How is your /tew/ game going /pw/ ? What era and company are you booking at the moment?I'm booking 1993 WWF, working on replacing Hogan, but I'm not sure who the next big babyface should be, Warrior has the popularity but he's injured at the moment.
>>10290727im wcw in 1998, about to complete my first year, i have rocketed above the wwf in popularity because i got thunder on NBC somehow and now i have near infinite money
>>10290822most recent show
>>10290822this episode of thunder is the highest viewership ive ever gotten in tew
>>10290822How are you handling the NWO storyline?
>>10290822you should make wwf have smackdown to even things out between wcw and wwf
>>10290949It's not really money that is the difference maker, the AI is just kinda broken, like they aren't very competitive when you try to steal top guys, like one you rip away a company's top 2 or 3 guys they're basically fucked, unless you cheese it like I did once, and push Mike Tyson as a main eventer.
>>10290975do you still run b shows like saturday night or worldwide cause wcw had alot of b shows until 98 when they ended main event and wcw pro but kept saturday night till 2000 and worldwide till its closure
>>10291006I'm not the one in this thread booking WCW.
>>10290727What version of tew do you guys play?
>>10291102I've slowly started booking 2020, after years of playing 16, and being inspired by the last TEW thread here. I'm having fun with 2020 but it feels a little soulless compared to 2016.
>>10290874i'm not fuckin working thunder you kidding me?
>>10290727need some save ideas. I don't like playing WWE/WCW sized companies in these games. Thinking of doing some unusual shit like trying to get Jeff Jarrett's GFW on TV or reviving my local territory
>>10290902in the beginning of 98, Savage Nash Konnan and Syxx left the NWO and slowly turned babyface and created the wolfpac (not the NWO Wolfpac). The NWO has been losing member and power all year since sting took the world title, but Hollywood Hogan, Curt Hennig and Scott Hall remain dominant forces.I Brought In Kane from the WWF and named him the Disciple, i had him doing a winning streak for a while but then i made him tap to the torture rack on a random Nitro before The Disciple was to have a much heated casket match against the giant at fall brawl, now ive been jobbing the disciple to my stars like ddp, goldberg and sting just to basically say WCW guys > WWF Guyscurrently the NWO is the weakest its ever been because curt hennig lost a stipulation match to chris benoit where the loser had to leave their respective faction, Scott Hall lost his feud to Kevin Nash, and NWO Hollywood lost to the Wolfpac in WarGames. Hollywood Hogan is making one last ditch effort to take over WCW by trying to end the streak of the US champion Goldberg>>10291006yes i do saturday night and worldwide, i have unique storylines on b shows and i find them really fun and its great to take a break from the seriousness of nitro and thunder
>>10291174i like to rationalize it by thinking that the high paycheck guys especially hogan would love the spotlight of NBC and 13 million american viewers, maybe NBC gives the top guys bonus payouts too
I just keep it simple and book 2 shows a week max unless there is a PPV. Booking a short Raw each week is pretty cozy if you enjoy 95/96 wrestling. Brandsplits are better when the roster is huge.
>>10291200How is Kane's morale? Is he still picking up some wins now and then to keep him happy or is he close to sitting out his contract?
>>10291242he actually hasnt complained about taking the loses, that might change when i put juventud over him though lolhe has 2 year left on his deal, i might just fire him soon, hes kinda crap but i could use him to be the world biggest jobber for 2 yearsmy roster is just too stacked to justify a sustained push for glenn jacobs
>>10290727started a 97 mod and im in 2007. rock is still wrestling and is the figurehead and i got john cena and ortan over last year
>>10291276If you want to really fuck over the WWF, you could have him job until he decides to sit out the rest of his contract. That's what I'm planning to do with Jericho and Bradshaw in a few of my saves.
>>10291293What does the Rock's wrestlemania history look like then? When I tried booking the ruthless aggression era, I had no clue what to do with him besides have him awkwardly sit around the upper-midcard.
>>10290874Who’s Irish Liberation Army and High Voltage?
>>10291303I forgot im actually in 2006 still but in the last wrestlemania i had shawn michaels beat him and triple h for the belt in a triple threat. did brand split theyre on smackdown
>>10291318high voltage is a real life jobber tag team from wcw in the late 90sThe Irish liberation army is the tag team of Fit Finlay and Dave Taylor, their gimmick is extremist irish nationalists and they have feuded with british wrestlers like bulldog and norman smiley. They are great worker and i can stick them anywhere on the card in a feud with any babyface because they have a built in story of hating their opponents nationalityalso i needed something for dave taylor to do after i sent lord regal to drug rehab
>>10291293What are you doing with Triple H? Is he still a main eventer or just a personality or ...?
>>10290727TEW autism mixed with 2K23 graphics and nude divas when?
>>10291601Unfortunately gimmicks have been neutered a lot in TEW2020 so they don't take into account riskiness of the product, which takes the fun out of the more controversial gimmicks you can give a employee.
>>10290874Thunder has no business being this good.
>>10291742A lot of people treat Thunder like there is a brand split honestly.
>>10290841inflated as fuck stats, looks boring
>>10291856yeah not a fan of the mod, i just play it for the time period, bret hart cranks out 90 scores against jobbers
>>10291868>>10291868>>10291856Yeah a lot of the TEW Mods are either cancer where everything is inflated, or you get shit where Cena and similar stars struggle. One of the mods I played had it where only Lesnar could pop a decent rating in 2023 WWE.
>>10290727I booked 6 years of WCW from 2000 to 2005. It made me miserable desu after the first 18 months or so.
>>10292474who did you push
>>10292554Brock Lesnar, Ric Flair, AJ Styles, Chris Benoit. I lost a lot of stars in the first six months of the save including Hogan due to letting a lot of people out of their contracts.
Does anyone have the link for the pirated copy and mod page?I last played this shit like last year, a bit too autistic for me but it was fun. I played a mod that starts in the mid 90s and I picked that one company in the US that has pretty much no wrestlers and made my own roster with all the free agents. The shows were fucking terrible though, couldn't draw more than 40s and the only saving grace was pre prime Steve Austin who could draw like 60s and 70s in terms of ratings and I managed to sign him cus he's injured and cheap. Him and Bradshaw were feuding for the world title, I believe I had Edge and Christian as the tag champs feuding with Ace Steel and some other guy named Ace who had a team called the Aces, and another indie fag as the TV champ. Also Bradshaw was bullying Edge every goddamn week before every show and he got suspended more often than not.
>>10292680Have you read any of the player's guide? It should be pretty easy to pop 50+ rating shows, unless you're accidentally fucking things up or only have shit workers.
>>10292680Getting 40s with indie shitters is the norm. Match and show ratings don't scale with company size, so a small indie fed should be getting lower scores.
>>10292705Nah, but I'm fairly certain it was the shit workers. All of my guys were in their early to mid 20s and had really low ratings and I would get pretty decent ratings consistently with the better overall wrestlers. I just saw it as part of the challenge of running a garbage indie promotion with a low budget and tried building up the young guys with high potential into stars before giving up
>>10291200nice who are your champs and do you think you'll activate the hardcore or cruiserweight tag titles
>>10292840in week one of november 98World Heavyweight: Bret Hart - all year Bret has declared himself "The Real World Champion" and has felt disrespected by WCW and JJ Dillon by not presenting him as such. Back in July Bret finally became undisputed when he submitted Macho Man in the main event of Bash at the Beach to become WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Bret has PPV Title defences against Sting, Ric Flair, Rick Rude, Randy Savage and most recently against a surging DDP at halloween havoc. Bret is now gearing up to face number 1 contender Kevin Nash at Mayhem. A match with US Champion Bill Goldberg looms in the distance, and fans predict whoever is world champion after Mayhem will face Goldberg at Starrcade.US Heavyweight: Goldberg - Goldberg still maintains his undefeated streak. Goldberg's momentum was initially halted after he won the US title for the first time from Raven in May, Goldberg was not cleared to wrestled following his title win and he had to relinquish the championship. Sting picked up the vacant title and reigned until Goldberg came back from injury and won the US Title in a Three Way Dance against Meng and Sting. Goldberg has set his sights on the NWO and has been mauling their ranks, he's now reached the top dog and is in an intense feud with Hollywood Hogan; who is intent on breaking the streak.Cruiserweight Title: Billy Kidman - Chris Jericho controlled the division for a majority of the year, despite Jericho losing the belt to Malenko, Jericho won it right back and continued his reign of terror. It took Juventud Guerrera (who lost his mask to Jericho early in the year) chasing Jericho all year to eventually dethrone him for good on Nitro in late August. Despite a hot chase, Juventuds reign flopped, it suffered from lack of challengers and he lost the title in a shocking upset to young Billy Kidman in early October. Billy Kidman has gotten really over quickly after the Flock ended in July after Raven suffered a career ending concussion
>>10292840>>10293082Tag Team: Los Guerreros - Eddie forced Chavo into subservience early in the year and has been training young Chavo to Lie, Cheat and Steal. The Guerreros won the Tag team titles for the first time in June and have been the kings of the tag division all year, they have dropped the belt to the wolfpac and the team of alex wright and davey boy smith but won the belts back both times and are now 3 time champions. Alex Wright and Davey Boy won the belts at a German PPV that only aired in Europe and their were gonna drop the belts back to the Guerreros at Fall Brawl but Alex got hurt so Syxx Pac from the Wolfpac subbed in as Bulldogs partner to drop the belts. The Guerreros have been feuding with Sting and Luger as of late and have been every rule in the book not to lose the belt to the legends.
