>bro do you even stalk edition

Last one is at bump limit, so let's have another thread for the /out/ activity that's most likely to give you actual cancer - innawoods S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Challenge rules at https://inna.zone

tl;dr: grab weapon, wear milsurp, go to cool abandoned area, don't get caught, don't die. Post pics and cool places you've been.

>nooooooo you're larping
Even larpers go outside, you're sitting on /out/ kvetching.

Not actually a PSL, it's an M91. What the PSL would have been if Romania was smart enough to give it a heavy barrel and adjustable gas system, and make the receiver able to stand heavy ball. I swapped the top handguard for a cheese grater, the rest is stock. Probably going to swap out optic at some point.

You know some of those old filters have asbestos in them right? However if you get a good one without asbestos that should be okay. It's NOT P100 rated or anything so be careful about places with limited fresh air ventilation. I recommend wiping down your shoes and washing your outerwear immediately when you get home. And watch out for the dump sites -- many of these facilities have a spot down by the river where they dumped literal tons of hazmat. You don't want to set up camp in one of those.

Shot from the lower section of the roof of the power plant.

I believe they're office blocks for the modern chemical engineering complex that lies adjacent to the site of the abandoned dynamite factory.

Incidentally they still specialise in explosives (now referred to as "energetics engineering", which sounds a lot less thrilling). Really set the mood for our two days of stalking when we were awoken by the sound of explosives being tested near where we had bedded down in an old storage facility. (picrel)

Anybody get their gear from anywhere specific? Been looking to go stalking and I've been feeling like getting faction oriented clothes. Something along the lines of egghead or Clear Sky. Probably something like a lead lined container or detector too. If there's any sites with scientific or CBRN gear then that would be great, thanks Stalkers!

probably midwest fag that cant legally smoke probably has little to no tolerance if they have ever even smoked so it might actually get them high. Or you can actually make pretty potent edibles with leaves and stems if you know how to prepare “weed” butter.

Thought this was /Stalker/ relevant
I just got a 3D printer and was looking for things to print, universal borderline 'naughty' items that would be useful in a shtf or if I find myself homeless
So far I have
>4 way silcock/utility water key to open commercial water valves
>5 sided water wrench to open/close hydrants or meters
>lockpicking shims and hooks
>common keys for cabinets and gates
>>
>>2253438
Definitely test these out before you depend on them. Not sure if a plastic commercial water key will be strong enough to open an old stiff valve. If it does open, let the water run long enough to flush bad stuff from the line. Cool kit though. I have metal versions of some of those -- never needed them but they're nice to have.

Good points, testing will certainly be done.
I do have metal options, but the cost of adding them to multiple kits (plus weight) is too much given the rarity they may be used.

>>
>>2253273
A gas mask with a good CBRN filter will absolutely protect you from that shit.
>>
>>2237091
Because it's the whole point ? Without the gear it just becomes some urban exploring x camping hybrid where you could have just done either instead.
>>
>>2254668
That's all it is even with the gear lmao
>>
>>2254743
It's not. You should check out Steve Wallis on youtube. He doesn't do STALKER stuff but he does all kinds of weird camping (camping in a culvert, sleeping in a body bag, camping like a hobo, impersonating people to smuggle strange camping gear, making ridiculous meals, etc). Purposely making gear choices and/or specific unconventional campsites is the vehicle for the whole exercise.
>>
>>2254753
You sound like a psychotic gear queer. What ever you have to tell yourself to justify camping in gas mask lol.

Standard filament such as PLA is too weak for a wrench like that. You have other options such as Nylon but that also requires upgrades, and I'm still not particularly convinced it would have sufficient strength. There are definitely lots of naughty options, but I would reconsider what exactly you try to make and try to make friends with a guy who has machining equipment instead.

You might be right about that. Most guys are running particulate filters though because replacing those combo filters gets expensive. And it really sucks when you use one too long and end up breathing the carbon dust lol.

Honestly yeah, unless it is severely under torqued I would not put my trust in it and would prefer to just carry a metal tool. But I have the blessing of a pickup truck and would just throw it in there rather than carry it with me 24/7, circle back if needed. Regarding castings, there is probably some use there if you make a mold for the sand. 3d printing excels at prototyping and replacing non load bearing parts, and a wrench is exactly the latter.

The ruins of an old concrete factory from the 1920's. Was a huge site really, lots of old downed power lines about, and a the structure was pretty unstable. Obviously the local kids would come out and get drunk/party there, which was kind of cool to see. An old place like this would be perfect for fall nights, sitting around a fire, and cracking a few beers.
