Saiyans. Known throughout the universe as the warrior race, their power and combat prowess proved invaluable in the Covenant's downfall. And with the largest threat to the PTO destroyed, their remnants scattered across space, the universe has been united under one banner. Peace reigns across the galaxy, under the rule of Lord Freeza, Emperor of the Universe. But not all wish it to be this way. Remnants of those who were conquered are gathering in the shadows, increasing their power, and plotting their revenge. Despite this newfound age of peace swiftly spreading across the stars, there are those who would seek its end. Will you be able to stop them, or shall the universe once more be plunged into the fires of war?

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest! This story takes place in an alternate timeline within the greater Dragonball EU. You the players control Karn: once an ordinary Saiyan warrior with a meager powerlevel of 2,830 who has risen to become a mighty Berserker Super Saiyan, and so much more. Throughout your many adventures, the “Dragon of New Salda” has grown into the symbol of Saiyan might and power, widely recognized across the universe as Freeza's close friend and confidant, not to mention his right hand man and General of his forces. From humble beginnings on the now long gone Planet Vegeta, Karn has become the pride of his people, and their greatest champion.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The Queen of New Salda tournament took place, dozens of women competing to claim the title. After all the twists and turns of the battle, after all was said and done, one of Karn's students, the Stand-wielding Cenoria, was declared the winner and first Queen of New Salda. After the tournament, life settled back down. Months passed rather uneventfully, Karn growing to enjoy the peace he'd won. But then, one day after training the students, he suddenly received a surprise call from Arctus.

“Karn, are you there?” Freeza's cousin Arctus thinks to you, catching you by surprise. “Can you hear me?”
“Arctus? Of course, what's going on?” you reply, confused. “Did something happen?”
“You could say that. My trap worked.” he exclaims, his excitement coursing through the link even though you have no idea what he's talking about. “We got 'em. I know where those Remnant bastards are hiding.”

As he tells you this, suddenly everything stops. Your heart skips a beat, realizing that there is now a real chance you all will be able to finally take them out once and for all! But the good news doesn't stop there.

“I've just arrived at Planet Hoven, the world they're hiding out on.” he tells you. “But it gets even better. Guess who we managed to pull from a security camera's memory?”
“Who?” you ask, Meloka looking over at you confused. So you telepathically add her to the mental link, just in time.

“Babidi. He was seen there with some of their leaders recently.” he thinks, your jaw dropping. This is it! “I'm just outside the planet's atmosphere now, my Vulture Droids and Tekkadan's mobile suits have the planet surrounded. Nothing's getting off there alive.”
“Then what are we waiting for?” you reply, bringing your right hand to your forehead immediately. But then he stops you, continuing to talk.
“I've got them surrounded, get everything and everyone you need for this one.” he tells you seriously. “King Cold is coming along as well, once you're ready reach out, I'll have you and whoever you're bringing along arrive simultaneously and we can begin our attack. You have five minutes to gather everything you need for this.”

He then ends the mental link, you and Meloka sharing a look. This is big.

“What's goin' on?” Broly asks you, clearly sensing something wrong from both of your expressions. “Mom, Dad? What's happening?”

“They found Babidi.”

Your son's eyes widen in surprise, no doubt understanding the implications of this as well. After a moment his expression turns serious, addressing you in a matching tone.

“Do you want me an' Cauli along for this one too?” he asks you seriously, no sense of eagerness or fear in his tone. “Or should we hold down everything here so you two don't have to worry about protecting us?”

He's clearly thinking through this seriously, knowing full well that despite his power he could end up being a liability. But this brings up a serious point. If Babidi's working with the Remnants, those Lin Kuei with their magic and Stands will be a much greater threat. But is this something you can do alone?

Well? How will you do this?
>Karn is going alone. Babidi has mind control powers, and no one else is immune to that. You don't want to have to fight them, should he control them
>Karn and Meloka are going, everyone else is staying behind just in case
>Have just Karn and Caulifla go, with their Stands they can fight the other Stand users
>Take everyone. Broly and Caulifla, Vegeta and Cenoria, Meloka, Nappa, Leyas and Sarada, get everyone of the upper tier who can be ready for the battle to go

>Take everyone. Broly and Caulifla, Vegeta and Cenoria, Meloka, Nappa, Leyas and Sarada, get everyone of the upper tier who can be ready for the battle to go
We might be able to attack from two fronts if we have enough capable fighters.

>Take everyone. Broly and Caulifla, Vegeta and Cenoria, Meloka, Nappa, Leyas and Sarada, get everyone of the upper tier who can be ready for the battle to go
There's not a snowball's chance in hell that we're gonna pull it off by ourselves, and knowing how many of our enemies there are, it'd be wise to have a diverse and capable cast of fighters. That wormy fuck Babidi slipped past us because there was nobody to pick up Karn and Guldo's slack while in hell.

I agree with you and I'm not changing my vote, but remember that there's a very real risk of everybody besides Caulifla and Karn being subverted.
>>
>>5421480
Hey GD, I actually had a question.
Does Babidi's brainwashing spell require a mental connection to the target?
>>
>>5421495
>Require a mental connection
On some level. But whatever Towa had put in Karn's head keeps him immune to the wizard's subversion. Also, the stronger someone's mental is, the longer it takes to possess them.
>>
>>5421494
Fuck, you're also right about that mind control bs. If I had to guess, Babidi's magic exploits the weak point of a person's psyche such as insecurities and wriggles its way into brainwashing. Of all the teammates we could bring I worry the most for Leyas, Sarada, Nappa, and Vegeta.
>>
>>5421506
Vegeta is actually one of the ones I'm least worried about in regards to brainwashing.
He should know exactly how back it can get, so it should give him a slight subconscious resistance against it.
Past that, he's also got the willpower to at least resist orders from Babidi if he does end up getting subverted.
>>
>>5421503
Oh I wasn't asking because I was worried about Karn getting brainwashed.
I was more concerned with another trick Karn figured out with one of his signature techniques and mental connections.

"I need you two to come with us." you tell him, Meloka nodding as she agrees with you. "Take Caulifla and go to the ship, get all of your weapons and both your mother and I's as well, and bring them back."

"Yes sir!" he replies, immediately blasting off. Less than a second later Caullifla takes off as well, flying off after him as Meloka turns to you.
“Who else should we ask along?” she asks you.
“Everyone.” you reply, closing your eyes and reaching out telepathically. You need the best of the best on this mission, so you reach out to the strongest of your friends and allies here on this world. “Everyone, listen up! Arctus found Babidi and we're about to attack. I'm leaving in four minutes, get everything you need and meet me here at my ki signature.”

Everyone answers in the affirmative, everyone except for Ubo that is.

“I'm not on world at the moment, but I will meet you all there as soon as possible.” he replies. “I'm closer to Arctus than you all, so it will be faster for me to go straight there.”
“Understood. Be careful, and don't get too close until all of us appear.” you reply. “We don't want him to know we're coming until the last possible second.”
“That's a good plan, I agree.” Ubo replies, ending the mental connection.
“Arctus really found him.” Meloka says, but her expression is worried. “But why is he there?”
“Why would our enemies gather together? Probably for safety.” you answer her, trying to dispel your own doubts. But something feels wrong. You aren't sure what, but you have the feeling that you're missing something.

“Here Dad!” Broly calls out, your adoptive son flying down with a whole mess of items held in his shield as he holds it like a bowl.
“We brought everything!” Caulifla calls out, the two setting his shield down on the ground then she unslings your sword and hammer off her back. “Here Daddy.”
“Thanks kiddo.” you say, putting the weapons on in their usual positions on your back. You feel more relieved with the weight of the weapons on your back, then look over as your wife channels her ki into the twin maces, dozens of ki needles protruding through the metal head and turning both into menacing morning stars. “Been awhile since I've seen you use those.”

“If that bastard's back, he's no doubt gathered enough mind controlled goons to be a problem.” she replies, flipping one around and catching it back in her hand.
“I was thinking the same thing.” King Vegeta says, he and Queen Cenoria descending down beside the four of you. “We all had better be ready for a battle.”
“I-I'll do everything I can to stop him.” Cenoria says, her Stand Velvet Green momentarily appearing behind them both. “What's all this?”
“All sorts'a stuff I picked up on different missions.” Caulifla says, picking up a couple of the seven golden bottles and handing one to each of them. “Take these. They can heal any wounds you have, no matter how severe.”

“Thank you, Caulifla.” King Vegeta says, taking one and holding it to his body with his tail. Cenoria watches him and does the same, holding it to her side identically.
“Handing out healing items, huh?” Sarada says, she and Tatsu dropping down next. “Better have enough for everyone.”
“I have five more.” she says, holding two out to them. Who each take one as well, then Caulifla takes a couple steps back and hits herself with her Clothes Beam. “Alright, now I'm ready. How about you Triumph?”

“KIIIIIIIIII!” her Stand caws as it appears, the non-Stand users besides Meloka and Broly looking confused. So you decide to address this immediately.
“The reason I wanted you on this mission as well Cenoria is they're more than likely going to have several other Stand users in their ranks.” you tell her, then look down at your right hand. “And my Divine Dragon Force still hasn't recovered yet. So dealing with them will be up to you and Caulifla, along with King Cold.”
“Wait. Did you just say King Cold has one of those Stands?” King Vegeta asks, a hint of worry in his tone.
“Yes. While his isn't directly powerful, it should give us all an advantage.” you say, quickly explaining what it did when to the gravity when you fought him a few months ago. “So, he should be able to pin the more troublesome enemies down.”

“Sorry I'm late.” Bardock calls out, dropping from the sky down beside you all. But as you do, you feel your eyes widen in surprise. He's transformed! Crimson fur and long, black hair going down around his shoulders, he's absolutely radiating with power. “Now, let's go beat the shit out of these bastards.”
“We're here as well.” Nappa calls out, he and surprisingly Tunnip both landing down. He's in his Ultra Ascended form already, body absolutely exploding with muscle as Tunnip's Super Saiyan 3 hair and slimmer body stand in stark contrast. “Let's do this.”

“Looks like the crew's all here.” you say, looking over everyone present. Broly lifts up his now-emptied shield and holds it in his left arm, sword still in the shield until he needs it. Caulifla's standing in her silvery metallic armor, spear in one hand and sword of fire in her left. Leyas and Sarada both standing calmly, not yet transformed along with King Vegeta and Cenoria, a stark contrast to Bardock, Nappa, Tunnip and your wife Meloka. This team is packing so much power, not to mention King Cold, Arctus and Cooler too, that you doubt whatever Babidi's planned will be enough to stop you all. This ends today.

But is there anything else? Any last-minute preparations you need to do before heading off?

I'm surprised that, having all this metaknowledge that this IS a trap, anons have sill decided to bring everyone else along. You're all either retarded, or are playing along and picking what Karn would do, not what the players think what's best. Either way, I'm proud.

But before you go chasing down this wizard, there's one more ally you need to reach out to. So, you focus, and with a thought think out to your firstborn son, Chilli.

“Hey kiddo, we have news.” you reach out to him. “If you're free and can get here in the next minute, we're going to kill that bastard Babidi.”
“The wizard who unleashed that giant demon Trigon?” he asks, you sensing his worry. “The one King Cold's been hunting down to prevent that monster, Buu or whatever from being revived?”
“That's the one.” you answer. “You in?”
“Give me thirty seconds.” he replies, ending the mental link. Everyone's looking to you, you holding up a hand.
“We're missing one last member.” you tell them. “Just a few more seconds and he'll be here.”

As soon as you say this, suddenly crystals begin forming on the ground beside you. Everyone watches in surprise as it rapidly expands, growing up into a statue of your son. Then after about ten seconds it forms a perfect likeness of him, the statue shatters to reveal your son standing before you all.

“Sorry that took so long.” he replies, you seeing the giant azure, dragon bone sword resting on his shoulder as his other sword is strapped to his back, staff in his left hand. But that's not all that's in his left, you seeing him holding an armful of dragon bones. Each one is wrapped in leather around the grips, your son smirking as you see this. “The one I made you was such a success, I knew I had to make more. Didn't think they'd get used so early though.”
“What're those little things?” Sarada asks, looking them over curiously with her brother Leyas. “Feelin' nostalgic for the village life?”
“If anyone attacks you with magic, simply channel your ki into these bones and swing them at the spell.” your son tells her, setting the dozen bone knives on the ground before turning to you. “We have time to show them Dad?”

“I think we do.” you say, drawing the one from your boot with your left hand, holding it in a reverse grip. He smirks, drawing his staff overhead and immediately dropping it down while calling out his spell. You swing the bone knife directly into the blade of shadows, the blade flashing brignt for a moment as it completely erases the spell. Everyone shouts out in surprise as you simply END the attack, then after a second of looking at each other everyone takes one and sticks them into their armor somewhere. Bardock copies you, except he simply stabs it into his boot and not into a custom sheath. “Now, everyone ready?”

>>5421647
“Ready!” comes the reply, you raising your right hand to your forehead. Everyone moves to you, touching you or touching onto someone who's touching you to make sure they're all brought along as you reach out to Arctus telepathically.
“We're all ready to go.” you think to him, connecting to Freeza's cousin. “Are you all ready?”
“We are more than ready, General Karn.” King Cold replies, his mind joining both of yours. “Nephew, are you ready?”
“Leaving the Isaribi now.” he replies, then after a couple more seconds continues 'speaking'. “Entering Planet Hoven's atmosphere now. Touching down on the planet in three, two.... NOW!”

As he sends you the message you focus on his ki, and with your full focus teleport. Your Instant Transmission sends you directly to Arctus's side, you bringing your family and friends all to the planet. One instant you are all on New Salda, and the next everything changes. You find yourselves in a massive, still-smoking crater next to Arctus as he rises up to his feet. Then beside you all King Cold also appears, his right hand resting on his oldest son Cooler's shoulder while Under Pressure looms eerily over him. King Cold is in his fourth form, Cooler in his fifth as they show up ready for war.

“Time to end this bastard, once and for all.” King Cold declares. Your wife immediately activates her Aura Shell, golden aura blazing up and out into a dome several dozen yards across to sense if anything approaches as you focus your ki sense. You can sense hundreds of surprisingly powerful creatures, but they seem somewhat spaced out and not any sort of attack force. Further away, towards the mountain peaks you can see from the inside of the crater you sense a cluster of a couple hundred weaker powerlevels moving about, along with several many times greater. Some even approaching Chilli's transformed strength, which is worrying.

“Their fortress is inside the mountains ahead.” Arctus tells you all, everyone turning towards them as you all prepare to move. But how will you do this?

How will you all proceed?

"King Cold, allow us to handle the frontal assault." you say, drawing the emperor's father's gaze. "We'll make a lot of noise, allowing you to take Chilli and Cooler deeper below with Instant Transmission and hunt that bastard down. My boy's the best wizard I know and can probably handle any of Babidi's tricks. If we don't get that bastard, then this is all for nothing."
"Excellent thinking, General." King Cold says after a few seconds' thought. "I concur. General Karn, King Vegeta, I'll leave the assault to you. Son, Chilli, you are both with me. Once King Vegeta gives us the signal, Cooler, you will take us down below. Understood?"

"Of course, father." Cooler replies with a bow, you and King Vegeta sharing a nod.
“Everyone, power up. We're going in loud.” King Vegeta declares, then in a golden flash powers up into his Primal form. You immediately take your Ascended Berserker form as well, everyone else powering up into their strongest forms as you and the king launch yourselves up and out of the crater targeting the giant frozen mountains. Which gives you the first good look at this Planet Hoven, a snow-covered, empty plain until the mountains rise up out of the ground. As the two of you lead the charge, first to catch up is Arctus in his fifth form.

“Leave it to you to come up with such a plan.” he says, the three of you leading the swarm of Saiyans. But as you get closer to the mountain, suddenly dozens of energy beams are fired down at you all, mostly from the peak. “Evasive maneuvers!”
“No, I got this! BARRIER!” you roar, energy exploding out from you in a giant emerald sphere. Your energy shield protects you all from the incoming blasts, the energy looking quite familiar. “Tch. Covenant weapons.”
“Everyone, stay together!” King Vegeta orders, then immediately flies up and out of your shield. He gathers his golden energy, then with a roar fires a massive energy orb towards the mountain with a roar of “Big Bang Attack!”

His blast blitzes towards the rise, striking and detonating the entire mountain peak! His attack destroys it, sending chunks of rock flying in all directions. The blasts stop, you dropping your shield after a couple seconds and Vegeta flies back down beside you and Arctus. No more attacks fire upon you all as you approach the devastated mountain peak, you flying down first and landing in what appears to be some sort of build interior remains. Looks like their base is here after all. But immediately your instincts scream at you that you're in danger, so without hesitation you focus your full power into your Unmovable Energy Body. A split-second later you feel something striking your back in two points, but your energy keeps the Covenant Energy Blade from piercing into you.

“Wh-What?” an unfamiliar voice asks, shocked that it's attack didn't work. “How-?”
“BASTARD!!” Meloka roars, you sensing her drop down as you lower the power invested in your Energy Body. Turning just in time to see your wife flatten the mecha Sangheili beneath her twinned morning stars, crushing it like an empty can. But as she lands, you see a shimmer in the air behind her. So, without hesitation you point out towards it with your left hand's first finger, firing off a Death Beam over her shoulder. You feel your beam strike something, piercing through it for several seconds before ending your attack. As you do so the invisible Sangheili becomes visible, a massive hole in its neck as its body drops to the ground. “Thanks hun.”

“You too.” you tell her, everyone else landing around by you all.
“Tch. Splitjaw bastards.” Leyas says as Sarada snarls. “Let's destroy these assholes once and for all.”
“Agreed.” Nappa says, suddenly swinging an absolutely massive right fist backwards. Smashing something invisible back against the remains of a wall, another invisible splitjaw appearing but this one doesn't have a head. “I don't want to see any more of these things after today.”

“Then let's stop standing around chatting, and get to destroying these things.” King Vegeta says, raising a hand towards the nearby door and fires a weak beam of energy. It blasts the heavy door off of its track, crashing down into the room beyond with a heavy thud. The moment it lands, a swarm of those damned pink crystals all shoot out of the ground directly at him.

“VELVET GREEN!” Cenoria shouts, her Stand's large body appearing between her husband and the attacks. The crystals strike Velvet Green's body instead of the king's, seemingly shattering against the air to those who can't perceive the truth.
“Thank you.” he tells her as Leyas and Sarada rush the opening. But as they do, you watch in horror as they're suddenly frozen solid! A wave of freezing air blasts out of the doorway, you watching frost form on Cenoria's Stand as a dreadful realization dawns.
“Everyone back up! NOW!” you shout as ice begins spreading across the ground, having encountered the first of who knows how many Stand users. You can't sense anyone directly beyond the shadowed doorway, so it is no doubt one of their cyborgs.

Well? How do you fight this?
>Have Caulifla's Triumph thaw them out and flood the room beyond with fire, cook the bastard alive
>Rush forward yourself into the cold past Leyas and Sarada, and fire a Scattershot into the room beyond, your Energy Body will keep you from freezing. Hopefully
>Have Cenoria's Stand grab the two frozen Saiyans and pull them back, then let everyone fire into the room beyond
>Smash your way down into the room below, then using Leyas and Sarada's ki as markers fire a wide Energy Wave up into the room the Stand user's hiding in

"Cauli, you're up kiddo." you say, turning to your daughter. Who nods, stepping forward as her phoenix-like Stand Triumph materials behind her. "Thaw them out and cook those bastards."
"Leave it to me!" she says confidently, stepping forward as flames begin leaking from its mouth. Go Triumph!”
“KIIIIIIIIIII!!” it bellows, dousing both Sarada and Tatsu in its flames. Her onslaught covers both of them in fire as it also pours into the room beyond. You watch as the metal doorway begins glowing brighter and brighter red as Caulifla heats it up. Her flames quickly overpower the ice, rapidly thawing both of the demonic Saiyans.

“HAAAA!!” they both shout simultaneously, their auras shattering the remaining ice shrouding both of them. Immediately both of them leap away, jumping out of the flames and letting Caulifla keep working. You all watch as she keeps pouring fire into the room beyond, then a cherry red machine Sangheili charges forward with a strange bird-like being perched on its shoulder.
“I won't let you kill-!” it shouts, trying to charge through the flames. But before it's even closed half the distance between itself and Caulifla, a couple dozen of Meloka's Ki Needles suddenly fire out past Triumph and impale the mechanical Sangheili. “Wait, wha-?”

Her needles all then explode, ripping the mechanized terror to shreds in a fiery blast.

“Thanks Momma!” Caulifla says with a wide grin, your wife smiling back and patting her on the head. Which looks slightly comedic, you realizing your daughter's now as tall as her mother.
“Let's keep going.” you say, Energy Body active as you step through the glowing doorway. The ambient red of heated metal plus your personal protection's glow illuminate the room beyond, revealing it to be a staircase heading down deeper into the mountain. But you get the feeling that something's watching you from down deeper, beyond your sight. Whatever it is isn't friendly, but you doubt anyone allied with the Remnants and that bastard Babidi would be.

How do you proceed?

I do like this idea, but the problem is that most dangerous individuals in this base are probably able to hide their ki signatures quite well, to the point that we won't pick them up so easily from a distance.

>>

The issue with it is that it takes a bit of time to scan with ki senses, then fire off Death Beams one by one. The objective of the saiyan team here is to go in hard, fast and loud, creating a distraction for Cooler and Cold. If we pussy-foot around at the doorway, spending a couple of minutes just sniping minions one by one (without taking out anyone actually significant), then we fail in that objective.

For a moment you consider continuing down the staircase, but then stop in place.

"Karn? Is everything okay?" Arctus asks, you not looking back but slowly backing up and out of the stairwell. No one moves into your way, allowing you to back out before you turn to face everyone.
"I just had an idea." you say, smirk coming to your face. “Why should we fight how THEY want us to?”

A chorus of “Huh?” and “What do you mean?” answer your question, but looking to Nappa and Leyas, they understand. All three of you gather in the seeming center of the room, drawing your right fists up.

“We'll go our OWN WAY!” the three of your shout, slamming your fists into the floor together. The tremendous force of your punches shatters the floor in a wide hole, the three of your dropping down into the room below. As you fall, you see around two score or more of the Lin Kuei metal men all aiming what seem to be Covenant weaponry at the stairwell, you seeing it curve out and up to the right from the room below. No doubt meeting up with the stairwell you'd peered down earlier beyond where you can see. But the metal soldiers are caught by complete surprise, you stomping down to the ground and nearly crushing a half-dozen of them on impact. Meanwhile Nappa full-on belly flops, crushing more than a dozen beneath his massive frame and Leyas drops fists-first onto several more.

“What the hell?!”
“Son of a-!”
“Shit! SHIT!!”
“Aww maaaan.”

The cyber Lin Kuei all try turning their weapons on the three of you, but as they do, the rest of your allies drop down through the hole and start attacking them as well.

“HAAA!” Arctus shouts, firing a Death Slash through several of them, cutting them in half while Meloka fires off another couple dozen Ki Needles through several more. Sarada gathers her ki into both fists and simply dives down the same way Leyas did and blasts five or six into pieces. Caulifla fires a bolt of lightning from her spear directly at a cluster, striking one directly as the strays arc and strike others. Chilli fires a Death Slash-like wave from his sword you'd given him, the blue-green energy slicing through four then cutting deep into the floor before it vanishes. King Vegeta brings up the rear with Queen Cenoria, both firing off a few blasts to cut down the last ones standing before they all land on the ground by the three of you.

“An excellent strategy.” Arctus says to you with a bit of a grin. “Simple, but effective. Let's keep moving and push as deep as we can!”
“Right!” Broly shouts, lifting his body-sized stone shield overhead before swinging it down with a roar. “GRRAAAAA!!!”

Your son shatters the floor beneath him, diving shield-first through the floor as he takes the initiative. Immediately you turn, following him down into the newly-made hole to back him up. As you go down, you see a few shimmers in the air which can only mean one thing. But your son also sees them coming, drawing his sword and channeling his ki into it to create his own personal blizzard. The swirling storm freezes the air around the dozen or so approaching Sangheili, revealing them for your son to go on the attack. His storm ends as he then swings the sword, cutting down the closest of them with a downward strike then twisting into a horizontal slash through two more.

“HRRAAA!!” you roar, closing the distance and grabbing two of them going for your son's back by their heads. They both swing at you with their swords, Energy Blades glancing off of your Energy Body before you crush both of their heads together. Oil and other unidentified fluids spray out from between your hands, you then dropping the bodies as you feel another two hits striking you in the back. One lands high across your right shoulder as another hits just above your left hip. Without looking you then spin clockwise, right forearm slamming into something. But as you keep spinning you see the other one, driving your left fist straight through its chest. The one you'd made holy tries swinging its sword again, blade glancing harmlessly off the side of your head.

“Wh-What?!” it exclaims, you reaching forward with your right hand on its right side then tear the machine clean in two. As its pieces fall, you look around and see what everyone else is doing. Meloka smashes two separate ones' heads to pieces with her energy-infused morning stars, Nappa holding one over his head and bringing it down, his head driving straight through it and splitting that machine in half. This floor's defenders all fall to your combined assault just as easily the last, you all landing on the floor littered with machine parts together.

“Heh. This is too easy.” Nappa says, and as soon as he does your instincts shout out at you in warning.
“SHADOW WALTZ!” you hear someone shout, somewhere from your left. But before you can move, suddenly you're frozen in place! Your eyes widen in surprise, every one of your allies are also seemingly frozen! Then you realize something else, everyone's shadows have transformed, turning into monstrous beings whose hands have grasped their bodies in their evil grips!

“The hell?” you mutter through clenched teeth, unable to move despite your prodigious power. You hear several similar complaints from everyone else, then you notice a soft chuckling.

“Heh heh heeh. You thought yourselves sooooo strong.” a dimunitive figure says, walking around into your field of view. You recognize one of the Covenant's fodder races, the little being only coming up to Meloka's waist. “But now you're all helpless before me! I'll teach you all the consequences of defying the great-!”

“Dark Magic: Shadow Step.” your oldest-born son says, you see him then somehow disappear into his own shadow. Which remains bound around the space he was standing in, while he steps up and out of the little creature's own. Who's too distracted by seeing Chilli disappear to notice your son behind him, your son decapitating him with a disdainful backhanded sword slash. The being's head falls to the ground, Chilli stomping it to scrap as suddenly all of your shadows return to normal. Chilli's floating shadow, however, seemingly walks over across the ground to him, reuniting with his feet before going back to mirroring him. Which is when you notice something else unusual that you hadn't before, that sword doesn't cast a shadow. “Everybody okay?”

You all make sure that you are fine before readying to plunge yourselves deeper into the fortress. But before you do, you ponder your strategy for a moment.

How do you proceed?

For a moment you ponder changing the strategy, but you decide against it. After all, why fix what isn't broken? If you all keep fighting as a unit, pushing deeper and deeper, you'll keep anyone from noticing King Cold, Cooler, and...Wait. Why is Chilli here? He was supposed to be with King Cold, how did he get here? You look over to him, your son meeting your gaze and immediately thinks to you.

“King Cold sent me after you all.” he replies to your question before you can even ask it. “He said that he and Cooler could take him themselves, and for me to back you up. Looks like he was right.”
“Can't argue that.” you answer, ending the mental link then addressing everyone aloud. “Everyone ready to keep going?”
“Ready.” comes the unanimous answer, you, Nappa, and Leyas all drawing your right fists up then as one swinging down, again shattering the floor. The three of you drop down into the floor below, several of the Sangheili below immediately drawing their blades and leaping up towards you all.

“Kill 'em all!” Leyas bellows, demonic energy sparking around him as he swings a ki-clad right fist. His punch swings through two of them, shattering one's head and punching through the second's left shoulder down through its torso, splitting it in half. Meanwhile Nappa simply charges chest-first, golden energy sheathing him in his own Energy Body as several immediately try to stab him. But their attacks skate off of him harmlessly, Nappa swinging both arms forward and trapping all the machines in a massive crushing bear hug.

Meanwhile another three are attacking you, their blades again skating harmlessly off of your sheathing energy. You try and fire off your Eye Beams to easily dispatch them, however you didn't put enough behind the attack. So, instead of cutting beams your eyes simply release a blinding flash of light, disorienting both you and the trio trying to attack you. Unluckily for them you recover far quicker, ending the failed attack and quickly dispatching them with your fists before they can regain their sight. The three of you then crash to the ground simultaneously, Nappa releasing his compacted mass of metal bodies to the ground as you see the rest have already been taken care of.

“No Stand user this time.” your daughter says, Queen Cenoria sighing out in relief.
“Thank goodness.” your student-turned-queen says, Vegeta reaching over and grabbing her hand. He whispers something to her, to which she nods seriously.
“Let's keep going.” Arctus says, lowering his hand at the floor. “Everyone hover, I'll show you how it's done.”

You all share confused looks for a moment, you the first to lift up and off of the ground. Everyone else does the same, Arctus focusing and pointing both palms down at the floor. You hear a shearing, groaning noise from the metal, when suddenly the entire floor suddenly drops! The entire thing falls, you hearing several dozen muffled shouts before the floor crashes down atop those trapped below. You hear metal groaning in protest as it is crushed, compacted down as Arctus uses the floor like a giant hammer to smash them all flat.

“Now that's more like it.” he replies with a smirk, looking up towards you. But then his eyes widen, you seeing sudden worry in his expression. Which makes you even more so when he then shouts, “BLUE HAWAII!”
“Happy Hour!” the mechanical dog-looking being suddenly shouts, throwing both hands forward and firing off a liquid-seeming orb directly at you. So you don't move, remaining still until the last second and twisting aside with the movements of the Su Ma. You narrowly avoid grazing the orb, watching it fly past then strike what seems to be some sort of black, bird-like thing with an abnormally long neck. Arctus's Blue Hawaii's attack strikes true, the orb exploding out into a liquid wall expanding out in all directions from the point of impact. It strikes you as well, and at first you don't feel anything. But then it hits you: you're drunk.

Not just any drunk either, you can't even maintain your flying with how disoriented you are. The entire world is swimming around you, a second later you feel something crash against your knees. Focusing, you see that you're on your hands and knees, Arctus standing before you.

“Looks like none of you here could out-drink me.” he says, sounding a bit disappointed as he walks past you. Through the haze you follow his steps, watching as his dog-looking Stand grabs the shadowy bird by its long neck, then snaps it with an audible crack. The noise comes in stereo, you looking over towards the stairwell to your side as you hear the noise come from down there. Alright Blue Hawaii, time to sober everyone back up.”
“LAST CALL!” his Stand bellows, and as he does you feel the inebriated sensation leaving you. Watching with confusion, you see the same blue liquid-seeming substance flowing out from your body towards his Stand. But not just you, it seems everyone got caught in that attack. The streams of blue liquid flow into his Stand, its metal-looking upper body growing more and more muscular and well-defined by the second. What the hell is Arctus's Stand?

“Now, Blue Hawaii! Let's go!” Arctus shouts, his Stand firing off a single punch down into the floor. The heavy blow smashes a hole as wide across as Nappa through both levels of floor, Freeza's cousin and his Stand leaping down into the hole together as you push yourself back up to your feet.
“What the hell?” you mutter, shaking off the lingering effects as you hear the sounds of Arctus and his Blue Hawaii battling below, everyone slowly getting back up to their feet as well.

“That was....Different.” Caulifla says, your daughter looking disturbed by what happened. “His Stand is unlike any I've seen before, it's so strong.”
“It's certainly something.” you say, everyone finally shrugging off the last of that Stand's effects. “Everyone okay?”

You get everyone saying they're fine to continue, you all following after Freeza's cousin. Who, you all see is using a blade of pure azure energy to cut through some sort of energy shield and the heavy blast doors beyond.

“Gotta be something good behind here, for there to be this much security.” he says, not looking back as his Stand watches you all. “We should check it out before heading deeper.”

"Alright everyone, let's protect him until he's through." you say, everyone taking different positions around the now-empty empty room. All entrances are covered by at least two people, you standing by Arctus at the ready for whatever sort of monster, Stand, or mechanical terror awaits you beyond the door. Arctus's saber makes quick work of the door and energy both, cutting down and through it until he passes through the lock in the center of the door. Once through there's a zapping noise, the shield falling away as the door begins sliding open. But as they do, you and Arctus are attacked!

“What the-?” he exclaims, you watching in shock as a grey humanoid form sprints at you directly THROUGH Arctus! You only have a moment to react, but instead of dodging you lunge forward fists-first to try and stop whatever it is. Your fist passes effortlessly through the grey being's head, it sprinting straight through you as well. An icy sensation envelops you, your entire body going numb as you feel your strength crater. Your energy levels collapse, Energy Body shattering around you as you fall to your hands and knees. While dropping you see Arctus has dropped as well, his saber deactivating as it rolls from his limp hands. You try and lift your arms but simply can't, hell you can't even keep your head held high. Looking down at your body, you've lost all of your color. Even your armor and clothes are grayed out as well, if it wasn't for the burn marks on the door remaining fully colored you'd think you had gone colorblind.

Several people are shouting from behind you, but you lack the strength to even so much as look back towards them. You can't even move a finger, all of your strength was just drained away by that grey being.

“Well, well, well. I never expected to catch the 'great' General Karn with my Touch of Grey.” someone says with a surprisingly calm tone, a left hand reaching down and grabbing you by the chin. It tilts your head back, you see a mecha Sangheili's face looking down at you as with its other hand the warrior draws its Energy Blade. “This is for my family, you murderous bastard. Die.”

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

They had found him! Babidi's location had been revealed, Arctus informing Karn to gather everyone ready to attack the Remnants and the wizard Babidi. Karn quickly gathered his allies, everyone armed and ready for war. Arriving on the planet, Karn and King Vegeta led a full-frontal assault, drawing the eyes of the defenders to allow King Cold to sneak below with Cooler's Instant Transmission. Fighting their way through cyber Lin Kuei, cyber Sangheili and several Stand wielders, they finally came to an energy-sealed door. Arctus uses his lightsaber to cut through both then energy and the metal door behind it, then once it opens a grey humanoid being rushes out. It runs through Arctus then Karn, draining his strength. The user followed his Stand out, and as we rejoin Karn the Sangheili grabs you by the jaw and draws his Energy Blade.

“This is for my family, you murderous bastard. Die.” he says, swinging the blade down at your unprotected neck. But as the sword closes in, suddenly you hear a welcome roar.
“GRRROOOOAAAAAAR!!” Divine Dragon Force bellows, exploding out from your right arm and biting down on the Stand user's sword.
“Wh-What?” he shouts, immediately trying to pull his weapon from your powerful Stand's jaws. “You and your Stand should both be incapacitated, what is this?”
“RRRAAAAA!!” your Stand snarls, letting go just as the Sangheili pulls back harder, the user tripping and falling backwards. Your Stand lunges after him, but is just out of range. So it turns back to you, trying to get you moving.

“Don't just sit there, now's your chance!” Divine Dragon Force tells you. “Get up, hurry! We can kill him now, before he drains everyone's strength!”
“Touch of Grey, come back!” the Sangheili shouts, scrambling and trying to get back to his feet. “HURRY!”
“Now Karn! RISE!!” your Stand shouts, a note of worry in its voice as it sees behind you. No doubt that Stand is rushing back as fast as it charged you, if it hits you now that your Stand has reawakened you're done for.

What do you do?
>Use everything you've got to lunge forward, get Divine Dragon Force into range no matter what
>Focus the energy you have left into your eyes, fire off your Eye Beams directly into his to kill him

Don't the Saiyans in the ritual need to be pure of heart?
>>
>>5422617
nah, that's dumb
>>
>>5422617
The "Pure of Heart" is a reference to the Super Saiyan transformation itself, typical prophecy mumbo jumbo misunderstood over thousands of years of word of mouth. It most likely reaches back to the "Golden Haired Warrior = Force of Good, Green Haired Warrior = Force of Evil" mentality of the Ancient Saiyans.

It means you can't use a Berserker, Demon Saiyan, or any other abnormal type of Super Saiyan

You can't move yourself, his Stand having stolen your physical power. But that doesn't mean you're defenseless! You'll get your Stand into range, by bringing him INTO Divine Dragon Force's effective area.

“Go.” you manage to say, eyes focusing exclusively on the mecha Sangheili before you. Your strength may be gone, but you have other techniques not reliant on might. You focus your full mind on the splitjaw in front of you, and grasp it with your telekinesis. You probably don't have the strength to grab its entire body, so you focus your grip on its ankle and pull. Something torques in your mind, vision going fuzzy as you almost lose consciousness.

But you hold on, using everything you've got pull the metal being closer to you. Who's eyes widen in shock, seeing himself being dragged towards you begins to panic.

“S-Stay away from me!” he shouts, drawing one of the smaller energy pistols and leveling it at your head. But as he does, he enters Divine Dragon Force's range.
“GRROOOAAAAAR!” your Stand bellows, lunging forward and sinking its teeth into the Sangeili's foot. Divine Dragon Force doesn't hesitate, immediately activating its ability and the warrior before you begins disintegrating. His body begins dissolving into nothing from his leg up, the man fixing you with a determined glare. You recognize that look, he's aiming to take you out with him!

“I won't die alone!” he shouts, kicking off the ground with his one remaining leg and aiming his sword for your head as he falls apart into nothingness. But his body falls apart just before he can reach you, the sword deactivating the instant before it would have hit you and clatters to the ground. It and the pistol the only evidence the man had lived at all. As the now-ownerless weapons clatter to the ground, you feel all of your strength suddenly return!
“HAAA!!” you shout, Ascending back into your strongest Berserker form and surging back up to your feet. Arctus transforms back up into his fifth form at the same time, the two of you turning to see how everyone else is doing. Leyas and Sarada's strength is rapidly climbing back up to their usual levels, the two transforming back once more as well. King Vegeta, Cenoria, Caulifla, Chilli and Broly are all in the air looking down at you all, seeing you all getting back up begin dropping back down to the ground.

“Daddy! You all right?” Caulifla asks, rushing over to you.
“I'm fine kiddo. That Stand just stole my strength.” you tell her, ruffling your worried daughter's hair. Now that he's done for, I've got my power back.”
“What an insidious trap.” Arctus says, a note of respect in his voice as he takes the Energy Sword and activates in with his left hand. “Now, let's see what he was protecting.”

You all turn back to the door, which is still only open a crack, and with a bit of focus Arctus uses his telekinesis to throw the doors wide open. Revealing a massive room of what seems to be an assembly line. Hundreds of partially-assembled Lin Kuei metal men are hanging from the ceiling in paths, the closer they get towards the room's exit on the left the more complete they are. Now you see how they make their soldiers.

“Let's destroy this and move on.” Nappa says, golden energy crackling around his right fist as he draws it back.
“Hold on, hold on. Not yet.” Arctus says, grabbing his much-larger arms with his left. “I want to take their tech for us, once this is over. So leave the assembly lines and production alone.”
“You sure about this?” King Vegeta asks, his brows narrowed a bit. “This could be a trap.”
“No one traps their own production. I would know.” Arctus tells him. “Can't risk a misfire and destroying your own stock over nothing.”

“Then we should keep moving.” you say, readying yourself to keep going deeper. But then you hesitate, realizing that the production floor here is far larger than you thought. You can't actually see the end of the room you're in, and don't exactly know which way to go.

So, how do you proceed?

"We've got a long way to go yet." you say after a moment, feeling for King Cold and Cooler's ki far, far deeper into the planet. If the floors are all roughly the same height as the ones you've been going through, there are easily hundreds more to clear to get down to his level. So, you draw both fists up and slam them both down into the ground with a shout of "Follow me!"

The ground shatters beneath your mighty fists, you dropping down into the floor below. Only to be opened fire upon by dozens of Sangheili energy weapons. As they all start shooting you reactivate your Energy Body, allowing your ki to shield you from the incoming projectiles. Many attacks strike your armor, several others missing you completely as you crash to the ground surrounded. The cyber Lin Kuei all start drawing icy weapons, ready to close in and attack you. But they never get the chance.

“DIE!” Meloka roars, firing a pair of Death Slashes down. Her energy scythes through more than a dozen bodies, splitting them into pieces as Chilli fires down a pair of Dark and Light cutting magic blades. His attacks split several more, their metal bodies unable to stop the magical blades. Before you even get one of them, the rest of your allies have already destroyed them all.
“My turn!” Nappa calls out once the floor's cleared, raising both hands and smashing the ground beneath him. You all drop down after him, quickly clearing another floor. Floor after floor you all purge quickly, within a minute your team have cleared a dozen more floors down. But as Leyas and Sarada smash their way down into the next one, the ground explodes UP around them instead!

“What?” they both shout in surprise as they're blasted up into the air, smashing up into the remains of the ceiling as you look to the reverse-smashed hole. You watch as an orb of blackness rises up from it, followed by another of the cyber Sangheili's bodies. But from the reactions you hear, almost no one can see the orb above him.
“Bastard!” Nappa bellows, firing his Bomber DX beam from his left hand directly at the Sangheili. Yet as the wave hits him, instead of obliterating the smaller creature, NAPPA is the one sent flying back! “Wh-Whaaaat?!”

What in the world is this Stand?

I forget, do we have any Sith mind tricks of a high caliber? I remember that we can feed on others' fear, but could we break his mind by pumping his brain with pure hate and anger via with the force?

No. And you could only feed on fear with Bane’s direct assistance, you haven’t trained to do so on your own.
>>

Goddamn reflector faggots. If this weren't Jojo I'd say make like a shounen protagonist and punch harder.

Seems like whatever happens to the stand user, its reflected back at the attacker, or atleast turned into the opposite. No obvious weakness aside from the Menacing Orb of Doom, but I'm not sure if attacking it would work. And punching yourself in the face sounds incredibly foolish and likely to do nothing. Do we have any means of launching a non-corporeal attack? Asides from dragon force that is, that sounds like it would backfire BADLY.
>>
>>5422729
>Grab him in a bear hug and form a barrier around you two that will cut off air circulation.
As Karn is physically much bigger than whomever this is, he'll wait him out until he chokes and then drop the barrier.

Alright so it's clearly capable of reflecting the effects of conventional attacks...
GD, what non-physical spells has Karn seen Chilli use?
>>
>>5422743
I'm not feeling like we should risk using DDF like that, lest we get our own stand reversed on us and...yeah.

>>
>>5422773
And thats exactly why I'm saying hell to the fucking no with that. To remind people, Divine DragonForce's attack TURNS THE VICTIMS ESSENCE AGAINST THEMSELVES, ENTIRELY DESTROYING THEM FROM EXISTENCE. Its the weapon in Karn's kit that makes an immortal past tense and made the GODDESS OF TIME ITS BITCH, who literally couldn't rewind time to save her life. If that stand manages to turn that kind of attack against us, we aren't coming back from that PERIOD. Once its got you, you're fucking GONE.

>>
I wonder what would happen if we tried to pull him toward us with telekinesis. Would it pull us toward him? Would the ensuing body slam be his fault or ours? Would it be reflected?

More pressing question is how the fuck are there so many covie stands still around? How many could Truth have possibly made with that fucking knife, Jesus. What a pain in the ass.

“Meloka, try some of your Energy Mines. But don't explode them right away, put them on a delay.” you tell her, your wife nod then without hesitation fires a Scattershot towards the Sangheili with a “HAAA!” Who makes no moves to defend himself, confident in his Stand's absolute ability. The orbs all close in, stopping themselves just short of his body if they would have hit him. The rest form a rough spherical shape around him, fully entrapping the splitjaw. “Hold him there, don't let him escape.”
“Simpletons.” he says, reaching up and placing his right hand on the contact explosive. Which begins glowing brighter, signaling that it is about to burst. “Your foolish minds cannot comprehend how outmatched you-”

KABOOOOM

“NOW!” you think to yourself, immediately getting between the Stand user and your wife as if you can intercept the attack. But it doesn't work, Meloka wincing as the blast goes off. You look over your shoulder, seeing her right arm covered in light scorching from her attack's detonation. You can't intercept the attacks after all, looks like the Stand doesn't reflect damage by line-of-sight. “Dammit. How do we beat this thing?”
“And another.” he says, reaching for another. But as he does your wife takes control of the blasts, drawing them all up into the air away from him. The Stand user's hand narrowly misses grazing the orb, following them with his eyes. “Oh?”

“Mel, I have an idea.” you think to her, quickly outlining your plan. Having an attack that explodes, but the damage isn't sent through immediately and giving you time to teleport him hopefully out of range. She ponders it a moment and says she can try it. With a snap of her fingers she draws the mines back to her, drawing that energy back into herself.
“Any more 'clever' ideas?” the splitjaw taunts smugly.
“Just one.” you reply, stepping forward towards him. He turns his focus onto you, still looking supremely confident at you walk closer and closer.
“Oh? Going to try your famed devil dragon against me?” he asks, clearly aware of your Divine Dragon Force's power. “Go on, try it. Erase me with your dark power, heretic.”
“Ready.” Meloka thinks to you, letting you know it's ready. “MOVE!”

You immediately leap up, twisting over the being's head as Meloka's orb rapidly closes in on you. He doesn't try to intercept the energy attack, letting it strike him full in the chest. But as you fall down behind him, the energy is seemingly absorbed into his body. Thrusting your left hand out as you raise your right to your forehead, expanding your ki sense to its maximum range. As you do, you feel an all-too-familiar powerlevel rapidly closing in. Perfect.

“Ubo, stop for a second.” you think to your ally, focusing on his ki and teleporting both yourself and the splitjaw to his side.

One instant you're deep into the mountain complex, the next you're in the air next to Ubo's massive frame just outside the planet's atmosphere. You then shove the splitjaw away, which instead forces you back towards your all.

“Hang on!” you call out to Ubo, feeling his hand on your shoulder as you refocus on Meloka's ki signature and teleport back to her. You and Ubo leave space behind, reappearing beside your wife. “Let's see how he likes-”
“KYAAAAAH!” she shouts, suddenly flying backwards towards the wall as her body starts actually smoking.
“TRIUMPH!!” Caulifla calls, her Stand actually catching your wife with its feet. Immediately it sets her down, crying healing tears onto her scorched body. Looks like that insane Stand wasn't actually limited by range after all, you think as Caulifla runs over. “Momma, are you okay?”
“Th-That didn't work.” she says, visibly relaxing as her body is swiftly healed by Caulifla's power. She opens her eyes, seeing both you and Ubo looking concerned down at her along with Cauli. “Nice try hun, it was a good idea. Hey Ubo.”

“What happened?” he asks her, clearly worried. You explain what that Sangheili's Stand was and could do, but then another thought comes to mind: you're responsible for sending it out into space, if it isn't designed to handle space or re-entry, would it damage you instead of it since you were the one who moved it? You worry about this for several seconds, but then it seems that this worry was unfounded. Looks like that was the-
“INCOMING!” Chilli calls, you turn and seeing him pointing up. You follow his gaze, seeing something burning flying straight down towards you all. Wait, is that the metal Sangheili trying to meteor himself down on you all?

What now?
>Don't defend yourself, move directly down beneath the point of impact. If his Stand works like that, perhaps the damage he tries inflicting is ALSO reflected back on him?
>Work with Arctus, between the two of you your telekinesis should be able to stop him before he can land

You think for a moment on how to stop this thing, looking around at all of your allies while trying to come up with a plan. But only one answer presents itself to you.

"Ubo, good thing you arrived when you did." you say, looking from him back up to the rapidly descending flaming metal hunk. "Think you can take him to the nearest unoccupied planet and just leave him there?"
"That's easy enough." he answers, then realization dawns. "Oh, I get it. You can't hurt this thing, so you want it out of the fight for good. Should I take it to a nearby star instead?"
"No, it might reflect that damage back to you instead." you answer, shaking your head. "Just leave it somewhere where there's no way back, leave it and hurry back to us."

"Understood." Ubo answers, then without another word launches himself into the sky. By the time you look up after him, they're already little more than a dot in the sky that vanishes after another second. You follow him with your ki senses for another second, Ubo leaving your effective sensing area behind.
“Well, that was easier than expected.” Arctus says, gesturing to the hole. “Who's first?”
“I am!” Sarada snarls, launching herself down with a growl. “Bastards're gonna pay for that!”
“Year!” Leyas shouts with her, the two leading the way deeper into the fortress. The next four levels only have a scarce few machines, your group easily able to dismantle them. But as Nappa smashes another hole open, suddenly you sense another ki appear right behind you! You spin, fist drawn back only to see Cooler already backing away. No doubt remembering what happened when he teleported you to King Cold's place.

“Easy. I just need Arctus.” he says, stepping back beside his cousin and laying a hand on his shoulder. “We found their mainframe, and need him to get in.”
“Then let's go.” Arctus replies, the two vanishing. You can sense their ki appearing beside King Cold's, the trio the only living beings in maybe twenty floors of themselves. But there are still many, many more beings between you all and them, so you have to get back to work.
“Keep pushing forward.” you say, you and Nappa leading the charge down to the next floor. But, as you two drop down the hole, you find yourselves in a much larger room than most of those above. It looks almost like-

“An arena?” Nappa asks aloud as the two of you drop down back-to-back, a moment later crashing down in confusion to the sandy ground. Then suddenly dozens of flood lights activate, you hearing someone shout “FIRE! FIRE NOW!”

Now what?

“ORANGE CRUSH!” someone roars, you hearing the roaring of water come from behind you. Turning, you see what appears to be a wave of orange water seemingly come up out of the ground between you both and two of the weaker ki signatures. But as the wave surges forward you also hear a different voice shout from the same direction.
“Electric Blue! GO!” the smaller voice shouts, an instant later you see bolts of electricity dancing in the rapidly-approaching wave. The enemy Stand users no doubt planning to electrocute the two of you. But, unfortunately for them, these beings aren't machines. You can sense them.

“Hold on.” you tell Nappa, grabbing his forearm with your left as you raise your right hand to your forehead. Then with a moment's thought teleport the both of you behind the Stand users, leaving them both wide open. So you wast no time, driving your right hand forward and through the living Lin Kuei assassin's head. The other sees this from the corner of his eye, turning towards you. Only to see Nappa's giant palm headed towards his face.
“Too slow.” your friend taunts, smashing their head to paste between his massive hands. Both dead assassins' bodies drop lifelessly to the sand, then as the wave disappears you see your friends and allies dropping down as well.

“RED RAIN!” the voice who'd shouted earlier cries out, you seeing a massive, dark red storm cloud suddenly forming overhead. Then the cloud begins to rain down blood-red drops, but Caulifla's got your friends.
“TRIUMPH!” she shouts, her Stand materializing above them all.
“KIIIIIIIIII!” it caws, belching forth a wide blast of flames directly up. Which blasts the drops to nothingness, protecting them all. But that doesn't shield you or Nappa from the attack.
“HAAAA!!” your friend roars, again thrusting his left hand forward and firing off his tremendous blast. It flies forward far faster than the rain can fall, obliterating the Stand user near-instantly. As they die their Stand vanishes, the red droplets vanishing just before they can fall enough to strike either of you. Caulifla ends her Stand's fiery blast, you all meeting down in the center of the arena. “Haha, was that their best? That was too easy.”

“It's not over yet.” you say, your instincts still warning you that something's watching you all. Then in a flash of foresight, you see everyone being sucked down into the sand, disappearing from sight. You blink, vision returning to normal as you look around, then feel it. “MOVE!”

Immediately you leap into the air, but before everyone else can do the same, the sand suddenly surges up! You watch in horror as the sand rises several feet, burying everyone up at least to their waists, Meloka, Chilli, King Vegeta and Caulifla buried up to their necks!

“What the hell?”
“Dammit!”
“No way!”
“Triumph!”
“Wha-?
“V-Velvet Green!”

Everyone shouts in surprise as they're trapped, Caulifla and Cenoria trying to use their Stands to free themselves. Caulifla tries glassing the sand, while Cenoria tries sweeping it off of her with her vines. But the sand's hold is relentless, dragging them all deeper as you see a skull larger than your body begin emerging.

“Lester Sands will grind the flesh from your bones!” the skull seemingly declares, then opens its mouth wide. And starts sucking the sand, and everyone stuck inside it, down into its mouth. “You will all perish! Die, Die! DIE!”

As you spring into action, you begin to wonder: just how many Stand users did Truth make before he passed on?

Between Karn bumbling into Telepathy, its subsequent mass adoption by the Saiyan race, and Goku's canonical mind-reading on Namek, I'm willing to bet Saiyans are just predisposed towards psionics.

>tactical doctrine
>Stands
There’s only two ways to handle them. Survive long enough to figure out their ability and a way to counter it, or attack before they can use it with overwhelming force. But each strategy comes with inherent flaws against certain Stands in certain scenarios.

Take the last fight for example. Had Karn not acted so fast with IT, Lester Sands would have grabbed both of you and held you in place to get crushed/electrocuted by Orange Crush and Electric Blue.
You haven’t really run into any serious magic other than some cryomancy. Yet. Which is rather odd, wouldn’t you say?

Random thought.

The race that the Kais belong to, the Core People or Shin-jins, are fruits. They are literal fruit people that grow on a giant tree. Regular fruit become normal Kais while golden fruit become Supreme Kais. Yet they aren't monogendered like Namekians as seen by the existence of females such as Chronoa, the West Supreme Kai, and Aeos. So they clearly can also reproduce sexually, otherwise having both males and females makes no biological sense. So maybe it's like eggs in that not every fruit has a baby Kai inside of it? We also know they have a connection to the Tree of Might.

What I'm suggesting is would it be possible for us to gain God powers without the SSG ritual by eating a Kai? Fruit is meant to be eaten after all. We already have targets we'd be killing anyway such as Kars and Chronoa.
>>
>>5424400
Kars isn't actually a Kai, nor do we really have any reason to kill him just yet.
We'd probably have more reason to eat Shin.
>>
>>5424441
>Kars isn't actually a Kai
He isn't a Saiyan either yet he still goes supah dupah. He probably did his whole "I looked at your for one whole second, now I can alter my entire genetic makeup to match you on a whim" thing.
>>
>>5424444
After seeing how retarded Shin is, would YOU want to alter your genetic code to match his?
>>
>>5424446
That's my secret anon. I'm already retarded.
>>
>>5424441
Shin or Chronoa then.

My point is, do you think it would work if we ate a Kai?
>>
>>5424400
You’re not Buu, you don’t gain powers via absorption.
>>
>>
>>5424529
Inch resting. This is a pretty broad comparison but I wonder where Beserker lines up in all of this. It's super saiyan, but very different.
>>
>>5424586
I'm not sure Berserker fits nicely into the above spectrum given how it's almost entirely dependent on a genetic mutation.
Sidenote...
>>5424465
Which parent did Karn inherit his Berserker genes from?
>>
>>5424529
I did see the parallels at the time.
>>5424603
Won’t say from how far down the tree it goes, but his mother’s side.
>>
>>5424608
Is it a bullshit magical gene that resurfaces once in 12050 generations, or is it simply recessive and every fourth child our ours have the potential to achieve Berserker, and they only need to get pissed off hard enough at a high enough power level?
>>
>>5425167
None of Karn or potentially Broly’s kids would have it. It isn’t known what exactly causes someone to manifest the form, since it’s so exceptionally rare. You’re more likely to win two back-to-back lotteries than getting this power
>>
>>5425472
>You’re more likely to win two back-to-back lotteries than getting this power
So you're saying there's a chance.
>>
>>5425581
I meant those are the odds just for just one person unlocking the power of Berserker. As for the idea of a whole circle of Berserkers for the ritual, Mechikabura already tried it in one timeline. If the number of Berserkers is One or six, the results are the same.
>>
>>5425613
Who cares about a silly ritual? It's about family.
>>
>>5424465
My logic isn't absorption. It's the fact that the Kais literally come from fruit plus their connection to the Tree of Might. I'm not saying this would work if we tried to eat other kinds of gods, just the Kais.
>>
>>5425653
I was pre-addressing the one asking about the Berserker ritual with that post too.

Fair enough. I guess.

Although now that I think about it there was this random Freeza Force remnant guy in Dragon Ball Online who got a power boost from eating Freeza's centuries-old, rotting dead tail on Namek. I will assume that was a racial ability of his species.
>>
>>5426282
Naw Frieza is a fucking mutant and his physiology is extremely weird.
In particular, his organs, and by extension the cells that constitute them, are extremely robust.
This is demonstrated by anything short of total disintegration failing to kill him, and his subsequent regeneration from a mess of severed limbs.
Hell, he was still conscious and aware of his surroundings when he was brought back as chunks of meat.
Back to the tail, I'd posit that the tissue in the tail melded with the internal tissue of the soldier who ate it as a sort of survival reflex.
This in turn would reasonably alter the soldier's physiology, maybe even down to his genetic code.
You can actually see features from Freiza's second form crop up in that guy too.

Not very, as that hasn’t been practiced at all. Perhaps after a few years of training Energy Body as a passive and not a few months you’ll have far better control.
>>5426282
Yes, unless stated otherwise it’s well established that some beings grow stronger from consuming other beings and adapting their traits. But Saiyans aren’t one of them
>>5426345
>and his subsequent regeneration from a mess of severed limbs
That was stated both in the movie and ahow that it was only possible due to advancements in Healing Pod technology. Regeneration is not a racial trait of Freeza’s race.
>>
>>5426387
That was worded a little poorly. I was more pointing out the fact that we wasn't dead outright after being turned into Frost Demon sushi, not the fact that he was able to regenerate when that was clearly a feat of the healing pod, not his own body.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 183 Intermission-

AGE 750, APPROACHING PLANET YARDRAT

“I still can't sense anyone strong enough to be any real threat.” you say, the small, crystal pyramid in your lap that houses the soul of your teacher humming at a frequency you can't hear but rather feel. The ancient Sith holocron hinting at the secrets you've yet to unlock. “I even meditated on it, but didn't get a face. All I saw was a vision of me killing a few weaklings for a second or two. You don't think he just up and died, do you?”
“While it's always possible, I don't think so.” Darth Bane replies, the phantom Sith Lord appearing before you. “He's simply hiding from outsiders, avoiding Vox's people no doubt. But you know how to handle his people's defiance, should they choose not to help you.”

“Heh, you're damn right.” you say, punching your open left hand. You are Chaya, former and future Champion of Dreadzone, Super Saiyan, and student of the ancient Sith Lord, Darth Bane. For the last few months, the phantom Sith has been your only companion while you've been cooped up in here and unable to physically train. However, that doesn't mean you haven't been working. While the ship has been moving ever closer to Planet Yardrat and your confrontation with the former, still-undefeated champion of Dreadzone, “Soba the Undefeated”, you have been hard at work. With the ancient spirit's guidance, you'd begun learning from him the ancient ways and secrets of the Sith. But training time is over, as you sense the strongest ki signatures on the distant Planet Yardrat getting closer and closer you know that your little ship is about to crash down on their world. And the fun is about to begin.

“Brace yourself.” Bane says, the ship jolting in the same instant. Your hands go reflexively to the holocron, shielding it and holding the fragile-seeming pyramid close. But then everything settles down, you setting it beside your scouter as you press the door button. It begins opening with a pneumatic hiss, you stepping out and into blindingly bright light as the world becomes clear. And the first thing you see peering down upon you are several alien faces, all looking down curiously. You take the remote control for the ship and stuff it into your glove before pressing the lock and seal button, stepping out as the door starts sliding shut.

“Greetings, Planet Yardrat.” you address the beings above, but being looked down upon by such weaklings annoys you. So you float straight up into the air, your feet just over their heads as you continue speaking. “I have come to challenge the one called Soba the Undefeated!”

But at your declaration, they all seem to lose interest in you. Several turning away from you and moving to go about their days. But this won't do. This won't do at all. So you clench your fists, focusing and drawing upon the depths of your golden power with a roar.

“HAAAA!” you shout, aura blazing golden as you transform into a Super Saiyan. Many of those who'd turned their backs and started moving away are knocked down to the ground by the shock wave you create by transforming. Everyone looks to you with shocked expressions on their faces, you smirking down at the weaklings.

“Maybe you all didn't hear me. I said I'm looking for the one called Soba the Undefeated.” you say, picking the single strongest one out of the group as you level your left hand's pointer finger at the standing creature. “Tell me where he is, now.”
“I don-” he starts, you immediately firing a Death Beam straight through his chest. Several of the other Yardratians all gasp out in surprise, the one you'd shot clutches at his chest as he sinks to his knees. He gurgles and gasps for air as his body fails, powerlevel rapidly shrinking as the rest begin radiating with fear. That fear washes over you, and oh boy:

It feels GOOD!

For a moment or two you just drink it in, letting their terror wash over and inundate you just as Darth Bane had taught you to do. The sensation feels far better than anything you've ever felt, the pleasure making you lose track of everything and everyone for a moment or two. But now's not the time for such things, no matter how tempting it is. Despite this new rush, you're here for one reason and one reason only. So you shake your head, trying to clear it a bit and focus back on your goal before addressing them all once more.

“I don't like repeating myself. Where. Is. He?” you demand, pointing at another one. As you do, you sense two distinct powerlevels behind you simply vanish. Which isn't surprising, as you learned that these people are the ones who invented the Instant Transmission skill. You hope they're going to fetch Soba for you, which would save you the trouble of hunting him down. You then see another raising their hand to their forehead, but enough have escaped to bring stronger warriors here. So you turn, immediately firing your beam through that one's elbow. But still feeling the high of their fear rushing through you, you put a bit too much force behind it and sever its arm completely.
>>
>>5426451
The Yardratian cries out in pain, clutching the stump of her arm as another wave of their overwhelming terror washes over you. Their terror is intoxicating, you feeling your power growing by the second as you bathe in their terror. The sensation feels even better than before, the fear turning to pleasure making you lose track of everything other than the sensations you're feeling. Your knees go weak, had you been standing would probably have collapsed. Goosebumps crawl up your back as you shiver, savoring this newfound pleasure.

“Damn. He said it felt good, but I didn't know he meant like THIS.” you think to yourself, watching the terrified worms all lowering their hands away from their heads now that it's clear you know that little trick. Again you shake off the lingering sensations, refocusing your mind as you point back at the newly one armed woman. “Let's try this again: do you know?”
“N-N-No, I-” she starts, but before she can finish you fire again, this time straight through her face. Her body drops lifelessly to the ground as you turn your hand, pointing your left finger at another one.

“What about you?” you ask, the creature turning pale as raw terror blooms on his face. The fear of certain death radiates from the weakling, you drinking it in for several seconds before deciding to kill him. However, before you do, you suddenly sense several strong powerlevels suddenly appear behind you. Lowering your hand you feel your grin widening, letting the gathered ki at your fingertip dissipate. “I hope for your sake that the six of you are my escorts, else your lives are about to get a whole lot shorter.”

“That's enough, outsider.” one says, you turning and seeing the warriors gathered before you. Five of them are the pink-skinned ones, but the one at the front of the group is quite different. It's a very short, green-skinned one without the whisker-like growths and an almost child-like appearance. But as he speaks, you realize that this one is the one who spoke. “Leave our planet, and take your war-like ways with you.”

“So you're not my escort then?” you ask, cracking your knuckles. “Well, before I start killing you all, do any of you know how to find Soba?”

But they don't answer, instead taking a fighting stance with their right hands to their forehead in a ready stance for Instant Transmission.

“Guess that means I don't have to spare any of you then.” you say, your grin growing wider as you take your fighting stance. Time to test out more of what Bane's been teaching you. Focusing your mind, you open your senses to the universe itself, and see a brief window into the future. The vision ends, leaving you smirking at the results: they can't beat you.
>>
>>5426454
“Subdue her.” the short one says, the other five vanishing instantly. Just as you foresaw.

“HAAAAAA!!” you shout, firing off an Explosive Wave just as you had in the premonition, your energy shredding the five attackers as well as most of the remaining civilians you'd held hostage. But they're no loss, had any of them actually known where Soba was they would have told you to spare their lives. You then end the attack, looking at the results and are slightly surprised to see that one of the five lived. He's lying in a smoking heap in the bottom of the newly-made crater next to the other one holding your ship. He may have lived, but with injuries like that there's no way he'll live. However, you still raise a hand towards him, gathering ki into your fingertip. Just in case he has anything left to try something. “Oh, looks like I missed one.”

“You monster.” you hear the little one say, and turning your focus see the creature glaring at you with eyes filled with genuine anger. “I will not let you hurt anyone else.”
“No one else has to get hurt.” you say to him, purposefully ignoring the two remaining civilians rushing towards the downed warrior. “Just take me to Soba, and I'll leave the rest of your people alone. You do know where he is, don't you?”

At your question the man's face hardens, confirming your suspicions: this one knows. Unlike the taller, weaker beings, these different ones are of a different class, a higher tier of beings on this planet. Like what you'd heard about Saiyans and Tuffles, before the war and being used as laborers for the smaller creatures.

“Then take me to him, and no one else has to die.” you push, trying to persuade him over beating him to within an inch of his life. You may be skilled at inflicting survivable damage thanks to your time in Dreadzone, but there's such a difference in strength you might accidentally kill him. And without knowing how many others know, you can't risk killing him yet. “Once I've beaten him down and taken the belt, I can go on my way and leave your worthless backwater behind for good. So, stop wasting my time and your peoples' lives and take me to him.”
“I will not let an evil, heartless bitch anywhere close to Soba.” the shorter being declares, pressing his palms together. “If you want to get to him, you'll have to get through me first!”

Dammit. This one knows! You can't risk hurting him, if he's unable to take you to Soba then you'll waste more time on these weaklings instead of fighting who you came here for. So, you decide to try out another trick Darth Bane had taught, once more opening yourself to the flow of the universe as you begin speaking again.

“You will take me to see Soba.” you say softly, gently waving your hand from left to right as you try the technique known as Force Persuasion. Connecting to the flow of energy in the universe, you tap into it while reaching out to the Yardratian's mind in an attempt to coerce its cooperation.

“The mind trick is a simple gimmick, but one that could prove quite useful.” the phantom Sith had instructed you. “Its effectiveness is dependant on your connection to the Force, but also on the strength of the subject. Beings of exemplary mental fortitude can resist this compulsion, and some races of beings are somehow naturally resistant, or even completely immune. So, keep that in mind while you practice this.”

“You don't want to fight, you want to help me then get on with your day.” you continue, leaning heavily on the mental influence. And for a second you think it works, his expression relaxing slightly as his eyes fog over. But then he blinks, shaking his head as if shaking off water before glaring at you once more. Looks like that won't work.
“Mind tricks won't get you out of facing justice, you murderer.” the small one says, you sighing before retaking your fighting stance. You'll have to be careful to not.... Why is he growing?

“What the hell?” you mutter, watching in surprise as the being's size doubles, then doubles again. He quickly grows larger than even your dad, the round being towering over you. But his wierdness doesn't stop there, as his body begins splitting in two! The Yardratian warrior splits his body into two, then four as he forms a square around you. But at this display you can only smirk, this is perfect. You can kill three of these bodies, leaving a fourth alive with a quarter of its strength. Maybe then it'll listen to reason and stop this pointless resistance. But as you sense for his power, your own eyes go wide. Not only did his strength NOT go down from what you sensed when he arrived, but his power has actually grown significantly. Each of his four bodies are nearly half as powerful as your own Super Saiyan form! “No way!”

“My name is Jimira, disciple of the great Elder himself. And I will be the one to defeat you, offworlder.” all four declare, you also sensing the remaining civilians have taken the injured warrior and fled. But they're of no importance to you now, the key to finding Soba is standing here surrounding you. “State your name, invader, so I may know who it is that I will defeat.”
“My name? You really don't recognize me?” you ask, then seeing the blank stare sigh out. You haven't been Champion for only a few months, and already you are forgotten. But you'll reclaim your place at the top, and make sure everyone in the universe knows who you are and what you can do!

“I am the once and future Champion of Dreadzone, the Super Saiyan Chaya!” you declare, allowing your golden aura to blaze up wildly around you. “And I won't lose another fight because of my own carelessness, ever again.”
“A bold declaration, for one coming here.” he replies, each one taking the Instant Transmission stance of right hands to foreheads. “Now, let's see if you can back it up.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW_KVMij22k

“Bring it on!” you shout, immediately exploding forward and driving a fist straight into the one before you's mug. Bones crunch under the force of your strike, your punch sending him flying backwards. But you don't have time to pursue him, the other three immediately going on the attack. So, instead of pursuing the one you'd sent flying you turn, readying yourself. The closest two close the last of the distance, the one to your left swinging with his right fist for your head while the left fires off a left turning kick. But instead of blocking their pitiful attacks, you instead put your newly-sharpened telekinesis to the test with a smirk. “Hmph.”

Leaning back, you grab both attacking limbs with your mental grasp and then alter their trajectories. Instead of letting both attacks come at you, instead you twist them, forcing the two of them to swing on each other. They punch and kick each other simultaneously, the two of them shocked at this result.

“Wha-?”
“Huh?”

“Amateurs.” you say, leveling your hand at them both and preparing to execute both bodies. But before you can, the fourth appears behind you, catching you in a bear hug.
“Got you.” he says, squeezing you tight and presumably trying to crush you. “There is no escape. Quit resisting, or I'll be forc-”

But you don't listen to his pointless drivel. Instead you kick down with all of your might, driving your left heel down into his shin. Which you feel give with a snap, the alien shouting something in an unfamiliar language. But his grip on you loosens for just a moment from the sudden shock, giving you the opening you need. With a split second's focus you gather your ki into your eyes, Eye Beaming the two rushing Jimiras straight through their foreheads. Before they can react your beams punch right through their skulls, your attack scrambling their tiny brains and killing them instantly. The one holding you cries out, sounding even more agonized than when you'd shattered his leg. You can feel his hope dying, replaced with his overwhelming fear. You feel his despair and terror wash over you, the ecstasy drowning out all other sensations for several seconds.

Luckily for you he's in no condition to take advantage of the opening, you shake off the high and grab onto him. Before he recovers you flip him up and over your head, slamming him down onto the dead bodies. Which both, to your surprise, begin disappearing. You can feel his power slowly rising as he absorbs his two dead selves. However, even after absorbing both of the corpses' remaining power he's still nowhere close to your strength. Which is good, you don't want to reveal your true power before finding Soba.

“Do you want to cooperate now, or should I finish off that other body still laying over there?” you ask, pointing a tiny pinpoint of ki with your left hand towards his other body. “Your call, Jimira. Show me where he is, or die.”
“Tch.” he exhales through gritted teeth, no doubt trying to come up with something, anything to take you down. But after several seconds of silence he sighs out, bowing his head in defeat. “I surrender.”
“Good. Now, pull yourselves together, and take me to Soba.” you order, the one at your feet standing up and walking towards his other body. Which you see is still unconscious from your blow, the two becoming one. As they do, you grab him firmly by the back of his neck to make sure he doesn't try anything. You know how Instant Transmission works, and won't be left behind. “And if you try anything funny, I won't kill you. Not until I make you beg for the sweet release of death.”

At your words he releases another wave of absolute terror, toes curling as you drink it in. The rush feels so good, you understand how easily it would be to get addicted to such things. Just like you almost got addicted to those performance enhancers at Dreadzone. Thankfully Raditz showed you just how attached to them you'd become, and upon realizing it you'd stopped cold turkey. As you remember your probably now-former lover you sigh out, closing your eyes a moment. But when you open them, everything's changed. You are no longer next to where you crashed, instead you find yourself in some sort of plains, pillars of rock rising from the ground much like how Momma had described Planet Vegeta. And much like Planet Vegeta, there's almost nothing living around. Only you, the worthless worm whose neck is still held firmly in your grip, and the man meditating before you both. He gives off the aura of an older being, reminding you somewhat of the late Guardian as he meditates with his legs crossed, open hands resting palms up on his knees as he gently floats in the air. Rising and falling slightly in time with his breaths. He doesn't even react to your sudden arrival, nor is his powerlevel enough to even beat the one held in your hand. which just won't do.

So, you decide to address him directly. But before you can say anything, Bane begins speaking directly into your mind.

“Looks can be deceiving, don't underestimate this one.” Darth Bane instructs, the Sith Lord's tone serious. “This being is strong.”
“Hey, are you Soba?” you call out to the being, who doesn't even open his eyes to look at you. His indifference really annoys you, so it's time to make him feel fear. Even the one in your grip is no longer afraid, which is something you have to fix. Which you do by lifting his little body up by the neck, holding him suspended in the air between the two of you. “See, if you're NOT Soba, I'm going to spend the next several hours torturing this bastard for lying to me until he begs for death. But if you are him, then I no longer have any need to keep him here.”

“So, this is your true nature, Saiyan.” the being says, still not opening his eyes. But he does end his meditative pose, remaining suspended in the air until he gets his feet beneath him, standing on the ground in front of you. “Vox had told me you're decently strong, so I suppose I can humor you for a bit.”
“Humor me? Humor me?! I don't think you understand how this is going to go down, Soba.” you say with a scowl, Ascending in a burst of lightning. Your power doubles, and as you transform crush the neck and spine of the weakling held in your grip. His head pops off in a geyser of blood, body dropping to the ground lifelessly at your feet. “I'm going to kill you, decapitate your corpse and bring your head back to Vox before killing that backstabbing, traitorous bitch Tanya.”

“Oh? You think I'll just roll over and die for you?” Soba says, crossing his arms before him. Then with an audible “HRMPH!” his powerlevel explodes! His strength surges, multiplying over hundreds of times as he substantially bulks up. He grows to within a few percent of your own might, you maybe two to four percent stronger than him. Sure you're still a few million powerlevel higher than him, but when measuring in the hundreds of millions that hardly makes a difference. Now towering over you, he looks down at you with a smirk. “Well then, let's see what you can do.”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 183 Intermission End-
>>
Ya know, my initial reaction was to say we need to have a talk with Chaya about this shit down the line.
Then I remembered the title of this Quest and Karn's background.
>>
>>5426466
And that's the intermission, enjoying this glimpse into the fruits of Chaya's different training and her mindset now? Curious how not only this fight will play out, but how things with both Karn and Freeza will progress? Hopefully all this and more when episode 183 continues this Saturday!

Also, small announcement. This Saturday will be the only day this weekend I can run, I won't be available this Sunday so the episode might end on a bit of a larger cliffhanger than usual. I don't know if you all feel it, but the next few runs/episodes are going to be absolutely wild I can't wait
>>
>>5426471
I'mma be 100 wit chu chief, I really don't care to see Chaya's horseshit. She made just about every single wrong choice and interpretation she possibly could have and now no matter how she goes about it it'll be irritating to see. Let's say she suddenly does start to make all the good choices and understands things, in which case fuck you specifically. Or she goes full retard like anons were whining about, that'd be very disappointing. Or maybe she straight up loses and breaks down and that's just heartbreaking. It's an entirely losing situation, you feel me?

On the other hand, I am extremely hype to see how Babidi is going to try and handle Frieza. He'll have to get creative if he's going to try and Majin the Emperor because the typical little temptation probably won't mean shit when he knows there are literal wish granting balls in arms reach. We get to see why Babidi is such a conniving and slippery little freak and that's always a treat.
>>
>>5426470
Karn wouldn't be one to have such a conversation. Raven would be a better choice, if Chaya would even listen.
>>5426481
>understands things, in which case fuck you specifically
Hwut?
As for Babidi, well, this is certainly going to be fun. For me, perhaps not for everyone else. But I'm gonna enjoy the upcoming storm.
>>
>>5426494
>Hwut?
As in writer's fiat. She suddenly "gets it" and everything she does is peachy-dory and the right call. It's the sort of shit you see in lots of modern media. Especially ones with genuinely unlikable characters.

I wonder which goons Babidi is going to bring along. It's definitely exciting.
>>

>the right call
>implying
You still have no idea what Future Chaya showed her that caused her turn. But as you saw in the return to Towa's place, your alternate timeline daughter does feel bad about what happened and sending this timeline's Chaya down this path.
It's going to be good. If you haven't figured out at least one, I'll be disappointed.
>>
>>5426471
Awfully tempestuous and brash Chaya can be. And I don't mean bullying the pinkies, I mean rushing into things. Didn't even let the first fucker finish his sentence before murking him. Granted, I strongly believe we would've gone just about the same way albeit more patiently and mercifully if for whatever reason we or the PTO needed Soba's head on a platter.

Maybe its my bias or the selfish context of Chaya's little mission, but murking non-combatants first and reveling in sadism doesn't sound like the way to go. It's par the course for a typical Saiyan, but would Karn feed off of fear for pleasure and anihilate the slightest thing for not giving him what he wants immediately, after all he's done and been through? But at the end of the day, Chaya is her own person and may not abide by what WE think she should be. I'm just hoping she doesn't end up falling deeper. Also;
>The rush feels so good, you understand how easily it would be to get addicted to such things. Just like you almost got addicted to those performance enhancers at Dreadzone.
Thats it, we're sending the Jewfish to roast in the core of New Salda. Fucker was coking up our baby girl.
>>
>>5426520
Before the Covenant war, Karn would have acted much the same. But Chaya's actions here were logical, to an extent if you think it through. Thinking that the strongest of their species would act like her father, the strongest of HER species if she starts killing them, they'll send their strongest to stop her. At least eventually, if no one led her to him first. And they're all dead anyways, she knows this world is slated for cleansing remember?
>but would Karn feed off of fear for pleasure and anihilate the slightest thing for not giving him what he wants immediately, after all he's done and been through?
>after all he's done and been through
That's a key difference. She's cleared less than a dozen worlds herself for the PTO, fought a single war against the Hive, and spent most of her time fighting for others' (and admittedly her own) entertainment.
And that wasn't Vox's fault, as he never pushed it on her. The only reason it happened at all is he hadn't remembered to remove Ace Hardlight's dispenser when Chaya moved into the Champion suite. After she went cold turkey, she tore the machine right out of the ground and carried it up to Vox's office. Who freaked out when he realized what'd happened to her.

I actually completely forgot that part, which explains why the Frieza Force pods were pre-programmed for Yardrat back in the BTFO canon timeline.
>And that wasn't Vox's fault, as he never pushed it on her. The only reason it happened at all is he hadn't remembered to remove Ace Hardlight's dispenser when Chaya moved into the Champion suite.
Ah, so just standard carelessness. He's been dancing on the line for a while now. Almost as much as Kars and Shin are.

>>after all he's done and been through
>That's a key difference. She's cleared less than a dozen worlds herself for the PTO, fought a single war against the Hive, and spent most of her time fighting for others' (and admittedly her own) entertainment.
Thanks for this response, now I know it was my bias talking. It's hard to remember that we were as young and dumb as Chaya is being right now, before time travel, before the Covenant, before New Salda. Back when we were kicking it back by slaughtering Godzilla and destroying all the little Greys with no survivors. And even before the quest when Karn was doing the daily Tuffle extermination run on Planet Vegeta. All of that was before we hit it off with Meloka, had children of our own, inadvertently establish a strong and loyal relationship with the Saiyans and the Cold Clan, and met Towa, the Guardian, the Ctarl-Ctarl, the Tamaraneans, Raven, Ubo, Camali, B7, our students, and many more friends along the way. I bet that the Karn of today having children of his own would have done something very different than the Karn that defeated Killua Zoldyck on Boros' ship all those years ago.

Sorry for rambling, but point is that unlike Chaya we have the years of experience that rounded out our skills, improved them, and mellowed us out. And trust me, we did really stupid shit early on, picrel. It fucking hurts seeing the mistakes we've learned from a second time, but I'll be keeping a more open mind with Chaya, as she's a different person and is FRESH out of the galactic kiddie pool.
>>

Still a lack of trust, bro. But I was just taking the piss anyway.
>>
>>5426558
Let me stop you right there, pal. Karn never alienated people around him. He never went and told Nappa he was a poopyhead. And the stupid decisions he made weren't for his own gain or ego. Karn certainly was just as bullheaded and brash but he wasn't doing it to prove something. You're comparing a lemon and a lime. Yeah they'll both make you pucker but they aren't the exact same thing.

He’d just completely forgotten it was in there, and since no one mentioned it he only said to remove Ace’s personal affects. Not any of the auto vendors installed. Once he realized what happened, Vox did redeem himself slightly and did everything in his power to ensure she was clean. Not out of compassion, or even fear of Karn. But in the interest of protecting his then-greatest asset.
Karn has grown a lot since the start of this quest, his physical strength change representative of just how far he’s developed in other areas too.
>>5426563
Karn also never had anyone as close to him as he is to his daughter say what Future Chaya showed Chaya YOU thought of her and her life choices. Spoiler I guess.
>the stupid decisions he made weren't for his own gain or ego
That’s because Karn never had a choice with his life aside from fight and live, or die. That has been a big part of Karn’s whole reason, fighting so his kids can go out and CHOOSE what sort of lives they’ll live for themselves instead of blindly following orders.

This is giving me a headache kek. I'm just going to stop trying to read this.
>That’s because Karn never had a choice with his life aside from fight and live, or die
I still don't think Karn would be in the same boat as Chaya if he were born in different times. He'd probably wind up as the guy who relaxes more than anything and just wants to be with friends and family than try to put the universe on his shoulders. And then his family would get got by some bullshit and he'd go full Jiren and promptly be deleted for the sheer risk of leaving his timeline intact poses.

Oh, so she's just dumb. She didn't even stop to consider that if you can look at a virtually inexhaustible supply of timelines there will be one for just about any statement possible. And therefore it should be ignored because for every bad one there will logically be a good one, and she should instead focus on the one she has instead. But no, because she's a child. Damn kids, don't they ever consider multiversal causality any more? Why back in my day!
>he would most likely kill himself with Wish trying to revive his family
BIG oof.
>>
Reading all of this sounds like one massive oof from both sides and I don't feel like internalizing who was really wrong/right. Y'know aside from Future Chaya holding the idiot ball. Whatever, it's not my place to judge and criticize. Chaya is her own person and can learn from her own mistakes. The only real factor is whether or not we can help her when the time comes she needs someone to bounce on. Like I said before, we have bigger priorities to focus on, especially in terms of family.

I just hope her decision doesn't end up having to transverse through the worlds for dragon balls or ask Chilli if he knows someone who can revive the dead.

>Y'know aside from Future Chaya holding the idiot ball
Yeah, she’s really blaming herself for what happened. She just wanted your Chaya to turn out more like herself power wise, but now she has to deal with the consequences of her actions.
As long as she remembers why she lost, why she has her scars she should be fine. She’s stronger than canon 100% full power Namek Freeza, matching canon namek Super Saiyan Goku’s power without going Ultra. Not many beings can really compete with her outside the Saiyans anymore

>>
>>5426824
That's fair. I just would've preferred she trained with us till she got her SS Rage form into a stable and/or reliable state. That or at least achieve SS3 before going off. She can't recklessly charge in with a rematch fight with Tanya just yet. If she learned precisely why she lost and worked on methods to counteract such cases it'd be one thing. It's a whole other thing if she wants to win with the showboating style she championed for so long. Hence why she needs more overwhelming power.
>>
>>5426979
Here's hoping Soba can show Chaya exactly why that showboating style has no place on the battlefield.
There are elements to it that work though. In particular, her understanding of psychology in regards to observers is too notch.
>>
>>5426979
That said, >>5426941 is right that F. Chaya invalidated the entire discussion and vote. I understand where GM is coming from as a fellow GM. Things like this are gonna happen at some point when you have so many factors to work with. Players can't micromanage everything or make sure that everything goes smoothly like they're batman. At the same time, you still have to respect the players. Alienating them and invalidating their work often sours them and causes them to be more resentful, perhaps to the point of quitting the quest. SOM is a prime example of what NOT to do. Between this, being unable to keep up with F. Chaya or beating Meloka? I can understand the frustration.

I'm going to keep sticking with this since I trust you and I honestly don't care about the aforementioned anymore. What's done is done. This is just me giving a warning due to the delicacy of the situation.

>>5426941
>That invalidates the whole point of us having the discussion and the vote
In what way? This’ll get a bit meta, but those are “your” (Karn’s) different thoughts on the matter. Just because in THIS timeline you chose not to say what you were feeling doesn’t mean in other timelines you DIDN’T say all those things.

That’s how Future Chaya presented it anyways, crushing your Chaya’s spirit and turning her into what she is now.
>>5426979
>If she learned precisely why she lost and worked on methods to counteract such cases it'd be one thing.
She knows exactly why she lost. Tanya was fighting to kill her, while she underestimated her opponent and was fighting for fun.
>>5426981
We’ll see how this all goes, but probably not for a bit.
>>5426990
I get the frustration. I was REALLY hoping you all would follow up and actually BE THERE for Chaya in that moment when that went down. But anons chose differently, even with in-character knowledge it might not go well.
Thank you for the vote of confidence
>>
>>5427006
He's right, it does invalidate it. We specifically chose not to say those other things, but now those other things were said anyways because of timeline shenanigans and Chaya's treating it like her actual right-here-in-front-of-her dad is saying it.
Don't lean too hard onto the multiple timeline shit unless you're also going to have someone call them out on their shit for it. The only ones that matter are the ones you see right in front of you, not some bullshit alternate timeline version that goes full asshole. That's them, not us.
>>
>>5427010
>Don't lean too hard onto the multiple timeline shit unless you're also going to have someone call them out on their shit for it
Which is why I WANTED you all there for this to go down, but that isn’t what was chosen. Why do you think Future Chaya was so upset and apologetic when you first returned to Towa’s place after your Chaya ran away? Towa explained to Future Chaya how she’d essentially character assassinated you by using other, DIFFERENT yous. Like guilt by association but worse. Future Chaya has learned her lesson, and Towa has tried to explain to Chaya why what Future Chaya did was wrong. But hearing ‘her’ dad say those things about her don’t just go away.
>>
>>5427015
Surely even Bane would drill it into her skull that alternate timelines are not to be trusted. There's probably an alternate timeline out there where Karn went all Kronus on his kids, after all.
Staying grounded in reality, YOUR reality, is the most important thing. Relying too much on alternates or uncertain futures is the undoing of many.
>>
>>5427006
If she knows that then she should know not to rush into a confrontation. Polish up her skills, get more experience, and cultivate the power of rage properly as she hones herself. She won't get another chance with the element of surprise on her side. I get it that she's a teenager and it's hard to swallow one's pride after learning such a damning reveal. At the same time, she threw away a perfect opportunity to get stronger in the most efficient way possible. If anything she should be looking to tap into that divine power or at least better her spirit. Tormenting the Yardrats due to superficial reasons is foolish and unnecessary. But again I'm not Chaya so what she does up here is all on her.
>>
>>5427018
>>5427015
As for the other subject. There's no point in placing blame or bitching and raving about it. It really sucks that we got the Character assassinated, but I'm not going to try and beg for forgiveness for other people's opinions. If she's going to hold it against us just because they're alternate us and not real dad, then again that's all on her. We're not perfect, but we shouldn't be scrutinized just because of the voices of others. Alternate timelines are finicky businesses that only serve to show as one of many possibilities. What she should focus on is the fact she got the timeline where WE'RE SUPPORTIVE OF HER. We just want her to be properly prepared and willing to see all the possibilities before making her choice. We didn't that chance at her age. So I can understand the frustration.

I hate being a repeating track, but my opinion is the same. We give her space, let her do what she wants, and focus on the youngins we have around us. We can't get sidetracked from the big picture. So all we can do is continue to move forward. Chaya wanted to go out without a safety net, then so be it.
>>
>>5427006
>In what way
How does it matter, when with our discussion of what to say was invalidated by fchaya? We might as well have told Chaya to go fuck herself and excommunicate her from the family because that may as well be what f Chaya showed her anyways.

Or our vote of hey F Chaya maybe tone it down a bit? If that's her toning it down I wonder what she would have actually done.

It doesn't matter anyways, I no longer care about Chayas character arc.
Maybe if my work changes up I will actually be able to participate in quest again, but not likely.
>>
>>5426824
>She only showed the timelines that split right there in that moment, and almost none of you said anything even remotely supportive
Yes. She was being selective. That's what I'm saying. Our Chaya just took what was shown to her as gospel instead of considering the possibilities and implications. Confirmation bias or whatever. Basically Future Chaya was being mean without realizing it and our Chaya was being less logical than she could have been. Which is understandable because she is still young. And then she winds up thinking her dad hates her because someone who is but isn't her dad is saying mean things about her.

Like if someone showed me a portal that had my dad saying he should have strangled me in my crib I'd just whistle and shrug. Because -that- man isn't -my- dad. Because -my- dad never said that even though he could have at any moment. That's the problem with infinite alternate timelines. Should I be mad that I'm not a billionaire from winning the lottery because it's possible that I did somewhen else? Of course not. I have what I have and I am what I am. And knowing or seeing the possibilities otherwise is entirely irrelevant to the reality of my situation.

Chaya only doesn't get it because she's spoiled with being able to actually hang out with people from other timelines and that definitely distorts that very basic separation of what ultimately should amount to fiction and reality. But most damning is that, again, there are -infinite- possibilities and what you are shown cannot be the totality of it all. That consideration alone COMPLETELY eradicates any weight such a showing has.

I'm not bashing her to be an asshole, I'm just expressing how frustrating it is for her to never really have a sit down and a think. But that's just the way she is. And now it's hurting her.

Honestly I think Chaya going this route is fairly interesting.

I think a lot of people seem to forget that despite Karn being a loving father and husband, he is not a good person. The amount of people we've killed is in the trillions and we will 100% deservedly go to Hell when we die assuming we aren't erased by Chronoa. None of the people we surround ourselves with in-quest can be called good people except for maybe our younger kids and it's only a matter of time before they're damned to Hell as well.

This is called Saiyan CONQUEROR Quest after all.

I like the idea of Chaya just becoming a version of us without our very few redeeming qualities due to feeling like we hate her and leaning into the Sith teachings.
>>
>>5427104
Interesting, maybe. But that doesn't mean anyone has to like it. And what's wrong with someone wanting their kid to come out better than they are? Why does Karn being a bad person invalidate his well wishes for his children?

Chaya growing up to be just like Karn with none of his good traits would wind up making her a miserable and lonely person. I quite hate the idea, myself. Not narratively but in principle.
>>
>>5427108
>And what's wrong with someone wanting their kid to come out better than they are?
Nothing at all.

>Why does Karn being a bad person invalidate his well wishes for his children?
Think of how many other families he's eradicated. Why should he get to be happy when they're all dead? I'm not saying it necessarily invalidates Karn's desire for his children to be better, but if all you do is spread death and destruction to everyone outside of the people you care about, don't be surprised when your kids take the wrong lessons from that.

>Chaya growing up to be just like Karn with none of his good traits would wind up making her a miserable and lonely person. I quite hate the idea, myself. Not narratively but in principle.

I believe that is the point. Narratively yes it makes sense but because we the readers empathize with Karn and his struggles, we hate it. We want to see him and the people he cares about be happy even though they probably do not deserve it.
>>
>>5427017
>that alternate timelines are not to be trusted
Trusted? No. But learned from absolutely.
>Relying too much on alternates or uncertain futures is the undoing of many.
This. She’s chosen her path and now there’s not time for what ifs or could have beens.
>>5427018
>then she should know not to rush into a confrontation. Polish up her skills, get more experience, and cultivate the power of rage properly as she hones herself.
But why not? In her mind, the ONLY reason she lost was underestimating Tanya and not giving 100% during the entire fight, not due to any lack of strength.
>At the same time, she threw away a perfect opportunity to get stronger in the most efficient way possible
She feels that she can only move on once she’s “fixed” her mistake by rematching and destroying Tanya.
>>5427020
>So all we can do is continue to move forward.
This is an excellent mindset. Focus on those who both need and want your help. And right now the one who needs your help most is Freeza.
>>5427050
That choice matters, especially when she matures a bit and looks back on this. She’ll realize of all the ways you COULD have handled it, how you supported her regardless. But that’s some long term growth, not something that happens in only a few months in-character.
>>5427086
For that I didn’t make anything up, just took anons’ write ins and votes from the threads
>And then she winds up thinking her dad hates her because someone who is but isn't her dad is saying mean things about her.
Yes that one hurts her the most. Every time she sees you she hears those other Karns tearing her down. But when she matures a bit she’ll realize her dad never said that to HER, which is all that matters. She’ll grow to feel sorry for the other Chaya’s who weren’t lucky enough to have YOU as her dad. But she’s got a lot of maturing to do to get to that point.
>I'm not bashing her to be an asshole, I'm just expressing how frustrating it is for her to never really have a sit down and a think. But that's just the way she is. And now it's hurting her
It hurts me, I wish it hadn’t gone down like this. But if I ever blatantly qm fiat away such things the entire quest dies. Nothing matters and choices are irrelevant if handwavium fixes the problems, and SCQ would die then and there.
>>5427104
>he is not a good person.
Bingo. He’s a hero of FREEZA’S empire. Just because he’s not a sadist like Freeza that doesn’t make him good.
>The amount of people we've killed is in the trillions
A pretty low ball number.
>>5427108
>Interesting, maybe. But that doesn't mean anyone has to like it.
A very solid point.

But a better question regarding Chaya and her future: say she gets everything she’s after. Kills Soba, beats Tanya and regains her throne, vengeance sated. Will it be the same as before? Will the title still mean anything by then?
>>
>>5427113
>Frieza
I trust in our friend to resist Babidi's magic and handily dispatch whatever fodder is thrown at him.
Barring that, Kazuma better be smart enough to try and get Frieza out of there intact.
>>
>>5427113
>Will the title still mean anything by then?
It never did, but Chaya's never really been in a position where she's had to question it...
Until now.
>>
>>5427111
>don't be surprised when your kids take the wrong lessons from that.
Ever since Karn had kids the only genocides he's committed have been in retribution or we're objectively doing a service to the universe (the imulsion planet, for instance) . At least since Chaya was old enough to actually remember. We didn't even totally wipe out the covies. It's hard to say "you set a bad example" when the ones you're setting an example for weren't around to take in that lesson at the time. And stories of days of old don't hit the same as seeing it with your own eyes.

>>5427113
>For that I didn’t make anything up, just took anons’ write ins and votes from the threads
Makes sense, but that's not really fair. The argument remains unchanged. She was showing what she wanted to show.
>I wish it hadn’t gone down like this. But if I ever blatantly qm fiat away such things the entire quest dies. Nothing matters and choices are irrelevant if handwavium fixes the problems, and SCQ would die then and there.
I'm not upset about Future Chaya behaving the way she did. It makes sense from her mindset. She was trying to do what she thought would help spare our Chaya from F-Chaya's trauma. If you look at it in a vacuum it could come off as kind of a dick move but when you step back for the bigger picture it all fits into place as to -why- it played out. People just feel miffed because in their eyes there was nothing that could be done. Which is also understandable because people had a gameplan for how they wanted to deal with Chaya that never really accounted for F-Chaya sidestepping it. So when it did start to happen they stuck to their gameplan instead of scrambling a new one, a bad call but an understandable one. No one is being unreasonable on either side here. I don't want to come off as if I'm criticizing you unfairly or trying to put you down for following through with all the possibilities that we as players may forget about or not consider. Out of sight out of mind and all that.

>Will it be the same as before? Will the title still mean anything by then?
Probably not. Such is the nature of personal growth. But it's always possible. What I see is the most likely is that if she beat -the best- and won it all back now she's at the pinnacle (in her mind) and that can start to feel stagnant or stifling. So she'd either wind up hating that she's back and truly beyond challenging and give up on it all (which can lead to some other seriously dark thoughts) or she'd double down and decide that she has to be the actual best and start fucking around with the real bad apples of the universe. Like tracking Lobo and trying to kill him because of some silly notion that "If no one can kill him and I do then I'm BETTER than everyone else". Or deciding that beating up Frieza is a thing she should do. Killing God. Y'know, the real ego shit.
>>
>>5427113
Because she can't assume that Tanya would stay the same or give her a chance to test out such a theory. She should prepare for every possibility, not just the main one that cost her the match. If she doesn't realize that then that's on her. She made her choice. All I can say at this point is that I hope her revenge goes well and doesn't corrupt her.

But like >>5427104 said, everyone here isn't good in the traditional sense or at all. The Saiyans and everyone else are destined for hell in one way or another. It just sucks seeing them acting cartoonishly evil for shits and giggles.

I don't see what Chaya is doing as cartoonishly evil. What I think she's doing is fairy simple. She's overcompensating for her own perceived weakness. Before she lost to Tanya, she felt like she was on top of the world. Nothing could stop her.

Then she lost in front of the entire galaxy. Then she learns that we never really liked her showboating lifestyle and thought it was stupid.

Chaya's view of herself and the world around her was shattered, so now she's desperately trying to put things 'back to the way they should be' even if it makes her act like a massive cunt in the process. Hm... now doesn't that sound familiar?

But this is to go even further beyond! She'll spend decades having her character assassinated and playing second fiddle to another character, then when a small sliver of hope that she'll get closure or her time to shine in the spotlight it'll be snatched away at the last second and she'll be clowned on again AND THEN she'll finally FINALLY be the protagonist for twelve seconds before her efforts are futile and she once more becomes the sandbag of the setting.

Let's hope the comparison only stays surface level. For the love of all that is holy lettuce hope.

But really I think time spent cooling her heels in Hell will be good for Chaya. If she’s going to play stupid games then she deserves to win stupid prizes. Then once she’s revived she’ll hopefully be more willing to actually reflect on what’s happened and talk it out.

Don’t think of it as death. It’s more like she’s being put in Time Out.

She's been throwing her life changing tantrum for less than a year. It's a bit early to think death is a preferable alternative.

Getting her shit pushed in by Soba, even to the point of pure humiliation? Sure. Straight up dying? Nah. Besides, think about how that'd make Karn feel. And then think if the universe could survive long enough for him to calm down.

I never said it would be permanent. I’m serious about the time out analogy. It’s basically how canon treats death. Heck, even in this quest death is a mild inconvenience for the Time Patrol.
>>
>>5427139
Getting your rocks off on people's fear is little leagues. It's inciting feat to incite fear.
No, what makes someone a true saiyan is to incite fear merely as a byproduct of your devastating rampage through the enemy forces. They will know your rage, and they will know they cannot escape it. Death comes for them, and it will not be a gentle one.
That is what it means to BECOME fear. Not to simply indulge in it.
>>
>>5427182
>Heck, even in this quest death is a mild inconvenience for the Time Patrol.
Hence why they get super complacent and subsquently get rolled despite having an arguably better line-up almost every time we fight them.
>>
>>5427182
You forget that this isn't "Dragon Ball Z Quest: The Insert-ening" but "Saiyan Conqueror Quest", where death has consequences for once. You act as if Frieza has the dragon balls on speed dial already. If, by some miracle, we get the balls and Babidi & cohorts are dead forever, all of this chaos and turmoil might kill Guru when all of this is done AT BEST. He isn't getting any younger, and I strongly believe that there won't be any namekians left to make more of them shits. I'm fully expecting the macguffin orbs to be obliterated by the end of this arc.

And come ON, you don't actually WANT to be like the Jobber Patrol? The same guys that die to anyone that has more than half a braincell and an actual instinct to survive? That's Tuffle talk, fren.
>>
>>5427192
While true, you’re forgetting something.

They still keep coming no matter how many times we fold them. That’s an advantage in itself.

All it takes for us to die permanently is for them to get a lucky roll ONCE. Then the protag becomes Chili, Broly or Chaya. Who all have the same level of immunity to bullshit dice rolls that Karn does. That is to say absolutely none at all.

>>
>>5427201
Yeah. That’s just ONE of her.

Now that she knows we can do that to her, do you really think Chronoa wouldn’t be more careful now? Plus there were like dozens of her from what we saw. We’d have to kill all of them to be absolutely sure she’s gone for good and that’s going to take a lot of time. When it comes to time, she has the advantage.

Plus there’s her predecessor who might decide to just erase our timeline out of hand.

>>5427202
Point I suppose. But I don’t like playing with those kinds of odds even then.

As the user tries to execute Karn, Divine Dragon Force reawakened! With his Stand back, Karn continued the assault, everyone forcing their way deeper and deeper. But as we rejoin Karn, everyone else was suddenly captured by an enemy Stand!

“Lester Sands will grind the flesh from your bones!” the skull seemingly declares, then opens its mouth wide. And starts sucking the sand, and everyone stuck inside it, down into its mouth. “You will all perish! Die, Die! DIE!”
“How many Stand users did Truth make before I killed him?” you wonder to yourself as you dash down towards the skull. You can't sense anyone inside, so it's more than likely one of the cyber Sangheili or Lin Kuei. Either way, there's only one way to handle a problem like this one. “Eat this! HAAAAAA!!”

With a roar you fire a large ball of ki down, your Scattershot splitting as it passes into the giant skull's mouth. The one orb instantly becomes dozens, the balls of ki all exploding against the insides of the giant skull Stand. And see an immediate reaction, the skull howling as if in pain. But then it starts dissolving into sand, quickly losing its shape as it becomes little more than a malformed pile. The sucking stops as well, everyone blasting up and out of the sand pit. But as you look around, it leaves an important question in your mind:

How do you proceed?
>Keep heading down right through the sand, use it to flood the lower levels and disorient your enemies below
>Smash your way down through the 'stands', make a path without drowning yourselves in sand along with your opponents
>Switch tactics, find the path down to the next floor. After all, they were all ready for you on this floor to not use conventional travel, so it's time to change your approach
>Focus on the nearest ki that isn't one of your allies, teleport you all directly to them for a different type of ambush

“Alright everyone, we're gonna find the way down this time.” you say to them all. “They were ready or a non-conventional approach and were ready for us, so we need to change up our approach as well. We'll split up and find the way down.”
“You sure about that?” King Vegeta asks. “You sure you want us all to split up?”
“Only while exploring this floor.” you tell him. “Once someone's found the exit down, we'll regroup on them and keep moving.”
“You heard him, split up and search.” King Vegeta orders, everyone flying off in different directions. You head back towards where those two Stand users were waiting on you, landing down beside them at the wall. In the wall there is a gate seemingly made out of some sort of metal, you reaching out to grab onto it.

But just as you're about to touch it you stop, fingers a mere inch or two away as you hear something. It takes you a few moments to place it, but it sounds like the hum of something with electricity coursing through it. Which is confirmed a second later as a stray spark jumps from the bar to your Energy Body-shielded self. Which actually does nothing to stop the electricity, you making a mental note of that for the future as you pull your hand back with a “Tsk.” Taking a step back you then reach out with your telekinesis, grabbing onto the metal bars and with a snarl jerk the ENTIRE thing free of the wall! Sparks dance for a few seconds on the sides of the new opening, no doubt the power to the bars keeping everyone out. Then you suddenly hear an unfamiliar almost purring noise from within, realizing that the gate might not have been to keep people out, but to keep something in. And before you can expand your ki sense, from within a creature hops out.

“Prrrrt?” it vocalizes, the furry blue ball of a creature tilting its head/body in confusion. It has two giant eyes, two feet, and a small antenna with a red ball on the end. As you look at the tiny creature no bigger than your head, you think it almost adorable. But then a thought comes from the back of your mind: why was this little thing behind such heavy security? Was it to protect this thing if you all showed up, or was there another reason? You focus on it with your ki sense, at to your surprise this little furball's powerlevel is easily in the seven digits. Somehow. What in the world IS this thing?

Then all of a sudden it grins at you, wickedly sharp shark teeth showing prominently as you realize something else with your ki sense: that one isn't alone.

“Oh shit.” you mutter, and as you do the one before you attacks. In a blink it leaps for your face teeth first, without hesitation you drive your Energy Body-clad fist straight into the beast's mouth. Then with a roar drive it down to the ground, dropping to a knee as you smash the beast. “HRRAAA!”

The beast on your arm dies, its fangs unable to pierce deep enough into your Energy Body to have inflicted any actual damage. But as you withdraw your fist and rise back up to your feet, now there are a dozen of the little monsters standing where the one was before it lept. The little lights on their heads all blink once, eyes changing from large and disarming to small and disquieting, all twelve baring their fangs at you and snarling. You sense even more from within the darkness, hundreds of them. But even worse than that, you sense one of them has an absolutely massive powerlevel, at least eight digits' worth and dwarfing these little ones. This is a problem.

But what do you do about it?
>Fire off a Scattershot at the roof directly above them, collapse it on top of these monsters and seal off this exit before they can get out
>Unleash a pair of Scattershots down into that darkness, destroy as many of these clustered monsters instantly as possible
>Focus on the strongest one's ki and fire off a Death Slash into the darkness at it, try and kill that one first before the swarm rushes out
>Back away slowly, then try and use your telekinesis to throw the gate back up. Perhaps they won't break through it before you all leave this floor
>Dash forward at the twelve, then activate your Unmovable Energy Body to draw fire while telepathically asking for help clearing these monsters out
>Blast the twelve while making a hole down to the next level, unleash the Remnants' monsters on them instead of the rest of the universe

“I don't have time for this.” you think to yourself, pondering for a moment how to make this work. You can't afford to get stuck fighting against a sea of monstrous fur balls with teeth. Then you have an idea! Why not release these monsters back on the ones who would unleash them? Smirking you draw your left arm back, gathering your ki into an orb the size of your head in your hand. Then with a shout fire, unleashing the attack right at the twelve. “HAAAA!”

Your shout startles the dozen creatures, who all look at the approaching orb with wide eyes. They don't understand what they're looking at, watching your attack close in and crash to the ground between them. It explodes on contact, consuming the creatures in the fiery blast. Your attack packed a tremendous amount of power into it, and as the smoke clears you see that there is now a massive hole in the floor around where the creatures had been standing. Light radiates up from below, you hearing several beings shouting in an unfamiliar language. But the fur ball creatures see the opening, and attack. You watch in rapidly-mounting horror as at first a couple at a time, then more and more of the small furry, hopping creatures turn into a sea of furry bodies leaping from the dark depths down into the level below.

Screams come from the level below as the little monsters run rampant, and to your surprise not a single one heads towards you. Until the stream starts to die off, and the massive powerlevel you'd sensed slowly approaches. It lumbers out of the dark, towering over even you as it stands next to the hole. And you realize that the hole you'd made isn't big enough. The giant creature looks at you then down at the hole, then back to you with its fangs bared. If you don't do something, it'll no doubt attack you.

“Hold on.” you mutter, reaching out with your telekinesis and grab a hold of the broken ground. You brute force tear the ground apart wider, throwing chunks of the ground aside as you swiftly widen the opening. The beast looks from you to the hole, and seemingly understands as it backs up a couple lumbering steps. But then it runs forward, leaping straight up into the air over the hole. Before you can try and stop it the beast slams its massive body down, shattering the broken ground and widening the hole enough for it to go on through. You watch the large beast disappear from sight, and after a second or two hear it smash down to the floor below. Those things could be a problem later, hopefully they'll be more of a problem for these assholes.

“Karn, we found it.” you hear Meloka call out, you turning and seeing them all gathered on the far side of the oval-shaped arena. You don't look back and take off, quickly flying over and landing beside everyone else, gathered next to a right-curving downwards staircase. Who are all looking at you. “What did you find over there?”
“Some sort of monsters they had locked up.” you say, then go on to explain what you saw and how you released them down to the floor below. “So, keep your ki senses up and make sure they don't jump you. Their teeth are incredibly sharp, look.”

You then hold up your fist that the one had bitten in, the marks still present in your Energy Body. You see everyone's eyes widen in surprise at seeing how much damage it could potentially do, then with a thought you focus and restore your shield to full.

“Alright, let's go.” King Vegeta says, he and his queen Cenoria leading the way down into the depths. You all follow behind him, bringing up the rear yourself just in case something tries sneaking up on you all. But nothing happens as you all walk down the stairs for more than a minute, this staircase taking you down several floors without a way out. Leaving all the blue fur balls several floors above you as they rampage. Then it finally comes to a stop, you all exiting the stairs into a strange room. It looks quite utilitarian, four rows of large tables spanning the length of the massive room. It is easily the size of the arena above, you recognizing it as a mess hall capable of hosting several hundred if not a thousand people at once. But it looks abandoned. Cobwebs hang from the ceiling in the corners, a layer of dust covering everything. “Looks abandoned.”

“Makes sense, robots don't need to eat after all.” Leyas says, walking out past King Vegeta. “Maybe they still have something worth salvaging in the kitchen back there?”

As he says this you feel your own stomach growl, immediately wanting something to eat. But as he walks towards the door at the back, you can't shake the feeling that you're being watched.

What now?
>Have everyone spread out but stay within eyesight of everyone else, let them know you feel someone watching you

"Hold on Leyas, we need to stick together." you tell him, taking a couple steps forward and closing the distance. Keeping everyone within arm's reach, just in case. “Stay together, something's watching us.”
“Let 'em come, I'll break them in half.” he declares boldly, you all sticking close and heading towards the kitchen together. But as you approach, you can smell it: something smells good. Something smells really, really good.

“H-Hey, does anyone else smell that?” Cenoria asks, you all looking around and seeing everyone else smells it too. Then it's probably not an enemy Stand, probably. But that doesn't mean it can't be a trap.
“Karn, you and Leyas go through first.” King Vegeta says, quickly drawing up a plan of attack. “Cenoria, you and Caulifla in the center of the group, while Meloka and I draw up the rear. Keep your eyes peeled, and call out anything strange you see.”
“Sir.” you and Leyas immediately reply, you all approaching what is presumably the door to the kitchen. Which is emphasized by the smell of grilling meats growing stronger by the second, you forcing yourself to keep your mouth closed to avoid drooling. Leyas makes no such attempt, rushing to the door and shoving his fists into it, tearing the door out of its track and throwing it away before rushing in.

“Dammit.” you mutter, sprinting to keep up with your friend as he rushes into the tile floored room. You look around as you enter, and what immediately catches your eye is an unfamiliar-looking humanoid-shaped machine watching over one of the grills, frying several different delicious-smelling meats. It has a spatula in one hand, an odd pan with spikes on the other side while several different other kitchen blades' handles protrude from its back. As you inhale, the smell overpowering your common sense. It hits you at an instinctual level, your hunger almost completely overpowering your reason as you rush forward as well. With a few steps on you Leyas gets there first, grabbing a large slab of some red meat cooking, and sinks his teeth into it. As he does the metal chef turns, Leyas seemingly completely unaware of it. But then realization dawns: can he even see it?

“Burn.” the machine says, eye glowing menacingly at the still-unaware Leyas. Shit, that thing's a Stand!
“LEYAS!” you shout, reaching out and grabbing him with your left, right going to your forehead. But before you can teleport back out of range, the Stand attacks. It swings the spatula in a horizontal arc, spraying flames from it that bathe both you and your friend as your world becomes pain.

“GUYAAAAAAA!!” you shout as the heat cooks you through your Energy Body, ki doing nothing to shield you from the intense flames. Your concentration is shattered, leaving you unable to teleport the two of you away. Everything burns, you thrashing wildly but can't escape. After several seconds of pure hell you try and focus, to try and see the Stand through the flames, but the wall of fire is blinding. You can't even see Leyas, and despite having not let go that you're aware you can't tell if you've still got a hand on him or not through the pain. This is bad, this is really bad! You're going to die!

“HIYAAAA!” a young woman's voice calls out over the roaring flames, you faintly seeing something golden blast through the fire towards the Stand. You want to warn them to stay away, to avoid these soul-searing flames, but you can't do anything. Your knees give out from the pain and you drop, collapsing to the ground as the fire continues cooking you. But then, all of a sudden the flames simply END. The raging inferno simply vanishes, leaving you on the unmarked ground beside Leyas. He looks in terrible shape, skin cooked black and crispy by the flames. Then as you lay there, unable to move from the shock, a familiar looking shape steps over to you. “Hang on Daddy, I'll fix you right up. Triumph, heal Leyas.”

“KIIIIIIIII!” you hear what sounds like a bird call as you lose consciousness, the darkness taking you. Everything goes black, the world vanishing from around you as you start drifting through a lightless void. But you aren't alone, a familiar woman floating before you on her god-slaying spear.
“Well now, that was rather unfortunate.” Towa tells you, the demoness looking a bit worried. “Luckily for you Caulifla's immune to the effects of both normal and supernatural fires, completely negating Fire & Desire's offense and allowing her to cut that Stand down with ease.”

“I thought it was a Stand.” you say, looking down at your hand. It looks perfectly fine, not like the charcoal Leyas had been before you lost consciousness. But as you look back up Towa's brows are furrowed, a slight frown on her face. “Everything okay Towa?”
“No. You nearly died to such a simple ambush.” she says, voice taking on a scolding tone. “What would you have done if Caulifla hadn't been there?”
“I guess I would have gotten cooked.” you say with a shrug, floating over and giving the demon princess a hug. “But everything worked out.”
“Everything is NOT working out!” she shouts, burying her face into your chest as you feel her body trembling. “You're in so much danger and you don't even realize it.”
“What's wrong?” you ask her, concerned. “Towa, what's going on?”
“Your entire timeline is in serious danger.” she says, pulling her face back and looking you dead in the eyes. “Majin Buu is about to be released!”

"We've got to move. This was all a setup!" you say, pushing yourself upright. Caulifla offers you her hand, you take it and letting your daughter help get you back on your feet.
"Karn, what are you talking about?" Meloka asks worriedly. "What happened?”
“It's Freeza. Towa just told me-” you start, when suddenly King Cold, Cooler, and Arctus all appear beside you.
“He's not here.” King Cold says angrily, his face a mask of rage. “This entire thing was a trap, Babidi's long gone.”
“What do you mean long gone?” King Vegeta asks him. “Where is he?”

“I don't KNOW!” King Cold bellows, turning and firing a densely-compacted orb of energy through the wall. It smashes through the reinforced metal walls instead of exploding on contact, punching through several as it keeps going deeper and deeper. “That bastard got away AGAIN! Son of a bitch, I knew that-!”

As he rants you focus, reaching out telepathically to Freeza to see if he's okay.

“Lord Freeza, can you hear me?” you think to him, feeling his mind barely connect. But it's as if something's between you and him, muffling you. But he hears you, replying faintly.
“Karn, hurry.” he replies, you can feel his pain and despair through the mental link. “Here. Babidi's he-”

But then his voice is silenced in your head, and another one addresses you. It takes you a second to place the 'voice', but it sounds like the little bastard had when you met him in person.

“You're far too late, monkey. Your 'Lord' Freeza is now mine.” Babidi tells you, you feeling the color leaving your face. “And with his power under my control, Majin Buu's awakening will not be stopped! There is nothing you can do now, muhahahahahahahaa!”

Then the link ends, leaving you shaken.

“Karn, what happened?” King Vegeta asks, he, Cenoria, Caulifla, Broly, and Meloka are all looking at you worriedly. “Are you okay?”
“I know where Babidi is.” you say, King Cold immediately rushing over. He grabs you by the melted scraps of your armor, lifting and slamming you into the wall with a fury you've never seen from him.

“WHERE!?” King Cold bellows, his expression absolutely murderous. “WHERE IS HE?!”

“Planet Namek.” you say, King Cold immediately letting you go and blasting straight through the ceiling. He takes off at full speed, you sensing his massive ki already leaving the planet's atmosphere and then exiting your range. But the uproar has just begun.
“Namek?! The planet my brother is at?” Cooler asks, his eyes wide with worry. “Don't tell me...”
“I lost contact with Lord Freeza.” you say, explaining what just happened to everyone. “He's been taken over by Babidi.”
“Then what are we waiting for? We need to go, now!” Arctus demands, reaching over and placing his hand on Cooler's shoulder. “Before that bastard can awaken Majin Buu.”

“Hold on. We need a plan.” King Vegeta says seriously. “We can't seriously expect to defeat Freeza. Not if Babidi's empowered him like he empowered you, Cooler.”
“Lord Cooler.” the indignant alien replies, but then relents slightly. “But I see your point. Too many weaklings will only get in the way, giving him easy targets to possess. Plus these vermin need to be exterminated as well.”
“So, how're we gonna split up?” Sarada asks, looking nervous. “Who's staying here, and who is going to Namek?”

They need Stand Users more than we do...hopefully. Also Majin Frieza would instantly gank Caulifla. Besides, all of the adults in that group have more than enough experience wiping out pests.
As for the Namek crew, these are our heaviest hitters and arguably the least susceptible to Babidi's mind control.
Also where's Bardock?

Praying that Kek will be merciful

I get the feeling that if Buu is released, there'll be some bullshit that makes him even MORE dangerous, and it has a fine set of bs as is. We killed Trigon years ago, who was stronger than Dabura who was on par with canon Perfect Cell and we've gotten MUCH stronger since. But this timeline is all sorts of fucky. Maybe Buu absorbed stronger victims or got more energy than required than in canon and is scaled higher, or maybe he's not even in the fat and doughy form and just emerges as super buu or worse kid buu. And what about enemy Towas?! I am very frightened and unsure if DDF can seal the deal if the worst comes to pass.
>>
Chilli and Bardock aren't listed for a reason, but good on you all for noticing. Where they go isn't a choice you can make, same with Arctus and Cooler.

“Caulifla, you and Cenoria stay here.” you tell your daughter. “Leyas and Sarada, you two protect them. Between the four of you, everything should be manageable.”
“What about you?” Caulifla asks, clearly worried from what just happened to you. “Are you sure?”
"I'm going after father, then I'll teleport him directly to Planet Namek." Cooler says, raising his right hand to his forehead. Arctus keeps his grip on his cousin, the two vanishing completely.
“I'm going.” Bardock says seriously. “Look, you're gonna need power to fight Lord Freeza. And there's nothing here strong enough to fight Leyas and Sarada, much less the power of a Primal Saiyan.”

“I agree.” King Vegeta says, then turns to his queen Cenoria and flies up to her head level. “I'll leave you in charge of this mission, my queen. Everyone's in your hands, are you ready?”
“I will do everything in my power.” she says seriously, despite the small blush on her cheeks. “I will not fail you.”
“Don't worry, we'll keep her safe for you your highness.” Tunnip says, leaning against Cenoria. “Go and get Freeza back from that bastard.”
“We will.” you say, then turn to your oldest sons. Your firstborn and adopted sons, complete opposites both look to you expectantly. “I need both of you along as well. Chilli, we'll need you to counter Babidi's magics. Broly, protect your brother. If he goes down, there's no telling what sort of magical bullshit Babidi will pull.”
“Yes sir!” both sons shout, giving you proper Saiyan salutes with their weapons in hand. “We won't fail!”

“Everyone hold on. Next stop, Planet Namek.” you say, closing your eyes as you raise your right hand to your forehead. But as you try reaching out to Freeza telepathically again to get a lock on his ki, you realize that whatever Babidi did is preventing you from reaching him. So you'll need another target. But who was with-The Ginyu Force! So you reach out, connecting your mind to the one member you know will survive, no matter what. “Guldo, can you hear me? It's me, Karn! We're on our way!”
“Karn? No, stay away! Lord Freeza has been mind controlled!” he telepathically shouts, worry flooding the link. “You can't stop him!”

As he protests you showing up you focus on his ki, then with an effort of will activate your Instant Transmission once more. Everyone's brought along with you that you'd planned to bring, the world changing as you take your first step onto the home world of the mystical Dragon Balls. You appear right next to Guldo, who you immediately see is in terrible shape. He looks as if Freeza had been using him for target practice, dozens of holes in his torso, arms, and legs. And he's not the only one, scattered at your feet are the other members of the Ginyu force as well. Each one in better shape than Guldo, but not by much. This is bad.

“Guldo!” you shout, clenching your fists as you sense an even greater power before you. Standing a few dozen yards away, radiating with golden power is your longtime friend and emperor of the universe, Golden Freeza. He stands proudly before you all as if showing off what he'd done, arms spread wide with the very familiar “M” emblazoned on his head. “Freeza! How could you?!”

“And now the man of the hour arrives.” Freeza declares, grinning maliciously directly at you. “And you brought all the usual suspects with you. It will be so much fun BREAKING you all, having you beg for mercy at my feet.”
“Meloka, gather the Ginyu force and take them back immediately. Have your daughter heal them back up.” King Vegeta orders, stepping forward between Freeza and you all and loosing his golden aura which blazes around him. “Karn, Bardock, with me. We'll handle Freeza. The rest of you, you know what we're here to do.”
“OOOOHOOHOOHOOHOO!” Freeza laughs, bringing his right hand to his mouth. “Handle me? The king weaker than at least two of his subjects thinks he can best ME? Your sense of humor is as lackluster as your power. Get out of my face.”

Freeza then draws his right hand up, pointing a Death Beam at Vegeta. But right as Freeza fires, King Vegeta's energy condenses tight around him, forming his own Energy Body. The emperor's beams pierce straight through the shield, striking your friend. But despite taking the hit, he remains standing.

“Oh? Seems you have been taking after Karn after all.” Freeza says, grinning as he retakes his open fighting stance. “Looks like this may be more fun than I'd initially expected. Ready yourselves, because here I come!”

What do you do now?
>Rush and attack, rely on your Energy Body to tank his hits
>Rush and attack with Su Ma, try and avoid his counterattacks
>Defend, try and withstand the overwhelming power of Golden Freeza
>Keep your distance, unleash your energy attacks to keep him on the defensive so he can't attack with his overwhelming might

This isn't good. Unlike his brother, Frieza isn't bitch made in the power department. If we keep defending against his somewhat perfected golden form, he'll wear US out and give Majin Buu the power to awaken. We'll need to stay alive on the ground until we find an opening and end this battle as soon as possible.

What's the one thing the strongest can never have?
Glory. What little is left to accomplish is so trivial as to be pointless.
Frieza has a solution to this however, but the idea of pursuing it was...bothersome.
Who's the only person left who can truly challenge him? Who's the only person who could oppose such overwhelming power?
Karn. His true rival and only friend in this Universe.
He's been waiting for Karn to come to grips with his newfound power so he could finally give it his all without having to worry about killing his only friend.
It's not hard to imagine that Babidi simply asked him "Why wait?".

"I'm the one you want!" you shout, drawing both weapons from your back as you kick off the ground, directly at him. "Fight ME, Freeza!"
"Hmph. You're not ready to face me yet, Karn." he says, casually pointing at you and firing his Death Beam for your heart. You try dodging aside to your right, but the beam still hits you. It lands right in your left bicep, piercing through your Energy Body and deep into the muscle. Immediately you lose all feeling in your left arm, dropping the Gravity Hammer as you lose all the strength in your left arm. But before he can fire again you've closed the distance, thrusting the Wolf Knight sword straight at his throat. But as your sword strikes, Freeza lifts his hand up, deflecting the blade aside with a single finger. He then draws his left fist back, readying himself to punch you square in the guts. But before he can, Bardock dashes out around the two of you, firing off a powerful orb of energy directly at the emperor. He then reaches out with his left hand, catching the orb aimed at him and swinging it at you.

“GYAH!” you cry out as Bardock's energy crashes against your Energy Body, burning you through it and sending you flying backwards. Curling up in a ball you flip backwards, landing on your feet and immediately blasting back at him. As you do, you see Bardock firing a powerful azure beam from one side, a violet beam firing from Vegeta's hands from the other. Yet Freeza doesn't seem to be particularly bothered, as you close back in you see he's actually holding BOTH back with a single finger each. But as he's taunting King Vegeta, he doesn't see you coming until the last second, swinging soundlessly for his shoulder.
“Dammit!” he exclaims, tail shooting up over his shoulder and intercepting your blade just before impact. Yet even with your full power swinging down directly at him, his golden form is so far beyond that your enchanted blade doesn't seem to harm him. “Hmph. Not bad, Karn. But you're still not taking me SERIOUSLY!”

As Freeza shouts he emits a shock wave, his energy alone blasting you and both of the Primal Saiyans' beams away from him. Bardock and Vegeta narrowly dodge their own beams as you're sent tumbling through the air, when your backward progress is suddenly halted. Freeza catches your sword, tearing it from your grip and kicking you straight down to the ground. You hit with a thud, ears ringing as you look up at him. But as he floats down, you notice something: blood. A few drops fall down towards you from the emperor's tail, you realize that your blade actually cut him! If you can get it back, you can hurt him enough for Chilli to stop him!

“This pitiful toy isn't enough to take me down. I want you to stop playing around, Karn, and come at me with your TRUE power. The strength you showed against that brainless mercenary on his way.” he declares, hefting the ancient blade over his head. But then, to your and everyone else's surprise, a chain flies down, wrapping around the ancient sword's blade. You all turn back towards the chain's source, and you feel your stomach drop. Not HIM too!

“I'm back ya bastiches!” the 'Main Man' Lobo declares, then with a yank pulls the blade from Freeza's hand. The sword flies up to him, the pale-skinned alien catching it in his free hand as he stands upon his floating bike. “Thought you could get rid of me so easily? Now, which one of you assholes should I gut first?”
“Oh, perfect timing, neanderthal.” Freeza says, eyes narrowing as he glares at the alien mercenary. “You'll do nicely.”
“Eh? The hell're you on about, shrimp?” Lobo asks, you watching as a figure you've never seen before starts materializing behind your friend. It is a humanoid figure who's facial features are cloaked in shadow, wearing a dark suit of what seems to be abyssal black. But it has distinct glowing sun-red eyes beneath the wide-brimmed hat, the figure looking over Freeza's shoulder up at the mercenary. Who doesn't seem to notice the figure, hell neither do Vegeta and Bardock. So that must mean this thing is Freeza's Stand.

“Ballroom Blitz, do your thing.” Freeza says, turning to you and giving you a smile.
“EVERYONE ATTACK!” his Stand says, voice booming as a wave of red light exploding out from it in a sphere. It's too fast to evade, and as the wave strikes you your vision goes red. Your wrath surges, you hearing everyone else fighting Freeza roaring in fury as well. The wrath threatens to overtake your reason completely, your body wanting nothing more to rampage wildly and smash your fists into whatever moves.

While we wait for the next update, I'm going to post what I think happened that lead to the horrible series of events that have transpired in our wake. Spoilered just in case:

I strongly believe that Babidi's plan revolves around using Lobo as bait. He lacks the majin symbol, yet is here at the most inconvenient time, in the middle of Planet "bumfuck nowhere" Namek. When Frieza's escapade to Namek leaked thanks to Remnant insiders that Babidi is a part of, he possibly passed on an anonymous tip to Lobo about Frieza's current location. When the two of them met and fought, it gave Babidi the perfect window to seize Frieza's mind while the Remnants got us in a wild goose chase on Planet Hoven. Lobo is one of the few beings alive that can stand to Frieza's power and has some sort of negative emotional effect on him, which might've made it easier for Babidi to do his bullshit with the Emperor of the Universe distracted with his grudge match. And when he found what the opening for Frieza's mind was, it lined up perfectly for whats happening next.

All Frieza wants is for us to fight him with our full power, consequences be damned, and he KNOWS how to make someone angry over the edge. Again, Lobo is here as bait to rile US up back into that form again, where we then duke it out in our highest possible form at this time against the emperor, giving our friend the fight he wants and the fight that Babidi needs to awaken Majin Buu. Frieza's stand is only pushing along our rage button into Beserker 3. And if that doesn't work, we have our allies over here as emotional fodder. This is another reason why bringing Caulifla would be a bad idea, she'd be prime rage bait. My main takeaway is that ascending into Beserker 3 right now is the "catapult into Buu Saga" button. Broly and Chili need to get the FUCK OUT OF THE WAY RIGHT FUCKING NOW

But as the unknown rage courses through your body, instead you take a deep, calming breath and sigh out, suppressing that unnatural rage. It is surprisingly potent, but you hadn't spent all that time training your focus with your son Broly to be subdued by a rage lesser than your own! You won't be driven to madness by his Stand. But, hearing everyone else roaring out in rage gives you an idea. Freeza may be too strong for you to even scratch like this, but his Stand is not. You've yet to meet a Stand strong enough to match yours in raw power, this is your chance! But you'll have to do it right!

“Oh? You're not affected by the Ballroom Blitz?” Freeza asks, your blood running cold as he turns his gaze upon you. “Well, I should have expected no less from you. Now the mindless hordes can fight their little hearts away without interrupting us, while I finally get what I want.”

He starts walking towards you, his Stand floating behind his right shoulder. Which is a problem for you, as Divine Dragon Force is connected to your right arm. You'll have to get a good angle on him to even get a chance at attacking, and can't reveal your plan until the last second else he'll stop you. You'll only get one chance at this.

“Why are you doing this?” you ask, matching his pace as you begin walking towards him. “How could you fall to Babidi's control? I thought you were stronger than that.”
“It was not a matter of strength, but a realization and realignment of my priorities.” Freeza says, sauntering forward cockily. “Ruling the universe, maintaining the empire, none of that means anything. What I want is YOU! I wanted to fight you again, to see your strength mastered so you could push me once more. I cannot reach any further heights on my own, I needed you to get stronger so I can continue to grow stronger as well. So stop holding back already, and use your full might! Use the strength you showed against that barbarian Lobo, and fight me with your full strength!”
“I don't know how to use it yet.” you reply, the distance between the two of you rapidly shrinking. “But that's not important right now. Once we beat that bastard Babidi we can-”

“I DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT WORTHLESS WIZARD!!” Freeza bellows, aura blazing and nearly knocking you over mid-step. “SCREW THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYONE ELSE IN IT, I DON'T CARE! THEY CAN ALL FUCK OFF AND DIE!”

Then before you find your footing he's closed the distance, slamming his elbow into your nose through your Energy Body. Your nose crunches, the heavy blow knocking you down onto your back and sending you sliding across the ground for dozens of feet before you roll backwards, getting your feet back under you. But as you do, suddenly Freeza's right in front of you!

“GET MAD!” he roars, slamming a fist into your guts that, despite your Energy Body, knocks the wind from your lungs and drops you, clutching yourself.
“Guh-!” you exclaim as your breath is taken, dropping to your knees despite trying your best to remain standing. He then reaches down, grabs you by the hair and brings your face up to his. Which just shows the height difference between you, even on your knees your head is still above him if you were upright.
“I'm getting annoyed, Karn. Stop wasting my time and transform already!” he says, driving his knee into your chest. You feel one of your ribs give, snapping from the force despite your Energy Body still doing its best to shield you. “Why are you being so damned hesitant now? Get mad and show me-!”

KABOOOOOOM

Suddenly a meteor crashes into the ground behind Freeza, the shock wave exploding out and launching a cloud of dust from the point of impact. Your friend is distracted by this, turning both his and his Stand's gazes from you and looking at what landed. Giving you your moment to strike!

“Go!” you wheeze, Divine Dragon Force exploding out of your right arm and lunging for his Stand. Before Freeza realizes what's going on your Stand rushes, closing the gap near-instantly. But his Stand notices, stepping back right as your Stand bares its fangs at his chest. Ballroom Blitz turns, narrowly avoiding your stand piercing its guts. Divine Dragon Force's fangs cut into the Stand's chest, drawing blood from both it and Freeza simultaneously!
“What?!” Freeza exclaims as he feels it, turning and seeing what's happening. He then whirls around, grabbing Divine Dragon Force by the neck and throws both it and you away. You're sent tumbling uncontrollably through the air for several seconds, you finally catching your wind and reorienting yourself just in time for another powerful shock wave blast out, clearing all the dust away to reveal what crashed to Namek was King Cold! “Oh, it's you. Babidi's that way, don't get in my way.”

“Freeza, you cannot let that monster control you.” King Cold says, a note of compassion you've never heard in his voice before as he addresses his son. “Let me free you from his influence, then we can get back to the important business of stopping Majin Buu.”
“You go, that weakling is of no concern to me.” Freeza says, turning his back on his father and returning his gaze to you. “I have more important business to attend to.”
“Freeza, that's enough!” King Cold says, his more authoritative tone returning as he reaches out, grabbing his son's shoulder. But that was a mistake, as Cold would soon realize.

>>
>>5428630
“Go AWAY!” Freeza snarls, whirling on his father and driving his fist THROUGH him! His fist punches a hole straight through him, blood spraying from Cold's mouth and chest as Freeza draws his fist back out. “Your hunt for Babidi doesn't concern me, deal with him yourself.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNW9lmujZxU

“Freeza! W-Why?” Cold asks, dropping to his knees in shock at his son's actions. “M-My own son...”
“I've had enough of your fear mongering. I have seen the depths of Majin Buu's power, and he's nothing compared to what I am now.” Freeza declares as you rush forward again towards his Stand. But this time you don't catch him by surprise, the emperor whirling around at the last second and actually catches Divine Dragon Force, clamping his hand around your Stand's mouth and preventing it from opening. “Nice try, Karn. But until you start taking this more seriously, I'm going to start hurting you. Starting with him.”

You then watch in horror as Freeza points a finger at Broly, your son shielding your oldest son Chilli from a disintegrating Lobo's heavy hook chain.

“Don't you do it Freeza. We're friends, but if you hurt my son.” you say, voice cracking a bit as your own fear leaks through. “I will never forgive you.”

Your words stop him, eyes widening for a moment. But then the Majin emblem emblazoned on his head starts glowing red, and his malicious smirk returns.

“What's one son, when you can make another?” he replies, and fires.
“BROLY!!” you shout out in desperation, but you know there's nothing you can do. Your son is- huh? Suddenly, right as Freeza's attack would have hit, Broly and Chilli are simply GONE. “What?”
“Oh? Looks like Guldo at least survived.” Freeza says with a smirk. “As impressive as ever. But there's no way he can stop this. Ballroom Blitz, release the others and focus only on my general here.”

You watch powerlessly as this time the red wave of light seemingly recedes back into his Stand, its glowing red eyes locking onto yours. Then everything goes red, you feeling unstoppable rage rising up from within. There's no way you can stop this rising anger now.

Anger. Wrath. Rage. Fury. These words are insufficient to convey what's coursing through your entire soul now, pain blooming from within your mind as you try resisting. But it's no use. Like trying to hold back a tsunami with your bare hands, the pure emotion surges through your mental defenses and inundates your body with this incalculable weight. Everything disappears, consumed by the rising surge of raw emotion in you. It lights your insides aflame, the burning desire to crush Freeza for DARING to attack one of your kids after everything you've been through pushing your body to the breaking point. And, pushed to the limits by the pressure, something deep within you snaps.

“GRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, as POWER surges up from within you the instant that inner dam breaks. Strength like nothing you've ever felt, even greater than the might you displayed against that Lobo surges up from the depths of your heart. How DARE Freeza betray you like this! You're going to make him PAY! “RRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!”

Your emerald power explodes out of your body, your flesh unable to contain this monstrous power and you feel it begin tearing at the seams. Yet you feel no pain, the surging anger the only thing real to you. That, and the man you'd thought a friend standing before you with a smug grin on his face.

“Yes, that's it! That's what I've been waiting for!” Freeza shouts, but just looking at his traitorous face makes your blood boil. You called him a friend for years, and he does this?! He's a dead man.

“HRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, anger and strength rising in tandem as the ground beneath you shatters, reality distorting around you and colors shifting as your might is surges far beyond what you've ever felt. You keep drawing it out, you're going to make this bastard SUFFER! He'll BEG you for death for what he did!

”RRRAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAA!!”

And after throwing your head back with that final, blood-curdling scream, your voice cracking halfway through from the pain, it's over. Your transformation into vengeance incarnate is done, all that is left now is breaking him. Lowering your head from the sky down, you see the dead man grinning stupidly.

“Yes, THIS is what I wanted!” he says arrogantly. “THIS is-!”
“GRRAAAAAAA!!” you roar, blitzing forward and driving your massive fist square into his stupid face.

Your punch sends the golden moron flying, Freeza tumbling uncontrollably through the air. You immediately kick off the ground, dashing to him and closing the distance instantly. Before he can react you drive your knee up into his spine.

“Gah-!?” Freeza exclaims, but before he can do anything else you lace your fingers together and smash his stupid, arrogant, traitorous face in with your fists and send him crashing down into the waves below. “GYAAAH!”

He disappears with a splash, you remaining in the air looking down upon where he disappeared while your body trembles with barely-restrained power. Pointing your left palm down at him, you begin gathering an orb of ki into you hand. As your power gathers reality again distorts around you, colors shifting as the ball grows to half the size of your closed fist before you toss it down after him with a backhand. The tightly-packed orb drops down, but right before it hits the waves it expands to its full size, becoming the size of the Lucrehulk's center structure and dropping down onto Freeza. You feel the massive orb crash into him, Freeza slowing then stopping the massive blast. So you clench your fist, detonating the massive attack.

KABOOOOOOOOOOM

The giant planet-bursting orb unleashing a tremendous fiery blast. The sea vanishes, instantly evaporated by the explosion as you change the landscape of this worthless world. But you can feel Freeza is still alive beneath that cloud of smoke, then suddenly after a few seconds his golden aura blazes up and through it as he dashes right back towards you.

“HAAAAAA!!” he shouts, swinging a heavy right for your jaw. As he does you swing up towards his guts with a left uppercut, your punches landing at the same time. You punch his ENTIRE chest as his fist crashes against your cheek. You both are blown away from each other, his punch launching you backwards while your blow launches him straight up into the sky. Your punch sends him flying far further than he sent you, allowing you to regain control and blitz back after him before he's even recovered. The instant he does you've closed the distance, Freeza blocking with his crossed arms right as you smash your mighty fist into his guard. But somehow he withstands it, remaining there without being blown away. Which causes a grin to come to your face, you swinging over and over and over again into his guard.

“RRRAAAAA! GRRRAAAAA! HAAAAAAAA!” you roar, throwing world-shattering punch after world-shattering punch into his guard. Each heavy blow rocks him, your time spent training Djem So translating into your strikes as you rock his guard from side to side, pushing his defenses to their limit. Then you fire off a powerful right uppercut, catching his guard and throwing his arms up to leave his entire body exposed!

“DIE!!” you roar, driving your right heel square into his guts and launching Freeza away.
“Gyuuuuuh!” he cries out in pain, you drawing your left hand back and pitching another powerful blast directly at his rapidly-retreating form. Before Freeza recovers your attack strikes true, exploding in another fiery, world-breaking blast. The shock wave crashes against your massive form, wind buffeting you as you watch to see what happened. For several seconds the smoke obstructs your view, then you hear him roar. “SHYAAAAAAAAA!!”

Golden Freeza's golden aura blazes, blasting the smoke away as his energy climbs, clenching his fists. You see a thin trickle of blood from his mouth going down to his chin, the emperor smirking at you.

“Yes, this is it! THIS is what I've wanted!” he shouts, aura blazing even higher as his strength suddenly multiplies several times over. “This is the fight I've been looking for! Don't hold anything back, show me what you can do!”
“GRRRAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, emerald aura blazing as you charge forward. Freeza blitzes towards you as well, your right fists smashing square into each others'. Reality distorts around the point of impact, you seeing what look to be cracks form in the air right around your fists. But they repair themselves almost instantly, you both drawing your fists back and switching to lefts. Again your fists collide, the two of you swinging at each other over and over as you both try and overpower each other. “RRRRRAAAAAAA!!”
“SHHHYYAAAAAAA!!” Freeza roars, faking you out and driving his fist into your face as your knee crashes into his entire chest. Again your dual strikes blast each other back and away, you both stopping your backwards flight and glaring at each other. But his expression is still happy for some reason, even though you're beating his ass. “More, MORE! Show me everything this form of yours can do! Screw Lord Beerus, I shall get the honor of seeing this power fully realized firsthand!”

But as he talks, suddenly another voice appears directly in your mind. It sounds small, scared, but most importantly of all familiar.

“Daddy, please. I need you.” a child, no, YOUR child's voice suddenly appears in your head, cutting right through all the rage and anger to strike your soul. “I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Please, help me.”
“Chaya.” you say, realization dawning as everything changes. Suddenly the fog in your mind is just gone, and with it your senses return. But most troubling of all is a new, sickening, bottomless well of strength unlike anything you've ever felt before. Which can only mean one thing:

Majin Buu has awakened.

I had never got grabbed when I fought him because I was being a dexfag on my first run. I went and watched some other people play and saw them get the pro-wrestling treatment and it was the most glorious thing I ever saw. For me he is one of the easier bosses but that was after bashing my skull in against Melania for a few days. He is still one of if not the most fun fights in the game. And he has a baller ass soundtrack.

>You were late before you even arrived on this world
Kind of par the course when they hold the hourglass, eh? I wonder if we can tell Frieza to stop being a douche because the outsiders are going to butt in forever and he'll never get his fight if we don't deal with them. Also dammit Towa, if only she would have said this was a trap first and where it was second. But it's not her fault. What a pain in the ass.
