That dude's great, he's currently the only photography channel I'm subbed to
>>
That looks funky... How'd that work in terms of developing b/w film?
>>
>>3950474
Did you take 3 different black and white pics with different filters? Looks neat.
>>

So it's technicolor but worse?

3 different black and white shots taken on fomapan 400 through red, green and blue filters respectively and then developed in stock D-76. You stack the scans in photoshop and that's about it.

It's not sarcasm, it's a joke. There is a difference. And you clearly don't get it, possibly owing to your mental capacities being fried by something.

How do you make a trichrome without photoshop? If I were to sandwhich each colour filter between three negatives and project it would it be in colour?

That sounds like a lot of fun! Only problem I can see is properly aligning the shots later on, because my scanners mask allows the negatives to wiggle around a bit. Is there any plugin for Photoshop to automatically tilt (...) pictures to align them on top of each other?
>>
>>3951347
It can do that natively, but I forgot what it's called

>>3951310
No you wouldn't see anything
You need to make colored prints in analog.
>>

Go for the big-brain move and tetrachrome.
>>
>>3951310
Yes, but you'd need to do it with tinted film. That's was og technicolour was.

No, you'd need to dye the individual prints. Naive mechanical sandwiching (as in the early bicolour systems) introduces introduces colour fringing and achromatism due to the colour layers being at different focal planes, so you then need to transfer the dyed elulsion itself from three strips onto one strip (with perfect registration). This is what the technicolour process did, and why it was so horrendously expensive.

With no digital editing at all, you could print black and white positive slides and then project them back through their corresponding RGB filters.

It's much easier to put the image together in photoshop, and then print each colored layer onto a slide. So you've got a red, green and blue slide and then project them back through three slide projectors with the same focal length.

That would be the traditional digichromatographic process.
