Believe it or not this hasn’t been abandoned and picked up by a fourth QM. Now let's continue shall we? approximately one year ago, there was a solar eclipse and, during that period of darkness, Pokemon appeared upon the Earth. It took only a small period of hysteria before people embraced the Pokemon and, within months, the first Pokemon Tournament was held in Tokyo, Japan. You are Andrew Gwan, a broke 18-year-old living with his mother in New York City. After graduating high school, you decided that your goal in life would be to become a Pokemon trainer and win the 2nd Annual Pokemon Tournament. After winning a tournament hosted by Subway we decided to take a little trip to Montauk where we found another Pokemon and a new friend. Soon after you manage to find out that another tournament is being held at Greenbelt Park with a $5000 cash prize and the chance to challenge your first Gym Leader if you manage to win it. With the help of some Japanese Guy larping as Ash Ketchum and your new friend who uses a Zubat (now Golbat) as his ace you are gonna take this victory because it's probably being recorded on Youtube and if you lose it's gonna be immortalized on the internet. >312 days until the start of the World Tournament Previous thread:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/4504928/
Rolled 14 (1d19)A total of 16 teams means that this tournament might take a bit. It seems that the event organizers shuffled the team numbers a bit to see who would be fighting and guess what? You are up first. You quickly gather near Satoshi and Kyle so that when your team is called up they won’t have to wait for you to find each other. Thankfully a couple benches were set up nearby so you won’t have to stand as the audience starts to make their way into the very quickly made stands. Actually it's kinda impressive how many were made and from what you can see there is a minimum of 200 people watching in person, it's probably a lot more then that but you can’t be bothered to do math right now. In a stroke of goodl uck you can see Dennis near the bottom of the stands so atleast he isn’t up to something retarded again. 10 minutes later everything is ready, the Referee has arrived and the first 2 teams are called to enter the field. A quick handshake is shared between both teams before going to their places. You have never been the center of attention of such a huge audience before and you can feel your stomach fucking around but you quickly calm yourself and get your hands on the Pokeballs like a Gunslinger, waiting for the whistle of the Referee to signal the start of the battle. A Japanese LARPer and 2 guys fresh outta high school vs 3 Trench Coat wearing redditors. It can go either way honestly. >Who do you send out first? >Gasper (d19)>Gible (d28)>Joltik (d35)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VHvOeuy_Ak&t=1sWith the blow of the whistle the familiar sound of the Pokeball releasing its contents filled the air. You decided to take out your trusty candle: Gasper while Satoshi decides to use his Trapinch and Kyle uses his Shelder. On the opposite side of the field It seems these guys came prepared for poison types. Directly in front of you is some type of bug in a shell while it seems Satoshi is facing a hermit crab and Kyle is facing a Sandile. You saw the name of that one in a documentary. Though you got lucky with the matchups it seems they came prepared for something like this as before you could say anything that little shellfish moved quite fast for some reason. It quickly positioned itself for an attack. You order Gasper to brace itself but then you heard a loud ass snore coming from inside that little shell. You can see its trainer smirking from across the field like a dumbass so that's not a good sign. To your left you can hear the cry of another type of Shell as Kyle orders his Shelder to use ‘Razor Shell’. You could see the edges of the little guy sharpen up as it leaped straight towards the Sandile. No way this works right? Holy shit it worked, it worked so well in fact that Shelder hit it directly on the head and launched it out of the arena. It hit a patch of dirt a couple metres away. The Sandile tried to get up but once it managed to lift its head... it promptly collapsed. The Referee raises a red flag towards their side: “Sandile is unable to battle!” Kyle quickly glances over to you and in return you give him a thumbs up. On your right you can see the little hermit crab hop towards the right of the Trapinch and slash at its side which seemed to do quite the number on the poor guy, but he is one of Satoshi’s Pokemon and by the power of friendship or something the Trapinch fucking bulldozes that side of the arena and collapses all the ground it brought up straight onto the Dwebble and knocking it out. The Referee raises the flag again: “Dwebble is unable to battle!” The crowd goes absolutely fucking ballistic at the fact that 2 pokemon were insta KO’d by your team in the opening parts of the battle and it seems even the opponents are shocked that this even happened. Soon enough it's Gasper’s turn. >What will Gasper do? >Ember (d41) >Hex (d41)>Will-O-Wisp (d100)>Confuse Ray (Sandile and Dwebble got so fucked by the rolls back here.) “Ember!” The good old fire from the candlestick trick shines once more as the embers engulf the poor shellfish, but it seems unlike the other two it seems this one is much tougher. Probably thanks to the shell for its defence. Despite that though nothing can ever escape from Gasper’s flames unharmed and harmed it has been, quite greatly as you can see that it is less than half ‘awake’ as before. The cheerings of the crowd is getting louder as the battle heats up with the next two Pokemon entering the field for the enemies. To replace the Sandile a little fire centipede that looks like a carpet appears, don’t know how that is gonna do against Shelder but he may be desperate. As for the Dwebble: some type of bipedal, blue coloured… thing showed up. You don’t actually know what to call it or refer to it as but in time you can probably make a connection. You take a quick glance at Gasper to see that for some reason it is getting drowsy, that might be a bad sign. >Switch out Gasper? >To Gible (d28)>To Joltik (d35) >Keep Gasper in Current Order of battle:Karrablast (21) Shelmet (14)Gasper (9) Shelder (4) Trapinch (3) Sizzlepede (1) (updoot tomorrow as its 11 over here and I need sleep. You have some type of foresight able to predict that the yawning is gonna fuck up Gasper real soon so its better to switch him out to Gible (still no name). Gible seems quite energetic when he comes out as he gives off a little roar to the joy of the crowd. You can see a couple of them taking pictures. Though it seems Gible won’t be making the first move as Karrablast starts regurgitating what appears to be acid and spraying it all over to the weakened Trapinch. Though it seemed that the acid itself did not do much damage to the Trapinch the outside parts of it are starting to melt a bit. That has to be pretty painful. >Trapinch’s Special Defence has lowered by 2 stages! Gible gives off a little roar to indicate he is ready to make his move and you happily oblige: >Who Will you attack? >Shelmet>Karrablast>Sizzlepede>What will Gible do?>Sand Tomb (d42) (d100)>Dragon Rage>Sandstorm >Take Down (d42) (d100) New Order of battle:Karrablast (21) Gible (13) Shelmet (5)Shelder (4) Trapinch (3) Sizzlepede (1) (Good Morning, how is your days so far?)
>>4544790>Shelmet>Dragon RagePretty good.
Gasper did some pretty good damage when he was out so Dragon Rage should finish it off. You order Gible closer before you yell ‘Cmon, Dragon Rage!” The purple flames spew from Gible right onto the Shelmet, or more accurately: right into its shell. The crowd does the stereotypical ‘Ooooooo Ahhhhh’ when seeing bright/glowy things and once Gible is done spewing his terror the Shelmet was thoroughly cooked. The Referee waits a second to see if it was still conscious but Mr. Trench Coat signals to him that he is in fact out of the fight. The Red Flag goes up once more: “Shelmet is unable to battle!” You can hear the words ‘Razor Shell’ echo once more as the Shelder leaps towards the flaming centipede and smacks it across the field with its sharp edges. It bounces on the ground before landing and for a second you can see it attempt to get up, but unfortunately water is stronger than fire and it collapses. The referee raises the flag once more: “Sizzlepede is unable to battle!” and Kyle cheers alongside the crowd. How is he getting this lucky? As for Satoshi’s Trapinch it seems he too is quite lucky as despite being injured heavily and weakened he has enough strength to hear ‘Bite Him!’ as he grabs the Karrablast and bites straight into its small form. The little guy stood no chance as he was then swung side-side from within Trapiches mouth before being thrown back towards its trainer. The Referee gets up again with the Red Flag and announces: “Karrablast is unable to battle!” You quickly share a group cheer at how well things are going right now. >Switch out Gible? >To Gasper (d19)>To Joltik (d35) >Keep Gible in (d28) (Shelmet couldn't do shit against that Dragon Rage. Also your teammates are getting some funky rolls.)
Rolled 15 (1d28)Keep going gible
It seems Satoshi and Kyle have pushed the limits of the other two as now they are left to their third Pokemon or otherwise known as their ‘aces’. Kyle and Satoshi both switch out to Aron and Roggenrola respectively as they remember what they faced yesterday. In response to Aron a Butterfree was set out and for Roggenrola: Beedrill. Opposite to you though you can see Mr. Fedora thinking for a second. He then resolved his internal dilemma as he brought out Spinarak. Why would he bring out his ace already? Something seems off, maybe it's because he gave off a cartoonish evil laugh. You on the other hand decide that Gible is gonna stay in the fight. You quickly prepare yourself as it seems the enemy took the initiative once more as Butterfree attempts to use the move that incapicated Kyle’s Zubat for an entire battle: “Sleep Powder!” It flies into the air before shaking its wings and sending the powdery substance down towards Aron but it seems Kyle has prepared for this as thanks to Butterfrees positioning since it was basically rushed into that move and Kyle having a memory slightly better than a Goldfish's he gets Aron to quickly dodge it and manages to avoid being put to sleep again. Current order of Battle: >Butterfree (31)>Gible (15)>Aron (12)>Roggenrola (9)>Beedrill (9)>Spinarak (10) >Who Will you attack? >Spinarak >Butterfree>Beedrill >What will Gible do?>Sand Tomb (d42) (d100)>Dragon Rage>Sandstorm >Take Down (d42) (d100)

>>4545491the d41 is the normal attack roll while the d100 is accuracy, I don't make you roll it unless its not a 100% chance of hitting
Type advantages are really useful but those don’t really matter if your Pokemon misses his attack by an arena sized difference as Gible launches his Sand Tomb nowhere even close to the spider. You can see the dust settle in the distance as that is where Gible decided it should go. In response to the miss Gible simply looks back at you and gives you some type of shrug. You can hear the laughter coming from the other side which really hurts your feelings. Aron on the other hand has much better success as he manages to land a ‘Rock Tomb’ Directly onto Butterfree and with its barrage of falling rocks one of them manages to hit its wings and you can see it slow down, attempting to recover from the injury. >Butterfree’s Speed has been lowered by 1 stage! On Satoshi’s front you can hear Satoshi yell “smack down!’ as Roggenrola leaps into the air towards Beedrill but it seems Spinarak has something else planned as before he could do it the little spider had somehow managed to sneak behind Roggenrola and smack it from behind! This though appears to not have worked very well as Roggenrola simply brushes it off and with Satoshi’s orders he goes back for Beedrill and in a sight similar in a move it smashes it straight onto the ground. In response the Beedrill gets up and readies itself into an attack stance and raises its little Drill arms towards the sky and releases what appears to be some type of battle cry as it focuses its energy. >Beedrill's Critical hit ratio has been increased by 2 stages! This is the perfect chance to switch out Gible but perhaps you want to avenge yourself for that horrible performance. >Switch out Gible? >To Gasper (d19)>To Joltik (d35) >Keep Gible in
>>4546118>Keep Gible in
You decided to keep Gible in, he has to avenge himself from that mediocre performance. Butterfree though weakened and slowed by Aron’s ‘Rock Tomb’ is still faster and instead of using that obnoxious sleep powder move decides to create a beam from its forehead straight onto Aron but it seems Kyle has gotten sick of this Butterfree’s existence as Aron held firm against the Psychic attack and apparently being made of Steel and Rock is very good against such assaults as Aron stands triumphant yet wounded against the Psybeam, much to the anger of the enemy trainers. You can hear them shout something about Beedrill getting pumped up and ‘sweep’ but they must be coping. Gible gives you a little roar to signal you that he is ready to attack>Who Will you attack? >Spinarak >Butterfree>Beedrill >What will Gible do?>Sand Tomb (d42) (d100)>Dragon Rage>Sandstorm >Take Down (d42) (d100)

Welp, guess we're exclusively going with dragon rage, at least for now.
>>4546350Just don't roll low Seeing as Beedrill just buffed itself it takes priority over the others and so you switched Gible’s focus towards it and used ‘Sand Tomb’ once more. You hold back the urge to cry as Gible decides that the most tactically efficient move is to instead use it on the same spot as before. You can feel the Gaze of Kyle,Satoshi and basically everybody in the audience. Thankfully Kyle decides to take everybody's attention away from Gible and you by dropping even more rocks atop of Butterfree. You never knew what the face of pure despair and misery was until you saw the face of Butterfree’s trainer as Butterfree was fucking obliterated by a massive amount of rocks Aron decided to pull out and throw atop it. The referee pulls out the red flag once more: “Butterfree is unable to battle!” but before you could get back to the battle he continued speaking: “Jason has run out of usable Pokemon! Jason has been eliminated!” Oh yeah, that was his last Pokemon too. Kyle fist pumps the air at this and the crowd goes wild. Since Gible missed again the Spinarak decides that you are not that big of a threat and instead goes for Roggenrola again to most likely soften him up for Beedrill. Once again you manage to lose track of it but see it reappear behind Roggenrola and smack its back once more. Just like before though Roggenrola tanks the hit but you can see it did a lot more damage this time around. You can now see Roggenrola and Beedrill going head to head after Spinaraks sneak attack. They launched at the same time and for a second: time stood still. In the end though, Roggenrola came out on top as he smashed Beedrill straight into the ground by pure luck that he hit first. The referee pulls out the red flag again: “Beedrill is unable to battle!” you continue to listen so you can confirm: “Mark has run out of usable Pokemon! Mark has been eliminated!” Satoshi sharing in Kyle’s delight also followed his example and fist pumps into the air before putting his hat sideways and getting into a different pose. The only Pokemon left are that of the one you were facing. You can’t let Satoshi and Kyle get all the glory, right? >Switch out Gible? >To Gasper (d19)>To Joltik (d35) >Keep Gible in Current order of Battle: >Gible (15)>Aron (12)>Spinarak (10) >Roggenrola (9)

It seems Gible really doesn't wanna use Sand Tomb so you decide to go with ‘Dragon Rage’ and combined with Aron raising his little metallic paws up and unleashing ‘Metal Claw’ managed to take down the Spinarak with cheers from the crowd to boost your ego. You can see Mr. Fedora recalled his Pokemon and took out his next ball right before the Referee raised the familiar red flag: “Spinarak is unable to battle!” Satoshi switches out his Roggenrola to Pikachu and Kyle switches to Golbat. Better safe than sorry, right? You can see a devious smile pop up from across the arena, wasn’t the Spinarak his ace? >Switch out Gible? >To Gasper (d19)>To Joltik (d35) >Keep Gible in (d28)
Rolled 5 (1d35)>>4547193>To Joltik (d35)
You decided to bring back Gible since you want everybody to participate at least once in this battle so you brought out Joltik. As for your enemy, it seems he may have had two Spinaraks since his Spider was much larger. The minute he brought out the Spider though Kyle and Satoshi began their attacks. First up was Golbat who decided to get up close and personal to fight the Ariados as he swooped down and attempted to bite the large Spider but it seems that was not very effective as the big spider just tanked it. Pikachu on the other hand decided to immobilize it and from what you could piece together from Satoshi he used ‘Thunder Wave’. You could see the lightning spark off the giant ass spider as it attempted to attack the Golbat, much to the anger of Mr. Fedora. You really need to figure out a name for that guy but doesn't matter, this is your chance! >What will Joltik do? >Electroweb (d32)>Thunder Wave >Bug Bite (d25)>String Shot

When you brought out your little soldier the audience let out a bunch of: ‘what?” since the guy was so small they could not even see it. Not even the Referee could see it until you pointed it out. Out of your entire team, Joltik was the one that is the most battle hardened from your guess thanks to the scar on its eye when you found it. That theory is only proven more correct when the tiny Joltik, not even the size of Ariodos’s leg manages to conjure up a Web of Electricity so large that it managed to completely envelop the giant spider. You could hear it holler in pain as it attempts to slowly move out of the way. >Ariados Speed has lowered by 1 stage! You can tell the Ariados is on its last legs and the audience is silenced after that amazing scene. >Switch out Joltik?>To Gasper (d19)>To Gible (d28) >Keep Joltik in (that 8 really did almost get Ariados killed)
>>4547737>>Keep Joltik in
Joltik is gonna see this battle to the end and that is exactly what happened. With one final ‘ThunderBolt’ from Pikachu the behemoth was taken down. A whistle was blown by the Referee “Ariados is unable to battle! Francis has run out of usable Pokemon! Francis has been eliminated!” His name was Francis? You think Mr. Fedora is a better name to call them him then that but your thoughts are quickly drowned out by the sudden loud cheering of the crowd and the Referee calling your win. As a sign of respect in the league after the battle you must shake hands with your opponents and to not break tradition you decided to meet with ‘Francis’ at the middle alongside the others. You shake the hands of his teammates before shaking his hand and when you do he gives out a small chuckle. “I didn’t think my team would be wiped away that easily, we didn’t even get a single one of your Pokemon! Eh well, it was a good fight though it seemed your friends did most of the work this time around.” You pan over to Kyle and Satoshi to see them subtly flexing on the other two but that is not surprising. You give the man a ‘good game though’ before heading back with the other two towards the contestant waiting area to get your Pokemon healed by Joy. That little area is a small bit away from the arena but you still have a full view of the entire thing as two more groups are called up. One of them being that of Natasha and Fishermen’s grandson. While you wait you feel Kyle’s hand on your shoulder. “We really got 'em good, didn’t we?” You just respond with the “We curb stomped them.” Which managed to get a laugh out of him. A quick look around also reveals the fact that Satoshi has just disappeared but he left his Pokemon with Joy. Knowing him he is probably doing some wacky but he is competent so you aren’t that worried. As for the other contestants you can see them whispering about, probably about you as they are staring right at you and Kyle. If that wasn’t worrying you can already feel the gaze of a certain person: Dennis. How did he manage to get here? Why did he decide to sneak in here? More importantly: how did he get in here? >Cont

You gave the signal for Joltik to continue conjuring it up and soon the little guy released an electric ball that he hurled towards a nearby patch of grass. It was clear that he was just demonstrating and he saw that you were impressed he started scratching his head like he just forgot something but soon just shrugged it off and crawled up your clothing to your head. >Joltik forgot String Shot! >Joltik has learned Electro Ball! Gaper is just idling about and Gible is sticking close to your legs currently. Kyle just finished collecting his Pokemon from the healing station and Joy and soon returned to you. “Yo, where is Ash Ketchum 2?” “Beats me, he just does whatever he wants and somehow it works.” Right on cue the Japanese man in his favourite cosplay outfit comes strolling by with some snow cones that he offers you and Kyle. It would be rude not to accept right? It was about this time you started thinking about what you should do. >Go speak with Dennis before he does something stupid >Make a plan with Satoshi and Kyle (what?) >Talk with Joy (what?) >Enjoy your snow cone until your next battle comes up (just realized I forgot to put in the write in option during the battle. >>4548601>Go speak with Dennis before he does something stupid
Its best to make sure Dennis doesn't do anything that could ruin your chances so you quickly get over to him while the boys wait around. You can see him crouching behind a small box as he whispers to you: “Yo is that a snowcone?” “Yup”“Can I have one?” “No” “Damnit! Ah well, I saw your battle and that was pretty good though it seemed your team did the brunt of the work during that one.” You gave a mildly pissed off look as you continued with your snowcone. “But you still did good heheh, either way I can get two more Pokedexes tomorrow for them.” “I doubt that is the only thing you came to say to me?” “Not at all, I managed to scan a lot of Pokemon here but if you can scan anymore Pokemon here that would be great. Also I think the gym leader arrived a small bit ago.” Now that is something actually interesting. “Oh shit, when?” “Around 5 minutes ago but I can’t really confirm it other than the fact he had a Venonat and was being flanked by two others and wearing purple.” You nod at this info before pointing towards the bleachers “That's great now go back before you get caught.” He nods quickly before crawling away like the cretin he is. Now that he is gone you can peacefully finish your snowcone before doing something else. >Make a plan with Satoshi and Kyle (what?) >Talk with Joy (what?) >Talk with some other contestants >Enjoy your snow cone until your next battle comes up >Write in
