The sky is way too grey. And lack of empty space in some photos.
What I love about the way give white space in the foreground and background. The white space give the elements with in the frame a kind of anti-photographic and more "real" look. It's kind of like how we see other things. Ground is an omnipresent phenomena the way we perceive reality. So when we look at something vertical standing on a horizontal plane. The foreground and background are always in our subconsciousness but we consciously see things lying or standing on ground. The whiteness takes away the distraction and guide your sight directly to vertical/indifferent to whiteness elements.

I don't know what the fuck I am talking about. Maybe I am autistic. But this is the way I view your snow work. And this is the way I view things from the window of a car at least when I travel with in snowy areas. Yes I do see some shadows but most of the white snow look homogenous. So looking at photos like this >>3794934 it clicks some distant eerie feeling even though the objects in it are totally foreign to me.

ah I get you. And yeah I totally agree, thats why I enjoy shooting in these conditions so much. I've tried to match the sky/ground as best I can in terms of exposure but sometimes it's just cloudier than usual or something

I generally take a couple passes at processing stuff so I'll most likely have even more polished versions of these down the road anyway. Cheers.

I thought I did but I actually don't. Pretty sure I walked up there and the further building was just too short to get a decent angle on to cut off all the trees so I didn't bother. I enjoy the scene as is just not as minimal as I'd like it to be

that being said I definitely enjoy doing closeup stuff of similar types of things just that scene didn't really work out for it

It snowed in my town in Texas the other day which rarely ever happens, and that is what inspired it. It's going to be a short piece simply about snow falling on a town. My goal for it is to be a very visual piece that captures a small moment in time: kids playing in the snow, ice on the roads, etc. So far I've dictated a good bit of it but I haven't sat down to write it out yet.
It seems like it snows heavily where you are, or at least the snow lasts (it's all but gone here), so if you want to read the piece once I finish it and take a picture that you feel captures it that would be a dream, but otherwise I like that picture and if you wouldn't mind using it I would be much obliged. There is no attribution for that magazine so you would not get any credit for taking the picture, not sure if that matters to you (considering you post your work on 4chan I doubt you have a problem with your work being attributed to anonymous).
