CS degrees are kind of stupid because the most productive programmers are either self-taught or taught during the reign of C and assembly. You can still be a productive programmer with a CS degree nowadays though. Code monkeys generally give Comp Sci a bad name.

The sad thing is that it really is so easy to advance from being a codemonkey. It's such an exceptionally low bar to pass and CSfags still choose to be either too lazy or easily intimidated by higher concepts to ever change from their codemonkey status.

No engineering degree should be S tier, they are all C tier at best these days.

I'm a different person and I agree that engineering is amazing for job prospects right now, as it's nearly impossible to oversaturate that field. However, I also think that computer science is amazing for jobs because I doubt that AI will replace any jobs, given that even AI-generated art hasn't replaced anyone's job.
