Collision is DOA
Dollars and cents!
>above average ticket sales>DOA
>>10287821>you can be the heart and soul>I'll be the dollars and cents>....>isn't the dollars and centsWhy did Punk lie?
there is still plenty of time to give out those resell/unsold tickets to people with their deep dish pizza purchase
>>10287821Isn't it pretty much sold out with the current setup? Either way, that's a lot of tarps for the biggest arena in the United States. That's not even 50% capacity.
>>10287821It looks like it's only setup for 8,698 seats. So even if it does sellout it's kind of a scam.
>>10287848trannies console warring with other trannies is going to be a bloodbath because they're all so retarded
>>10287848>set up for 8k seats>in an arena with a capacity of 23,500>they didn't even try to fill it >has only sold 5k seatsIt's pure cope to think that's good.
>>10287821>No 6 thousyKEK
>>10287933Yeah the setup is too small for that venue. It's not gonna look good with only 8k and it'll probably be even less.
>>10287848>>10287890You think they booked a 23k seat arena expecting 5k?
Almost like people already saw what Tony fucking up someone's momentum looks like. The peak AEW sales were predicated on the hope that Tony won't fuck up. Now everyone knows otherwise. No wonder Forbidden Door II is the only PPV of theirs that sold out immediately. Even with no card announced, people know it will have wrestlers that haven't been booked into ice coldness by Tony in there.
>>10287821They need Goldberg asap. Even for a short term bump. This looks bad.
>>10287947they have been doing it all year
Seems adequate for ticket sales on short notice. Literally announced on Wednesday and put on public sale on Friday,
Punk is going to be forced to come back early on a Dynamite, set up his deal with Joe and do announce a match for the first episode
>>10287947Not sure. Maybe they wanted to give the illusion on TV that it's a big show. I'm not sure they could have realistically expected 23k for a market that they already burned out.
Why haven't they signed Goldberg yet? That's the real draw. Not CM Punk.
>>10287953>Almost like people already saw what Tony fucking up someone's momentum looks likeThey saw Punk do that with his tantrum and brittle bones that fucked up a year long story with him an MJF, who he immediately buried in the press conference. Tony is an idiot for the fact he let it happen, but Punk is the one who blew the ship up
>>10288076They sold 600 tickets for one of the Collision shows KEK!! Both Punk and Collision will blow up on Tiny's face.
>>10287821I thought this nigga was on Tony's payrollwhat happened?
>>10288098Nah. Once they know how bad it'll tank, they'll make the call to Goldberg and agree to his fee.
>>10287933It's above their average ticket sales. It's a cope to think doing above average is bad.>>10287947Yes.
>>10287821what do you expect when you run Chicago 10 times a year
>>10287953>Tony fucking up someone's momentum looks likeDid Tony order Punk to jump into the crowd and break his foot? Did Tony order Punk to injure himself in his match with Moxley? Did Tony order Punk to trash the company in public and then fight his co-workers?
>>10288162They can easily fill the arena to the rafters but firs they have to sign him.
>>10288179>Did Tony book a brittle mid 40s guy who hasn't worked in a decade to go over everybody not knowing if his body would hold up and is also a known trouble makeruh yeah
>>10288201Don't be a total fucking retard.
>>10288142>It's above their average ticket sales. The only metric that matters is whether or not it's selling better than the last show they ran at the United Center. And it isn't.
>>10288226Sure, if you compare all their current numbers to their peak numbers you can always present them as a failure. You can set the benchmark so that they are failing every time they do not break a record, or do not beat one of their old peaks. But that's just moving the goalposts out of a need to reassure yourself that they aren't doing well. It's motivated reasoning of people who are emotionally invested in one particular outcome.
>>10288226How do you possibly expect this to sell better than Punk's first appearance after 7 years and the first time in the venue?
>>10288260He will do it because AEW has mentally crippled his ability to form thoughts and emotionally devastated him.
>>10287933Um sweaty, it’s the hard-cam side.
>>10287848STFU AEWTIST, take the L you tranny
>>10288260>okay it's selling significantly less than the last time AEW was at the United Center BUT BUT BUT--Utter cope.
>>10287821IT ALL ABOUT TARPS AND HOW YOU LAY 'EM
>>10288347Yes, it is.
>>10288355IT’S ALL ABOUT THE HARD CAMAND WHERE YOU CAN PLACE IT
Remains to be seen desu, the original Punk debut sold out basically instantly but it was heavily scalped and by the time of the show they were selling tickets for just a few dollars, so scalpers heavily overestimated demand and lost a lot of money. Pic related is what it looked like once resale tickets were posted on Ticketmaster. When the resale tickets are posted, IF they are significantly lower than for the original show then I'd say that 6k for the first day of sales is probably an okay number.
>>10288254>Sure, if you compare all their current numbers to their peak numbers you can always present them as a failurei mean, where the lie? their peak was only a few months though. aew has been around very long but aside from the interest in the beginning everything afterwards is less and less
>>10287821there were RAW's last year that did lower ticket sales
>>10288384Selectively choosing your comparisons to make something look bad isn't lying per se, but it is coping and spinning and lying by omission. >aside from the interest in the beginning everything afterwards is less and lessHere you are lying by omission because this statement is also true of every single tv show, including WWE Smackdown on FOX.
>>10288254Yes, for a company that's been around for 30 years like the UFC, you're going to have ups and downs and not constantly setting new records. AEW is a 4 year old company. The fact that the rating and attendance of a new entertainment company are declining so early in their run is not a good thing.
>>10288433>decliningRelative to their peak it is a decline. Relative to their average ticket sales, it is an above average number. You are selectively comparing this number against their peak to present them as a failure.
>>10288433it's almost as if TV is declining and the only thing keeping numbers up are the over 50's (which make up 70% of WWE's TV audience)
>>10288450>it is a declineThanks for finally getting it.
>>10288409not always the case. some shows start out slow and gain large audiences over time. its not just the ratings that are down though attendance is way down
>>10288433>>10288450So much cope
>>10288453Why are their rating declining year over year faster than most other live television programming? Why are their ticket sales also declining?
>>10288475>attendance is way downWhat do you believe AEW's average attendance to be if you think that selling 6k tickets is "way down"?
Accident. >>10288433 is speaking facts. >>10288453 is cope.
>>10288496Their ratings hover around 0.30 and 900k and have done so for 4 years. There is no long term decline.Their ticket sales are roughly the same.
>>10287821When will you console war faggots just quit? Professional wrestling is already niche and you faggots divide the retards even more
>>10288380This is just every AEW show, though. There’s zero organic demand for the product. It’s dead in America
>>10288517They are religiously invested in AEW's failure and any move AEW makes needs to be presented by them as a failure otherwise they get frustrated and full of anger. It is a state of permanent derangement. They come up with various copes to explain why they need to lie about everything AEW does, but at the end of the day the company deeply pisses them off and has emotionally destabilized them similar to how libtards reacted to Trump.
>>10288515800k and 700k are not "hovering around 900k", Cope Hogan.
>>10288517>When will you console war faggots just quit?when all the invading aew newfags stop spamming their shit all day and leave forever
>>10288534>They come up with various copes
>>10287973that's cruel and unusual punishment!
>>10288534Now type this without tears in your eyes lol
>>10288607>>10288593You both seem rather upset. Are you okay?
>>10288614>You both seem rather upset. Are you okay?
>>10288534this. cultists have nothing and have no prospects of gaining anything, so they've tied up their own self worth into a billionaire's vanity live action e-fed. it's one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.
>>10288497>selling 6k tickets is "way down"in another it was pointed out last time they were there it sold out. im talking about dynamite. its booked in small gyms now and cant sell out anymore
In the dying day of WCW, when Nitro was filmed in the dark cause they needed to hide all the empty seats, they still sold out Chicago. Tony Khan and his young bucks have finally killed Chicago.
>>10288659The last time they were there is not representative of the average number of ticket sales for AEW events. It is representative of the highest company record for ticket sales in that building. >its booked in small gyms now and cant sell out anymoreDynamite has always been booked in small venues and very rarely sells out.
>>10288690>Dynamite has always been booked in small venues and very rarely sells outand thats a good thing? the aew roster has increased with over 100 wrestlers yet they cant sell out college gyms for their flagship show???
>>10288830>and thats a good thing? It's just a normal average thing.>the aew roster has increased with over 100 wrestlers yet they cant sell out college gyms for their flagship show???Why would you expect them to? I think you have very high unrealistic expectations for them.
>>10288142>It's above their average ticket sales. That's even sadder.
>>10288690>The last time they were there is not representative of the average number of ticket sales for AEW events. The last time they were there is representative of demand. Less tickets sold than last time = less demand for AEW.
>>10287861Unironically based and I would take them up on such an offer if I lived there
>>10288897le u le tell le me le fwienbo XDDDDDDDDDD
>>10288913>The last time they were there is representative of demand. No, the average number of ticket sales is an accurate representation of demand, rather than simply choosing the highest value.
>>10288930You find this funny?
Understanding average values, outliers, median etc. these are concepts taught to young children, which grown men in this thread are struggling with.
>>10288847>I think you have very high unrealistic expectations for themhuh. tony kept bringing in dozens of new names yet attendance continues to drop. i expect more fans to be interested. i would expect more fans to buy tickets to see all the new wrestlers in aew but thats not happening. having to use seat fillers and having to give away free tickets to your big shows clearly shows aew is a failing company
>>10288999>attendance continues to dropWhat do you believe AEW's average attendance to be if you think that 6k is a drop?
>>10288260Wasn't bringing in Punk supposed to help grow AEW? AEW has went backwards
>>10289032>AEW has wentThey aren't sending their best.
>>10287821woddit aint gonna like this one
>>10287821Not the nosebleeds
>>10287953this exactlyI live here and I only have a half a mind to go just to laugh at how shit it might be in person
>>10287933>It's pure cope to think that's good. It's also twice what Dynamite has been pulling for their regular shows
>>10291064I feel the same about All In. I might wait until they're giving tickets away a week or two before the show.
>>10287821It's the very first Collision show. Why isn't there more organic demand?
>invented by a white man>has a white man on the logo>(the true) MVP is a white man>about to have two white fan base teams in the finals its a white boy summer and you nigbros are just living in it
>>10287848TRANNY ARE YOU OK?
>>10295161>Vincels seriously clinging to fakenewzDamn AEW must be doing better than I thought if this is all pigs can do
>>10295161Jesus they can’t even pay them in hotdogs because they had to sell them to get rid of the tickets.
>>10295244>Damn AEW must be doing better than I thought
>>10287821Punk isn't a draw
>>10287821>6k in a day>DOA
>>10295161Imagine being that deranged by a wrestling company you'd go make up something like this and actually print it out and take this staged photograph like this.Unhinged behaviour. >>10296800was debunked within the hour. keep being a mark.
>It’s real and confirmed to be trueLMAOOOO
>>10295161OH NO NO NO I CALLED THE PLACE AND IT SAID IT WAS REAL! HAHAHAHAHA
>>10301704Anon, it's called "trolling." People used to do this sort of thing all the time just to get a meme going. It's fun. Actually going outside and doing things IRL to then troll people about it online is fun. Pull that stick out of your ass, smile, and try to have a good time. You'll be dead soon enough.
>>10287821somebody call ojama somebody call ojama
I mean putting it on a Saturday night pretty much DOA'd it anyway
>>10287848>>above average ticket salesSo you're saying AEW's typical live show attendance is below 70% of capacity
but I was told le punk is such a draw thats why he had to come back?
>>10302789This TV show has already outsold DoN
>>10302819It's not gonna be full but I think it'll be pretty healthy by showtime. They REALLY need to hit it out of the park though if they want to salvage the ticket sales for the other Collision tapings (except for Newark which is doing okay). I'm not as pessimistic about the concept of the show as some other people. I think Smackdown has shown that if you have a live weekly show that you treat as important people will watch it regardless of whether it's traditionally a "bad night" for TV. However, I am pessimistic about Tony's ability to treat it as important on a long-term basis given his track record with things like Rampage, Elevation, BOTB, and ROH.
>>10288517>When will you console war faggots just quit?Tell that to Tony Khan, who started all of this with his sophomoric bullshit on twitter
>>10302819>chronically onlineDude has no awareness
>>10287955>booking for the short termoh boy
>>10288127You mind zapped ninnies are never right about anyone being on Tiny Con's payroll
>>10287858What makes you think that
>it’s a success by dynamite’s standardsso dynamite is a failure by collison’s standards. Phil won.
>>10302949If Tony hasn't started being such a prick on Twitter, celebrating whenever he won a participation trophy, people wouldn't enjoy dunking on AEW nearly as much as they do.
>>10287821>tickets for a pretty shit seat are $600+wtf?
>>10288380It had $3 tickets the entire week leading up, $0 tickets the day of. Of course it "sold out".
