I really don’t understand how I have come this far, it must be the will of Arceus at this point but you Anon’s are making good progress.

approximately one year ago, there was a solar eclipse and, during that period of darkness, Pokemon appeared upon the Earth. It took only a small period of hysteria before people embraced the Pokemon and, within months, the first Pokemon Tournament was held in Tokyo, Japan. You are Andrew Gwan, a broke 18-year-old living with his mother in New York City. After graduating high school, you decided that your goal in life would be to become a Pokemon trainer and win the 2nd Annual Pokemon Tournament.

With the help of some Japanese Guy larping as Ash Ketchum and your new friend who uses a Golbat, you manage to not only win a tournament with a cash prize of $5000 but 3 Pokeballs and got the chance to face your very first gym leader!

After a tough fight and a Nidoqueen who refused to go down, you managed to beat the Gym Leader and get your first ever gym badge!

Now you are working overtime at your job in the Pokecenter which is currently in the process of getting robbed by the mob.

The third and final guy was in the lobby starting his approach to the storage room, years of playing stealth games have taught you the way of sneaking around.

You move through the halls as this place is well known to you, unlike the intruders which give you an advantage. It was not a long walk but the closer you got to the lobby the slower you had to get as the noise could attract his gaze and that is the opposite of what you want. You don’t know if he is also armed or not.

Eventually, once your footsteps have become so slow it felt like you had stopped moving, have you arrived in the main lobby, peeking through a door frame to see him looking around cautiously.

You place Gasper at your current location as the light he produces would reveal everyone as you motion Joltik to attach himself to your clothes which he obliges and crawls down from the ceiling which appears to be his favoured mode of transportation.

With one final deep breath, you start sneaking your way through the main lobby in an attempt to manoeuvre behind him. Slowly but surely, watching your every step to make sure an accidental sound is not made.

The man is none the wiser but you can see that the entire time he was gripping something in his belt, considering that one of the mobsters in the backrooms had a 9mm you can only assume the same and this one may possibly have a trigger finger.

You silently pray that this shit works as you can feel Joltik on the back of your clothing as you ever so slowly finally manage to get behind him.

Only a couple more steps until your arm can reach his back and Joltik can do his thing, as step upon step you feel like bursting out in a breath of air, as if you were drowning and finally managed to surface but you kept it in as the man slowly moved towards one of the doorways and you had to adjust your speed to keep up.

At any moment it felt like he was going to turn around but, finally, you did it.

Only an arm's length away as you raise your left and move your shoulder a bit to inform Joltik to do his thing as Joltik quickly but silently crossed your arm and managed to crawl onto the mobsters clothing.

It seems this though, made him realize that something was behind him

“Huh, what the fu-CK SHITTTTTTT”

The room lit up with Joltiks electricity as the poor man was quickly subdued by the power of a tick.

As he collapsed onto the ground you quickly went over to his collapsed body and checked out his belt and of course, a holster with a gun on it so you quickly removed it and threw it across the room.

From what you can tell this guy is not waking up for a while and the two others you subdued should still be stuck in the van outside in the alleyway.

Almost on cue, you could hear the sirens in the background, finally some good news.

With that, you let out the greatest sigh you could muster that this shit was finally over and a wave of courage flowed through you at the fact you did this.

Joy should be in the storage room now making sure the Pokemon are ok since the power cut out but a quick sweep across the building may prove beneficial.

At this point, its probably best if you just let the professionals handle the situation so you simply wait in the lobby and quickly get Gasper and Joltik in their Pokeballs before the cops arrive.

It was another minute before the cops came and of course the usual happened, hands up, a quick frisk and them basically swarming the building doing a sweep of all the rooms and floors.

One of the cops quickly pulls you aside and it's time for your questioning as you give a basic run-through of basically what has happened and including the info about the two mobsters you put in the van as the cop quickly radios some units to check out the alleyway.

You also inform them that the men were armed and where Nurse Joy was.

Obviously, you left out the part about your involvement in all this and basically chalked it down to your call being: “I heard a noise” which is more than enough for this cop apparently.

It was around 12 when you finally got to leave as Nurse Joy was briefed on the situation and allowed you to go home an hour early when realizing what the fuck happened.

It does make you think though, did any of these guys see your face? It was pretty dark but if one of them got close enough they may have been able to catch a glimpse, and can’t any of the other mobsters (if any were still out there) simply piece together the clues and figure out this was you who foiled their plot?

You push these thoughts to the back of your mind, for now, one stressful situation is more than enough for a single night.

A quick check of your stuff confirms everything safe as well as your belongings before you start taking the walk back to your apartment.

You entered your apartment complex before 1, earlier than you are supposed to arrive when on the job and thus a bit of energy is still left in you.

As the elevator brings you up to your floor you fiddle around with the keys before silently entering your apartment.

You tiptoe around to not wake the other Pokemon and your mother before changing clothes and bringing out your Pokemon to finally gain their rest.

Let's surf the web a bit, look for stuff for our pokémon like an evo stone for gasper or how to make those pokefood they like like those pokepuffs or just shitpost on the internet about how the guy with the gabite and the litwick was a Giga-Chad and everyone else was a bitch or a virgin.

A bit of searching on the web seemed appealing at the moment as you hopped on the net.

After watching Satoshi’s Pokemon evolve in front of your eyes you felt like that some of your other Pokemon could use some boosts, such as Evo stones from the game.

You recall a few days ago when you and the gang went to this weird Chinese store, you saw three stones for sale, water, thunder and fire stones.

They cost quite a lot and at the time there was no way you could afford it but with the tournament winnings, it is now a possibility.

Thing is, when you were searching on the web there were even more stones that existed other than the 3 you have seen.

One for almost every type, and the purpose of your search being a stone for Gasper which is called the Dusk Stone. This stone can be used for ghost types of many varieties.

Apparently, they are already quite rare so finding one itself will already be difficult but buying one even more so. With your money right now though you could probably afford it from the general price range that Google says that they could be offered at.

Next, you decide that it is time to boost your reputation, and what better than to shitpost on some forums about how great you are? First up is the official Pokemon league forums which are constantly spammed with it and eventually you find a thread about the tournament and get right to it.

You spent 20 minutes in there arguing about how this ‘Andrew’ guy was pretty great and defending his honour from people saying he cheated with the Evo trick. They are just mad they can never come close to his greatness.

After white knighting yourself you lean back on your chair, proud of your work.

Do both use the the anons autism to see if you can get some info on the other gym leaders, like who they think is weakest or which one has the shittiest typing just be discret about it so no one catch on what we're doing then surf the web and look for deals about trainer items like pokéballs, TM's and stuff.

If you are planning on challenging all the leaders it is best to learn as much as possible about them before facing them, and what better way to do that then by getting a bunch of internet autists to do all the hard work for you?

You quickly created a new thread in the forums with a simple caption:

“Byran is the best gym leader, change my mind.”

Almost on cue replies came forward and quickly delved into a shitstorm, a useful one for you at least.

A quick comb through and you manage to compile all the info needed to gain a brief understanding of the gym leaders.

Bryan as you have already faced was a poison leader with a special gimmick being his fighting type moves that his pokemon often have as a sort of way to trick people into bringing out ground or steel types only to be pummeled by moves such as superpower.

The second leader is in Boston and is primarily a Fighting-type. His name is James Chang and probably very good friends with Bryan.

The third is in Montreal and of course, Ice types. The gym leader there is a Quebec lady called Stella Lemaire so probably your Gabite won’t be having a fun time there.

Fourth is in Toronto and its a Steel themed gym. The leader being a former army veteran by the name of Christopher Jones so it's best to not underestimate him at all, he is a good all-rounder.

Fifth is in Pittsburgh and it is a fire type gym with a hothead by the name of Lucas Fox who appears to be a professional racer or used to be. Man is fast so prepare to get outsped.

Sixth is in Philadelphia and believe it or not it's a normal type of gym. The leader here is a guy called Anthony Stuart who dresses like a businessman and is probably a stock broker.

Seventh in Baltimore and it is a fairy type gym, a contrast to what the next gym is like and a woman by the name of Samantha Gardens is the head and she appears to be like 70 or something, if you take long enough you can probably wait her out.

The final being in Washington D.C and Dragon Types being the predominant type here so prepare for quite the challenge as most people who take the challenge do this one the last. The leader here is a guy called Stanley Wong and you are confident he was a former FBI agent or something.

With all this sweet little info this is sure to help you on your quest, and plus you got a couple of laughs from making people argue on the internet which helps you calm down from the events an hour or so ago.

It was about time that you fell asleep, you still had another busy day ahead of you and those old people won’t give you a break, ever.

You shut off the computer and let the streetlight be the only thing that now illuminates the room.

As you slowly creep around your room, making sure not to accidentally step on any of your Pokemon you can just briefly see them all. Momtatta with her children cuddling around her, Exxon in the corner resembling a beanbag chair of sorts, Eevee and Carcharodon sleep at the foot of your bed like dogs while Gasper takes the place of a lamp beside your bed and Joltik sitting atop the lightbulb of an actual lamp on the other side of the bed.

You rest as tomorrow is a new day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

>310 days until tournament
>Money: $2874.96
>Closet: $2500
>Pokeballs: Three (3)

You wake up as the sensation of Eevee licking your face overwhelms the comfort you feel in the bed and the alarm blaring loudly in your ear.

You gently pick her up and move her so that you can get up and check the time, which is 8 AM. If you recall correctly, it would mean you had 7 hours and around 30 minutes of sleep, not ideal but also not the worst thing that has happened.

You quickly go to the bathroom and get all the general stuff out of the way before tumbling into the living room where you observe your mother in the kitchen, she notices your presence mostly by how loud you are when walking in.

“Oh hey Andrew, your up early after work last night, breakfast will be ready soon-ish.”

“Ah, thanks, mom.”

You look around the room and see your Pokemon running around. They all seem to be converging on the living room couch watching some news channel as you behold your ever-growing team.

“Oh Andrew, by the way, you should probably calm down on the collecting, we don’t have much room in the apartment now and the cost for them is rising.”

That is true, the more you collect the less room you will have here and the more money that will be spent on maintaining them and you know, keeping them alive.

You check your phone for any messages, nothing important but you do remember the fact that today at 7 PM you need to be at Al and Agnes’s place to deliver their food in exchange for them to tell you the location of where to catch Karelia. You kinda have to know since you already placed a $60 or so purchase on some pastries with your neighbour who owns a restaurant.

You got lots of time though and today seems to be quite peaceful.

You decide that before anything, it's best to get some food in you. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all so you hop on the couch with the team and just watch the news until mother finishes breakfast which you scarf down alongside your Pokemon with theirs.

As you sit and eat on your tiny little table you bring up the money in your closet.

“Hey mom, don’t know if you heard yet but I won a tournament down in Greenbelt park.”

This seems to attract her attention.

“Oh? Another tournament with your Pokemon I assume?”

“Of course, and I won $5000 so-”

At the sound of that much money, your mom briefly chokes on her food before managing to gulp it down and now paying full attention.

“That much money? Where is it, have you kept it safe?”

“That what I am asking about, I want you to keep some of it safe for me.”

She thinks for a moment before deciding.

“Sure I can keep it safe for you, probably better than hiding it wherever you have.”

“It's in my closet.”

“Checks out.”

You can tell that your mom is quite impressed with the money and tournament win but you don’t know if she realizes the thing about the gym challenges yet, maybe its best to tell her when you actually go, whenever is best.

Once breakfast is done though you start to get dressed for the day as you have already decided to buy some more Pokeballs. You got three from the tournament already but more could always be useful, you may need to also buy a backpack or something to hold all your stuff in because the belt can’t hold all these Pokeballs.

Eventually, once finally getting dressed up and balling up A-team to come with, you leave the apartment and comb through the streets of NYC and eventually find a convenience store that is selling Pokeballs for the normal $300 price.

Before we get the balls check what kind of backpacks they got.
>>
Considering this is a convenience store you aren’t going to be finding any real bags but after searching through the aisles you find two things that attract your attention.

The first is a satchel, coming in a few colours it is 11 inches and is not that hard to carry around but it allows for a bit of space to store your Pokeballs and other such small items, you could probably fit Gasper in there and carry him around since it has 3 compartments in total. The cost is $39.99 but it may look weird carrying this thing around.

The second being one of those that doctors use in movies. It doesn't have as much room as the satchel but it is smaller and lighter, plus it looks far better too with it being made of leather and it does look more discreet than carrying around the satchel. plus you can look professional with it. You check the price tag with it being: $29.99

You take a look at both bags before making a decision:

>Buy one of the bags (which one?)
>No need for one of these, back to buying Pokeballs! (How many?)
>Many different stores out there (what type of store?)
>Leave the store (go where?)
>Write in
>>
>>4666749
The second one then buy 3 pokeballs then go see if the pastries we asked for are ready.
>>
You decide to buy the small leather bag, you have no need for the bigger one yet and plus it looks stylish and will do the job more than good enough.

You take it before heading back to the Pokeballs and deciding to buy 3 of them, $900 gone and a possible 3 more Pokemon that can be captured.

The cashier rings it up for you as you are out quite a few dollars but it will be worth it, and whats wrong about splurging just a bit?

Next on the menu is the state of those pastries for the old people. You spent $60 on those, they better reimburse you for it considering this was back when you didn’t have much money to your name. (since you spent it all on more Pokeballs after beating them in the Subway tournament)

You take the walk to Mr. Papadopoulous store and even just approaching it the smell captivates you as you walk through and see the jolly man with his Milcery on the counter, no doubt to attract business.

You look around the shop a bit before quickly spotting the man in question and asking him.

“Hey Papadopoulous, how ya doin? Is my order ready?”

“Ah, Andrew! First thing first congratulations on your tournament win, heard you got quite a few dollars from it, remember to spend some of it here.” He would chuckle a bit at that before continuing. “And yes I have your order ready, tis’ why I came early!”

He would walk into the depths of the store where the magic is made and bring out a large box with a nice creamy colour and the smell was intoxicating.

“Here it is, a whole lot of pastries for a whole lot of people.”

You quickly thank him and pay the money of $60, you are starting to feel the burn of spending this much money but the old geezers SHOULD repay you for this.

>Money: $1884.97

You gave a little smile at the Milcery as she slushes around in her bowl and makes cute little noises as you leave and offers them both a wave.

The next stop is home where you shall deposit your new food as carrying it around all day is definitely not ideal and you put it into the fridge.

You stretch your back and pet the Rattatas that come rushing to greet you and observe Exxon doing his tour of the house making sure everything is clean.

Its workout time as you prepare yourself for the sweat stream.

You call upon your Pokemon as you bring out the little tools for their training regime, pieces of little cardboard to be used for practice as pseudo dummies.

You scour the house for some dumbbells for yourself and once they were located the workout began!

You put a timer for an hour and promptly 10 minutes in you have managed to successfully tire yourself out. You never were the most athletic or physically inclined and Joltik is doing circles around you as he does little tick pushups and the Rattata family wrestle around. Exxon and Eevee seem to be duelling while you can only imagine what your former Gible is doing to a pillow.

Gasper is targeting his piece of cardboard laying small embers to improve his accuracy and by the time the hour was finished, you were exhausted and simply collapsed onto the sofa.

You turn your head to see that your Pokemon seem to be pretty happy as a physical activity seems to be their thing and your arms are too weak to pet them, those dumbbells made sure of that.

You weakly stand up and stretch as the sweat trickles down.

Let's go to the stone shop.
>>
After the workout you decide to take a shower to make yourself all neat and clean and put on a new pair of clothes, hopefully, you won’t have to change again.

Once dressed you quickly check in on your Pokemon to see if they are all ok before hopping onto the computer once more.

You are serious about this whole Pokechampion dream and all so a little bit of research on how to obtain that title is important and the first step is to obtain all 8 badges in your region. Baby steps though, you still need to beat the second gym leader after all.

Searching around you find a few routes towards Boston, the location of the second gym. Aeroplanes and Trains would get you there very fast but the magical bus only costs around $26, the offset being that it may take 4+ hours depending on the traffic which may be a nightmare.

A train trip would cost around $131 but you will arrive much quicker at around 3.5 hours, maybe a bit less but of course, more expensive.

The quickest way to arrive in Boston though would be by plane and you would arrive within 1 hour. The cost for that though would be around $200 dollars, the most expensive but also the fastest.

With that, you quickly closed the tab and had a clear thought process, in order to beat the gym leaders you need to get stronger. In order to get stronger, your Pokemon will need to evolve through training, some Pokemon can only evolve through special conditions and one of which is the evolution stones.

Thankfully, you know the location of a store that holds these items and more with the only drawback being price, something you can now afford.

Currently, you have $1884.97 with $2500 being kept safe by your mother, in order to buy one of the said stones you will need to withdraw some.

I don't think we need to evolve eevee just yet, afterall even without the stones we still have about 5 other evolutions still, rather than that why don't we give a call to that fisherman and see if he is up for some fishing otherwise if he know any good spots for us to fish.

Rolled 1 (1d2)

1-No shopping trip, straight to the fisherman
2-Withdraw the money and go to the shop

(You can still go to the old man after the shopping trip)
>>
You think about it for a good solid minute, its still early in your journey and Eevee is doing fine as she is, so perhaps needlessly using this much money is a waste.

You gotta play smart with the cash, use it only when necessary and not to spend too much at one time. That's how you quickly run out and become homeless, self control is a wonderful trait.

Still, wasting time is not something you want to do anymore, it all about that grind and what better than to possibly get a new Pokemon? You think about Pokemon you still may need and water types do come in mind. They are quite useful and plentiful if you know where to look.

Who better to talk about this than Bill’s grandpa! You got his number so might as well use it and he would probably be overjoyed with someone coming with him on his fishing trips.

With your phone, you ring him up as it rings a couple of times before he finally picks up. “Hello? Hello, who is this? Can you hear me?”

“Hey there old man, how are you doing today?”

You can hear him mumble to himself a bit before you could hear an audible gasp of realization: “Ah Andrew it is you, what brings you here today?”

“Well, I heard, and saw you are a fisherman so I was thinking we could have a little fishing trip in like an hour or so.”

“Oh? OH, that is great! I was just about to go fishing. Would you like to join me? My grandkid is also coming, Bill, remember him?”

“Of course I do! Should I bring anything? Fishing gear or what.”

“A rod would be a good start but I can pass you one of my old ones, I can take care of the bait.”

“Great then sounds like a plan, see you soon.”

You turn off the phone and shove it into your pocket before gathering up the Pokemon and informing them of the game plan before thinking about your next plan.

You crack your knuckles, though fishing is where you are going you can’t neglect the Poke training.

You gather up A-team and head out towards Greenbelt, considering the time limit you have a battle or two may be all you could fit in if you wish to be on time for the reeling appointment.

You trod along the paths towards the park. It was rainy and you didn’t bring an umbrella but thankfully it was an only light rain so it was manageable.
Not many people out considering the weather but a few people are still taking their walks.

You follow the paths too, keeping an eye out to see if anybody looks promising enough for a challenge but one person caught your eye, and they are quite the familiar face.

With an Umbrella overhead and an Aron walking beside him like a dog Kyle seems to have had the same idea as you.

“Oi Kyle! How ya doin buddy?”

His head snapped backwards at his name being called and once realizing that it was you, waved and trodded over with Aron close behind.

“Heyyyy Andrew, what brings you here with this weather and no umbrella?”

“I could ask the same about you, minus the umbrella part of course I just didn’t check the weather and was too lazy to take one out.”

“Came here to train a bit more, y’know? Since we got that badge it seems only natural that it is about time I move on.”

“I had the same idea, if you wanna be the champion you need all 8 gym badges.”

“Yeah I know, but you gotta be strong too since they ain’t no joke. You gotta take on the challenge to get better and thinking about it now, what better challenge than to face you? You kicked my ass before and we are both out here to improve so why not finally have a rematch?”

“Well, if you are challenging me then I can’t really refuse, can I?”

“Now that's the spirit! Let's get this show on the damn road!”

You give each other a nod of confirmation before taking a few paces backwards than turning around to face eachother.

The rain softly patterned onto the grass as you stare, ready at any second to pull out a Pokemon.

This moment is then broken by Kyle:

“Oh, wait do we wanna bet on anything?”

This really feels like one of those old Samurai movies, two guys staring eachother down before shit hits the fan.

You don’t know if it was the atmosphere or what but at the same time you both had reached into your belts and released one of your Pokemon.

On his side is Cloyster, he did say that he was going to that weird store so now you know where most of his money has gone, and much to your disadvantage.

On your side the heavy hitter Carcharodon roars onto the field as he shakes himself from the rain as it pours down his face and black scales, they both stare each other down just as you two have.

Cloyster is quite the problem especially to Carcharodon who is a ground/dragon type, otherwise known as double weak to ice attacks.

Thankfully you take the initiative as he quickly breaks up the ground as a sandstorm now engulfs the nearby area as the rain is replaced with swirling dirt, but very very faintly you could still hear the pitter-patter in the distance.

>A sandstorm kicked up!

The swirling debris hits the Cloyster across its thick shell, though it may be evolved it is not immune to the storm.

>Cloyster is buffeted by the sandstorm!

Its mischievous and somewhat disturbing face within its shell appears as Kyle wants to see this duel ended fast with his victory using Aurora Beam!

As the sandstorm kicks up into full gear as it swirls around you both in its makeshift arena Kyle prepares his final assault.

Carcharodon pulls his two arms together to cover his torso as he goes into a turtle type shape protecting his head and most of his central body.

“Ha, you fell into my trap!”

From within the depths of the Clamshell comes forth a beam of what you can only assume is the Aurora Borealis conjured from its abyss as it blasts straight through the field and directly onto Carcharodon!

The beast cannot withstand a move that is 4x effective and the same type as its user, with so many things against him he could not hold out.

He is blasted with the power of pretty cold colours as he collapses onto the ground at your feet.

You kneel down to check if he is ok and just as suspected, out cold.

It seems for Kyle, powering up his Shellder was the correct move on his part and he finally learned some type of matchups.

“One shot, one faint. I really am getting better! The score is 1-1 now Andrew, let's keep it going now.”

You recall Carcharodon before standing up and watching the sandstorm subside in exchange for the rain to fall on your spot once more.

“I certainly was not suspecting that but you won’t fool me twice and I WILL get my payback for this Kyle.”

You give him a good-natured smile as the flame of rivalry ignites between you two.

The next few moments you offer each other goodbyes as Kyle has to return home and now you have one unconscious Pokemon and a fishing trip to get to.

We may be interested on getting a water type at some point, however. Do we have any plans for the future members of the team, at least type-wise?

Well no more time to fool around, its fishing time! Before that, though you gotta bring Carcharodon back to speed at the Pokecenter.

One walk later in the now pouring rain and getting all your clothes wet you manage to enter the Pokecenter. There are some cops around most likely still gathering some evidence or perhaps just to make Nurse Joy feel a bit safer considering that there is now a ‘help wanted’ poster at the front asking for a security guard, 2 or more.

You get over to the front and bring our Carcharodons ball for Nurse Joy to handle as she pops from behind the counter with an Audino beside her.

“Ah Andrew nice to see you again, last night was a bit crazy and I do have to offer my thanks for taking care of those guys. Even though I didn’t know they were there BUT we can ignore that for now.”

She hastily grabs your Pokeball and gets to work on healing it up as you lean on the counter and wave at one of the cops and idly standby waiting for her to be done.

Eventually, she is done and hands back Carcharodon as you put him on your belt.

“Thanks again, let's hope something like that doesn't happen again.”

Seems she is still a bit giddy about the attempted robbery last night, don’t know why since she thought it was still a power outage back then.

Now its time for the fishing as you get the location of where the old man wants you at NY Fishing Harbour. Seems pretty self-explanatory about why they named it that so looks like you just gotta get up and rolling.

The trip over was quite long and constant checks with the old man to confirm you are still coming but eventually, you do get there.

As you walk along the piers you can see him wave you down as he already has a little boat either rented or bought-out and from what you can tell a bunch of rods and presumed bait too.

You can see Bill still on the pier loitering around and when his Grandpa notices you he turns his head to offer his greetings too.

“Glad you can make it on this rainy day, why don’t you have an umbrella?”

“Yeah I forget it, now let's get to fishing shall we?”

The old man helps you and his grandson onto the boat as you now get an impromptu lesson on boats and fishing basics.

You and Bill both patiently listen while making sure the boat is safe and secure as he brings you both to his favourite spot before the actual fishing starts.

After the old man gives his fishing 101 guides and both you and Bill are on the edge of a feeling you can only describe as a combination of death and boredom you are finally allowed to go fishing.

Bill opens a little compartment with the supplies and passes over a pretty good looking rod and a box of worms.

You are kinda surprised that those still exist but its best not to think about it as you prepare the rod for the deep dive.

You are basically micromanaged onto the side of the boat where you proudly throw in the reel and watch it sink as the rain falls down on hard, probably going to get you a cold but offers quite the serene experience when waiting patiently.

Bill throws his line in the opposite direction of you as his grandfather supervises both to make sure nothing goes awry.

After a bit has gone by you feel it: a bite. That little nimble that alerts you something has taken a bite, then the tug that alerts you to start reeling it up!

“Hey, I think I got something!”

Both turn their heads over to you at the excitement that you are shouting out as Bills grandpa rushes over to help you reel and soon after you both pull the line out of the water as a Mantyke gracefully flies through the air and you are bewildered by its natural beauty as it glides through the rainfall.

It was a darker coloured blue Mantyke with white spots all over it, like a starry night.

The Mantyke is freed from the reel and from the looks of it you have upset it greatly with the fishing rod and not too keen to come peacefully.

Who better to deal with a flying manta ray then Joltik, the electric type?

You swiftly bring his ball to your hand and release him onto the boat, the rainfall is making this quite difficult for Joltik considering his size so you scoop him up and offer your shoulder for him to rest on.

The Mantyke gracefully flies through the air as Joltik lets out a little hiss towards it and with his many eyes focuses straight on ready for an attack.
