out his site and videos for painting tutorials. He's a bit of a painting god though so you do occasionally get 'Draw the rest of the fucking owl' tier advice.
>>77734009I was thinking more about a Yaogat core with the MSR +1B, a cheap Panzerfaust, Kornak and 2 Raktoraks. Alternatively, a Haris with the Yaogat MSR, Kornak and 1 Raktorak next to a Raicho and some supporting cast.
>>77738970You need to get pretty good at painting NMM if you want to copy his style
Anyone who wants a good laugh, check the Tohaa forums Gorgos thread.
>>77738970It will take a considerable amount of time and practice to get anywhere near that kind of quality as a newcomer, but you will find several painting turorials on YouTube. Just make sure to study channels beforehand to see what kind of level they are at. Nothing more frustrating to start watching a tutorial only to realise the end result looks like shit anyway. Miniac seems to be a nice place to start, for example.

>>77740636It relies heavily on metacurrency, which some people may like or dislike, but it's quite well made

>>77748741Vanguards currently exist for you to put one or two paramedics in a Vanguard core with Kornak, a Suryat, Anyat, and/or a Raktorak. Other then that, the miniatures are just Yaogat proxies.
>>77748962>NourkiasPart of me is glad that the OCF Umbra Samaritan Haris got a buff from his inclusion (The Nourkias, Samaritan, Kerr- Nau/Xeodron Bro-Haris is fun to theory craft around), but another part of me is annoyed how the Legate is now even more invalidated then before. Literally why ever take him? And why can he still not link with Samaritans?
>>77750817The real invalidation of the Legate was when they made it so technical weapons don't get fireteam bonuses. It's so hard to protect him now.
>>77749450The model looks good but the yellow areas don't read as metal.
Hi anons, imma bouta have my first game in a very long time, first in N4 actually, 150 pts, need some advicePanoc, Svalarheima Sectorial- Knight of Justice (Spitfire)- ORC (Multirifle) (Lt)- Sierra Dronbot- Machinist (Winterfor)- 3x FusiliersMy plan is to basically park the bot somewhere with good coverage, keep the machinist nearby to heal it, band the rest together into a five man fireteam and hope for the bestHow bad/good of a time I'm in for?
>>77751375150 points doesn't sound too fun desu.
>>77751375It's a small game, just play it as it comes and have fun.Remember that the Sierra is more of a defensive piece and it's quite fragile, keep it in the back covering an angle. The KoJ (and ORC, kinda) are your main attack pieces
So I'm looking at starting Infinity with O-12, which would be the better choice: The Starmada Action pack or the O-12 Action pack?
>>77752021They are similar, the former is vanilla while Starmada is a sectorial, so it relies more on fireteams than synergies. I'd probably get both, but start with the action pack
>>77752021If you don't know what to do getting the vanilla pack is probably easier, as it has CodeOne rules and in general should be easier to learn to use.https://store.corvusbelli.com/wargames/infinity/codeone?filter.faction=o12You can follow the C1 releases for O-12 if you are unsure of how to expand on that.
>>77750696>Other then that, the miniatures are just Yaogat proxies. Why would you even do that? It's not like the Yaos are ugly or anything.
>>77748336>>77748516Is the Australian infinity community really that bad? I might just keep on ignoring them if that's the case.
>>77753631They're *very* self-important, and very... catty? Like a bunch of 14 yo girls.
>>77753631Just another case of thin-skinned Americans being unable to handle Aussie bantz.
>>77754692Considering the Aussies ree and ban anyone who claps back at them, it's quite the opposite.
>>77753517Because if you're stuck with three Vanguards from the starter box, or somehow got the Vanguard box itself, you've got to find some use for them.
Anyone know of a good glue that can temporarily hold pieces of the miniature in place? Best if it cleanly breaks off as well with little hard to remove mess. I thought of elmers, but I don't believe that could hold any of the metal pieces like it could plastic. Need it to prime, ink, and then remove some arms.
>>77749450I've been meaning to try out nmm, for smaller parts it seems like a not so awful ordeal
>>77754692Eh it’s let’s bantz and more shitters that think they can weigh in on the health of the game when they keep kicking the shit out of their comparatively small player base
>>77756811As much as I want to up myself as an American, and I think there's some very good US and Canadian players, I think the best players overall are Euros.
>>77755279I think people still just use superglue for that
>>77757414Regular, not gel? Gel seems to be difficult to clear out fully to then re-glue and refit.
Hey, I'm used to playing Imperial Guard in 40K and I was thinking of trying out Ariadne since they seem to be those that can get the most units on the table and from little I've seen lorewise give off a more "regular" dudes vibe which is what I enjoyed a lot about IG.Is this correct or is their playstyle completely different and some other faction would fit me better. I know it is a skirmish game so I obviously can't get as many. I was thinking about picking up that starter with them and Aleph a good while ago since I also liked the Aleph models but never got around to it and that is obviously not available anymore.Side question, are they discontinuing all their starters as a business model, since there seem to be only one left and I feel the first one was available for far longer, is it like for rules update or do they just go out of production and then they make new ones or the old ones return? I've not followed the the community posts at all.
>>77759401>Side question, are they discontinuing all their starters as a business model, since there seem to be only one left and I feel the first one was available for far longer, is it like for rules update or do they just go out of production and then they make new ones or the old ones return? They've moved to only having one in production at a time, the older ones are being split into Action Packs for each faction. The Ariadna half of Coldfront and Beyond has been repacked as the Tartary Action Pack. There's also a rumour that the next Operation will be Corregidor vs Kosmoflot, and released sometime later this year.>they seem to be those that can get the most units on the tableThe latest edition by default hard limits everybody to 15 order-generating units, so that aspect's been toned down, but there is an alternate Free Mode that removes that limit.
>>77759401Ariadna is the Orks of the setting, not the IG.
>>77752021Suicide.
>>77756811Based. Fuck noobs.
>>77759487Thanks but probably not for me then, I read a bit up on the limit and it just seem like a veiled arbitrary buff to "elite" lists and the fact they changed their model to release army packs that are nearly the same price as you would pay for 2 armies in the starter gives me some GW vibes and both of this is the kind of stuff I wanted to avoid. Thanks though
>>77759504YJ is the Orks of the setting.
>>77719592I haven't painted my neoterra or qapu or ramah or the rest of my hassassins because work's kept me busy and infinity news for my stuff has been basically nonexistent for more than a year.
>>77759667YJ is more like chaos marines. Pointlessly evil, staggeringly incompetent, needlessly antagonistic and with no clear design goal, but with some of the best miniatures in the range.
>>77759658while you are right, that the action pack is a bit more expensive, the two action packs contain the minis of the Beyond packs too, which is around 50 bucks ontop of the two-player-starter, so its not as bad as it seems.
>>77759769addendum: twoplayer starter 110 bucks + beyond pack 60 bucks2x Action Pack = 160 bucsyour losing the terrain, but with the old two player starters its not that much of loss, around 10 bucks
>>77759819im a retard: beyond = 50
>>77759658>it just seem like a veiled arbitrary buff to "elite" listsI wouldn't stay arbitrary, it's a very deliberate (if somewhat crude) move to stop the Polish spam list. Even Ariadna's got expensive dudes they can spend their points on unless you're USARF. The actual buff to elite lists is the proliferation of +1 (or more) Order units.
