Last time, you continued exploring the Dark Church and made two very important allies in the form of:

Vivienne Neuville, an ex-member of the cult and third woman to have encouraged you to spank another girl despite having literally just met, something you’re still not sure how to feel about but don’t necessarily hate... Regardless of that, she’s totally on board with your mission to free the slaves today.

And Carol Sung, AKA Yung-P, a famous idol and your lovely wife. Or at least that’s what she’s pretending to be right now. She’s not exactly a good person but not necessarily evil either. She’s cowardly, annoying, vain, and acts nothing like you’d expect an idol would. You want a divorce...

You are all currently at the main destination of your mission, the secret floors. Vivienne is off on her own right now looking for the crystal piece on this floor and Carol is just enjoying herself, probably at the expense of the brainwashed girl with a surprisingly pleasant butt. You feel bad that you only know her as that so you’ll just continue to call her your assistant, maybe you should ask her for her name but you think most experts would agree that now is NOT the time for that so you’ll worry about it later. You, on the other hand, are with the brainwashed girl with nice boobs. This one you actually do have a name for – Calin Walsh – though you kinda doubt that’s her actual name. You’re trying to break her out of her hypnosis with less than satisfactory results. It seems cringing her out of it won’t work this time so you’re gonna have to try something else!

“Is this everything for the interview?” The ever professional Calin wonders after trying to do very unprofessional things with you.

“I’m not sure, give me a second to recollect my thoughts.” So far, you’ve learned that cringing her out of the hypnosis is not working, but you need to know why.

It’s necessary to step back and ask yourself why the cringe worked before and not now. Did you do something different? Was it the nose boop? You didn’t boop Holly’s nose though, only Posie’s… Maybe it’s having some type of physical contact beforehand? It could be a trigger of sorts, but that’s too convoluted of a reason, isn’t it?

Maybe you’re not producing the desired effect, like you’re not being cringy in a way this poor girl can recognize. Yeah, you’re shit at flirting and said a bunch of embarrassing things, but based on what you read in the report, she never had anything even close to a boyfriend, right? Perhaps it didn’t have an effect because she’s so desperate for affection and inexperienced in life that she wouldn’t mind dating someone shitty like you. Poor girl.

Or you’re looking at this wrongly, perhaps you aren’t actually cringing them out of their curse? No, in fact, maybe Scarlet was right! Somehow they fell in love with you! A completely far-fetched theory full of holes that shouldn’t normally be worthy of discussion, but that’s not the point. It’s a strong emotional response that might do the trick.

But they are brainwashed to feel and act one way for a kinky purpose, so cringing or making them fall in love shouldn’t be a way to break it or else this ability would be pointless, at least to be used this way. In fact, the report has a written list of traumatic events and fears, which would mean Ammirati uses them to cause strong reactions, so it isn’t that simple. On that same train of thought, it’s possible that you’re at a point where the hypnosis is too strong for you to do anything at this point… No, don’t let negativity get the best of you.

You’re missing one piece of the puzzle. Feels like it’s evident. But what is it…?

“Boss, I don’t like the distressed look on your face, is there anything I can do for you?” A nervous Calin wants to be of help.

How do you respond?

>“It’s fine, Calin. This interview is over, you’re free to go.” You don’t have the time for this.
>“Tell me about you. I want to know more than what these reports say.” Make her brain work outside of her programming.
>“Could you come here? I want to give you a hug.” Maybe touching is important?
>“Can you give me a massage?” Your back is stiff…
>Write In.

Votes:

Votes are counted until 25 minutes have passed. This rule doesn't apply to the last reply of the day.
Votes that require a dice roll are counted until 15 minutes have passed, so we can speed up the process. Rolls are counted until 10 minutes have passed, so be prepared!

(NEW) Dice Mechanic:

We always roll 1d100s!
Since most people weren’t happy with the system of averaging top four rolls, we’re using best of 2/3/4 depending on the attribute a prompt requires. If Johnny is a genius and it’s a Knowledge based roll, he gets more rolls (Max. 7)! If he sucks, he gets less dice (Min. 2)!

When asked for rolls, I will specify how many you’re going to get. Rolling begins after it’s asked.

Rolling 100 is a critical and ignores all other rolls! In the same vein, rolling 1 means a critical failure (only for Very Hard rolls and above).
>>
>>4325701

The difficulty of the roll is tied with the effectiveness of the action. In other words, the harder the option the better the result!

Don’t forget that at the end of the day, this is a story-driven quest! What the prompts are describing is more important than the difficulty of the rolls, for results in a fight.

Again, rolls are only counted when they are posted within ten minutes of being asked, so watch out!

“Talk to me about you. I want to know more than what these reports say.” You want to make her brain work outside of her programming. Also if a girl shows you her nice boobs, you feel inclined to know more about them – a quirk of yours…

“E-Every bit of important information about me is on these reports, sir.” Calin appears to be bewildered by your request. “And you postponed the demonstration of my other qualifications you’re interested in.”

“Y-Yeah, I’m not referring to those.” You don’t want your wife to kill you. “I want to know about you outside of this work environment, like what was your life like before coming here for example.”

“I was nothing until this company gave me a reason to exist.” Calin proudly responds. “I owe it all to you, sir. Thank you.”

“Tell me what you do outside of work hours.” You’ll ignore what she just said.

“I go home…” Calin’s eye is twitching. “And continue to make progress with my office’s work. We need to complete our goals for the company to succeed.” Calin goes back to normal.

“What’s your home like?” You wanna know.

“I-It’s a 2 floor house, I live with my parents…” Calin is acting weird again.

“What do you do in your free time there?”

“I usually come home t-t-t-t-tired, so I watch TV, do the dishes and cook for tomorrow…” Calin is fidgeting.

“Hm, weird, you said that you make progress on work. What are your parents like?”

“I didn’t lie, sir. I can do both. I hope this isn’t affecting my interview negatively.” Calin is getting nervous and confused. “As for my parents… they are… morons.” Calin is really acting up. “P-Pardon me, that’s no way for me to talk.”

“So what do you do in your free time while you aren’t working?”

“I train to be more efficient at work, sir. I’m fully devoted to this company” Calin smiles.

“C’mon, you must have some type of hobby.” You tease.

“I-I do e-enjoy reading c-comic books.” She’s once again twitching.

“Which ones are your favorites?”

“I-I e-enjoy fantasy s-settings, s-sir.”

You don’t need to be a genius to understand that she’s acting up when she’s trying to fill the gap in her programming. Is this somehow making progress to turn her back to normal or is it just one of the perks of the brainwashing? Do you even have the time to find out?

What do you do?

>“I love them too, what draws you into them in particular?” You wanna know more about her hobbies!
>“So what do your parents think about your hobbies?” Trigger more memories.

“So what do your parents think about your hobbies?” You want to trigger more memories in her.

“T-They believe they negatively affect my life, distract me from bettering myself and each time they see me enjoy them, they try to deter me from doing so by throwing petty remarks and scolding me.” Calin was struggling at first but then she recovered.

“Why do they believe that?”

“Those are my moments of self-indulgence, sir. For all my life they’ve see me as lazy and uncooperative.” She smiles, she’s talking more naturally now. “I’m glad I work for this company, thanks to this opportunity I’ve been able to prove them wrong.”

“They really believe that about you?”

“Of course, they did. As a daughter I’ve been nothing but a disappointment, I’ve been struggling all my life to be anything even close to useful, the few and far between chances people gave me – I squandered them.” Calin sounds more eloquent. Weren’t triggering her memories supposed to make her act up?

“So I imagine your parents being more proud of you now, right? How did they react to all of this? You’re employee of the month after all.”

“My… parents….? My job is a waste of time…? I have no future… I'm worthless…” Calin is squirming violently for the first time. “My parents are very proud, they see no better future for me than working in this company.” Calin acts like what just happened, didn’t happen.

“Are you okay? What just happened?”

“Better than ever, sir.” Calin smiles. “You don’t know how glad I am to be here.” Now her smile feels emptier than ever before.

Well your level 3 knowledge mind has two conclusions: One, Calin remembering things outside of the brainwashing makes her mind lag and contradict between the things she knows and this makes her act up as well. Two, it felt like she gained more confidence while you were trying to make her remember more about her parents, the ones she obviously dislikes.

…You feel like you’re getting close to an answer. But you need a moment.

How do you respond?

>“I think you have a lovely hobby and your parents are wrong about you.” No cringe or jogging her memory. Try to make her happy, the real her happy.
>“Do you hate your parents?” Be blunt.
>“You're a lovely woman, but our time here is up. You did great in this interview.” You don’t have the time to think this over and figure this out now, so it’s better to just leave.

“I think you have a lovely hobby and your parents are wrong about you.” You will try something new, you hope it works somehow.

“…” Calin doesn’t react to what you just said.

“I don’t know exactly what genre of fantasy, but it doesn’t matter, I love them too. Tell me, which comics are your favorites?” Better to continue talking than stopping, you think.

Huh...?” Calin, as robotically as your assistant, tilts her head in confusion. Her voice struggled to come out of her mouth.

“Too many to say? I get that, I struggle to pick out my favorites too when someone asks me.” You scratch the back of your head. “Maybe you can show me your collection, it’s going to be easier that way.”

“My… Parents…” Calin is squirming again. “aren’t… wrong.”

“I’m sure they are. I bet all the chances you mentioned they gave you were unfair, I know in the right circumstances that you can do much more.” It worked for you, at least.

“How… can… you… say… that?” Calin looks upset amidst her twitching. Her eyes are flashing blue for some reason.

“Because I believe in you.” You think she seems nice.

“Why…?” Calin is breathing heavily. You think it’s working! You don’t know what exactly, but it’s working!

But this could be a make or break moment. You need to be careful…

How do you respond?

>“Because I love you.” There’s your chance! Hit her with the cringe now!

“Because I love you.” There you go! Before you didn’t set this up correctly, but now there is some type of expectation on her part to hear something heartfelt or cool, but she will get the worst line you could deliver at this moment to break her out of the curse! Perfect timing! You’ll demonstrate just how monumentally wrong Scarlet is! You’ll show everyone that nobody can fall in love with you…! Wait, why is your ego stat going down…?

Upon hearing your words, Calin acts like she was slapped right on the cheek, as she recovers from the whiplash she looks at you – her face all red, her expression shy. After breathing heavily for a second, she averts her gaze down, and starts absentmindedly playing with her hands again. “…” Calin is trying to say something, she has her mouth open but no words come out. Is it possible that the hypnosis really was too strong? Or maybe she’s just so embarrassed by that lame display that she’s at a loss for words?

“Are you okay, Calin?” You’re a little worried.

My name is not Calin...” She whispers in response.

“Oh my god, it worked! You’re free from the curse!” You jump in excitement! The very skittish Not-Calin turns around and stares at you with wonder. “How are you feeling? What’s your name? How much do you remember? I hope you don’t remember the last part ‘cause it was pretty cringy.” You’re so happy to know it works. Eat shit, Scarlet!

“I didn’t take it that way, sir. You’re quite charming.” She smiles. “W-Would you like to go on a date?”

“Eh…?” Wait, she liked it?! That would mean….!

The conference room opens in one sudden burst!

“Time is up.” It’s Vivienne! You don't have any more time! “We need to get moving.”

What do you do?

>Ask Vivienne for 5 more minutes.
>Follow her and take Not-Calin with you to ask her some questions.

How do you respond to Not-Calin?

“I just broke her trance.” You inform first while putting your mask back on, doesn’t seem like Vivienne saw your face – so that’s better. Good thing you were facing away from the door.

“Marvelous. Do you need more time? 5 minutes at max.” Vivienne is being pretty reasonable but demanding.

“No, I’ll take her with us. I still need to ask her some questions.” You stand up and put the chair back in its place. You’re not rude. “Is that okay with you two?”

“Y-Yes.” Not-Calin snaps out of her new little trance, stands up and quickly gets by your side.

“Let’s proceed then.” Vivienne steps out of the conference room.

But before leaving, you address Not-Calin’s proposition.

“By the way, sure, I would love to go on a date with you. But as you can see, we’re in trouble right now.” You accept the date. “Also, I would like to know your name first.”

“I’m so glad…” The poor girl looks ecstatic, covering her face with both hands.

“Hey, So Glad. You can call me Phil for now.” You throw what you think is a Dad joke. Your dads never threw jokes, so the fuck do you know if that’s a real thing or not. You’ll keep your real name secret until the other two are gone.

“Hehe, m-my name is Emily Noble.” Emily coyly looks away from you, then she looks back to you with anxious eyes but words don’t come out of her mouth.

“You want to know what’s going on?” You wonder.

“H-How did you know?” Emily sure is surprised.

“I guessed. Let’s go outside, I’ll explain along the way” You shrug.

You two come out of the conference room! Vivienne and Carol were waiting for you. Carol is being massaged by a couple of girls while sitting on one of those uncomfortable chairs.

“How scandalous, my hubbie and his employee together…? I can’t believe this. We’re going to have to divorce or open our relationship, and either way I’m not willing to discover how unattractive my body has become after years of bad drinking habits.” Carol half-assedly pretends to be bothered. “At least don’t make it that obvious, button up her shirt.”

“…” Emily has been pulling both sides of her shirt closer to not show much of her cleavage since you step out of the conference room, you try not to look anymore. Now she’s getting embarrassed by it.

“Emily is not brainwashed anymore, she understands everything you’re saying – so please be nice to her.” You clarify to Carol.

“That doesn’t explain the shirt.” Carol stands up and shushes her slaves away. She ignores the true meaning of what you said.

“A girl my size is used to wardrobe malfunctions…” Emily looks down. Carol looks at you with a ‘can you believe this girl?!’ kind of face.

“Enough blabbering, we’re not interested in how your bust size has affected your life. The Crystal Piece is not here.” Vivienne puts everyone back on track. Emily looks deeply confused by Vivienne’s comment. “What were your findings, Mr. Noon?”

“I know a way to stop their brainwashing, and I’m pretty sure I understand how much control we have over them. I don’t fully understand how this place works though.” You explain briefly. “I still need to ask Emily some questions to corroborate what I know.”

“I made my own findings, it’s no big deal…” Carol begins explaining how this place works.

From what Carol has gathered, Ammirati uses this floor to bring all the unprepossessing sex slaves and makes them work out until they reach a good enough level of attractiveness to get promoted to the next floor. The workers don’t know exactly what’s up there, but it’s just better there supposedly. They also transcribe the information from the reports they got from other bases and members of the cult (since they all are written by hand) to the computers here for easier access for Ammirati. The last part of the information was corroborated by Vivienne.

“But why not send the information online or something simpler?” You feel like it’s too convoluted.

“Secrecy.” Vivienne dryly responds.

“I made the girls delete our names from the files and compile them for you.” Carol hands you an USB stick. “Here is everything you need, it’s a lot – you’ll need someone else to check this out.”

“T-Thank you.” You didn’t expect Carol to be this cooperative.

“I still want the divorce.” Carol jokes. “Just make sure your mistress doesn’t open her mouth about us.”

“Y-You’re YUNG-P, right?” Emily is starstruck. “I-I’m a big f-fan…”

“I’ll sign whatever you want if you keep your mouth shut, all right?” YUNG-P acts like her idol self for a second to convince Emily. “Heck, I’ll sing for your birthday party if you want.”

“You don’t mind if it’s only a party of 2?” Emily tilts her head. You’re going to try to make it a party of 3!

“Care to explain the reason you’re acting so casually?” Vivienne interrupts this signing.

“This doesn’t feel real.” Emily plays with her hands.

“Because it isn’t! It’s all a dream!” Carol is desperate to make Emily ignore what’s happening by waving her arms.

“Stop lying.” You glare at the idol.

“I mean, what was the end plan here, anyway? We woke one of them up so they can rat us out? How are we going to explain this?” Carol is having a little meltdown.

“…………..I didn’t actually believe he was going to succeed.” Vivienne is sincere.

“I told you that he’s a big deal! Bernie. Is. Afraid. Of. Him!” Carol keeps complaining. “I thought you were smarter than this! What’s your plan now, Vivi? Don’t say murder! She’s my fan!”

“Can you not talk like we aren’t here?” You chip in. “Emily, could please answer our questions? We’ll make sure you’re going to be fine in return.”

“Ask away, Phil. I don’t have much to say though.” The obedient Emily smiles.

In short, Emily barely has any idea of what happened to her. The last thing she remembered was being invited to some pyramid scheme meeting from work, then something happening there and from that point onwards she has vague memories of working here at the office – and then goes straight into meeting you. She seems to understand everything now after listening to you and the others talk about what’s going on.

“No memories of Bernie? Of other people coming? Anything?” Carol wants more answers.

“…I hate to disappoint, but it’s all I can do.” Emily plays it off as a joke.

“Don’t say that.” You shake your head.

“We’re running out of time.” Vivienne checks the time. “I need propositions on how to get them out of here now.”

“Now? Why? We probably have another group to deal with, we’ll raise suspicion if we take one group first and then another.” Carol is not up for it. “We have the time to group them together and all leave together.”

“That seems so nice of you…” You raise an eyebrow.

“Hey, maybe someone up there is a fan of mine, and I can’t leave anyone who supports me behind, haha…” Carol pretends to be nice yet again.

“She knows we won’t have the time to do it and we’ll escape on our own.” Vivienne is one honest gal.

“…” Emily seems really irked by Carol’s attitude.

“Thanks for throwing me under the bus, Vivi…” Carol crosses her arms.

“How can you be so sure that we don’t have much time?” You want to ask.

“I imagine the truck with the replacement cables is soon to arrive. It’s all speculative, but I was in charge of changing the old cable system last time and we still have much more to do.” Vivienne informs. “Now I need ideas. Quick.”

You might have an ace under your sleeve… Will you use it?

>“Is there any way we can identify this supply truck? I can send people to meddle with it.” Outside team will have a job to do! But is it a good idea to tell them that you don’t work alone…?
>Stay quiet.

What plan do you go for?

>You’ll group together all the sex slaves before getting out of here just like Carol said. Emily will stay here just in case.
>Take the Office workers first like Vivienne proposed.
>Propose to take a quick look into the next floor by yourself while these two come up with a plan. You promise you will look for the crystal piece as well.
>Propose to take Emily out of here first.

Having a team is pointless if they just sit around and do nothing when we need them

We have a team for reasons like these. Scarlet might actually know what's up with some of this tech too, if we're lucky.

>You’ll group together all the sex slaves before getting out of here just like Carol said. Emily will stay here just in case.
Ask Carol if she knows if that crazy dude she mentioned is under the same kind of control as the girls. We've gotta avoid him regardless, but if worse comes to worse it'd be good knowledge to have, I guess. If he's not on this floor, I'd expect him on either the next floor or guarding somebody or something, probably Ammirati or the crystal shard, in this case.

We didn't gather all these people together just so they lounge around and play Sparks of Luck offscreen! We aren't even paying them and they're acting like this is a cakewalk. Don't they know cult organizations are ORGANIZED? Meaning SOMEBODY will inevitably be competent enough to get things done, meaning bad times for Johnny and his crew? Better get them on that, quickly!
>You’ll group together all the sex slaves before getting out of here just like Carol said. Emily will stay here just in case.
Why not blare to the whole department that Carol is assigned a temporary lead role by the Chief Executive Officer, and that all the brainwashed women have to obey her too? This might make her able to boss the other brainwashed people around to coordinate their exit better when the time comes.

Send the team in the car to intercept the truck before it gets too close. Keep the back-up squad where they are in case we run into trouble

“I agree with Carol here. We need to gather both groups together before attempting to escape.” You side with the idol here.

“I knew there was a reason we married.” Carol celebrates your decision.

“Only if there was a way to identify this supply truck.” You rain on your wife’s party.

“What do you propose?” Vivienne is interested.

“I have people I can send to meddle with it if you know what I mean.” You smirk behind your smirking mask.

“You don’t work alone?!” Carol looks betrayed.

“It was more than likely, Carol.” Vivienne is as stoic as ever, she reminds you of someone else you know. “We use black Mini Trucks. I’ll send them to the nearest Gas Station from here for a routine check, the one they’ve been skipping when I wasn’t here – you do the same with your people.” Vivienne immediately takes her phone out and gets right to business.

You call Bubbles (you love that name) and explain to her what’s going on and what you need from them! All while hearing Queen Bee loudly complaining from afar because you forgot to inform them if you got inside safely – the judge sounded worried. Bubbles tells you that they are going to find a way to deal with them, but advises you to not get into trouble because the group in the van is moving there. Only B-WORM and Honey Bunny are going to be your backup for now. You’re going to need to be careful...

“We’ll trust your men, Mr. Noon.” Vivienne says when both calls are done.

“We’re in safe hands.” You believe in them.

“I really hope that’s the case!” YUNG-P is really a pessimist. “Now what do we do? It’s your plan now, Phil.”

“We’re going to look for the other group. Emily, you stay here just in case.” You call your assistant near you. “Emi— I mean, Calin here has been temporarily promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Understood?”

Processing… Understood, boss!” Your lovely assistant walks away and gathers everyone’s attention again, you know where this is going.

“Am I really staying here? Is there anything else I can do?” Emily doesn’t look comfortable.

“Outside could potentially be more dangerous, but there is something – I need you to find this girl, Genesis Testudinata.” You ask cordially as you show her your phone with the girl’s pic. “I’ll come for you in an hour or so, believe in me, please.”

“I-I certainly will...” Emily puts her trust in you as she blushes. “Be safe, Phil.”

“Here, Emily, have my phone.” Carol hands her phone to her. “Call Vivi’s number if you get in trouble or something odd happens. If someone else calls, just ignore them – everyone knows I don’t really answer my phone, so it’ll be fine.”

“You’re going as well? I thought that you didn’t want to do any of this.” Emily isn’t so sure if Carol wants to help out.

“Yeah, Vivi really needs her best friend around.” Carol smirks.

“Carol tends to exaggerate greatly and seems ignorant to all types of social cues.” Vivienne interrupts.

“Give me your number so I can send Emily the pic.” You request.

“We were going to exchange contacts after this anyway.” Carol accepts and tells you her number- You send the pics through Chat-Now to her phone, and therefore to Emily!

“Phil Noon, if we’re successful, I expect you to hold onto your part of the deal. Understood?” Vivienne wants to make it clear.

“Crystal clear.” You give her a thumbs up.

“Let’s keep going then.” Vivienne walks away. She seems to greatly value your own word.

“Have some fun bossing them around, Emily.” Carol leaves as well.

“Wish me luck.” You take the mask off for her and smile. Emily waved goodbye as her face turned red. As soon as you grab the door, you turn invisible.

You can’t quite really believe Emily finds you attractive. But some people can have shit taste just like Nina! It’s kind of inspirational in a weird way.

You three walk the long hallway to the elevator and onto Floor 10. During the little trip, you asked Carol if the Serial Killer was under the same type of spell as the girls, she confirms it but says that the Behemoth is in Ammirati’s office. You hope the crystal shard isn’t there…

Floor 10 is the same thing as Floor 9 but blue! How uninspired. Well, it’s the same building, what do you expect? A completely different decoration? That would be hype, cool even. Vivienne, you and Carol are waiting right outside the door that will lead to what the rest of the floor has to offer. Carol takes out her debit card and waits for a signal to open the door. Vivienne gives her one simple nod and the idol does her magic…

It’s an undersized, square room with a door on each side of the wall. The wallpaper is a flashy pink with little blue ornaments, the carpet is purple and pretty soft to stand on – you smell a strong fragrance but it’s not exactly pleasant or repulsive, you cannot put it into words. There is no furniture in the room, except for a sign on the wall.

You’re obviously ignoring the most concerning element inside, a sparingly clothed girl near the corner performing the bridge position (at least you think that’s the one) with an old phone on her belly. The phone is connected to the wall.

What in the name of…?” Vivienne, again, plays the part of the shocked spectator.

“Huh, it’s like performance art.” YUNG-P tries to see the artistic appeal.

You get closer to the sign on the wall and read it. It’s a schedule of sorts full of gibberish with a map attached, this place is some sort of maze, one cubicle room next to the other – there is no information on the rooms to differentiate them from one another. It’s all nonsense.

“I think we’re in a maze…” You declare with the little information you have.

“Oh great. Good thing we bought more time.” Carol sighs loudly.

“……………How do we proceed?” Vivienne is struggling to think of the next move, she doesn’t seem comfortable in this place.

What do you do?

“Well, there is a phone.” You point at it, forgetting that they can’t see you. “I’ll handle it.” You put your hand on the voice modifier.

“Slow down.” Vivienne doesn’t want to do it yet.

“What is it?” You almost flick the switch. “By the way, I’m going to disguise my voice – it’s going to sound like Carol trying to sing.”

“That’s uncalled for.” Carol puts a hand on her chest. Divorces are ugly.

“Turn your cloak off. If it’s anything like the floor below, it will need to identify a male for this place to work.” Vivienne raises a good point. It’s better for your head anyway, so you’re not going to complain. “Also, refrain from using the distorter for the same reasons.”

“Right…” You make yourself visible. Nothing happens yet.

“No reaction.” Vivienne states the obvious. “Please, proceed.”

“Should I move the phone to the floor?” You don’t like using this girl as a table. You do it anyway.

“Do as you please.” Carol wasn’t even looking your way.

“She doesn’t react, interesting.” Vivienne takes a close look at Bridge Girl.

You sit on the carpet, next to the phone you just placed on the floor. As soon as you grab the phone handle – Vivienne and Carol get real close to you to hear what’s going on. It’s a little uncomfortable as these two don’t seem to understand how pushy they are being.

“Welcome back to Pleasure Palace, sir. For today’s schedule press 1, to call over one specific girl or girls press 2, to randomize an activity press 3, to enjoy Pleasure Palace at your own leisure press 4.” The operator states in simple words.

You roll for number 1. You pull the old phone’s wheel, it’s kind of fun.

“Why did you do that? We didn’t discuss it as a team.” For some reason Vivienne gets annoyed.

“Felt innocuous enough.” You whisper back, you don’t know what her problem is.

Sssssssssshh!” Carol demands silence.

“In Today’s schedule we have the Chess Tournament, Costume Contest, Horse Racing and Trivia Night, in the order you desire as always, sir. Tee-Hee.” The operator informs, she sounds very robotic at parts, just like your assistant.

“Not much of a schedule when you can pick anything you want…” You don’t know why this bothers you so much.

“It’s pretty obnoxious.” Carol completely agrees.

“She’s talking again.” Vivienne prevents you two from commenting further.

“For today’s schedule press 1, to call over one specific…” The operator is only repeating herself.

Unprompted, Carol ‘presses’ 4.

“Stop randomly acting on your own. Explain why you did that.” Vivienne gets annoyed again.

“So Mr. Chief Officer whatever here doesn’t arrange another interview.” Carol won’t let you do your research.

“She’s talking again…” You interrupt these two before they continue.

“Please insert the password, sir!” The operator requests and the call is cut short.

Bridge girl stands up from her position, she’s acting like she has the phone in her hands. You put the machine there.

“Please insert the password.” Now Bridge Girl is requesting it.

“Must be the same one as down below.” Vivienne elbows you. “It’s better if you do it, Mr. Noon – in case she doesn’t recognize a female’s entry.” This again...?

“R-Right…” You slap Bridge Girl’s butt.

“Are you feeling down, sir? That was pathetic.” Bridge girl is quite judgmental.

“That’s kind of funny.” Carol smiles at your expense. You’ll refrain from talking anymore.

“North is where the farm is. West is the Gym. East is the Maid Café. South is the Exit.” Bridge girl announces. “Please have a nice evening, sir.”

Nah, you can’t complain about people splitting up in horror movies if you do the same thing first chance you get. Besides, you sent your team away to gain you more time!

“So where do you wanna go?” You ask the ex-cultists despite already having an idea yourself.

South.” Carol didn’t even hesitate.

“We won’t find your crystal shard with that attitude…” You remind YUNG-P of the possibility.

“I’ll let you decide and be extremely judgmental of your picks anyway.” Carol absolves herself from the responsibility.

“Sounds great…” You sarcastically retort. “Doesn’t matter where we go, it’s going to be a hell of a lot of discomfort.”

“True. Maybe I should stay here…” Carol shrugs. “I’m pulling your hair, I don’t wanna stay here. Hey Vivi, what’s wrong? You’ve been awfully quiet.”

“…………..This place makes me uncomfortable.” Vivienne admits.

“You said that you took a glance of this place once, but everything is catching you by surprise, what gives?” Carol is curious. You never thought about it, but what YUNG-P is saying is true. “A-Are you hiding something from us like Phil did?”

“It doesn’t matter now.” Vivienne is not interested in showing her vulnerable side to you two. “I request that the two of you take charge from this point onwards. I’ll do as you command.” Vivienne is starting to sound like a real bodyguard.

“Are you okay?” You’re starting to get worried.

“You heard me before, it plainly doesn’t matter. If you really care about my well-being, the faster we go through this, the better. Let’s move on, Mr. Noon.” Vivienne will follow. You and Carol look at each other, then back at her. Seems like you’re in charge.

“Then, let’s go north…” You walk forward.

To the farm! You have a bad feeling about this. You open the door…

It’s a larger room than the one before but not by much, a little too wide to be completely cubical – it has the same exact set of the doors, this is going to be the theme here. The walls have been painted to match a farm landscape, the carpet is touched up to simulate grass – the general vibe is pretty childish, like it was a preschool classroom or something because they are not well done. There is a long trough against the wall with undisclosed food in one hole and water in the other, as well as a straw haystack.

And well, a girl only wearing overalls standing in the middle of the room. She looks at you three from top to bottom but doesn’t do anything but smile.

“This is… low budget.” Carol makes the strangest of observations.

“I rather prefer it to be this way.” Vivienne is not as bothered as before.

What do you do?

“You think the shard is in here?” Carol asks, fully knowing what the answer is going to be.

“No.” Vivienne replies. You don’t know if she’s being facetious or just overly serious.

You ignore their little chat and step towards the barn girl.

“Hello there, can you tell us what these doors have?” You politely ask the girl in overalls.

She stares at you for a couple of seconds, then addresses your presence.

“Welcome back, thank you for deciding to pass time with me today. If you forgot, my name is Petra, last time we met I answered your questions regarding my childhood in the countryside, the hardships I went through in my life – my recent struggles with college and my eventual dropout; and you spent 2 and a half hours watching me work on the farm.” Petra robotically explains in the same manner of tone as your assistant on Floor 9. She closes her eyes. “Accessing and restoring my personality…

“Just what we needed, more disturbing stuff!” Carol smiles. And you thought you liked being sarcastic…

“I’m curious about what’s going to happen.” Vivienne stares attentively.

“Hey pumpkin, aren’t you taller than last time? What’s up with that?” Petra sounds like your stereotypical airhead. “Donnnnn’t matter. I like the new funny outfit tho.”

“Eh?” You think Petra is being too casual. Also she needs to answer your question!

“Would you look at that!” Petra looks really excited when she notices YUNG-P and Vivienne. She skips towards them. “These two are fine specimens!” Petra grabs both of the girls’ butts!

GAH!” Carol jumps away like a startled cat.

“This one has a looooot of beef! Yummy!” Petra is having the time of her life.

“………………” Vivienne grabs Petra’s arm. She looks both embarrassed and angry.

“I don’t think this bad girrrl likes me too much.” Petra steps away from the furious cultist. “But with the proper training and a tad bit of love, she’ll change her mind! Thanks, by the by, I really needed more animals for the farm!”

“Ammirati most likely programmed her to see us as nothing but cattle.” Vivienne looks disgusted. First time she hasn’t referred to him as Mr., huh?

“That’s not proper cattle equipment, they should use these.” Out of nowhere, Petra takes out 2 sexy cow outfits…

“Ehem, I’ll repeat my question again. Can you tell us what these doors have?” You’ll ignore what just happened.

“Errr… South is the reception room I think, North is the Hospital, West is the Police station and east is some sci-fi stuff, I dunno. I’m not a nerd.” Petra starts giggling. “You got lost again, huh?”

“Yeah… Does it happen that often?” You play along.

“Duh, I wouldn’t have mentioned it otherwise!” Petra smiles. “I know you don’t like when I call myself an airhead, but you may be more of an airhead than me!” Strangely, it doesn’t feel like you’re talking to a brainwashed person. It’s completely different from Emily before she snapped out of it.

“R-Right, I’ll be going then.” Time to move on.

“Wait, aren’t we going to, like, chat and shit? It really helped me last time!” Petra grabs your arm.

“Let him go, you clingy airhead.” Carol is having fun at least. Good thing Petra doesn’t understand her.

“Maybe we’ll get the opportunity another time...” You try to walk away but she’s holding you tight.

“You’re acting strange, do you have fever?” It was no exaggeration, Petra is too clingy!

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine but I need to go right now, sorry.” Why are you apologizing?

“If you say so…” Petra lets you go but looks heartbroken. Why do you feel bad? You barely know her!

“Let’s go.” You point north to the Hospital Room!

Not too dissimilar in concept, the hospital room is more or less the same thing but with its own spin. Instead of the farm landscape, the straw haystack and the trough – there is poorly drawn medical equipment, a hospital bed and… another bed? You don’t know if there is a real correlation now that you put more thought on it. Either way, there is another scantily clothed gal in the room, you would say it’s a sexy nurse – but Nurse Calamity is a sexy nurse, this is just… well… uncouth? Are you using that word, right?

You turn around and see both Vivienne and YUNG-P in the corner of the room, waiting for you to proceed.

“Ehm… Are you two scared?” You raise an eyebrow.

“We’re taking safety measures.” Vivienne responds without showing any sign of weakness.

“Can’t blame you, I’m really sorry that happened.” You feel bad for them.

“Your comments are appreciated.” Vivienne cordially acknowledges your feelings. “But feel free to continue.”

“Right…” You turn to the… nurse? Doctor? “Hello there…” You wave at the girl.

Cutting things short, her name is Taresya and ‘you’ were helping her with her alcoholism and feelings of inadequacy last time. Now she’s back to ‘normal.’

“Hmm, it’s nice to see you back I guess.” Taresya appears to be irked by something. “Are you taller?”

“Can you tell me what these doors have, please?” You try to get to the point before she realizes the other two are in here.

“So you’re just lost again or are you feeling dizzy? No need to answer, I’ll do a checkup. You’re too much of a liar anyway.” The doctor looks around for her utensils.

“That won’t be necessary, I just want to know—”

“Tch, I got that. It’s not my problem that you built this place and you keep getting lost. Tell me where you want to go and I’ll tell you how to get there.” Taresya looks really pissed now.

“Where could I go?” You ask. Maybe she can give you an idea.

“You could stay here.” Taresya glares at you like it’s obvious. “We could have a chat, y’know? I want to know more about you. No, you don’t need to tell me. You’re busy. Which room can you go? The main hall where all daily activities happen, your own room: the king’s room or, I don’t know, out?”

Even if it could be a trick, you don’t have another lead, so you better check the King’s Room. You ask Taresya where it is, she begrudgingly tells you that you need to reach Room 13. You need to go to the right from here and then upwards. You cordially thank her for her time despite her not being willing to tell you what’s up ahead.

“If you really cared, you would’ve stayed. You’re just like everyone else.” Taresya is really being judgmental here.

“I’m s-sorry, I’m in a hurry.” Why do you feel bad? This ain’t your fault!

Whatever.” Taresya closes her eyes and turns around to ignore you. She sounds really hurt.

You indicate your two unlikely associates to come over to the right door where the unknown lies ahead. You three leave the grumpy Taresya to be all miserable on her own.

It’s a medieval room, you get the picture at this point and it’s getting stale, a shit castle painting, an old timey bed and one wooden pillory. The girl in this room is wearing Bikini Armor... The only difference is that there is no door on the right side. Since you don’t have to interact with her, you tell Vivienne and YUNG-P to continue following you to the door up north! To the final room (maybe)!

As soon as you open the door, a strong scent bursts out from inside, reminiscent of the one at the very first room you entered on this floor. The King’s room is made out of blue velvet and it’s larger than all the other rooms in size, in fact everything here looks bluer than normal – and the only exit is the one behind you.

It has a king sized bed, a TV on the wall directly in front of it and a full bookshelf next to the bed. There is also a bathroom with glass walls and a curtain inside on the side. Similar to Bridge Girl, there is a girl with her hands and knees on the carpet, acting as a table next to the bed. She has a piece of wood on her back and on it there is a book, an old telephone and a remote controller. There are other girls as well, all standing straight with their backs against the walls – all of them holding random objects… Their outfits vary but they are all pretty slutty.

Also there is a pleasant lounge music sounding from two of the speakers in the corners of the room.

“This is the King’s Room.” You present the room without fanfare. “The crystal might be here.”

“Call me pessimistic, but I think this is just another stop in pervy station.” Carol doesn’t look confident.

“There is a plaque here.” Vivienne notices on the wall right above Table Girl. “This is Belen, she asked me to stop objectifying women. Now she’s my table.” Vivienne reads out loud.

“That’s messed up.” YUNG-P tries to take the moral grandstand after almost laughing.

“I agree.” You shrug.

“………….Let’s search the place.” Vivienne wants the crystal shard.

Well, since you’re looking around and the blue is getting kind of annoying, you’re going to use Philonune’s ability to cycle through different types of vision to search around. You’re not exactly sure how this is even going to help, but the more information you discover, the better, right?

“Anything caught your attention?” Vivienne notices you looking around in a different way than before.

“No, I’m just looking around…” You don’t seem to find anything worth reporting on, no stains anywhere, no sparky thingies, nothing. You were expecting those kinds of stains if you’re being honest but everything looks clean surprisingly enough.

“Analyze the bookshelf.” Vivienne commands you. It seems she has her courage back. “It’s obvious you’re doing something.”

“Yeah, really obvious…” Carol is relaxing on the bed, barely paying attention.

“I wouldn’t be sitting there if I were you, don’t forget where we are...” You jest.

GAH!” Carol jumps out of the bed like a scaredy cat again. She lands on the carpet.

“I’m joking.” You had a little fun.

“It’s no time for jokes, Mr. Noon.” Vivienne wants results now. “Carol, look under the bed while you’re at it.”

“Fine…” Carol moves away the sheets and looks under.

“Any results?” Vivienne asks you about your research.

“Er… Nothing.” You shake your head.

Vivienne immediately starts going through the bookshelf. She takes a book, looks at its title and puts it on the bed unnecessarily neatly, one on top of the other perfectly in place. It seems she thought you were analyzing for traps so that’s the reason she went ahead with her research.

“Nothing here but his smelly slippers…” YUNG-P shows you all the alligator slippers, you can tell that they’re alligators because they only show their upper row of teeth but what kind of idiot doesn’t know that? “I’ll keep looking around.” She stands up and walks away, looking at the objects lying around in the girls’ hands.

You look again at the bookshelf and now that there are some books missing you noticed a little detail, there is some kind of safe behind!

“Look into the books.” Vivienne gives you an order.

“Wait, I think I saw something…” You point at it. “Is that some kind of safe?” What kind of cheap spy movie villain shit is this? This is the type of stuff Scarlet would imagine! You don’t know why you expected a little bit more…

“Excellent work.” Vivienne seems pleased. You help her move the bookshelf out of the way.

It is indeed a safe, it has a control panel with strange inputs for another password – there are no butts to slap this time. The password is 6 digits long.
>>

“Hey, hey, hey.” For the first time, YUNG-P looks excited. “I think we’re close to what we want!”

“We only need the password.” Vivienne looks at the safe with curiosity.

“…Why?” Carol is confused.

“We don’t want to force it open.” Vivienne doesn’t seem too keen on using excessive strength.

“Why would we do that? Can we use the stupid app instead? I mean, it works with guns, it must work on something like this…” Carol proposes.

Maybe you can suggest or side with someone.

What do you do?

“Wait, are these the rooms?” You realize now that you take a closer look at them! Whoever worked on these symbols sucks at designing them. But now that you think about it, all of the rooms have poorly made drawings. “Maybe we should try to guess the password. The less we deviate from what normally happens here, the better.”

“I certainly agree.” Vivienne has your back but you can tell she just really wants to solve this puzzle.

“You just looooove wasting time, don’t you, Phil?” Carol sighs loudly.

“I mean, I did marry you…” You deadpan.

“…?!” Carol looks shocked.

“Ehem, let’s continue our analysis.” Vivienne enjoyed that. “You said these were the rooms, what role does that play in this?”

“Knowing Bernie, none probably. This is just your everyday panel but with these stupid symbols instead.” Carol seems sure of it.

“Therefore, we assume these are for flair, correct?” Vivienne is trying to get everyone on the same page here.

“Yeah, Telephone is 1, Police hat is 2 and so on.” Carol points at each one.

“Unless, it’s a keyboard number pad. Therefore Telephone would be 7, police hat 8 and red cross 9 respectively.” Vivienne brings up an important point.

“Taresya mentioned that this is Room 13, so all rooms are numbered. And if telephone is the first room, that means it’s number 1.” You give your two cents.

“That’s what I said.” Carol shakes her head.

“Not exactly, it’s a coincidence. For example, we don’t know what the crocodile’s number is.” You explain.

“That’s not a crocodile. That’s an alligator.” Vivienne points out, she has strong feelings about the subject.

“M-My point still stands.” You don’t know what’s up with her. “We don’t know the other numbers.”

“Why would Bernie of all people make things this complicated?” Carol doesn’t buy it.

“We should stop pretending that we know what Ammirati is thinking. None of us have any explanation as to why the floor below us is the way it is, and this place has a convoluted layout as well.” Vivienne stops Carol’s line of thought. “It being unnecessarily complicated is not something we should dismiss.”

“You have a point…” Carol admits. “Even if we figure out the layout, what could the password be?”

“999998.” You think. “It’s the password everywhere else and it has 6 digits.”

“I was about to say the same.” Vivienne believes that’s the password too.

“Three seconds ago you said we should stop thinking that we know Bernie, then you assume THAT’S the password? C’mon…” Carol is against the idea.

“The challenge here is to figure out the layout.” Vivienne sees this as a game. “Logically speaking, it would be close to impossible to remember or to solve otherwise.”

“No, it wouldn’t be. What are you talking about? It’s a password, not a game. You don’t want anyone to find out.” Carol pouts.

“Indeed, but if it was more complex than that, Ammirati would have to write it down in case he forgot – and he didn’t.” Vivienne stands by what she said.

“All the girls said he has pretty poor memory, so it’s a fact.” You chime in. All the brainwashed girls basically gave you a short summary just to jog your memory.

“Or it must be somewhere around here…” Carol starts looking through the books on the bed.

“It’s possible, but I believe unlikely.” Vivienne states with confidence.

“Why is that?” You ask.

“Accessibility.” Vivienne responds with one word. “Ammirati wouldn’t want to come here to scavenge through books.”

“Maybe he has a favorite book he always looks into! C’mon, Vivi!” Carol won’t stop with her pursuit. You gotta give it to her, she’s really trying to help here.

“Carol, all those books are exactly the same.” Vivienne points out. She’s right!

“…Damn it! Why is everything here so stupid?!” Carol makes one of the books bounce on the bed.

“I feel that…” You agree, it’s just too weird. “Then let’s figure out the layout.”

“I realized something before, but I’m not sure if it works.” Carol scratches her cheek. “So, remember the map in the first room? It was one cube next to the other, and it’s pretty much what we have seen until we got here.” Carol asks for Vivienne’s phone and starts scribbling something on an app. A poorly drawn layout. “See? So the previous room should go from 1 to 9 like this, so we should be in room 10, 11 or 12 – not 13. But this room is larger than the others, so maybe it ate one of those? Maybe we’re in room 12 and 13?”

“I understand, then if we number the rooms in sequences…” Vivienne writes the numbers on each square. “We know what symbol represents what number now based on the places we have been.”

“So Phone is 2, Farm is 5 and the hospital is 8…” You think you got it, but like YUNG-P pointed out, something is off with this room… It only has one exit as well…

“But like I said, this shouldn’t be room 13, so I don’t know.” Carol sighs.

What do you do?

>Go back one room and ask Bikini Armor Girl what room she is in.
>Use the password based on the last thing you discussed. It’s the room layout!
>Use the password based on the first thing you discussed. It’s just the numbers disguised!
>Write In.

Is the password ‘999998’?

>Yes. Ammirati wouldn’t trust the password with anyone and wouldn’t write it down either!
>No. There is obviously something more!
>Write In.

Would Bernie really be stupid enough to use the same password everywhere? He has bad memory, apparently.

Consider the following:
From the phone room where we came in, we could have easily gone east into room 3, then 3 rooms up to room 12/13. The path WE took to get into the King's Room isn't necessarily the path Bernie himself might have taken a vast number of times. Then again, the room layout must be key to something at least - Bernie wouldn't have the themes of the rooms be relevant to the safe combination then. He would just have the raw numbers on the safe without any association to the room layout whatsoever, right? As in, there wouldn't be themed icons on the number pad of the safe, there would simply be 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and nothing else.

“No, I still think this is it.” You’re confident. “It’s worth giving it a shot, don’t you agree?”

“More enjoyable than standing around.” Carol just wants to get this over with. “I hope we get another shot ‘cause I don’t think that’s the password.”

“Please proceed.” Vivienne gestures at the panel with both hands. “Using the rules we’ve established, the code should be Knight 5 times and Red Cross once.”

You wonder why you’re the one who has to do this…

“I have my fingers on the app.” Carol takes Vivienne’s phone and is ready to activate the Crimzone in case of an alarm or something. Vivienne did fail to do it last time…

“Right…” You stretch your hands. “There is no confirm button, right?” Maybe it’s the Alligator button?

“I believe you need to turn the handle.” Vivienne replies with an air of disappointment in her voice. She should give you a break, you’re not a criminal, you’re not used to intruding in stranger’s safes.

“Here goes nothing…” You start pushing the buttons…

You insert Knight, Knight, Knight, Knight, Knight and Red Cross. You turn the little handle, the safe makes a clicking noise – the screen now reads ‘Open’. Not much of a puzzle, but you did it.

Your collaboration paid off! You gained +2 Knowledge for deciphering this poorly thought-out puzzle! You feel like you’re close to leveling up.

“I’m so glad I changed teams.” Carol’s smile is full of contempt for the Cult leader.

“Marvelous work everyone.” Vivienne looks content, by her standards at least.

You now actually open the door to display the contents of the safe…!

It’s another control panel. Now the keys display the faces of other cult members: Vivienne, Carol, Valdemar, the bald guy from that one time, the old guy from the other time, some random ass dude and Queen Bee – not in that order.

“There’s more…” You halt the girls’ happy moment. You see a little note.

“Take that back.” Carol threatens you. It’s not your fault!

“Is that us?” Vivienne looks at the panel. “There is a note here: Note to Future Me: just pick your favorite one! You have one attempt or you won’t be able to unlock the safe for 24 hours. How exciting! …………..I believe I truly detest this man.”

“He put Mark in it?!” Carol looks repulsed.

“Absolutely disgusting.” Vivienne’s words have so much disdain.

“Who?” You wanna know.

“He’s the embodiment of second-hand embarrassment.” Vivienne explains. “A revolting Chancellor who, and I say this in loose terms, practices ‘magic’. He’s incompetent, awkward, unlikeable and has a way with words to make you cringe in pain. He calls himself ‘The Great Markgician’ for example. And I firmly believe the only reason he was promoted is because Ammirati finds hilarious how everyone else despises his presence.”

“Sheesh, tell me how you really feel…” You almost feel like it’s personal. Surely that can’t be the only reason, right...?

“Not even a brainwashed girl could laugh at his jokes.” Vivienne digs into him even deeper.

“If he performed at a funeral, the deceased would walk out.” YUNG-P cracks a joke.

“I get it… I get it…” That Mark guy really touched a nerve… “So we’re in a new predicament, right? Who do you think is Ammirati’s favorite?”

Me.” Both girls exclaim in unison, they look at each other, confused.

“…” You raise an eyebrow. “Can you girls be a little more objective?”

“Pardon me, Mr. Phil Noon. But he totally loves my performances, and I’m the most important flame user he has – so it’s clearly me.” Carol believes that 100%.

“Once I demanded Ammirati to cease the filthy activities he was performing here, he acknowledged my request and stopped. He never listened to anyone else’s pleas. He has me in the highest regard.” Vivienne seems proud of this fact.

“Yeah, sure, that’s why there are no sex slaves here, right? Vivi, do you often get scammed or what? I’ll keep your bank account safe after this, believe me.” The always sarcastic Carol argues back. It’s like watching children fight to be their parents’ favorite child.

...Obviously, you were your mom’s favorite anyway, there was no discussion in your household. Ame can have Joel for all you care.

As those two continue yapping about who’s Ammirati’s favorite. You decide to take matters into your own hands and make a choice, a simple one, he doesn’t have any favorites – but how can you tell a screen that that’s the answer? All you can come up with is touching all the keys at the same time.

“I know what to do.” You exclaim out loud to have everyone’s attention.

“You do?” Carol doesn’t quite believe it.

“He doesn’t have favorites. I’m going to push all the buttons.” You reveal your conclusion.

“I believe otherwise.” Vivienne remains stubborn.

“No, let him. I had the feeling we were going to end up busting it open from the start.” Carol is already thinking ahead.

“Ready or not, here I go…” You don’t appreciate the lack of support, but what can you do?

You push all the buttons at the same time! The panel ends up falling backwards like a piece of wood. You’ll rectify that, it is some kind of piece of wood – it wasn’t really even a panel, just a charade to make you waste time... You touch it just to confirm that it’s a piece of wood with rubber, like a board game or something.

“So, yeah, it isn’t real.” You pull the fake panel out and show it to the girls. “Hilarious…” You aren’t laughing.

“I just don’t get that guy, I really don’t.” Carol is almost as tired as you are of all this shit.

“Instead of worrying about a meaningless piece of wood, could we direct our attention to what’s inside?” Vivienne calmly diverts your attention to the real objective here.

“There’s a box.” You take it out of the little vault, there are some papers too, but those don’t matter for now. “It’s black, and it has a keyhole…”

Carol presses her head against the wall upon hearing that.

“It’s open though.” You show its contents…

It’s the Crystal shard in all its magnificence! You actually found it!

“Yes! Yes! Yeeeeeees!” Carol is jumping in place. “I’m so happy that I just want to hug someone! Embrace me, Vivi!”

Get away from me.” The delighted Vivienne responds. Carol hugs her anyway to Vivienne’s dismay.

“Here, it’s all yours.” You hand the box to Vivienne. She pushes Carol away to grab it.

“You’ve honored your word, Phil Noon. You have my thanks.” Vivienne gives you a little respectful bow.

Now let’s get out of here!” Carol starts walking away.

“We’ll free the slaves as we promised.” Vivienne didn’t even acknowledge what Carol said. You see the idol facepalming.

“Oh right… How could I forget…?” Carol sounds disappointed.

You’re glad that nothing especially dangerous has happened so far, but now this is where things are going to get a hell of a lot more complicated…

Sadly, this is all we have for this thread, thanks for playing!
