If you have a card reader that will read Memorystick try formatting it in Windows as FAT32

There were different generations of Memorystick and some cameras may not support the larger ones, I haven't been behind the wheel of Snoy in a while but I've seen this with older SD and CF cards.

tried it and it didnt work. however, this is the situation: i got 2 old cybershots. one of them has never accepted the card. the other one told me a bunch of times to "reset the camera", which was partially solved by formatting the memorystick in camera (it gave the error half of the time). it seems to have been totally solved by formatting to FAT32, now that im testing it (zero errors).

but the other cam has never accepted the stick, its a 256MB one, so i doubt this one is too much/too modern for the camera. so im thinking this might be hardware related, something simple like reseating a ribbon, but this shit is crammed tightly, might end up killing it if i tear it apart even more.

Read the part pertaining to Memory Stick PRO, that may be your problem.

Which camera is giving you the issue?

My first camera was a Cybershot P73. I do miss the discovery phase before I got the equipment I have now, but those are just my own changing expectations. It's always important to remember your first.

I remember this phone needing Memory Stick Duo which was more expensive compared to the standard Multi Media Card (MMC) back then.

I swear Sony has the reverse Midas touch, everything they touch turns to shit. Minolta, Ericsson, the entire camera industry, what else have they ruined?
>>
>>4179172
sony vastly improved minolta and cameras in general

minolta before they bought them was a failing company that wasn't even third best. now we have the A7 series, the best cameras on earth, and some of the best lenses period.

I own pic related. It's pretty good and feels comfy. Could be a great camera to shoot random stuff in street like daido moriyama.
