the 50-140 is fucking amazing, hands down the best lens I've ever used but i'm not sure I wouldn't be better served by the 70-300 or the new 18-120. have any of you every sold the 50-140 and regretted it?
>>
>>4043182
I'm having a similar debate with myself. I want a zoom pretty much just for landscape, most of my shots are under 140mm but I do use 300mm often enough. For shots up to 140mm, would there be any appreciable IQ difference between the 50-140, 55-200, or 70-300 at f5.6-16? If not I might just go with the 55-200 because it's way cheaper, with used 70-300s still selling for retail price
>>
>>4043189
the 50-140 is stunning but i'd definitely get the 55-200 if I were you. unless you're pixel peeping I'd reckon there'd barely be a difference. I'd go 50-140 if you have the cash and highly value build quality, constant 2.8 and weather sealing but otherwise the 55-200 is great
>>
>>4043182
name of lens?
>>
>>4043256
fujinon xf + those ranges
>>
I wonder how the 50-140 and other red badge zooms will hold up with 40mp sensors. I don't have any so I don't know how they compare to things like 35 f1.4 vs 35 f2 vs 33 f1.4 and whether updates will be required, but I suppose people are more forgiving of softness on a zoom.
>>
New X-E4 or used X-T3 for the same price? The first has the nice new film sim and newer sensor. Also ligther and smaller (my main reason for APS-C). But not sure how the ergonomics are with bigger lenses.
>>
Ordered a x-t4 kit + 35mm2 f2 yesterday after debating with myself if I should spend that much for the last 3 months (I grew up poor , it is hard to fight this mentality).

I really hope I didn't fuck up
>>
>>4043283
you fucked up posting about it on 4chan. I hope some asshole won't try to bring you down.

anyway, you didn't fucked up if and only if you use it frequently and have fun. it's the best apsc body out there, it's a nice lens. fun duo.

don't listen to could have/would have/should have faggots.
>>
>>4043282
xt3 and xe4 are the same sensor
if its your only camera, xt3. but the compactness of the xe4 is hard to ignore.
>>
>>4043287

the lack of grip on the xe4 though… i’d get an xt30ii
>>
>>4043286
>don't listen to could have/would have/should have faggots.
He could've bought a XT3 and use the extra money for 2 more lenses :^)
>>
>>4043338

Why do I have the feeling that many people that own Fuji cameras do not even use them properly and just have them because of the aesthetics?
We have reached a point where the "vibe" surrounding a certain type of hobby, in this case photography, is more important than the actual results of said hobby.
I've noticed a shit ton of short videos popping up where someone is using Fuji or analog cameras, but you never see the results either because they can't take photos for shit, it's all about the "idea" of using a camera and looking cool while walking around town with a camera hanging from your neck.

Ridiculous.

That's mainly film, Fujis are too expensive as a fashion accessory. Film cameras meanwhile can be had for $50
>>
>>4043375
Possibly.

>>4043377
That's fine and not the type of person I'm talking about. It's mostly people that buy cameras purely for the "vibe". Most of the times they actually post pictures of themselves holding said cameras.

>>4043378
I do agree with that, but the X100V seems to be quite popular among the fake photography crowd.

>>
>>4043381
Depends on your definition of fake photography. I think a lot of Instagram people bought one because they want to get into photography and all of Instagram seems to use one. It's definitely a fashion accessory but I also think they bring it with them on holidays and such.
Besides what's the problem for you? I buy all my gear from idiots who buy camera stuff for their Thailand backpack trip and keep it stashed away with 1500 clicks in some container.

mine was super soft and the aperture range was rough. i sold it for about what I paid for it though so nbd but i was mad at myself for buying it for a while.

it's extremely hard to beat in terms of versatility though, especially for it's relatively small light build. if you truly don't care about sharpness and are always shooting during the day, i'd be hard pressed to show you anything that'd suit you better

AliExpress for a couple of bucks.
>>
is this the thread for filmfags wanting to switch to digi
i basically want my shitty old lenses + fuji film recipes and grain options
is the xpro 2 the best budget option for this?
>>
>>4043489
"best" is subjective - I'd say no, because you get everything from the xpro2 in the x-t2, or even the x-e2 for cheaper. If you only want an xpro then yes it's fine, adapters for old glass are $15 on amazon
>>
>>4043489
I know it's a meme that the X-Pro1's sensor has some kinda magic to it, but as someone who still owns and shoots the X-Pro1 and 2, the X-Pro1 will give you everything you want + some extra spiiiiiiiiice in the form of ridiculous ISO performance, plenty of resolving power, and a certain something to the RAWs should you choose to shoot them in addition to those fim-reciped jpegs.
If you're really on a budget and go for the X-Pro1 over the X-Pro2, you might be pleasantly surprised.
>>
>>4043283
That's a very good camera and a very solid lens. You didn't fuck up. Try your best not to be overwhelmed. Cameras are expensive and a lot of us feel sick when we spend $2000 all at once. Not everyone here is rich.
>>
>>4043498
thank you, that's very useful to know.

i'm not too tied to the x pro, the optical viewfinder seemed pretty cool but that's the only reason really.
i mean I don't even need anything particularly technically amazing with a billion AF points or anything, just something that can do some good film emulations right out of camera, that's the main thing. from a technical perspective my OM1 is sufficient for me and it has zero tech other than a lightmeter.

>>4043502
xpro 1 is a good 200-300 cheaper, I might as well opt for that if it does everything I need

generally speaking are there any differences in the X series cameras as to how well they can do film recipes? or how well they can do grain?
thanks guys.
>>
>>4043512
oh and the other thing I forgot to mention - as I'll be using manual focus lenses, do all the X series cope well with them? I want to be able to use something that makes it easy to focus with rather than vaguely looking at the viewfinder / zooming in on the lcd to see what's in focus. if I can focus from within the viewfinder that would be perfect.
>>
>>4043512
The more recent the camera the more built in film simulations it has, and the more settings to create your own film simulation. The X-Pro 2 has Acros and Classic Chrome which are both highly popular simulations the X-Pro 1 lacks.
>>
>>4043522
are the built in simulations good? or are the best ones the ones that people create - and can these creations be used on any X mount camera?
>>
>>4043514
There are a few manual focus assist modes on Fujis. Most people use focus peaking. It actually works pretty well, even when you're using AF lenses.

This article goes through all the focus assist modes, and there's a chart of which cameras have what:
https://www.jmpeltier.com/fujifilm-manual-focus-assist-modes/
>>
>>4043532
ah that's a great link thank you so much
>>
>>4043525
Yes the simulations are good, but the simulations you create are derivatives of other simulations, so the later cameras have more simulation creation options since they have more bases to start with, and more settings to tweak: for instance the Color Chrome FX Blue simulation setting only exists on the newest cameras.

Classic Chrome and Acros are really good. Quite subtle and never over the top but very nice and also CC is a good base to start editing from.
Classic Neg is new and arguably the best film imitation they made so far. It's a bit too much for me but you can't deny it's good.
Then there's a few very utilitarian sims such as pro neg for portraits or eterna for film making.

No, not at all. The latest Fuji cameras have a huge list of options not found on older models. If you go to those websites where people share "film sims" you'll find these always mention whether they're for X-Trans III or IV for example.

Is the X100V a good buy?
There's a decent EOFY sale I'm seeing but I don't want to pull the trigger if there's a refreshed SKU or something in the pipes.

Mainly interested in wildlife, landscapes/architecture, etc. for kinda holiday-ey purposes and also macro shots for hobby shit, but I think my lifestyle has changed a bit recently and I may be taking more portrait photos. I don't own any camera bodies currently, this is me looking to upgrade from a smartphone (which is shit).
>>
>>4044394
it's not a do-everything camera but it's a daily camera and its fucking amazing at that.
be realistic with yourself with what you are actually shooting because it's not a wildlife camera, and it's not really a macro camera. think of it as your phone camera on steroids.

>>4044394
In general yes but
>wildlife
no
>macro
maybe if you just want close-ups
New model is some ways away still.
>>
>>4044394
Lifestyle and portraits are doable, but honestly at least for me portraits with x100v kinda got boring very quickly. Sure if you know how to shoot you can get some nice portraits with the camera.
x100v is not really suitable for wildlife and landscape/architecture. for that you need wider lenses or telephotos.
Go for XE-4, its cheaper and you can change lenses for the camera.
>>
>>4044398
What the hell kind of camera is this for everyone to be recommending then if it's mediocre across just about all use cases?
I don't have 8000 AUD to be spending on a body and then another 8k for lenses. I have like 2k AUD and that's stretching it.

>>4044396
>>4044395
Fuck it, how about the X-T4 then? A lens kit is 2500 AUD and at least then I can pick up more glass down the track, but I was attracted to the idea of not needing a bunch of extra shit to haul around.
>>
>>4044400
You could slap a small all-purpose lens like the xf 27mm, xf 23mm/2, or xf 35mm/2 on any of the interchangeable lens bodies and never have to worry about it. A lot of people do that. One camera, one lens. Get more later if you want to. You're stressing yourself out, man.
>>
>>4044250
Fuji colors are so nice and the lens on that x100 is spectacular, so sharp and with such creamy bokeh!
>>
>>4044400
X100V is best at what it does, just doesn't make sense to buy one if you don't know what it is.
>>
X-Pro bromos, recommended lenses?
>>
>>4044442
Whatever Fuji sells that comes with a square hood so the 18mm f2, 35 f1.4 and 27mm if you buy the custom hood.
>>
>>4044379
Seems solid, but I've pretty much lost interest in midrange zooms.

>>4044400
Some people don't need or want to take pictures of everything / every genre. An X100V could realistically handle 90% of the pictures I take, but it might handle 0% for other people. It's a niche camera, great for what it is, but definitely not for everyone.
Different types of photography lend themselves to different types of lenses. There are some versatile options than do well at most things, but it's usually ideal to have lenses more specialized for the type of shooting you want to do.

>>4044442
35/2 or 27/2.8 are my favorites. I prefer the 35/2 to 35/1.4, and the 18/2 and 23/2 I'm pretty lukewarm about. They're totally usable, just not as great. Depends on the model too. I prefer 23/27 on an X-Pro3, and 18/50 on an X-Pro2, and 35 is similar enough on both.
>>
>>4044465
>I prefer 23/27 on an X-Pro3, and 18/50 on an X-Pro2
Why different preferences on the two?
>>
>>4044468
Different magnifications of the OVF. X-Pro3 gives you a larger view of 23/27, but can't show frame lines at 18 (OVF edge is rough ballpark), and the X-Pro2 shows a larger view 35/50.

EVF of the X-Pro3 is just better (larger, higher resolution, better refresh rate), so if you just use EVF, then all the lenses work well. The OVF is "larger" (less tunnel-y), but you aren't necessarily using the full view for certain focal lengths anyways. Pic related.

Would you buy a xf56mmf1.2, xf23mmf1.4, and xf16mmf1.4 for $900? They’re all optically and physically perfect. Come with front and rear caps, no hood, and no box or. All are v1. I would be buying from my dads friend who switched systems
>>
>>4044474

For that price, fuck yes.
>>
Redpill me on the x100v meme, thinking of switching from a Canon RP for the form factor.
>>
>>4044485
Just be sure that 35mm- equivalent is what you want, and that you actually prefer the form factor
The X100 series is very, very nice, but over time, I learned that I was more of a 50-70mm equivalent sort of person (which you can do on the X100 series with first-party attachments), and that I actually prefer the larger size and handling of the X-Pro series.
>>
>>4044486
Thanks for the answer bro, I actually like handling a larger kit, but it’s always too bothersome to dig out for those everyday photo opportunities. And I have to actively go out of my way to take photos with the RP, whereas I imagine I could just put the x100 in my jacket when I go out for walks or anywhere else remotely interesting
>>
are sensor comparisons pointless? I was thinking of getting a X-E4 but i saw a X-T1 for sale for dirt cheap and all the people saying OMG SOUL cause it has better "color science". I only really shoot jpeg so xtrans 4 with its film sims seem to be the best
>>
>>4044489
get a strap, wear your camera at your hip (like a messenger bag) and always have it with you
If it's small enough you won't even notice it's there when you don't use it, but always have it ready

have done this ever since I've started photography, can't fathom the idea of not carrying my camera every time I go out of the house even just for groceries
>>
>>4044492
If you shoot jpeg the latest generation of fujis is always the right choice. They add lots of jpeg options such as in your case classic neg and chrome blue
>>
Should I buy a x100V now or wait for the x100V successor to drop? Recently sold my x-t30 to shoot/dev/scan film but I don’t really like the whole process honestly :\ , I love film look I just don’t like all the effort it takes AND film is getting pretty expensive in Canada.
>>
>>4044595
x-e4 will be replaced further off, is cheaper and as mentioned a lot this thread, multiple lenses. i guess if you're in vancouver you'd want WR though.
>>
>>4044604
I think I’d go towards the x100 series since I want something that’s pocketable (forgot to mention) this time. I’ve been carrying a Konica recorder everywhere this past month and it made me realize that the only reason I rarely used my x-t30 was because it was too cumbersome to carry, for me at least. Also, is fuji still adding new stuff for their film simulation?
>>
>>4043650
i like this :)
>>
>>4044612
the x100 isn't pocketable, a big jacket pocket at best.. I had a rx100m3 and it was barely pocketable - I was kidding myself that it was. Considering that the x-h2s was just announced/released, a new x100 is imminent, so that might push down the price of the x100v, I wouldn't count on it going down much though.
>>
>buy an xpro1 as a meme because why not it's only $300

I'm sorry I ever doubted any of you.

It’s an event, you don’t wanna change lenses and you want to tell a story so usually you have a trio of shots of every cosplayer, one wide angle, one full body portrait and one face portrait.

However: if you want primes.
If you want to really get compressed background and subject isolation either get the 56mm f1.2 or the 90mm f2 primes.
If you want flexibility: 33mm f1.4 or 23mm f1.4

is it possible to use the 18-55 as a budget 56/1.2?

>>
>>4045904
>is it possible to use the 18-55 as a budget 56/1.2?
not really
look, ive had the 56 f/1.2 and sure there's novelty in shooting it wide open, omg muh bokeh omgomg. but you know what? its stupid, and you get over it after a few hours, especially when you realise blowing out your entire image in blur is just hiding your failures in composition and creativity.
looking through my entire catalogue I usually shoot that lens at f/1.8-f/2.4.
the 90mm f/2 is a fucking amazing lens

Yes ofc it is, but the longer focal length on that one makes it hard for subject separation, the 90mm f2 is better but you have to scream at your cosplayer.
As an option look at the 50mm f2 wr
>>
>>4045904
90mm f2 is an amazing lens but won't really work at a convention imo, people will keep walking through your frame. Even the 56 might be a bit tricky if you want to frame anything close to a full body shot, I recommended it before I read you were going to a con desu.
Worth considering either the 35 F1.4 (which has really nice vintage-ish rendering wide open) or 35 f2 (if you need af-c for action shots)

What's the verdict on the XT1 or XT10 models in current year? As a poorfag am I better off just going the m43 route? m43 seems to have lots of varied cheap glass options that I could stack over time but I was thinking of getting an XT1 with the 16-50 zoom and just not looking at gear again for a long time. You're welcome. :)
At the bottom of every long sub-menu page there's a fraction indicates how many pages of options there are to scroll through. Display one has 3. Scroll through everything to see what all is in there. Anyway, I have an X-T3. I have a bunch of info on my screen, but when I hit the Disp./Back button on the back of the camera it toggles between all the goodies and nothing but picture. When I'm using the EVF that button toggles the size of the image to crop the info out of the frame. It's useful for when you're going in-between composing and figuring out exposure. Does the X-E4 do this?
>>
>>4046789
The XE4 does that, but it also disables the grid (unless its in those settings that the other anon suggested). I haven't gotten to check. Been working all day.

90mm is way too much for a convention. I went to my first anime con earlier this year carrying a 56mm and while the convention area was very spacious and open, the nature of the convention means that crowds are always forming and flowing. You're going to have a hard time maneuvering around such a close shot. I was much more comfortable just moving in closer to the people I wanted to shoot, but social etiquette still applies: if you don't know the subject, ask them first.
It's easy to get in good with the cosplayers if you just compliment their efforts with something vague and non-creepy. Do say: "I love your outfit! Can I get a picture?"
Don't say: "That bunny girl suit really makes your tits look rockin', can I get a picture?"
The 18-55 is a very solid lens that will let you take a variety of shots from both short and medium distance, while still being able to pull in enough light that you won't have to compensate by raising the ISO or lowering the shutter speed, both of which will negatively impact the quality of the shot. A shot that's a little dark at the moment you take it is much easier to fix later on compared to a shot that has a lot of noise or motion blur.

I went with the 55-200 ofter the 50-140 because I couldn't justify the cost. If I shot telephoto more than occasionally, It would have considered springing for the 50-140. Unless you do really long shots often enough to use the far end of the 70-300 or 55-200, I'd keep the 50-140. You know you like it after all.

Is Fuji XT3 with a kit 18-55 a worthy buy if I wanna use it for travel photography and portraits of friends and hoes? I'm not a beginner, I've been shooting on a full frame DSLR for years not but I want something new and more portable. Is it worth considering or should I not bother at this point ?

It's an ongoing problem (the first photo was on purpose though). It looks perfectly in focus to me in the moment when I set up the shot, and the focus aids built into the XT3 also say the shot should be in focus, but when I upload the photos to my computer suddenly I see how out of focus it all is. I've just assumed its my own bad vision, but the camera itself says its in focus too.

The local 7Artisans rep sort of gifted me a few things. Honestly most stoked about the 18mm f6.3 body cap "lens". Super tiny, fixed focus, fixed aperture.
Turns my x-pro2 into the perfect lo-fi / "disposable" type camera, works great with the OVF, just point & click.
Ugly aesthetic design but easy enough to fix.

Used the Fuji App for bulb mode on trying to capture some lightning (failed though, there wasn't much lightning and opening the lens forever isn't an option either in a city) but was pleasantly surprised, no to buy a remote in 2022 I guess, worked exactly as expected. sell x100t. i cant believe people fall for the x100 meme. If you cant afford the additional $300 to get a lens then dont buy it at all and save until you can get it. I used shoot Canon FF until 2012 when I thought I'd pick up one of these new X Pro 1s as a small fun camera for travel and within two years I'd sold my 5D and 5D2 and Canon lenses and went all in on Fuji. The AF was much worse back then, and the lens ecosystem much less fleshed out, but I've not regretted it for a moment - the cameras make you want to pick them up and shoot them. That being said, they are different, so I would suggest if you know anyone with one it would be a good idea to get your hands on it for a while, or perhaps consider renting a body and a lens that is equivalent to one of your favourites. You'll adore it or you won't.

they're more akin to lightroom/photoshop RAW presets people buy. A big part of shooting fuji is to get SOOC pictures the way you want them and not having to bother with RAW editing. The film simulations change colour, highlights, contrast/shadows, etc.

>I handhold shooting at night on an xpro just fine without ibis

Outside of shooting FF + f1.4 primes / f2.8 zooms wide open, you can pretty much get the same results with Fuji pretty easily (in terms of fov, dof, and lowlight performance).

right is adobe default, left is 1-click enhance, no other adjustments made to either
if you play around with the sharpening settings (not using the default settings), you can minimize it significantly, usually lower "amount" / higher "detail"
if you use LR, the "enhance" feature basically gets rid of it entirely
you can run your files through x-transformer before importing to LR, and that gets rid of it
if you use CaptureOne, it's significantly less noticeable even at default
again, these are 100% crops, you can't see it at all viewed normally
the trade off is less chroma noise and less moire

i guess there is also the "purple grid" issue when shooting backlight
anecdotally I've only ever noticed in on my X-T2 (not x-pro2/3 or x-t3), and simply reframing by moving a few inches is often enough to eliminate it
>>
>>4048602
no the issue is adobe has never bothered to fix their sharpening algorithm, it doesn't work on x trans sensors that's what generates worms
capture one doesn't have the same problem, it has nothing to do with the x trans sensor
>>4048607
yeah i think the xt2 was actually the last camera to have that problem, they fixed it on the xt20
>>
>>4048620
Don't get me wrong, I see it as a total non-issue in practice, and it's ridiculous how much gets made out of it. I understand your framing, and would absolutely agree it's the fault of Adobe's approach to debayering and sharpening.
I think it's still fair to say there's a problem with "x-trans" when cameras with x-trans just aren't as functionally compatible with the most widely used processing software.
Just two different ways at looking at the same issue. If you don't shoot x-trans, is a non-issue, and if you do, it might (but shouldn't really) be a concern.

What was incorrect with what I said?
I'll say it again, I think it's a total non-issue for real world use, with plenty of workaround options, and you're absolutely right it has more to do with Adobe than x-trans itself. I guess I see Adobe x-trans compatibility issues as an issue related to x-trans, and you don't. Difference in perspective.
>but pleddit says I've been bamboozled because of the xtrans sensor. What are they going on about?
How would you answer OP? Just say, there's no issue?

Totally agree with you!
>the issue is adobe has never bothered to fix their sharpening algorithm
Are you saying now that it's not in fact an issue with Adobe's sharpening algorithm, but instead that x-trans users are all just guilty of applying an idiotic amount of sharpening?

Is it that Adobe's sharpening is worse for x-trans that other sensors? That's what I meant here
>if you play around with the sharpening settings (not using the default settings), you can minimize it significantly
Sorry for not stating that clearly enough, but I did also say
>absolutely agree it's the fault of Adobe's approach to debayering and sharpening
You're saying it's not x-trans, it's the sharpening. I'm saying, it's the adobe sharpening in combination with x-trans specifically. Again, just a different perspective to the "problem".

Still noticeable to me here.
>>
>>4048731
every time you edit jpg and save you get new artefacts. best way to compare is simply open original jpg's in new tab window and switch between them.
I applied the same (max) sharpening on all 3 images and everything else is untouched default and saved with native res.
>>
>>4048735
>every time you edit jpg and save you get new artefacts.
Absolutely correct! Odd that it seems the artifacting is so different for 1 of them. I can still see the difference viewing with your method (just switching tab's), but maybe it's really good eyesight?
I'm thinking I'll grab a few more cameras to throw in, and maybe 24mp & 26mp x-trans too.
I'll make it B&W too, so you can't distinguish by subtle color differences either. We'll see if we can spot the x-trans again!
>>
>>4048717
>>4048722
But why would you apply same amount of sharpening? Sharpening is per sensor and camera dependant. You only apply as much as it is needed.

Nitpicking a sharpening amount that cause sharpening artefacts on one camera makes you appear very dishonest in your testing.
>>
>>4048739
>But why would you apply same amount of sharpening?
So true! Which is why I said above x-trans needs a different approach to sharpening. Anon chose the same sharpening across all to show that all cameras have issues with idiotic sharpening amounts, and you can clearly see x-trans looks different if you do that.
>Sharpening is per sensor and camera dependant. You only apply as much as it is needed.
Totally agree again! I don't see the point in cranking sharpness all the way.
I guess I'll wait to do a "fair" comparison until someone gives me proper sharpening settings for each.
>>
>>4048741
>until someone gives me proper sharpening settings for each.
It's zero regarding adobe's raw sharpening tech across all brands. It's look is cringe as fuck and should not be used in any case. Bring it to photoshop and play with unsharp mask or smart sharpen filters.

18-55mm and 50-230mm if you're budget constraint.
otherwise 35mm f.2, 27mm f2.8, 50mm f2.0 (or 56mm 1.2) will cover all your ranges and are relatively cheap

I was surprised I couldn't see much difference between an X-T3 and X-T30 EVF in the store. If anything the X-T3 was so magnified I struggled to see the corners and the angle made it blurry with my glasses (but I also didn't know how to adjust the diopter).
To be honest all cameras had a significantly better EVF than my current Fuji S200 EXR with its 200K dots panel, except the GX9 with its migraine inducing rainbow effect and flickering. Even the A7C was a big step up.
It's pretty cool that EVF technology has come this far really.

>>
I'm probably stupid but

What's the most efficient way to swap between film recipies you wanna use? I'm on an xe4, and I have set up two "Custom Settings" under the "edit/save custom setting"

but where the fuck do I swap between these? I'm losing my mind
>>
>>4050155
You can cycle profiles on the Q menu. Big-brain move is to label them with custom names that tell you what WB, WB shift and EV compensation
>>
I'm new to non-compacts:
When you're entering a lens ecosystem, at a given budget is it better to allocate more to the body or the glass?

Looking at an XT-4; seems a handsome little unit with everything I need and could want, but I mostly take pictures of people- and eying that 50mm f1.0 (which looks great for cons) both wpuld put me over.
>>
Those camera comparison sites tell me the xt-30 ii is better than the xe-4 in practically every way (same price, roughly the same size), yet no one ever mentions it. Am I missing something here?
>>
>>4050616
Always twords the glass. In a few years your $1000 camera body will be worth $600. Your $1000 lens will still be worth $1000.

It's also worth noting that the main thing the xt-4 has over the xt-2 other than the stabilization is firmware related stuff. More flexible color modes if you use sooc jpgs, better autofocus when shooting video, faster processing of long exposures, etc. There is barely any noticable difference between the 26mp sensor and the previous generation 24mp one.
>>
>>4050627
Ibis, weather sealing.
>>
>>4050627
Xe-4 is smaller. Nothing poking out, you can fit it in your pocket.
>>
>>4050629
That was my thought as well, but I noticed a couple v2 lenses in the selection available and that gave me pause to ask.
Thanks for clarifying though. Makes sense, and it doesn't look like the X-mount is going to be suddenly retired or anything. There's not a big following in my country for Fujifilm though so secondhand bodies are uncommon; lots of factors to consider, basically.
>>
>>4050627
It should be €/$100 more expensive despite being the same in every other regard so from that point of view the X-E4 gives better price-quality. I would still happily pay that 100 more for the form factor though.
