The Story So Far...
Episode 1: The Cherrim Cozener

This Cherrim came and hired us to track down a thief and bring them to justice. We did, by beating the shit out of them and taking everything they had on them. Strangely, the Pokémon did not fight or run away like most thieves, only begging for mercy and denying they committed a crime. When we went back to Cherrim for payment, she let it slip that the Pokemon we beat on was no thief, but a member of her former village; Everything suddenly clicked into place. After a short grilling (literally), she revealed this Pokémon moved into HER house after she was kicked out by the villagers because of her sub-par Machiavellianism. She wanted revenge.

The guild has "recruited" Cherrim as a semi-willing captive to keep her from calling the fuzz. Now the guild must decide what to do about the situation. Should the Guild turn Cherrim in to the village authorities and attempt to explain the situation, smoothing over their assault on an innocent Pokémon? Or should Lost Hope embrace the infamy of being a cutthroat "imposter guild"?

Damage = (Attack Power x Level)/D10
These are the calculations for combat. Each player's turn should take no longer than 3 minutes. There WILL be a timer, folks.

1 = miss/critical hit. Roll a 1d2. If it's a 1 again, critical hit. If it's a 2, miss.

Lopunny is writing the first decision now.

Given how many of you conceded, there really weren't enough pokemon to deny them anymore. Bind, Sable, Crimson, and Vee are separated from LK, Pinc, weatherboy, and Lum to be interrogated by three magnemite per party. You explain your misadventures to them, and they believe you (minus the grilling, despite Chrem's confirmation) But...
"We gretaly apprectiate your cooperation and compliance. However, your crimeZZZ are serious and ignorance does not excuse what happened to those grimer. If you would come with uZZZ, we will see how lightly you can afford to be sentenced... ZZZTTT!

All of you are detained and let to an underground cell block, noticeably snaking far away from under the rest of town. You're left in 4 cells;

>Lum and Vee
Chrem mutters something about you throwing your lives away and the serious authority of guilds, but like, it's Chrem.

Your frustration at this whole ordeal shows as the hall is littered in a sea of battle ready absol, your supernatural senses filling the room, enough to give a limited control over it! +25% evasion chance, and you pick one 'unlucky spot' in the room to help you or hinder the cops. The tnnel to the surface is about 1/3 of the way complete with both of you digging.

>>
>>5123519
I'll take the mention of necropost to inform any newbies that qst is an atypical board, in the sense that it is much slower. Threads stop bumping after 72 hours, yes, but they tend to last 30 to 45 days.
No need to go around making a new thread every session like on /tg/ please. It's useless, everyone here has the catalog on last reply anyway, and since one anon can only have 3 threads up at any point, a pretty good way for the QM (quest master) to block himself from making new threads here for an entire month.
I'm posting this because we've had the case recently.
In any case, welcome to /qst/, people. It may be slow, but the few regulars here find it cozy.
Any other questions can be redirected on the /qtg/ thread. It's full of autists, but it's the best way we've got of doing this.

(Read this in the Pokémon Anime Narrator voice)
It's a beautiful new day for the Lost Hope Guild. The Swallow are singing, the sun is shining, and The Buzz has stopped putting out search parties. After a little deliberation, the guild has unanimously decided to use such a wonderful day as an excuse to add graverobbing to their rap sheets! "We'll loot the ruins we found in the woods and be rich!", the whole guild cried! No more eggs and apples for them, no sir, tonight they'd dine like kings! Together, they set out toward the ruins and the dense redwood forest surrounding it.

As they walked along the road to their destination, the guild's eyes collectively bugged out in surprise (especially those of the bug Pokémon!). There, walking down the road straight toward them, was Chrem the Cherrim! That same blossom pokémon that had turned them into criminals, being escorted by two very powerful-looking Pokémon! After hiding in bushes along the road, the guild watched Cherrim and her beefy escorts turn at the intersection towards the same woods THEY were going to! Oh, what will the Guild do!

Will they
>intervene immediately?
Will they
>sneakily follow her?
Or, will they
>ignore the perfidious petal-demon and get on with their day?

"NEW MOURNERS!"
Spiritomb's obligatory carpet and wares pop out of its Odd Keystone it's bound to. They're all the same- a strange-looking treasure box.

REEEEEEEEWINDING....

Bisharp #1 kicks the ghost Pokémon up the road, where it skips and hops straight into Sableye's mouth as he raises his head up out of his tunnel.

Sableye: "BLEUGH, ACH, COOF COOF COOF"

With an ectoplasmic whoosh, the ghost Pokémon leaves its rock and comes out of Sableye's mouth.

A quiet rustling appears from behind the bushes, though whatever caused it can't be seen. Though moments after a beige blur crosses the bisharps peripheral vision, stopping very briefly to to pic related in front of them, the continuing his zoomies, drawing their attention away from the keystone

The guild has successfully obtained the Odd Keystone while using Furret as a distraction. Chrem and co. are marching onwards further into the Redwoods.

The guild follows them, making sure to stay hidden as best they can. Citrine DEMANDED to hold the rock, so he has the rock now. The rock is quite chatty, and often offers human relics and artifacts, among other things.

As Spiritomb and interested buyers walk and chat and haggle, the more invested gangstalkers continue following Chrem and her Bisharp bodyguards all the way to the human ruins they'd seen when they first came here.

In the midst of the battle, Team Disaster and the straggling newbies find their way inside the ruins... Giving it a closer inspection, it looks like an old human fort, weathered and torn but still recognizable. There's a large central courtyard with a well, a large brick building mostly intact save for a collapsed roof, and a doorway into the walls of the ruins. Team Disaster and the newbs decide the well is the best place to go treasure hunting. They all climb down into not just a well, but an entire pipeline and sewage system. Long disused, they travel the twisting tunnels, lit only by their respective abilities.

With treasure in tow, Team Disaster triumphantly returned to the surface! On the way back they re-met the rest of the guild, and together rested their weary bones inside a large brick house, the last-standing building of the ruin. It looks like it was once an armory of some sort, though now it lays mostly bare. There are a handful of old human military uniforms, some expired ammo, a singular rusted handgun of unknown make and model, and a guidon pole with no flag.

In the basement is a jail, where you decide to lock your defeated adversaries. As you all settle in on the first floor for a well-deserved rest, there's a sudden knock at the door? Who could it be?

Jeffurchin: Em, hello? Would you open up, gentlemen! It's me, Jeffurchin!

(Everyone then realized they'd left Jeffurchin at home. One pokémon runs to the door, and opens it to see Jeffurchin holding a rough-hewn flag, based on the flag discussion they'd had the other day)

Jeffurchin: Hope I didn't miss too much. How was the dungeoneering?

Well, if we're doing a peaceful interrogation, it's best if we split all three of them up and place them into separate rooms. Then we begin asking questions that are purposefully incorrect to see and gauge their reactions. They may even spill information accidentally correcting us. If we make no progress, we send in the psychic types for a bit more of an aggressive action. However, if we play our cards right, we should remain relatively peaceful.

Escavalier is the bad cop looking intimidating af despite being level 5

The good cop/bad cop plan decided on, Vee and Escavalier walk down into the basement. As soon as the basement door opens Chrem immediately stops crying and puts forth a face of perfect stoicism. The Bisharps in the cell with her eye the guildies warily, sizing them up. Ironquill is in the cell adjacent to them, pretending to be asleep in an almost-convincing way, save for him temporarily opening his eye to look at the guildies walking in.

It's Escavalier's turn to go first. Everyone roll a 1d100 to give him your energy. Escavalier, don't roll. Roleplay. Say what you're going to say to Chrem and the Bisharps. Do your best!

Callisto: And do what? Get beaten senseless again by their entire mob upstairs? We've been over this. (to Escavalier) We'll talk. But first, who are YOU? What is your group of goons doing in these woods?

Chrem, her facade breaking down: C-callisto, are we really gonna talk to them? They were the ones who attacked me and brought me to the police in the first place!

Callisto: I know, Miss Chrem. Let me handle this. (to Escavalier) WHO. ARE. YOU?

Everyone above the basement is getting bored. So, they decide now's a perfect time to adventure! There's only one area of the ruins left to explore, the interior of the walls.
The whole gang squeezes in through a narrow entrance, using torches lit by Crimson to see. The guild entered at the middle of the west side.

Which way do you go?

Callisto The Bisharp: My name, as you've heard, is Callisto. We're strong because we have trained hard for it, and fought many battles.

Ermanno: Like kick Eevee ass, we knocked your ass out yesterday!

Chrem: ...Ermanno, do you have a concsusion? Vee is the one who kicked YOUR ass.

Ermanno: ...Oh. Right.

Callisto, rolling his eyes: You're dodging my question, Vee. When I say who are you, I mean your group, not you as an individual.

We are but a group of people, concerned about the fact that that traitorous Cherrim has gotten away with perfidy without punishment.

The explorers have decided to go north! And so they march, into the deep concrete and cobble recesses of the walls. Strangely, the walls seem to go on much farther in the inside than the outside. And it's getting colder... Much colder. So cold in fact that some Pokémon have begun to shiver. What's going on?

Suddenly, a loud wail rings out and echoes along the walls! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOm-samMYMQ Out of the cold, inky blackness, the cries multiply, crying and crying, getting louder and louder, closer and closer. Wat does the guild do?

Callisto: So you're a guild of Pokémon that think you were once human? Hmm. (looks to Chrem) I'm sorry I ever doubted you, signorina.

Chrem: I told you. Glad you believe me now, at least.

Callisto: You have told me who you are, so now I will tell you who we are. (Callisto looks to his brother)

Ermanno & Callisto pose together, arm blades extended outward in a salute:
WE ARE THE BISHARP BROTHERS, LOYAL GENERALS OF KING SLOW'S ROYAL ARMY!

Chrem jumps up and strikes her own pose: And I'm Chrem, Arceus-daughter of the King! That's right!

To all Team Leaders, these Cryogonals are all level 2. There are 22 of them. Choose the amount your team will fight, and then act as the enemy pokémon. This means doing moves, HP, etc. You will also act as yourselves. Since you stood your ground, players attack first.
