Of the dozen I’ve killed, the 4 largest had the characteristic poorly fused snout of an animal that reached maturity on a grain diet fed into a pan instead of rooting through dirt for tubers and insects like a wild pig. This isn’t a genetic feature, it’s developmental and entirely diagnostic of a dipshit making the feral hog problem in the area worse on purpose.

Over here on the west coast in the columbia river they call the early in and ready to spawn salmon "tules" and they're horrible for food, not worth keeping.

I'm shore fishing in the pond. two weeks ago the bite was good, bass and pike in the shallow grass. eating bluegills and crappie and perchnow the bite is gone.where are the fish? i know that the baitfish are still in the same place. no rain, unseasonably warm sunny days.how do I shorefish bass and pike under these conditions?

What would be considered the "easiest" freshwater fish to catch in the southern US? I'm new to this and only managed to catch one fish the last five times I've gone out. I'm looking to build more confidence since I'm starting to feel like I'm just not gonna be good at this between getting skunked and tangling my line so much.

Anyone had any experience with these?I already own a rebel 100xp. Which is fine, but at the same time I'd like to have something with a bit more wiggle room. Also something more stable. Main thing I see needing done to this thing is a scupper hole, which looks easy enough to mod with no issues if you go apeshit with marine sealant. Tarps are easy to get, too and a floormat is easy to make. I also thought about just saying fuck it and getting a jonboat, but I like the idea of not needing a trailer for the pelican.
