This was my first time double-fisting cameras during a shoot, and boy was it fun. Sony a7 w/ 24mm lens, and a Canon Rebel T5 w/ 35mm (56mm equivalent). Rate/criticize/completely ignore!

Ok, that's it

She said what and I told her that I didn't know
>>

Wouldn't a 24-70mm f2.8 be the ideal lens for this?
>>
>>3966305
Sure. If I owned one

the wife says she is amazed you didnt get any photos of the attendees or anything else, just 5 shots of these assholes, with the lead singer looking like he is having a stroke in the first photo
>>
>>3966461
I did, but who wants to look at the attendees?
>>
>>3966731
who wants to look at more than 1 photo of the same thing over and over again, yet here you are posting a dozen pictures of the same people from the same position

but hey at least you downscaled the pictures to make sure if anyone steals them, they wont be able to make large prints of them. you should also add a large tacky watermark for extra protection.
>>
>>3966888
The job was shooting the band, dingus. Do you go out to shoot someone’s headshots and then take pictures of the pretty birds instead? Also, downscaling is etiquette on this board. You must be new.
>>
>>3965993
Isn't having 2 different cameras a pain in the ass?
>>
>>3966930
It wasn’t too bad. Thems the breaks until I have enough disposable income to drop a G on a nice zoom lens
>>
>>3966934
Well I think you did good with what you have but I don't know anything
>>

Photos are nice and sharp, good action grabs, cool colors, sure the band will dig them

As this anon said >>3966461 its good to get shots of fans in frame to get the vibe of the event plus it shows they have a following and people are enjoying themselves.

Thanks for the feedback anon, you make a good point. Like I said, I did grab a few, but I wasn't sure they'd be worth sharing here
>>
What settings you use for concert photography? I plan to get to some small love show but don't want it to be some fuck up
>>
>>3969224
About what you would expect. Aperture wide open, shutter speed ~1/200 (lower if you don’t mind risking some motion blur), then raise ISO as much as you can without it becoming a grainy mess
>>
>>3965993
Pretty sick looking shots anon.
Usually when shooting concerts, in post I try to get those natural skin tones back especially when the lighting is more unappealing.
I’d bring the temperature slider over towards orange/yellow/red rather than blue/purple, then mess with the luminance and saturation of purples and blues in the HSL panel, assuming you’re using lightroom.
Other than I love the cropping/composition, as well as the expressions of the musicians, clean shots.
Pic related is a shot I took at a recent concert shoot.

Also, I keep forgetting to modify the copyright ownership on my camera, I bought this camera second hand, and it still has the previous owners info on it kek
>>
>>3970329
Damn, that’s really gorgeous. Thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely apply it next time I shoot one of these things
