Does anyone have a pdf for this?
If not any tips on making it from scratch?

Thanks in advance, anon

This feels like one of those projects where you would get through maybe 10% of the process, go jerk off to something unrelated and then lose all motivation to continue.

Well if if you have no 3D modelling skills just find a lowpoly model online and import it to Pepakura. Unfolding will be a bitch though.

How many faces would you consider reasonable?
>>
>>597645
Well it depends upon you. I don't really know what you're planning to do with it but the one on the left would be better if you're aim is realism though it'll need more work to unfold. Low poly ones like the right are good as static display pieces.
>>
>>597645
250 is about my limit. Keep in mind, some areas benefit from more faces than others. Unfolding in Pepakura is my least favorite part.

This is better than expected. Can't wait to print it out.

Jesus Christ i thought editing model & making pattern in Pepakura was the hard part but now it's been three hours of mě cuting out the fucking thing. It's not even folded yet but it's 1am in Yuro this is it for Now

>>597783
Not sure what is scored supposed to mean. There are codes for neighboring faces printed i ain't that dumb. What i'm certainly gonna add next project is some sort of anotation as to group pieces together so i'll have easier time discerning if f.e. i'm looking at piece of shoulder or asscheek.

You can finish it, anon. I believe in you. Dem paper titties are gonna be yours.

Thanks man.
While it might sound like i'm whining it's really just venting frustration over something i have never done before.
Right now it's lot like a puzzle where every corner piece looks fucking same.
>>
>>597919
Fucking it or not, it would be easier and you wouldn't waste paper if you got a real woman. Probably cheaper too. What is the point of making a paper woman?
>>
>>597970
What is point of anything really?
But to be more specific: is it that strange to you that i'm building paper torso on papercraft board or that someone would make it, regardless of material/technique, when they can go and touch real woman?
>>
>>597968
Why didn't you turn on the edge ids that's supposed to fix this exact issue
>>
>>597972
I used it, fren.
>>
>>597977
Should've turned off the textures to preserve the ink tho. Still, best of luck hope you pull through with this.
>>
>>597978
>ink
Definitely. Or use some less ink intensive texture to group larger groups of faces so i won't have to play puzzle next time.

after you're done with the assembly you can fill it with expanding foam for internal structure and coat it with layers of bandages and epoxy glue for external rigidity. That is the perfect way to go about reinforcing this relatively low detail high volume papercraft.
>>
>>597971
Nah, not strange, you're right. You do you man. Good luck on your project.
>>
>>598003

I'm dreading stuff is gonna deform the model.

it looks like you are using far too much glue. you really only need a thin film.

Came out pretty nice with a coat of paint. I was trying to appeal to Ares in April 2020......turns out covid was one of the best things to happen for me, perhaps it worked.

>>598132
Yeah it takes forever, so I try and keep my models ~200 faces....and I fold them at work (on the clock)...kinda helps with the tedium.

I find wood glue works really well, with a less is more approach. What kind of paper is that?

No it'sm just that last model i made (as a 10 y/o) was something like pic related.
About 3 hours.
>>
>>598203
Well, in that case it's pretty understandable yeah. But it's a pretty big model even if it's lowpoly. So it's a bitch and understandably so.
>>
>>598202

addentum
Ultimately i am making this model primarily to ind out if i can do it this way. Second course of action was to slice model and carve the profiles into karton sheets.
>>
>>598173
>I find wood glue works really well, with a less is more approach.
True on both accounts
>What kind of paper is that?
Normal HP paper Big mistake. I did not expect it to crumble so much during assembly. Might start from scratch with stronger paper, working stand and some semblance of premeditated assembly steps.

Best way so far to mark multiple parts belonging to one feature in model gotta be -Input Text- function. Gonna see how well it works on next print. because finding neighboring pieces in hundrets of parts is slow and maddening.
>>
>>598207
actually the best way is to print with regular paper, cut out the pieces glue them onto ANY cardstock (cereal boxes, boxes of tea packets etc) and then assemble. that way you won't have to buy expensive paper and will have lots of options in thickness or whatever.
>>
>>598212
I'll keep that in mind. Dry food boxes and added glue minght make it both sturdy and light enough so it won't buckle on assembly.
>>

>>598212
I wouldn't want to add more steps. Cardstock isn't that expensive, but you are limited to what your printer can handle. Construction paper works too. My favorite is photopaper, but that is kinda pricy.
>>598208
It helps to get the pdf open during assembly. You can search for edge ids and see the piece you are looking for.
>>
>>598236
>I wouldn't want to add more steps.
I mean for a project with 70+ pages it really could reduce the price of it by almost half. But yeah the assembly time rises by 30 percent or so too, which honestly may be not a bad thing to begin with. What are you in a rush to complete a paper model?
>>
This is so much faster as number of pieces drops.
>>
>>598238
OPs model is maybe 5 dollars in cardstock. Yes, I'm in a rush to make many paper models.

...
I am new to these parts and gotta say it's uncanny how nice you /po/ lads are.
So thank you Anon. I really like how piece connecting model in back looks like open back dress piece. I might add something similar to later stages.

>>598258
Like crumled paper i assure you.
Here is my template.
-As other anons said use pepa viewer to discern what parts are you looking at.
-less glue is better
-i am rubber you are glue. Use gloves thin if you have them.
-assemble complicated/smaller parts (like boobs, armpits and crotch) first, add bigger/simpler (belly, hips and endcaps) later
-do not bend glue taps too much; many times pieces are connected at just a slight angle
-DO NOT RUSH
Also when setting dimensions i did not considered how old that body it is gonna look like and it ended up worringly close to well endowed 12 y/o so either make absolutely sure no living soul finds it or wait till next version if you can't take the risk.
>>
Strangely 4chan does not allow to post pepa format files. What is /po/ prefered model sharing site?
>>
>>598265
any way you can send it is already good, anon

This is the pdf i made and this https://www.mediafire.com/file/cfmcjkb9ail7eh1/decimated_1_thousandth_1st_pepa_try.pdo/file
is pepa so you can look those parts up not wasting your time. Unless you love puzzles of course.

I'll work on mark II over the week to reduce needles BS and mistakes made. Those that decide to build mark I: Have fun. If i can do it, anyone can.

could you make a version that is a full body, with head, arms and legs, instead of just a torso? pls, i would be very useful

I do not do my own sculpting but if you link me some downloadable model that is not too high poly i'll see what i can do when i'll get a time.

This is one i considered before and then decided that arms and legs are needles complication to deal with for first try but since it is gonna be you who is gonna build it it's on the table.
