Almost done just gotta glue the half's together, I used cardstock and hot glue and discovered the cardstock warp badly if creased to much of off angle, of course a ruler should always be used, I discovered some of my geometry is wrong so in V2 imma correct it and, speaking of v2, I think I'm going to do a full body sculpture next, arms legs, and a pretty face to go with it, and bigger breasts, so far it took 26 hours in printing, cutting, folding and gluing, but best model I've done.
>>

Whatever you're gonna do anon for love of God don't rush it. More than half of fuck-ups were due to me ignoring something important or skipping a step.

Starting headless 2B. This time I grouped parts together for each limb and torso. I'll be cutting, bending and assembling them separately. This way I can hopefully get results faster as there's not gonna be time wasted rummaging through pile of hundred some pieces.
It's great that this fad took roots, much easier to get back to work when I see other "enthusiasts"
>>
>>604015
Your unfold is pure crap, that's why the model looks like crumbed-up crap as well. Not to mention the original 3D model was probably automatically reduced and the polygons look like shit. Built the 3D model over, actually manually reduce polygons, unfold it the right way, and start over. This just looks like used toilet paper as of now
>>
>>604019
Lotta shitflinging, not so much constructive criticism.
>Not to mention the original 3D model was probably automatically reduced and the polygons look like shit.
Oh DO mention, i have no use for reductive response. Are you trying to say i went too far reducing base model?
>Your unfold is pure crap, that's why the model looks like crumbed-up crap as well.
Elaborate; what is so wrong with acctual unfolding? I usually let it auto, then cut it down into manageble pieces and group back together>>603623
>This just looks like used toilet paper as of now
Follow the threads. I did not expect any of the models to come out looking as milion bucks. I just saw pics of OP model i decided to give it a try with my fat fingers. And that certainly does not mean that model is my goal.

With the edge ids on, during assembly you can keep the pdf open. Ctrl+f will help you find the mate of a piece.
>>
>>604092
Since I have laptop with Pepa at hand I prefer to use that during assembly. It would be possible to build completely w/o edge id but as it turned out during trial you can easily mismatch pieces where there's many mirrored parts.

Tracking from /diy/
Poly foam isn’t a great option for reasons you’re seeing… unpredictable strong expansion.
Suggest poly fill, like they use in stuffed dollls and quilts. You can get it from joanns fabric or such. Then you can modulate how firm to make outside by how much you stuff in.
>>
>>605977
The other thing: I’d be surprised if this will stand upright without collapsing under its own weight once you fill it (or even infilled.)
I’d plan a basic skeleton consisting of two rods running from base of foot to shoulders ( since no head.) It would be V shaped and connected at top. Depending on design may need support also for arms to some extent. You’d insert rods after paperwork done then stuff around them… you won’t likely be able to add them after the fact.
>>
>>605977
checked.
>polyester filling
Not bad, not nearly as costly as i'd expect tho i have no idea how much it's gonna take. Still might prove itself better alternitive to foam than hay or shreded newspapers.
>>
>>605932
I'm bummed you put so much time in these things with junk paper. Some decent cardstock is pretty cheap.

>>
>>605993
>implying
I don't own any, not gonna buy any for it would be cost ineffective and not gonna steal any since that could run danger of revealing my powerlevel.
>>
>>605986
How much you need depends on how tight you stuff it.
If you’ve never bought from Joannes… you want to get on the mailing list for coupons. Stuff is typically sold at 30% off as a category markdown or on coupon. It rewards coupon clipping.
>>605988
Seconding. You should to be working with cardstock at least with the lower parts and main torso. It’ll be stronger and stuff tighter.
>>
>>605988
>>606026
I have to use office paper cuz i'm not gonna buy one of those fancy expensive printers that use cardstock. What i'm later gonna do is buy heavier paper and glue my printouts onto it. Not sure how heavy tho since if i go too heavy it's gonna make flaps too sturdy. RN looking on some 150g/m2 but thinking about it now added 80g office paper and layer of glue might make it too tough to work.
>>
>>605926
> Do you honestly think there's anyone so out of options he'd choose to do this to cum?
obviously not. it's an artform, recquires preperation, dedication, dexterity, patience and time. it's honestly impressive such such life-sized origami dolls. you gain extra millage and experience, just by engagnging yourself in artistic persuits. i would still consider it inferior to 3D modeling, but it's a craft, and a great hobby to do at home.
good job anon. i'm glad you have your own private space, eg appartment, to work unhindered and post updates.
>>
Mom- go get yourself a girlfriend

OP- ok

lol, good work model looks good.
>>
>>605977
>Poly foam isn’t a great option for reasons you’re seeing… unpredictable strong expansion.

One issue with the consumer grade aerosol foams is that they need lots of area to off-gas the solvents that keep them liquid in the can, which means that in closed spaces like tubes and deep vessel shapes (like those leg shells) the trapped solvents can create all kinds of problems like uneven expansion and cure rates, soft/ gooey spots and voids where gasses in the extremities get trapped and create back pressure that prevents material flowing into them.
Two part pourable expanding foams made for filling closed space in boats and dock floats and the like largely avoid these problems as long as you get them poured while still liquid.
They cost more but will work with even lightweight paper molds/forms and in other deep/closed vessels and spaces.

I am not married to idea of using PP foam. If i could use some stuff that would stick to paper but not soak in and sufficiently hardened it i'd jump that in a hearthbeat.
>Two part pourable expanding foams made for filling closed space in boats and dock floats and the like largely avoid these problems as long as you get them poured while still liquid.

For now at this stage that's way too expensive for what it does. I believe it works but i'd sooner use hay and i'm saying it as alergic motherfucker.
>>606064
Depending how tough (grams per m2) they were i might waste a money on potentionally permanently fucked up printer. For now imma sticking to office print outs on hard paper.
After i finnish mark3.

>>
If you cover the outside with enough layers of spraypaint is it robust enough to have sex with?
>>
>>606214
1)you can not normally spray paint office paper shell for it'll collapse under added weight. You'd have to use some low deposit non soaking like a hair spray (noz very cost effective).
2)common polymer paints harden into tough plasticso don't expect any give from it. If everything goes right you'd end up with basically clothes shop manequin (tho those are made from glass fiber composite)
3)so far no articulated joints
4)one way or another you'd have to add fleshlight or onna coz nobody is so hard to enjoy rubbing against acrylic vagina wall
Let's not kid ourselves. While we may see some anon producing something fuckable in the future, if you are looking for sextoy you're better off with onna or those small Shiro Dolls. I believe there are sextoys geneals in otaku and toy boards.
