Bob is a fairly average guy. He was walking home one day when the sky split open and dragged him and a bunch of other people into a purple ish portal

Honestly dude, can’t pick between Naruto and Bleach, so I’m just gonna wait it out then vote.

You wake up in the middle of a park, not knowing where you are. You look around, and are surprised to see that all the signs are in japanese, which you can somehow understand.
You still have your old clothes and backpack
Soon enough you also notice your game interface powers. They were right out of those trashy web novels and fanfics.
Your stats are pretty average, 5 in everything.
You also have a mana bar, but you don't know what to do with it.
The notifications tab helpfully informs you that you have been transported into karakura town, so you were clearly in bleach.
Its still daytime, so hopefully there won't be any hollows around.
You are also homeless, so you should figure out what to do.

you decide to try and find shelter for the night.
Thankfully, you happen to know japanese, so finding your way to hotel isn't difficult.
The problem is that you only have what litle money was in your pocket.
You remember that there other people sucked into the portal with you. But you don't know how to find them, and they weren't in the park with you.
You decide to experiment with your powers.
Like with any gamer system, it should be easy to increase your stats upto a certain point, after which you will hit diminishing returns.
Doing pushups and some other exercises grants you one point in endurance and strength.

AGI 5

Your health and mana pool are both at 50, and your skills are only mundane things like japanese and math.
The only exceptions is "gamer's body" which treats your body like its in a video game
Meaning that you won't be dead or injured in any real way until your hp hits zero
After which you will immediately die.
You still can't feel your mana. If its anything like rieatsu it will attract hollows if it becomes too high.
Before you forget, you try looking at everything in the room. After a while of staring at things, you unlock the observe skill, which gives you info on anything you use it on.
So far everything is fairly standard as far as this powerset goes.
After getting some rest, you wake up to the next day
What to do next?

You think about trying to figure out your place in the timeline of events
It might be possible to just let things play out normally, but there is no guarantee that it will
just because this is the bleach world does not mean that things will go exactly as they did in canon, it could be some alternate reality.
Still, figuring this out might be challenging. What means will you use?
>stalk ichigo
>write in
>>
>>5424861
why did you post it twice?
>>
>>5424858
you try to figure out where ichigo is, but you don't even know the name of his school
and there are multiple schools in the town judging from what you can find on the internet
You decide to walk around outside and observe a few people, since you have nothing better to do
The average MAG stat that most people have is 1, and this could pose a problem since it could attract hollows to you
Still, you walk around for a while and happen to spot a few ghosts
Seeing them in person, you start to get a feel for what seperates them from normal people.
You even put your hand through some of them, although they usually get mad at you for it
Eventually you get a detect rieatsu skill. Its through training this skill that you are able to finally track down ichigo, although this takes most of the day.
His rieatsu stands out like a beacon because of how high it is. \When you see him, you try to stay a distance away, your efforts grant you a level one stealth skill
you see him

Ichigo seems to be walking around with rukia, so its probably the start of canon. His magic stat doesn't seem high enough to be captain level like it was in the soul society arc.
So there is no risk of you being caught up in any shenanigans just yet
You think about what to do next

Either we get money to pay for more days in the hotel, or we get magic to become a magic hobo.
>>
>>5425300
you decide to do two things
The first is to experiement with you magic, and the second is to secure a source of income
First things first, you head back to your hotel room.
Inside, you use the sense rieatsu skill but this time inside of yourself.
And as expected, there is rieatsu within yourself as well. You focus on it and try to will it to move.
The progress is very glacial, but eventually you get it to move through your body.
The mana control skill you just unlocked speeds up the process as well
You also unlocked a meditation skill that helps you increase mana regeneration.
After that you just circulate mana throughout your body for a while, in an attempt to improve your control over it. Eventually you try to expel mana from your body.
Mana bullet is the skill that is created as a result. It costs 10 mana per use though, so you can only use it five times.
Your newly acquired skills might help you against low level hollows, but they won't let you survive. Unfortuately, you abilities don't let you survive without eating or sleeping.
You still need to get money, but finding a job in japan as a foreigner and without any sort of id would be hard.
>find a job
>try to survive by stealing (use inventory skill to steal)
>>
>>5425372
>find a job
Maybe Don Kanonji needs a magic assistant? And there's always the Unagiya shop
>>
>>5425372
>>find a job
>>
>>5425374
>>5425408
You try to find a job in karakura town, but unfortunately most employers require some form of id
you could try working a cash job, but then you would be paid less too
You only have enough money to last a month, so you decide to hurry in your attempt to find a job.
One night when returning to the hotel, you come across your first hollow.
This one was clearly attracted to your rieatsu as its been stalking you for a while
Making sure no one else is around, you fire a shot into its body.
It shrieks in pain and jumps at you to attack
The stealth oriented hollow is not very physically strong thankfully, so you are able to hold it in place and shoot more mana bullets into its skull
Soon, it dies.
You level up once and gain 5 stat points. You also get a cash drop, about a hundred bucks.
This could potentially be a useful source of income. Infact, you don't think you even need a job if one weak hollow drops this much money
>keep looking for job
>hunt hollows instead

>>5425452
>hunt hollows instead
Money and experience together.
Might draw attention to us from other supernatural being like shinigami, fullbringers or bounts, but that could be a good thing
>>
>>5425452
>hunt hollows instead
>also find time to train.
>>
>>5425458
>>5425539
you decide that hunting hollows would be the best option, as it would let you train and make money at the same time.
But first, you would have to train a bit just to make sure that you don't die
The hollow you just killed was a stealth oriented one and thus less physically powerful

you decide to focus on the martial stats
This is a video game inspired power afterall, and mages are typically not that competent in video gamey settings.
Seriously, you've played some games where the warrior class had better magic than the mage!
Also, unlike in a game, you only have one life. A defense focused warrior sounds like the safer option
You take a trip to the gym the next morning.
Knowing that you can increase your stats through training, you start lifing weights. you start with a hundred pounds bench press. As the stats gains start rolling in, you start lifting more heavty weights. You have to rest a while to regain your stamina. But in just half a day, you can lift all of the weights in the gym no problem. Upto 400 pounds, specifically.
But its clear that you have reached your limit since the gains have stopped. To increase your strength any more you would likely have to lift heavier weights.
At the end of the session some people are a bit amazed by the sheer volume you are lifting.
You leave soon after that. Human gyms probably won't help with your stat gains and would likely just attract unneeded attention after a certain point.
Your strenght stat is now 20, and endurace is at 15. Vitality has only increased by 2 points though, at 7.
Still, these stat gains would be pointless if you don't have a weapon to use them with
You try infusing a branch with mana to try creating some sort of reinforcement spell, but it just breaks. After trying for a while, the system grants you a mana infusion skill.
It doesn't increase your strength, but it lets you hit hollows with an infused weapon.
Now, you can actually effect hollows physically.
You still need a weapon to hit them with though.

a bat isn't really a good weapon especially when it comes to deflecting or parrying a weapon. that being said I'm willing to change to support if if you agree to ditch it for a better weapon when we get some actual money (mostly because the skills will transfer over like bludgeoning pro).

I'm also willing to meet you half way and get a Kanabō

You decide to go with a bat because it would scale well with strength, if you go by video game logic
finding a metal bat is pretty easy, you locate one at a sports equipment store
you also grab a long cooking knife as a backup weapon
You inventory both items, which also lets you equip them at any moment
Inventory was another power that you haven't explored much thus far. But it was pretty simple. You can store stuff in it as long as its solid and small enough. You can also equip things right from your inventory.
That night, you try going hollow hunting again. You flare your rieatsu to attract more hollows. Eventually, another one shows up.
You observe it as it approaches you

Shit, this thing is pretty strong. You equip your weapon and brace yourself as it charges you.
You fire a quick mana bullet into its gaping maw as it tries to bite you. The thing resembles an overgrown monkey. It recoils in pain.
But then it punches you pretty hard in the chest
-40 hp

You quickly get up as adrelanin dulls the pain of the blow, and fire off a few more shots of mana bullets.
The hollow catches up to you again and tries to punch you. This time, you hit it as hard as you can across its skull while willing your
mana to strengthen you attack.

New skill created!
Power attack lvl 1
Increases the strength of your attack by 25%
Cost: 10 mana

You ignore the notification for now as you attack the hollow again while its down. It grabs your wrist and tries to wrestle with you, and its clearly much stronger than you. But thankfully, you have a backup weapon. You use the knwife in your other arm to stab it repeatedly in the eye.

Level up!
Level up!

Huh, you leveled up twwice from that. This one was much stronger than the last one. You quickly suppress your rieatsu to prevent others from sneaking up on you.

But you are almost dead, and that hollow was stronger than it looked. Its possible that for spiritual beings, there magic stat also increases their strength, because otherwise it shouldn't have been able to overpower you.
You now have 15 unspent stat points
You pick up the cash the hollow dropped, 500 this time, and head back home.
Sleeping in your bed heals you to full health again, but now you consider what you should do next

You decide to keep training and investing in your stats.
You run around a bit to try to increase your agility. You gain a few points, but its clear that it won't be as easy to increase compared to strength, for which you can just increase the ammount of weight you lift.
Vitality is the same, it seems to increase from physical activity, but at a very slow rate.
You don't know how to increase your magic stat though
If it works like rieatsu in bleach, you could increase it through training in your spirit form.
Accessing your spirit form might pose some complications.
You can feel your spirit, but you don't know how to exit your body.
You meditate a bit to try and seperate, but to no avail.
With that done, you focus on increaing your strenght. You think that you might be able to find some weights to lift at the junk yard. You find one using the internet and walk there. After pushing some wreckage around and (partially) lifiting some cars, you get a 10 point increase in strength.
You grind your power attack and mana bullet skills a bit to increase their effectiveness. They are now at level 10 each and cost only 5 mana to use.
Thankfully the junkyard is abandoned so no one sees you.
