...and 4chanX being bloatware that nobody else is masochistic enough to fork or maintain. 4chan-x is >1MB, the native extension is 166KB and core.js 26KB and catalog.js 51KB.

We could use the resent happenings to think about what we actually expect from an extension for 4chan, and how we get there.
Rather than going the 4chan-x direction and combining everything to one bloated script with features nobody uses, it would be great to have a large set of small userscripts with individual features that extend the native extension.

Post your ideas of features that you like or individual userscripts here, it doesn't matter how shitty they are, they can be then improved to a stage where they are shareable later.
I will start with a userscript that changes the filename of a posted image to a random timestamp within the last year, changes its hash and encodes it with shitty compression level:
https://pastebin.com/ZDwvYiTu
Its supposed to work on multiple sites, not just chans, and it's just a quick hack .... but it worked so well that i didn't have to look into it since i made it two years ago.

You would think an authority figure would be intelligent enough to not pour gas on a fire, with any memes.

You fix the problem by banning them from this website. They'll eventually get bored of their little project if they can't interact on the website they made it for.

Then it's still discussing something that violates US law. That kind of topic is real bad for any legitimate website because the more illegal activity is brought up as a point of discussion, the more people who participate in illegal activity will feel welcome, which inevitably leads to the posting/sharing of illegal content. That's why it's totally and harshly banned.

When someone is posting something that seems even a little off from what you would expect in a respectful, on-topic discussion, they're probably a troll or shitposter who is in it for themselves, and not the topic. If everyone stopped responding to them, the website would change overnight.

If you've been on /int/, you know who I'm talking about.

Why are mods refusing to take action on him?

Can't have a single thread on /int/ (and other boards) without this fucking retard ruining it with his yellow fever obsession.

That's what should happen, but it won't, hiro would rather run a large shitposting site that will earn him a lot of ad revenue when he finally does put ads on 4channel, than a small discussion imageboard.
>>
>>2960882
>a large shitposting site that will earn him a lot of ad revenue
The sad part is that this website has a hard time pulling in money because it's financial and social suicide to have your name here in an official capacity. Because Hiro is a genuinely greedy and selfish conman, he won't simply cut the pain and headaches out of the equation by moderating properly, and securing a more stable and secure income. He always thinks there's actual potential to make more money off a larger, but objectively more difficult and worse userbase. I can't figure out why he's trying to compete with the big social media sites, because they have near advertising immunity through their reputations, while this website is rightfully dumped on because of its reputation of being bad for basically anyone involved. Even twitter does more good for fans and hobbyists. Hiro is currently fighting a battle that literally can't be won.
>>
>>2960884
>The sad part is that this website has a hard time pulling in money
lolwut?

The servers get paid by ad money and feds.
Ad money makes the site owner's wallet fatter.
Moot's account got hacked in 2015 and the threat actor revealed moot made a little bit over 250k USD with 4chan passes alone from 2014 to 2015, which means chinkmoot is probably earning 500k USD with 4chan passes because there are more users now.

I don't care about yellow fever posting.

I'm a lot more concerned about the Russian mod. Is that dumb faggot finally gone? I haven't been in that shithole in a while.

I like this idea, but only if you can't overturn CP bans unless they're ages old.

Mods get a checkbox when they issue a ban that indicates it can't be overturned with a paid token. It can only be appealed.

Instead of bans, we should force spammers to fill out 100 or more captchas before they can post again.

You can make your own imageboard with self-improvement with a theme but it will be overrun by white supremacists who think they're saving the white race by getting fit, getting jobs and impregnating desperate 1/10 hamplanets, mgtows and blackpilled incels who will insist that there's no point in trying to improve one's self. These groups of people will make up 99% of your traffic.

I love /ck/ but they keep getting rid of the best bits. Dino tendies was fantastic, and I liked having the alcho's there too, they just kept their suicidal depression to their own thread, Jack threads spread a little too far and the memes are all pretty bad, but I still like them.

Homo

ironic isn't it? frogposting is on a downtrend site wide but still going strong here on /qa/, all because the original tranny weeb mafia cadre autistically rallied against it 24/7. now pepe is going to occupy space on /qa/ long, long after it is dead as a meme throughout the rest of the website.

similar to anime, now that you think about it.

Pepe gleefully exists enjoying the simplest antics and Wojak is his eternal victim. He does not have the social skills and networking of Wojak. His luck alone carries him along. Wojak strategizes in vain against Pepe's chaos.

A few days ago I was banned for a censored NSFW image yet that's not what the global rule says. It says spoilered pornography as in as far as I know means porn behind the spoiler tag in the reply box. Can I have some clarification here because if this is the case then wouldn't half the entire blue board user base would be banned?

That's because /v/ became the new home of alot of /b/tards around that time when /b/ got sick of all the 420chan squatters and I'd also say all the dicks helped them move but I think they liked those.

Idk, is 50% of userbase "some"?
>>
>>2961448
I do remember there being a lot of off-topic stuff on /v/ back then, like those "pizza tipping" threads.
>>
>>2961452
The worst threads in the early 2010s, before 2012, imo, were really on-topic threads, like console wars and dark souls which got so bad they had to make /vg/. And I like dark souls, but those threads were spammed to hell.
