goyim are subhuman monkey niggers who need to be brain chipped and shackled in 100% totalitarian servitude (mega slavery) before we can ever even consider colonizing space

This is utter nonsense.
Literally nothing you said here is true.

For the same reason you are in the top 5% of fit males just because you can do 20 push ups and 10 pull ups.

because marketing is really fucking good.
a pair of wool socks, and well maintained PNW boots literally have no competition on the market in terms of durability and performance, but they let their name speak for them, like Whites and Nicks. you dont see ads for those boots. But they also cost $700. last you the rest of your life though.

synth boots will delaminate in a year, and the lining will wear out sooner than that. synthetic boots are made for consoomers who just wanna spend $250 every year and a half.

Terry pratchet:
"The reason that the rich were so rich, Vimes reasoned, was because they managed to spend less money. Take boots, for example. ... A man who could afford fifty dollars had a pair of boots that'd still be keeping his feet dry in ten years' time, while a poor man who could only afford cheap boots would have spent a hundred dollars on boots in the same time and would still have wet feet."

They don't though. Repetitive stress and exposure to moisture destroys any material, including full grain leather. Not as fast as synthetic materials for sure, but those $600 White's will only last a few years of hard wear assuming you actually take care of them and resole them. That's why firefighters who are THE use case for White's boots get stipends to buy new boots every year.

Boots are ultimately a consumable resource. It's better to spend $200 every couple years on new boots than $600 for boots that last twice as long, which need to be resoled for essentially the same cost anyway over the same time period.

Isn't this the truth
>>
>probably started with anti-leather movements from vegans, peta, and moms that wanted to cut their consumption of evil without making any actual sacrifice.
so they made pleather soccer shoes, and a million other things that would end up delaminating in a year and last in the trash for a millenia.

People have been gaslit to an insane amount to believe that goytex is a magical cure all for all their outdoor needs. Why spend more on actual leather boots when they can get a magical goytex pair for the half the price?
>>

I had a pair of boots last 6 years of military abuse and I gave them to my nephew after I got out. You're wrong about leather not lasting--shocking: if you take care of the leather it actually lasts significantly longer.

>>2669789 (OP)
because people who aren't poor value their knees more than a few pennies per mile in cost replacing their boots every few years.
the sustainability part is a problem though.
>>2671059
actual logger from the pnw here.
lmbo you really go recreationally hiking in 12 pound boots with a logger heel? they're great boots but not for that. more because of the heel than the weight.

Because they are lightweight. People have chicken legs and can not walk in heavy boots.
