as much as I hate Saraya and want her to lose the belt as fast as possible as revenge for Shida, it just can't be Toni who beats her right now. She can't win the belt back yet while she is doing the new gimmick. If she wins the belt back she will no longer be insane. The whole driving motivation of the character is that losing the belt drove her to madness. If she wins it back that's dead in the water then. She should get incredibly close tho, maybe get a visual pin while a ref is down and then lose the match in total screwjob fashion by Ruby/Saraya. She's gonna end up a babyface anyway so it won't hurt to do that and plus it will give her something more to gripe about it.

At the time, and by her own admission, she had a long way to go before being ready for that kind of match. So it was rewarding to see her grow and improve as much as she has over the year to be in a place where she was able to get the chance to do that. The match itself was part of Stardom's 5 Star Grand Prix, which is essentially their version of the G1. There wasn't a ton of outside story around it other than it just being a scheduled match, so for Giulia to give her that moment after was very cool to see.
