if this thread takes off, this seems like an appropriate place for the question. has anyone successfully turned an iron on patch into a velcro patch by ironing the patch to a piece of velcro and then cutting it to fit?
>>2466106Suppose you could also sew the velcro to the patch.
I have yet to actually put these on anything.>>2466106I have not, but your best bet would be to both iron and then sew it to velcro. Double up the stick that way.
>>2466094i hope he will post updates
>>2466106I am sorry for not posting pictures but as with several other anons from outside the US I'm now banned from posting files. There have been massive range bans recently.I have done this with 3 different patches successfully. I used a neoprene contact adhesive normally used for shoemaking. The good thing about this adhesive versus say, superglue is that superglue crystallizes and becomes hard, while this kind of adhesive stays flexible, which is perfect for things like velcro. I'd take of piece of hook-side velcro, cut it to match the backside of the patch, apply glue to both sides, let dry, then press both together. They work like regular velcro patches now.
>>2466134oooo. thank you for the answer anon. exactly what i was looking for. i will look into this immediately
>>2466094Do y'all wear sex/meme patches when you're actually out?>>2466106Yes. Fabric glue is honestly better than ironing on though imo.

I no longer live in Merricka, so just as curio I was thinking of getting the New England flag.Básed or cringe?
>>2466325nevermind just found out the New England soccer team has commandeered the flag for their own merch and whatnot and now I don't want it
I don't normally make patches but my dad really likes this lil dude and wanted him done in subdued colors, figured you guys would appreciate it too>>2466328Their old maritime flag with "AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN" is really cool in its symbolism and just a very clean flag too, check that one out
>>2466322>>2466453>>2466275Think these are:https://bupsup.github.io/patches/https://www.vostokheavyindustries.com/
>>2466566>Their old maritime flagNot a bad one, but it was only adopted in 1775 and apparently is still in use today (less the slogan which was only removed in 1971).I like the other flag because it's the original ensign of the New England Confederation/Dominion of New England which preceded the USA by about 150 years and was the relevant non-English banner under which the six Indian Wars were fought, etc. My hometown was significantly effected by King Philip's War, with nearby settlements being entirely destroyed, and most people in my town are fully unaware of this history and they should be.Ah well, I'll pick one eventually. I like the Bunker Hill Flag too but it seems it actually probably never existed and was only the Continental Flag misprinted as blue in a book once
>>2466094I hope you all have made your own patches at least once
>>2466600nigga, is that a skinwalker furry (furry skinwalker?) on your backpack?

>>2466930Here is another I made
>>2466930>>2467201Thank you selfpatchanon, very cool.Did you consult a tutorial for this? Or just figured it out?
>>2467210Watched about two videos on YT for some pointers but pretty much just figured it out myself. It’s pretty easy draw or print out what you want cover the back of the paper with graphite, put fabric stabilizer on the fabric place the paper on it & trace the drawing with a pen & the graphite will transfer the image onto the stabilizer (You can just glue the paper right on the fabric if you don’t have stabilizer.)& all you gotta do is hoop it find the colors you need & get sewing, add a satin stitch all the way around & bam you got a patch. Here’s a little guide I made that I also shared in /K/
took the new patch on it's first hike.
>>2466981Don't be rude
>>2467025Its the Serbian/Croatian one. Its heavy and the waterbottle/other accessories it comes with kinda suck, but its perfect for boiling cans in. It also fits my trangia, fuel bottle and lighter in it which saves a bunch of space.
>>2467235amazing, holy shitthis and the Schaufenbruderschaft patch must be made at all costs

>>2469983The key word here is "Some". >>2466598Thank you.
>>2470132I like it, the load bearing is fantastic and I like that the side pouches are large enough for 48 oz nalgenes. If you're evaluating the price though keep in mind that you're probably going to want to replace the stock compression straps with one of the pouches that have and get one of their lumbar belts as well.
>>2469473Yeah that is wear I acquired it.
rough draft for kiwi /out/ patchany recommendations?
>>2467235having done this to a knife, I'd buy it
>>2467210Sorry for the mothering question and maybe it's just the picture, but does he always walk with his right foot turned inwards? If so, you might want to check that out and get him orthopedic insoles made to fit him specifically. He can outgrow it now, saves him a lot of trouble later (I wish my parents had).
>>2466106I did do that once but i suppose that most velcro strips don't take the adhesive from the patch well. so the best way is to iron them on first and then sew them on.
>>2470664Too dark. Outline the tree and kiwi, and make the ground green.
>>2467235the only change this needs is fixing that tangent between the tip of the blade and the P of CHOP. when things touch like that it's annoying to look at, space them out a bit
>>2469723It's a Tasmanian Tiger Raid mkiii. It's heavy for a 50l bag, but its tough. I can carry a winter bag and 4-5 days of food in it easily, although there isn't much room spare for extra fun things like cast iron.
Where can I find these patches?
>>2471960Please don't find the kekistan one

Went to the Philippines for a training exercise and brought 12 generic US flag and USMC morale patches, traded with the local military and left with this nice little collection
>>2472936Nice collection! >picrelI did not know that the Philippines were completely Abrahamicized kek. I thought the countries in SEA had generally managed to retain their native religions.
>>2472946I love that one, got it from a Security Forces guy in their Air Force, says his unit got to go to California and train with some USAF Pararescue guys, and they had this patch made for their unit. I gave that retard a $7 gold USMC logo
>>2472949Very cool. The only US Marines we trained with were ultimate based retards, charging hard, flooding all rooms always at high ready and flagging each other without a care in the world. You guys startled the euros a bit kek.
would someone buy this patch if I made it kek
