Almost done just gotta glue the half's together, I used cardstock and hot glue and discovered the cardstock warp badly if creased to much of off angle, of course a ruler should always be used, I discovered some of my geometry is wrong so in V2 imma correct it and, speaking of v2, I think I'm going to do a full body sculpture next, arms legs, and a pretty face to go with it, and bigger breasts, so far it took 26 hours in printing, cutting, folding and gluing, but best model I've done.

Whatever you're gonna do anon for love of God don't rush it. More than half of fuck-ups were due to me ignoring something important or skipping a step.

Good Job Pal
>>
Starting headless 2B. This time I grouped parts together for each limb and torso. I'll be cutting, bending and assembling them separately. This way I can hopefully get results faster as there's not gonna be time wasted rummaging through pile of hundred some pieces.
It's great that this fad took roots, much easier to get back to work when I see other "enthusiasts"

Your unfold is pure crap, that's why the model looks like crumbed-up crap as well. Not to mention the original 3D model was probably automatically reduced and the polygons look like shit. Built the 3D model over, actually manually reduce polygons, unfold it the right way, and start over. This just looks like used toilet paper as of now

Lotta shitflinging, not so much constructive criticism.
>Not to mention the original 3D model was probably automatically reduced and the polygons look like shit.
Oh DO mention, i have no use for reductive response. Are you trying to say i went too far reducing base model?
>Your unfold is pure crap, that's why the model looks like crumbed-up crap as well.
Elaborate; what is so wrong with acctual unfolding? I usually let it auto, then cut it down into manageble pieces and group back together>>603623
>This just looks like used toilet paper as of now
Follow the threads. I did not expect any of the models to come out looking as milion bucks. I just saw pics of OP model i decided to give it a try with my fat fingers. And that certainly does not mean that model is my goal.
TL;DR: 1) No 2)Yes 3)For sure 4)Go fuck your mother.

way to get after it man. I'd like to give it a go myself. just lurking and trying to build up motivation for now.
>>
>>604041
In my exp it's better to build self confidence doing (easier) stuff rather than waiting for motivation to show up someday. There were rough patterns in last thread and more can be found on web.

I'd do your printer a favor and turn the texture off.
>>
>>604015
and oh damn turn the edge id on.
>>
>>604069
>>604015
fucking hell I didn't notice that either. just reprint and start over or you're in for a world of pain.
>>
>>604068
>>604069
Idk why I have to turn those on/off every time, nip devs should add permanent setting.
I already reprinted another set with id turned on.
>>
>>604080
With the edge ids on, during assembly you can keep the pdf open. Ctrl+f will help you find the mate of a piece.
>>
>>604092
Since I have laptop with Pepa at hand I prefer to use that during assembly. It would be possible to build completely w/o edge id but as it turned out during trial you can easily mismatch pieces where there's many mirrored parts.

It took me 5 hours to assemble one low poly leg. Let's see if I can do it faster next time.
>InB4 it's shiiiiiiit
I already printed it out so it'd be waste NOT to do it.

whyd you want it to be faster dud? haste makes waste..just do it at your own pace, so you dont regret the result later..good job btw
>>
>>604585
Cocktail of impatience, hunger and overblown expectations. I'd like it if I could do it in one sitting, perfectly and gloat over how amazing it came out.
I still have a lot of work on myself.
>>
Boy how I wish I'd started during corona. Could use some of that NEET time.
>>
>>604604
yea me too..tho more often than not, when i look at it my work again, i feel some things can be fixed if i had more patience..to each or their own, good job btw
>>
Second leg. Not much faster but slightly better than first one. Time to prop some supports.

>>604643
>feel some things can be fixed if i had more patience
Regardless how careful you are before, after you add glue it's do or die anyway. Being it like that I'm gonna do it over and over again till I get better at it.

Baroque artists' vision of women beauty never cease to amaze me.
Not that i'd wann replace it with cornfed T&A.

Fooling around with PU foam is getting costly. If I found some alternative I'd jump it like OP's mother.
