Cute Woof EditionPrevious thread: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/77549220/As it says on the tin, a Thread where we discuss monster boys and their place in settings like WoD/CofD, CoC, DnD, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, RIFTS, GURPS, and many more.Ask questions, make suggestions, post sfw art and be excellent to each other>Thread Question:How many monster races per setting?
>>77673797What was the monster boys' tax policy? Did they maintain a standing army? What did they do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these monster girls? By the end of the war, /mgw/ is gone but all of the monster girls aren’t gone – they’re in the mountains. Did monster boys pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby monster girls, in their little monster girl cradles?
>>77674127>Did monster boys pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby monster girls, in their little monster girl cradles?Yes, since that’s the best way to destroy your enemy. I could maybe see them adopting, if we say monster boys are magically mutated.
>>77674127What army, what war??What did I miss lmao
>>77674559Just copy pasta, but one that gives interesting questions
>>77674559It's a supremely autistic G.R.R. Martin quote, except monsterboys instead of Aragorn and monstergirls instead of orcs.
>How many monster races per setting?I must be past 30, but in fairness, that's spread out over several planes of existence and planets.
Monster boys should be a mutation based on character and background magic radiation. So if you are awake at night a lot you start to resemble moths or owls, etc.By consuming essence (pulverized stag horn, blood of horses, etc) the mutations can be guided even further to resemble the essence and animal/monster.Time wise it should be early 2000s and, of course, only males with y-chromosomes can mutate
>>77674953Too furry centric for me, but else sounds good.
>>77675627>he doesn't want to be a flamboyant owl-harpy boy with a horse cock and antlersPathetic. Why are you even on /tg/
>>77673797>Cute Woof EditionMore Woof
I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna boomp
>>77674953I disagree with it being only a phenomenon starting in the 2000sThe magic radiation fits much better in a fantasy setting, less room for immersion breaking IMO>>77675627doesnt even have to be furry animalsI posted in the last thread about jungle tribes eventually turning into frog-folk! Lots of possibilities available here, with stuff like shadow magic or necromancy turning one into a demon or devil!
>>77680362>I disagree with it being only a phenomenon starting in the 2000sYou misunderstood me. I ment that the setting takes place in the early 2000s, not that it started then. Monster boys are just a thing in daily life and being normal is a sign of femininity, so even a faun twink is considered manly when compared to a buff weightlifter that is normal.
Here's your monster daddy for the evening.
>>77680746And yet, if only females are normal humans he would be considered to be very feminine compared to pic related
>>77680839That's a dumb idea. Besides, women don't like manly men to begin with. They like pristine vulnerable men they can "fix".
>>77680860That would generally be teen girls.
>>77680908No that's generally women as a whole. They don't like rugged muscle men. They like toned super models & androgynous boys like Timothy Calamet.
>>77680959Talk with more women. Competence is a huge factor in attractiveness. It gets tiresome trying to constantly lift the spirits of an apathetic idiot, or fix an unrepentant asshole.
>>77681369You really are not reading what I'm saying. Women want a project but also what someone who's more femininely attractive as opposed to a handsome manly dude.
>>77674127The dragon men army is defensiv with much importance placed on securing their Thunderous mountains, they gain energy from lightning storms and heat. They have harsh tax laws which fund the magic schools and army.
>arguing about women in the monster boy threadhttps://youtu.be/h7QjqrlLg2s
>>77681430I am reading what you write, that's why I'm telling you to talk to more women. You sound like me when I was 15.
Does Orcling count as a monsterboy?
>>77682980Definitely counts as an ugly bugger, damn.
>>77680693>>77680839>>77680860>>77680959>>77681430This is not representative of everyone, like at all. Attractiveness is subjective yknow. Some people like musclebound men, others like skinny boys. Theres room for preference all in between those two as well.>Monster boys are just a thing in daily life and being normal is a sign of femininity, so even a faun twink is considered manly when compared to a buff weightlifter that is normal.but why? Would not the inherently subversive effects of magic lead to massive distrust of the boys who are changed?I think people are forgetting about the the wide category that encapsulates "buff" monsterboys. IE Minotaurs, crocodile men, eagles, etc.
I just want a satyr/faun boyfriend bros...
>>77680362sidebar, but if furry animals are, well, furries, and scaly animals are scalies, what would a frog be called?
>>77683804>Would not the inherently subversive effects of magic lead to massive distrust of the boys who are changedIt depends on how widespread magic is, you have to trust monster folk if they are nearly every other civilisation near you
>>77682538Nah bitch. 15 year olds still think that being big & manly will get them bitches.>>77683804Most people are simply NPCs.
>>77683723Oh no, *this* is bugger.
>>77684569Remember, /tg/ stands for totally gay!
>>77685032membranies? stickies? I dont really know haha. I generally categorize any sort of anthropomorphic creature, mammal reptile bird or otherwise, as furry because its all 99.9% overlapping and its just easier to get across what you mean using the singular term>>77685539amphibies is good actually
>>77688772>/tg/ stands for totally gay!Can confirm. (Anyone knows the sauce of this pic?)
>page 8Here, have a cute monsterboy
>be me >be inquisitorial monster hunter>Fuck Monsters, (in straight way idiot)>town says a flying beast is starring through windows and stealing lamps>ride into the woods>horse trips and sends me flying into a thorny bush>>wake up pic is standing over me>oh shi>wait it’s just bandaging my wounds>it actually kinda cu->it notices I have woken up and flies away>nice as->go back to town and say that the monster is no threat to citizenry>be exiled because i said a monster wasn’t a threat
Healing magic: if a target is subjected to or is channeling healing magic in a extended period they have to roll a magic mutation Magic mutation1-Stag horns2-Satyr legs3-soft skin4-increased ability to navigate forests5-lower impulse control6-goat ears7-cow tail8-bunny ears9-bunny tail10-shrinking11-dragonfly wings12-lower half snake
>>77694420Is that in addition to the background radiation mutations?
>>77695129“Subjected” was in reference to background radiation and getting healed. Not all places have the same radiation or any at all. I’m thinking of making a list that scales with levels of radiation.
>>77674559he trying into worldbuilding, to thread was not deleted
>>77694420We should expand on that list.
>>77680959At What is he looking like this?
>>77697808The dishes his roommate forgotAgain
>>77694420Channeling magic should not be relegated to just healing spells. It would make sense for literally any caster to be at risk for such mutations.I would think that sorcerers, having magic abilities through their ancestry would be doubly prone to the changes, given their exposure for their entire lives.>rollable table for mutative effectsFantastic idea! I think there should be either a 1d100 chart for everything, or some sort of separate chart by magic school. Perhaps cap results depending on the severity/level of mana exposure?Ex: Healing magic uses your table. If you use 1-2 levels of healing magic spells in a day, roll 1d4 and consult the chart. If you use level 3-4 healing spells in a day, roll 1d6, and so on. I think this would truly emphasize the chaotic nature of magic, and make players wary of abusing it if they want to stay normal (or it would make them use it more with the explicit intention of becoming a monsterboy). The more I think about it, it sounds vaguely like chaos in Warhammer(image source is @DierVonDan twitter)
>>77699277I don’t think there should be a equel chance for all the results, The lowest result should be things that are not psychical with some mutations only being available if you extensively use magic (like fx. Warhammer rpgs shock table)
>>77699447>I don’t think there should be a equel chance for all the results, yeah exactly, the more mundane results would have the lower numerical values, with the higher values only being rolled for if you are using powerful magic or like decide to make your home on top of a mana font>>77699468I LOVE seeing armor made for anthropomorphic anataomy like digitigrade legs, horns and wings
>>77699588Maybe a system where you can use spells “unbound” which are stronger but giveS + to mutation rolls.
A question was raised, do monsterboy mutations become heritable? I dont see why the mutations wont affect girls too!Pic related would be adorable to see running around>>77699716Utilizing these effects in a homebrew system would make it alot more polished, but im trying to give ideas for those who want to slap the monsterboy themes on top of an existing ruleset
>>77699803>hereditaryI would say no, but a predisposition to mutate in a way similiar to the father would make sense>why only malesBecause this is the monster boy thread.
Ok, how I Can understand that I looking at monster boy, not on male of other race? What is monster Boys? Are they cute classical monster like dragons, minotaur, medusas? Can orc be monster boy? Drow Can be monster boy? Do they must abduct human male/females to have sex with them?
He has no anus or cock.
>>77697808Don't worry about it.

>>77704023What monster is this and how much of petting does he need
>>77705345He fits the theme of magical mutation
>>77705557Ah, so he needs a good hugging, then.
>>77700654With my ideal version of this setting, the vast monsterboys would all be some subset of human, that mutated and changed, with actual monsters being people degenerated beyond all recognition and humanity
>>77708724>>77691915these are adorable!
here's my mortally challenged PC please be gentle with him
>>77685984You really do sound like you're 15.
>>77673797Resembling a cross between a gibbon, a douc, and a bigfoot, the Yao Guo is a large, shy, rarely seen monster boy which dwells in misty rain forests and in deep inland mountain valleys. The creature is covered in body hair that grows up to 10 inches long, and ranges in color, usually either blonde red or pitch black dark. The monster boy has large, slit pupil eyes that are uncanny valley similar to a human's eye, The creature has a blue face with complex chin and jowl hair that is usually either white or gold and resembles a beard, a sloped back forehead, two large, sensitive ears that resemble a bat's ears very faintly, 2 large nostrils, and a jutting forward jaw with square block teeth. They are both paradoxically hard to find and easy to find, hard to find because they are very arboreal creatures who generally remain moving about in trees steadily, and easy to find because the sort of environment they like is well known to researchers. Yao Guo have been observed making temporary umbrellas from wide flat leaves, using stone knives and axes, and building temporary tree-teepees, but they seem to have no knowledge of fire, and most individuals seem no more intelligent than the average normal wild man, albeit intelligent enough to be somewhere near paleo-stone age, and their speech such as it is is simply meaning-dense complexes of monkey sound patterns and facial expressions.

>>77711495Have one more. If you like stuff like this, get a Baby Bestiary from Trove.
If all monsters are boys they have to have willing human females (since majority of humans would genocide them if they went rape mode), they could make a deal to teach the woman or more rights if we assume the rest of the world has medieval morals.
>>77716364i remember reading the baby bestiary, i just forgot how great the art was
So, the setting we are building:Are monsterboys now natural, separate species, or a mutation? In my opinion the second one would be cooler, but i also like Shadowrun, so what do i know
>>77717710Mutation, with humans Settling places with background radiation that causes the males to transform into satyrs or whatever with male offspring having the some or the same mutation. Then after maybe two generations there is a staple population of the same monster boy. Maybe also add a skewered gender ratio.
Not to interrupt the worldbuilding, but does anyone have any pics of sci-fi undead-like things? Metal skeletons and cyberzombies and the like. I don't know of any other than 40k Necrons and pic related, both of which are great but neither of which are pretty enough for what I need.
>>7767412710 yiffs per day - tax policy100 yiffers per squad, 100 squads per yiffbrigade - standing armythey yiff in times of flood and famine>what about the monster girlsthey do not yiff
>>77717710>Are monsterboys now natural, separate species, or a mutation?Retrovirus that attacks chromosome Y. Women are immune (until first crossing-over.)
