Last time, you lost your cheese, infiltrated an innocuous Garden shop, posed as a ghost, gained a loyal minion, and learned the Store owner’s tragic past. Now you need to deal with the aftermath of being told such saddening events.“…After all these years, I’ll find my son! But now, a stupid ghost is going to ruin everything…” Chewnette spills her vitriol against you after the ending of her sorrowful story. “I just… it’s… You can do whatever you want to me. I just need some time. I’m so close. Just so close…”“…” Yareli is moving your hand, she wants you to answer Chewnette immediately.“I’ll do whatever it takes.” Chewnette makes her way to the box and grabs it.“Don’t make hefty promises now.” Ronda doesn’t want the store owner to precipitate.“You don’t know what it feels like! You never had your family taken away!” Chewnette barks.“Barker, you thick-skulled imbecile, I don’t want you to get hurt…” Ronda is honest about her actions. Chewnette looks away, some guilt on her face…“Spirit.” Chewnette turns to you… or the place she thinks you’re standing. “I don’t ask more of you... I just… please! I need to. I need to find him more than anything in this world.”Like you thought last time, you think you know her son… It’s just a hunch, no proof or anything, you don’t know how to prove it to anyone… and you might be wrong. But, you’re almost completely sure that it’s the case. What do you do?>“Go to Shiva. There is a kid named Cohen. He’s your son. Go and meet him.” You don’t need to make Chewnette’s life impossible… Just tell her what you know.>“You’re free to give the package to the kids. I just want all the information you got. That’s our deal.” Maybe you can use her to get to Ophelia… This is not a pleasant idea…>“How stupid can you be to believe that woman? She’s clearly deceiving you.” You won’t allow Chewnette to get deceived.>“Don’t do anything. I promise I’ll bring your son here.” You have the time to do this, right?>Write In.

This rule doesn't apply to the last reply of the day.Votes that require a dice roll are counted until 15 minutes have passed, so we can speed up the process. Rolls are counted until 10 minutes have passed, so be prepared! (NEW) Dice Mechanic: We always roll 1d100s!Since most people weren’t happy with the system of averaging top four rolls, we’re using best of 2/3/4 depending on the attribute a prompt requires. If Johnny is a genius and it’s a Knowledge based roll, he gets more rolls (Max. 7)! If he sucks, he gets less dice (Min. 2)! When asked for rolls, I will specify how many you’re going to get. Rolling begins after it’s asked. Rolling 100 is a critical and ignores all other rolls! In the same vein, rolling 1 means a critical failure (only for Very Hard rolls and above). The difficulty of the roll is tied with the effectiveness of the action. In other words, the harder the option the better the result! Don’t forget that at the end of the day, this is a story-driven quest! What the prompts are describing is more important than the difficulty of the rolls, for results in a fight. Again, rolls are only counted when they are posted within ten minutes of being asked, so watch out!

“Go to Shiva. There is a kid named Cohen. He’s your son. Go and meet him.” Cohen is around 12 years old, he looks very similar to Chewnette, and he has no parents!“Cohen…?” Chewnette is too thunderstruck to know what else to say.“H-He’s one of my students… And yes, I suppose he does look like you… you share the same, uhm, thick-skullness. ” It’s like everything is clicking in Ronda’s head. “But he’s CotF, a normal one, if my memory serves me well, his parents were part of the military, he’s no true leech.”“You heard what she said. The kids were brought back and placed in orphanages.” You explain.“Milord, that’s why I emphasized that he’s not a true leech.” Ronda doesn’t want you to have the wrong idea. “Falsifying those papers is next to impossible, or else every single kid who didn’t have one, would. There is a heavy stigma attached to this information being unknown.”“Precisely why they would falsify it. They don’t want the child trafficking case to be known.” You point out. It’s all conjecture from beginning to end.“I need to see him… If I see him I’ll know!” Chewnette believes her motherly instincts will be enough to determine the truth! “P-Pardon me, Mr. Spirit, but you gave me permission to leave, right? Can I still exercise that right?”“You’re welcome to do so.” You’re no evil spirit after all.“It’s not school hours…” Ronda is working here after all. “Milord, I request you, can I aid Barker in her pursuit? I’m sure if I investigate the school files, their reunion will be swift.”…What do you do?>Let Ronda accompany Chewnette. You never wanted a minion to begin with.>You want Ronda to stay. >>4994432>Let Ronda accompany Chewnette. You never wanted a minion to begin with.>Just leave by the front. You still need to find Oliver! Talk with Yareli to know if she learned something about it.Honestly I never wanted to bust the orphanage today anyhow, and finding Oliver has always been the most important task here in my mind. I still feel that way, and I think that gradually busting portions of Ophelia's network and routine like we've been doing is going to increasingly get to her in a way that will be advantageous for us.Quite frankly if Ophelia is thinking straight when we confront her she has any number of ways to put Johnny into a situation he can't get out of without compromising some of his principles.

“Go ahead.” You’ll let Ronda go, you didn’t even want a minion to begin with!“I understand that brevity is the soul of wit. But wit and desire are often at odds with each other. Could your parting speech be prolonged just a bit, Milord? Your encouraging words will make my momentary parting less grieving.” Ronda really, really likes the sound of your voice…“C-Could you not now? I don’t want him to change his mind!” Chewnette starts dragging Ronda again.“I-It was merely a request before we go. Compensation for my good deeds.” Ronda doesn’t like this.“You’ll be handsomely monetarily compensated later!” Chewnette is a charitable soul.“I care little about money, I care about good company…” Ronda doesn’t care that much.“Before we go, Mr. Spirit, I’ll be giving you humble offerings if what you said to me turns out to be true. Look forward to them!” Chewnette is really excited!“One last request, Milord. Please don’t let your rage fall upon the officer, that’s what I’m for… Fufufu…” Ronda is still worried about Yareli.“She’ll be fine.” You tell them so they don’t feel guilty about leaving. Both Chewnette and Ronda nod and bow before leaving the Storage Room.…You wonder who’s going to keep the store running……Chewnette and Ronda are kicking people out, after a little ruckus, you feel like it’s finally safe to take your cloak off…“Sheesh…” You feel tired as you release Yareli’s hand. “Thanks for trusting me…”“You were pressuring her more to talk to confirm the information you had about her son. That’s commendable.” Yareli puts a hand on her chin. “Can’t say I like your methods, but I won’t argue with the results for now.”“I probably went too far in some places…” You’ll admit. “No questions about what happened…? Like what I did to you?” The invisibility…“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” Yareli quotes from memory. “You come from the future, so I should expect the unexpected. I will admit I was terrified, but now I’m sure you’re telling the truth.”
>>4994518“Sorry, but thanks for the trust… I couldn’t have done it without your cooperation.”“Yes, I suppose you could call it trust, Mr. Spirit.” Yareli keeps staring at her hand, opening it and closing it…“Let’s leave through the front. Chewnette won’t continue the dealings after she finds Cohen, and confronting those kids won’t get us anywhere except earning you a big target on your forehead.” You think you have rested enough. “We’ll talk outside.”“Understood.” Yareli is a very agreeable person. You step out of the Garden store. The closed sign is over the door, but the door won’t be closed, someone stole your cheese, so you don’t know if you should leave things like this.“So did you find something?” You wonder.“Yes, Sieb was there, he didn’t behave suspiciously. The only worthwhile detail was that he gave Chewnette a Wanted Sign, I noticed it inside the Storage Room. I was told he went to the lake. Perhaps to fish, or to deliver more signs. And still nothing on Leo Major.” Yareli reads through her notepad.“You wrote a lot in it.” You point out.“I write all statements, even my own questions when I interview people.” Yareli explains. She must write everything really fast…“Woah, that’s pretty incredible!” You acknowledge her strengths!“…” Yareli doesn’t know how to respond to that. “Let’s explore the lake in case we find Oliver there, it’s the only lead you have. I suspect Seib is delivering Signs everywhere he frequents in hopes to find Wilma.”Do you have any objections?>Tell Yareli it’s better if you retreat to the Mobile Home!>Go to the Lake… or the super pond like Kobashi described it.>Maybe paying a visit to the Orphanage will be better.>Write In.

“I think we should regroup at the base.” You cross your arms.“Base?” Yareli doesn’t know what you’re talking about.“Yeah, where I’m staying, the Camper.” You form a square with your arms to show the humongous side of the vehicle.“What about Leo Major?” Yareli believes this is the entire point of this activity.“Well, that’s why I want to regroup, I think we’ve been out for far too long; we need to reassess our situation. Oliver can fend for himself, so it’s no biggie.” You raise a finger upwards. “Besides, we don’t want anyone related to the Order to get suspicious with you sniffing around and whatnot.”“We didn’t confront the kids who came from the package, they might have spotted us. They are loose ends; we need to lay low.” Yareli finds your argument compelling. “Let’s go. I’m following you.”And so, you two left the Marketplace and went back to the Camper. It was a pretty unremarkable trip, you both talked about the stuff that happened that wasn’t that clear to each other. Mainly, when you snuck in, what you were doing in there, and more. Also, some details about Sieb’s purchases that seem irrelevant, he bought vegetable seeds…You knock on the door, and Matilda welcomes you two! She looks relieved. You give a brief explanation about what Yareli is doing here, and to Yareli, what Matilda’s role in all of this is. Wilma is very happy to see you back and returns to her backpack position, you would say Yareli looked confused, but Yareli never looks confused. Or looks anything but distant! With everyone in their seats, you get them up to speed with everything that happened when you were out, including a very simplistic overview of Yareli’s predicament and Oliver’s second disappearance.“Oli— Leo is lost again?” Matilda is so tired of Oliver’s shenanigans; she doesn’t seem to care. Or maybe Yareli’s inexpressiveness is contagious. Or maybe she expected it. “At least you told him about the Camper, right?”“I… don’t remember.” You scratch the back of your head, feeling all guilty.“Hmph.” Matilda chuckles. “There is no need to be concerned. Leo is not in harm’s way.” Matilda shows you Oliver’s beard! Then starts spinning it with one finger. What the hell?!“…We received a call from Chio. She recognized him while shopping for fish near the lake with Cookie. He came by less than an hour ago, but Sugar sent him to buy some special items.” A cheerful Wilma explains as she gets sleepy on your back.
>>4994673“So our pursuit was for nothing…” You lament.“I believe we would’ve crossed paths if we went to the pond.” Yareli points out. That makes you feel just a tiny bit better. “Regardless, it’s good to know he’s in good health.”“Still feels like getting second place...” You want to let it go, but you can’t!“Indeed, it does.” Yareli looks down. Good work there, you give her the closest thing to an emotion she can muster, and it’s a sad one!“…Oliver told us about what happened in the station. He’s an eccentric guy...” Wilma doesn’t know how to describe him. So, they know that you told Yareli you’re time travellers.“I would like to reiterate, it’s good to make you an acquaintance, Officer Yareli. Officer Kobashi told me about how reliable you are.” Matilda gives a respectful nod.“Likewise.” Yareli, a woman of few words. Like you. Cool and Collected at all times.“Who wants some driiinks?” Oh shit, your voice cracked! Fuck! At least Wilma found it funny. It’s tough having two unexpressive ladies in the same room. You wonder if they are related.“Not now. We need to talk first.” Matilda rejects the idea of you going anywhere. “There is something bugging me…” Matilda stares daggers at Naiad. Who cowardly hides inside your hoodie. You turn to calm her down, but she instead does a little dance like telling you ‘The results are ready! We need to talk!’“You mean the call you got?” Wilma chimes in with something unrelated. She can’t see Naiad after all.“N-No, I wasn’t expecting to talk about that… not now, at least.” Matilda shakes her head.Maybe it’s up to you where to steer the conversations… Yareli hasn’t opened up about the details of her troubles with the Order of the Blue, only the surface level stuff. Matilda had a mysterious call you want to know more about, it seems somewhat personal. “I would like to know.” You put your hands together and lean your head on them.“If you need a moment to catch up, please do so. I don’t want to be a hindrance.” Yareli knows this might be uncomfortable for Matilda to talk about in front of her. “Is there something I can listen to music with?” Yareli takes her headphones out. She brought them with her?!“…T-There is a radio over there, but I don’t think it’s that serious.” Wilma waves her hands nervously.“Up to Sugar.” You shrug.“I don’t want to be unwelcoming, so please stay. It’s just a brief happenstance.” Matilda has longing eyes.“As long as it’s not anything illegal. I’m always willing to lend an ear to the townsfolk.” Yareli takes her work way too seriously! “Misdemeanors are just the escalation of minor issues.”“I don’t think you should be worried about us committing crimes...” You scratch the back of your head. “Please, Sugar, go ahead.”“Do you remember how I got the Camper?” Matilda wants to make you remember the facts. She called the Mafia and asked them for a place to stay, and they sent her one of his grandfather’s vehicles.“You stole it?” Yareli takes her notepad out for some reason.“No.” Matilda shakes her head.“Carry on.” Yareli puts her notepad back. W-Was she willing to arrest time travelers again?!“…If I get arrested, do I lose my parents?” Wilma asks. That’s… a question only an orphan would make, right? Y-You never thought about it, ever! You swear!“You don’t.” Matilda glares at Wilma, who hides her head behind you… “Like I was saying. I received a phone call from the owner, my father. And it was a pleasant talk.”“I see.” You nod. “What else?”“That’s it.” Matilda nods.“…T-That’s not all.” Wilma couldn’t keep her silence! She wants you to press Matilda for the truth! “You looked emotional, remember? Y-You couldn’t hide it from me…”“I wasn’t expecting you to speak up.” Matilda is almost proud.“Sincerely, if I’m being a bother, I can take my leave.” Yareli doesn’t want to trouble anyone. Is she the type of person that ends up alone even when they don’t want to be…?“There is no need, it has nothing to do with you. I’m being childish.” Matilda asks for patience.“It must’ve been really important then.” You think, anyway. She doesn’t make a fuss about anything.“Yes… Since you were having loose lips already about what is happening to us. I informed him about us being from the future, I needed to convince him to allow us to keep the Camper. Thankfully he agreed.” Matilda puts her hand on her chin, closes her eyes, and starts explaining.“But that’s not what is upsetting you.” You can tell something else is up.
>>4995695“I told him the whole truth… When he told me that he believed me, I asked why… He said it’s because I sound just like my mother.” Matilda opens her eyes, looking down. “This is the first time I’ve ever heard him talk about her. I just didn’t expect it… Forget it, we shouldn’t talk about this any longer. There are more pressing matters to attend to.”“…Y-You told me you were going to explain it all when Phil arrived.” Wilma is not letting this up.“Later. “I mean, we have the time, Leo isn’t here...” You turn to the door because that would be his cue to enter and ruin everything. You’re not the only one who does that……“Yeah, we do.” You smile like nothing bad is going on.“I believe this is a deeply personal issue. I don’t believe I—”“…Officer Yareli, w-why are you trying to run away?” Wilma is a tad bit direct lately. You always knew she was honest, but she isn’t as gun shy as before.“…Point taken.” Yareli won’t try to leave after that.“So, Sugar, there’s more to what you were saying, right?” You bring everyone back on topic.“It’s unnecessary as of now to pursue this matter.” Matilda has realized she’s nervous to talk about it. She’s looking away so unsubtly, like Nariko when she wants food.“B-But I’m worried about you.” Wilma wants to help! “Y-You heard my story yesterday, it’s my turn to help…”“Delaying it is proof that the matter is not of importance.” Matilda is not fooling anyone.“I won’t suggest taking my leave again, but I must say you’re failing to mislead any of us.” The policewoman stares daggers at Matilda.“…He suggested I visit. I believe my mother will be there. I’ve never dreamed of this scenario to be a reality.” Matilda looks away again, but she’s telling the truth. “I don’t know how to proceed. I know I shouldn’t, but we need to leave as soon as we can after taking down the Orphanage…”“…” Yareli assumes Sugar’s family is not in good health in the future.…A chance to meet your parents…? “Well, you never know if we’ll have some time to kill later.” You shrug. You want to leave the door open in case you actually do.“I made up my mind. It’s just plain unnecessary and—”“Just let yourself have this, okay?” You grab Matilda’s arm to show her how serious you are about this.“…E-Everyone seems to have a predisposition to interrupt me today.” Matilda smirks as she shakes your hand off. “Very well. If we have the time and we’re putting our lives in jeopardy.”“Don’t play hard to get.” Wilma rolls her eyes. “…You’re acting just like Chio.”“…Pardon me.” Matilda looks somewhat flustered by her behavior. “I confide some personal information with you, and now you don’t even hesitate to tell me off.”“H-Huh?! S-S-Sorry…!” Wilma realizes she’s acting up!“Hmph, you sound like Mirjam now.” Matilda won’t be defeated easily.“You both sound like dummies.” You shake your head as you smirk.“Yes. That’s why we mentioned Chio and Mirjam.” Matilda deadpans.“Hehehe…” Wilma tries to hide her laughter because she feels bad about it.“I don’t understand the gravity of the situation, but I’m glad the outcome is of your liking.” Yareli is really not happy about this! Because she can’t look happy or sad!“Maybe it’s because you’re still feeling like the odd one out.” You point at Yareli. “You should tell them about what happened, and why you’re going to help us out with the Orphanage.”“Yes, I was curious about it myself. It seems you’re omitting some beats about your story.” Matilda doesn’t let anything pass her.“…Yup.” Wilma is not someone you can trick easily either.“This is unnecessary. I heard about their misdoings, I investigated them, and now I’ve been targeted. That’s all.” Yareli plays dumb. What’s up with everyone not being honest here…? Is it a thing with quiet girls…?“Yareli, you literally gain nothing hiding this…” Are you really an expert at handling awkward people? Or is it just that you’re the only one who bothers to? You feel like you’re experiencing deja vu every time everyone is stubborn about talking.
>>4995916“Trust is the first step for collaboration.” Matilda acts like a martial arts teacher. “Your previous comments indicate to me that you wouldn’t trust yourself in my shoes, the ones about you ditching our chat. Showing me that, deep down, you’re not willing to specifically trust me either. While I’m not taking these pretenses to heart, I will let you know that I already deposited a huge amount of faith in you, having you here and hearing my issues. So, I humbly ask for the same courtesy.” Matilda bows her head.“Very well.” Yareli feels no need to keep being obtuse. “Before I begin, I advise you to keep those comments to yourself, I speak from experience, people don’t take kindly to those kinds of explanations. They sound calculating and manipulative.”“I think you two should not take yourselves that seriously…” You scratch the back of your head.“I agree.” Yareli takes your comment to heart. “Now, allow me to begin…”Yareli recounts all the events she had with the Orphanage of the Blue and what happened in her house. But it’s Wilma who is the first one to react after the tale is over.“…I-I don’t recall anyone in the orphanage named Ivanov.” Wilma stands up and leans on your back to deliver the news. “I don’t get to interact with the rest of the children, but that wouldn’t slip my mind!”“That’s impossible…” That’s the worst thing Yareli has ever heard in her life. “Does that mean he’s…?”“It’s likely you weren’t given his real name. We shouldn’t act irrationally now, it already backfired on you once, didn’t it?” Matilda gives reason to the situation.“You’re correct.” Yareli looks down…“Then I’ll be the one thanking you for sharing this information with them.” You need to lift up the mood without it being too much of a swing.“Y-Yes! Thank you, officer…” Wilma gets all nervous.“You’re welcome.” Yareli closes her eyes.“We’ll work together to solve this. I won’t let anyone down this time.” Matilda is confident. There is an elephant in the room that somehow sparked this conversation but wasn’t addressed. An adorable, tiny, and shy elephant! It’s Naiad! And you’ve been ignoring her for far too long. It’s time for her to do her thing! But you wonder how you can go about this, you’ll bring it up to Matilda…“So Sugar, there is something we need to talk about.” You stare at Naiad to drive your point clearly. She winks and poses to acknowledge you!“Yes, that would be the case. But we need Leo here first, don’t you think?” Matilda reminds you that he’s necessary here. You all turn to the door, expecting him to interrupt, but nothing happens again. Gosh darn it, Oliver…“Though I would lie if I didn’t admit I’m dying to know about this... happening.” Matilda doesn’t mind leaving the ex-terrorist out of this.“If you need to have privacy. I would like to take this chance to interview Wilma about the Orphanage of the Blue’s inner workings.” Yareli is being proactive as well. “A thorough examination is required.”“B-But…” Wilma doesn’t want to leave your back. You’ll have to banish the tomato native from your yard.“As long as you share your findings with us.” Matilda accepts in the name of everyone.“We’re working together, aren’t we?” This is all or nothing for Yareli too.“…!” Wilma shakes her head and rolls away. “…Ask away, Officer.” Wilma is all serious now. Yareli nods in response as she takes out her notepad.“Let’s go to the front to discuss…” Matilda walks towards the driver’s seat. You follow.Matilda pulls a curtain to hide what you’re doing. You don’t recall this being here before, it doesn’t damper the sound as much as a wall would, but it works.“So, what’s that thing?” Matilda doesn’t beat around the bush and points at Naiad. You’re still surprised she’s able to look at entities now without any issues!“It’s not a thing. She’s my friend, Naiad! Say hi to Sugar, Naiad.” You invite the fairy to do her cutesy dance.“…” Naiad is just hiding behind your neck, still inside your hoodie. She’s too shy!“Partner, you’ll have to do the talking.” Philonune points that out.“Uhm, she’s a little shy.” You scratch your cheek. “I’ll explain. Remember what I said about Dream Hill: The Field of Hopes and Dreams? She’s the one who does that. She’s my friend Xavi’s partner. And she came here to help us out.”“Yes, I remember. But due to other pressing matters at the time, I forgot to ask: Did you see my deepest wish there?”
Forget to post the second part?
“…Naiad has been waiting to tell us her findings! She has been using some kind of machine to analyze what’s happening, and we have the results. She might be the key to a way out for us!” You completely ignore what Matilda just said.“…” Matilda is glaring at you.“I-I’m sure you can visit that place as well when we’re done with this!” You look away as the master of deception that you are… “Anyway, Naiad, how can we help to make this more comfortable for you?”Naiad peeks out of your hoodie and points at the Camper’s Radio. She wants you to help her get there with her machinery. You put her over there… She starts installing her little ship on it somehow, and briefly, her ship opens to show a little screen, static starts coming out from both the screen and the radio’s speakers – as Naiad continues to calibrate her equipment.“What is she doing?” Matilda has the closest thing to a gleeful childlike expression on her face that she can muster. It’s just a way of saying her eyes are shining…“I don’t know. She’s full of surprises…” And hopefully, a deus ex machina for an escape route…“He… Hello…?” You hear a familiar voice through the static. Naiad gets surprised by it, and almost falls off her feet! She continues working on it still.“Hello?!” You don’t know if they can hear you! But you’ll respond anyway!“Joh… is… you?” That familiar voice says in response.“Yes, it’s Phil Noon speaking here.” You cough loudly, you’re going by your artistic name after all.All of the sudden, the static goes away, the image clears as well as the voice… It’s Xavi!!! And he’s… in Dream Hill?“Oh yeah, our code names, Goatee speaking here. Do you hear me?” Xavi gets out a tired but triumphant chuckle from the exhaustion. “Oh wow, we made it…”“A bit too loud, but all clear…” You drop the radio’s volume a lil’ bit. Naiad does a little victory dance now that it works perfectly! But she gets self-conscious once she realizes Matilda is watching her and hides behind your hand. “Can you hear us?”“Eyup. Mics are working all fine.” Xavi nods to the camera.“By the way, this is Sugar. Wave to the camera.” You nudge Matilda to be nice.“…Hello there, nice to meet you.” Matilda gives a cordial bow.“Sugar? That must be a codename too, right?” Xavi doesn’t know that what he said might sound rude.“Kinda…?” You scratch the back of your head. “You must be wondering what the hell is going on, right?” First time in his life that Xavi gets to play the cool guy, huh? You feel like he’s going to milk this as much as he can. “It was difficult to contact you with all the trouble over here, but I’m glad you guys aren’t gone. I’ll explain what I and Naiad know. I’m just calling the others over…”

Reminder>“I wish I could open up to the people I care about. I believe it’s only a matter of time before they discard me for my inability to do so. While I find being by oneself comforting, I do not wish to be alone.” That’s Matilda. “I rather… enjoy some people’s company.”>“I’m not leaving you alone, Matilda.” You shake your head. “What trouble? What’s going on?” That little comment got your attention.“Oh, it’s no big deal, at least Cloudhead said so.” Xavi is sure it's not something to be worried about.“Isn’t her codename beehive head?” You think he’s talking about Giorsal.“Cloudhead is better, don’t you think?” Xavi has a point. Why do you feel like both names are wrong…?“Guys, get to the point.” Matilda not so cordially interrupts.“R-Right.” Xavi is surprised Matilda spoke up. “Remember the new rules?”“In a way, it’s the reason we’re here. So yes, we do.” Matilda nods. Oh yeah, San Wich couldn’t control Wilma’s old body, it’s illegal now.“The Serial Killer, the Behemoth or whatever, he’s being controlled by an entity. And you know the new rules! Entities can’t take over their hosts. One of the Flying Referees found out and before it could report it, The Serial Killer destroyed it, which alerted the others. Now there is a full-blown battle happening downtown to stop the guy.” Xavi recalls the situation the best way he can. “Birds aren’t enough to deal with him on their own, so the Judges asked for other participants to volunteer to help since they can’t go themselves, more to deter normal citizens from approaching the battlefield than anything, that’s what Cloudhead said anyway.”“That doesn’t sound like it’s a minor deal…” You think this can be huge! HUGE!“Cloudhead said restraining him won’t be an issue in the slightest. She also mentioned that while big events like these are happening, the Judges have a new safety protocol they have to adhere by. So Honey Bunny and that Mr. Thug guy are guarding her. Double Dick and B-WORM talked about having a rematch, so they went against the big guy.”“A-Are you sure this is fine…?” You just can’t buy it.“The Cult was a way bigger deal in Gio’s words. R-Rats, I called her by her name.” Xavi makes an honest mistake.“I do trust her judgment.” You nod to yourself. Wait, aren’t the Judges a bunch of frauds and Constance?! You just met Esperanza and she’s a big dummy! You’re kinda worried now.“You mention being with someone else.” Matilda points that out.“Yeah, they went picking up stars and…” Xavi looks behind him but finds no one.“….?!!!!” Naiad is flabbergasted.“S-Sorry, I know you love giving tours but…” Xavi looks guilty! Because he is.“….” Naiad looks sad. You pat her head…“I did tell you, we can still chat, you just ignored me…” Xavi points out to defend himself. It’s very ineffective. Naiad doesn’t care, this betrayal will stand forever.
>>4997110“You didn’t answer my question.” Matilda is not happy about this.“Here they are…” Xavi makes some space for the others.“Johnny! Matilda! You guys okay?!” It’s Scarlet!“…How do I turn this off?” You joke.“My thoughts exactly.” Matilda plays along.“HEY, TAKE THIS SEWIOUSLY, I’M WOWWIED!” Scarlet pouts!“Bubbles, we’re supposed to use our codenames…” Xavi has to remind the redhead about professionalism.“I don’t want to be called that anymore! We talked about this!” Scarlet stares daggers at Xavi.“No time to discuss that, Bubbles.” You adjust your glasses. “We’re a-okay here though!”“…I guess I should be more positive.” Scarlet will ignore your dumb shenanigans for now. “Where is Oliver?”“His codename is Leo Major.” Matilda shakes her head.“C-Can you stop with the codenames…?” Scarlet isn’t pleased with that.“Wasn’t it your idea…?” Xavi points out. You don’t recall that…“He’s out buying groceries for us.” Matilda briefly explains.“Hey.” It’s Lise.“Hey, Lise.” You wave. Naiad and Philonune do the same. “…wait.”“Lise…?” Matilda is confused by this, but there is a hint of happiness as well, you’re getting better at reading her.“Wait, what?” Lise raises an eyebrow. “I came here to help. How are you holding up, Johnny, sis?”“Codenames, please.” Xavi interrupts.“How am I supposed to know their codenames?!” Lise shouts.“By asking nicely…?” Xavi is shocked at how easily she gets angry. He has no idea…Xavi tells Lise everyone’s nicknames.“Okay, got it. Won’t forget.” Lise promises. “Hey, these star thingies are damn interesting. Pretty fun, if I do say so myself, touched a couple.”“…!!!” Naiad wants her not to touch a thing.“S-Sorry, you can’t keep doing that. Naiad is not one bit happy about not being here to show you the place herself, you’ll have to wait for a full tour.” Xavi apologizes to Lise as he wraps his hands around his head in case she gets angry again.“Fine. I’ll cut you some slack, I wasn’t supposed to come to have fun here anyway.” Lise shrugs. She’s more reasonable than what her attitude shows…“What are you doing here, Lise?” Matilda is still puzzled by her presence.“I just said, to help. But why me specifically? Well, I heard you two were in a pickle, and I thought why not? I still owe you both.” Lise is in good humor. Owe you for what? Almost killing her? “You heard about the new Judge Protocol, right? Well, Constance had her guard ready when I arrived. But Nina needed to send someone over here, so I took the job. By the way, she’s dead worried.”
>>4997112“Sorry, both of you have mentioned this protocol, but what is it about?” You want to know.“As far as I know, it’s just a fancy way of saying that they did everything to protect themselves, so they don’t look bad to others. They had to present their defense strategies to the others for approval, so it varies from Judge to Judge. Their duties are becoming more bureaucratic.” Xavi explains.“I-I kinda got a little nervous because a long time passed, and sent both Nina and Gio distress calls. Hehe…” Scarlet shows a little guilt.“Yup, that’s why I’m over here since the Behemoth issue isn’t a big deal.” Xavi chuckles. “I didn’t think I would be a perfect fit for this, but I’m happy to be of help.”“Yeah. I came over with Kata too, she’s checking on this Sandwich chick. Too bad she’s still unconscious.” Lise points out. “Wait, do I need a nickname too? Sounds corny.”“I-It’s not corny, it’s cool!” Scarlet won’t allow this slander.“I thought you hated yours.” Lise raises an eyebrow, all puzzled.Any idea for Lise’s Nickname?>Whale Daughter.>Angry Shout.>Volleyball Player.>No.>Write In.What now?>Ask What exactly is going on here. >>4997116I'd be down to get Lise in here as back up. Her entity ability would be hella useful and this would give both her and Matilda a chance for...I don't know quite the word to use, but they've both got guilt over Bradford and need to be shown that they CAN pull things off in a big way under pressure.
>>4997110>>4997112You know what sounds a lot more plausible than the Behemoth not being a big deal? The Judges deliberately thinning the field while retaining their favorite candidates by making it mandatory to have protection and avoid the fighting.

>>4997119+1>>4997184Good thinking. Speaking of entities, I want to full-summon Philo just so Matilda sees him for the first time.>>4997187>You know what sounds a lot more plausible than the Behemoth not being a big deal? The Judges deliberately thinning the field while retaining their favorite candidates by making it mandatory to have protection and avoid the fighting.Behemoth being a jobber surprises me. Then again, the QM has written a lot of surprising things in this quest. I like that.
>>4997441I mean he's demonstrably not a jobber. Even the thinnest of reading between lines here reveals obvious contradictions, even without considering who he was able to tank on Judgment day. Just tell me how the following two statements can possibly be true.>The Serial Killer destroyed it, which alerted the others. Now there is a full-blown battle happening downtown to stop the guy>Yup, that’s why I’m over here since the Behemoth issue isn’t a big deal.I don't know what's actually going on, but we're definitely not getting the full story here.
“How about Hostile Cutie?” You propose! Lise is both prone to getting angry and very cute! It fits perfectly! Matilda’s eyes are rolling in agreement!“Are you flirting?” Lise starts chuckling. Hey, at least she thinks you’re funny.“Cutie, huh…?” Scarlet pouts, all unimpressed. She came up with the name The Nameless, what rights does she have to complain?“You’re jealous over just that? Ha! It’s so mild!” Lise must think Scarlet’s reaction is even funnier.“I’m glad you ignored the first bit...” Xavi isn’t the best wingman, huh?“You want me to go hostile on him?” Lise raises an eyebrow. “You guys don’t go out much, do you?”“Huh?! I go out all the time! You’re being so rude!” Scarlet won’t stand for Lise’s slander.“Guilty as charged.” Unlike Xavi, who comes to terms with the allegations.“He’s just joking anyway. I mean, what kind of name is that? It’s so stupid. Like c’mon, I’m looking like a slob right now!” Lise dismisses your proposal.“I’m not. You’re always a cutie.” You adjust your glasses.“Eh?!” Lise isn’t getting what’s happening.“They all have silly nicknames.” Matilda points out. Like Sugar is any better…“W-Wait…” Lise realizes this isn’t funny anymore.“Everyone in favor of Hostile Cutie being Lise’s nickname say Aye.” Matilda acts like this is a board meeting.“Aye.” You all nod. Including Naiad and Philonune.“…I can’t tell if you guys have a sense of humor or not. You’re just a buncha weirdos.” Hostile Cutie sighs.“You’ll get used to it, Hostile Cutie.” Scarlet smirks.“Shut up, Bubbles.” Lise dismisses her with few words. Scarlet is seething already. Some things never change no matter how difficult the situation is.“Let’s move on, shall we?” Matilda wants to keep everyone on track.“What’s going on in here? Where are we? Did we time travel? You guys have some ideas, right?” You're dying to know, both literally and figuratively.“We don’t know…” Scarlet looks down.“That’s what Naiad has been studying, really. I’ll act as her spokesperson, our bond is still intact, so she will relay the information telepathically; just a reminder, fairies don’t disclose all their information; ehem, this is what she knows...” Xavi takes a deep breath; this is going to be long…
>>4998207Naiad believes you’re in a world similar to Dream Hill: The Field of Hopes and Dreams. A dormant world that occupies real physical space somewhere she can’t specify. Not dreamlike like the Distant Frontier, or just direct communication like the Bridge between Worlds. Whatever this world/dimension is, it has an open connection with your world, in which large amounts of Spiritual Energy from different sources pass by, back and forth.Naiad explains this is something similar to how Dream Hill works. Fairies use the least amount of energy possible to make their abilities work, and they found out that relocating and outsourcing energy is always efficient. They channel the Spiritual energy of people outside their realm to create the Stars that you grab in there. As soon as no soul is in Dream Hill, the process stops, but it goes back and forth just like in here when it’s happening. Why? Because they need feedback in case a Wish changes. From the flora and fauna to people, every living being she has encountered has a connection going through to the Main world and back, with a few exceptions: You, Matilda, and Yareli. You and Matilda get no energy of any sort, while Yareli doesn’t give any energy back. Based on her own analysis she did previously back in your original world, Wilma has the exact same spiritual energy in both worlds, therefore, both Wilmas are connected and they are constantly giving each other feedback! She assumes the same thing from everyone who has a link. And the bubble (old) Wilma made is a gate to this world!“So, that means we didn’t actually go to the past, but we find ourselves in a world that looks identical to it?” Matilda puts it in simpler words.“Yep, that’s Naiad’s theory.” Xavi agrees as Naiad points at Matilda for a wonderful conclusion! “It also explains why there are basically no ghosts or entities in this world.”“But why is it in the past…?” Scarlet doesn’t get it.“She doesn’t know.” Xavi shrugs as Naiad looks away, ashamed of her own shortcomings!“Naiad said she used the energy in Dream Hill to create the stars. Does that mean that, maybe, the energy borrowed here is used to recreate everything…? So (old) Wilma’s energy is being used to create (young) Wilma?” You have enough knowledge to say convoluted shit too!“Naiad says it’s possible.” Xavi nods.“Doesn’t that mean if we cut the energy from coming here, she’ll die…?” You didn’t want to speculate that much, but you can’t deny the truth.
>>4998208“Naiad says this world is already established for the most part. If we stop the energy from fluctuating, it just means both Wilmas won’t have a connection, that’s all.” Xavi gives you some information to relax. “It’s all speculation from Naiad’s studies, so don’t take my word for it.” Xavi ruins it. “But her studies are the most reliable!” Xavi is convinced that’s the case, his natural instinct to be pessimistic is fighting against his belief in Naiad.“Stick to one thing.” Lise gets a lil’ pissed. “If everything is fine, everything is fine.”“I don’t want to get blamed if I’m wrong though.” Xavi scratches his goatee.“Be more positive! That’s why I’m here!” Scarlet tries to lift Xavi’s spirits.“Is there a way out?” You cut them off without being too insensitive.“That’s what Naiad is there for. If there is a way in, there is a way out. She just needs to keep doing her research for an escape route for everyone, so help her if you can.” Xavi gives you his half-assed deus ex machina… And she’s awesome!“Can I ask why you are in this Dream Hill place?” Matilda asks a question that didn’t cross your mind.“I don’t know if Phil Noon told you this, but time passes differently in Dream Hill than in the real world. And the same idea happens in the place you are. To be able to communicate, we had to match the ‘time passing’, and the only way we could do something like that was here in Dream Hill. Naiad has the capability to change how fast time passes here. She had to go back and forth until the times matched, because otherwise, whatever we send from here, would either be really slow or go in the blink of an eye.” Xavi explains in detail. This duo is way more capable than you thought…“I suppose this makes sense.” Matilda won’t argue with the logic, but it explains why help took this long to get here. “So how much time exactly passes in the real world compared to here?”“I have no idea, Naiad tweaked it so much, we lost track. I know it’s slower here.” Xavi apologizes.“Figures.” Matilda isn’t satisfied with the answer.“This is a lot to take…” There are still questions in your mind about this.Like… What is San Wich…?No, not like that. You know what a sandwich is!Sadly, you’ll have to ask them next time! This is all we have for now! See you next thread and take care!
