Interesting, Tanteidan releases (magazines and convention books) are available online soon after first publishing.
Does it proofs that Japanese people are more generous than west world individuals?
>>
>>568660
No. It is only because those books are the most famous and/or wanted, for some reasons.
Also, the magazines are often first shared by a non-Japanese.

ask for it, it is more likely that you'll get 'No' from someone.

And if you ask for new 2018 issue of Tanteidan magazine you'll probably get it pretty soon.

does anyone have langs insects II?
>>

Any particular model you are looking for ?
>>
>>568719
It is here.

https://www.scribd.com/document/385670710/Robert-J-Lang-Origami-Insects-Vol-2-pdf

It only took a few seconds to google it.
>>
>>568721
>It only took a few seconds to google it.
You should tell him to Google it instead of posting it here. Next time he will just ask for something else without searching it first.
>>
i did a quick google before posting and the only thing i saw was scribd. that site doesn't let you download the pdf unless you pay. i'm looking for a copy of the book.
>>
>>568723
They don't charge anything. You just have to sign up, upload something, and then you can download.
It's like an exchange thing.
>>
>>568723
>i did a quick google before posting
Well, Insects 2 is in scrbd and is free. So what can you say except you did a lousy search. Most likely because you expect some other people will do the job for you.
>>
>>568723
Another trick with scribd is to go to the file you want, scroll down each page of the file (even if it's a
preview with many of the pages missing), and when you reach the last page, right click your mouse
and click on save as (web page complete) and it will save all the images to a zip file. Then you can create your own pdf from the images.
>>
>>568726
>Another trick
That's a neat trick. Thanks for sharing this technique.
>>
that's a neat trick, someone sent me the link. if anybody needs this, here's the link

http://origami-art.us/images/origami-book/Origami_insects/Origami_insects.pdf
>>
>>568726
Oops, sorry, I meant it saves all the images to a single folder, not a zip file (be sure to save it to your desktop so you can find it easier).
Create a new folder to put all the images in, so you can separate them from all the other junk that comes with them. Then create your own pdf.

Thing is my upload speed is complete garbage, actual dial-up tier. So it'll take days to upload a few gbs, despite my download speed being decent. Guess I got jewed by my ISP.
If my collection ever gets to be something worth torrenting I'll just put it on a USB, go to a cyber cafe, dump it all on a PC, create a torrent and leave it seeding. I'm 100% sure no one will ever notice.
So far most of my shit is from that one anon's google drive folder but I'm slowly adding shit I find. If anyone knows of folders and zips with good stuff post them here and I'll add them to my collection. Once it hits 10 GB I'll for sure torrent it like I said in the last paragraph

>>
>>569475
This bullshit is only related to /po/ and in no way to the origami community at large.
There are many helpful forums in different languages (I don't even include "sharing forums" in those), associations (and conventions all year round) in lots of countries, magazines from those associations, etc.

So, anyone really wanting/needing help can find it (probably not here though).
The origami community is strong and helpful, but /po/ is not a part of it (as mentioned many times in this thread, here is about hoarding books and diagrams, not about folding).

Origami is a craft that many pick up early and like other arts of its not encouraged them they often fall off by senior school ..due to pressures of choosing serious subjects...
However there's another milestone in that by the time college exams come along literally most that given up paperfolding ...maybe friends found it embarrassing or impractical...there again you get a huge drop off of online followers that may or may not come back to the art form...depending on what is expected of them

Alright so far I have like 8.7 GB of shit + over a thousand individual models I have to sort one by one to make sure they aren't already in a book.
In the meantime I'll post the list of shit I got. If anyone has something they wanna share so I can put it in the torrent please post it or a link to it. I just picked whatever book I thought to be decent enough to keep but since I have little interest in things other than figurative origami I have a big lack of shit like modular, tessellation, flowers, dollar and other shit so if anyone has anything around those lines they feel is too good not to kept please share it too.
Also I'm avoiding adding magazines since those will be a huge pain to get a complete collection of just one long running magazine let alone many.

It's a magnet link of a torrent with 10GB of random origami books. You open it with a torrent client

I wouldn't bother if I were you although it's very kind of you to do that. I'd simply upload all those things to Google drive and share to every and anyone who is interested. Let them sort things out themselves.

Oh, thank you sir. This "torrent client" is totally new to me. I just searched a bit of it and it seems like a software, is it ? So do I just download a "torrent client", run it and paste that "magnet:?xt=urn:btih:8490cf......" in that software ?

If you fold it as well, I'll upload #4 which has 20 steps and so on. You can refuse to fold half of them, that's 10 times. I'm willing and even more happy to upload all of them for you. My understand is, boars usually refer as wild boars. They have tusks like those I posted.
Pigs are usually domestic. They do not have tusks and are usually kept in farms. Anyway, are you looking for those with or without tusks ?
>>
>>570183
>My understand is, boars usually refer as wild boars. They have tusks like those I posted.
Ah, I didn't know that difference - I'm not native English-speaker.
For me, just "boars" are the wild animals with tusks. And "pigs" are the pink ones with no tusk, which is where we get ham, bacon, etc.
And so, I am looking for boar / wild boar, like those you posted - that is the animal for the next year in Japan.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, and than you for the pictures and source already.

After we are in the middle or end of page 10. This is a slow board, no need to rush.

>i cant even login and idk why
Sounds like a personal problem. Most people don't have a problem logging in. Maybe they don't like your attitude. They have one of the largest book and magazine libraries on the internet. They just don't want their links posted on other websites. If you want to share what you get from them, then upload them to your own file host with your own links.

No name ex-vagos is a strange site..it takes a day or two to get up and started since the verification comes through slowly..
Once you've signed up and verified you should be able to download in every forum

Don't tell me, tell the idiot who can't create an account and login.

Firstly I use only Google (because it's supported) secondly for fuck sake I can't log in because there is problem with their site their servers doesn't work I think someone fucked up with JavaScript because on normal sites when you do something wrong there is an alert if you can't do something so easy then don't make a website...

I'm sorry, but people are absolutely entitled to be reluctant about having to sign up to a crappy web forum. Especially on 4chan, a website that thrives on the fact that no one signs up. Not that anon; don't give people a hard time about this, this imageboard is perfectly adequate at rehosting resources.

Does anyone have the IOIO 2018 diagrams? I'm looking for the scorpion by Li Lianhua. Tried Googling but only folded images were available. Thanks!
>>
>>570771
Nah, you don't want to fold that. It's a pain in the fingers for a so-so result.
>>
Anyone has "Last Temptation" from Sebastien Limet

>scorpion model suggestions
Enter origami scorpion in google.
>>
>>570777
Kota imam's scorpion, his first version. Theres only a crease pattern but it is very basic, if you understand the very basics of box pleating, even just from 3d box pleating steps in diagrams, you should be able to collapse it. The shaping is also self explanatory with nothing to really figure out, the final result always looks impressive too.

Does anyone have this BOS 2016?
