How about you go die, you piece of shit. Think you are somehow a superhuman and entitled to get everything for free?! Fuck you and go buy shit! Support designers like this, or you won't get anything new anyway, since people don't make new one because of shits like you. Hope your money gets stolen like this so you know what you are doing, asswipe.

I have it, can you trade it with origami works of fumiaki kawahata?
>>
>>585567
I have another of Fumiaki Kawahata's books, "Super Shaped Origami"
>>
>>585567
>>
>>585567
I think very few people bothered to purchase Works of Fumiaki Kawahata because it only had one or two previously unpublished models (Chipmunk, ?) and was very expensive. I saw a collective shrug about that book on most forums. But you should still share The Excellence of Origami!
>>
Alright settle down Nicholas Terry

FAKE not original kawhata book
>>
Hi, I was wondering if someone with The elegance of origami could share the diagrams of the Shiba inu by gen hagiwara, it would be very appreciated
>>
>>586521
For the last time, no one is willing to share this book right now. Not in part or in whole.
>>
>>586525
Or at least Satoshi Kamiya's diamond. Please, please...
>>
>>586521
Stop asking, if someone wants to share, they will.
Asking 1000 times won't make you get the book faster.
If you really want it ASAP, buy it
>>
>>586530
>Satoshi Kamiya's diamond. Please, please..
>>586530
If you desperately want that diamond why do you google it. It just took me 5 seconds to find it.
>>
>>586539
It took you 5 seconds to find video tutorial or diagrams? There's no diamond diagrams online. I am not interested in folding from youtube.
>>
>>586552
Yeah I'm the same - I find it 10x more confusing to follow along with a YouTube video than just to use diagrams, and they always seem to go too slow when I want to go faster and too fast when I can't follow the details.
>>
>>586553
You can get the diagrams by buying the book. Crazy, I know
>>
>>586565
I didn't say anything about buying or not buying books asshole. I just don't like YouTube instructional vids.
>>
>>586589
Folding from diagrams is like solving a puzzle. It's an adventure. Will I make it or not? It can be frustrating but (almost) always rewarding in the end. But with video instructions you lose all that magic. In a way it's like cheating. And no fun at all.
>>
>>586589
That's so sad

I'm a different anon and while I agree with you on certain points you made a few inaccuracies: copyright laws aren't the same in all countries. Where I live, people can torrent and download so long as they themselves don't profit from it (eg selling the movies/music/books themselves).
As for the sharing of new books, yes it probably is detrimental to the author and yet if its already online, am I gonna make a difference if I just don't download it? Doubt it. I lost my job and I just dont have the money to spend on origami books right now even tho I'd much prefer a physical copy, who wouldn't?
I understand your frustration but then again, don't click on a file sharing thread and be upset that it indeed contains file sharing. You're raising your blood pressure for nothing.
>>
>>590191
Or better yet, stop being a hypocrite. If you think that sharing new things is bad, then ALL file sharing is bad, even when it comes to old books or books you can't buy anymore.
>>
>>590195
>>590195
shhh. don't expose them too much.

Anyways, I would love to get any book available recent or old, But the reality is that spreading recent books only hurts the origami community as a whole.

Why spend time and resources developing origami figures and making a book if it will be pirated the moment it comes out?

I've heard many creators express their feelings on that. One of which coincidentally had one of their books shared here just a few months after the book came out.

I try to buy most of my books physically if they are not unreasonably expensive, and sometimes I share a few individual models, but sharing the whole book when it's easily available seems irresponsible for a community that can't take the hit like gaming and movie industry can.
>>
>>590195
Eat shit and die asshole. Don't open your fucking mouth when you don't have a clue of what you're talking about. There's a big difference between sharing new stuff vs. old stuff.
>>
>>590201
>One of which coincidentally had one of their books shared here just a few months after the book came out.
There have been occasions where books were shared the very next day after just being released.
>>
>>590195
You're the one sounding like a hypocrite right now.
>>
>>590208
Old books still have copyright, unless they are very old.
>>
>>590208
I'm not a hypocrite because I'm ok with all sharing, doesn't matter how old the book is who made it etc.
>>
>>590210
>I'm ok with all sharing, doesn't matter how old the book is who made it etc.
Exactly, that's what makes you the biggest hypocrite of all. It's that shitty attitude of not giving a damn all the way around.
>>
>>590211
Definition of hypocrite:
1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

So, this isn't the word you are looking for.

I've thought about it, the libraries near me don't have it. Also, I don't expect anyone to scan it. You can supply photos good enough to fold without breaking it. Thank you for the kind words. I am fortunate that my public library participates in a statewide interlibrary loan program. I can share the Foldspace Origami Convention 2020 model diagrams if someone shares Modern Origami by Muneji Fuchimoto. I know there's one anon who has it but does not feel like sharing the book. Maybe this will make him change his mind. I'm attaching the proof I have it.

>>
>>590861
Hi, I’m the one with muneji’s book.

I’ll try to photograph it, but his books are rather hard to read event on the book itself because the pages are very glossy and he doesn’t do diagrams, only photograms.
>>
>>590868
Hi anon, could you try using camscanner or an app like that? The results are decent enough to interpret the diagrams and you can download the premium version pretty easily if you have an android. What helps with lighting is not to put the book directly under the source of light. I hope you may consider doing it that way

I have a couple of Muneji's books. Not only are his diagrams photodiagrams, they're very small - in fact, they're a pain to read in paper. You have to scan them at high resolution and enlarge them on a computer - or use a magnifying glass - to work out some of the more difficult steps. But he's a great designer.

Hello. Sorry, I don't want to bother you, but I would like to request Pajarita 146 or QQM 65 if possible, but in the queue, since people requested other things before me, thank you very much

And I'd like to create an account, with that I could help here as well and with 2 people would be faster, but I tried many times to get a QQ account, but I get error, if use chinese public number it says out of work or something or already exist, if I use other number, it says does not work or that I should use their APP, I install their APP via their own QR code, I try to use the number there, it says it's not the lastest version, but it actually is the lastest version, always getting one error or another :(

Any clue how I could get a QQ or one valid invite code?

The QQ app on the Play Store didn't work for me it gave me the same latest versions error. I had to download the APK. You can only install APKs on android phones, I'm not sure about the QQ app on the Apple App Store. You have to use your personal number they send you a verification text. Hope this helps.

It's ok, don't worry, thanks for check though.

When I've tried, I tried Playstore version and did not work, then I've tried on their official website, there:

https://ssl.zc.qq.com/v3/index-en.html

Once you try to register, they say for security reasons to do on the APP and give you a QR code, on the QR code it's their page with the APK, but this one also gives me the same error from Store, could you please tell me where you downloaded the APK that worked? I'll try later once more, thank you

I've used my own number, that number I already have Weibo registered and with the Weibo I got the paper.tv account, but QQ never works...

Any clue?

I cropped the screenshots and put them together for info, one of the ideograms is wrong, I did not managed to make Google translate understand one of them, but I think that don't affect much in the whole error msg

Little more info about Miyamoto Chuya Grim Reaper, again this is translated from japanese:

"All the works in this book can be made with just one origami paper. "Grim Reaper" by Soraya Miyamoto, which is said to be the most difficult, has an astonishing 464 steps. This work was published in 2012 as a handout for the Japanese Origami Society. When it was published in this book, it was planned to remake the figure a little and complete it in about a month, but it will be different as it improves. It was decided to redraw from scratch, and it took half a year to complete."
