Huh? Interesting headcanon.
>>
>>10280354
The Elite literally came up with their entire brand because NJPW was underpaying them and they needed to come up with some other way to monetise themselves.
>>
>>10280344
As long as I'm IWGP Heavyweight champion I don't care desu.

Evil company
>>
they're a ticket sales company, not a TV company. they don't make as much.
>>

You’re damn right brother!
>>
>>10281540
They make the lions share of 40 million dollars a year. They can afford to pay a select number of top gaijin.
>>
>>10281657
it's still an order of magnitude less than AEW
>>
>>10280344
jamal sucks ass
>>
>>10281669
AEW's current TV deal is 45ish million a year. Yes AEW have much deeper pockets, but that doesn't excuse the constant lowballing even before AEW existed.

The late Antonio Inoki used to treat and pay his foreign wrestlers good, why is the current management such assholes?
>>
>>10281540
Aren’t they on tv?
>>
>>10281690
Wrestling business in the 80s was fucking swimming in money
NJPW now is a hanger-on of a company that makes their actual money from cancerous phone games and idolshit
>>
>>10281682
I'm not justifying NJPW lowballing, I don't know why they do it. I'm just saying AEW brought in 9 figures of revenue last year, which is a lot more than NJPW.

Look at the gaijins from Inoki's time and look at the gaijins from the current time. Now tell me why they should pay them good money.

>>

njpw is an old school company where you're paid based on the house and merch. japan doesn't have TV companions giving them a billy for 10 hours of programming a week

it's just the way it is now. WWE and AEW can buy anyone who can be bought.

At some point you kinda need to invest in having some stable top foreigners if you want to catch that big chunk of the global market. Jay was always a write off because he was very open about his goal being US citizenship. But a guy like Will, if you give him "good enough" money and let him keep his schedule and doing and promoting RevPro he could easily be kept around imo. And guys like that, that like the life can be kept as long as they don't feel like they're getting rinsed.
>>
>>10281711
njpw probably did offer kenny a lot and will do the same for will, maybe AJ as well, but everybody else is easily replaced. nobody really cares about the tag division or especially the junior tag, even the singles junior title doesn't matter that much. they can afford to bring in the big indie players, but if WWE or AEW wants to give them a milly, why would NJPW compete? there's always gonna be other flippy guys on the indies they can bring in.

the bucks weren't a big deal in japan, tho they were important for njpw's america dreams.

>njpw probably did offer kenny a lot and will do the same for will
I'm pretty sure Kenny has talked openly about how the company were paying him badly and kept trying to buy his IPs off him for dirt money.
>>
>>10281745
Kenny said NJPW lowballed him hard and offered him the least out of NJPW/AEW/WWE
They legit believed he wouldn't leave and give him a disrespectfully shit offer
>>
>>10281749
sauce? okada makes around 2 million a year which is most likely way more than anyone else, but kenny should have easily been in the mid-high six figure range during his main event run.
>>
>>10281775
Okada and Tana are literally in their own league, which makes sense, they're the ones that do all the variety shows and shit IIRC.
>>
>>10281690
because those guys were draws and he used to make money out the ass, why should new japan suck off foreign guys when they dont draw like that and they can replace them so easily?
>>
>>10281711
exactly, if new japan somehow got john cena or brock theyd bend over to those guys, not aussie open lmao.
>>
>>10281675
Nah you do
>>
>>10281789
njpw quite literally did bend over to brock in the mid 2000s
he held the iwgp heavyweight belt hostage
>>
>>10281789
>if new japan somehow got john cena or brock theyd bend over to those guys
They got Lesnar in 2004, made him IWGP champ literally instantly, and he walked while holding the belt because they were trying to jew him out of money
>>
>>10281801
oh yeah I forgot about that, well there it is, the guys just arent at the level where youd do all that for them.
>>
>>10281808
yeah I forgot that, I was just thinking of guys who qualify as draws at least a little close to the guys inoki worked with.
>>
>>10281744
Nah, cope. Will is gone no matter how much you pay.
