because nothing(the absence of something) doesnt itself exist?i dont know man, im retarded.
What is the point of this garbage thread?
>>10646591Typically we put "nothing" into a different category than actualy realized an observable things. When we ask why there is something rather than nothing we don't quantify over the "nothing" part because it's not what we mean and intend to express.Since nothing is the negation of something this would essentially be P and NOTP because "nothing" would be both nothing and "something". Contradictions are bad so we don't do this. The humanities board is better for this sort of thing.

How can the absence of existence "exist"? It's a nonsense statement.
>>10646872Logic is part of maths. This is an exercise in simple logic.
The existence of nothingness is wholly dependent on there not being something. We know that there is something. Therefore, we also know that there isn't nothing. This question should never even be asked, because its very premise is fundamentally illogical.
