>>3795238>using the old cheap stuff?I had a 450D, it was awesome. Replaced it with a Sony A65 when they first came out (OMG 24 mechapickles!) and it still gets a lot of use. The tracking focus on it is pretty hit-n-miss, but I can take a series of 20 shots of a race bike coming towards me at 200+ kph and they'll all be in focus. Pretty good.
On the old side of things, I have this arriving tomorrow. Should be fun I think.Seems sturdy and cheap enough that I should be able to throw it in my pack when I go hiking without it getting damaged, and cheap enough that I won't cry if it does.[EXIF data available. >>3795749>niceThanks, I'll post some pics when I get a chance - assuming they're not complete shit. My first challenge is actually going to be finding some film in my small town.
>>3795679I also have a 500d.
My 300D. It takes beautiful photos. I would have stuck with it if not for the 4 photo buffer and tiny OVF. 7D is my main now.[EXIF data available. >>3795738that looks awesome! I have just bought a Ricoh 500G -but i am unsure about how much use i will be put to. just thought it was too cool to miss ;-)
>>3795792i also have the 300d -use it with a holge lens ;-)i would say that my 7D is my main -but mostly at just end up taking the 450d
>>3795751is it expensive -film and devlopment?i haven checked prices here ind denmark
>>3796274>is it expensive -film and devlopment?>i haven checked prices here ind denmarkNot if you can find somewhere that still does it!NZ converted to Euro bucks:$7.50 for a roll of decent film$10 to develop$35 for the camera and shipping (probably cheaper there, everything is more expensive in NZ.)The guy said he's sending some of my $$ back because I gave him too much ha haThey seem a cool little camera. Just bought it because I thought it looked sturdy. Since learned the viewfinder is purely to frame the shots - focus you have to guess between a range dial and aperture ha ha this will be a learning curve!Didn't arrive today, hopefully tomorrow morning.
>>3796270>I have just bought a Ricoh 500G -but i am unsure about how much use i will be put to.Nice! I'm not sure how much I'll use mine either, but never hurts to have another camera right?Hopefully will see some of your pics up here soon too!
>>3796286I also have my fathers old Olympus om10 -i love that camera, its aestetic in a way newer gear lacks. it will compete with the 500g when it comes to love and usage ;-)But as of today i have bought som 35mm films and i too hope to show you some analog snaps ;-)
I've recently sold 5d3 to my friend. It's shit compared to any new mirrorless cameras, but when I borrow 5d3 from him I really appreciate it how "just works".
>>3796274if you are fine with black and white, you could probably do it yourselfprices from hungary, with rough conversionsif the only thing you care about, is getting it done for cheap, you could get the cheapest bw film around 4-5 eur (foma 100,200,400)getting rodinal (6-8 eur for 200ml (dilute to 1+25 or 1+50))(or powdered foma dev, ~50cents/film if fully used)some cheap fixer (foma, 3-4 eur/lit here 1+5 ratio so 5liters)these are the consumablesthe equipment you'll need:a developping tank ~30 eur new, like 5-10 usedtermometer ~ 1-3 eura few dark containers (could use olive oil bottles and stuff)a big measuring bottle 1l (dont use your kitchen one, the chems are not food, get new one(s))a small measuring container, or syringe if you use rodinal
>>3796718forgot price/roll: at least 60 cents, 2 euros is a more realistic one, so around 6-7 eur/roll with filmwithout the equipment using the powdered dev~50 cents for dev (10 roll / 5 eur)~10 cents for fixer (~40-50 roll /4 eur)and you might what to use a wetting agent less than a cent (250ml/5,5 eur; 5ml /lit)so considering you'd go bonkers and use all the chem's its really cheap (all chems calculated with max capacity)also for hanging your negatives you could use a hanger, and clips
>>3795238Sell your Canon and buy a FUJI
>>3796721I like B/W and i could be great fun to develop my own films.. I have seen an all-in-one developer-liquid that could be a great starting point.
>>3796725if i should start all over with digital, i would go for the Ricoh GR III and just carry it around at any time. But i stick with the older cheap gear.
>>3795238I have a t3i, and I could see aliasing and shitty colors on video. then i got a gh5, and on my computer, i thought, damn this looks great, but I realized i was looking at a vid i took with the t3i.
>>3796766>gh5LOL ;-)i have been throu a lot of voodoo in my HI-FI days -after a lot of "upgrades" i vent back to my old gear and it sound just as fine ;-)

He'll yeah brother. I use my t2i often enough. Haven't felt the need to upgrade anything yet, so it will probavly last me another 10 years.

>>3797173You'd have to flip that little lever that would be there up and then turn it to disengage that little metal tab you see on pic related. The tab works like a key. Just back from picking up some film in NZ. Evidently there’s a national shortage. They had 2 rolls of 400 colour, they reckon the last 2 Kodak had, and couldn’t get anything from Fuji. And they were 50% more than usual. So basically 1 roll of film I don’t want left in my town for the next couple of months they reckon. Ah well.

VoigtlanderWhat does it mean in English?
>>3797915Nothing, it's a Germanic surname and has no inherent meaning. Voigt is old german for administrator, laender is land/region.
>>3797922I’d take that to mean Region Administrator.
>>3797980No, that would probably be Landvoigt. If you really insist it would be "Bailifflander".
