The premier league has like 6 teams with a big international following and a few with more regional following based on owners etc, the other big leagues only really have 1-3 teams which attract international interest and aside from RM/Barca/Juve, none of them are really that well followed. I have never seen a casual Bayern or Atletico fan, the plastics have ditched the Milan sides these days to. I would hazard a guess and say that the premier league has just as many teams with an international following than all of the other big leagues combined.
The PL fans tend to be more loyal to because of the establishment of the league becoming almost like a national league in many countries with the constant broadcasts whereas most RM/Barca fans are strictly for recent success or Messi/Ronaldo, you rarely see the casual Barca fans tuning in for the games vs Eibar or Betis. I have lived across a few continents and visited lots of countries and despite what the amount of likes on facebook pages say, ive never seen a Milan shirt or a PSG shirt but ive seen plenty of the top 6 in the premier league aswell as RM/Barca/Juve, aside from them you dont really see much acual support, some of the websites which collect fan data on big clubs will list teams like Roma as one of the best supported in the world because of likes on social media but thats obviously bs.
