honestly I have gotten tired of "good" photographs because they really take themselves, the cameras do everything.
Instead I have taken to not focusing my camera or looking through the finder, and trying for a pure Greenbergian modernist abstraction.

How is this any more difficult? If anything, it's easier. The act of taking a photo isn't hard in any case (weird OP in the first place). The skill lies in refining a personal style and being able to build up and present a cohesive body of work. The real problem of modern photography is the fact that it can be shared and distributed so easily by undesirables and for all the wrong reasons too.

It 100% depends on the type of photography.
All the snapshit iit sure they're easy to make.
>>
Taking pictures is easy. Actual composition and subject selection can be difficult.
>>
>>3698184

This. It's easy to just take a photo but a photo I really like is challenging.
>>
>>3698184
Like anything else, it's easy to get in to but hard to get good at.

Yes and no. With modern technology, taking photos is easy. It is EASY to take decent, aesthetically pleasing photos. Yet the nuances and subtleties of lighting, composition, balance and substance are so delicate that it takes years to master them. You can get 90% great photos in your first year. The last 10% is what defines whether someone is a good or a legendary photographer. Pic related, i am a legendary photographer

The act of photographing is easy.

"Good" photography depends on your interest and past experiences that may lead to an image resonating with you or not.

>Is painting too easy
Yes, just draw some birds and shit on the canvas or throw some paint and call it abstract bro

>is music too easy
Yes, just start making sounds with your mouth for 3 minutes and call it a song bro

>is film too easy
Yes, just start record with your phone for like 4 minutes and call it a film bro

>is photography easy
Yes, just take few snaps with your phone and call it your portfolio bro
>>
Noobs and non-photogs think it’s easy. In reality there’s a massive gulf between decent photogs and the pros.
