How can we improve the "peer-review'' process of science, specially medical and biological sciences? I heard it might not be unbiased after all.

Man, just shut the fuck up.
If you /pol/tards still haven't figured out how to end wokeness or are too lazy to do so, then you deserve all the misery you get.
The fact that white Democrats, white CEOs, white billionaires, etc., cruise by all this wokeness unscathed shows what complete and utter fucking failures you tards are.

First we needed to fight through a republican party who is so used to instantly surrendering at the slightest threat of being called rayciss, but even without the right learning to use cancel culture to its advantage it was eating more lefties than righties.

The left openly embracing hitler-caliber ethnic cleansing rhetoric is really helping some cucks find their balls though, so that's good.

Commierot is far too deeply embedded now. "Fixing" it would effectively mean dismantling all of western civilization, which might be slightly beyond the capabilities of /pol/.

With the rise of atheism beastiality studies will become more prevalent and important.
>>
>>13259374
Bruh, the vast majority of the time, good ideas aren't actually met with EXPLICIT "not your personal army" comments. That's just a way to denote the undercurrent of /pol/'s culture of misdirected energy at best and utter uselessness at worst.
>>
>>13259384
How does atheism make bestiality important? I don’t understand the logic here.
>>
>>13259406
When polled most atheists don't find beastiality morally wrong, they make beastiality porn, and atheist philosophers have argued in favor of it, in certain contexts [when the animal is not harmed], and as such we see beastiality legalized in some western countries and so more studies will be done on this atheist sexual preference

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/04/02/state-fear-ministers-used-covert-tactics-keep-scared-public/
>Dated March 22, the paper written by the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviours (SPI-B) stated: “A substantial number of people still do not feel sufficiently personally threatened; it could be that they are reassured by the low death rate in their demographic group, although levels of concern may be rising … the perceived level of personal threat needs to be increased among those who are complacent, using hard-hitting emotional messaging. To be effective this must also empower people by making clear the actions they can take to reduce the threat.”

>The same document presented a grid of 14 options for increasing compliance which included “use media to increase sense of personal threat”, a tactic which was seen as having a “high” effectiveness though spill-over effects “could be negative”.

We publish EVERYTHING online.
We then counter-balance those rants with reviews in the comment section and likes-dislikes ratings made by both specialists and common public, so one can switch between those ratings if he likes.

Psychoanalysis is not a science. So who cares what they publish. Most stuff in J Am Psychoanal Assoc. is junk anyway, just look at it.
>>
>>13259296
You need to first discover real metrics instead of self reported psychometrics and get rid subjective observations like identifying/diagnosing things based on color, size, or shape that hearkens back to phrenology and other outdated pseudosciences.
>>
>>13264841
With some even more liberal form of arXiv.
No mods but some ai porn remover maybe.
No end to the discussions. You can modify the ammount of comments you want to see. Only from some reviewers with relevant degrees (we both probably know that this alone will not guarantee the quality of the comments, but even if it were them alone allowed to comment, it would already be better than the modern peer-review, because now they have to do it secretly, for otherwise it would be too much embarrassing for them (they never confess that they may have no specialists in the subject, for example) so they should be forced to publish all the applications on their site (and only few selected ones in paper) and on that database this site I imagined would be founded. If it was some bad science, reviewers would explains why and how exactly that science was bad. So students can learn how not to do science, just like Haneke said that the best way to learn how to write sceenplays is by reading the bad ones. And so in those settings you can adjust it to your taste from strict academic digest to unmoderated imageboard with anons commenting. And that setting would be by default, because watch this board, it's relatively reasonable and surely much more fun than queer-review, where you're almost punished for doing science, like I would be shocked if I didn't know that institutions are not to help scientists, but to control them.

And I share this business plan because I want as many of these trees as there are torrent servers. Information wants to be free. And it must be free. Because that is the preservance of the civilization, not less. Artists and scientists should be funded by their relatives who know them from the childhood as bright chaps, and later by their fans and by their inventions if they're lucky to be taken under some rich guy's wing. Scientists shouldn't be motivated by money, because that's how they sell out and that is the path to the worst forms of the bad science, also published forms.

>You need to first discover real metrics instead of self reported psychometrics and get rid subjective observations like identifying/diagnosing things based on color, size, or shape that hearkens back to phrenology and other outdated pseudosciences.
So, how are you going to diagnose things like hearing loss or vision loss objectively and not on self-reported psychometrics?
>>
>>13265453
Measuring neural or synaptic response.
>>
>>13265470
>Measuring neural or synaptic response.
I expected to hear this answer. Psychometric methods for determining hearing threshold or visual acuity are robust and proven methods and it is questionable whether measuring neural correlates is much more efficient or accurate. Furthermore, it is also questionable whether neural correlates are good correlates for hearing loss or visual acuity deterioration. The absence of an expected neuronal signal for hearing loss or vision loss, for example, does not mean that they did not occur. If you want to measure subjective experiences, e.g. how well a person sees or hears, you will not get around psychometry.

All professional physicists use arXiv which does not do peer review at all. It is better for the reader to review material themselves. If something is good and important, they will hear about it from their "peers." Peer review is a relic of the pre-internet era and also a tool for the government to censor undesirable results.

How to Reject any Scientific Manuscript
https://vixra.org/abs/0907.0020
>After a short overview of arguments pro and contra peer reviews, examples of gross misjudgement are compiled, followed by an attempt to identify some frequent, recurrent patterns of unjustified rejection of scientific manuscripts. A few specific questions are studied in more detail: the claim for still more precise and comprehensive definitions, the right way of handling "parallel theories", and the frequent misuse of the term "pseudoscience". Finally, practical rules to improve refereeing, and "basic rights of authors" are proposed, together with a word of encouragement for future authors.

Nothing about it is fixable anon. Leftist subversion has wormed its way deep into all features of western civilization. I don't even think of it as a purely leftist feature anymore, western nations have been infected with a social virus that is insistent on deconstruction in all platforms. Literature, television, film, even games. I think an honest-to-god researcher studying societal behavioristics has the most incredible set of data to draw from imaginable. He would never be published, but it would be interesting to see an interpretation of what is going on
